Storm is Brewing

"What are you doing here??" Imee wanted to complain but seeing that Renir was fine, she just shut up and listened to what he will say.

On the other side, Renir wanted to explain but his stomach changed his priorities right away.

"Have you put anything in my bag?" Renir tried to be indirect just to be safe.

Imee was confused, "Umm, no?"

"Oh, so you're not the one you put money in my bag?" Renir said but his tone signified that he was talking to himself.

"Money? I don't remember anything like that. You mean, you don't know where it came from?"

Renir slowly shook his head while pondering, curious who could've have left that kind of money in his bag. He was so sure that he did not find any money as large as that back in the apartment.

'Wait, if it isn't from Imee then...' a huge smile could be seen on his face as he answered Imee's question;

"No, it must be so must be some reverse thief."

"Reverse thief?" Imee stared at him before exploding out constrained laughter,

"Pfftt! Hahaha, what does that even mean." she softly covered her mouth.

Renir scratched his head, embarrassed, and said, "I'll explain it to you, but first, I haven't eaten anything since we had lunch together." he leaned forward to whisper.

"Eh?" Imee's laughter dissipated, "... but that was on Saturday."

Renir nodded.

Imee just let out a poker face in response.

Renir thought he was about to get scolded again but he felt a touched on his hand and got pulled over.

"You have to explain to me what happened." Imee lead Renir with fast and large strides towards the canteen.

The two walked on the field. Students that walk around in groups stopped by their tracks when they saw that unexpected scene.

Renir looked around and noticed that they were garnering attention. He felt eyes from all sides and whispers accompanied.

"Seriously? She's holding his hand?!"

"I don't understand this. I thought she was always cold and aloof towards everyone."

"She's always ignoring the Alpha, everyone thought that she wasn't interested in that kind of thing."

..... Each step the two made on their way, whispers were created and these attracted more attention. By the time they entered the canteen, the whole school was in turmoil!

"Oh my god! How will the Alpha react to this?!"

"That man, isn't he the Indestructible Wimp? Holy..."

"He's gonna get killed."

Inside the canteen, Marvic was enjoying their acquired seat. With so many students eating in break time, it is rare one can occupy a seat inside the canteen. He and his two friends, Ken and Sian were laughing and enjoying their time inside the noisy canteen, filled with students.

"What will we do to him this time?" Ken asked as he sat on the table.

Marvic shrugged, "I don't know. At first, we were just teasing him but his timidness was annoying me so going with the flow, I just beat him up."

"I don't really like punching someone, even if it' the wimp." after biting his tuna sandwich, Sian said but then widely smiled, "But I guess I'll just give him my homework again. Man, these two weeks were tough without him. My scores are low and I have to do them my own."

"That's what you are supposed to do, idiot!" Ken shouted as he threw a plastic to a person from behind.

That person was also a first-year student, he looked at his back at what hit him and saw Ken glaring at him, "What?"

The guy frowned but under the glare, he just stayed silent and turned back to his table.

"Heh, that's what I thought." Ken threw another plastic but this time the guy did nothing.

His actions were noticeable to others.

"Just because none of the four is here, they do whatever they want."

"Aren't they scared that this might reach the Idol?"

Hearing this made Ken clicked his tongue, "Tsk!" and said to the other two, "They can only whisper as if they will do it but too afraid when they are near the Idol herself."

The three acted as if they own the place. If not obvious, these three are ones of the many delinquents at school. The three were enjoying their time and food while being a disturbance to nearby students.

Ever since the "Leader", or more commonly called the Idol arrived, almost half of the delinquents became upright while some became as unnoticeable as possible. But there are those who saw the loophole. Where as long as the Idol herself hasn't saw them red-handed, nothing will happen to them since no one was close enough to report it to her.

Of course the Idol learned this problem and created a "Complain Box" which students who are shy enough to report the bullies can put a letter in there. However, the delinquents had made the areas where the complain boxes are, afraid that the previous people they messed with still had grudge against them.

Sometimes, the Idol herself will guard the boxes but in turn, almost everyone shy away in her presence. Which is ironic…

Currently, they are still sour from what happened this morning that they just mess with others as they go on their way.

Until silence pervaded the ever-noisy building. The three knew who might've entered and quickly sat upright and cleaned their desk in a hurry. As sweat filled their faces, they turned their head to see who it was.

If it is the Alpha or the Mountain, then they should stay quiet as much as possible.

If it is the Idol, then it should be safe unless they were caught red-handed while being an asshole.

If it is the Wicked, then everyone should've silently got out of the canteen.

When the three turned their heads around to see who it was, they raised an eyebrow.

"Wait, isn't it just Renir?" Marvic whispered.

Ken and Sian were about to nod and laugh until their jaws almost fell onto the ground!

"….." The three bumped their heads together as they whispered;

"Why is the Idol with him?" Ken wanted to shout but can only whisper.

Sian clenched his teeth and fist, "Son of a... I'm jealous..!"

"Wait, wait" Marvic tried to be optimistic, "There's no way they are together, it's just a coincidence!"

The other two nodded and peeked their heads again. Then they saw the Idol brazenly walked towards the counter, skipping the line.

No, it wasn't that, the students in the line gave way to her and she unhesitatingly took the offer and ordered at the counter.

However, that was not the focus because it was common sense to give way to the Idol. It was when their eyes saw what was between the Idol and Renir.

The three bumped their heads together again. Their faces were now sweating.

"N-no... are they holding hands???" Ken was trembling.

Sian was now biting his lips with his face clenched while virtual tears of blood flowed from his eyes, "Goddammit!"

"Shit!" Marvic was the one whose face was purplish, "Why is that wimp so close to the Idol?!"

"Marvic, what if he told her about us?" Ken muttered in fear. Being an enemy of the Idol means being an enemy of the whole school including the Alpha and the Mountain.

"...." when Marvic heard this, his face paled but he tried to be as optimistic as possible, "No, that coward wouldn't try to snitch on us."

"Yes... you're right. It's the wimp we're talking about. There's no way he could talk to the idol that easily."

Meanwhile, Sian was biting his collar in desperation, "Holding hand with the idol??? Goddammit, wimp, I wanna smack my thick homework to his fac-."

"Imee, I could've treated you this time."

"No, that's for your meal every day, and you don't even know where that came from and you're going to use it to treat me?"

Their heads turned around to see the school's Idol. Up close, no one can deny her beauty which stunned the boys as she walked by.

Eventually, even Ken and Marvic got jealous.

'GODDAMMIT!'

Imee and Renir sat down to a table on the corner with windows on both sides of the walls. It was fresh and clean to eat at. Even though many "fought" to get their table in the canteen, no one tried to sit on that table as if it was reserved.

Renir looked around and wanted to ask about the strange crowds, always has their attention to them, however, in front of the mountain of snacks and sandwiches, Renir could only move his jaw not to talk but to eat. Imee wanted to ask something too but looking at the food-deprived Renir, she just nibbled her snack as she watched.

Marvic got pale just from watching them. It was the first time the Idol had invited someone to eat with her.

But then a gasped was heard in the silence. It came from a random girl who immediately covered her mouth and tried not to be noticed.

The reason she gasped, as if in shock, was revealed when Marvic saw a man standing behind the canteen door, blocking others to enter, yet, nobody said a word.

This man has a ghastly expression as his aura overwhelmed the atmosphere.

"Harvie? What got you frozen there? Did you spot your crush this time?" Travis entered the scene with the crowd behind him, they are a part of the Alpha's "friends"
