I'm serious kek, damascus steel was a very well known technique in India and Sri Lanka, and was lost due to the fact that modern steel isn't the same as the old steel. The technique is still the same regardless. It was made until the 19th century* and after that was holy wiped out by better steel production methods. Some don't understand why it's lost or where one can find wootz steel, but either way, cheers for the pointer.

Right now, Ragnar is still under the tutelage of his father. Eve being in his life means nothing to him, he is neither obsessed nor in love with Eve. He hasn't married her, nor professed his love to her. He understands that she's useful due to a developed spy network and keeps her around due to it.
