What Am I Even Doing Here?!

*Roar* as Kurumi walked closer to the source, the louder the roar got. Surrounding her currently is a burning village as far as the eye can see. There were children and adults alike running away from the source of this chaos. Seeing such a sight she couldn't help but go closer towards the source, keen on what was causing so much destruction.

Once the roaring had stopped, she'd seen what was she was dealing with.

In front of her stood a giant reptilian creature with scales that looked to be as hard as steel and razer sharp teeth that made the beast seem menacing.

However, Kurumi stood there examining the beast as she stood there it let out a ferocious roar.

"Ara Ara it seems that you lack basic manners, allow me to instill them into you!".

Upon her words the phoenix wyvern unleashed a fireball from its mouth.

Using her quick thinking she evaded the projectile with ease.

" Is that all you got? I expected something more from a creature such as yourself. Allow me

to show you a fun time!"

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* three shots were fired in rapid succession.

However, when the bullets came into contact with the scales of the beast they were deflected off by them.

Enraged by the fact that someone had attempted to wound it.

The creature dived headfirst to where Kurumi was standing hoping to mow her down.

Seeing that the creature was coming towards her. Kurumi decided to take on the by pointing her gun to her head.

The first bullet Aleph. Soon after shooting herself. Kurumi instantly vanished from the creature's sight.

Seeing this the creature halted its

assault. Scanning around hoping to locate its prey who vanished.

"You sure are a interesting one aren't you." said Kurumi who had appeared behind the creature.

"Now it would seem that ordinary bullets have no effect against you."

"In that case allow me to reward you with something special."

"Zaphkiel!"

"Here goes the second bullet Bet".

Taking aim at the creature Kurumi fired another shot although it was deflected like the rest, it had caused the creature's movements to grind to a halt.

"Now let's see if you are truly as invulnerable as you look."

Kurumi started analyzing the creature's body, after looking at it for a while she realised that there were no scales covering its head and that its head was its weak spot."

"Now lets put an end to this shall we."

*Bang* shots were fired at the creature's head afterwards time had resumed for it.

However, instead of letting out a roar it fell to the ground dead with lifeless eyes.

Thinking that her opponent was defeated Kurumi turned around triumphant.

However, unknown to Kurumi the true fight was just beginning.

With a bellowing roar the creature that was once dead had picked itself up again.

Despite having been shot directly to the head, the creature's body no longer had any wounds.

It's as if the creature had brought itself back to life

"Oh my now this is quite an interesting development."

'Now then it would seem you are ready for another round."

*Roar* the creature summoned a circle surrounding its body and afterwards its entire body was covered in flames.

"Just because your entire body is covered in flames doesn't mean that I can't get over it."

Firing shots again at its head Kurumi had hoped for the same result.

But alas her bullets were melted away by the flames.

"Now this is going to be quite troublesome."

Realising the disparity of her situation Kurumi could only sit there and rack her brain for a few moments thinking how to defeat this fierce adversary.

Although she'll like to have the leisure of time, the phoenix wyvern gave a her a little to a few seconds to think.

It began opening its mouth wide and a circle appeared in front of its mouth.

Flames surged from all over its body onto the circle and the ball of flames began expanding.

Even though she did not know what the creature was planning on doing she knew that the attack it was preparing would cause devastating damage to the environment around her and herself included if she were not to back away."

Thinking of using one of her bullets to slow the time of the creature again, she stopped midway as although stopping the time of the creature would stop its movements the fire surrounding its body would still be burning hot.

That's when she turned to her surroundings and saw a lake that was nearby with plenty of fresh water.

Seeing this Kurumi grinned with a sinister smile on her face.

Knowing what to do next she summoned Zafkiel again.

After a few seconds the creature's attack was ready and it was going to unleash it. But what the creature did not account for, was that Kurumi had a plan in motion.

Turning to face where Kurumi was the phoenix wyvern realised that she was gone scanning its surroundings it spotted her but she was not alone. There were now multiple copies of her and they opened fire upon the creature hoping to draw its attention.

"Hello there aren't you going to shoot that big scary attack us, well come over here if you wanna."

The Kurumi copies made a break for it and ran straight.

The creature seeing this decided that it was going to aim its attack at them and burn them all to a crisp.

Unleashing the ball of fire that had formed on its mouth a split second after, the area and Kurumi copies were obliterated.

The creature seeing that the Kurumi copies were no more let out a triumphant roar.

It would seem that it had emerged victorious but unknown to the creature the fun was just beginning.

"Hello there." from below the creature was none other than another Kurumi just like before there were also multiple copies of her.

Enraged that its preys still draw breath the creature fired a fireball from its mouth but since it was no like the attack it had charged they all dodged it with relative ease.

"Oh my you're so hasty, come on then the real fun is just beginning."

Taunted one of the Kurumi's.

They all then proceeded to continue to sprint straight and the phoenix wyvern followed suite, unleashing a barrage of fireballs at all of them. But unlike the attack which took a long time to prepare these were relative small in size.

This continued on for a while until the Kurumi's all abruptly stopped.

Seizing this opportunity the creature decided that it was going to finish them off with a dive attack using its flaming body to incinerate them.

Diving headfirst into them the creature was keen on ending their lives this time.

However, at the same time the Kurumi's jumped into the water.

Seeing that the creature changed its trajectory towards the body of water to pursue them

Almost instantly when the creature had come into contact with the water the flames around its body has subsided!

That was when from behind the phoenix wyvern came a voice from above

"Checkmate!"

*Flashblack*

Summoning Zafkiel once again she invoked its abilities by shooting herself

"The eighth bullet Het."

Entities started rising from her shadow, the shadows that had risen looked identical to Kurumi.

To be frank they were her, they were born due to the ability of the eighth bullet Het.

Kurumi then addressed her clones.

"Hello other me's you know what the plan is right."

"Yes other me you want us to draw that lizard's attention towards us and direct it towards the lake so that when it comes into contact with the water the flames around it would subside and then you will deal the finishing blow am I right."

"Precisely now get to it."

Having slain the creature Kurumi felt a bubbling sensation inside her body, she then raised her head and saw that big bubbles of light were rising from the water and entering her body from the creature's corpse.

Slowly but surely she felt like she was getting stronger it was as if the creature's life essence had gone into her body.

"User Kurumi Tokisaki has successfully levelled up to lvl 20."

said a mysterious monotone voice that felt like it was inside her head.

"Levelled up? Level 20? What could that mean."

Kurumi was puzzled by what the voice had said. However, she was unable to get a moment of reprive as in the opposite direction loud voices could be heard.

Looking to turn towards the source of the voices , Kurumi saw a bunch of residences from the village.

It would've appeared that thanks to her efforts she was able to save a small part of the village and its houses.

When they finally reached her, a tall man with a short beard properly combed with neat hair stood up from the crowd and approached Kurumi hesistantly.

"My what is causing you to shake so much big boy?"

Looking to be in his early 40's the man opened his mouth to speak

"First of all my name is Roberet and

don't get me wrong we are indeed thankful towards you for saving

us and what little we have left of our village but the fact that you were strong enough to take down a phoenix wyvern is a shuddering thought."

"Phoenix wyvern?"

"Don't tell me you've not heard about phoenix wyverns young lady if so you must not be from around these parts."

"I indeed am not from here." replied Kurumi

"Well if you'll allow me to enlighten you young lady, a phoneix wyvern is a terrifying creature that has the ability to cover itself in flames and unleash fireballs from its mouth. Worst of all its terrifying ability to resurrect once in its life when it dies."

Realising this Kurumi responded in kind.

"I see so that's why you said it was such a shuddering thought that I managed to defeat it."

"I would have to agree as well that lizard surely was special even I was not sure

if I was going to be able to defeat it for a moment there."

"Luckily for us fortune seemed to smile on you today and do please forgive my rudeness but what is your name young lady, we'd like to address our saviour by her proper name."

"Its Tokisaki."

"I see that indeed is a wonderful name for someone as benevolent such as yourself."

Hearing those words Kurumi let out a slight giggle.

"Tokisaki-san?"

"Oh do forgive me for that, I thought I heard something funny."

"Well in that case Tokisaki-san on behalf of me and the villagers, we would like to reward you with a small pouch of gold coins."

"We'd like to give you more but if we were to do so, we would not be able to survive this month when the represantives of the kingdom come to collect the monthly tax."

"That's fine by me, although I require money, I'd also like information about this world."

"You'd see up until recently I've been living in an isolated part of the world with my parents until they recently passed on. I decided to move on and go explore the outside world. As such I have no current knowledge about the outside world and what it contains."

"Its no wonder you don't have the foggiest idea what a phoenix wyvern is and also I'm sorry for your lost."

"Its fine I've gotten over it already."

"Allow me to enlighten you then come to my house with have much to talk about."

Following Roberet into his house, he quickly gave Kurumi a place to sit down and offered her a cup of tea which Kurumi accepeted with much thanks.

He poured one for himself and sat at the table, beginning to go on about how this world relied on a form of currency. There are four different types of currency in this world being split into copper, silver, gold and platinum coins.

The exchange of rate the different coins are as follows :

[100 copper coins= 1 silver coin]

[100 silver coins= 1 gold coin]

[100 gold coins= 1 platinum coin]

He told her how if one had a few gold coins they could live a life semi-close to that of luxury. Being able to acquire all the necessities they ever need and more. Following that he told her that the village she was currently in was known as Troysa village. They were an ordinary village with enough money to scrape by when the represantives from the kingdom came to collect the monthly tax. With what little they had left they would use it to buy daily necessities so that they are able to sustain themselves. Those represantives hail from the capital of the region of "Thglugard", going on to say how there is a royal family which governs the entire region. The royal family's job is to maintain order in the country and establish good relationships with the other countries.

"Now that is useful information and all Roberet-san but what kind of region is "Thglugard"."

"Thglugard huh? We're located at the far-east at the world. If you must know we are quite famous for the level of combat experience our warriors have."

"People come from all over the world to here just so that they can get a chance at fighting one of our esteemed warriors and the one that stands atop of them all. The sword saint himself, he is known for being that strongest warrior in the entire region. One time he was able to single-handedly wipe out an entire flock of wyverns that act saved many people that day including those from this village. However, he is not the only one who has such tales of heroism and strength, there are six other people who are like him. If the world were to fall into disorder or face a threat then its their job to prevent it. They're are known as the Seven Legends for their legendary might ."

"My my that does certainly sound quite impressive, I'd like to meet him one day if possible."

"You also mentioned that there were six others, so there are more people like him?"

"Yes they hail from the other regions, you see Thgulugard is not the only region in this world, there are six others Nyralglugard, Lthlugard, Shubaalgard , Yogglugard, Tsathoggard and finally Azmagard.

Letting the information sink in, a thought entered her mind that if those six other people are as strong as this sword saint then she'd would like to travel across all seven of the different regions to get a chance to meet those legendary people and possibly have an opportunity to fight them. "Do they by chance have any fancy names like the sword saint" said Kurumi who was curious.

"Yes they do they are addressed as the Elven Seer, Vampiric Lord, Beast Monarch, Sovereign Ruler, Vile Berserker and the Demon King."

" I see is there anything else I should know about this world?"

"No there isn't I've practically told you everything you needed to know, now if you'll excuse me."

Roberet stood up her from his chair and went to towards a room located at the back of living room. Taking a few minutes he stepped out of the room handing Kurumi a small map of the country as well as the small pouch of gold, he and other the villagers had promised her from the safe in his home which stored the collective funds of the village.

"Here you go Tokisaki-san everything we villagers promised you."

"Thank you Roberet-san, it was pleasure to get to know you even though our time was short".

" I'd like to stay but I have business to attend to."

"Where will you be going Tokisaki-san?"

"Why the capital of this region, of course!"

"I see then be safe on your way there."

" I will thank you very much".

Setting off for the capital Kurumi immediately when to the road which lead to the capital from the village.

"Ara~ I wonder what the people of this world are like, will they be the rotten-shit heads I am used to in my world or will they be like that man".
