HUMAN: Dared to run after sucking my blood huh!!  You have guts!! (−_−＃)

ZOMBIE: Huh, when did I do that? (･･;)

What is this uncle taking about?

HUMAN: You little brat, I had been searching for you for so long now! After   marking me, you doesn't want to take responsibility...

ZOMBIE: Responsibility?? I am a kid uncle... _φ(･_･)

HUMAN: UNCLE!!!  Fine, since you doesn't want to then I 'll make you take responsibility for marking me!!! (-_-)zz

ZOMBIE: Wai....wait.. can we talk about this uncle...(⊙﹏⊙) 

HUMAN: (´ー｀)

ZOMBIE: (o´〰`o)♡*✲ﾟ*｡ Help'!!!

The pillar made of mud looked pretty solid and it sped towards the upcoming enemies like a missile.
The enemies were two mutated zombies, one had a buffed-up body and was 8ft in height making him almost a giant. The other mutated zombie had 6 large arms coming out of his back which made him look like a human spider with arms instead of legs.
The mud pillar reached the mutated zombies and was almost about to hit the 8ft zombie on the head suddenly the huge zombie let out a punch at the incoming pillar.
*Boom
A booming sound came as its fit crashed onto the pillar causing it to shatter on impact causing surprisingly sharp pieces of mud to scatter around. The zombie on the other hand was blasted back as it was flung back in the air due to the impact.
The zombie finally landed back on the ground tens of meters behind its original standing spot, its legs left deep trenches on the ground as they diverted the force of the impact.
The other mutated zombie did not sit still, by the time the 8ft zombie had landed on the ground it had reached Jason and it pounced on him with the arms on his back attacking Jason from all sides with its razor-sharp nails.
"You handle the huge one I'll deal with this human spider," Jason said lightly as he sidestepped to the left dogging most of the zombie's arms, only two arms were able to reach him, but he swung his sword diagonally diverting their attack.
He was still sent skidding back from the force behind the attack as a screeching sound came from the collision of the zombie's nails and his sword.
This mutated zombie was quite powerful and each of its arms could topple a mid-sized car easily.
"With so many arms and each arm having such power, he's the best sparring partner I can have" Jason had a smile on his face as he dashed at the zombie aiming at its chest as he thrust his sword at it.
The zombie quickly responded with a punch aimed at his head and its other arms followed with a grabbing motion at his body hoping to crush him like a can.
Jason slightly changed his posture as he ducked the incoming arms and closed in on the zombie's body, he was too close to try piercing its chest so he used his knee to smash him in its groin sending the zombie crashing backwards.
The zombie gave a great howl as it screamed in pain and steadied its body mid-air and rushed at him with fists aiming at him with anger in his eyes.
"So, it still is the most painful spot," Jason said with a smirk on his face as he dogged the incoming fists. He knew the power behind them, clashing with them head-on would send him flying.
*Boom
A booming sound came from afar causing Jason to look at where Cronos was fighting the giant zombie. The zombie had been split into two from the middle and Cronos was standing behind beside its corps as a wide creator surrounded them. Jason was astonished by how fast Cronos had killed the zombie. That zombie had to be at least as strong as the one he was facing right now.
A screeching sound came as Jason used his sword to divert the incoming nails at him.
"Let's keep practising," Jason said lightly as he kept clashing with the zombie always dogging or using his sword to divert its attacks. He did not directly attack the zombie as he wanted to use it to train his sword and movement skills.
Cronos soon came back, and he stood silently and looked at the fight from afar. He could see that Jason was training himself, so he just watched and did not come up to help.
After almost 15 minutes of fighting Jason could divert the zombie's attack without being pushed back and he was starting to deep wounds all over the zombie's body as he started using his sword to slash at him occasionally.
"It's enough for now," Jason muttered under his breath as he could feel that he had gained a complete understanding of his current strength and he had also gained quite a lot of experience in his sword skills causing them to gain a level.
Jason exerted his full strength for the first time in his fight with this zombie and he slashed with his sword several times at the zombie causing his arms to be cut off from the joints. In the end, the zombie was left with no arm and Jason ended the fight after beheading the zombie.
Jason felt a distinct stream of mana coming from the zombie corpse. This was the 5% mana he would get after each kill using a sword, it was a passive ability of against the heavens sword art. He had not felt this 5% mana from the normal zombies he killed before because they had a minuscule amount of mana. Only mutated zombies and other evolved beings had mana inside them.
Jason checked the skill level of his against the heavens sword art and indeed it had gained another level pushing it to level 4.
He could feel that the 5% mana stealing ability of this sword art would be a great boon for him in the future.
"let's go back to the base, we'll be leaving the base early in the morning. But first I have a mission for you to do in the trading area."
Jason said as he picked up the mana bead left by the zombie. He asked Cronos to follow him back to the base as he explained to him his plan which might enable him to have a stable stream of coins in the future.

Humans with the best genes supposedly became mindless zombies in a single second all due to failed evolution. 

Zombies evolved from level 1 to 2 on the first day of the Apocalypse.

Animals evolved to become intelligent and started a war against humans for oppressing them for ages.

June, 26th 2025
I look at the school in front of me, "Long time no see." I say to the zombified principal in the office. I put my eyepatch on my scarred eye. "I might get detention for this but, it's the end of the world." I pull out my trusty bat. Home run, I run to the front door and it doesn't budge. I sigh and kick the door open. The school was filled with goo stench and no zombies. I close the door behind me and it is surprisingly dark. I take out my flashlight and shine it around. I see the tank zombie on the second floor stairs. I back out through the school doors, "Uh oh." I turn and sprint. The zombie tank jumps from on top of the school roof and runs at me, I stop in my tracks. I quickly turn around video game style and Home Run uppercuts the zombie in the jaw. I wind Home Run back up for another swing and… BASH! It hits the zombie head on.
 I run to the yard tree and climb up. I then jump out of the tree and smash Home Run on its head. Home Run's tip breaks and the zombie wacks me across the dead overgrown grass. I look at my bat, broken, which means it just got upgraded! Now I'll name it Zombie Slayer. I get up and run to the zombie tank. I jump as high as I can and stab my bat Zombie Slayer into its back. It goes nuts and starts running around trying to get me off, but I just grip tighter. Zombie Slayer comes loose and drags across its body. It leaves a gigantic cut, I then grab the edges of the cut and try to open them, I strain, "How's this zombie freak!?" I take out The Zombie Slayer and I jam it's back. The zombie yells and shrieks. I turn The Zombie Slayer and it kills the zombie. I put The Zombie Slayer into its holster and walked back inside the school. I go to the generator and turn on the power, I then walk back up to the second floor to go to the principal's office. I get there and pull out my bat, I kick the door open and stab it into the principal's head. I rip it out and zombie blood goes everywhere except the chair. I dump the body off of the chair and carry it out of the school. "Oh Anthony is gonna love this!" I walk rolling the chair behind me like a garbage can, I slowly look around to find the comic book store, I plug in my earbuds again and listen to some tunes. I slowly get to the comic book store, I get into the base and I see Anthony.

When a full blown zombie apocalypse breaks out, Friends Anthony and Trevor have to fight monsters and zombies of all shapes and sizes. will they survive the apocalypse? or will they die trying?

While Lin Qiao was feeling that the zombie was too clean to be killed, the zombie rushed out of the room swiftly at Xiao Licheng. The others saw it show up before their eyes within a blink, then fall to the ground again two meters away from Xiao Licheng.
They looked at the zombie that was lying face down on the floor with complicated expressions.
"He runs fast, but why did he fall? I can't understand…" Xiao Licheng murmured to himself.
The zombie was coming at him clearly, but he had no sense of crisis at all. He still had a mood to wonder how the zombie fell to the ground. He sensed no intent of killing from the zombie at all, so he didn't even keep vigilance against it.
Lin Qiao walked over from behind the zombie and grasped the back of his collar, stopping him from charging at Xiao Licheng again.
"Hrrrr…" The zombie swung his arms forward and raised a foot to take a step forward, but then turned back confusedly, as he found that he was disabled from moving. 
No one was behind him. So, what had clasped him?
The zombie clearly felt that something was holding the back of his collar, so it reached both hands backward and caught a hand. He turned around again, but still saw nothing.
The confused zombie leader tried very hard to look back around.
While curiously observing the zombie who was twisting his body from side to side, Yun Meng said with confusion, "How did this guy hide from us? I didn't sense his presence before, but he suddenly showed up." 
Then, she turned to Xiao Licheng and laughed, "I think he likes you. Maybe he was into guys before he died."
The others understood that she was trying to say that the zombie might be gay when he was alive.
Holding the zombie, Lin Qiao read his mind. 'Zombies taste bad. Can't eat the high-leveled humans. Only this one is weaker. I should be able to defeat him, so I should be able to eat him.'
The zombie wasn't scared at all. He was really not scared of the ones on the scene who were much more powerful than himself. Why?
Lin Qiao stared at the zombie, who was still struggling, without knowing what was happening.
Zero blood scent could be sensed from him. As a level-five zombie, it should be very easy for him to hunt human beings, yet he carried no scent of blood. However, he charged straight at Xiao Licheng just now. Why?
Abruptly, Lin Qiao let the zombie go. She would like to see if he would really attack Xiao Licheng.
Once Lin Qiao relaxed her grip, the zombie turned and thudded against the floor in front of the others for the third time.
"What a silly zombie!" Xiao Licheng said that at first, then continued, "Whoa! Miss. Lu, why did you let him go!"
He already knew that Lin Qiao was with the team in her invisible state, so he wasn't surprised just now.
As Xiao Licheng made the complaint and realized what had happened, the zombie had already sprung up from the ground and pounced on him. In panic, Xiao Licheng quickly stepped back and turned to dodge.
Thud! So, the zombie fell to the ground once again.
'He has never killed or eaten anyone,' said Lin Qiao to Yun Meng.
Yun Meng told that to the other, "Chief said that this zombie has never killed or eaten anyone. No wonder I haven't been sensing any blood scent and hostility from him."
"Don't tell me that he isn't trying to eat me but only play with me," Xiao Licheng looked at the zombie that had struggled up from the ground again. He stepped backward for a few meters and then said to Yun Meng grumpily.
Yun Meng laughed, "I'm not sure about that. But, Chief said that this zombie is really simple-minded, and he really wants to eat you. We just don't know why he's so silly! Haha, it's the first time we have seen a zombie like this. He's like Pesticide and Xiao-xiao."
"Can I beat him?" While moving backward, Xiao Licheng looked at the zombie who was still approaching him and said expressionlessly. The two high-leveled zombies on the scene didn't seem to do anything to the silly zombie. Xiao Licheng wasn't hoping for them to help either. They just wanted to watch a show.
"Yeah, as long as you don't kill him," Yun Meng nodded with a grin.
Lin Qiao folded her and leaned against the guardrail at the edge of the roof. While watching the zombie chase the man on the roof, she had also been paying attention to the huge pit two-hundred meters away.
After getting Yun Meng's permission, Xiao Licheng instantly clenched his fists and turned his hands into stones. He abruptly stopped running, but turned and punched the zombie behind him.
The zombie suffered a heavy punch right on the face, so he burst in screams and made a few steps backward. Then, he covered his face with a hand and quickly turned around before running away while howling.
He actually ran away!
The others saw the zombie swiftly run to the edge of the roof and fall to the ground once again before climbing onto the roof. But, he soon sprung back up, then leaped off the building and disappeared.
Xiao Licheng was a little dumbfounded as he turned to the others and said bewilderedly, "I only punched him, right?"
He didn't launch any destructive move, did he?
Wu Chengyue and Yun Meng nodded together.
Lin Qiao covered her mouth with a hand as she couldn't stop laughing. As a pregnant zombie, she shouldn't get too emotional. Otherwise, she would have laughed really loud.
Wu Chengyue also wore a mysterious smile. It was too dark for the others to see the look on his face clearly though. "That was an interesting zombie. He's funny."
He showed up suddenly and left suddenly as well.
"What a strange zombie!" said Xiao Licheng.
Yun Meng walked to where the zombie jumped from, then glanced down and said, "He has disappeared."
His vibe had disappeared, and she couldn't sense him anymore.
Lin Qiao had found out about that too. The zombie jumped off the building and left her sight, then his presence and vibe both vanished into thin air.
Wu Chengyue and Xiao Licheng walked over and looked down as well. The zombie's vibe was really gone. It was reasonable though; not even Yun Meng could sense the zombie, so how could they possibly sense him?
The zombie was good at hiding. It was able to show up and disappear suddenly without letting others feel anything in advance. His way of showing up and behavior was weird though…


Lin Qiao remembers nothing from the past five years since the post-apocalyptic era began. She wakes up only to find herself having become a newborn, superpowered zombie, in a body that used to belong to an evil and notorious woman!

Having kidnapped a girl and raped her father, the previous host met her demise at the very hands of the conspiracies she courted all her life, leaving Lin Qiao no choice but to deal with the consequences while trying to figure out her own past and the fate of her loved ones. 

As for the little girl’s father, can’t he just have a decent fight? He’s a human being, but why is he biting a zombie? She’s the zombie! She’s the one who’s supposed to bite! 

A scientist was making antidepressant using an a fungus called ophiocordyceps unilateralis it was a type of fungus that would take over a carpenter ants mind and slowly drain the life out of there body.while making this medicine she accidentally spilled a strengthening chemical in the mix. Unknowing of her mistake she got a few people to test her pills they seemed to have worked but a couple days later the pills would have turned them into "zombies" or the undead. Her now realizing of her mistake called for all the pills to be sent back but it was too late people had already bought and taken the pills unknowing of who exactly bought and took the pills all they could do was wait. A few days later the scientists would here about " a zombie outbreak" on the news as her tv suddenly shut off. She would walk outside to see the world she knew and loved in ruins she knew of her mistake and couldn't bear to leave the house and stayed cooped up in her room so she never knew or heard any of this happening. After seeing her world in ruins she thought to herself " maybe it's just my city". She searched up on her phone " zombie outbreak" but nothing had shown up. She would then sigh in relief as she exclaimed " I have to find out if they sent help" so she would go to the border of her city and see it was blocked off. Her knowing that they are trying to keep the virus from spreading she didn't try and get past the barrier she would instead try and sneak back home until she accidentally knocked down a glass vase shattering it. zombies would then rush to her as she would run for her life until she came across a " odd " zombie it wasn't eating anybody and it was sitting down instead of running around looking for food. She would the walk to it unknowing of its origin " as the zombie turned around and tried to bite her. This zombie wasn't like the other zombies it was intelligent so she tried to communicate with it. The zombie would ignore her signs and again sit back down knowing that she had already fell for his trick. The lady would sneak behind the zombie and take off some of its skin as she ran away. Instead of going home she'd go to her lab to run some test as she discovered that the virus was transmitted through saliva. As she was in her lab a singular zombie would sneak out of the barrer unnoticed and affect another person as this continued and this epidemic slowly started to become a pandemic. As the virus spread worldwide the scientists had discovered two things one was this virus could not be stopped by normal means and two was she had a immunity to the virus and that there had to be more like her. She would then walk out of her lab after hours of doing research and fly up into the air as she black out. She would wake up to a zombie carrying her in a lard cage. She would look closer at the zombie as she would realize it was the same zombie she took the skin sample from. She would then start to quietly ask questions trying not to alert other zombies as the zombie would look at her in a sorta annoyed manner. The zombie would set the cage down and write in the dirt " I'm not setting you free you're the only clean human I can find". She looked at the writing in confusion thinking to herself " I knew this zombie was smarter than the average zombie but I didn't think he could communicate".  The zombie would walk away to find firewood which was a bad idea. The scientists would then break out of the cage and run back to her apartment and grab a weapon. She would then go back outside to find food and supplies so she could survive in this zombie apocalypse. She would go back home to see a unexpected guess waiting at her door. She would see the " intelligent zombie" standing at her door before she got any closer she examined the zombie. She noticed that this zombie wasn't cut bruised or scraped anywhere so she was wondering how he died. The zombie would look at the girl as he lashed out at her and attacked her eating her on the spot. The zombie would then walk inside her apartment and lay in the bed as he " fell asleep". The zombie would get up in the morning as he walked to her bathroom and see that he wasn't a zombie anymore. ( the scientists blood was the cure) he'd stand there in confusion as he passed out and wake up later hungry.

What happens when a unordinary zombie eats the cure for race find out by reading “ the intelligent zombie”

Long Yu immediately turned around to face whatever danger that was behind him.

He was shocked when he saw that it was the same zombie, that ate the poor woman's face off. However, it seems slightly different from previously. Its eyes looked even redder than before, and its fingernails were a lot longer and sharper.

What was even more surprising to him, was that, it was now less than a meter away from him.

'How did it get so close to me? I didn't even hear it!'

Despite Long Yu's light banter with Xixi, he had been staying vigilant the whole time. It was impossible for him not to notice a zombie's presence behind him.

The only explanation was that, the zombie had been intentionally hiding somewhere nearby before he got here.

"You sneaky bastard!" Long Yu whipped out a hand gun and pointed it at the approaching zombie. 

He had not used his gun previously, as the gunshot would have attracted other zombies. However, now that he was at his car, he could escape at anytime, once he dealt with this zombie.

With him being so close to it, hitting it in the head wouldn't be a problem. 

*Click* *Click* *Click*

Long Yu pulled the trigger multiple times, but no bullet came out.

'Sh*t! I forgot to load the magazine back in,' he cursed in his mind.

'No time to reload!' the gun in his hand vanished, before being replaced with a blade.

As the zombie launched itself towards him, Long Yu sent a front kick with his right leg, at its belly, hoping to gain some distance.

*Bam*

'What the hell… How is its body so hard!?' Long Yu winced from the impact.

Although the kick sounded loud, the zombie didn't seem phased. It merely made it stagger for a few seconds. 

Instead, Long Yu was the one who felt the pain. He had to endure the backlash of the impact, that was now vibrating up his foot.

Seeing the zombie trying to regain its footing, Long Yu quickly sent a downwards slash at its head. However, he misjudged the distance when he took a step forward. 

Due to the limitation of his left leg's movement, his step fell a bit short, hence affecting his slash.

The top part of the blade sliced at the area near the zombie's forehead, causing blood to splatter. 

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough force in the attack to crack open its skull as well.

The zombie roared in anger as it swiped at Long Yu. 

Luckily, he had already let go of the blade and pulled back his hand, when he sensed the stiffness in the blade.

If he had tried to pull it out from the zombie's forehead, that swipe would have surely hit his arm.

Long Yu started to feel a little dizzy from the adrenaline rush. His heartbeat was increasing by the moment.

He had only participated in a few scuffles back when he was still in his hometown.

This was the first time he had ever encountered such a battle, not to mention that, the other party was a man-eating zombie that was unafraid of death.

He knew if he wanted to survive doomsday, he would have to deal with many situations like this in the future.

During the battle, there was almost no room for Long Yu to breathe. He pulled out another blade from the system storage and readied himself.

The zombie, as if responding to his stance, flashed its disgusting sharp nails and snarled.

It rushed at Long Yu, hurling its entire body at him. It wanted to pin him down and devour him. Although it was a predictable move, it was deadly nonetheless.

Long Yu side stepped just in time, and slashed at the landing figure. A deep bloody cut was made across the back of the zombie.

'D*mn! It's too hard to aim for its weak spots while it's moving,' he cursed.

Long Yu quickly retreated just as the zombie fell onto the ground. He got into a defensive stance once again, preparing for another round of confrontation.

The zombie crawled back to its feet as if nothing happened. It growled loudly, expressing its hatred for Long Yu.

Xixi, who was witnessing the whole thing, was extremely frightened and worried for the kind big brother she just met.

Due to her successful mutation, she could sense that this particular zombie was different from the previous ones. 

Compared to the ones that brainlessly attacked her barrier, this one gave off a more dangerous aura.

"Wuu… Big brother, please be careful," she said softly.

As if it heard her, the zombie that was facing Long Yu, suddenly turned its head towards her direction. 

It seems that it was fed up dealing with a retaliating target. The zombie ran past Long Yu and headed for the frightened little girl.

"You piece of sh*t! Don't you dare!" Long Yu roared as he chased after it.

Due to their battle, they had gotten further from the car, so, they had a bit of distance to cover.

"All doors close and lock!" he shouted at the car once they had gotten close enough.

As if sensing the urgency in his voice, the front door to Xixi's seat started closing immediately.

Unfortunately, the zombie managed to slip in its hand just in time, before the door closed. Although it suffered a few broken fingers from the force, it continued trying to pry the door open.

*Whirr*

The car door mechanism tried its best to close the door. However, it was still slowly being forced open by the zombie. 

Long Yu who was a couple seconds behind, jumped towards the zombie and stabbed at its head.

As if anticipating him coming, the zombie used its free arm to cover the back of its head. 

The blade dug deep into its arm, almost piercing it entirely.

Long Yu, who was now hanging onto the blade behind the zombie, noticed something disturbing.

'How in the world… why is the wound on its back getting smaller!?'

Long Yu had no time to ask the system nor did he intend to. The situation was getting dangerous. He had to kill the zombie quickly.

'Sh*t! I got distracted!' he could feel himself being thrown off, when the zombie swung its injured arm. 

Long Yu was sent flying more than a meter away when he lost his grip on the blade's handle.

"Aaahh! Big brother, help!" Xixi's cries could be heard.

He could see that the door was now pried wide open and the zombie had pulled its arm back, going for the kill.

'Nooooo!!' Long Yu screamed internally.

One cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be paid.

The life saving system that Long Yu received supposedly follows this rule. Unfortunately, the price required some times can turn out to be somewhat strange.

 'System, I want to exchange for something that can regrow an arm.'

The whole day I just ate, slept, and tested out the new upgrade of my earth balls, the next day you could feel and see the tension and seriousness on everyone's face because today is the day we start our plan.

We all decided that we need to take out the big zombie for the plan to proceed well without any problems of it popping out of nowhere and start killing people.

My cousin and I were waiting out in front of the house for Haru since he went out first to try and detect which direction the horde will be coming from.

We waited for thirty minutes before we saw him on top of a building signaling us to come to him.

He led us to the square where the big zombie is staying, we met some little zombies on our way there but let Haru take care of them.

When we got to the square, we saw that there were just 12 zombies with one abnormal one surrounding the big zombie, we told Haru to stay where he is and not make a sound or move no matter what.

My cousin and I went out to the zombie when the stones around started floating in the air and started compressing into hard small pebbles before moving out with a fast speed towards the 12 zombies and went through their heads.

The big zombie and the abnormal were surprised and turned its head towards our direction and on doing so the abnormal zombie was met by an ax splitting its head in two. 

The big zombie, on the other hand, caught the ax and threw it back to us, one of the balls in my back shaped into a circular shield stopping the ax.

My cousin grabbed his ax from the shield running towards the big zombies coming to us, the zombie swung at my cousin but he ducked and swung at the arm but it didn't cut through instead it made the sound of iron hitting together.

Seeing my cousin fighting with the zombie, I brought out my knives for the first time since I got my abilities before feeling a rush of excitement course through me.

I roared running towards the zombie when I saw it huge hand trying to grab my cuz, I threw one of my knife toward its eye but it blocked it using its other hand.

That was enough for my cousin when his ax edges glowed as slashed at the palm in front of him causing the zombie to scream out loud because he was able to cut through the skin.

I did the same as my cousin when I directed the energy from my crystal to the knife making it glow yellow before moving at the back of its knee and slashed causing the zombie to kneel on one knee. 

It tried to scream out loud like it did last time when a swirling earth spear drilled out from the back of its head before it fell.  We were both breathing hard with the blood that covered our body when both of its arms moved to grab me and my cousin before we could react and threw us away at different buildings, I could shield myself with my earth balls but the same couldn't be said for my cousin.

I stood up from where it threw me and saw that the zombie is already standing with a small head on its shoulder before looking toward a shining light coming from where it threw my cousin. It squealed before running towards where my cousin is at. 

I ran after the zombie to where my cousin was to make sure he's going to be okay, the zombie reach him before I did and sent a punch and my cousin who was already standing looking at his glowing crystals with a maniac smile on his face.

He met the zombie punch with his own, I sent one of my balls to him to catch him in case he was sent flying again but that didn't happen when a burst of energy came from when their punch connected sending the big zombie flying backward.

I ducked when the zombie was sent flying towards me, when the zombie moved past me I looked at where it was going to land before something clicked, all my earth ball sunk into the ground going towards where the zombie will land before coming out the ground like spikes.

The zombie landed on it before squealing out as hard as it can because it still can't roar with the small head.

I went towards my cousin who was breathing hard and told him to take a crystal to recover his energy. When he got back his energy we walked back to where the zombie is stuck thrashing around.

The world changed because of a meteor shower that rained down on earth, this story is about the strange happening in the world after the meteor shower.

Mark woke up the next day and had his breakfast. He went back into the room and took out both his guns and sword. Strapping the sword to his back and the guns in their holders, he took the Jeep keys and walked out of the apartment. He told them not to wait for him during lunch and would have it outside. Kevin asked him if he could accompany him, but he didn't allow anyone. He only said he was going for a ride and everyone knew it was something personal, so no one asked. 
Getting into the car, Mark took a deep breath. He started the engine and drove away from the building. He kept both the guns to the side and looked around for any places he could use. He didn't know the city well. He was an introvert, apart from the university, which he rarely went to, only to show that he was alive. He didn't attend any social activities like going to clubs or parks, which was more of a Kevin type of thing. 
He looked around for any small places he could use. His ideal place was a small closed out basketball court so that he would have his alone time with his helper, the zombie, to know more of the abilities. But he didn't find any, so he searched for the next best thing, alleyways. The alleyways were small and cramped, so it was easier to isolate them. Feeling pumped up, he started looking for alleyways and after an hour of searching through many streets, he finally found the one. 
It was a small alleyway with an iron grid about his height in the middle. He also noticed the few zombies on the perfect street. The final deciding factor was the garbage bin, which was big enough to block the alleyway if kept correctly. 
"How convenient." He smiled and parked the Jeep inside the opposite alleyway before getting down. He had a gun in his hand and slowly walked to the other side. Before attracting any zombies, he went to check the alleyway. It was simple, a few Ac outlets and windows he could use to climb the wall if things go out of hand. The iron blockade was also good enough for him to jump. He moved the huge garbage relatively easily and noticed it was enough to block any other zombies from trying to get in, at least for a few seconds. 
After getting everything ready, he moved the garbage bin a bit, enough to squeeze in one human at a time. Slowly moving outside, he lightly hit the scabbard of the sword to the wall to make as little sound as possible. He aimed to only attract a single zombie, not a horde. It would be a disaster if it was a horde. So he continued to move forward down the street, near an isolated zombie. He then slowly hit with a quicker pace and finally made the zombie turn around. It looked at Mark before it groaned and moved towards him. 
Mark slowly moved back after noticing it was only a normal zombie. Luckily he didn't attract too many zombies and backed up, with the zombie till he reached the alleyway. Moving the bin a bit more, he allowed the zombie to come inside. Moving the zombie forwards inside, he reached the iron blockade and then jumped over the zombie using it as support. 
'Damn, I can do some parkour now.' He felt amused and moved quickly towards the garbage bin and closed it. Now it was only one human and a zombie in a small alleyway, blocking both sides undisturbed by the creatures outside. He noticed the zombie making back towards him and slowly stretched his hands. He kept the gun and sword back in their places.
With nothing in his hand, he moved forward until he was almost within its reach. The zombie sprung at him as he sidestepped and dodged it. He could feel his heart beat faster as the zombie rose again. Even though dodging was easier, the stress he was under didn't make it easier. 
The zombie continued to grab him as he continued to dodge. Instead of sidestepping the slow zombie, he made it harder by cutting that off. No sidestepping. He could only dodge when the zombie was dangerously close. This worked as he continued to dodge in close proximity. 
He could feel an unsightly aura coming from the zombie, which made him feel disgusted. He continued to back away and dodge the zombie and finally stopped when he felt the cold iron of the blockade touch his sweaty back. He felt a cold shiver run down his spine when he saw the zombie trying to jump on him. He rolled away without waiting. 
Standing up immediately, he kept his palm on his chest and felt the hard beats of his heart. He looked up and saw a bird circling them. He then looked down and saw the zombie jumping on him again. This made him freeze. He didn't have time to dodge it properly and would only get scratched. 
'Shit, stop.' he cursed and tried to reach out for the sword behind him. As he did, he saw the zombie slow down and knew it was the same phenomenon. He looked up, saw the bird still flying around, and immediately knew what ability he had. He felt a strange connection with the zombie in front of him. 
'I can control zombies? Damn, that's good.' feeling esthetic about the situation. But before he could continue to enjoy the situation, he felt the brain splitting pain attack him once again. He could feel the strange connection he had with the zombie being cut off and become weak. 
Without minding the pain for a few seconds, he slashed the sword right on the neck of the zombie, severing its head from the body perfectly. He finally exhaled when the body and the head fell at his feet. 


"THE END IS HERE"

The only sentence which made sense in the situation Mark was in. Trying to take the easy way out from all the horrors of his life Mark Blaze encountered the eruption of Zombies. The fight for survival has started. Would Mark be able to survive while facing his dark past he wanted to get away from or would he lose everything once again?
