Cement and Bricks Factory

Walking around the unused land, Arthur surveys the place if there are residents or citizens that live nearby. This is where he plans on placing the factory for cement and bricks. "System, how do I buy the factory?"

The system replies. "I will show you a dialog box to see the shop. Click on the word 'Factories' and then you can see from there the Cement and Bricks Factory.

After the system spoke, a dialog box appears and there are different categories such as machineries, weapons, housing, vehicles, and even skills can be bought. However, looking around, he sees that the cheapest are factories. This is understandable as the other categories are byproducts of what the factories can produce.

Arthur cannot help but think on how he will use the mission points he will make effectively. The other items on the shop can only be bought when there is an emergency but it is better to create these products with the knowledge that he will learn through the library and Grima.

After browsing around and being amused by the technology that made this dialog box possible, Arthur proceeds to the Factories category and then clicks on the Cement and Bricks Factory.

Suddenly, the color of Arthur's environment changes to color blue and he can see white lines across the surrounding. It seems to form boxes and squares.

What shocks Arthur the most is a large structure in front of him. He remembers reading through Grima a book called The Industrial Revolution. He has found out through that book that a lot of advances are made during that era.

"The future is really amazing." Looking at the intricacy of the factory, Arthur's mouth remains agape.

The system takes him out of his stupor. "You can now place the factory anywhere you want and to whatever orientation you want it to be."

"Just like that? How do I move it around?" Arthur asks while he shakes his hand around trying to move the structure.

"You can instruct it through your voice. Try telling it to move forward by a meter."

Arthur follows what the system has told him and he mumbles to the factory to move forward by a meter. Suddenly, the factory forwards to exactly a meter.

After getting the hang of it by rotating the building and moving it around, Arthur starts to seriously think of where to place the factory. He has considered a lot of factor such as what is the most efficient way for people to go inside. Suddenly, he realizes that he may need to hire factory workers again.

"You don't have to worry. This factory is automated and only needs to be feed the necessary materials in the right chambers. All you need are miners but there are already some free resources that come along with the factory." The system assures Arthur.

Arthur smiles as the system has been really of big help to his development of the city. A year has passed but nothing has changed in the city because of the lack of funds and manpower. Even if he has a lot of great ideas, he cannot make it come into fruition without fulfilling these requirements.

As such, Arthur begins to speculate what the system intends to do with him. After all, nothing can be considered free.

The system knows what Arthur is thinking but it avoids responding to what he is thinking. The system understand full well that it is really suspicious but Arthur doesn't seem to be talking negatively about it. He is just trying to know how he can fulfill or pay for such rewards being given to him.

Arthur finishes up placing the factory on what he believes is the right spot for it. A huge structure appears out of thin air and he cannot believe that this is actually real. It has took him a few minutes before he can calm down.

Afterwards, he speaks in a soft voice. "I know you know I am speculating as to what I need to do for you, system. So tell me when the time comes."

Arthur understands full well that the system is trying not to force him to do things or continue fulfilling tasks. In fact, the mission has no time limit. The system, despite knowing Arthur's thoughts, has not clarified what he is thinking. He sees this as the system giving him a safe place to still think and speculate without its interference.

"I will and if this reassures you, we both benefit from doing this. As I said before, it has been long since we had a visitor in the Great Library and you are the second one."

Arthur begins to be curious as to who the first visitor is but he has a mission and tasks on hand. Also, after a few days of interacting with the system, it seems like it is not very open to talk about the first visitor or reader of the Great Library.

"You will also get to find out about him at the right time." The system says as Arthur enters the factory.

The inside is already breathtaking and when Arthur entered, he sees the machineries inside the factory in full action. Although it should be giving off bad smell from what he read, the system is really great as the factory seems to be enhanced to be safe for any normal citizens around.

Arthur's lips curl up and his eyes are now watery. He remembers how he has been casted away by the kingdom for being talentless and he even has to give up the throne that his father has entrusted him on his deathbed.

When his mother died, his father has always took great care of him. To Arthur, he is not only a great king but a great father that has taught him well on how important knowledge and wisdom are. His father is the one who inspired him to love books and pursue knowledge.

In fact, when Arthur was eleven years old, his father brings him inside the training facility of the elite squad that protects King Harry. The elite knights know how knowledgeable Arthur is in war and politics. They respect Arthur deeply as the Crown Prince although they were unaware that time if he has talent or not in magic and swordsmanship.

Arthur has grown up in an environment where to wield power one has to have a talent. Thus, this is the reason that he is teary-eyed to see this factory in action. There is a possibility for him to hone an ability without the need to rely on swordsmanship or magic. This factory is a proof of this.

His eyes are now full of vigor and excitement. He tightens his fist as he knows that there is a path that is right for him.

"I will turn this city into a kingdom more powerful and prosperous than my father's kingdom."
