Oof. Another flag. Have a gut feeling Monica is going to pass away during childbirth due to Khan’s mutations.
So the situation is both great and awful for those that we’re transported. They will likely evolve over time, just like ’low gravity humans’, but instead, they will rapidly grow into ancient humans, just like the skeleton ves found. Problem is all the species around them all have been growing from that overtime. They’ll be evolutionarily superior for a while. Also, the Phase whales will also be empowered. Thing is, it doesn’t seem like the whales predicted or knew where they would end up after transporting the galaxy, as they are surrounded by potential enemies as well. They just happened to transport it into a very spiritually rich area of the universe.
Read up to 130 chapters, and it wasn’t bad. It’s okay and has decent enough worldbuilding, grammar and writing. My complaints? Main character is inconsistent as hell with decision making. Half the time it seems like he’ blundering his way through stuff, the other half he’s competent. It feels like he’ supposed to be like 4 different people in the same body, and it feels off. Dropped at 130. For saying that the character isn’t a villain but an antihero, I think thats wrong. Child killing is a hard line for me, and any main character who directly kills kids like that instantly becomes unsympathetic no matter what. So, if I feel disgust towards the main character, it takes me out of the novel. I think it was a poor choice, and unfortunately I won’t be reading anymore. Some people can ignore it and that’s fine, but it’s pretty hard to make such an unlikable protagonist in a single chapter.
Ves can use Ylvaine to pick a school that will succeed, right?
The way to gain increased support from the original mech pilots is show the benefits of the carmine system to existing pilots. It doesn’t seem like the Carmine system invalidates those who are original pilots, it also gives them far better resonance, and likely aids and works better with existing mech pilots than those without the aptitude
Going for a prediction here. The Mech Kingdom is just an extension of the Metal scroll. The Metal scroll is far more all encompassing than Ves realizes, and Scrolls are almost like metaphysical laws governing humanity. The Metal Scroll has all sorts of pass or fail punishments and even though it facilitates advancement it also gives Ves incentives to advance himself and humanity.
I do think it’s a bit wild Gloriana thinks its all well and fine but it directly puts their kids at risk too, not just them.
I think Dullahan would be a cooler path for ves.
Just one thing. Do you think Irene will connect the dots to the god mech he created under the alias of Mr. S in a prior time jump? You would think the few god pilots of humanity would be able to communicate with each other…
