Ohh, I didn’t know a sequel was out. Thanks, will read it.
Translation: "There is no reward in perfection, only the surrender of becoming.”
Hey, Author, if Dorian is the Leo (or Azriel) of this world. Then, is Mio, the Lea of this world? If so, then that dance he did with her nearing her death is given a new meaning. You know, like he wasn't able to dance with Lea as Leo.
Read the P.S part.
Well, I am, aren’t I😂? As for the story part, will think after my finals are over.
My pleasure, Buddy. Have a great read.
Remember, I said this is MY PERSONAL OPINION from as much as an unbiased perspective I can write from. This is me just addressing the points people hate, and putting forth reasons, from what I have grasped of them in my read. Since, I liked the way the novel was going and wanted to share it with others, ones who left for just those reasons. And correction, nearly a hundred people had liked this, so yes people do like one star reviews, you can check for yourself. As for that pin talk, I honestly don't care—it's just cherry on the top for being in a place better accessible by people. I wouldn't have cared if it was drowned in them, since I myself surf through for the drowned ones. I just jokingly asked for it, there was no motive behind it. Lastly, You are entitled to your own opinion, there is no fault in that. My review has helped people who needed it, and perhaps even you (if you found something you hated and decided not to give a read) and not everyone is bound to like it. And that's alright. Hope you find something you truly enjoy. Have a good day, bud.
Caught you corrupted handed, did I😂😂
The perfectionist in me demands I write this—: Typos correction of review (I hate that Wn doesn’t have an edit option🙂↕️) 1] In the Writing Quality section, I wrote that writing is my favorite hobby and to check my profile. A Typo. Reading is my favorite hobby not writing. A mistake on my part. 2] In the talk of Zafar, I accidentally wrote ‘his Malik’ (it was: realizing the true intentions of his Malik, and his reality.) Well, they do share a relation but it’s not Yaoi or something, I’m addressing this before someone asks. I previously did mention it, their relationship, but later on decided to edit it. Since, it’d be a big spoiler (I already gave tons. So, no more.) but I forgot to remove ‘his’. Also, ‘his reality’ is referring to—Zafar realizing his own reality and the reality of Malik. Is what I aimed to convey. Anyway, if you still find any typos just ignore them now.
This review is for people like me, the ones that read the low-rated reviews first. This is my personal opinion, but I will try and write from an unbiased perspective. Ahem, Ahem 1] World Development (5/5): A breath of fresh air. Mostly, you’ll read western centred fics in Wn and if there are others then—Cn or Japanese. But this one is more..arabic? (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic—is a close example for the world setting.) Rather intriguing to read about. Sometimes gives Aladin vibes. Sometimes. Like in the arc where Malik (mc) becomes the Guard of Layla and her father and companions. It gave to me at least. Fam Iblis (world name) is a rather intriguing concept too, especially the entire Hell reveal and arc that happened. Depravity concept isn’t that unique for those that have read the Ninth Samsara Villain (I forgot the exact name.) but it’s still a rather new concept in Wn. Overall, without giving much spoilers, I’ll only say the uniqueness is a breath of fresh air. (Non-Eastern ppl be warned, you’ll need to search up what many words mean, like Shamshir and all. Not by much but still you’ll need to sometimes.) 2] Power System (4/5): Unique. Complicated. I like how the Author didn’t went with the cliche stuff, but..the words are rather complicated for some. Especially, the sub-ranks, but once you get the hang of it—all’s good. Mana is Aether here. And the concept of Paths, Aespect, etc is a little complicated but great world building. I would’ve given 5/5 for the sheer uniqueness of the system, and the way names aren’t there just for sounding cool. But, 1 goes into how complicated the truly names are for most. Overall, unique, rather complicated till you get the hang of it. You might need to look into auxiliary chap a lot in beginning. Which can be annoying. 3] Writing Quality (4/5): Not the best I’ve read, writing’s my favorite hobby and a great pastime (check my profile if you want), but still enough to be one of the best. Grammar’s great, rarely if ever you’ll spot a mistake. Flow is smooth. Conversations are rather organic and feels lived in. Fight scenes know when to pump adrenaline and when to pump sorrow. Characters don’t act out of their ‘character’. You won’t have any complaints in this department. 4] Main Character (5/5): Tragic. Unyielding. Selfless. Too good for this world. That’s how I think Malik is. He was the most hated man alive, but when the populace came to know the ‘true’ him..well, they realized their mistakes and each Volume of his life (yes, the Holy Relic (thing used to chain him) shows his life in Volumes) turns more and more people his way. Now, what I dislike about him? His sheer selflessness. What I like about him? His sheer selflessness. Yup, that’s how he is. His Return By Death is, while not unique, but something rarely written about. Just because of the sheer difficulty and annoyance one feels while writing the same scene again and again, just with different endings. Excluding how many redos one does. So, kudos to Author for pulling this off beautifully (pretty sure he pulled enough hairs to go bald😂 but man did it work beautifully.) Overall, think of a man that just wanted a roof above his head, getting an entire sultanate but couldn’t give away either—no one could handle his burden. The path of blood and fire he walked. Ahh, that reminds me. There are two Maliks, yup you read that right, one is the one whose story you’ll read, the Sultan. The other is soul merged with his, also named Malik. Each Volume merges their soul more and more. A thing noted as how Malik’s (the new soul from modern world gets stronger and stronger after each Volume—regaining Malik (the Sultans) strength. While there are many ways to look at this, the way I look it: Malik (the Sultan) got another being to share his burden with. Both are becoming one. The new one won’t be an imposter, he’s practically living through all what the Sultan went through. And even merging with his soul—two souls handling what one barely did before. (Major Spoiler!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . I’m not counting Sinbad here. He might be a companion in previous loops, but remember—he can’t return anymore with Malik. He might be there, but he couldn’t truly feel everything that Malik went through. So, I won’t be counting the Owl..btw it would be quite funny if he delivers some letter once😂 Sinbad the Hogwarts Majestic Owl. Right Wing of Sultan😂) Ahem. Now onto other characters. More like—reactions. Since, this is a reaction fic. 5] Reactions (4.4/5): Sorrowful. Satisfaction inducing. Guilt inducing (to characters) and a great hype (Malik constantly does what’s perceived as impossible) Sorrowful: They see what he sacrificed for them. Walked into literal Hell for them. Died again and again. Satisfaction inducing: You see how those ones acting high and mighty (looking at you Noor) and others like Zafar (‘Hero’) and Huda react to Malik, one realizing just the gap between them. One realizing the true intentions of his Malik, and his reality. One realizing that the one who failed the other, wasn’t him but her. Some might hate Huda, but honestly I think she’s pitiful. Annoying sometimes. But pitiful. An interesting thing, this is the first time I saw the ‘Hero’ realize his mistake and switch sides. Zafar did get his character development done gooddd. Guilt inducing: Thing which most watch it for. To see how others react to learning the truth. The way a villain becomes a hero. And this is something this novel excels at. Huda’s guilt is real. Complicated and human. And there are many characters who realize that Malik wasn’t in wrong..just misunderstood. They saw the thousands of times he died just to change the things, but at the end being forced to save one thing and not everything. I kinda like this fact, one can’t always save everyone—this portrayal is great. Love it. And the public too feels immense guilt. They made him a Pariah. Called him names. Made him the most hated man alive, when in reality—he walked through, literally, Hell for them. Died millions of time. Gave his everything. By this point in novel, 400 chaps, the world adores Malik. They would do anything, anything to defend him—if he is in wrong? Then the other one deserved it. That’s how large their guilt is, they’ll do everything to justify his actions. Hell, some might start praying to him soon. Hype: You know the reaction fics that go around? Where the main characters impossible feats are revered by others? This is just that. And it does it greatly. Every time Malik does something impossible, you’ll like the reactions. The only complain I have regarding this is, earlier ones were rather..stiff in change with the projection (memories being displayed). There will be times when you feel like—Awww man, it destroyed the flow here. But only in beginning, post 200-230s chap you won’t feel it at all. It’s done seamlessly. Authors improving. ————————- The ‘problems’: 1] Slow-pace. At start. You get to see the Loops first-hand, great detail but rather time consuming. Malik saving Huda and Sinbad, a light example. Another could be the entire trip with Ali Baba and Layla. And the ‘audience’ reactions are mostly included, which further dampens the pace. But necessary to be there.. Why necessary? Because it shows him breaking. Rebuilding. Coping. Numbing. And also some of guilt inducing reactions are due to this—people seeing how he was misunderstood. Later on, this is improved, since we already know the effects it has on him. Something we do due to earlier chapters. So, in later chaps, the loops aren’t as much explored as initial ones. Great pacing. Nothing feels lost. So, they are necessary..grit through it, I guess? Skim through them if you want, but don’t let the earlier slow pace make you think the novels all slow. It’s picking up speed. Gradually. 2] Idk why there’s a harem tag by this point. I know many females are interested in him, but he only has one wife—Layla. And going by how author plans to end this when Malik gets unsealed (he just confirmed it to me. Minutes ago.) then I don’t think it will actually be a harem. For those saying that multiple girls liking him is considered harem, please, even No-harems have multiple females liking Mc where he choses just one. And Malik ‘chose’ Layla. Author needs to adress this. That’s all I can currently think of. Even in them, only harem one is a ‘true’ problem. ———— Overall: A great, unique, and emotional read. You will like this, if what I said above apeals to you. And if you’re here only for reactions? Well, you hit the jackpot. This was my personal review, I tried to write with an unbiased perspective—as much as I could. In the end, the choice is yours. And Golden, I deserve a pin alright—more than 9,000 words! P. S: I am giving one star because I myself never read five star reviews. There are many bots in webnovel or just pure—Goat. Masterpiece. And stuff, they don’t really dwell into what the novel offers or its problems. Something which low-rates one does. And one-star pinned reviews are attention attracting—why is it pinned if it’s one star? I am saying this because many people don’t get it. In my previous review to Sloths book, there were some which didn’t get it. So I just added it here. Have a great day. Byeeee.
