"Do you remember me?" He asked. I thinned my lips as I prepare to say my answer. "Um," I began, "I kinda remember you but not really."

 "I'm familiar?" he clarifies. "Yes! Yes, you're familiar," I claimed. "Looks like you need to work on your vocabulary," he smiled. "Hey, I know that word. It just felt like using it would be disrespectful," I excused. Well, I do really know what that word meant but whatever.

 "So…" he elongated the 'o' "You don't really remember me?" I took a second to think. "No clue," I gave up. "I was contestant number 2, remember? The little game we had at that art booth at Stardelle?" I snapped a finger as I successfully remembered his struggling face, "Oh, that's right!"
 "You forget easily," he said. "Hey, it's not nice to judge people's abilities," I replied. Wow, I sounded quite a crybaby. "Sorry, but that's the impression I had."

 The two of us stared blankly at the moving view at the window pane. "I forgot to ask," I said, "What's your name?"

 "Ronnie. A freshmen at Stardelle," he introduced. "I'm Jeiro, also a freshmen in Stardelle." Ronnie's eyes widened as if surprised, "Wait, you're a 1st year?"

 "Uhh, what about it?" I muttered. "Thought you're a 3rd year or something." Wha— Do I even look old?! "Umm, if I were a third year student, I wouldn't be able to play in the booths. I'd be sent to class immediately."

 "Thought you cut classes," he added. "Wow you really are something, aren't you, Ronnie?" I crossed my arms as I get washed away by his judgmental head. "Do like to paint or do art in general?" I asked, shifting the topic. "Not really. I just wanted to give it a try. I do have arts and paintings as my hobby. Ever since I was a child, I was inspired by someone to do art."

 A soft ding played through our ears as the train doors slid open. "Who is this art idol of yours?" I asked. "That's a secret," he winked before leaving the train. As he stepped on the station platform, he turned towards me and waved, "I'll follow you on twitter. What's you're username?" I answered, "@Jeiroxxx" The door closed shut once again. 

 A few minutes in and I felt a vibration from my pocket. That was quick, Ronnie. I pulled out my phone. "Jeiro, let's do karaoke tomorrow at Kyle's house!" It was a text message from Allison. Wow. "Fine. Just a warning though, I'm bringing yarns and needles if ever I'll stitch your mouth up from your singing."

 "You brutal piece of shit. Anyways, bring food. See u tomo," Allison replied. Wasn't I the one who's invited? Why am I bringing food?

 "@TheRonniekka has requested to follow you," twitter notified. Really? TheRonniekka? What username is that? I accepted his follow request and immediately got a DM from him. That was quick.

 I texted Kyle, "Hey Kyle, is it okay to bring someone? A friend of mine." A few minutes passed before his reply, "Sure, no probs. Just make sure that friend of yours is not a thief. By the way how did you get a new friend, Mr. AntiSocial?" Wow, I'm not antisocial. This bully. 

 "I'm not even going to respond to that. Bye Kyle!" I texted, finishing our conversation.

 The last class for the day finally ended! Jeez, can I get a one-year break from chemistry? I walked towards the exit of the hall, only to see the duo. "Why the heck are the both of you here? I thought we'll be meeting at the quadrangle?" I asked.

 "Yes, but we'd like meet this new friend of yours, Jeiro. Now, where is this guy… or gal? I don't really know the specifics," Allison said. "He's at Stardelle station right now. We'll be meeting there. Just wait your horses!"

 We walked towards the Stardelle station to meet Ronnie. I immediately saw him on his phone. He was kinda short, I just noticed that now. "There he is," I pointed. The three of us made our way to Ronnie, who is peacefully on his phone. "Hey, Ronnie."

 "Oh, hi!" he greeted. Ronnie, Allison and Kyle exchanged introductions and pleasantries before making our way to Kyle's house.

 "Yeah, sing it, Ally!" Kyle cheered. Ally sings, "You like my hair? Gee thanks, just bought it…" She's really into Ariana Grande. Allison's voice echoed throughout the enclosed room. Only the four of us were there and a table of chips and dips at the center. Not to mention the large, flat screen TV that Kyle owns. 

 I glanced at Ronnie who is carefully browsing the song catalogue, "You find anything interesting?" He shook his head, "I know too many songs that I can't pick one. Can you help me out?" I moved closer to him and shifted my vision towards the catalogue. "Can you sing 'The Greatest Showman' songs?" I asked. "Yeah, but what song? There's a lot of song in that ensemble."

 I remembered Ronnie saying about his talent fee last night. So I wanted to have him sing a difficult song. "How about 'Never Enough' by Loren Allred?" I suggested. Let's see his reaction. I bet he'll find it difficult. "Nice! I love that song! Sure!" He answered cheerfully.

His turn came and the three of us sat at the sofa like three judges from The Voice. The moment that the first sentence came out of his mouth, I already felt a presence of an actual singer. "I'm trying to hold my breath." Kyle and Allison was waving their heads as they follow along the song silently. 

 "All the shine of a thousand spotlights, all the stars we steal from the night sky will never be enough," His voice was amazing. What amazed me more was that he didn't seem to find it hard even though it was a female's song. His voice was soothing and mellow. A lower key from the original but a higher pitch for normal guys. His intonations, dynamics, and tempo was perfect. Most importantly, he knows how to deliver the songs emotions.

 Little did I know, I was waving my head with Kyle and Allison as well.

 "Never enough, never never," Those high notes were perfect.

 "For me…" The three of us were off of our seats. Our hands were applauding towards the singer in front of us. He turned around and bowed at us before approaching me. "So, can you afford my talent fee?" he asked teasingly.

 I gulped. Shakingly, I answered, "N-No. You were so good."

 He laughed and thanked us.

 The night continued with more singing, laughing, and quarrels between Kyle and Allison. At the end, we finished the karaoke and bid goodnight to each other before parting ways. Except for Ronnie since we're both taking the train.
 
 The train had quite a few passengers since it was kinda late already. The both of us managed to get a seat. "So…" I initiated, "You've been a singer since childhood, correct?" He nodded, "I was in the choir at our local church back then. My parents are very religious people."

 "Hmm, sounds fun," I replied. He giggled cutely, "Not really, to be honest. But it was fulfilling though." The both of us paused before he asked me something, "You pursuing arts?" He asked. "Yeah. I've been doing art since I was a kid. I mean, it became my bread and butter once. It kinda saved my life, you know? Why ask?"

 "Saw your face back on that game at Stardelle's booth. You were so serious and determined. I kinda felt your sadness when you didn't win. I kinda rooted for you in someway, honestly."

 "Wow, who knew you had empathy." I received a slap on the shoulder.

 "How about you?" He let out a 'hmm,' "Do you pursue art? Specifically fine arts? You also looked serious at that contest, you know?" Honestly, he looked like he was struggling. "I want to be good in arts. It's a thing that I've always wanted to achieve. The ability to show your feelings via colors on a canvas. Isn't that wonderful?"

 I nodded, "Indeed." The train arrived at the station where Ronnie gets off. "Guess I'm going. Bye dork face." I waved goodbye before he left. I watched the doors slid towards each other to close. The train moved once again.

RONNIE'S POV
 I'm often asked that question. "Why pursue art than focus on singing?" So many people have asked that yet I only answer one thing. The answer I said to Jeiro.

 I stepped down the train station and a familiar building greeted me. It was old and was now covered in moss. It is no longer being used but it looked magnificent to me. This place is where I learned my first lessons, danced my first steps, sang my first melody, and met my inspiration. This is my Elementary school.

 I glanced over the sidewalk at the other side of the road. When will I meet you again? I looked up, towards the moon. I can now feel what it feels to be you, kitty.

 I pulled out my phone and browsed my gallery. In full screen, I viewed the work of art that sparked my passion for it. A painting made by a kid full of hope and colors in his eyes.

Jhummi was thinking about her trip fee, how she will manage everything, Suhani knows Jhummi is tensed about the fee, she wants to help her, but Jhummi is so stubborn she will never let her help, because she doesn't want to take advantage of their friendship.
"Hey, stop thinking too much Jhummi, we will see something together, so take a chill okay, we will do a lot of shopping, you know I couldn't sleep last night, because of excitement", said Suhani.
"Okay first I will check my savings then we will go for shopping and all", said Jhummi, "but listen to me babe, you are paying for your trip fee, so shopping expand will be from my side, no matter what and you will not argue with me about this, get that straight, this time I will not listen any of your shits, said Suhani trying to be angry.
"Okay fine, as you say, said Jhummi, and Suhani hugged her in happiness.
"Have this KitKat, I bought this for you, as you like it so much", Suhani gives Jhummi the packet of Kitkat.
"I love you so much, I just love this you know", said Jhummi as she started eating that like a small kid.
"I know, that is why I bring it for you, now you can have it as much as you want", said Suhani and snatched the last piece from Jhummi's hand.
Suhani knows very well how to distract her best friend's mood.
"I will drop you home, I am a little busy today as I told you that mom is forcing me to attend a family function, so I have to go there unwanted, so I will see you tomorrow after that", said Suhani, "it's okay, you should go to that function and I am not running anywhere, so we will meet tomorrow, said Jhummi.
"I am excited to bro, it will be so much fun, you just can't imagine how happy I am just to think about the trip", said Raghav, "but with whom you will go Raghav, because I am not coming with you, said Ayan.
"But why, you can not deny for this trip because sports person are compulsory to go, understand", said Raghav in an angry tone, what the hell I will do there without you stupid, he continued.
"No one can force to an injured student for any stupid trip", said Ayan with a smirk, "but you are not injured, you are all fit and fine", Raghav argued,
"but no one can predict the future dude, anything could happen to me, said Ayan, and Raghav knows what does Ayan means.
"But its really unfair Ayan, you can not do this to me, this is our first college trip and you don't want to come, you are breaking my heart so badly, you cruel man, said Raghav in sad tone.
Raghav was thinking how to convince Ayan for this trip, because he wants to go badly on this trip and with Ayan, so he was just trying to act genuine, "Okay fine if you don't wanna come, actually its cool for me now, thank god you are saying no, thank you dude, said Raghav and Ayan made a confused face because he doesn't understand anything.
"Its too simple bro, I am happy you are not coming because I will go on this trip and I have hundred percent chances that I would be able to do friendship with Jhummi, she is also coming on this trip, I am hell excited to spend time with her, you know I just love the way she talks, said Raghav and acted like he is lost somewhere, although Raghav knows very well that he hit the right point.
"Who told you that Jhummi is coming on this trip", asked Ayan in curiosity, I know her she will never agree for this trip, you are lying to me, Ayan continued.
"It's up to you dude, if you trust me or not, I am so happy, and now I don't care if you don't come, I have my own reason to go there, oh god! Jhummi, said Raghav and Ayan's temper started getting high, he was staring Raghav like he will eat him alive, "stop scaring me dude with your deadly looks, I am already scared of you", said Raghav with sarcastic smile.
Jhummi came home and her mother welcomed her, although it's all-new for Jhummi, still, she is trying to get used to this, she never stopped loving her mother because of her behavior, but she was so disappointed with her, but now her mother is showing her new side of hers, she is showering her love and care, for which Jhummi craved for years and now she is so happy, as well Neel. Her mother hugged her and told her that dinner is ready and if she wants any snacks she can tell her, Jhummi hugged her mother back, she didn't told her yet about the trip, but she will definitely tell her after she will arrange the fee.
Jhummi was checking her both saving accounts and she was happy that she has enough money for the trip, actually, she already knew it, but it's all is her life savings and she saved it for the future and she doesn't want to spend it on the trip. 
But again she thought that it's okay she will again save the money but this trip will never gonna come back nor his first year of college will come back, so it's all worth to spend it, she was happy with her decision. 
Neel knocked the Jhummi's room and Jhummi came out from her thoughts, "you don't need to knock at my door, you can come anyways, what's up" she asked to Neel, "nothing much, just getting bored, said Neel, you say what are you doing, he continued.
"I was just checking my savings, my college is organizing a trip to Zurich and as a sports person, I don't have any choice to deny, so I was just checking how much money I have, said Jhummi. 
"Wow, a trip to Zurich, you are so lucky, I mean it is so awesome, it's like a dream, a college trip to the Zurich, I damn wish I could go with you, said Neel in excitement.
"You know one family member or friend is allowed to the trip", said Jhummi and Neel's eyes were shining like an ocean, there was so much hope in that, "but I can't afford the fee for you, I am so sorry Neel, said Jhummi with sadness as her eyes become wet, "hey come on my brave sis, don't be sad, it's okay and isn't your fault, and I was just joking, I don't want to go there, it's not that good, Neel lied to cheer her, but Jhummi knows her brother, he is saying all because to make her happy,  "do you think I am that fool Neel, don't try to manipulate me, I know you wanna come and don't worry I will try my best so that we can go together on our first trip, said Jhummi with a cheerful smile. 
Jhummi thought she will use her all her savings but anyhow she will take Neel on this trip, after all she doesn't know next time when she will have this awesome chance.

After lunch, Tie Xiaohu and Tang Meng continued their tasks, whereas Ling Yun returned to the Ordinary People's Clinic.
Xue Meining, Miao Xiaomiao, and Yao Rou were there. Of course, there were also the three beautiful nurses.
"Wah! The boss is here!"
Shang Xiaomeng's eyes were sharp, so she was the first to see Ling Yun's arrival. Her eyes widened, and she shrieked. Her huge chest bobbed up and down from her exaggerated movements. That made the male patients swallow hard.
Sun Yujiao was focused on taking care of her patients. Her beautiful brows knitted slightly, and the corners of her mouth were drawn in a tight line. "Yo, Ling Yun's here? How were the college entrance examinations? You can probably be the top in the country, right? Poor you, sweating so much in the hot weather. Come, take a seat and drink some water to cool down…"
Li Jinlian was the most overboard. This mature woman was bold and sultry. She got up immediately and went up to Ling Yun, caring about nothing else once she saw Ling Yun enter. Her pair of seductive eyes were sending waves of electricity to Ling Yun.
Sun Yujiao and Shang Xiaomeng tutted at the scene. Why didn't she just bury herself deep into his arms then?
"I'm not thirsty." Ling Yun gave Li Jinlian a smile and then looked at the room full of patients. Xue Meining and Miao Xiaomiao each occupied a compartment, carefully treating the patients. They were too busy and were unable to emerge even though they knew Ling Yun had arrived.
"Have they had lunch?" Ling Yun asked pointedly.
"How would we have the time to eat?" Li Jinlian protested. "Boss, look at the number of patients. We can't possibly let them wait here for nothing, right?"
There were too many people indeed. The four benches they prepared weren't enough, so they added eight more. Even so, some still had to stand.
"Hmph! Didn't you all want to save the dying and help the wounded? Do you know how difficult it is now?"
Ling Yun's heart winced with pain and anger. He told Yao Rou the day after the grand opening of the clinic that his consultation fee was three hundred thousand yuan, nothing less. It was ruthlessly abolished by Xue Meining and Miao Xiaomiao even before it was implemented!
"Oh my god, Big Brother Yun is crazy for money," Xue Meining said when she heard about the consultation fee.
Miao Xiaomiao scorned him directly and scolded him for being shameless and greedy…
Of course, the price that these two beauties paid was enormous. They started early and worked until late every day. They didn't even have time to eat with the clinic full of sorrowful people waiting for treatment. They couldn't possibly leave them and head out to play, right?
"Rou Er, how much in consultation fees did we receive today?" Ling Yun asked Yao Rou with a smile.
"There were a total of seventy patients this morning. We received three thousand five hundred yuan…" Yao Rou smiled gently at Ling Yun.

The Ordinary People's Clinic had become completely ordinary.
"Rou Er, have you eaten?" Ling Yun asked.
Yao Rou lifted her hand and stretched her index finger towards Xue Meining and Miao Xiaomiao. She then shook her head quietly.
They hadn't eaten, so how could she? That was her message.
Utterly annoyed, Ling Yun shouted in Xue Meining's direction. "You two take your time, I'll bring them out for food!"
Ling Yun pulled Yao Rou along and then asked the three nurses, "I'll treat you all to a scrumptious meal, do you want to go?" 
"Really?" Li Jinlian's body trembled with delight. She got up immediately to change her clothes.
"What? Food?" Shang Xiaomeng was famished. She swallowed hard when she heard about it. However, she hesitated as she looked back at the full clinic and the two doctors.
Sun Yujiao, on the other hand, showed no reaction. She continued what she was doing.
Ling Yun couldn't be bothered with them. "We're going now. Come with us if you want to eat, if not, you can continue working…"
Xue Meining was elated to know that Ling Yun was here, but she didn't think that he would ignore her sister and her to bring Yao Rou and the three nurses for lunch. That shock caused her to almost deploy the needle wrongly.
"Please wait a moment!"
Xue Meining apologized to the patient in front of her. She couldn't concentrate on her treatment, so she bit her lip and ran out, staring at Ling Yun with her pair of glistening eyes.
Too biased!
She had started on the Spirit Potency Art and was able to absorb some spiritual energy. She infused it through the Nine Needles of the Spiritual Pivot. She was improving vastly by the day under Ling Yun's guidance.

The current results were too far off from what she pictured, so she couldn't take it.
"Big Brother Yun, you…" She ran out to see Ling Yun hugging Yao Rou by her waist. Tears welled up from the depths of her eyes.
Miao Xiaomiao didn't come out. Her hand only paused ever so slightly before she deployed the needle at the patient's acupuncture point accurately.
"You pulled the patients here, you treat them. However, how can they not have lunch? I'm bringing them for lunch, you two can stay here and treat the patients yourselves…"

A limousine parked outside of the Ordinary People's Clinic, and down came a wealthy-looking middle-aged man. He stopped Ling Yun and asked politely.
"Yes, this place can get your youth back, but it's not cheap. The consultation fee is expensive!" Ling Yun smiled lightly.
"Didn't they say the consultation fee is fifty yuan? That isn't expensive. Or perhaps this is the wrong clinic?" That man looked confused.
"This is the right place, but you got the consultation fee wrong. It's three hundred thousand yuan!" Ling Yun told him without any misgivings.
"What! Three hundred thousand yuan!" The rich man was dumbfounded. "Ooi, you're bluffing me, right? Which clinic has a consultation fee of three hundred thousand yuan?"
He was annoyed, thinking that Ling Yun was joking with him.
"I'm the boss of this clinic, do you think I'm bluffing you?" Ling Yun smiled, pointing at the signboard of the Ordinary People's Clinic.
"You must be mad!" That rich man went back into his car with a plop!
Li Jinlian and Shang Xiaomeng were equally shocked… Three hundred thousand yuan as a consultation fee?
They looked into the clinic and thought back to the remuneration that Ling Yun was giving them. They then thought about how Ling Yun could save someone from the clutches of hell, finally understanding the conflict between Ling Yun and the two beautiful doctors.
Their boss wasn't doing charity, he opened the clinic to make lots of money!
Ling Yun didn't go too far. He found a seafood restaurant nearby and treated them to a good meal. They went back to the clinic after an hour.
There were far fewer patients when they got back, only about a dozen. Xue Meining and Miao Xiaomiao were still at it.
Ling Yun laughed inwardly and deliberately increased the volume of his voice. "Tell anyone else who walks in that the consultation fee is three hundred thousand yuan. Not a yuan less, do you understand?" he said to Shang Xiaomeng.
Shang Xiaomeng nodded like a woodpecker, her heart thumping excitedly.
"Come, Rou Er. Make a good pot of tea for me upstairs and give me a good massage. The seafood in that restaurant was good, but not much could be said about the tea!"
Ling Yun brought Yao Rou up to the second floor immediately, ignoring Xue Meining.
Xue Meining's eyes were red as she continued to treat her patients. She had to use the back of her hand to wipe her tears away repeatedly.
Ling Yun sat on the sofa like a king with a cruel smile as Yao Rou busied herself steeping tea for him. "Hmph, fifty yuan for treatment. My Nine Needles of the Spiritual Pivot is worthless then!"
Yao Rou brought the tea she steeped to Ling Yun and started her massage. Ling Yun moaned after a few kneads.
"Rou Er, your massage has improved greatly…"
"I paid a lot of tuition to learn from the best masseur so that I can serve you properly." Yao Rou smiled shyly.
"Good, good, my Rou Er is the best…"
Ling Yun had a snooze while the massage went on. After half an hour, Miao Xiaomiao dragged Xue Meining up to the second floor.

Hearing Wu Kong's words, Xuefeng squinted his eyes and looked at the guard with a questioning gaze. He was fine with paying an entrance fee, but if he was being cheated then he wouldn't let that pass. 

The guard didn't panic after the accusation and calmly explained, "That is indeed true. Normal fee is ten middle tiered Spirit Stones per person, but today is special. There is a huge yearly auction tonight and hundreds of people will attend it. If we didn't increase the entry fee, there would be too many people trying to get inside, creating massive crowds. It is a normal occurrence. We wouldn't dare to cheat you, Sir." 

Xuefeng looked at Wu Kong for confirmation, but he only blushed embarrassed without saying anything. He couldn't admit that he actually didn't know about the yearly auction at all. 

"Well, we don't have any tokens of status, so our only way is to pay. Wuying, do you have any Spirit Stones on you?" Xuefeng knew he didn't have any Spirit Stones on him, so he turned to Wuying for a favour. Xiao Wen was technically working for him so he didn't want to lend from her. 

"I actually don't have any. We spent everything with Wen on our way." Wuying shook her head, completely broke. She wasn't allowed to take Spirit Stones away from the Liu Clan treasury like Xuefeng could, so unless she earned them, she could only depend on Xuefeng or wait for monthly clan allowance. 

"You also don't have any?" Xuefeng asked Wen as well who was next to him, but she also shook her head innocently putting Xuefeng in an awkward position. He knew that Yiren didn't have any so he didn't even ask her. 

"How about this. I maybe don't have any Spirit Stones on me now, but I have many pills that I want to sell onto the auction house. How about you go with us to the auction house and I will pay you after I sell them?" Xuefeng figured out a quick solution, but the guard clearly didn't like it as he frowned right away for a second before changing his expression back to normal. 

"Sir, I don't think this is a possible option. If everyone was like this, we would be quickly short staffed. We can't leave our posts. How about Sir sell the pills in the medicine shops all around the city and come back later when Sir has money? I think this will be an easier solution for both of us." The guard recommended. 

Grumble… Just as the guard finished his speech, Wu Kong stomach grumbled once again. 

"Big brother…" Wu Kong called out embarrassedly, trying to apologize, but Xuefeng stopped him and turned towards the guard, saying, "If you don't want to accept my proposition then so be it." The guard smiled, thinking he convinced Xuefeng, but his next words shocked him. 

Xuefeng added, "We will just enter first and pay when we will be leaving. Girls, let's go inside." Wuying and Xiao Wen smiled, hearing Xuefeng's decision and followed after him. Yiren wasn't interested in the whole situation as she talked with Wu Lan the whole time and just walked behind Xuefeng. 

The guard was speechless for a moment seeing Xuefeng's group walk past him and didn't know how to react when he heard another group's comment, "Wow, I didn't think the guards here were such pushovers. Maybe we should also pay after the event, hehe." 

The guard finally recovered and quickly shouted towards his friends on the other side of the gate, "Quickly block the gate!" They couldn't allow anyone to bypass the rules or many others would find that unfair and will revolt as well. 

Boom! Just as the gates closed and covered with a barrier, a loud explosion resounded around the area and a small hole was blown inside the gate. Xuefeng with his Black Flames Slayer in his hands passed through it and looked cooly at the shocked guards. 

"Big Brother is amazing!" Wu Kong cried out jumping through the debris happily. 

"Maybe next time it should be me who is holding your hand instead..." Xiao Wen commented as she entered behind him which left Xuefeng at a loss for words. He couldn't even follow his own rules, but at the same time, he couldn't say that he didn't try. 

"The kids are hungry and I didn't want them to wait anymore. Let's go." Xuefeng shrugged and put away the sword. He didn't want to waste any more time and they left under everyone's gazes. 

He didn't notice that as they left, the hand he was squeezing this whole time once again slipped into his palm.

Gun-Ho stayed in New Otani Hotel in Akasaka. Tomorrow, he had to go back to Korea. He suddenly missed Mori Aikko so much. Gun-Ho gave a call to the general affairs manager in Korea.
"I want to extend my trip for one more day. I will return to Korea the day after tomorrow."

The next day, Gun-Ho didn't return to Korea but instead, he went to Kyoto without telling anyone. The emperors of Japan used to live in Kyoto. Gun-Ho headed to Okazaki Park where the festival was held in. There were posters here and there about the festival. A pretty geisha in colorful Kimonos posed with a traditional Japanese oil-paper umbrella in her hand on the poster. When Gun-Ho looked at the festival poster closely, he was astonished. It was Mori Aikko on the poster.
"Wow. It is indeed Mori Aikko."
Gun-Ho smiled.
 
There were so many people at Heian Shrine in Okazaki Park. They all seemed to be there for the festival. Many photographers were standing in front of the shrine with their cameras ready. Behind the group of photographers, there was a huge crowd of general spectators, and Gun-Ho was inside the crowd.
With the sound of a drum, the festival started. Music started and a group of dancers in a white outfit came out to the stage. They were dancing geishas.    
"Kirei na (Pretty)!"
"Kirei na (Pretty)!"
People kept shouting 'Kirei na.' The dancer in the center of the group was Mori Aikko.
"That's her!"
The photographers started shooting pictures of Mori Aikko. Mori Aikko was wearing thick geisha makeup; she didn't wear that makeup when she danced in the bar. The spectators participated in taking pictures of Mori Aikko with their smartphones. So did Gun-Ho. Gun-Ho took Mori Aikko's pictures with his cell phone.
 
The geishas were dancing along with the music that was played with some musical instruments that Gun-Ho didn't really recognize. Her dance was different from the one she performed at the bar. It was a really beautiful artistic dancing. People there were so busy taking pictures of Mori Aikko's every move.
'That girl is my Mori Aikko!'
 
Gun-Ho felt like he was willing to give her everything he had. He would have given the world to Mori Aikko if he could.
Gun-Ho quietly walked out of Heian Shrine; he wanted Mori Aikko to enjoy her moment and didn't want to interrupt her activity. He, then, headed straight to the airport to take a flight to Korea.
 

A few days after Gun-Ho came back to Korea, he was told that Mr. Sakata Ikuzo is soon arriving at the Gimpo International Airport.
Gun-Ho called for the general affairs manager.
"Did you find an interpreter?"
"Yes, I had him on standby."
"Why don't you bring him here?"
The general affairs manager brought a young man to Gun-Ho's office. The young man looked like three or four years younger than Gun-Ho.
"He will be interpreting for us. This is his resume."
The general affairs manager handed the resume to Gun-Ho.
"You went to college and graduate school in Japan. Since the person who is coming is an engineer, you will encounter many technical terms to interpret. I hope you are ready for it."
Since the interpreter would work temporarily for only a month, Gun-Ho didn't talk long with him.
 
"Mr. General Affairs Manager, let's send the assistant general affairs manager to the airport to pick up Mr. Sakata Ikuzo. It seems he has a nice car; he can bring that car to the airport."
"I think he is an adequate person for the work. He is good-looking and he has good conversational skills as well. He also has a sophisticated etiquette."
Gun-Ho asked for the assistant general affairs manager.
"Was your car Kia K7? It looked like a new car."

"It's actually a used car. It is less than 2 years old though."
"I want you to go to Gimpo International Airport to pick up someone. I will ask the general affairs manager to provide you enough gas. A very famous Japanese engineer is coming to our company for a consultation. His name is Sakata Ikuzo. Please take the interpreter with you. The person standing next to you is our interpreter."
"Yes, sir."
"Mr. General Affairs Manager, please reserve a room at Onyang Hot Spring Hotel for Mr. Sakata Ikuzo."

Gun-Ho started assigning work to each director.

"Mr. Plant Manager, please give him a tour of our factory."
"Yes, sir."
"After the tour of the factory, please show him our research center as well. Mr. Chief Officer of the research center, you can show him around."

"And find out whether he prefers to do his development work at the production field in the factory or in the research center."

The plant manager was walking out of Gun-Ho's office with Mr. Sakata Ikuzo when he asked Mr. Sakata Ikuzo his age in Japanese. The plant manager seemed to speak Japanese a little bit.
"How old are you?"
Mr. Sakata Ikuzo answered while looking at the plant manager's business card.
"I'm 65 years old."
"You are three years older than me. I'm 62 years old."
The two 60-something years old men looked at each other and laughed.
 
After having a tour both to the factory and the research center, Mr. Sakata Ikuzo decided to do his work at the factory where he could easily have access to the extruding machine.
 


Mr. Sakata Ikuzo brought two big bags with him. He took out several vinyl bags of raw materials from one of his bags; the raw materials seemed to be about 5 kilograms.
"Do you have a team leader in the maintenance and repair department?"
"We have a production manager here, and he is very good at maintenance work as well."
The plant manager introduced Jong-Suk to Mr. Sakata Ikuzo.
Mr. Sakata Ikuzo unexpectedly smiled and offered his hand to Jong-Suk for a handshake.

This is the story of a poor young man whose poverty even shreds apart their family willing to climb his way through society and into the top. A very realistic novel that moves away from fantasy and sci-fi and focuses solely on the issues of society and life.

The first successful hand reattachment surgery in China had been accomplished back when China's medical conditions and environment were still really poor. That was something amazing. One of the primary surgeons for that surgery was connected to Qiu Fazu, the father of modern Chinese surgery.
Back then, China had yet to import even one slightly advanced medical microscope. Despite this, the medical geniuses of that generation had managed to succeed at hand reattachment surgery. But after that, after a certain period of time, Chinese society became such that money was considered more important than anything. Limb replantation surgery swiftly went down a downhill slope in Chinese medical development, despite other Chinese medical fields rapidly advancing to catch up with the rest of the world. All of this was due to the lack of benefits associated with limb replantation surgery for Chinese public hospitals.
Wang Congcong was pushed into the operating room on his gurney. The doctors were all tense as they finished the pre-surgery preparations to correct his shock. Little Wang Congcong seemed to be really weak and withered.
He no longer even had the energy to cry. His small face was incredibly pale. The strangers around him were all wearing green surgical attires, blue surgical caps, and blue face masks, which made them seem like monsters to him. The frightened young boy curled up into a ball as much as possible as if that would give him some slight sense of safety after being separated from his mother.
Wang Congcong received fluid infusion to correct his shock. He was then given a sedative which knocked him unconscious. Meanwhile, Zhang Fan and Li Liang prepared the cut off hand for reattachment while the anesthesia for the boy was being prepared.
"Prepare Kirschner wires and bone nails. Metal plates can't be used for this surgery!" Zhang Fan told the medical equipment nurse as he disinfected the cut off tiny hand.
"Director Zhang, why aren't we using metal plates?" Li Liang didn't understand. He had stopped referring to Zhang Fan as "Brother Zhang" ever since Chen Qifa had told him not to do it anymore.
"Metal plate affixation is too damaging to the periosteum, especially in young children. It's best to avoid damaging the periosteum if at all possible," Zhang Fan explained. There were many advantages to using metal plates in bone affixation. However, the greatest disadvantage to metal plates was the damage to the periosteum.
The periosteum was a dense layer of vascular connective tissue enveloping the bones. It contained a large number of blood vessels and nerves. Damage to the periosteum would be permanent. It was far too difficult to repair any damaged nerves in the periosteum.
Metal plates were all mass-produced. When using them, it would be absolutely necessary to ensure that the metal plate and the bone were as close to each other as possible. If the two weren't close enough to each other, either the metal plate would snap, or the bone fracture wouldn't be affixed securely enough.
In order to ensure that the metal plate and the bone were as close to each other as possible, the surgeon would have to use a bone scalpel to destroy the periosteum at that location. Meanwhile, Kirschner wires were far simpler. It would act in a way similar to knitting, where two intersecting straight lines would support and affix something. It was because Kirschner wires were much cheaper, which provided less benefits through kickbacks to the doctors!
Zhang Fan finished cleaning and disinfecting the tiny cut off hand. He then told Li Liang, "Flush this with heparin saline." Zhang Fan held on to the tiny hand so that the broken portion was facing Li Liang. This tiny hand seemed almost just like a tiny pig foot, especially with the skin color being identical.
Washing the broken portion with heparin saline was to help the remaining blood inside the hand to prevent intravascular coagulation. One of the key elements in whether a limb replantation surgery would be successful or not was how high in quality the blood vessel reattachment was in ensuring that blood could smoothly flow again. The first step to ensuring all this was to rinse and preserve the remaining blood inside the limb.
As Li Liang rinsed, Zhang Fan used black threads to tie the blood vessels and nerves. He was marking them. For this type of surgery, not even one moment of time could be wasted.
The anesthesia had been prepared by the time that Zhang Fan and Li Liang finished preparing the cut off hand. Zhang Fan and Li Liang then began the surgery.
The medical equipment required for hand and foot surgery was quite similar to medical equipment for vascular surgery or ophthalmology rather than orthopedic surgery. The medical equipment was mostly tiny and exquisite, unlike in orthopedic surgery, which mostly used medical equipment similar to what a carpenter would use. Orthopedic surgery medical equipment would be hammers, saws, bone files, bone scalpels, and electrotomes! Wang Congcong's father's older brother's family also worked at the Rural Electricity Bureau. Wang Congcong's uncle was a low-ranking manager, while Wang Congcong's parents were both ordinary employees. Wang Congcong's uncle was a nice person, but his wife was the type who often stirred up trouble.
"Sheesh! Just how were you watching the little boy? He's young and doesn't understand anything, but does that also mean that you don't understand anything? All of you in the family add up to about 200 collective years of experience, but you still couldn't even watch over a four-year-old boy properly!" Wang Congcong's uncle was also feeling really bad about the situation. He roared in a low voice at his wife. "Shut up! If you're going to keep talking like this, just go home!" 
Wang Congcong's uncle then turned to his younger brother, and whispered, "Do you have enough money with you? I brought my bank card. You absolutely must tell the doctors to use the best medicine and medical equipment. There's not enough time now, but you should have given the doctors some red packets before the surgery started. This is such a major incident, sigh! Who's the person in charge of this hospital? I'll go set things up with them."
Wang Congcong's uncle was interrupted when Chen Qifa arrived with the prepared surgery agreement form. "Please come with me to the office and sign this paperwork."
Wang Congcong's father supported his wife as they trudged over to the office. Wang Congcong's uncle followed them as well. Wang Congcong's aunt-in-law also immediately came with them because she didn't want her husband to give his family any money!
Wang Congcong's grandparents were just like mannequins now. They had blank expressions as they looked at the "Surgery in progress" green light on the operating room door.
"Here, and here. This is the difficulty level of the surgery and the dangers involved, along with potential side effects after the surgery. Please sign here!" Chen Qifa informed them about the surgery, and pointed at the place for the family members to sign.
Wang Congcong's parents were basically just like lambs who would easily be taken advantage of. They wouldn't dare to resist or object to whatever price or demands the doctors named! They were afraid that their actions might affect the doctors in any way.
"Please remember to pay the necessary medical fee," Chen Qifa told them.
"Director, about how much money will it be?" Wang Congcong's uncle asked. Wang Congcong's parents were already like zombies who would do anything that they were told to do. Their ability to think had already shut down completely.
"Approximately 20,000 yuan!"
"Alright, I'll go pay the medical fee right now." Wang Congcong's uncle then went to go pay the medical fee. However, his wife started panicking and pulled on the back of his shirt, refusing to let go.
Without saying anything, Wang Congcong's uncle pushed aside his wife's hand, and then went to go pay the medical fee. His wife felt like knives were stabbing into her heart from this. They were just an ordinary family. 20,000 yuan would be no small number for an ordinary family!
Now, Wang Congcong's aunt-in-law was just like a third zombie as she and Wang Congcong's parents woodenly walked out of the office.
Suddenly, the aunt-in-law seemed like she came alive again with the desire to spew more insults. "Just look at you, not only are you incapable of taking care of your son, what trashy hospital have you found here? Why didn't you go to a public hospital!?"

Of course he would be proud. Previously, he had been a minor doctor at Kuake City Hospital who didn't even have a medical license. Now, he was the surgical director at Zhang Fan's hospital, which exceeded even Chasu City Hospital in skill level at limb replantation surgery. Chen Qifa had plenty to be proud of!

Zhang Fan swiftly used heparin saline to rinse the blood vessels. Li Liang's current skill level as a surgical assistant was just barely passable enough to work as fast as Zhang Fan. Li Liang had worked hard at improving his own skills not to slow Zhang Fan down.
Zhang Fan finished cleaning the injury and began to affix the bone fracture. The young boy's bone was pure white and as narrow as a chopstick.
"Sigh! Such a young child had to suffer so much," Li Liang commented. He had already worked on countless limb replantation surgeries already, but even he couldn't help but feel pity for the young boy in this condition.
A Kirschner wire was attached to the electrotome for the bone affixation process. Zhang Fan connected the ulna and radius and used a 30-degree angle as he gently pierced through the bone with the electrotome which spun at a high speed. These types of clean breaks were the easiest to affix.
Zhang Fan then affixed the bone with intersecting Kirshner wires. His affixation was extremely exquisite. He didn't hesitate one bit. He didn't even have to slow down to ascertain anything. That was how well practiced and precise he was in his movements.
Li Liang was unable to see this, as he was standing at the surgical assistant's position. However, Song Bing was able to see everything quite clearly as he was standing at the operating room nurse's position. He kept shouting in his mind, 'Wow! Wow! Wow! So that's how it's done! Oh! Why did he do it like this!?' Song Bing felt a constant mix of excitement and confusion. He was going to study all night again after finishing his work on this surgery!
Zhang Fan finished affixing the bone fracture and muscle tendons. Next was the blood vessels. This part would require a microscope. The success or failure of the surgery would depend on this critical part of the surgery. However, this surgery wasn't difficult at all for Zhang Fan.
Zhang Fan's movements were rather robotic. He had practiced countless times before in his System, giving his muscles perfect muscle memory which was completely standardized in every movement on how to balance gentleness and swiftness.
Zhang Fan finished sewing up the nerves and then the skin. "Okay!" he gently announced after finishing the surgery. Once he said this, it was as if the operating room had just unthawed from a deep freeze. Everyone came alive again.
"Director Zhang, are you tired? I'll feed you some glucose!" Song Bing acted sycophantically to Zhang Fan.
"I'm fine. You guys need to remember that you still can't relax at all yet. You absolutely must observe the reattached hand to see if there's any change in the skin or temperature."
"Alright," Li Liang and Song Bing replied and nodded simultaneously.
Zhang Fan had successfully reattached Wang Congcong's hand. However, there was an obvious difference in colors between the hand and the arm.
The previously cut off hand had really pale skin. It seemed just like an artificial hand. However, this skin was now changing color again at a visible rate due to receiving blood flow once again. Proper skin color was being gradually restored.
Around 15 seconds later, as if it was magic, the hand's skin color completely returned to normal. The only visible difference was that there was a black thread all around the severed location, just as if the young boy was wearing a black silken bracelet which had been sewn into his wrist! The black thread really did look quite nice and cute. At the very least, this black thread looked far more pleasant than a bleeding stump which revealed white bone!
"For postoperative care, make sure to pay constant attention, especially within the first 24 hours after the surgery. You absolutely can't let down your guard," Zhang Fan told the other two doctors.
"Okay," Li Liang and Song Bing replied and nodded simultaneously.
The surgery was now finished! Wang Congcong's hand had been successfully saved. The surgery had taken a bit more than three hours.

Michael just shrugged it off, as he knows he wouldn't get an answer even if he thinks about it all day long

Then Michael followed the instruction from the message earlier and opened the Virtual Auction.

Then another window appeared in front of him.

"T-this...isn't this...Wow!"

Even being an old soul that he is, he was still shocked at the sight before him.

The thing before is like an online ecommerce store, and every item of the same category are sorted out in one place, like the Weapons Section, Armor Section, Consumables Section etc.

And he saw that the previous blank Virtual Auction is slowly being filled with different items from every character class!

Some are even selling miscellaneous items like fish, ore and herbs, and all of them are either sold for in game currency or real world currency!

[You can now put the items you desire to sell through the Virtual Auction and every successful transaction will have a 5% transaction fee based on the amount the item is sold for]

Another message appeared in front of him.

"This is a very convenient way to sell items. Now, I don't need to look for buyers, and I could just put it up for auction, but if its a high end item then I would still need to look for a buyer myself. After all, the 5% transaction fee is still a lot for me"

Michael grinned, and then he saw the requirements to create a guild is a whopping twenty thousand reputation points from any city or town, and when the requirement is met then they only need to go to the nearest city and apply for a guild creation directly from the city lord, but they would need to pay a whopping ten thousand gold!

"Damn! The update for guild creation is just a hype! How the hell could someone even earn ten thousand gold coins and earn a ten thousand reputations so early in the game!? The devs are clearly being assh*les again!"

"I'm sure the leaders of the nine major guilds are probably gritting their teeth in anger by now after finding out how high the requirements are! Hahaha!"

Michael chuckled, imagining how miserable they looked right now.

"Now then, how about the gold exchange rate? This is one being added surely is interesting"

Michael mumbled as he opened the Game Exchange Rate, and saw that ratio of exchange for one gold coin for real world cash is 1 to 200!

But there's no cash to gold exchange as it would certainly break the balance of the game.

"Wow, that's a lot!"

Michael wasn't the only one checking the changes in the game, as every player in the game is doing the same as him, and even a lot of them were shocked to find out that players could actually mine, fish and even gather herbs.

"Now, it's time for me to do some quest and level up!"

Michael then went around the shops, and started stacking on potions and bread where he spent another gold coin leaving him with only 8 gold coins left, and then he slowly made his way towards the City Administration to get another quest through the busy streets full of players like him.

"Hey look, it's that guy who finished a C grade quest"

"The game just updated. Do you think he's here to get another absurd quest again? Isn't he even a little bit curious at the new additions in the game?"

"Pssh! Only someone like you would do that. Look at that guy, finishing a C grade quest by himself. He's clearly an expert, that he doesn't even care about the new updates of the game"

"F*ck off! You're no different!"

"Tsk, I'm not playing this game for fun, but to earn money, you dumbf*ck! Now, shut the hell up and let's just go finish the quest we got and hope that we get to Level 4 soon"

The moment Michael walked inside the building, he immediately drew the attention of many players. After all, soloing a C grade quest is almost nigh impossible in the current game unless that said player is someone from the Player Rankings, but even then, completing a mission like that all alone wouldn't even guarantee them success.

And only someone who is also an abnormal person like Michael would probably be able to do it too!

A few minutes later, Michael left towards another direction.

Towards the Southern Gate, where there's a huge lake there as he at least wanted to see if there are also players like Tom who are fishing here at Haven City.

After all, Tom's starting location is actually on a village called Silver Sea Port Village, and this port village is at least two kingdoms away from Michael's location, and only when one player, one single player could reached Level 10, would the restriction in their beginner's location would be lifted, and only then would the players of any level would they be able to roam free around the game world in a land called.

Nevareth Continent.

A huge chunk of land, twice bigger than all of the continents on Earth combined together.
