Trouble in the Canteen

"Ahahaha, what happened to you, Harvie. Why do you look as if you saw a ghost?" a girl went forward and acted overly cute. She was different from the girl that loathe Imee and wore a skimpy outfit.

But Harvie did not reply and had his jaw unmoved.

The girl was confused and was about to ask again when she was pulled by Travis. She looked at him and saw him point over the table at the corner.

She then understood what was happening.

'Damn, Harvie is outgoing and kind to his friends but when he's like that, even I don't know what to do with him. He's like a sore-loser brat.' Travis would've said that to him if only Harvie wasn't in that current mood.

Travis wasn't with Harvie when he encountered Imee on Saturday but Travis already knew his personality. In fact, Harvie already told him about Imee's father being a monster.

Travis was shocked to hear that from Harvie. This beast is calling someone a monster? That person must be a demon then.

As Renir fill his belly, his sense was getting back, and wanted to ask about the canteen's atmosphere.

This was the first time Renir has ever set foot in the cafeteria. Not just because he was bullied but because he has no money to buy snacks for break time. His Uncle Josh wouldn't give him an allowance, making him weak for a whole day.

That was the reason he was not fighting back. Although he was also afraid his bullies will get more aggressive, he didn't want to waste his energy on something like a one-sided skirmish.

So Renir had no idea if this weird atmosphere was normal or not but that was not what he asked. What he asked is about the man just standing there, glaring at him.

The two of them were seated at the table on a corner. If that man was not glaring at him, then that man was glaring at the space in front of him.

"Is it always like this in the canteen?" he whispered with discomfort.

Imee shook her head and replied, "No, canteens are always noisy."

"Then why is it so quiet?"

'Because the Rat Hero is here!' Imee wanted to say, but what came out was, "I don't know." she just continued to nibble on her chips.

"Hmm, do you think it's because of that guy glaring at us?" Renir pointed at Harvie.

Harvie saw this and when the two made eye contact, he lifted his head and had an expression of "You up for a fight?"

But Renir ignored this which made Harvie's face red and raging.

"Who?" Imee turned her head around to see not an aggressive man but a sad one.

'Wow, that was fast.' Renir reacted when he saw the lightning-quick change of expression.

When Imee saw Harvie, she just turned her head back to Renir and said, "I don't who that is but you should hurry up, the class will start soon."

'This people are insane, ignoring the Alpha like that…' Marvic and his two friends were in between Harvie and the couple which made their head dropped down. The guy who was hit by the plastic thrown by Ken, enjoyed this scene secretly.

'The Idol ignoring the Alpha is normal, but the wimp?! That stupid ass, his face will get beaten to pulp later!' Ken smiled at that thought.

Sian, on the other hand, was still despairing, 'Alpha, please kill this envy-inducing wimp. He's just a poor dog getting fed by the Idol!'

Harvie's head twitched when even Imee ignored her.

"Hm? Really?" on the corner, Renir was sure the bell just rang not too long ago. There should be at least ten minutes before the class starts.

"Really" Imee repeated but in her head, it was chaotic;

'What have I done?! Because of me, Harvie will target Renir from now on! After knowing that this might happen, I did this mistake. What a failure! Ahhh~ I'm such a failure…' but then, she thought of something.

"And from now on," Imee leaned forward to whisper which took Renir by surprise, "You should always stick by me."

She leaned back, satisfied, 'I guess this is not bad. Yes, this is to protect him, we should always be together.'

When Travis saw how the Idol whispered onto Renir's ear, he thought, 'Oh no...' he then looked at his side to see Harvie who was already walking towards the two with a darkened expression. He just sighed, seemed like it's unavoidable to have trouble.

Back to the table, Renir was stunned by Imee's action and answered, "Sure"

But in his mind, his answer was different, 'YES, I WILL!' his cheeks reddened in shyness as he finally heard the mutters from a table beside them.

"...death....death....death..." was the aura the three were giving. Every man who saw this was filled with jealousy, especially the Marvic and the two.

'What the hell?! He's just Renir! How could this wimp get so close to the Idol?!' was what the three thought.

'Marvic?' Renir for the first time saw the three bullies that beat him up in the abandoned church again after he woke up from the coma. He wanted to ask them what happened after that, but that's for later, he decided.

When Marvic and the other two saw Renir noticing them, they made expressions to intimidate and scare him, "You're dead."

Under these glares, any other guy would evade their eyes, especially Renir, the Indestructible Wimp. Well, at least, that was before.

Just thinking about how he was being bullied by these three, Renir was ashamed at himself. His eyes turned cold and aloof. Even with no intention of harm, it made the glare of the three became of surprise.

'I was scared of them?' Renir thought to himself, 'Maybe if they try to take me to the abandoned church again, I will ask them there.'

Imee obviously saw this, 'He really changed... the Renir two weeks ago wouldn't be able to act indifferent towards the glare of his bullies. What happened?' she pondered with confusion and satisfaction arising inside.

That was when the fourth man with death glare earlier arrived at their spot after a slow walk.

"Imee, who's he?" Harvie smiled as he gently asked. Too gentle...

Imee clicked her tongue. She was the only one person who could act like this while getting out unharmed in front of the Alpha.

"Why would you want to know?" Imee did not give the effort to hide her cold attitude.

"I'm just curious, you know. You still haven't told me who took you out on a date on Saturday." Harvie placed his elbow on Imee's chair.

Imee furrowed her eyebrows and thought, 'Since I just have to be with Renir every time, I don't need to hide it anymore.'

"Yes, it was ME who invited him for a date," she said with a confident smile yet her head was turned away from both Harvie and Renir, not wanting to show her expression.

"Ka!" a second-year girl who was drinking threw up her drink when she heard this. She was not the only one's surprised but everyone had their eyes widened.

'The Idol invited the wimp to a date?!' everyone had this in their heads.

'Ahhh~~ I said it.... but I'm sure Renir will understand that I didn't 'mean' it, right?' she then glanced over Renir and saw he was just silent with his eyes widened, clearly shock like everyone else.

'That's a date!?' ecstasy was brewing inside Renir as he thought of this.

Seeing Renir's reaction, Imee's cheeks to her neck turned red, 'Ahhh~~~ I want to disappear!'

At the same time, Harvie looked at Renir with doubtful eyes, "Hah?"

After seeing Renir's embarrassed face, Harvie sharply frowned but then, he laughed out loud.

"HAHAHAHA!!" which filled the quiet canteen.

Every student there were silent and had their eyes on the table on the corner where three "Entitled" were. A very rare occurrence to see. Although the Indestructible Wimp was for a joke, it was still a title known throughout the school.

Even though the food on their table was long finished, no one intended to leave. Anything that will happen right there, including earlier, will be big news!

"This guy?!" Harvie leaned forward and pointed at Renir, "This wimp-looking man?"

Harvie had yet to realize that Renir is the one called the "Indestructible Wimp" since he had never met Renir before.

"I don't even know him. Are you sure you want to be with this guy?!" Harvie had his eyes wide open and his mouth shouting at Imee.

The students in the canteen wanted to stand up for the Idol so badly that they are amassing the courage to go up against the Alpha. Yet, the first one that would stand up will take the Alpha's anger. Although they all knew that if one stood up, then all will follow, none have enough courage to take the initiative.

Imee once proved them that when they act together, those delinquents doesn't have a chance against them. She would always take the initiative for them to follow. Now that she was the victim, no one was standing up to her.

"I don't get it, you would choose a man like this instead of me?" Harvie continued to shout, "I'm doing everything just to get you but I'm being defeated by this guy?! You're not even batting an eye to anyone, who would even know that you would choose someone like this! You're joking, right?!"

Imee was undisturbed by this but she was getting irritated hearing Harvie talk like that, especially towards Renir.

'So no one's going to stop this guy? I thought I did well on establishing their courage to fight against bullies. I know I'm not being bullied but still. I'm the one being harassed here, yet you always want me to take the initiative? Well, I guess Harvie is on a different league from your normal delinquents. Fine then...'

Imee was about to take the initiative like she always did, however...

"Could you please stop shouting? You're discomforting her."

'Oh, so someone did stand up.' Imee was a bit satisfied but that satisfaction turned to mixed feelings when she saw that the one who stood up for her wasn't any of the students she established courage with, but the one who was always being bullied, Renir.

Renir stood there, with his face sweating and his eyebrows furrowed, 'I stood up too fast, and now my stomach hurts from overeating.'

'Huh?' Imee was confused as the sight of Renir standing up for the first time was engraved into her, 'How could he do that...?'

"Hm?" Harvie then looked at Renir with cold eyes, not taking him seriously, but before he could say anything, the crowd behind him started protesting.

"What are you doing to the school president?!"

"Get out of here!"

"She clearly doesn't like you!"

"Even if you're the Alpha, you don't have the right to shout at the school president!"

"Boo!-"

Shouts reverberated and the students in the canteen protested in unison.

"Get out of here!"

"Get out of here!"

"Get out of here!"

The people in front of Harvie was not protesting since they were in his reach, If he turns violent then they would be the first to get done for. However, the protest and booing continued from the very back until…

Tak!* a foot then slammed on the table which a group of students was booing. They looked at him and saw it was Travis.

"Who are you booing to?" he glared at them.

Some of Harvie's "friends" then kicked the table after table to shut them up while intimidating them. Even the girls from the Alpha's group scared Marvic, Ken, and Sian.

"Shut your mouth up!"

"If you can't keep your mouth shut, we will!"

Harvie's "friends" were sweating while shutting others up since they were scared at that time. They were anxious they were making an enemy out of the Idol which means the whole school.

When the girls in the group learned about the attitude of the girl that wore the skimpy outfit towards Imee from Saturday, they isolated her, leaving alone and out of the group. That's how they were concerned about it.

When they finally shut the canteen, they knew that was just a portion of the whole school. If this reached out to every student, then they will get in a lot of trouble. However, since the Alpha himself is in "fight" against the Idol, they wouldn't back down that easily.

It should be known that almost everyone in Harvie's group was athletic. They may be on the basketball club, volleyball, or just the fitness club, but one thing is for sure, they are a wolf themselves for being in the Alpha's group, also known as the "Pack"

"Should we call the principal?" one canteen staff who was watching from the start asked another.

"Yeah, this is going out of hand." the other replied.

Their school was lax because it lacked the enforcement of rules. That was the reason for the numerous delinquents. However, ever since the Idol's arrival it became stricter than before.

Chaos like this rarely happens after her arrival so seeing that the Idol herself was at the scene, the staff weren't a bit worried. But now, it was getting out of control.

"Ohhhh--- what a sight, what a sight!" Old Rogers who went to get water felt lucky to have witnessed this scene.
