Indeed. Earlier on when Ves had to choose a reward and choose Darkness it was also made clear to him what he would lose on the Life side of things if he added Wood, yet now he wants to force Wood on Joshua when Joshua is life focused? It really doesn't make much sense when you took everything into consideration, seems rather shortsighted and tunnel vision focused of Ves.
If he's worried about cost for those elemental carmine systems then he just needs to focus on making them more economical once he's a master. Just because they're expensive now doesn't mean they always will be. He really feels a tad shortsighted by getting hung up on that.
My main issue isn't even the rewording and rehashing, but that the other two of the three choices were so bad that I couldn't even take his thought process seriously. Like kidnapping aliens is something his fleet can do, so unlike phasewater it's a far less limited resource, making it a worse choice than that one and he had already written that one off. Then there's the portal one, it's useless for mining since he'd need to guard the mining sites and his fleet is centered around hit and run, so guarding mining sites behind enemy lines is out. So I just read a ton of chapters about him contemplating which of three things to choose when 2 out of those 3 were terrible choices for him. To me the author really failed on this one.
I loved the story, but it's a shame that the ending felt like going down a bullet point list where you even forgot a few things like a certain fey wife. The ending was just too rushed.
Personally I'm fine with either harem or single fml. What I prefer to see is that the partner(s) are at least competent and can do things together (adventuring, fighting, etc). Nothing is as useless in a story as a harem of background character housewives.
Glad to see the recaps going. I figure it might work fine if you're caught up, but I just started reading the novel a few days ago and having to skip the start of so many chapters was really quite annoying.
Couldn't he have sold those in order to gather the money he needed for the hospital? Feels like you made them a bit too expensive, resulting in a potential plot hole there.
Probably not before his second class is a Legendary one if it's up to him.
Looks like he totally forgot to list his music will.
Wasn't his mana above 300 the last time? Why did it drop back down to just over 100?
