The repetitive racism story arcs and China’s fictional superiority complex compared to other countries/nationalities left a bad taste in my mouth. The US and Japan gets the bulk of the insults from the MC and Author. Humor started out great. But as you read along, everything gets annoying, boring, repititive and tiring. Most of the characters are stupid and used mainly for comic relief. Not for me! Dropped this story.

This has been one of my go-to novels during my downtimes despite its imperfections. Even if I’m not satisfied with the ending and some plot holes, I still like the overall plot and storyline. As they say, “It’s not the destination, it’s the journey that matters the most.” Experience the journey yourself. I highly recommend this novel!

The anime version, one of my faves, introduced me to Webnovel. At first, I just wanted to know what happens next. Though this novel has many imperfections like some plot holes, etc, I still love to read it! I’m emotional invested to the story. I highly recommend this to all the half bloods (half reader, half gamer) out there! It felt like we’re playing the game ourselves.

Hidden gem! The plot is interesting. Each chapter is well-written so far. I just hope this novel gets updated often. Author please keep on writing!
