A zombie apocalypse broke out yesterday! Encountering zombies, fighting, and running for their life, it was a survival on the first day. The two protagonist, Roku and Hachi were able to overcome the chaos. However, they were trapped in the rooftop and they had to stay the night there as a result. And today, they will attempt escaping from the school.

Lin Qiao felt really strange, because that zombie actually ignored the humans by her side and only stared at her. Was it because of the connection between zombies? Or, was it vigilant against her?
The researchers in that room took fright, as the zombie dominator had raised his head to look at the surveillance camera. Lin Qiao was surprised as well. That zombie actually looked into the camera. Clearly, he was rather smart!
The zombie dominator abruptly lowered his head and turned to the frozen man in the corner.
What surprised Lin Qiao even more was that she didn't detect any intention of killing from that zombie's eyes. The zombie seemed to have gotten used to all this.
'Eh? What does this mean? Doesn't he eat humans?' She thought.
"I guess he still won't do it himself." Said the researcher beside Lin Qiao.
Lin Qiao paused briefly. As she understood that man's meaning, she immediately sensed those researcher's thoughts.
'I see! It turns out that…'
From those people's thoughts, Lin Qiao learned that that zombie would not hurt humans. They forced him to eat humans, so that he could stay alive after they took a lot of his blood.
Apart from living human beings, they would also give him zombie nuclei to replenish his energy.
The zombie only glanced at man in that room before turning his head away. He looked around the room, then again looked at the camera.
Lin Qiao observed the zombie with surprise. He actually did not eat human beings before. How did he manage to grow to such a high level?
That zombie acted very calmly. Even though Lin Qiao considered him ugly, he was actually normal-looking among zombies. His eyes were deeply sunken and weirdly black; his facial muscles had shrunk, emphasizing his cheek bones.
There was a scar near his left cheek bone.
"Do it. I don't think he'll attack this time." At that moment, a man among those researchers suddenly talked. The others nodded, as if they had foreseen that. Clearly, they were tired of waiting for that zombie to attack that man.
Once before, they locked a man in that room for three days. The zombie never touched that man. At last, that man died of starvation.
However, after that man died, the zombie made a move. He dug out that man's heart and ate it. He only ate dead bodies, but refused to touch living humans.
Hearing that researcher, the other man picked up the communicator and said, "Fire." 
Three seconds later, a gunshot was heard.
Bang! 
Along with the gunshot, the zombie suddenly turned back. Lin Qiao clearly sensed his unhappiness, which was growing stronger. But soon, he restrained his emotion, then turned around and kept staring at the camera.
The people in the research room were waiting for the zombie to eat that dead man's heart. But to their surprise, he stayed motionless.
One minute had passed… Three minutes, ten minutes… Half an hour later, that zombie still hadn't made any moves.
"What's going on? What happened to him today? Why doesn't he eat?" The people in the research room couldn't stay calm. Clearly, that had never happened before. Why did that zombie even refuse to eat that dead man today? What happened?
As the zombie didn't eat the dead man, those researchers didn't know what to do. If he refused to feed, his blood might lose its activity.
"What's going on?" The others were confused as well.
"Put in the zombie nuclei and see how he'll react," said another man.
Soon, a small part of a wall in that room suddenly sank, and then something rolled out of it. Lin Qiao looked closer and found that those were a few level-five zombie nuclei.
'Are they feeding him with zombie nuclei now? This zombie is living a pretty good life!'
But still, that zombie dominator stayed motionless.
"It's so weird! What happened to him today?" Those researchers didn't know why this was happening. Anyways, they had no other choice but to stay patient and keep waiting. 
Only Lin Qiao knew what was going on.
It was because of her! How could that zombie possibly be in the mood of feeding, as he had sensed that a stronger zombie was nearby? He was, of course, on full alert now. That was like an animal instinct. As a level-seven zombie, he was already very smart!
Together with those researchers, Lin Qiao quietly observed that zombie through the screen. They kept watching for two hours, but the zombie made no move at all. The dead man's body had become cold, and those zombie nuclei were still lying on the ground.
The two things in the world that zombies liked the most actually failed to catch that zombie's attention. How strange!
"What should we do now? He isn't eating anything. Are we going to keep him in that room for two or three days like the last time? We need to take his blood in just two days," said a researcher.
"We don't have time for that. It's his choice not to eat. Release the tranquilizer," said another researcher blandly. Next, a purple stream of gas was suddenly released inside the room. 
"Roar!" Once the gas was released, the zombie was agitated. He bared his teeth and gave a roar. However, his roar wasn't heard from the outside, because that room was not only sealed, but also soundproof. Judging merely by the look on his face, Lin Qiao felt that he was somehow stimulated.
She sensed that zombie's anger, as if that gas was very repulsive to him. Was he able to tell what that tranquilizer was going to do to him? Or, was the tranquilizer injected into his body before?
Anyhow, the zombie was now frenzied. He started rampaging through the room. His claws become extra sharp, leaving a series of marks on the thick, metal walls. However, he wasn't able to break those walls. 
He hunched his back, and the hair on his head started growing. His human ears disappeared, and black fuzz grew out of his face. Then, his disappeared ears grew back out, but moved upward and became black and fluffy, in a triangular shape. 
'Eh?'
Lin Qiao looked at that zombie who had become a large cat with surprise. Behind his body, a thick, long, black, and fluffy tail was wagging.
'Oh my, is that a leopard?' 
"Roar!" That man-shaped leopard was darting about the room. But, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't free himself from that isolation chamber.
Lin Qiao was curious and calm. Unlike her, the people near her all fixed their eyes on that large leopard in the screen. They knew that the zombie would soon quiet down, but didn't dare to relax. After all, that was a zombie dominator. 


Lin Qiao remembers nothing from the past five years since the post-apocalyptic era began. She wakes up only to find herself having become a newborn, superpowered zombie, in a body that used to belong to an evil and notorious woman!

Having kidnapped a girl and raped her father, the previous host met her demise at the very hands of the conspiracies she courted all her life, leaving Lin Qiao no choice but to deal with the consequences while trying to figure out her own past and the fate of her loved ones. 

As for the little girl’s father, can’t he just have a decent fight? He’s a human being, but why is he biting a zombie? She’s the zombie! She’s the one who’s supposed to bite! 

The students had gone to class, but Han Shuo and Jack had yet to begin tackling their duties for the day. After everyone had left, the two also separated to complete their respective work.
Han Shuo felt the heaviness in his chest dissipate when he'd finished cleaning the statues. He found a deserted corner and undid the top of his rough, linen shirt. He looked down at his chest and saw that there was an undercurrent of pale-green specks of light being expelled from his body. It seemed that Claude's pale-green fighting aura was being handled in this manner under the influence of the magical yuan.
Breathing a small sigh of relief, Han Shuo laid his worries to rest and marvelled at how miraculous the magical yuan was. From the knowledge that he'd recently gained, knights were also divided into various levels. Their fighting auras would be different at each level, such as knight apprentice (pale-blue), companion-at-arms (dark blue), sergeant (pale-green), senior knight (dark green), earth rider (white), sky rider (silver), and divine knight (gold).
Claude's fighting aura color was pale-green, indicating that he really did have the strength of a sergeant level knight. If a sergeant level knight gathered his fighting aura and attacked a normal person, it would have dealt a fatal blow to the target with no exceptions whatsoever. The fact that he had survived without major injury was a clear testament to the fact that he had been training his magical yuan.
Han Shuo breathed a sigh of relief upon feeling the magical yuan firmly enclose the pale-green fighting aura, but didn't dare engage in more training. He was deathly afraid that if the magical yuan circulated to other parts of his body according to his wishes, then the pale-green aura would be free of its restraints and suddenly burst into action and injure his internal organs.
Thankfully, as time passed, the magical yuan was slowly expelling the aura in the form of specks of light. This helped Han Shuo breathe a bit easier.
Due to the fact that classes had already started, no one searched the trash heap that the little skeleton had taken refuge in, but this matter wasn't about to blow over that easily. Seeing as it was broad daylight, Han Shuo didn't dare command the skeleton to return to the warehouse, for fear of inopportune discovery.
Late afternoon, within the department of dark magic's training field.
The Babylon Academy of Magic and Force had very extensive facilities. Each department had its own independent training field. The training fields were a place for students to test their magic. All sorts of mental testing rocks to test mental strength, and equipment to measure the strength of a magical blast could be found within.
The necromancy major also had a few spacious rooms reserved specially for students to conduct magic experiments. Han Shuo happened to have a mop in hand and was cleaning the necromancy training room floors when he suddenly saw a few necromancy students walk over.
One of them was someone who had not come looking for Han Shuo in quite some time — Bach. His face was mottled with bruises and he looked quite miserable. It would seem that Irene and Lisa had already found him and made him pay. Bach swiftly grew livid when he spotted Han Shuo mopping the floor. His already ugly face became even more twisted, until it was almost impossible to make out his original features.

Han Shuo was gleefully jumping up and down inside, but continued to plaster a dumb, silly smile on his face. He was even humming a few lighthearted folk songs as he clutched the mop in his hands, twirling it this way and that.
"You damned Bryan, when did you see that little black skeleton run out from my room?!" Bach's face had twisted ferociously as he roared angrily at Han Shuo.
Han Shuo lifted a completely clueless face and glanced at Bach, giving him a dumb smile. He didn't answer and rapidly walked off with the mop.
"Come back here, you're not getting away today!"
"Bach, how many times have I told you not to bully Bryan. Do you ignore even my words now?" Fanny immediately stuck her hands on her waist and yelled sternly after she'd walked in through the door, and glimpsed Bach about to chase after Han Shuo.
"Master Fanny, look at my face! It's all because Bryan started some rumors that Lisa and Irene beat me up. Bryan's the bully here!"
"Oh, I've heard about what happened this morning. Maybe Bryan was confused and saw incorrectly. He's already like this! Why are you creating more trouble for him? Hmph. With your magical ability, you really don't have the ability to summon such a strange and strong skeleton." Fanny started talking to herself after this point. "Who on earth summoned it? I am very curious as well. There are rumors flying that our necromancy major has had a major breakthrough, and has discovered a way to make our dark creatures immune to light magic attacks."
Han Shuo had run to the corner of the room and was gazing upon the glamorous Fanny from afar. Fanny had tied her light purple hair up into a bun today, leaving only a few purple strands resting on her forehead. This added a striking charm to her looks, causing Han Shuo to silently sigh multiples times in wonder.
"Bryan, your Agony of the Soul should be over by now and can help me practice my zombies today. Come, go to training room three." Lisa flicked her gaze to the figure in the corner and commanded arrogantly.
"Lisa, practice is fine and all, but you can't do what you did last time and directly attack him with a ghoul." Fanny rebuked gently, worried that something might happen to Han Shuo after hearing Lisa's words.
"I know, Master Fanny!" Lisa tossed out a careless reply and walked towards training room three.
It was the duty of the errand servants to help students practice their magic. Han Shuo also wanted to take to chance and enact some revenge, so he docilely put down the mop and walked towards the training room.
Lisa closed the training room door with a loud clatter after Han Shuo had entered the area. This indicated that she wished to reserve the room for her own use today. She stood cockily in front of the door and stared Han Shuo down, "You can't run away today."
She immediately raised her hands and started chanting when she had finished speaking, "Zombie warriors of the fallen, heed the dark herald's call and reveal your existence!"
A muscular zombie warrior with a dark green body, wielding a thick wooden club, materialized as soon as the incantation had finished.
Zombie warriors were a level higher than skeletal warriors. They weren't necessarily rotting corpses, but rather had muscular and tough bodies.They moved faster than skeletal warriors and their strength was greater. Only novice mages were able to summon them, so therefore a mere apprentice, like Bach, would have been completely unable to do so.

Summoned dark creatures could attack enemies if the summoner gave a mental command. However, low level dark creatures usually possessed extremely low intelligence, and could only engage in the most basic attacks. A summoner would have to continuously exercise mental control if they wanted the dark creature to attack up to its full potential. Only then would the dark creature follow the summoner wishes and attack in a variety of complex ways.
However, repeated practice was needed in order to become proficient and adeptly control a dark creature's attacks through mental strength. Therefore, the necromancy errand boys often became practice targets. Up until now, Lisa and co. had used skeletal warriors to practice on the errand boys. This time however, she had summoned a zombie warrior. It was plain to see that she was up to no good.
Han Shuo was dumbfounded when he saw that Lisa hadn't summoned a skeletal warrior, but a stronger, higher level zombie warrior. He inwardly cursed Lisa's name a couple dozen times and backed up, on high alert.
"Hehe, I see you're running faster Bryan, and that your strength has grown. It seems to be a bit of an insult to practice skeletal warriors on you. So today, you have the honor of helping the future necromancer archmage, Lisa, learn how to better control zombie warriors."

The zombie warrior was wielding a thick wooden club and thundered towards Han Shuo, according to Lisa's instructions. Its speed was quite fast, and closed the distance quickly. The club flew directly towards Han Shuo's head.
This club was thicker than Han Shuo's arms, and the zombie warrior possessed great strength. Even if he didn't die, Han Shuo would be gravely injured if he was hit.
For reasons unknown, Han Shuo wasn't afraid at all as he watched the club descend. In fact, he felt a kind of bloodthirsty excitement. It was a very odd feeling, as if his body and soul craved battle.
His eyes narrowed slightly as the dumb look vanished from his face, replaced with a sharp glint in his eyes. He tensed his left leg and sprang off it, shifting his body to the right by a meter.
Bam went the zombie warrior's wooden club as it smacked solidly into the floor, where Han Shuo had just been standing.
"Ee?!" Lisa gave a shocked squeal from the sidelines, where she had been controlling the zombie warrior. For the briefest of moments, the feeling she normally received from Han Shuo drastically changed, causing her heart to stutter. She had never seen the expression and the look in his eyes before this moment, and so had emitted a startled sound of bewilderment.

And as the zombie warrior became more and more agile, and chasing after him with greater speed, Han Shuo's thirst for revenge became stronger as well. "A demon practitioner does as he wishes… A demon practitioner does as he wishes…" A memory suddenly resurfaced in Han Shuo's mind. He seemed to spontaneously understand the true meaning behind demonic magic, and the sentence "a demon practitioner does as he wishes" seemed to coalesce into a voice that echoed endlessly in his mind.
Finally, Han Shuo gave a low roar as he bent his head and arched his body. He changed his body's trajectory from avoidance and made straight for Lisa's direction.

Next day, I woke up early in the morning. As usual I did my exercises & breakfast. Then I sent a shadow clone in the academy with enough Chakra to last whole day. I also sent Fira with the clone.

I'll spend the whole day in ID for grinding. I muttered 'ID create-Zombie world' enter the dungeon world. I started zombie hunting. Come experiences and SPs. Come to Papa. I'm using the gate of Babylon to hunt Zombies. You have to say it's a wonderful experience. It is literally spamming the enemy to the death.

As usual after 100 Zombie hunt , the legion zombie appeared. I surrounded it with the gate of Babylon. Poor zombie never stood a chance. Then I started hunting normal zombies again. After 100, Legion Zombie appeared again. So I hunted it down. Ha-ha, Grinding is so easy. The cycle of 100 normal zombie & a legion zombie done again & again until 10 number legion Zombie was hunted.

The Sky started to darken. And a 100 meter giant Zombie appeared. I used observe on it,

I watched the time. It has been 15 hours since I started grinding. Today I gained 4 levels & 3000 SPs. Let's head back. I went back to my room to see the clone playing with Fira. I dispelled it. All memory of it came to me. It seems bait is successfully taken by Ino. She played with Fira all the day while we talked on various topics. She is really the Gossip Queen of this generation.  I should take all this slowly. It is still about 10 months to graduate. Or should I graduate earlier?

After parking the car and entering the house, Tsuyoshi sat down and Mattias prepared something to eat. They were both tired mentally as this was their first true teamwork and the first time they killed something other than a zombie.
"Bro that was incredible! That thing's head was really hard y'know. I thought my wooden sword would crack!"
"I'm just thankful that nothing bad happened to us. That plan was easy to derail."
"Yeah we succeeded!"
"Yes. Here."
"So what now? We are here in your home."
"I was thinking of making this neighborhood a little bit safer actually. And for that I'm going to need your strength even if I don't like it."
"I see. But you have to say it."
"Say what?"
"Say 'Please help me Tsuyoshi.'"
"I already told you that I'll need your abilities!"
"I want to hear it."
"I refuse."
"C'mooon."
"I already stated that."
"Stating is not enough sometimes y'know."
"It is now so eat up, we have a lot of work to do."
"Haa fine. But I'm going to make you ask for my help eventually. We are friends now so it shouldn't be awkward to ask for help from each other."

They ate their meal, well if you could call eating from a can a meal, in silence and went out after they took their respective weapons of choice. Tsuyoshi asked for their plan and Mattias pointed towards the street across them. There were wandering zombies there and their numbers were scarce as well, a total of 10 zombies pretty far apart from each other.
"We'll start from that street and continue from there. Streets are our first priority, and then we'll clean the houses one by one. We will have rests after each fight if possible, so to not endanger our lives."
"Okay! Here I go then!"
"Don't be rash. We can lure them one by one."
"A group cleanup is easier though?"
"It may seem that way but think about it; what if you get surrounded?"
"I won't though."
"There's no need to put yourself in meaningless danger. Here, throw this to one of the zombies' head."
Mattias handed a rock he picked up and pointed at a zombie in the street not too far away from them. Tsuyoshi picked it up and threw it. It went pretty fast compared to how he looked like when throwing it. He seemed like he didn't exert much power but the speed told otherwise.
It hit the head of the zombie with quite a force and it stumbled. When it turned towards the duo, growled and started approaching.
"Nice throw. We can kite them like this."
"Why don't you fight this one?"
"Why?"
"I want to see how you fight."
"Okay I guess."
Mattias drew his kodachis and left the garden. The zombie was approaching him slowly, its wobbly steps barely carrying it. The coast was clear, save for the street across them so Mattias was relaxed about there being any nuisances. Mattias waited until there were about 5 meters between him and the zombie and rushed to brandish his kodachis.
It was his first time fighting so his movements were stiff. His steps were all over the place and his control over his movements was awkward. He did manage to get a couple of hits through but his 'fight' consisted of dodging and not getting hit.
Seeing this, Tsuyoshi sighed drew his katana and walked over to them. He beheaded the zombie with a swift swing and looked at Mattias.
"You need training bro. Your movements were, how can I say this without hurting you…"
"Just say it, I can take it."
"Well let's just say that you were moving like a 4-year-old girl trying to do a dance show after she saw a cool dance video."
"Wow."
"Yeah. So let's put hunting on Plan B for today and let's get the basics down."
"Whatever you say."
They then returned inside and picked a wooden sword each.
"I saw you tried to avoid every strike from the enemy. Sure, you don't want to be hurt but sometimes you can't avoid getting hit."
"If I get hit, I'm dead. You know that right?"
"That is why we are going to spar a bit."
"I don't know how to even hold this thing! How do you suppose I'm going to protect myself against your-"
"Okay less talk more move. Here I come!"
Without even waiting Mattias to finish sentence Tsuyoshi rushed at him. He would mercilessly attack his arms, legs and head. He kept on hitting him for 5 minutes straight until Mattias fell down. He was panting and his wooden sword fell from his hand after the first couple of exchanges. Tsuyoshi talked and Mattias glared at him.
"I didn't know you didn't have any history with martial arts."
"Let me finish my sentence then!"
"Don't worry I'm joking. I just wanted to see your reflexes and reaction time. I also needed to see how you move and familiarize myself with you so I can prepare a suitable training routine. Now that I know of these things, let's start!"
"Let me rest first! Thanks to you I don't feel my arms and legs."
"Sure fine! But it is for only today."
Tsuyoshi swung his wooden sword for a while until Mattias was rested enough to move his limbs. They trained until it was night. Tsuyoshi was teaching Mattias about how to properly hold the sword and how to properly swing it. Basic stances and how to react in certain situations. For his easy-going nature and his always joking nature, Tsuyoshi was very strict and brutal when it came to training. He would yell at Mattias if he did something wrong and he would get physical if he failed at it several times over.
But even though he was like that, he was great at teaching. Mattias would learn everything thoroughly with his guidance. He was also very eager to learn this as he would need it for his own survival.
They trained for a little while after the sun set and had their meal. Mattias showed Tsuyoshi to a room and after closing his own door and sat on his bed, he opened the radio like he always did. But it was still fruitless as there was just silence.
After a sigh he proceeded to sleep. He woke up to the sounds of thunder. The clock was pointing at 8 am. It was chilly as it was still raining so he wore his hoodie. His whole body was aching because of the training yesterday and he had trouble getting up and walking.
When he managed to exit his room and walk downstairs, he saw Tsuyoshi was already awake and was training. When he saw Mattias Tsuyoshi smiled and spoke enthusiastically.
"Good morning bro! Ready for a morning workout?"
"Really? How do you do that because my whole body is burning in pain."
"I'm already used to it and you will be as well. You have to work your muscles now or else you will feel a lot stiffer tomorrow."
"Fine just let me drink some water first. I feel like I ate shit while I was sleeping."
"Haha! I was the same!"
After stretching his muscles Mattias joined Tsuyoshi in training. It was the continuation of yesterday. They went over the basic stances until Mattias could do them without thinking and went ahead to test his skills. When they went out to hunt zombies, they saw the weather got a lot worse.
The clouds were black and were illuminated from within by thunders. There was the occasional lightning strike and the wind was faster compared to yesterday. The rain got slower but was a lot denser. If someone was out for about an hour in this weather, they were getting sick for sure.
"Let's not stay too long out. If we get sick it will be hard to get better."
"It depends on your performance bro. If you kill fast, you'll get to go inside that sooner."
"So, you say you won't hunt?"
"No! Of course I'll hunt! But a lot lesser than you so I can keep my eye on you. As I want you to kill at least 20 zombies today."
"20? That'll take a while."
"Alone."
"Alone? Are you-"
"It's on you. Let's start!"
"Haah. This guy."
They went ahead and started hunting zombies. Tsuyoshi was already used to killing zombies so he made quick work on them. Mattias on the other hand was slightly nervous as this was his first time facing a zombie face to face.
His grip on his katana was firm and his gaze was locked on the slowly approaching zombie. He was using katana today because Tsuyoshi ordered him to. The techniques for kodachi and katana was different and they trained for katanas. So it was logical to use it.
Mattias was standing his ground, waiting until the zombie entered his action range. He was adjusting his breathing and was getting his heart ready. 
"Hah!"
He attacked at the zombie as soon as it was in range of his katana. He swung fast and katana hit its shoulder. Mattias tried to pull it back but it was stuck.
"What the fuck?"
The katana was stuck and this was making him nervous. He tried to pull the katana but was failing. The zombie was moving with each pull.
"Shit!"
He pushed it away when he saw this. But as he was still holding the katana the zombie didn't go far and stopped after a step back.
"Just kick it bro! It's stuck to the collar bone. If you kick it while pulling you'll have an easier time pulling it out."
Mattias tried what Tsuyoshi said and kicked the zombie while trying to pull his katana. And he really did pull it out this time. He staggered backwards and regained his balance after five steps and retook his stance, firmer this time.
"Let's do this!"
He charged at the zombie and struck at it. He hit its head this time and cleaved it in half. After a final low growl, zombie fell to the ground and lay motionless. Mattias was panting but from excitement this time.
He looked at Tsuyoshi and, while smiling, lifted his katana high and cheered. Tsuyoshi was also happy for him and reacted in turn. But their excitement was short lived as there were still zombies around and their cheering voices attracted them. They then nodded to each other and continued their work.
Their daily routine became light training in the morning, zombie hunting on the streets until after noon and heavy training until night. They also got the cars out of the road if there were one, searched them for valuable things and then just left them there. They were no mechanics so they didn't know what part would be useful for what and they didn't have back up containers to store the gasoline in them.
This kept on for a week until the streets in their 20-minute walk area was rid of zombies. They were currently resting in their home after their final hunt on the streets. They deemed it enough when they could walk for about 20 minutes straight on the main street. They also barricaded the roads with unused cars so that zombies couldn't wander in their safe zone.
"Now we can relax for a while, right?"
"There are still some houses we need to search. Our immediate surroundings are okay but we still didn't enter some houses on the next street and we haven't even touched the next street from that. So, we'll continue that for now."
"Haah fine bro. Let's just eat. I wanna sleep."
After they ate their meals, they each went to their respective rooms. Out of habit, Mattias opened the radio after he sat on his bed.
"*chuckle* Why am I even doing this now? There won't be any-"
But his words were cut in half as he heard someone speaking. His headphone was proving him wrong in real time as his eyes became blank.
"Greetings and salutations survivors! I hope you're doing well. Thank you for tuning in. I'm Z-Man and you're listening to 'Radio Survivor'!"

"Reach! Find the place I rest!
And wish from me what your hearts behest!"

Such were the words of the mysterious voice. After these words were uttered, great changes took place all around the world. In an instant, %60 of every living thing has perished. A part of them reduced to dust while the others turned into monsters.
The forced evolution that world goes through will open new windows for everybody while it also brings about their calamity. Among this, one soul will shine the most. In a desolate street, a zombie wandered around unconsciously.
His mouth was slightly parted with saliva dripping down his lips. A pair of terrifying red eyes glinted icily.
There was a small, abandoned supermarket not far from where he was. The glass door was splattered with brown blood stains, fallen shelves and packages of food scattered all over the floor could be faintly seen through the opened door.
Behind the door, a middle-aged zombie moved slowly. Judging from his clothes, he used to be a staff member there.
The zombie approached the supermarket slowly and as he brushed past the middle-aged zombie, he suddenly took out a cleaver, turned around, and chopped off the middle-aged zombie's head with all his might.
Fresh blood gushed out and the headless corpse instantly fell to the ground.
The strange zombie then grabbed a shopping bag from behind the sales counter and began to rapidly collect food from the supermarket…
"Haa… It sure is tiring…"
In a dimly lit house, Ling Mo's face was dripping with sweat as he looked at the bag full of goods and necessities with satisfaction.

However, he couldn't be too far from the zombie which saddened him.
Ling Mo felt like he was a zombie puppeteer, but the thread in his hands wasn't long enough and his technique lacked practice.
Despite this, he was rather satisfied with his powers since he could utilize zombies in order to live safely. He even named the zombie he controlled as the zombie puppet.
When controlling the zombie, Ling Mo faintly felt a sense of franticness which impacted him as he controlled it.
He couldn't tell whether this sensation was good or bad yet.
For the past few days, Ling Mo had learned quite a lot about the zombies' properties. What was different from the stereotypical zombie was that these zombies weren't undead, but were rather living humans infected by the virus.
Despite their bodies still being alive, their minds had completely turned monstrous. They attacked uninfected survivors and tore their flesh out. They were also strong, much stronger than regular humans.
This type of virus completely destroyed their intellect, took over their rational thinking, and turned them into slaughterers who were driven by their killing instinct.
To Ling Mo, these zombies were much more terrifying than the zombies he had seen in games and movies because they retained their five senses. Whether by sound or smell, anything could easily catch their attention.
"The sun's setting soon, let's go back for today."
This house wasn't safe and was just a temporary place for Ling Mo to stay while controlling his zombie puppet.
He shoved all the supplies collected today into his backpack, shook his aching head, and made the zombie puppet stand up.
Ling Mo stared at the zombie standing right in front of him and felt something strange.
Although he didn't emit a disgustingly rotten smell, the smell of blood was still exceptionally heavy. The virus made his face look pale without blood and his eyes shone red. Through his slightly parted lips, he could see strands of red flesh stuck on his teeth.
Needless to say, it must be the remains of the person he had devoured...
The zombie didn't look too bad. He was a teenager around seventeen or eighteen years old. However, his current condition made him look like a sinister devil.
"Come on, let's go…"

Although he had a zombie puppet to open up a path for him, it didn't mean that he was safe. Ling Mo held the sharp cleaver in his hands and followed behind the zombie puppet carefully.
He needed to cross a wide street from here to his temporary shelter. When he had come here in the morning, he had found some firecrackers and made some sound in the opposite direction to lure the majority of the zombies there. Even so, there were still some zombies wandering about on the street.
After he safely arrived at the crossroad, Ling Mo realized that trouble was coming.
There were two zombies blocking the crossing. He didn't know where they came from but their bodies were stained with fresh blood. One of them gnawed on an arm that he held in his hands.
In a city with a population of over ten million, survivors died for food supplies every single day. Death wasn't strange at all.
But when Ling Mo saw the remains of the arm, he still felt sad. Because he had special powers, he was better off than others. He would not let himself become these zombies' food due to negligence.
Ling Mo carefully controlled the zombie puppet and approached them carefully, raising the cleaver when he came close to one of them.
While the other zombie was distracted by the noise, Ling Mo dashed behind him with the blade in hand and stabbed the knife right in the back of his head.
Both of the zombies lost their lives at almost the exact same time. After pulling the knife out, Ling Mo kicked aside the dead body in front of him.
He didn't let any chance slip by where he could kill zombies himself. Although controlling zombies was useful, he had to be strong enough to protect himself.
Ling Mo felt a frantic sensation while he was killing the zombies. The moment he pulled the knife out, he even felt a sense of pleasure.
"The virus can't possibly spread through a spiritual connection… If that's the case I would've been infected and mutated a long time ago… If this isn't from the virus, what could it be?"
Ling Mo cared about these subtle changes very much but he didn't have any clues for the time being.
However, it was a good thing that he could kill zombies cleanly and that he was becoming more and more skilled.
Before the apocalypse, he was merely an ordinary person. His first time killing a zombie was extremely dangerous. Lingering fear haunted him and his mind stayed blank for a while afterwards.

With that finished, I pick up all the arrows and bolt on the ground before walking upstairs.
 
I look around the second floor and even check every room, but I don't see any zombies in the house except the first floor. Seeing there is no more threat in this house, I walk toward the veranda and look at the zombie wandering around the street. The zombie that is on the street is a level two and three zombies with few levels one to the side.
 
Seeing the location is perfect, I bought fifty planks from the shop. I also bought some nails, a hammer, and a saw.
