Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons

Hello~ It’s me again! So, this is my second review—the one that will finally answer the “Oh-so-big question.” Will this be a harem? Before, I said I wasn’t sure. But now, I have a definitive answer. This book will be NO-HAREM. I know many of you were looking forward to a harem and have grown fond of several characters introduced so far. I truly appreciate your support, and I’m glad that you find these characters as lovable as I do. That said, I’ve been carefully outlining the story for a while now, and I want this to be my greatest story yet. I want everything— The action The power system The world-building The politics The Dragons And the romance —to be absolutely perfect. After giving it a lot of thought, I’ve crafted what I believe is the perfect romance story—one that will make you fall in love with the journey just as much as I have. So, I’ve decided to stay true to my original plan and go with the Single FL Route. I only hope that you’ll give this story a chance and fall in love with it the way I have. This review is for people like me, the ones who read the low rated reviews first. What I am about to write is my personal opinion, though I will try to write from an unbiased perspective. Ahem, Ahem World Development (4/5)—> The setting is primarily of a Beast Taming world, mixing in 'Talents' and obviously magic. Now I know some might resent Beast Taming genre, like why should protagonist be reliant on some beasts for his strength and all. I did to, before I read this that is. While, Beasts do play a big part, I believe the 'Talent' of protagonist kinda makes up for it, especially after it..Ahh nah it would be a big spoiler, just know that his 'Talent' becomes more busted. So while protagonist would indeed to a large extent be dependent on his Beasts, he wouldn't be completely helpless without them, not to forget there is magic and his kind of system too— like those Gamer System type, gaining experience from training and killing and all. Then, for the bigger world—Empires, world structure and all— We are in kinda the starting phase now, so it isn't thoroughly explained yet, but you can trust the writer for it, he will pull through and from what little I gathered till now it seems promising enough. As for info dumps? Well he tries to avoid it but there are times when they are necessary. So grit through it. Power System (4/5)— World's power system is pretty much simplified, like you don't continuously need to go back to the auxiliary chap to refresh the power system (gods that's annoying and breaks the flow). Quite early for any solid rating but till now it seems simple and promising enough and I hope this will be continued. Now with considering the power system of his other novels, I gave this rating. Now for his own System? Well like I said before its kinda similar to the Gamer System, though minus the quest part (maybe in future?). Anyways, guy works for his strength and it isn't gifted to him on a silver platter, so good for those that enjoy weak-to-strong, but that doesn't mean he is completely weak either. He is overpowered for his level and improves quickly— in a nutshell it stands between both the genre, so it won't leave either side completely dissatisfied. Writing Quality (4/5)— It's quite good, like good good. I have read tons of book, it's my favorite hobby and a great pastime, check my profile if you want. So, while I wouldn't say the quality is the best I have read, but surely it is one of the best. The conversations are smooth, grammar is good, nothing feels 'forced' and then there is the golden point that author knows how to properly convey things— you wouldn't need to read twice or thrice to get a good picture, especially in the fighting scenes—Also, characters have their own personality and don't act out of it, pretty neat. Main Character (5/5)— Kael (Mc) is or rather was an uni student. An orphan (no need to worry about him wanting to go back), someone that is quite cunning and perspective. While it is the usual Hero thing, don't expect him to be the bastion of morality, though he isn't a villain either. Basically put, a man kinda forced to work for the world he was summoned to, well like he knows he won't receive the royal treatment or opportunity to grow if he doesn't. He is basically milking the kingdom, but would also protect the world since..he lives there now. He has a father side too, to his Beasts that is, which I will talk about a bit later. Overall, an intelligent man that isn't edgy and would help people, though he won't throw his life or his bonds for it. There are decisions he takes that leaves readers sometimes irritated, which I would talk about later, but keep in mind that this is his 'reality', he takes decisions logically while keeping the bigger picture in mind since there is no redo or chapters for him. I gave this rating because he is honestly acting the ideal way—not wanting to expose all his secrets for some fame or to please people he doesn't even know, not trusting that everyone wants his better, not completely trusting the kingdom either..Ahh he is also a cultured man, aware of his monstrous talent, one point for this alone! Ahem, now I would talk about these 'problems', the ones people drop the book for—it's a bit of spoiler, you have been warned. . . . . Firstly, Mc's first bond—Igni, was evolved into a dragon by him. Mc hid him, opting to not show little Igni to the kingdom and all his teachers. I saw many bashing author for this, I wouldn't lie even I was a bit irritated about it, hiding strength Mc's were always a bit irritating to read, but when I thought of the bigger picture, it made sense. Dragons are considered overpowered mythical beings here, they are said to be very protective of their kin, so now if Mc was to reveal he had one, it would raise questions and put him into needless danger — "How do you have a dragon, when the egg we gave was of a wyvern?"— this in turn would reveal his 'Talent' which he is also hiding. Mind you, this world's inhabitants are desperate due to the calamity, wouldn't have summoned him if they weren't, this could make him their 'weapon' taking away his freedom and chaining him down and making him a dragon-making machine. Not to mention the greed of people...and it's not like he completely hides his talent, it isn't 'I am known as one of the weakest but can easily kick your ass, though you don't know that' type, people all around him acknowledge his strength and monstrous talent, so it isn't much of a let down. Don't let this get to you, if those future visions Mc had, ones where he was called the 'Dragon Lord' were anything to go by, then he wouldn't hide them for long anyway.. also the recent chapters had proven that not everyone in kingdom is appreciative of his presence, basically some are after his life, so it really was a smart choice. Now another 'sub-problem' of his bond. Many were bashing Author for how quickly he got attached to it, that too to a such high level, basically the father side I spoke of earlier. From what I gather, he although didn't show it, was scared—being summoned to another world and now being forced to fight in a war that wasn't his— not everyone adapts overnight, he is doing a great job in adapting so far, anyway his Igni is his light. First being in this unknown world, that he doesn't have to pretend infront of or be wary of, not to mention his cuteness! Ahem, so in this stressful situation he latched on to his Igni to move forward. Basically Igni is his little light, only one he cares about in this new world and can be his true self infront of. ..Now the next one I am about to mention isn't exactly a problem as of yet, well Author just made his final decision regarding it literally two hours ago, so as a form of precaution, I will count it as a 'problem'.. too lazy to write for it again if required in future. Romance, the potential second 'problem'— The story has been decided to be a No-Harem one, which due to the beautiful ladies mentioned around protagonist would be a let down for many. But I don't care much honestly, I read both No-Harem and Harem, though some people stick to one part..Anyway what I want to say is, I believe Author would do the romance justice. His other book SHGS despite having nearly twenty Fls is quite good, not to mention his 'Magic's Return' which is a No-Harem. I absolutely loved that 'Magic's Return' book, and since it is focusing solely on one Fl, the amount of cute moments, romantic interactions and love development were fire. Now that this book would be a No-Harem, you can expect tons of cute romantic interactions, detailed and good love development—the one that shows how they became lovers and gained feelings for the other and all. And if the female lead is Who-I-Think-It-Is, then no one would be disappointed (she is called the most beautiful women of the world), I have noticed that if the story is a No-Harem but has a ridiculously beautiful Fl then even Harem readers like that..so your choice anyway. Though keep in mind, that it isn't sure that she is the actual Fl, anyway I know Author enough to know that the Fl would be a beauty. This is what I think, and I have tried to write everything from an unbiased perspective—as much as I could, in the end the choice is yours. Ooiii Sloth, I deserve a pin alright— more than 8,339 words and lots of thinking. You better gimme my deserved pin!

The depths of disappointment I felt when I realized the mc won't be breeding dragons to create them is unimaginable. Great novel nonetheless.

One of the best novels I have read so far although it's still in the starting phase with only 30+ chaps this awesome novel deserves a review --- Writing Quality (10/10) The writing quality in this novel is exceptional, as expected from SleepDeprivedSloth. The novel is immersive, and free from unnecessary info dumps(only present when needed) making the reading experience smooth and enjoyable. The author demonstrates the skill of a veteran writer from already writing some of the best popular novels. The pacing is natural, and it has me completely hooked not gonna lie. --- World-Building (9/10) Although still in its early stages, the world-building shows immense potential for depth and creativity. The novel introduces a world filled with beasts and there tamers with some mention of God's too, with much more to unravel cause the MC himself doesn't know much of the world in the current chaps. --- Power System (10/10) The power system in Dragon Genesis is one of the novel's main points for me. Kael, the protagonist, possesses a broken talent to transform beasts or beasteggs with even a trace of dragon bloodline into full-fledged dragons/dragoneggs. And the MC grows stronger as his loyal companions grows stronger(although there's currently only one). Of course some might have questions like will the MC only fight from the sidelines relying on his beasts and not doing anything himself I will just tell them no he will fight with them side by side. --- Character Development (9/10) Kael is a well-crafted protagonist who feels real and behaves with logic so if someone only reads novels for wish fulfilment that doesn't follow a little bit of logic this definitely not for them because there will be ups and downs, highs and lows that the MC will go through. He's also not a braid dead MC who doesn't use his brain at all which are abundant in many current novels. Although he still needs some character development but i have full trust in Sloth to pull it off beautifully. --- Update Stability (10/10) The author has great updating schedule with sometimes even releasing 4-5 chaps a day hope he makes it 10 chaps a day lol.. Jokes aside he has great updating schedule and doesn't miss out a day cause he has stocks of this chaps for emergency situations. --- Overall Impression (9.5/10) So to sum it up this novel is a complete gem of a novel with great potential. This is definitely a must-read for fans of reincarnation, fantasy, sword&magic and dragon-centric stories. So give it a chance guys I am certain you definitely like it.. ---

Is the MC a noble Hero who would sacrifice himself to protect everyone? Nope! He was summoned as a Hero, but that doesn’t mean he acts like one. Is he a good person? To some degree, yes. He helps others when he can, but his main priority will always be his Dragon children and those closest to him. Is he a pushover? For the love of dragons—no! Most of the time, he’s just playing along to gather information before deciding his next move. He’s smart and logical, though not infallible. He’ll make mistakes, learn, and grow. Will this be a harem? Honestly? I don’t know. Initially, it was planned as a single FL romance, and I still lean that way. But I prefer to let the story unfold naturally, so let’s wait for the FL to appear and see how things go. Should you read this book? Trust me—YES. If there’s one thing I can promise, it’s that this book will be a roller coaster of emotions: One moment, you’ll be laughing your heart out. The next, you won’t be able to hold back your tears. Sometimes, the MC’s choices will seem obvious. Other times, you’ll be questioning what’s truly right or wrong. You’ll hate a character one second… …And then love them the next. There will be cringey moments. But soon, you’ll find yourself rooting for the same characters that made you cringe. So trust your Sloth friend and dive in! Alright, this is my first review on this app (so Sloth, you can feel proud about it 😌). As you’d expect from Sloth, who is, in my opinion, one of the best authors on this app, the writing quality of this novel is top-tier. When I read, I feel completely immersed in the story, and I can’t wait for the next chapter to be released. The world-building is still in its early stages, but from what I’ve read so far, there’s a lot of potential for depth and creativity. I’m excited to see how it unfolds as the story progresses. The power system in this novel is particularly unique. Kael’s (MC) talent to transform beasts with even a trace of dragon bloodline into full-fledged dragons is an interesting concept. It also adds emotional depth through the “Shared Growth” mechanic, where Kael grows alongside his dragon companions, which makes their bond even more significant. As for Kael himself, from what I’ve seen so far, he actually uses his brain (unlike many other MCs in some novels). Of course, there’s still room for character development, but that’s to be expected since we’re still in the early chapters. To conclude, this novel has great potential. With Sloth’s fantastic writing, the power system, and the promising world-building (even though it’s not fully fleshed out yet, I trust Sloth—he never disappoints), this is definitely a story to read. Give it a shot, guys.

This novel, not biased, have the potential to be one of the best novels on this app. I'm not even kidding, it has the potential to be at least in top 10, if not top 5. Okay, let start with what makes this good. First, the writing quality is peak. You will see little to none grammatical errors, or spelling errors, for that matter. So you don't have to bang your head in order for you to understand what the hell the writing means. The description is very good; it allows your brain to vividly imagine what's going on without you putting much effort to it. Story development? Honestly, I would argue it is one of the best aspects of this book. I won't spoil it for you but the foreshadowing is absolutely fire 🔥. There won't be a lot of info dumps at early chapters and the development is not fast nor slow, just perfect. There is also comedy and humour to lighten the tone so you won't get bored. Character design. The characters are almost life like and you won't see any characters acting bizarre like in your usual cultivation novel. There maybe some cringe stuff to them, but you will definitely relate to most of the characters and intimately understand them, specially the MC. The world background. To be frank, the novel is in its early stages, and if you are familiar with the author other works, then you can at least depend on him that much 😉. So my advice is to read it and see for yourself. Now there are some minor issues as well. But they are nothing problematic. However, one issue I'd like to push to the author is that, will this be a harem novel or not? for me personally, I'd like to be single FMC and most of the readers, from my experience, will also like to agree as well. The reason behind it is that, it is not a smut novel is shgs, this novel is fantasy/action/romance book. But it ultimately is about beast, and I think making it a harem will beat that purpose. On the other hand though, please do continue to write some lemon scenes. I think this much will appease the harem route readers. But yeah, this is it. P.S. if you like novels about dragons, you're in for a ride (⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠). P.S.(2) Author, this might be selfish of me but please increase the chapter release rate 🙏🏿

Since it's written by sloth, how can it not be 5 stars :D The start is really interesting and hopefully we get as much fun or even more than we got from reading 'SHGS' which was a banger as well ❤️

So everything is great about this story, it doesn’t get a 5 star because this has only like 15 chapters so far. But the authors other two works which I’ve read have been great. So I expect this to be great too. I don’t remember if we got any character design or description. But the illustrations have always been amazing so far, so im thinking this will be great too. The only thing I didn’t like was the bit about him having those dreams…things like that always annoy me…i canr deal with the whole suspense and wanting to know more, but if you’re one who likes to be on edge give it a shot.

I've read the first chapter and enjoyed it but from the Synopsis I realized that the author is going to write sad scenes... I read novels to escape from the sadness of the real world, so author, don't do this or I'll give you 1 star😂

Another Great Novel By The Sloth So what I have gathered about the MC in the first 19 chapters is - 1. Won't actively go after skirts like Nux (hopefully) 2. Another Potential Masochist 3. Might get an Edgy personality like I am the hero so I will save everyone or stuff like that... P.S. he's still a virgin after 19 chapters, so he can't be compared to Nux 😂

With just 14 chapters you can't expect me to give a good summary of pros and cons so early. Though I would say, it started great and I liked the MC's cheat power. I had read the author's other work, and I know if he is serious in continuing this book, it will be a great work. Though a little confused on how instead of skills ,etc, the first dragon has strength and weakness. Also please increase the chapter release count without reducing chapters length, as without a high release count, I have seen other great works to go down in ranking . Please don't drop the novel.

I lost interest as of chapter 14, the concept of it i like, but as much as I know, he is in a new place and keeps getting terrified by dreams, he is to much of a yes man, and I despise people like that more then anything
