Aight, looks like we have opposing views so far. We had another reader recommending Ragnar cut Erika off, cuz she'll suffer and come back to him.
I'm serious kek, damascus steel was a very well known technique in India and Sri Lanka, and was lost due to the fact that modern steel isn't the same as the old steel. The technique is still the same regardless. It was made until the 19th century* and after that was holy wiped out by better steel production methods. Some don't understand why it's lost or where one can find wootz steel, but either way, cheers for the pointer.
Interesting review, but I'm, tired of people misinterpreting paragraphs. I've looked through chapter 24 to see what you're referencing and what Ragnar said was: "It was truly hard to be harsh to women." And that is true.....what sane man enjoys hurting women? Now as for the second part, The last will of the original host was to create his own destiny rather than be at the beck and call of someone else. Right now, Ragnar is still under the tutelage of his father. Eve being in his life means nothing to him, he is neither obsessed nor in love with Eve. He hasn't married her, nor professed his love to her. He understands that she's useful due to a developed spy network and keeps her around due to it. Sigh, please point out in which chapter I've made the claim of male and female dynamics and I'll check it out to let you know what you misinterpreted. Cheers for the review, I haven't deleted this, but this is the second review that hasn't showed up on my reviews section. The previous one was a positive one as well. Might want to copy paste this into a new review so it's visible.
What Ragnar did to recover quickly was intense oxygenation and he felt nearly back upto speed. The story is about an overpowered MC sheesh, and he still felt a bit weaker than Thorkell.
No, Thank you for creating a discussion. I love talking about the medieval era with people:)
Sadly they did use leather armor. It wasn't soft leather that is depicted in movies and shows, but hard boiled leather, and was used until plate became very common in 1400s.
They were infact shorter Xerstoren. Through my research, it's said that heights started to go up after the Norman Conquest in 1066.
Sheesh, miscjt be the only one spotting these mistakes. Cheers man, you've saved me a bunch of times already. Hope its not ruining your immersion.
