Chapter 37 - Spiderman's Last Stand

In an old, dilapidated building, Spider-Man was slammed down hard, crashing through a glass skylight with a deafening "bang" and collapsing through the floor below. As he tried to recover, a pumpkin bomb was tossed in his direction, exploding with a wave of intense heat and force that sent Spider-Man crashing into a wall. Rubble and debris fell on top of him, further crushing his already battered body.

Green Goblin, exuding malevolence, approached Spider-Man, unleashing a storm of attacks. Spider-Man, barely able to protect himself, was subjected to Green Goblin's taunts. The villain, reveling in his cruelty, stepped on Spider-Man's head and ripped off his mask.

"Peter, you treacherous bug," Green Goblin sneered. "Harry always considered you a friend, and yet you have a secret relationship with his girlfriend. You've truly disappointed Harry, and me as well."

The revelation hit Peter like a freight train. He had always seen Norman Osborn as a kind, busy chairman of the Osborn Group, not as a ruthless criminal. Stunned, Peter looked up at Green Goblin's dark helmet, realizing his uncle's true identity.

Green Goblin, seething with rage, ignored Peter's guilt and prepared for the final blow. He pulled out three bombs, stepping back with a sinister grin. "Goodbye, Peter Parker. Goodbye, Spider-Man."

Peter, immobilized and resigned, closed his eyes and bitterly accepted his fate. He had always admired Saitama from "One Punch Man" for his freedom and strength, but he was far from that ideal. Uncle Ben's death had shattered his illusions about heroism. Now, as he faced the end, all he could think of was Xu Mo's slow progress on the next comic issue.

Just as Green Goblin's triumphant grin widened, a sudden "shoo" sound cut through the air. A white light flashed, and the bombs were deflected away by an unseen force.

Green Goblin, startled, realized he couldn't withstand the explosions at such close range and scrambled to evade the blasts. One of the bombs exploded, casting a fiery glow that illuminated the room and revealed a small figure.

"Hey, you're Spider-Man. Being a superhero seems so fun," the figure said with an innocent yet mischievous smile. Mindy, dressed in a black leather jacket and a black windbreaker with her face concealed by a black blindfold, emerged from the shadows.

Green Goblin's eyes narrowed with suspicion. "Little girl, who are you?"

Mindy grinned confidently. "Hmph, I'm a superhero. A super-killer girl, here to catch criminals."

She had given herself a code name and was excited by her new role. Once considered a criminal, she was now reveling in her newfound heroism.

Peter, lying injured, weakly urged, "Run."

Green Goblin, enraged by the presence of this unexpected new hero, lost his composure. He furiously kicked Peter in the head, causing him to lose consciousness and fall into a coma.

"Boy, you want to die? I'll make sure you get what you wish for," Green Goblin snarled, preparing to throw another pumpkin bomb.

Mindy remained unflinching. She activated her equipment, ejecting a wire from her scabbard and attaching it to the wall. As the gas tank inflated, the fan rotated, allowing her to swiftly maneuver out of the way of the incoming bomb.

With a graceful, practiced move, Mindy avoided the explosion, ensuring she was in position to continue her fight against Green Goblin and protect Spider-Man. The battle raged on, with Mindy's unexpected intervention turning the tide in this desperate struggle.
