The woman's condition was terrible because it was filled with sharp weapon wounds and there was still broken glass in her hand ..

The woman's condition is very different from the ghosts boky has seen (Boky is one of the people who has a sixth sense)

Dia mencoba mengingat-ingat apa yang terjadi, "apakah itu hanyalah mimpi?" (fikir boky)..
Dia mencoba memegang lehernya, dan ternyata luka saat itu masih ada.. 
Boky pun langsung mencari laptop pada meja, mencoba menyalakannya..
kondisi laptopnya baik-baik saja, dia mencoba melihat history pada browser namun tidak menemukan jejak sebelumnya..
weird, boky bilang pada dirinya sendiri.. Boky kemudian mencari makanan di kulkas, diambilnya pudding dan botol air..
setelah makan dan minum, "itu cukup aneh, gue fikir  akan mati dan menyusul keluarga gue ke surga" boky bilang pada dirinya sendiri..

Boky ini memang hidup sendiri karena, orang tuanya terbunuh saat bekerja di salah satu pulau untuk pembukaan lahan..
Disana terjadi konflik antara dua suku sehingga ayah boky mencoba untuk melakukan mediasi..
Namun ada yang tidak terima dengan mediasi tersebut sehingga mereka menggunakan sihir hitam yang terlarang..
Hal ini tentunya sangat berengaruh pada kondisi kejiwaan boky..

akhirnya boky memutuskan untuk mengganjal pintu dengan meja menahan gagang pintu dengan linggis..
dia pun coba mengintip lewat jendela apa yang terjadi di balik pintu..
TAI!!! Apaan sih itu?! (Fikir Boky) sambil menutup mulutnya menahan keinginannya untuk teriak…

Yang dia lihat adalah wanita memakai baju putih rusak penuh dengan robekan..
Kondisi wanita tersebut pun mengerikan karena dipenuhi luka senjata tajam dan masih ada pecahan kaca di tangannya..
kepala wanita tersebut miring dengan gerakan badan dan kaki tidak beraturan..
Kondisi wanita tersebut sangat berbeda dengan hantu-hantu yang sudah pernah dilihat boky (Boky merupakan salah satu orang yang memiliki indera ke enam)
Melihat Wanita tersebut, muncullah satu kata pada fikiran boky, "Zombie!"

"Kejadian aneh tadi belum selesai, malah muncul lagi kejadian aneh yang baru, sebenarnya yang terjadi?" (fikir boky)
"tenang-tenang gue harus tetap tenang, sekarang bagaimana cara bunuhnya? Ini zombie gue tidak tahu cepat atau tidak gerakannya saat dia mengejar gue nanti, sebaiknya gue serang dari jarak jauh" (fikir boky) …
"Kayaknya di gudang masih banyak sisa bambu dan papan bekas renovasi, gue coba bikin bambu runcing dan ujungnya gue lakban pisau dapur" (fikir boky)..
dia pun segera menjalankan rencananya, dia langsung bergegas ke gudang mengambil bambu dan menyempurnakannya..
Setelah selesai kemudian dia kembali ke pintu masuk dan membuka sedikit celah yang cukup untuk menyerang zombie tersebut..

boky memulai hitung mundur dalam hatinya..3..2..1..  woooshh jleb!!!
Bambo itu pun berhasil menancap ke mata zombie hingga menembus kepalanya dengan sedikit bagian otak yang ikut keluar..
Muncullah cahaya dari tubuh zombie dan terbang ke kepala boky…
"WTF!!! " teriak Boky (--___--) 
zombie tersebut pun jatuh dan mengeluarkan banyak darah, tak sampai disitu..
boky pun memenggal leher zombie dengan pisau pendek nya , membelah kepalanya hingga 6 bagian,  menghancurkan jantung dan memotong tangan serta kaki zombie tersebut..

Arnold headed out of the exit to find that the whole sky was dark. On the top right corner of his right eye, he could see the time and date of today. "12:00pm." It was exactly midday. The sun that was supposed to be shining from above was completely covered by dark clouds, forcing Arnold to use his right eye's infrared imaging ability. The similar ability was used when he entered the cave a few days ago (it took a few days to fully reconstruct his body).
"It seems like it's gonna rain soon, I better find a place to hide." Arnold thought.
The exit he came out of was through climbing a shaft from underground. He had to move a manhole before being able to return to the surface again. When he came out of the shaft, he placed the manhole back to its original place, covering the shaft.
The place he was standing was made of asphalt. However, due to wear and tear from the weather and various other reasons, the pavement was uneven, with some of the asphault protruding out and some caving inwards. Weed grew on the protrusion of the asphalt, making the whole road seemed abandoned for a long time.
Arnold took a look around his surroundings. There were multiple skyscrapers nearby, all with broken windows. All of these skyscrapers were at least 20 stories tall, but they seemingly look the same -- completely barren, lacking in color and only concrete walls were left. Luckily, there seemed to be no zombies nearby.
Arnold ran quickly towards one of the buildings, making as little noise as he could. When he entered the building, he found a flight of stairs. He ran up the stairs for two whole stories before stopping at the third floor. Then, he headed towards the edge of the floor where the window originally stood and sat down, laying his back against the wall. He observed his surroundings while waiting for either the clouds to move away or for it to rain.
After a few minutes, it ended up raining. The rain was abnormally murky, with every droplet ranging from grey to black in color. Arnold moved further into the building to prevent any raindrop from hitting him. The rain was acidic, poisonous and radioactive. One can die in seconds if they were out and about in the rain.
While waiting for the rain to pass, Arnold reached inside his backpack and took out a nutrition bar and a bottle of water. He took a huge bite of the nutrition bar that was chocolate flavored and took a sip of the bottled water. By the time he finished eating, it stopped raining.
The sun shined brightly, completely warming up the whole area. Arnold immediately took out a t-shirt from his backpack. He opened the zipper of his pants and peed on the t-shirt. Then, he wrapped the t-shirt like a bandana and covered his mouth and nose with it. The putrid smell of urine completely filled his system. However, it was much better than the alternative.
Once the temperature increased, the rain water that was on the ground started evaporating. Arnold waited for another hour before running down the stairs and out to the uneven paved road. Then, he started running as fast as he could northwards, according to the map that was on the bottom right corner of his right eye.
After running for half an hour, he started losing his breath so he had to slow down. From what he could see, all of the skyscrapers were gone. What replaced the skyscrapers were houses that stood parallel to each other across several blocks. All the houses were dilapidated, making it almost impossible to live in. Arnold had no choice but to continue to walk. With his cautious nature, he did not dare to remove his urine-stained t-shirt yet, afraid that some of the poisonous steam might still be around.
Now that he entered what was originally the suburban area of a town, there were a lot more zombies than before. Most of the zombies were Level 5 zombies. These zombies were human-like, except for they bodies being rotten in and out. The rancid smell from their decaying bodies could travel a mile away. The zombies of this kind were weak and would not actively attack humans. Of course, if one walks close to them, these zombies would still attack. Therefore, if one wants to stay out of conflict, simply stay away from Level 5 zombies.
All the zombie cores that were in his old backpack were Level 5 zombie cores. Arnold still felt that it was a pity he could not retrieve the cores back, as he spent quite a lot of time collecting them.
After walking for another hour, Arnold finally removed the t-shirt from his mouth. He placed it back in the backpack. Suddenly, Arnold heard a scream coming from above. His face immediately turned ugly after tilted his head up. It was a mutated eagle!
The eagle seemed to be treating him as prey, flying towards him at lightning speed. When the eagle's beak was about to hit Arnold, he immediately dodged, making a barrel roll to the right. He then ran towards the nearest house for shelter. The eagle made a sharp go-around and started flying straight towards me again. Realizing that I couldn't make it, I decided to take a grenade from the side of my backpack and took out the pin. When the eagle opened its mouth wide and tried to eat me, I waited until the last second before throwing the grenade into its mouth and dodged. Unfortunately, the eagle still manage to tore some flesh away from him while he dodged. A second afterwards, there was a large *boom* sound and the eagle exploded into many pieces.
It was another inauspicious day for Arnold. The loud explosion startled the zombies. Along with the smell of blood, the zombies instictively ran towards the direction of the explosion. Arnold placed his left lumbar region. Blood was flowing from the large wound there. However, Arnold did not have the time to check on his wound. He endured the pain and immediately ran as fast as he can. While running, he reached his hand into the opening of the t-shirt created by the eagle's tear and took out his gun concealed within it. Then, he immediately turned off the safety switch and started firing at any zombies that headed towards his direction.
He shot every bullet with pinpoint accuracy, right in the middle of the forehead of every zombie. After firing ten times, he immediately removed the used magazine, letting it fall to the ground and took out a spare magazine. He shoved the magazine into the slot and started firing again.
After using up three of the magazines, he finally escaped the enclosing zombies. He had only 2 bullets left on the gun and one more spare magazine. As he pressed his wound, he headed inside an empty house. The house had several holes on the roof, allowing the sunlight to come in. The front door was completely gone, and the second floor seemed to have been ripped away. He sat on the ground with his back against the wall.
"Andy, how bad is my wound?" Arnold asked.
"Scanning. You have suffered a Class III splenic trauma, a Class II colon injury and Class III damage to your left kidney. Please see a doctor immediately."
"Well, that's not an option right now, is it?" Arnold said sarcastically. He started laughing, but instead he coughed out some blood out of his throat.
"Do you have some other method that could save me right now?" Arnold asked hopefully.
"Calculating... Survival is possible with the injection of 3 doses of stem cells. One on the damaged spleen, one on the colon and one on the left kidney respectively. Survival rate is 33%."
Arnold immediately reached into his backpack to fish for the box of stem cell syringes. He reached in, feeling for it. When he found the box, he took it out.
"Andy, I'm gonna need you to guide me through this, I have no idea where my organs are located."
Suddenly, his right eye darkened. Then, a 3D atlas of the anatomy of the human body appeared. The human looked completely identical to Arnold. There was even a large wound on the left lumbar region of the 3D human body, identical to Arnold as well. Then, Andy zoomed in on the wound.
The wound was animated, so it was not as bloody and gory as it was with Arnold's actual situation.
"Please take out a syringe. Move the syringe to the opening of the wound. Stop. Head inside for about 7cm. Stop. Turn right for 23 degrees. Stop. Head forwards for 2cm stopped. Please poke the syringe into the damaged tissue. Stop. Inject the stem cells into the damaged tissue."
Arnold followed the instructions of Andy promptly. He winced as the stem cells entered his damaged organ.
Afterwards, Arnold continued to follow Andy, injecting the stem cells into the other two organs. Then, Arnold asked, "What next?"
"We must now close the wound. Please apply an absorbable suture on the wound. Take out the emergency medical kit from the backpack."
Arnold reached inside and fished for a bit before taking the kit out, opening the lid of the medical kit.
"Please take out a packet of polydioxanone threads and the needle driver. Open the packet and grab the tip of the needle of the thread with the driver. However, leave the driver 5cm inwards from the tip to allow for penetration of the skin."
Arnold have no idea which surgical toll is which. Therefore, Andy placed images of each surgical tool with their names beside the 3D anatomical atlas of himself in his right eye.
"Use the tissue forceps and gently pinch the bottom left corner of the wound. Then, align the wound as much as you can." Andy magnified the picture of the forceps and highlighted the corner of the wound to prevent Arnold from making any mistakes.
"Place the needle on the bottom right side of the wound with the driver. Penetrate the wound at a 90 degree angle until the needle fully appears on the other side. Stop. Pull the needle and penetrate the needle throught the left side of the wound..."
The stitching continued. As Arnold was a complete newbie in such an ardous medical procedure, it took him half an hour before he finally closed his wound. He sighed in relief.
"That was hard." Arnold panted. "Now that the wound is closed, how come my survival rate is still 33%?"
"The percentage rate of fatal blood loss due to internal organ hemorrhage being faster than the accelerated healing of the organ due to the stem cell injection is 67%. Therefore, your survival now purely depends on the potency of the stem cells and the healing rate of your organs."
Arnold nodded. He started to feel very tired, but he had to maintain his vigilence since a zombie might come in at anytime. After a while, he started to feel dizzy and confused. His entire body felt weak.
"Warning, Master is now in Class III hemorrhagic shock, amount of blood lost: 1554 mL and counting. Survival rate of host dropped to 25%."

After I returned home from Hogwarts, I was forced to cuddle with Dora for 3 days. It wasn't bad cuddling with Dora, mostly because her assets grew, but also because I genuinely enjoyed her company.

I let Lilith eat the parka so that she could take its appearance. I only discovered that she could do that during Christmas when she ate my jearsy and took its place. 

Anyway, the fur hooded parka, aka Lilith, worked perfectly in sync with her black and white scheme that matched my hair. The blood red shirt made my eyes stand out even more.

This way, I can kick some ass while still looking fashionable, don't you think so Liz?

I quickly stuffed my bag with the survival gear and strapped on the weapons for quick access. A few minutes later, and I now looked like a professional zombie apocalypse survivor.

A gas mask appeared right in front of me and I quickly stuffed it in my bag. I looked myself over just to check if I had everything and when I was done, I grinned.

With renewed determination, I got to work. I took down the wiring of the mansion and rebuilt it to my liking. Then I bought an ark reactor and installed it. The lights were soon on and the next phase of my plan began.

I bought lab equipment from the Store and sorted it out. Then I bought some furniture, food, tools and other things that might come in handy. It took a while, but the mansion was now way better looking than before I appeared.

Finally, by using [All Knowledge], I received all notes and discoveries about CBI and infections.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at what I found. The notes were practically only focused on humans immune system to CBI. The scientists of this world are idiots, they didn't even think about an outside source to counter CBI.

"I'll be the first to find a cure to CBI! But first, I'll need a sample."

I quickly left the mansion and entered the snowy mountains.

"Liz, buy the highest level stealth skill." I said as I parkoured down the mountain by jumping from tree to tree.

I'm not gonna lie, it feels awesome moving so smoothly at high speeds from one place to another.

I activated the skill and started looking for zombies. A few minutes later, I saw a stray zombie feeding off a carcass. I grinned widely as I sneaked behind the zombie.

"Found you~" I said and stored the zombie in Inventory.

"I guess hunting a few more zombies won't hurt."

Luxion was a lonely 15 year old, who unfortunately died. Luckily for him, he received the opportunity to reincarnate with a few wishes. Unexpectedly, the catch was that he had to marry the daughter of the Origin Embodiment, Lady Fate herself.

Crissa Harris' POV

"Crissa, baba muna kami ni Lennon sa 4th floor ah? Maglilibot lang kami saglit." paalam ni Harriette. 

Tumango nalang ako. Makakatanggi pa ba ako? E samantalang nakaalis na silang dalawa ni Lennon bago pa ako makapagreact? Tsk. Kapag in love talaga oh.. Hahamakin ang lahat masunod lang ang gusto.

"Ako Crissa, dun sa 2nd floor at 3rd floor maglilibot. Trip kong magbasa ngayon e.." singit ni bestfriend Renzo na nag-iinat.

"Yung totoo, magbabasa ka ba talaga o hahanap ka lang ng sexy magazines?.." tanong ko na tinatatantya-tantya sya sa pamamagitan ng tingin.

Bigla naman syang ngumisi. 

"Parehas lang naman yun e. Hahanap ako ng sexy magazine para basahin.." yun nalang ang sinabi nya at saka kumaripas na ng takbo papunta sa hagdan.

Napailing nalang ako at napatawa. Hanggang sa panahon ba naman na ganito, may oras pa rin si bestfriend Renzo sa mga kahalayan nya. Tsk..

Hinarap ko naman yung lalaking nakaupo sa may tabi ko sa kanan.

"Ikaw Ty. Baka may gusto kang gawin? Okay lang naman akong mag-isa dito. Hindi naman kayang lumipad ng undead dito sa rooftop e.." biro ko.

"Hindi. Dito nalang ako. Sasamahan kita.." bulong nya. Kaya tumango nalang ako at ngumiti.

Medyo nasasanay na ako sa linya nyang yan na sasamahan kita.. Pero kahit ganon, hindi ko pa rin maiwasan na makaramdam ng abnormal na tibok sa dibdib ko. Hindi ko maintindihan e. Alien feeling talaga.. Hindi ko naman kayang sagutin mag-isa kung ano ba to at bakit ganito.. Haaayy..

Inilibot ko nalang yung tingin ko sa paligid. One stop shop ng university itong napuntahan namin. Sa 1st floor, mini grocery. Sa 2nd floor at 3rd floor naman, bookstore. At yung 4th floor, souvenir shop na exclusive items ng university ang tinda. Mga shirt, bags, keychains at kung anu-ano pa.

At ngayon nga, nandito kami ni Ty sa rooftop at nagsye-siesta. Kakatapos lang kasi naming kumain ng tanghalian. Sa grocery sa 1st floor kami kumuha ng pagkain at ini-reserve nalang namin yung nasa survival kit na hinanda ni Zinnia para sa amin. 

Sweet yan si Zinnia kahit hindi halata. Hindi nya kami kasama ni Christian pero inaalala nya pa rin kami. Patunay dyan yung mga notes na iniwan nya pati na rin itong survival kit na hinanda nya para sa amin. Kumpyansa rin talaga syang mabubuhay kaming kambal e.. Malaki ang tiwala nya samin dahil kapatid nya kami ..

Pero teka..

May bigla akong naalala. Gusto ko na sanang itanong kay Tyron yung tungkol doon kaya lang, bigla naman akong nakaramdam ng miss call ng kalikasan. Naiihi ako..

"E-eh Ty, wait lang ah? Iihi lang ako. Hehehe.." 

Mukhang nagulat sya sa biglaang pagsasalita ko. Lumingon kasi sya saglit sakin pero umiwas din agad.

"S-sige. Hindi naman kita pwedeng samahan kaya dyan ka nalang sa pinakamalapit na banyo magpunta.." sabi nya.

"Hehehe.. Oo. Sa 4th floor lang ako pupunta. Andun din naman sila Harriette e.. Sige. Bye!" tumakbo agad ako dun sa may hagdan pababa.

Natanaw ko pa sa souvenir shop yung loveteam pero I just mind my own monkey business at dumeretso na ako sa may banyo. Agad akong pumasok sa may pinakadulong cubicle at nagbawas. Nung matapos ako, mabilis din akong lumabas at binalikan ko ng tingin yung pintuan ng cubicle na pinasukan ko. May nakasulat kasi doon na dalawang letra.

Zi

Tinignan ko yung gitnang cubicle. May dalawang letra rin na nakasulat sa may pinto nun. Pero iba dun sa una.

Od

Ganon din sa pangatlo at last na cubicle na nasa bungad at katabi lang nung pinto ng banyo.

ZiOdMei?.. 

Ano naman yun? Pangalan ng fraternity? O pinagsamang pangalan ng couple? Pero imposible. Tatlong name to e. Ano yun, love triangle lang? Tsk.

Lumabas ako sa ladies washroom at dun naman ako sa gentlemen washroom pumasok. Don't get me wrong huh? Hindi ako nag-intrude dito para mamboso, manilip at manghalay. Mangangalap lang ako ng impormasyon dahil naiintriga talaga ko dun sa mga nakasulat sa pinto ng cubicles sa kabilang washroom. Nagbabakasakali lang akong may makikita ako dito.

Inuna kong tignan yung nasa pinakadulong cubicle. May nakasulat din. Apat na letra.

"BranIsaEri?.." inulit ko yung mga nabasa kong letra at mas lalo pa akong nagtaka at naguluhan. 

Ano ba talaga to? Is this some kind of a code? O palaisipan? Or random silly thing na pinipilit ko lang bigyan ng iba at mas malalim pang dahilan? Kahit wala naman talaga?..

Pero hindi. Malakas talaga ang kutob ko dito.. 

Lumabas na ako dun para tignan sila Lennon at Harriette sa souvenir shop. Pero sa ibang bagay napako ang atensyon ko. Doon kasi sa computer na nasa counter sa loob, may isang papel na nakatapal sa screen noon. At sa papel na yon, meron ding nakasulat..

Pumasok ako sa loob at dumeretso agad ako doon para kuhanin yung papel na iyon. Napatingin sakin sila Lennon at Harriette pero sinenyasan ko naman sila na ipagpatuloy lang nila yung moment nila at wag na nila akong pansinin.

Z.O.M.B.I.E. verus ZOMBIES

Ayan yung nakasulat doon sa papel. At mas lalo lang kumunot ang noo ko dahil doon.

Zombie kontra zombie? E bakit yung isang word na zombie, may letter S sa dulo? Edi plural yun? Ibig sabihin, marami? Maraming zombie? Tapos yung isang word naman na zombie, may tuldok pagkatapos ng bawat letra? May sinisimbolo ba yung bawat letra na yun? Like Z stands for zebra, O stands for octopus, M stands for monkey, etc.?

Hmm.. At posible rin kaya na, may kaugnayan to dun sa nakita ko na mga letrang nasa washroom?

Napangisi ako bigla. Mukhang alam ko na ang sagot sa palaisipan na ito.

"Harriette, ano nga uling name ng kuya mo?" tanong ko. Humarap naman sya sakin na halatang nagtataka ang itsura.

"Isaac. Bakit?.."

Hindi ko sinagot yung tanong nya at nagtanong pa uli ako ng panibago.

"Anong course nya?" 

"Criminology din. Katulad ni ate Zinnia.."

"Magkaibigan ba silang dalawa? Or magkaklase man lang?.." 

"H-hindi ko sure.. Wala naman syang nababanggit at hindi ko rin naman natatanong.." sagot ni Harriette na mas naguguluhan pa. Kaya bago pa sya makapagtanong uli, lumayas na ako doon bitbit yung papel na nakita ko.

Bumaba ako sa 3rd floor which is yung bookstore nga at naabutan ko dun si bestfriend Renzo na busyng-busy na nagbabasa. Ni hindi nya man lang ako napansin na pumasok kaya maingat akong lumapit sa kanya. Sinilip ko kung ano yung binabasa nya.

"When She's In Love With Your Bestfriend.." nabasa ko nang malakas yung title ng book kaya gulat na gulat syang humarap sakin. Nabasa ko pa sa labi nya na dapat magmumura sya pero di nya na itinuloy nung mapatingin sya sakin.

"Ano yang binabasa mo, bestfriend?.." pinilit kong agawin yun pero itinaas nya naman.

"E-eto ba?.. Wala to. Dinampot ko lang kasi nagandahan ako sa cover." itinapon nya sa kung saan yung libro at saka ginulo ang buhok ko. "I-ikaw ah? Ginulat mo ko! H-hehehe.." 

Hindi ko pinansin yung sinabi nya at sinamaan ko sya ng tingin. Hindi ko kasi nagustuhan yung sinabi nya e.

"Don't judge the book by it's cover, bestfriend! Tsk." tinalikuran ko na sya tapos dumampot agad ako ng papel at ballpen. Pagkatapos, lumayas na agad ako doon at umakyat pa-rooftop.

Kakatampo sya e! Huhuhu.. Bookworm ako kaya nasasaktan ako kapag nakakatagpo ako ng mga tao na mas pinapaburang basahin ang isang libro nang dahil lang sa maganda at eye-catching ang cover nito.. 

I'm not saying na lahat ng librong maganda ang cover, pangit ang laman. Pero sana man lang bigyan nila ng chance yung may mas simpleng cover dahil baka naman nag-uumapaw ang laman nun.. Huhuhu..

"Ang tagal mo namang umihi. 10 minutes." gulat akong napatingin sa tuktok ng hagdan. Nandoon si Tyron at nakasandig.

"Naorasan mo talaga ako?.." 

"Oo. Sabi mo kasi sandali ka lang e. Tsk." tinalikuran nya ako kaya dali-dali ko naman syang hinabol. Umupo sya uli sa inuupuan nya kanina kaya umupo nalang din ako sa pwesto ko.

Kinuha ko yung papel at ballpen at sinimulan kong i-jot down yung nabubuong conclusion ko. Napansin ko na sinisilip ni Ty yung ginagawa ko kaya mabilis ko namang iniwas at tinakpan. Wala pang isang minuto, natapos ko nang isulat yun. At napangisi nalang ako nang makita ko yung resulta.

Perfect..

Tumingin ako kay Tyron at napangisi ako. Bago ko sabihin sa kanya yung tungkol dito, may itatanong muna ako.

"Anong pangalan ng kuya mo Tyron? Saka anong course nya?.." 

Mukhang naguguluhan pa sya sa biglaang itinanong ko. Pero nung sinenyasan ko sya na magsalita na, nagsalita rin naman sya eventually.

"Brandon Matsumoto. Criminology sya and graduating na sya dapat." 

Mas lalong lumaki yung ngisi ko. Hindi ko na rin napigilan pang magsalita. Kinagat ko nang madiin yung labi ko bago ako nagsimula.

"Si Isaac Kobayashi na kuya ni Harriette at yung kuya mo naman na si Brandon, isa sila sa bumubuo sa grupo ni Zinnia." 

"W-what? How?.." mabagal syang tumingin sakin. Pero imbes na sagutin yung tanong nya, ipinakita ko nalang sa kanya yung isinulat ko sa papel.

Saglit nyang pinasadahan ng tingin iyon pero mas lalo lang kumunot ang noo nya.

"A-anong ibig sabihin nito?.." naguguluhan yung tono ng boses nya. Medyo naaliw akong pagmasdan yung mukha nya na ganon dahil para syang bata na naguguluhan sa homework nya. Hihihi..

Napabalik naman ako sa sarili ko nang tignan nya ako sa mata. Napilitan naman tuloy ako na magsalita na uli.

"H-hehehe. Take a closer look. The word zombie coincidentally stands for the member's names of Zinnia's group. Sila yung iba pang nakaligtas. How did I know? Nakita ko sa labas ng mga cubicle sa ladies washroom ang mga initials na yan. Yang mga naka-all caps. Zi-Od-Mei. Tapos sa washroom naman ng lalaki, Bran-Isa-Eri. So nabuo sa isip ko na baka natripan nilang isulat yung first 1-4 letters ng name nila doon mismo sa pinto ng cubicle na ginagamit nila sa araw-araw. Kung ano yung rason, di ko lang din alam. Nadagdagan pa yung kutob ko nang makita ko to doon sa souvenir shop." inabot ko kay Ty yung papel. "Z.O.M.B.I.E. versus ZOMBIES. Yung word na zombie na may tuldok after every letter, initials nilang anim yun. Zinnia, Od, Mei, Brandon, Isaac and Eri vs. Zombies. Ang galing nga talaga dahil eksakto yung initials nilang anim sa word na zombie." 

"And na-confirm ko lang talaga ng tuluyan nang malaman ko yung pangalan at course ng kuya mo at pati na rin ng kuya ni Harriette. Brandon at Isaac. Siguro magkakakilala silang tatlo kaya nagkasama na talaga sila? At hula ko rin, si Mei yung baby M na tinutukoy ni Zinnia na kamuntikan nang ma-rape nung anim na undead sa clinic.. Ewan ko lang kung sino yung Od at Eri. I don't have an idea who they are.." pagtatapos ko dun sa nabuong conclusion ko. 

Natahimik naman si Tyron at pinasadahan uli ng tingin yung mga papel na inabot ko. Hindi ko mabasa yung reaksyon nya dahil parang naging neutral. Kaya hindi ko alam kung tumpak ba talaga yung conclusion ko o may mali din. Pero maya-maya lang, nakita ko na syang umiling at ngumiti. Ginulo nya rin ang buhok ko at pinagtatapik ang ulo ko.

Gusto kong itanong kung bakit sya gumaganon. Pero sa iba na nabaling atensyon ko nang kuhanin nya yung isang bag na reward samin ni Zinnia. Kinuha nya rin yung dalawa pa at inilapag sa harap namin.

"Didn't you know that these bags is exclusive only for criminology students?" may kinuha sya doon sa loob ng bag at inabot sakin.

Isang dog tag. Na may naka engrave na Zinnia Harris.

"Sa loob ng bawat bag, may ganyan. Identity ng nagmamay-ari ng bawat bag." yung ibang bag naman ang binuksan nya. Nag-abot sya sakin ng dalawa pang dog tag kaya binasa ko yung nakasulat.

Tumingin ako ng eretso kay Tyron at hindi ko na naiwasan pang ngumiti ng sobrang lapad.

"So ibig sabihin nito.." 

"Magkakasama nga yung mga kapatid natin.. Tama lahat ng speculations mo." pagtutuloy nya sa gusto kong sabihin na mas ikinalapad pa ng ngiti ko.

Sino ba namang hindi matutuwa dito sa nadiskubre namin? Ang laking advantage nun na ang mga kasama ni Zinnia, kapatid ng dalawa pa naming kagrupo. Totoo ngang wala na kaming dapat pang alalahanin. Siguradong ligtas nga talaga sya. Idagdag pa yung fact na, kuya ni Tyron yung isa sa kasama nya. Bakit? Simple lang.

Siguro, kung gaano kalaki yung assurance na ligtas ako kapag kasama ko si Tyron, ganun din yung nararamdaman ni Zinnia kapag kasama nya si Brandon. I'm not sure what personality he has, but kung pagbabasehan yung nakikita namin dito kay Tyron, sigurado akong he is much more superior. 

Ewan ko. But something's telling me that he is really strong. Yung tipong sa sobrang lakas ng aura at personalidad na taglay nya, maba-bother ka..

Tumingin uli ako kay Tyron at bahagya ko syang sinapak sa balikat nya. Isinantabi ko na rin muna yung mga iniisip ko.

"Ikaw ah? Kunwari, wala ka pang alam kanina. Yun pala, may nadiskubre ka na rin." nakangusong sabi ko. Ngumisi naman sya at inayos na yung mga bag.

"I'm just testing kung magtutugma yung mga conclusion natin. And it turned out that, it does.."

Welcome sa panahon na kung saan makikipaglaban ka sa mga naglalakad na patay at mga kapwa mo buhay para lang makasurvive.

[Klamath, California 19 December 2020]

Two days have pass since the outbreak. The news says, the government has send military. But they're not in sight even from the first day. Children that usually play around the block now gone quite, as the neighborhood be more quite.

I sit on the chair, hands clasping each other on the dinning table. I'm staring the clean wooden table while wait for Emma. And after some minutes, Emma came from kitchen and bring 2 can food along with utensils.

"Here you go." Says Emma and give me one can and one spoon, and then sit on the other chair and eat her food.

"How you feel?" I suddenly ask and not eating yet.

"About what?" She ask back while keep eating.

"Everything." I reply and then take one spoonful of food. "Bwahh." I regret myself.

"Be careful, it still hot."

I take a tissue and wipe my mouth up. "You're not telling me in the first place."

"Sorry." She says and then pause for some second. "Hmm.. I feel...nothing? Killing some zombies and never thinking they are still human or not. But yeah, at first... I feel I can't do it, because I won't kill whoever is it."

"Yeah, it's common sense."

"You're right, common sense. Survival sense." Her body straighten up as if she remember something. "But what if they're doing the same, like...maybe they're still human but sees everybody as enemy? Who knows..."

I thinking her opinion. "What you say.. is make sense, but in other hand we still need to do self defense. Even if they're still human but they're a threat, then we have right to kill them. I'm not saying we can't use sit and talk if he's not infected yet."

She didn't say anything and just nod along the way. We continue our breakfast in silence, trying to enjoy the can food. After two of us finish, I'm cleaning the can that maybe useful later. In other hand, Emma connected with her laptop, searching for information through social media. Who knows it can be useful part in the middle of crisis? But obviously not to post some duck face or something like that.

Then I'm stopping my activity when I heard gunshot. I hear one, two and then countless ring of shot. I glance at Emma and she glance back at me. I'm walking to front window, while wipe my wet hands to my pants. I push the curtains off, untill I can see clearly outside.

There's one boy and one girl, two of them using varsity jacket, and I assume they're 14 years old. The girl with brown hair and pale skin is holding a handgun. In other hand, the boy with brown hair and pale skin is holding a broom without the head, so it's just the stick. Two of them is on the other side of street, fighting their way against zombies in their both side.

"Take your knife, but bring your shotgun. Don't use any bullet." I says to Emma as walking to the back door and grab my bat.

"Are we going to help them?" She's ready with her butterfly knife.

I'm not answering. But when I reach the back doorknob, I look at her and simply nod. After she knows what will happen, I open the back door and running to the teens.

I'm running faster than Emma, and reach the teenagers first. When I arrive, I can see the boy is in danger. The zombie is face to face with him, and the stick is the border. I'm not thinking twice and just give one powerful swing and make the head of the zombie crack.

"Th- thanks." The boy say with panic face and then try to control his breath.

In other hand, Emma is helping the girl. She thrust her knife to the zombie's head but it's not enough. Seeing this situation, the girl shot the zombie's head without any hesitation.

All of us gulping and breath heavily, but the quick break stop when more zombie roaring. I turn my back and see at least 4 zombies come closer.

"Should I?" Ask Emma.

"Not yet." I say and march to the nearest zombie. I focus my swing on the one zombie with blond hair. On my left, there's the boy helping me with his stick. Emma also taking the front position, and quickly slice the zombie's neck like if slicing pizza.

One wanderer against me is dead, also the one with Emma. But the boy seems hardly to kill even one of them, and just make his hand bruised because of the struggle. I can't see the girl, but I think she's injured or something that make her can't shoot or move.

"Step back, little boy." He do what I says while I take one big swing to the zombie.

"I'm not a little boy." Says the boy with annoyed sounds.

Again, I take full swing for this zombie but I clumsily miss his head. The zombie push ahead and hold my neck. I want to ask for help but everyone is injured, and Emma also busy with her foes.

I'm trying to push the zombie, but he just way more powerful than me, then he able make me knocked down. He's on top of me, holding my neck tightly, and so do I. This make my head feel dizzy, but the zombie just like non-human. Because when I'm choking his neck he feels nothing. My eyes start blurry and I feel weak. I heard someone shouting but I can barely hear it. And suddenly some shot fired and make the zombie dead.

The dead body falling against mine. I push the body away and roll myself. I catch some breath and coughing along the way. Emma suddenly come and give me support to stand.

"Dad! You okay?"

"I'm..cough.. I'm alright, Em." I says and look around while holding my neck. I can see the girl with her leg injured is sitting on the ground beside the boy, but she definitely hold no gun on her hands. I look at nearby house, until I found one guy with M16 on his hand.

"Adam, you're lucky I'm not missing the shot this time." Says my neighbor, Steve. He has fair skin, dark brown pompadour hair and stubble facial hair.

"Thanks man." I says as shake his hand, but still feel eerie from the coke. "I don't know we're going to meet again, and the time is not really good."

"Yeah it is." He says while let some chuckles out.

"But I really want to know, since when you can pull the trigger?" I ask him. He's a craftperson, guy who can be electrician, crafter, blacksmith and artist at the same time. But I never see him with guns.

"Pull the trigger is not hard thing, but aiming it is the hardest. Like I said, you're lucky I don't miss, or you're going to die. And if you ask, I got this gun when I loot a death soldier." He says as Emma get to the teenagers, with knife in pocket and shotgun sling on her back. "I heard she's practicing."

I look at where he glance, and it's locked to Emma. "Yeah, she's good one. Taught by soldier." I answer with grin in my face, and still trying to catch breath.

After checking the teenagers, Emma come back to me. "Gladys, the girl, is injured on the left lower leg, but not too bad. Gabriel, the boy, is bruised in the hand."

"Brother and sister?" I ask.

"Twins." Answer Emma.

"Okay, bring them to the house."

"Okay." She says and walking back to the teenagers.

"Hey, wait." Steve says to stop Emma. "Can we swap gun?" He says and showing his M16.

Emma confused about what he just say.

"You know, I can't fire gun properly, but shotgun has more chance to hit from close range. So I think it's better to swap our gun." He explain.

"Oh...Okay." She says and then give the Spas-12 to Steve, and Steve give the M16. After gun and ammo swap, she continue her way to the teenagers.

"I think it's my cue, I got patient." I say as some I heard grunt from my left. I'm turning and...no, another zombie.

"And that's my cue, I'm going to clean your escape way from behind." He says and then distract the zombies.

In the other hand, I make my way to my house along with Emma, Gabriel and Gladys. Before entering my back yard, I turn around and give thumbs up to Steve and he give the same. I take my way to the back yard, tailing the teenagers with my bat in my hands. When we enter safely, I'm locking the door quickly.

I make my way to the living room, where the other have gather. "Thank you mister...?" Gladys says.

"Charlemonth, Adam Charlemonth." I reply as put my bat on the table, while Emma coming from my room with my first aid kit bag. "I'm going to fix you all up." I says as opening the bag.

"Wait..are you a Doctor?" Ask Gabriel with cautious sounds.

"Well...I'm surgeon, but I've practice first aid since highschool." Answer me as put some bandage and an antiseptic on the cofeetable. "Emma, can you get me some ice, water and washlap?"

"Of course." She reply and goes to the kitchen without hesitation.

While I'm waiting for Emma, I'm inspecting Gladys that sitting on my couch beside Gabriel. She looks around my house innocently. "Is this your house?" Ask her.

"Of course it is, dumbass." Says Gabriel.

I'm sitting on the floor while also looking around. "This is my house." I reply. "Well...I'm not born here for sure, I born and raised until 4 in London, United Kingdom. But when I start kindergarten, I'm moving to America, where my father live."

"Ow..kay." Says Gladys.

From the kitchen, Emma comes to the living room with ice in a bag, water in a bowl and washlap inside it. She put all the stuff on the coffeetable.

I take the wet washlap from the bowl, and start cleaning Gladys's wound. "Can you take care of Gabriel?" I ask Emma. "Just like I've told you."

"I remember everything you teach, Dad." Says Emma sarcastically.

I clean the opened wound of Gladys, and she little bit groan in pain. "Wait....did you actually parents of Emma?" Suddenly Gabriel ask when Emma put ice wrapped by clothes to his bruised hand.

Emma chuckles when she heard that, but still continue her works. "It is, Gabriel. What did you think we was?" She says.

"You know, husband and wife?" Reply Gabriel.

"So you think Mr. Charlemonth is..." Says Gladys but stop in the middle. "Nevermind."

"You want to say pedophile?" I ask back and make Emma and I laughing. "It's okay if you want to say that, but that just so wrong." I continue as chuckling.

"No, I mean, you two live together, like...without anybody else." Explain Gabriel.

Our laugh and chuckles suddenly quite. I glance at Emma and she glance back. "There's some incident back in the days." I referring to Emma's mother, my wife. I put the washlap back to the bowl, and stop my activities. "But yeah, there's nothing to do." I shrug before take the antiseptic, and start pouring it gently to her wound.

"Ahh!" Gladys groaning in pain and make me stop pouring. "Sorry, it's just really painful." I nod and start pouring again little farther from her wound.

I look at Emma and she already wrapped the bruised by some cloth. She stand and dusting her pants. "By the way, where you two live?" Ask Emma as she cleaning the unused stuff.

"We're live not far from here with Rachel, our aunt." Explain Gabriel right when I put the antiseptic down.

"You right! Gabriel, try to call aunty, she maybe worried about us." Says Gladys.

"Okay." He reply while rolling his eyes, and grab a phone from his pocket.

I take the bandage and then wrap Gladys's leg. "You're good to go." I say and then back to my feet.

"She's not answering." Says Gabriel.

"Darn it." Curse Ela. "I think we need to back now, Gabriel."

"Wait, you guys actually want to go outside? It's too dangerous." Says Emma.

"Yeah she's right, maybe you just need to call her again, and wait." I says as put the antiseptic back to the first aid kit.

"No sir, we're just going to slow you down." Says Gladys while trying to stand and walk with fixed leg.

"Maybe it just you." Protest Gabriel.

"Shut up, Gab." Reply Gladys. "Sorry sir, we're going to leave now." She continue and then get to the back door with their weapon in hands.

"Alright, take care guys." Says Emma.

Two of them just simply nod and then twist the doorknob and move to the outside world. I put my first aid kit back to it's place. I take a sit on my sofa and then look at my wristwatch. It says 0837 am; almost 1 hour after breakfast. Which is long enough till dinner time. I'm walking to the front window when Emma playing with her laptop.

I look outside. There's some wanderer fighting with some people in other end of street. Without that, the street is almost clear and quite. And there's Gabriel and Gladys walking cautiously. I'm lucky to live in less crowded population. If I'm living in downtown, maybe I'm just gonna be a dead body lying on the street. Or maybe I'm one of them. Or maybe I'm just like now, hiding from the creatures. No one knew. Except god. And whoever did this.

First thing there's a freaking zombie apocalypse,then I have video game powers and now there is a freakin ninja.How the hell did my life turned from ordinary to extraordinary?.He threw his shurikens at me,I quickly drew out my pistol and shot them down using Quickshot.He came at me and started to attack me with his sword,I started to counter his attacks with my knife.By the looks of his movement I could tell he is a master in Ninjutsu and Kenjutsu by looking at the way he was swinging his katana sword and delivering his kicks.He backed away and drew out his other sword.I sheath my knife and draw out my own sword and we both started to fight each other.We both delivered a few slashes on each others bodies,then he delivered a low sweep kick and put me down on the ground and tried to stab me with his swords I rolled in order to avoid the attack.As he charged at me I jumped and delivered a strong blow to his face with my sword,he avoid it but my sword tore of his mask.I looked at his face and found something very unexpecting.
"You're a girl"I said in surprise.She had black eyes and hair,a pretty face like those asian celebrities even though she wasn't wearing any makeup.She looked at the mask that was torn up,she pulled out something from her pocket,it was a smoke bomb she used it and disappeared.
"Wow!she just disappeared like a ninja,that was so cool"
I don't know what just happened I fought a cute female ninja in a zombie apocalypse.Now this was something very unusual but freakin awesome.I drove back to the hotel.I was covered in cuts so I was feeling a pain.I pulled out a few extra vehicles in the parking lot from my inventory and went to my apartment carrying my bags, I halted my steps when my eyes percieved the sight in front of me.
"Freeze! Don't move.", she said firmly having the gun steadily pointed at me.
"Jean it's me."
"Niam?" she asked with tone laced with surprise as she lowered her gun.
"Yeah it's me. Did I startle you?"
"Oh yeah. Sorry I couldn't recognize you, you look different, a good kind of difference."
"I know right! I just got this and yeah I also brought some clothes for you".
She came to grab the bag and saw the cut on my chest
"Whoa!how did you get that?"
"I got slashed by a ninja"
She started to laugh at me "Hahaha....you got slashed by a ninja..hahaha..."
I stared at her seriously,she stopped and said "Seriously?"
"Yes!it was a real ninja with a mask,martial arts moves and shurikens."
"Okay sounds a bit.."
"Odd right first there's zombies and now there's ninjas whats next a flying pig or a robot?"
"You want me to help you out with that?"
"Sure!Let me go and get changed"I went in my room took off my clothes and came wearing my shorts.
"Hey Niam do you where is the....Whoa!"
Her eyes widened like a deer caught in headlights as she stared at me with her mouth agape.
"Where's what?", I asked not understanding why she froze.
"Oh umm, the medical kit I mean", she muttered as her gaze lowered when I noticed a splash of pink hue on her cheeks.
"Oh there in that cabinet"I pointed my finger at the cabinet and sat down on my chair.
She came and sat next to me.She started helping me with my cuts.
"Say you used to hit the gym"
"Yeah I used to do MMA at my school,why you ask?"
"Well your is seriously in good shape,I mean I have never seen muscles like these"
"My body has only 3% body fat and I worked out 6 hours a day"
"I can see the results,don't mind me asking but whats with all these scars?"she said while looking at the scars on my body.
"I got them from training?"
"What kind of training?"
"Survival and Martial arts training that I used to do with my Master and Grandfather,they were a little rough with me".
"Yeah!Sure!A little rough.What kind of little roughness leaves a person with this many scars?"
"The type that's leads a person to become a survival expert,master in martial arts,expert with firearms,and really good in climbing and parkour."i said that and she was giving me a serious look.
"look the training might have been rough but Jean look at me ,what do you think I am now?"
"You're a bit tired and you need some rest"
"Fine thanks for the help"I got up and went towards my room.
"Hey Niam!Let me say this you're amazing okay I never met someone like you."
"Thank you Jean "I said and went to my room while controlling my smile,i always loved whenever someone praised me for something.I put on my shirt and went to the terrace to get some air with a coffee mug in my hand.I stood there for a while, I was going inside until I felt someone was behind me.I looked back and quickly got into fighting stance "Came here to finish the job" I said to the ninja girl who was standing right in front of me.
