The Eccentric Nurse

Harvie's eyes widened, "So he's the one who always steals the number 2 spot from me in exams. Whew, I feel defeated knowing he was above in exam even though he was having a hard time."

"Hahaha, don't worry about it, Harvie. We all know you don't take school seriously since you're focused on your martial arts."

Harvie only smiled in response.

"But man, even though he's a wimp, he got a title. I also want one but it's impossible for me to compete against you guys. I want to be as popular as the Alpha."

"Haha, that's me. I'm very popular."

"Then there's the Mountain."

Harvie's smile faded slightly, "Hmm"

"Even though I regularly hit the gym, I don't dream to compete with the Mountain."

"Rai Ki, huh?"

"Yeah, you've met him?" the guy asked Harvie with expectation.

Currently, the whole room quietened and only the two were speaking. However, the teacher did not say a word to stop them and continued the discussion. Their classmates, on the other hand, were listening to the two's conversation. They were pretty curious about Harvie's answer.

Anything about or between the five are something to be known about.

"Yeah, we sparred once," Harvie answered with slight annoyance.

Hearing Harvie's tone, the guy didn't pursue the question and moved on, "I'm jealous but I don't want a title like the Indestructible Wimp, though."

"What?" Harvie smiled again, "Want to compete with the Wicked?"

The guy's face turned purple hearing that as he whispered, "Dude, why are saying that here? What if one of his underlings is here? That dude's crazy. Even without a reason, he would make your life hell just by attracting his attention."

"Yeah, yeah, if I attracted his attention, surely you guys will be in danger." Harvie joked. As the Alpha, the Wicked surely has noticed him. He just haven't offended the one who is called the Wicked.

"Umm, guys, could you tone it down, please?" the teacher who was relatively young finally spoke up when he heard Harvie mention that title.

"Yes, sir, sorry." the guy conversing with Harvie apologized then whispered again, "See, even the teachers are scared of that dude. Rumors say that even the police couldn't anything to him because he's a part of that big gang here."

"Well, they're scared because the rumors might be probably true."

"What? You know about it?"

"Probably" Harvie shrugged it off.

The guy then stayed silent when he heard that, sweating while fearing the one who was titled the Wicked.

"You wouldn't mention the Idol, the 'Leader'?" Harvie chuckled when he saw his friend's scared expression.

"No, you would probably get angry at me if I say I would compete with the Idol."

Harvie's eyes widened in surprise.

"Eh?"

"So you have a brain."

"Hm?" The guy raised an eyebrow, "Why are you so shocked by it?"

"No, I was shocked because of a different reason. Haha."

"Hmm, what reason is that?"

"Well, I just realized that since this Indestructible Wimp is back then bullies would surely flock to him, no?"

The friend listened and nodded.

"But the Idol specifically hates bullying so the bullies will try to mess with Renir somewhere hidden. That's where I come in, I will beat those bullies up and then show them to her. She would definitely praise me, wouldn't she, Travis?" Harvie confidently said.

"Umm, yeah." the friend, Travis then thought, 'So I guess everyone's an idiot when in love.'

As the he bell rings, Harvie stood up and slammed on his desk, "It's decided then! I'm definitely going to impress and show off to that father of hers when we're a couple."

"Woah, you're skipping a few steps there, Harvie..."

A little time earlier, Renir had entered the school nurse's office and found the nurse there doing paperwork on her desk, one of the school's crush, Nurse Mitha.

'How strange for me to talk to so many nurses... in different places in these past few days... for different reasons.' Renir thought himself before speaking to the school nurse when she noticed him.

With round glasses, clear brown eyes, long hair tied as a supple bun at the back of her head, and lean face with a clean and pale face; not to mention her casual outfit with an addition of a lab coat, she was stunning to look at.

"Yes? What's the problem..., Renir? You're back." Nurse Mitha's face had the expression of "I knew it!" as if expecting Renir to come, "What took you so long?" she whispered.

"Nurse Mitha, I want to take a shower." Renir noticed her whisper something but now that he came back there, he remembered that he always stayed there after every beating from the bullies, and it was frequent.

"Why? The shower here is not something anybody can use, you should have a good reason for it."

"I stink." Renir got straight to the point.

"....." Nurse Mitha frowned before sniffing the air, "I don't smell anything."

".,, I don't stink that bad for you to smell from there." Renir still stood by the door while the nurse was seated behind her desk about two meters away from him. He didn't know if she was joking or not.

'Somethings strange about him.' Nurse Mitha felt that she was speaking to a different person but couldn't explain why, "Then, come here." she suggested with her finger calling him.

When Renir stepped in front of the desk, Nurse Mitha abruptly stood up, slapping her desk Pak* then leaned forward.

"Ah...!" Renir was caught surprise but didn't step back as he heard, Sniff* Sniff*

"....." he just looked at the puppy-like nurse sniffing his clothes for a moment as he thought, 'Yeah, I remembered being an acquaintance with this whimsical nurse.'

"Okay, shoo, you do stink." Nurse Mitha said as she flaps her hand, driving Renir away, "The towel is on the bed and inside the shower, you can find a bar of soap, no shampoo though."

Renir nodded and opened the curtain to see the bed he was always resting on before, 'I was pathetic back then...' took the towel and opened the door beside the bed.

"Woah, this is my first time here. It's like it's newly made!"

Nurse Mitha heard an echo from the shower room.

"Of course, I just said that it's rarely used," she replied. She then sat down and tap her pen on the table and she leaned her cheek on one hand while she thinks, 'It really feels strange. That's Renir, right?' she tried to recall what Renir was like from before to see what the difference was now.

"Hmmm..." After a couple of moments, the bell rang, simultaneously, as she got what was the difference.

Unlike others, Renir was able to talk to Nurse Mitha normally without stutters and shyness so it took her a while to get it. And the conclusion she had was:

'He seemed to have confidence now?' she stopped tapping her pen as she saw Renir got out of the shower, of course, with clothes on.

"Hm, finally break time." being inside the nurse office where he was always staying before, Renir was a bit comfortable.

"Oh" Nurse Mitha stared at him, "You seemed like a man now."

"Eh?" Renir was momentarily stunned before shying away, "...what do you mean by that?" a moment after, he recovered and asked, "And, nurse, can you help me wrapped the bandage around my arm again?"

"Oh yeah, I noticed you have a bandage wrapped around your arm earlier, wh- Ah!" a shout filled the whole nurse's office when Nurse Mitha saw the wound on Renir's arms.

But as a professional, she recovered fast. She was mostly shocked because Renir was so casual about it.

"Is this wound new, but it's already dry. How many days has it been since you got this?" she asked.

"About a day and a half."

"Hm, come here, I'll wrap that using a new bandage."

While Nurse Mitha helped Renir wrapped his arms using new bandages, he told her what happened. Although he did not tell everything, it was enough to keep the whimsical nurse amused while being scared at the same time.

"There's a man as strong as that?"

"Yes," Renir exclaimed, "I couldn't believe it too. When he hit me, I felt like someone directly punched me on the chest."

"If that's true, then there are definitely fractures here, but the clinic doctor is right, you can still go to school."

By then, the nurse finished and waved the hungry Renir goodbye.

Renir took his bag and said, "Thanks for the shower, nurse."

"Sure" Nurse Mitha casually replied.

Renir then took his bag and exited but then Nurse Mitha shouted as she stood up again, "Ah, come back here later, Renir! You haven't told me what happened to you in these past two weeks!"

But Renir was already out of the nurse's office. Nurse Mitha then sat down to see Renir peeked his head in and said, "Okay, later." then out.

"..."

Nurse Mitha's eyes widened for a moment before chuckling, "He's still Renir."

Half of the student body has recess after the second subject and the other half, after the third. Yet, the vacant field in front of the school was still filled with students, eating, and chatting.

The canteen, adjacent to the third building, was also filled with lines inside but Renir was yet to be there as he searches the whole school for Imee.

He ran through the crowds, searching. He didn't know what class Imee was but he knew that they were both first years.

"Isn't that kid look familiar?"

"He looked like Renir."

"You mean the Indestructible Wimp in the first year?"

"Yeah, I heard he disappeared for a whole two weeks, and then earlier this morning, he was just lying on the side of the street, sleeping."

"Hehe, I actually saw him, not just this morning, even yesterday, he incredibly slept under the sun. Nobody disturbed him since all the people thought he was just a homeless guy."

Girls and boys from the first year to the third year were chattering about Renir while the man himself was still oblivious to it.

Renir was walking through room to room looking for Imee. Of course, he skipped his classroom because they weren't classmates.

But as he reached the final room and saw no crush of his there, he dismayed before he was suddenly, yet lightly, got pulled from behind.

"Imee" after turning around, Renir finally saw her, there was cheeriness behind his voice.
