Magic Tower

Arthur can be seen reading a book about magic through Grima. In just the span of a few days, he has reached the first stage of the Full-Fledged Magician rank. Thus, he is thinking of registering in the Magic Tower.

This leads him to the decision of passing most of his administrative responsibilities to Butler Hans while he is away. The Magic Tower is really far away as it will take a week to travel using a carriage. So it is important to give his responsibilities to someone he completely trusts. He has also given the necessary books and training manual for the establishment of Camelot's Military.

However, Arthur falls into a deep thought when he has realized that if he registers in the Magic Tower with his talent, there is a chance that he will alert the person or the people that have murdered his father.

Thus, Arthur asks the System. "Is there a way for me to change my appearance?"

The System replies. "There is a mask in the shop that can alter your appearance including your height and weight. It costs one mission point. Your current balance is seven mission points."

Arthur is shocked that he has more mission points now. It seems like main missions give higher points. He has also remembered getting the weird carriage that the system calls as a luxury car. He has seen the car and has tried to use it with the expert driver skill. It is great in emergency drive but this car is too eye-catching.

Arthur buys the mask from the System Shop and it appears in thin air. He immediately wears the mask when suddenly, his appearance changed to someone who looks like in his early twenties. He is much taller than his real appearance.

"Will this be easily detected by the Magic Tower?" Arthur wants to make sure as he will be trying to hide his real identity. Currently, only Butler Hans knows that he can do magic. He has to make sure that he never uses magic while in his original appearance as Arthur Windshire.

"No. You can treat this as a completely new avatar that no one will ever notice. Not even the Sages." The System replies.

This is a great disguise for his plan since the suspect for his father's death is more or less a Sage Mage. It will be very difficult to move as Arthur Windshire but what will his new identity be? How about Arthur Pendragon?

Arthur is proud of the name he has created. This will be his alias when he goes to the Magic Tower. He removes the mask and he returns to his original appearance.

Before leaving, Arthur talks with Butler Hans to go meet with the blacksmith to create more handguns. Aside from the Military, he wants to create trusted local guards that will look at the events in the city as well as prevent the crimes.

When Arthur shows Butler Hans how the handgun works, he is completely amazed and he has thought that this is a magic artifact. However, Arthur tells him that this is not a magic artifact but a normal and complicated weapon.

After giving all the instructions, Arthur calls Billy to his office. He gives all the books he has for magic that the System helps to replicate but the technique for improving one's talent is not included. This has to remain a secret for now as telling it to a lot of people may unintentionally leak it through eavesdropping.

Arthur has also told Kuri to tell everything to Hans as he will be leaving the city for about a month or two, depending on the situation. Kuri only bows and nods to the instructions given to her.

Arthur heaves a sigh of relief as he feels like everything has now been settled. Camelot City can stand on its own with Butler Hans managing it. Arthur knows this well as he only has theoretical knowledge of how to run a city or even a kingdom but Butler Hans has a lot of real experience in dealing with this. So he is confident that everything will be okay once he returns.

Before leaving the castle, Arthur has already worn the mask and has changed his appearance to Arthur Pendragon. He rides the normal-looking carriage. This will be his first time on an adventure to another kingdom. The Magic Tower is located in the city of Versailles in the Asure Kingdom.

Days have passed as the driver and Arthur travelled toward Versailles City.

They have camped out during the night and they continue their journey when the sun rises. It is a good thing that the road they are traversing is not filled with beasts. This is a relatively safe road.

When the sixth day has arrived, they are already near their destination. However, they have met a group of thieves. The driver is really scared as he has never thought to meet thieves along this road.

The thieves' killing intent are oozing as per the words of the System to Arthur. This means that they will steal whatever they have in this carriage after they are killed. They are not thieves. They are murderers.

After this thought, Arthur's eyes have suddenly changed and a really strong mana wave can be felt as it sends chilling effect to the thieves. They have messed with a magician!

They begin to ask for mercy when they see Arthur approaching them with his hands stretched. Arthur doesn't seem to hear them as he casts Fire Blades in the air. This is a Full-Fledged Magic Spell.

The thieves continue to kneel and beg with their eyes close, waiting for a miracle, but this has not happened as the Fire Blades rush to their necks. Their heads are completely removed and the flames have devoured their heads and bodies.

The driver looks at Arthur with fear. All he knows is that this man is a guest of the Camelot City's Lord. He has never thought that their young lord is acquainted to a high ranking magician.

"Thank you, Lord Magician." The driver kneels in front of Arthur and this action has made Arthur regain his senses.

Looking at the ashes and bones, Arthur is unaware of what has occurred.
