Urgency

Part One - Painful Rest 

I had returned home thanks to the help of Asuna and Marcus who accompanied me, I thanked them both again for defending Akari against Colmillos. 

Marcus made a gesture that I didn't need to thank him. 

-Hikaru... I'm a bit worried you did nothing but complain of pain on the way, I should support Akari you should go to a hospital. 

-I can't see you like this, you are suffering like this because of me, let's go to the hospital to be seen. 

Even Marcus who didn't say a word agreed with the girls... I also didn't understand how my giant friend was almost as if he was nothing after having gone through a concrete wall. 

-Another thing Akari, stop putting yourself down, nothing is your fault, it's all the fault of whoever turned you into a wraith and that Colmillos wretch. 

My words failed to convince her, she still felt guilty for my deplorable state. 

-Hikaru is right, you shouldn't blame yourself, it's the fault of others Akari. 

Asuna tried to grab Akari's hands, but failed miserably because of Akari's disembodied body. 

-Guys, I don't want to be ungrateful, but we might wake up my family, and I don't want any more trouble for today, so take care of yourselves, I'm going in with Akari. 

-We're leaving now, but at least rest this weekend.... Akari, what's that behind you.

Akari turned around, Asuna took advantage of the moment to give me a kiss very close to the corner of my lip.

I didn't even try to climb through my window, so I just went through the front door, I just hoped I didn't wake anyone up, I climbed very slowly up the stairs and went straight to my room, when I was about to open my door, the sound of another door opening interrupted me. 

-Hikaru, it's your sister. 

-It's 1 o'clock in the morning Hikuaru, you are quite late.... Did you have a good time? 

-We can say yes, I guess so. 

Emi was sleepy, at first I thought she stayed awake waiting for me, but no, I must have woken her up with my footsteps. 

-Well I'm glad, go to sleep, if you wake up early... don't forget it, good night. 

-Goodnight Emi, thank you. 

She closed her door and I did the same. 

Part Two - Concern. 

(P.o.v) Akari. 

Hikaru had been moaning in pain for hours, I was lying next to him, without him seeing me he opened it, even though he couldn't feel me... this was all my fault, it's only been 3 days and Hikaru was already hurt, should I stay away from him? that doubt had been gnawing at me for a while, maybe that was the right answer, but I don't want to, without him I would have given up with everything that happened, is it too selfish of me to love him the way I am now? but I also can't afford that one day he might lose his life protecting me, how I wish I hadn't 'woken up' after I was killed, I had to let Fangs kill me, so Hikaru maybe after a while he could make a life with Asuna, she is tender, she cares as much as I do for him, if that day I hadn't run into Hikaru on the rooftop, I'm sure the two of them would be together. .. I know that Asuna kissed him near his lip, that made me jealous, I'm upset, but not with my boyfriend but with Asuna, even so, I think I would be better off with her, with someone I could touch, feel, kiss, even when Hikaru told me the name of the 9 seasons square, I wanted to have sex with him without hesitation, but I can't because I don't have a body.

The things in Hikaru's house were going on with total normality, he managed to act as if nothing happened, besides it was easy for him, since Emi left to work early, Hikaru only went downstairs to have breakfast and dinner together with his stepmother, they didn't talk about much, but I think I heard Camila, Hikaru's stepmother saying that his brothers will come to visit soon, really my thoughts of getting away from Hikaru kept me absorbed, so I wasn't very attentive. 

I tried several times to convince Hikaru to go to the hospital to check the bruise, but my complaints were in vain, he wouldn't let me check his ribs either, I know I heard a muffled scream when he went to take a shower, and I didn't have the courage to spy on him when he was naked. 

In the afternoon Emi arrived, she came to.... I think she came to annoy her brother a bit... I hope so.

Emi had thrown him a small colorful box that fit in one hand, when Hikaru moved from the bed to receive what she had thrown him he shrieked in pain again, even so, he managed to catch the box.

-No, that was nothing, I moved too fast, don't worry, but thanks you didn't have to bother... but what the hell, why are you buying me condoms? 

-You don't need to shout it across the seven seas either, since you started going out at night with friends, I prefer that if you're going to hook up with a girl you do it with a conscience, besides you have nothing to be ashamed of, you're at that age, just remember the conversation we had when you were 13, and don't make mistakes that you might regret later.

The words Hikaru was saying were beautiful to hear, but they made me ache even more for the decision I had already made. 

-Hikaru, silly I trust you, but as I know that one of those friends you went out with last night is Asuna, well I can't trust that she won't seduce you, and that girl makes even me depressed, if you know what I'm talking about. 

-Yes, of course, even so, Akari's are better... and you don't have to be depressed, you have a very good front, Emi. 

I felt like hitting my head over and over again how Hikaru can say this kind of embarrassing things, is he that interested in me, maybe he's also interested in my body... just thinking about it makes me a bit exasperated, the worst of it is that I'm sure it had the same impact on his sister, who was red.

-It's nothing serious, I need to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back. 

Hikaru got up with a lot of pain, but as soon as he took a step he slouched and fell on his knees to the ground, I couldn't stand it anymore.

-Akari, where are you going? 

I went as fast as I could to Emi's room, when I was about to go to her room she opened the door, for a second I thought she had seen me, since, it seemed that we made eye contact, but she passed through me, apparently she was going to the bathroom, I didn't waste time, I went into her room. I needed something to give her a message, I walked over to her desk, lucky for me she had left a notebook on top of it. 

It took me at least a minute to open the notebook and bring the pencil to him, but it took me much longer to write something, in 5 minutes I managed to write only 3 words: Hikaru broken rib. 

I dropped the pencil a thousand times because as soon as I grabbed it after less than a second it would go through me and fall, it was so frustrating and overwhelming, I'm just a hindrance for him, I can't even help him properly. 

Emi had gone back to her room, he threw himself straight onto her bed, all she did was stand still as she stared at the ceiling. 

I desperately tried to talk to her to get her to listen to me, but it wasn't working, so I slammed my hand down on a pencil holder that was on the desk, making noise. 

Emi jumped with fright. 

-But what the hell was that... damn pencil holder, it must have fallen down because of the overweight, I hope so... mmm, what is this, this ugly handwriting is not mine... Hikaru...broken...rib...broken. 

Emi ran out to Hikaru's room, I went after her, she went straight into the room. 

-Emi, what's wrong? -said Hikaru. 

Emi didn't answer him she went straight to him. 

-Hey why are you coming so close? 

Emi grabbed him by the shoulder and lifted up his shirt. 

Hikaru made eye contact with me, then he saw Emi who had covered his mouth, Hikaru's situation was horrible, how could I let him endure so much. 

Emi lifted Hikaru in her arms, he moaned a little because of the pain. 

-Father, hurry, it's urgent, we have to take my brother to the hospital! 

The father didn't understand the whole situation, but stumbled out of the room, he was pulling up his trousers. 

They rushed Hikaru to the hospital, I had many doubts whether to take the opportunity to leave or go with them, but I couldn't leave without knowing how Hikaru was really doing, so I went with them.
