Henriette seems really terrified of the idea of seeing Nathaniel again. I hope he doesn't plan on causing trouble for her. I have a feeling that Lorenzo's keeping something from them. I think her father's hiding something from her too. The real reason he brought her back. What's with all the secrets? What's going on with this family? I'm intrigued.

Jillian is such a terrifyingly cold character. I wonder why Nathaniel got involved with her in the first place. Auguste is such a wonderful husband and I really hope he never has to doubt his wife's love for him because it's pretty obvious how much she loves him. She was young and stupid but she's learned her lessons.

This is heartbreaking. I was deeply moved by this chapter. Henriette has been through so much in her life. I really hope Nathaniel doesn't cause any problems for her and Auguste.

For a story about second chances,you have no idea what to expect because the author doesn't make it easy for you to just understand the direction of the story and that is what I love in stories, the suspense just keeps you guessing and it makes you come back for more.
