That attack was truly terrifying. Knowing that he couldn't dodge, Warcury didn't put any effort in defending it. He took the full burnt of the attack. But while he was healing back, the monster killed the admiral in an instant. Her proficiency in haki was truly terrifying.

No, it said earlier that he didn't put any effort into defending the attack because he knew it would be wasted effort. Instead, he decided to just have his regeneration tank the damage for him.
