I think she may have promised to kill someone like the queen in order to convince her to lift the curse. I don’t think she’d do it without having something else given in exchange, that would allow her to still fulfill her revenge.

I think Mars will go to war to save Emmelyn sounds like something like that will happen in the future. As far as her being surrounded by bad luck, maybe it’s a part of Mars’ curse, that the only woman able to be with him will be surrounded by misfortune 🤔.
