mostly a lurker. I like non-human mc stories with neutral mcs and I don't like harems.

think of mutations are like modifiers while stats are the baseline. For example ethoss' scales might add 30% physical resistance on top of his base 50 toughness.
the chinese word for roar also encompasess pretty much any animal noise, so it's mostly ~~lazy~~ out-of-context translation.

there really isn't much reason why he should to that. Considering he can't change his crystalline nature so he even if he did shapeshift into something humaniod he would end up looking like a living armour/statue/golem which really wouldn't help much in his current situation considering that the system can change qi skills to be compatable with his beast body. I can only see him turning humanoid to use certain tools the system can't replicate or to mess with shirong(congrats turns out your immortal weapon can turn into a golem to pra-save your sorry ass)
now I am just imagining that stuff happens, shirong gets captured or something and mc has to get him out and he like changes his form to look akin to the iceworm from subnautica below zero and just wrecks everything. Shirong meanwhile wonders if it is common for immortal weapons to be autonomous.
I have to agree with niche on that you need an editor to check grammar since it is seriously holding the otherwise good story back. It breaks the flow of the story and makes it an hastle to read and some sentences and statements ending up making zero sense which takes a lot of the enjoyment out of reading the story. If you can't get an editor try grammarly instead, it's free and easy to use.
