Author or translator or both probably have misconceptions about digit in billion. 1000 million is 1 billion but they seem to be counting 100 as one.

Though temporarily tragic but it made that story more realistic. Sometimes life gives us situations that calls for hardships and sacrifices. She did what was required of her at that situation and the male lead also led the rest of the troops out as it was required of him, being the one in charge.Things got better. She didn't die and bounced back better than ever. They even became a couple later.

This guy is kinda asking to be robbed. In real life the way he handled the gold and antique coins, would probably get him robbed/cheated/blackmailed. He is just exposing where he kept million worth of wood without taking much precautions. All they need to do is hire some professionals to gun him down, or break in and clear the goods out.A guy without any background, power walking in with valuables which he doesn't have any proof of ownership. And powerful players in those industries will deal him like a regular customer.....fat chance. Maybe for a small amount, a coin or two. But in those amounts, the sharks would eat him alive. Probably also kill him after extracting all the info, to end any future trouble.

Also the fire can't be 5000 mile high either. That's absurd and would need several mega-ship loads of TNT. Earth's atmosphere is about 6000 mile. Even 5000 meter (5km) is absurd scale. The biggest nuclear bomb ever in earth had a mushroom cloud up to only 40 miles high.
