Please do not listen to this guy, his character does change during the second novel but it all makes sense if you actually finish reading the volume. His character is also not nearly as bad as this guy says. He remains a good character.

Very good. There is no big drop in quality during Volume 2 as others might have you believe, although it does slow down in pace. That much is true. Very well constructed world(though we have not seen much of it yet), a good plot, a really interesting power system, and a decent cast of characters. I'd give this story a 4/5, but giving it a 5 due to ratings on this website being really inflated.
