That’s a no brainer, if a member of the court came from the lowest bracket, it would be easy to manipulate the power by those who hold enough privilege simply by taking their familiy members captive or something.

The writing quality is fine, it's understandable and very comfortable to read. The story development is a bit problematic on my perspective because it is low paced and there are chapters u might feel bored especially the appearance of magic is minimal at best , it only shows at chaptr 100ish albeit barely.

I feel delighted reading this as a psychology student. By the way the reason might be bacause it's to understand herself more,one of my prof. once said that the primary reason why most of us taking psychology as our degree because we wanted to understand ourselves, and understanding others is only secondary.
