Fellnigh's First Dojo and its Master

"Finally..." Avron was holding an umbrella, making a comfortable shade under the high noon. He breathed deeply after having fresh air while riding a bike.

"Haa~" meanwhile, Sam was wheezing, coughing, and was drenched on his own sweat.

Currenty, the two stood in front of a big gate. it was wooden and looked ancient with a roof on top of it, it has overlapping tiles and aesthetically carved edges.

'It's the first time I'm here. One of the dojos in Fellnigh's assets.' Sam wiped his sweat as he looked up to the thick wall of bricks beside the wooden gate.

'Although it is a dojo, it is actually the base of the group that controls the police force and powerhouses in the martial world.' thinking being inside there was feet-chilling.

"Come..." Avron said with his usual low voice, scaring Sam who already was thinking of going back to school.

However, he had no word over it as he followed his boss while fanning himself using his uniform.

Avron then knocked onto the door, creating loud thuds that could be heard throughout the quiet neighborhood.

After a few minutes or so, the door slowly opened, showing how heavy it was when the one who opened it had a body of a bodybuilder and face of a veteran.

Sam was surprised and expected it at the same time.

"Oh, Young Boss Avron, come in." his face stern but his tone and voice were soft and polite as he nodded then opened the door even more so.

After Sam left the bike outside, the two entered through the wooden door. A flattened soil field filled with training equipment and broken objects welcomed them, it can be determined that the training here was brutal. It also explains the build of this man that led them.

In front of them was a traditional dojo house, the only difference is it's size, having three stories tall and as wide as a millionaire's mansion.

"What can we do you for you?"

But the scariest part was that even this scary man was polite to the Wicked. This supports the rumor that he had a big backing and has the police force in hands.

"I want to talk with Uncle Ernanfo." Avron casually said.

"Hmm," the stern man nodded and said with his tough voice, "Master just began his daily routine and does not want to be disturbed until he finished."

"Oh, how long will that be?"

Sam's eyes widened, 'The Wicked didn't say an objection?!' it was a surreal sight to see. Back in school, whatever the Wicked wants, he gets in either the others being submissive or him getting it horrifically. Only when his wishes clash with the Alpha, the Mountain, or the Idol does he sometimes change his mind or make the trouble to make compromises. Either way, the other three make no advances towards him, making it obvious who's at the top.

"When the sun sets down." the stern and big man answered.

"That long? Uncle trains for almost half a day?"

"Yes, he had been repeating his routine non-stop since he was a child. Because of it, Master's routine can kill an average man if they were forced to it."

'That much?!' Sam doubted.

"Hmm" Avron just nodded without saying a word.

The two then entered the guest room and waited there while tea was served to them.

"It's going to be a long wait. After you finished your rest, you can look around the dojo. I'm sure they can recognize Young Boss Avron." the stern man with huge build said before closing the door.

Sam looked around as if a child in a zoo. There was just silence there since he wouldn't dare to open up a conversation with the Wicked and Avron had a fondness of silence.

However, catching Sam in surprise, Avron asked, "You want to look around?"

'Eh? What? He's asking me?' Sam couldn't deny he was a little happy, he answered, "Whatever you like, Sir Wicked."

"Call me Avron here. Calling me by that title is a bit pretentious here." Avron took a sip and continued with his half-closed eyes solemn, "The den of monsters."

Sam nodded, 'Oh yeah, he also didn't want the big bike. Is he scared here?' he thought of that but then. 'What am I, stupid? Even death doesn't scare the Wicked, then what else?'

"This is such a good tea, aren't you going to drink yours?"

"Ah-! yes." Sam immediately took a sip then burnt his tongue but held the pain in. After a gulped, it was as if the pain subsided and all he can feel was jolt spreading throughout his body.

'What's this? In terms of taste, it is just above average but its strong flavor was perfectly synced with that above-average taste making this impact on nerves... this is stimulating and relaxing at the same time!' he thought.

"Amazing, right?"

"... yes."

"That is just one of the wonders of the first dojos, the ancient Fellnigh had established."

'Ancient...?'

Avron's eyes then rolled to meet Sam's as he said, "This is a secret. I'm only telling you this because I'm bored." he then took a sip again and began speaking.

'Scary! We have to wait for half a day but not even ten minutes have passed but the WIcked is already bored?! If I don't entertain him, he might do things other than just talking and scaring the shit out of me!' Sam was troubled.

"Have you ever seen the master of this dojo, the Idol's father?"

'So he is the idol's father. That was still not clear to me earlier.' Sam replied, "No, not yet."

"Thought so, only a few had seen the Idol's father and didn't think about it much other than uncle being too young-looking for his age." Avron then put down the cup of tea and assumed a blade using his hands and continued as he placed them on Sam's neck, "You better be careful around him, his bare hands can be sharper than blade if he wanted to and I witnessed that a few times."

He then lightly hit Sam's neck with a chop, "I even saw him behead someone with bare hands."

'Shit!' Sam looked at the Wicked's eyes and only saw seriousness, 'Either he's lying or there is a high chance that I will die today!'

"This is a pretty hard task, telling Uncle Ernanfo the news. His daughter was the only family he has in his whole life now and he dotes on her so much so that he would kill anyone who harms the Idol. Now you know why I can't do anything against her." Avron said with a calm voice, it has a huge contrast to the weight of his words.

'The probability of my death just increased.' Sam thought and sips on the tea to calm himself but because of his anxiety, he finished the tea before he noticed it. He then paused to think.

'But if he's that strong, can he go against-'

"No, he wouldn't fight the Alpha or the Mountain," Avron answered Sam's thoughts.

'He read my mind?'

"No, your face just gave it away."

"Doesn't that mean you can defeat the Idol's father since you can somehow control the Alpha or the Mountain?" curiosity forced Sam to ask.

"...Hm?"

Avron's eyelids dropped even further when he heard that. He looked at Sam with a dumbfounded face of "Are you serious?"

"Eh?"

"You must've misunderstood me.' Avron sighed but continued, "You see, when two people go against each other we typically call it a fight because people on average are near the same level of strength. But let me tell you this, when a rabbit hit a lion and the lion hits back, do you call that a fight?"

Sam shook his head, slightly getting Avron's words, "The rabbit hitting the lion is just pointless."

"Well, that's the same if uncle decided to kill, or just say, beat the Alpha or the Mountain. The Alpha is a prodigy yet young, uncle wouldn't break a sweat but the Mountain can give him a warm-up though."

Sam kind of knew how it will end up but not breaking a sweat towards the Alpha?

'Didn't he already saw how strong the Alpha is? That beast who became well-known when he defeated every delinquent at the same time all by himself! That was when Travis got into a fight with the most terrifying student back then, delinquent's former leader, now too scared to go to school because he was traumatized by the beast he saw.'

"Seemed like you finished your tea. Let's go take a look around. You will believe me when you see uncle's direct disciples, not only are they masters of the martial way but also in weaponry combat." Avron said before standing up and exiting the guest room.

Sam followed him then heard.

"You remember the big man who opened the door for us? He's the same level as the Alpha if not stronger. Yet..." Avron looked at Sam and continued, "He's one of the weakest apprentices here. That's why he was respectful of me and why he was the one who opened the door for us."

Sam stopped for a while, processing what he just heard, 'You mean.... having the Alpha's strength can only make you a door guard here?!' he was filled with doubts since he too was one of the delinquents that the Alpha traumatized back then.

However, when he stepped further into the dojo, he heard steeled shouts and objects being hit while some had the sound of breaking. Avron opened the door to the core building, the center of the whole dojo, and made Sam swallow his doubts when he saw what was inside.

"Uncle Ernanfo doesn't have that many men under him. But each of them is a one-man army, making uncle the symbol of strength in the biggest underworld gang in the country." Avron whispered as Sam watched in amazement and in fear.

'Renir, you have my pity.' he thought.
