The receptionist reaches the top floor of the Magic Tower where the Tower Head's office is located. The door of the office immediately opens as it has detected a presence. What the receptionist has seen is the Tower Head reading a few papers, mostly administrative tasks.
It is a protocol in all Magic Towers to report to the Tower Head the appearance of people with Indigo talent as potential Sages are hard to come by. Many people with this talent have either died early or have caught the attention of evil people. There is a need to protect people with this kind of talent.
The receptionist reports to the Tower Head the appearance of such talent. It has been long since this specific Magic Tower has had an applicant who has the potential to become a Sage. As such the Tower head grumpily replies. "What are you standing there for then? Lead the way."
The woman is really scared of the Tower Head as he has a really overbearing atmosphere. He is, after all, a third stage Saint Mage. Hence, he is someone who respectable in the magic community. This Magic Tower is lucky to have him as other towers only have peak Grandmaster Mages as their heads.
The receptionist leads the Tower Head to the testing area where the talent testers are located. They see Arthur who has sat down to the waiting area. He waves his hand when he saw the receptionist.
All of the people are shocked to see the Tower Head make an appearance. Someone with Indigo talent is worth seeing and protecting. This is what the people think.
When Arthur looks at the person in front of the receptionist, he stands up and greets him as he has sensed that he is someone in the same level as his father. "Lord Saint!"
The Tower Head looks at Arthur with satisfaction. It seems like this young man isn't only talented but also knows how to perceive other people's mana. It can also be a coincidence and Arthur already hears about the head being a Saint Mage. Nevertheless, he is still someone with Indigo talent.
"Hello, young man. I am the Tower Head, Cornelius. I heard your name is Arthur, correct?" The Tower Head offers his hand to shake Arthur's hand.
Arthur receives Cornelius' hand. "Yes, Lord Cornelius. I do come with the name Arthur."
Arthur acts and speaks with respect the same that he has once offered to his father. Although he hates that the world is focus on the talented on swordsmanship and magic, he still acknowledges the efforts these people put in improving themselves. That includes his uncle, his father, butler Hans, even the Sages, and this Tower Head.
Cornelius already likes the attitude of this Arthur Pendragon. The respect, he has been offered, seems to not be coming from sucking up to those that are stronger than him.
"Can I ask about your current rank?" Cornelius smiles as he politely asks Arthur.
"I am in the first stage of Full-Fledged Magician." Arthur answers honestly about this as he doesn't have to hide his strength with this alias and appearance.
Cornelius' mouth opens wide in shock. "And you are only 21 years old, right?"
"Yes, you are right, Lord Cornelius." Arthur is a bit uncomfortable with the questioning but he still answers respectfully.
"I will now be the one to guide you for your other two examinations." Cornelius takes his job seriously. It is stated that if someone with Indigo talent appears, the Tower Head must observe the person closely.
Cornelius leads Arthur to the next examination place and there are seat mats and magic screen. This magic screen will show what happen inside your mana space and mana core.
"For the next exam, you only need to sit on that mat and then close your eyes. Look inside your mana core." Cornelius instructs Arthur of what needs to be done. "You see that foreign mana moving around your mana core? For this test, you only have to follow it. Are you ready?"
The foreign mana is stopped by Cornelius as he waits for Arthur's response. Arthur nods in response as he thinks that this is easy. He has been controlling his mana for a month with the newfound technique he has.
Cornelius starts the machine and all people in the area can see how Arthur's mana follows the foreign mana inside the mana core. This has shocked everyone because not all newbies can control mana this far. In the magic screen, there is a number being shown that continues to update from 1% it has become 3% and it rises continuously.
This is what can be expected for someone with Sage Potential. However, once the foreign mana speeds up, he will surely be unable to follow it. This is what Cornelius thought.
The foreign mana begins speeding up but Arthur still continues to follow the flow with his mana. Cornelius knows that this test is the most important to a magician. This tells them how capable magicians are in controlling their mana's speed and location.
The accuracy rate has reached 30% shocking most of the people inside the area. The highest record in the magic tower is only 56% and it belongs to the young lady of the Gales Family. The speed continues to increase but the accuracy is still keeping up. It means that Arthur can still follow the mana with high precision.
'A genius!' The people can only tell themselves as they all look at the magic screen of Arthur. Even the other examinees are disregarded by the people inside as they watch the birth of a genius.
What they don't know is what Arthur is witnessing inside the mana core. Although it looks fast in others perspective, Arthur is only following it in boredom as he waits for Cornelius to declare the test finish. Surely he has passed this as he accurately followed the foreign mana, right?
The test continues to go on and the people cheer when they see the rate reaches 57%.
A record breaker! The world record for the highest rate is 86% from the Empire of Saxonia and the top 1 Sage, Lord Bruin.
Arthur's score continues to still increase passing the 70% mark. Will he be able to beat the world record for mana accuracy and control? This is what the other people wants to know.
