Dinner Date!

As soon as I got home, Momo called me. We've gotten close over the past couple of months, and I'm really grateful for that.

"Hey, what's up?" I answered.

"Hey, I was wondering if you'd like to come over for dinner tomorrow? I thought it'd be nice, you know? If you're free that is, I don't want to interrupt anything." Momo asked.

"Oh, yeah! Sure, I'd love too!" I responded.

"Wonderful! Meet me after class tomorrow and we'll walk to my house." She told me.

"Alright, sounds like a plan!" We both said goodbye to each other and hung up.

Right after I hung up, I went downstairs, and I went up to my Mother who was talking to Annie.

"Hey Mom," I announced, "I won't be home tomorrow."

My Mother and Annie looked at me.

"Hm? Why not?" My Mother asked.

"Well, I'm going to Momo's house for dinner tomorrow night and-" Before I could say anything else, they both gasped.

"YOU'RE GOING ON A DATE!?!?" They both exclaimed.

Liz appeared from behind the kitchen table.

"Does that mean Aly has a girlfriend?" Liz wondered.

"W-WHAT?! N-No! No! That's-" I stuttered while waving my arms around.

This was super embarrassing!

"Oh, come on, we already know what's going on! You can tell us." My Mother grinned while nudging me with her elbow.

Oh boy, I didn't think it'd be this embarrassing...

"No! I-It's not like that! She just thought it would be nice if she did!" I argued.

My Mother, Annie, and even Liz gave me a look.

"Aly! If a girl wants you to go over to her house, then... Then that means your like Mommy and Daddy! Crush! Crush!" Liz yelled.

"She's got a point, you know, I think that girl has a crush on you." Annie smirked.

A crush? I think I'm starting to get the picture now.

"Okay, fine. Maybe she does have one on me, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THIS COUNTS AS A DATE!" I yelled.

Annie looked at me, "You really have lost more than just your memory, huh?"

[Later That Night...]

I couldn't sleep at all. Not only was this "date" with Momo on my mind, that Sudden Death guy was still embedded in my brain. I should've asked him a lot more questions. There're still a million things running through my mind that I could've asked him. I should at least try to get some sleep.

[The Next Day...]

At school the next day, Mr. Aizawa told us about these internships with different Hero Agencies. Since tons of Heroes were there at the Sports Festival, we got spotted by their agencies. I got quite a bit of agencies to look through. I got a total of 5,351 of them interested in me because of the Festival!

"Woah, dude, that's a lot of stuff! I'm a little jealous..." Kaminari frowned.

"Yeah, I know. This is honestly cool! I'm probably going to intern with Annie's agency though." I told him.

As I looked through my gigantic stacks of agencies, I seen one that said, "Rabbit Hero: Mirko." I tapped Deku on the shoulder.

"Hey, who's this?" I asked him as I showed him that form.

Deku's eyes widened, "T-That's one of the top Pro Heroes in Japan! Leonidus-san, if I were you, I'd intern with her!"

Oh man, this was super cool! I actually managed to get the interest of a top Pro? Sweet! But I think I'll still intern with Annie, just to kind of get used to hero work. I looked through at least a little over a hundred of those papers, it blew my mind how many Pro Heroes were interested in me! At least they were stacked and not strewn about all over the place, that'd be a pain to pick up.

"W-Wow... That's a lot, you sure you didn't impress the entire stadium?" Jiro joked.

"It honestly feels like it!" I laughed.

I looked over at Momo and saw her looking through her papers. She had about 100 or so Pro Heroes that were interested in her.

"So, who are you thinking of interning with?" I questioned.

"Who? Me? Well, I'm most definitely interning with Uwabami-san. I believe she could teach me quite a bit!" Momo told me.

Uwabami? That sounds like an interesting hero name, that's for sure. Then again, I guess I really can't say much since I have my own last name on the front of my hero costume.

[A Few Hours Later...]

The school day came to an end and I saw Momo waiting for me outside of the classroom.

"Are you ready to go?" She smiled.

"Uh huh! I'm ready!" I replied.

We walked outside of school and started heading towards her house.

"So, where will you be interning at?" She asked.

I put my hands in my pocket, "I guess I'm not really sure yet. I've got quite a few agencies to look through. I was thinking about interning with my sister, but now, I'm not so sure. I actually got the attention of Mirko!"

"Oh really? That must be wonderful!" Momo exclaimed.

As we were nearing her house, I noticed how huge some of these houses were! This definitely wasn't like the street I live on, that's for sure!

"What's your type, Alyx?" Momo asked which caught me off guard.

"What? Huh?" I responded

"I said, 'What's your type?' You could tell me that, I'd hope!" She giggled

Now was my chance!

"My type...?" I answered.

It took me a moment to think about what to say. If what Kaminari told me was right...

"Oooh, okay! I get what you mean now," I smiled, "I guess I'd say dark colored hair, hazel eyes and probably just someone with a Creation Quirk. That's just my opinion though."

Momo started blushing and she tensed up a bit.

"R-R-Really? Gee, that's a little s-specific!" Momo stuttered.

I laughed and shook my head, "Well, you asked me, I didn't exactly want to lie to you!"

"Oh, h-hey, look! We're here!" She quickly exclaimed.

We got to Momo's house. It was gigantic! It was almost as big as U.A.! Momo opened the door and her parents were standing in the entry way.

"Why hello, Alyx! It's a pleasure to see you again!" Her Mother greeted.

"Hey, Mr. And Mrs. Yaoyorozu! Thank you for having me over for dinner!" I beamed.

A butler took my school jacket and gave me slippers. I didn't know Momo was wealthy, this is totally an experience I didn't think I'd be in! We sat down at the table, Momo sat in front of me, and her parents sat to the sides. Her dining room felt more like a dining hall than a regular dining room!

"So, how are you doing at U.A., Alyx?" Her Father wondered.

I wiped my face with a napkin before I spoke.

"Oh, U.A.? It's going good so far, despite the villain incidents. We're heading to a training camp to improve our Quirks soon. I'm honestly really excited about it!" I responded.

"So, we've heard! It sounds like a wonderful place to do that! Especially with it being secluded, so you all shouldn't have to worry about any of those villains coming in to terrorize you all!" Her Father bubbled.

"Yeah, hopefully!" I exclaimed.

"Speaking of that, we saw the Sports Festival on television. I have to say, Alyx, you have quite the Quirk! Momo, weren't you talking about it yesterday evening?" Her Mother wondered.

"My Quirk? Oh! Yeah, it's called 'Overdrive'. It's honestly really cool, although I'm relearning how to use it, I'm having a lot of fun doing it." I responded.

"Indeed, I find it rather unique. I don't think I've seen anything like it, it kind of reminds me of All Might's Quirk." Momo added.

[3 Hours Later...]

After dinner, Momo and her parents walked me out. I learned a whole lot about her and her family. They even showed me the various things that Momo created when she was little.

"Hey, thanks again for inviting me over for dinner! I really appreciate it!" I told them.

I walked outside of Momo's house, and I heard Momo call my name.

"Alyx! You forgot your jacket!" She yelled to me.

"I knew I forgot something!" I replied.

She walked over to me and gave me my school jacket.

"Thank you! I guess you probably would've brought this to me tomorrow, at least you have a better memory than I do!" I smiled.

We looked at each other for a second, which suddenly felt like hours. I got lost in her eyes, there was a warm feeling in my chest, I could tell we were getting closer to each other.

She snapped out of it, "O-Oh! I'm so sorry! I spaced out there for a bit."

I felt my cheeks heat up and I saw Momo start blushing.

"I-It's alright! I guess I did too!" I responded with a hint of a nervous laugh.

"See you on Monday?" Momo asked.

"Yep, see you Monday!" I nodded.

Momo walked back into her house, did we just almost...? Annie pulled up to the house since her patrol over the city was over. I got into the passenger seat and looked out the window.

"So, how did it go?" She asked.

"Oh, it went really great," I smiled, "Her parents were really nice."

Annie looked at me for a moment, then back at the road.

"That's good." She responded.

I thought about what Kaminari told me, "Dude! She totally likes you! Don't you see how she acts around you sometimes?" I guess they were right, maybe she does have a crush on me.

[30 Minutes Later...]

We finally got back home. I went up to my room and called Kaminari. I told him about what just happened.

"Dude! For real?" Kaminari shouted.

"Yeah! We both just stared at each other for a bit and we almost kissed!" I told him.

"So, what are you gonna do?" Kaminari asked.

He had a point, what exactly was I going to do? I sat there and thought for a moment.

"I'm not sure, I think I'll still wait it out. I wanna make sure that I don't screw anything up." I told him.
