the life as a low level person in a world of magic who is given a chance to change his life, this is a story that I love. He faces a lot of challenges in an unfair world but he never gives up, he sees a chance to change his life and he goes for it. It isn't easy for him but he pushes through while all the same protecting his friends

this book is amazing, the gradual growth of the progenitor vampire is outstanding. in the story you can see the difficulties of living a double life even before you reach it. I love the fact that even tho he's already op he want to continue his research and help his apprentices along the way, all to establish a future for his kind
