Old and pessimistic. Pardon me if I call you out on your stupidity. That's just how I am.

It's good. No weak and cowardly garbage protagonist like most readers prefer. It's an enjoyable read, since you don't have to read constant garbage like "I can't say that, I can't do that, I can't show that, I can't defeat that, I can't reveal my identity, I can't reveal my talent etc". I'm so tired of the "can't do" protagonists that this rare "can do" protagonist is a breath of fresh air.
If you think it needs to take hundreds of chapters to turn someone into a villain, you clearly lack the qualifications to look down on others for their ignorance. Well, some time has passed since your comment, so maybe you have read more than 2 novels by now and realized how much of a moron you were. There are many villain novels out there and you clearly haven't read a single one, yet speaks as if you're an expert on the topic. How typical.
I don't see how the first chapters were fantastic. All they showcased was that the protagonist is a horny idiot who can't tell the difference between dreams and reality. He also showed that he's completely clueless about when to make stupid jokes, because the joke he made there was very badly timed and incredibly childish and stupid. Anyway, it does showcase well what to expect from future chapters, so if you don't like dumb and childish protagonists, you might as well steer clear of this.
He was 16 in his past life, with fully conscious memory since day one in his new life. Therefore he is 21 years old, mentally, but acts like he's 3. And yes, 21 is a full-grown adult. If having him act like a spineless coward and constantly embarrassing himself is "comedy", then I'm guessing he's going to have a mental age of 3 throughout the novel. No reason to keep reading then. And no, the way he acts is not realistic whatsoever. Well, unless he really was 5. But at his actual age, he should definitely have the ability to be calm and rational. And he most certainly wouldn't spend his days running around playing with other toddlers, because what 21 year old befriends and plays with toddlers? Even if it's because of his cowardice and he feels the need to pretend to be a normal child for no reason, it's still a huge stretch.
Yep. It's insanely forced. Pretty much every interaction, enmity and plotting is ridiculously forced. The conflict with Mike and the meeting of Dawn were the two most ridiculous events so far imo. But mainly what I didn't like about this novel is that he's supposed to be half dragon, and be heavily influenced by it. A dragon is the most arrogant and prideful existence. But what is the protagonist? He's a coward. He schemes, worries from excessive paranoia, hides his strength, even has thoughts of being scared and wanting to run away if he could. Do you think a dragon's pride would let them run away from enemies? They would feel immense anger at just having such a thought. But not the protagonist. His cowardice overwhelms his entire dragon bloodline. In essence, he's the cliche cowardly low-key Chinese protagonist. It's clear that when it comes to the protagonist and world building, the author is heavily influenced by Chinese writing. The only time he acts like a dragon is when the system forces him to, or when it doesn't make sense, like him being angry for absolutely ridiculous reasons, all so the author can go "My dragon pride won't stand for this!" Bitch boy, you clearly have no dragon pride. You have a timid mouse pride. It greatly annoys me. I'm over a quarter into the novel, and he's still the same cowardly bitch that hides. When his skill didn't let him hide his stats as much as he wanted, he even had the audacity to complain about it like "Why won't you let me hide my strength more?". He wants to be low-key, because he's afraid of standing out and he can more easily scheme and kill enemies it they underestimate him. Does that sound like the thought process of a dragon? That is the thought process of a coward. Not a strong and prideful being. Yeah, as you can tell, I'm quite annoyed by how the author butchered his novel with bad writing and having 0 basic knowledge of dragons other than the fact that they have scales.
Ah, so not an OP protagonist then. Just a regular garbage trash protagonist that needs saving like most other novels. Thanks, I'll pass then. And I will accept my ban with honor, snowflake author :)
There are already too many stories with cowardly protagonists that live as insult sponges. If you enjoy reading about a weak coward that eats insults for breakfast, that's cool. But please don't try to bring that shitty crap into other novels, thank you. Being a coward is not a good trait, although it has become a default personality. Probably due to Chinese novel influence, as they as a people have a very cowardly mentality. If you don't stand up for yourself right away, you might as well forget about it entirely. It's just petty to get revenge for small things that happened in the past.
Well we don't want realistic, that's why we read fantasy novels. If you want to read about an average person and their problems, you can read the news or an autobiography. Don't ruin novels with weak and cowardly protagonists.
I came here to see if any reviews mentioned his cowardly personality improving, but judging by how you're praising him for his cowardly nature, I'll assume it's gonna stay like that. I read it long ago and wasn't sure why I initially dropped it. Well, now I know. No point in continuing reading it then.
First of all, his cat Lily is annoying and I wish she didn't exist. With that out of the way, the novel is alright. At least up until the 500's where I am currently. There's a ton of water, and honestly, I pretty much skip every training chapter entirely and quickly skim through the panagea chapters. They are just boring and pointless. At the start, it seemed like it would be a nice story about a powerful and apathetic store owner, but unfortunately the author adds limitations to the characters growth. Despite supposedly being OP, for the first 300 chapters at least, he's not strong enough. Later on he advances to reach the peak of the weakest universe and I thought that was great, but unfortunately the author thought it was a great idea to keep introducing powerful people and making the protagonist seem like trash in comparison. That really sucked and was completely unnecessary. The author did also admit that he forced that unnecessary bullshit in there for "character growth". Unfortunately, the only thing that grew from that addition was my disinterest in continuing to read this novel. An OP protagonist should never be weaker than the enemies he encounters. So damn sad that he's pissing himself and getting told he can't win fights all of sudden. It was pretty good up until this point. As for the writing and grammar, well, there are a lot of mistakes. Awkward terminology, wrong terminology, missing words and the most annoying mistake of all that has continued all the way to chapter 500 (and will probably continue until the end of the novel)... The authors misuse of "Would" when he means to use "Will". So any term similar to "I will xxx", will instead say "I would xxx". I will eat - I would eat. I will buy it - I would buy it. I will do it - I would do it. You get the point. It's so annoying and I can't believe he managed to write so many chapters without anyone telling him.
