While waiting for his uniform to dry, Cora cuddled Arata to warm him. There were no more people passing that area in the park so he could stay like that without feeling awkward at all. Soon, they started chatting again until the uniform got dried enough for him to wear again. They got themselves dinner at a nearby fast food chain, and he walked her to her house.

The Cosmos Crown slept in his inventory. Since it was not bound to whose date a player got it from, he planned to save his crowns for Yukari and Tohru, quickly getting them to maximum affection. That would cut off the need for Encounters for Yukari, and hasten his progress with Tohru. Seeing that veterans like him only had two new date-ables to choose from, the event seemed to be rather early. Perhaps it was because the spring version did come as early, and made it hell for other date-ables. Or that, they wanted to gift the players with the albums as fast as they could. They already had the comeback event, though.

To think about it, he had no idea when the live would happen. He hasn't talked to Horsepower about it for a week now, and it would be suspicious if he asked out of the blue. He still have one action time before the day ends, and he was planning on using it to see the forums. He was pretty sure they noticed he got suspended for minutes. Then again, he only cared what his friends would say, rather than what the community would as a whole.

Arata reached his house and noticed how dim the Ginmachi residence was that night. It could be because they all had to sleep early out of fatigue and worry about Yuuta. He had been for almost an entire week, and even Yukari's extracurriculars and study were disturbed by this. He should ask Yukari out sometime; but then again, he could be making it worse for her. He wondered how long should he wait to get a bit of her free time.

He finally entered his bedroom and stretched a little. He got rid of his dirty clothes and threw them in the laundry basket set to be laundered before going to school on Saturday. He changed into more comfortable clothing, activating any effect as if he was going out again. He sat in front of his computer and logged into the forums, seeing the various posts about the Flower Festival event. He used his mouse to flip through the posts, only to have him receive a notification for a mention.

"Wow, they know I'm online?" He could only chuckle. With that long list of online players on the side, how did they know he was online? It baffled him.

It was on a post regarding the Dates during the Flower Festival event. Pantsu was asking if anyone had ever unlocked a secret request, and how to spot one. Devin was already there, but he did not give much indicators unlike when it was Arata's post. Botan did not get to unlock any, while Mumumu cried over the same issue since a second event album was too precious to pass. For some reasons, Arata paused scrolling as he saw who tagged him. Someone named Mama Ookami did, and they should be a friend of his in order to do so.

"This must be Sayaka..." He sighed before responding to Pantsu in text. "Yo, I opened one. It's called falling into the fountain water basin during Cora date in LP Flower Tunnel. Bummed emoticon."

"You fell into a what?" Botan sent with laughing emoticons.

"How did you even trigger that?" Pantsu arrived with angry emoticons. "Ah, so OP."

"I just tried catching the leaves that fell after we cleared the water basin. Cora fell victim to the joke MC made for Ruby. Remember the cleansing of the water gods?" Arata started to chuckle as he remembered the joke. He received some laughing emoticons and lol's as replies.

"Even for me, that's a weird one." Devin came with laughing emoticons. "I can't spoil anything. The requests are awfully based on the day of the date, time of the date, who the date, and where the date!" A barrage of laughing emoticons followed.

"Just try not to be careful and make the date-able laugh. That's the cue, I think?" Arata shared the reaction as a basis of action. "And oh, so wow, much poetry."

All of a sudden, Horsepower replied as well. "I took Attori skateboarding in the arcade. Got sent to the hospital for busting the lip in a very bad way. I got the secret request, but didn't complete the date. What."

"Look who's alive now!" Pantsu laughed out followed with a patting emoticon. "Losing one date is less worse than losing a chance to get a secret request."

"Secret requests are absurd scenarios!" Botan sent some roars, activating the roar emoticons from everyone else's emoticon lists. It was a few tens of lines before text started being uttered in the thread again, Botan continuing. "(At) Charge Devin, any secret request you got?"

"Ruby asked me to pick a rose from the park. She just wanted to lick my blood." Devin laughed out, following his replies with some vampire emoticons. "Vampire Ruby costume when!"

"What's up with those scenarios?" Mumumu sent a the-scream emoticon. "Why are we experiencing this!?"

"They always look like they were not giving it thoughts, but end up planning for every single thing that happens in the game." Arata sighed along with the sigh emoticon he pressed thrice. "I bet there's a reason why they were asking us to do absurd tasks."

"How much do you bet?" Devin sent a devil laugh.

Botan answered in his stead. "There goes the devil again! Gah! I hate you, Devin!" He sent a shaking-head emoticon. "I don't like it when you datamine everything..."

"Sorry. I was just being a good servant to the OP one..." Devin sent a line of sweat emoticons.

"Nooooo! Servants don't mock their king!" Mumumu laughed out as she replied to the 'bad servant' with some angry emoticons in between. "Then again, I hate how Arata would get things right most of the time."

"Those are just mere guesses with a lot of speculations." The king sent in some sweat emoticons.

After spending a lot of time in the public posts, Arata turned to the private messages, cringing at all the other messages he had. He only browsed through the messages of those he knew from the game, but did not reply to anyone at all. Then again, another message from Devin arrived as he was checking their one-sided conversations.

"You rarely come see the forums. How are you?" The friend seemed to be worried for reasons that Arata could not think of, aside from because he was missing on a lot.

"I'm good. Thanks for worrying, though. You don't have to." He sent smileys as if they could alleviate the other's bad feeling. "I just get a little busy so I seldom have the time to talk." He then remembered a little thought earlier that night. "By the way, was the live for the Challenge mode done?"

"Yeah, but Horsie didn't show up. He used an excuse and didn't log in for a week. He just came back, I think." Devin was unsure as well. "I never saw his holy green light shine until earlier."

"Holy green light?"

"Huh? It's a new function in the forums. You can follow someone who had posted in like ten threads or more. Whenever they are in the forums, their names in the list will have a green dot. That's how I know whenever you're around." He followed with a barrage of devil laughs. Devin paused before sending another one. "Still no patch notes?"

Arata reached to massage his forehead. Just when he thought he could just go around the forums and stroll, he was actually being noticed by everyone who had followed him. He was a popular name in the game for topping the leaderboards a lot; it also helped that he was not scared to interact, or too smug when talking to others. It was a headache since he was not trying to attract the attention of a lot of players. He had no idea he was walking blindly into the spotlight.

He then remembered he was talking to Devin. "Uh-huh. Can you do me a favor? Can you send me a short gist of what's new now?" Arata sent in a sighing emoticon. "Please, oh faithful servant." He just could not help but to laugh in front of the computer as he hit the send button.

"I'll get that ready for you, sire!" He sent hearts instead. "I just need to report for work now."

"Isn't it night time?" Arata replied, quite confidently because the time with Hideki jived with this world he now lived in.

Devin took quite a while before responding again. "Yes. My schedule is flexible this month so I work whenever I am asked to do so. Nothing really bad about it. I missed a lot of days anyway."

"Ah, must be hard to be working, huh." Arata lied down next to his keyboard, feeling the call of the expiring action time. He then closed his eyes before trying to open them again.

"It's getting really late. You should sleep, Arata."

"You don't have... to tell me..." His hand fell to his side, and the man started snoring as he slept on the desk again.

Morning came, and Arata woke up with a sore neck and back around the shoulders. His body was twisted in a bad way last night, and holding that position for the entire night made the pain worse. He kept on rubbing his back even when he met with Cora who was in the lounge. He did let her in earlier after all. They got out of the property and soon saw Yukari and her little brother going out of the house.

"You look like you're sore!" Yukari immediately pointed it out as soon as she saw the tired man who kept on rubbing his back. "You better rest on the bus. Let's see if I could massage you a little when we get to school."

"Wow, thanks for the service!" Arata laughed out a little, feeling the strain as his body shook. Maybe it was bad to overtire himself even though he only had eight action times in a day.

They went further into the path towards the bus stop, only for them to see Tohru and Keiko standing together underneath the roof. Arata walked faster as if congratulating their conciliation, only to be shocked by the next words coming from the childhood friend's mouth.

"I'll surely get her someday. You don't need to act like you care."

Arata stared at Keiko, as much as Yukari did. However, they could not start a scene as Yuuki was with them, holding the hand of his older sister. The three greeted their schoolmates like nothing happened, but Arata kept on looking at the other girl. Keiko noticed his gaze, before she smiled at his direction.

'Did this kind of rivalry exist before?' He thought as he looked away, and entertained Yuuki instead.

Hamasaki Arata was an avid dating sim gamer, building one harem after another in his little cyberspace. However, he just happened upon a newly released dating sim game called Player-kun Complex. In-game, the women the player maxes would be obsessed with loving the player in what seemed to be a compulsive way, which is like developing a complex. Seeing the gorgeous arts as part of the game's introduction, Arata immediately downloaded it.

After months, he was able to reach end game, maxing all the available women referred to as 'date-ables'. Just when he was getting bored of the game, the developers announced a major update, adding new date-ables and the notorious Encounter Mode. Like any other loyal player, Arata patched the game. He did while walking home and met a rather fatal accident.

Basically dying with the phone in his hands, Hamasaki Arata gets transported inside the game. Now, Arata meets all the date-able heroines that he maxed, and had to manage living in their synchronized routes. Not to mention the new ones he wanted to unlock and max as well.

This begins a struggle of a nobody turned into a living god in a world he had built in his little cyberspace.

Vampires appear to have existed before the first Empyrean awoke, however there isn't much history dating back then.

The first vampires were dubbed as Progenitors. They carried the strongest and the most pure bloodlines. Their strength was so unparalleled that only the Werewolves had any chance of rivaling them.

The bite of a vampire does not turn one into a vampire. It turns one into a ghoul. A ghoul is one of the weakest and most easiest vampiric monster to defeat. Ghouls do not have the ability to turn others nor do they command blood magic.

Any race may be converted into a vampiric being through ingesting the blood of a Tier 2 Vampire then immediately perishing.

Vampires below Tier 4 weak towards Sunlight and holy energy.

Like vampires, werewolf history before the Empyrean awoke is virtually non-existent. 

The first werewolves were dubbed as Ancestors. They had the most physically powerful bodies. Speed and strength so strong that their only rivals were the Vampires.

Werewolves beneath Tier 2 aren't able to switch between their two forms at will. They require intense emotional changes to switch forms. Above Tier 2 Werewolves generally tend to enjoy staying in their Beast forms due to the additional power they derive from it.

The bite of a werewolf transfers a curse known as Lycanthropy which will allow the person to turn into a Lycan/Werewolf.

Tier 3 and below Werewolves  are susceptible to silver and holy energy.

Their physical strength vastly exceeds that of vampires in the same Tier.

"Wow. Werewolves might seem weak when compared to vampires just due to one race having an innate mage ability but to think they've kept up with the vampires even with their powers. How strong are they?" Haven muttered.

"Unfortunately, this information, as valuable as it is, isn't very useful to me." Haven sighed. "I've known about this already and there aren't any books that state what exactly their skills are."

Haven tapped his chin in thought. He wondered where he would be able to find info on a subject like this.

Not long after that, an epiphany flashed through his mind.

The Forums!

Haven smiled at his discovery. There were bound to be people that have race changed into a vampire or a werewolf and many would have posted about their abilities online.

After all, the game had been out for around 1.3 years or so. He was even willing to bet that many people must have chose the random option. They might have gotten the vampire or werewolf race based on their luck.

Excited, he found a safe spot and logged out.

When he came to, his bedroom greeted him. It wasn't anything fancy but due to his special constitution (aka fat body) gym posters, hung across his walls.

Taking off the Neural Headset, he walked over to his computer and logged into the forums. After a while of searching he found the relevant information that he was looking for.

Haven rubbed his eyes in shock.

"Holy shit. That's so broken. If those two races have specs like that... then... What the hell am I?" Haven questioned himself, a grin brokering on his face.

Haven creates a his first ever character in a virtual reality game known as Empyrean. During character creation, he get extremely (un)lucky and is granted access to a race like no other.

Just like that, Wen Xinya's high school life started on such a chaotic day. After school had officially started, Zhou Tianyu and Gu Junling came over to look for her together.
Upon seeing Wen Xinya, Zhou Tianyu smiled and teased her. "Miss Wen, you're now a famous personality of our school—your name hangs high up on the school's discussion forums, enjoying extreme fame."
Gu Junling laughed. "But of course—with Miss Wen's glamor, she'd definitely shine wherever she goes!"
Wen Xinya stared at them uncontrollably and sighed. "Fame portends trouble for men just as fattening does for pigs. I'd originally intended to lay low and complete the three years of high school. However, my plans didn't catch up with the changes—the situation took it's own course regardless of my wishes. I didn't look for trouble, but trouble looked for me!"
Zhou Tianyu looked at her with a sarcastic look, lightly patted her shoulder, and said, "Wow, Miss Wen, I'm really in awe of you to be able to offend people wherever you go. Just how unlikeable are you—I'm really filled with deep compassion for you."
Wen Xinya forbore the strong wish to kick her. "You've especially come to make fun of me right! Wonder who previously said that she'd watch over me if I came to Lan Feng—in the end, where were you on the day I first reported to school?"
Zhou Tianyu hurriedly bargained. "I'm already a sophomore, a senior, so I don't have to report in person."
Wen Xinya was also saying for fun. "What's on the discussion forums?"
Zhou Tianyu already knew that Wen Xinya did not have the habit of watching the posts on the discussion forums, and did not have a clue on what was happening. "What else but the grudges between you and Xia Ruya."
Wen Xinya already guessed and vaguely knew the contents of the post.
Zhou Tianyu looked serious. "You exposed Xia Ruya's true colors in front of so many people, but someone only has to act innocent and shed some tears in order to clean herself up. There are no negative posts on Xia Ruya, everyone only feels that the Xia Family is ungracious. Although everyone feels that you're not in the wrong, people feel that you're ultimately too harsh and overbearing in treating others. They've even brought up the matter on you previously bringing a number of press media companies to court, causing a few of them to close down."
Indeed—Wen Xinya took a deep breath—previously, although Chu Jingnan had not publicly defended Xia Ruya, he was ultimately standing on her side. Wen Xinya rolled her eyes uncontrollably and said, "I'm only ordinary friends with him—stop your wild guesses!"
However, Zhou Tianyu did not believe one bit. She retrieved a photo on her phone and showed it to her. "I saved all the photos on the discussion forums. How dare you bluff me!"
Wen Xinya leaned in to take a look. The photo was taken beautifully—under the gorgeous branches filled with crepe myrtle flowers in full bloom, Zhong Rufeng looked down slightly at the young girl smiling innocently under the tree, with a gentle and mesmerizing smile on his face.
She diverted the topic and said, "Who took this photo? What great photography skills! I'll definitely look for him if I were to take artistic shots in the future."
"Still lying—take a look at this one!" Zhou Tianyu leered at her as she swiped to another photo.
It was a photo of her leaning on the trunk of the crepe myrtle tree, laughing her heart out at the ticklish tree, looking as gorgeous as a flower, and Zhong Rufeng reaching out to pick the flowers on the branches. The photo easily led one to wild thoughts. "Miss… there's something called photography angle in this world—don't you need me to tell you this!"
Zhou Tianyu completely ignored what she said and smiled cheekily. "'Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, for the same flower that smiles today, tomorrow will be dying!'—what a romantic sight!" Saying which, she stared at Wen Xinya and said, "Silly girl, be honest—did Senior Zhong place those crepe myrtle flowers on your hair?"
Wen Xinya stared at Zhou Tianyu, speechless—she never realized that this girl was so gossipy. "Senior Zhong plucked the flowers to be poetic—ordinary folks like you guys, with brains full of love and relationships, wouldn't understand."
Zhou Tianyu burst out laughing. "Senior Zhong is so awesome—even being poetic while dating. Indeed, he's at a level that we ordinary folks can't understand."
Wen Xinya said helplessly, "Look at my small body, totally not at the age for dating. You stop babbling nonsense before giving Zhong Rufeng a bad reputation for being a pedophile."
Zhou Tianyu burst out laughing again as she pointed at Wen Xinya, laughing so hard that she fell into Gu Junling's arms, and then pointed at Wen Xinya again. "You're being too absurd. Although you have a smaller body, it can't be considered as a child at all!"
Zhou Tianyu's words made Gu Junling start laughing uncontrollably as well. "In the ancient times, girls as old as you can already be married off and have kids." 
Wen Xinya couldn't help but kick Gu Junling. "To the hell with you. Don't you use the tactic of the ancient times to bring disaster onto an underage young girl? You have the least right to say things like this."
Mentioning that, Gu Junling really did not have a strong foundation. With the ancient times as benchmark, he and Zhou Tianyu's kids could have already been having fun. All the four girls were circling around the screen as they watched an unexpected and surprising scene being played on the screen.
The screen showed the scene of a dojo.
Two people were clashing their swords with each other. The swords were of wood, so there was not a feel of a fierce fight in which lives were at stack.
But there was still a feel of nervousness, excitement and anticipation.
Moreover, the scene didn't look like something that was scripted. It looked real.
"Oh my god!! Why is Xin Ren clashing swords with that burly guy?"
One of the girls said as she put her hand on her lips.
"I don't know but he seems to be losing."
"Isn't this just scripted?"
Long Lu asked as she furrowed her brows but her three roommates shook their heads a little and replied.
"I don't think it's scripted."
"If it was scripted, Xin Ren would be winning, not losing."
"Yes and the person he's fighting is probably a master."
All the other three girls stared at the girl who said the last sentence. She was someone who used to learn kendo in high school.
She knows much more than the other three.
Seeing all her roommates staring at her, she sighed and began to explain.
"First of all, the posture of the burly guy is refined and he has probably practiced swords since he was young. It shows when he blocks the attacks."
"What do you mean? I can't see anything to refine from that."
Long Lu stared hard at the screen but she was not able to see anything. The other girl frowned and pointed at the screen with her finger.
"Look closely at the time when the burly guy blocks Xin Ren's attack."
The other girls looked closely and they soon noticed something surprising.
The screen showed Ren trying to attack the burly man on his shoulder but before his sword could even get close to his shoulder, the sword was blocked.
The surprising part was that the burly man was moving his sword even before Ren's attack.
It can only mean one thing. The burly man was guessing where Ren would attack and he was effectively blocking the attacks too.
He was truly a master!!
"But why is the burly man fighting with Ren?"
One of the girls raised this question and the others started to discuss.
"Yes, it's weird."
"Maybe we can find something from the comments section."
Long Lu said and opened up the comments section.
The comments section was jammed with thousands of comments coming in every second. One has to pause it to read the comments.
-I never thought that I would see a mock battle in A celebrity daily life. 
-Yes, it's really exciting but why is Xin Ren fighting with that burly guy?
-I don't know that either. I just came here after everyone started recommending this.
-Well, I will tell you about it. Actually, Xin Ren is learning martial arts or I should say swordsmanship and that burly guy is his trainer.

-It was not revealed but the fight is exciting anyway.

Long Lu said as she went over all the comments but with the rapid speed of comments, she wasn't able to read all of them. 
Instead, she focused on watching the broadcast.
Just some minutes ago, she was happily watching the broadcast featuring her favourite celebrity which was a heavenly king to booth.
But now, she was excitedly watching another broadcast.
It was because A celebrity daily life was more interesting and she soon got engrossed in it. She even forgot about A house date with Meng Meng.
As they were all watching the broadcast, one of the girls took out her phone and logged into the university forums. She soon opened a thread.
[Everyone, quickly tune in to A celebrity daily life. It's really exciting!!]
That was the title of that thread and it soon got many replies. It was because the ID of the girl was already famous in the university forums.

For one second, they even thought that she was sick or something but when they thought about both of the broadcasts, it made sense.
The heavenly king was elegant, refined and looked like a prince but he seems to be arrogant. Anyone can see that he was just being humble.
Ren was the opposite of him. He may not be as handsome as him but he looked to be hard working and he was even looking manly, fighting against the burly guy.

Ye Ci's praised worked its charm. Bai Mo rubbed the bridge of his nose and giggled as he walked into the kitchen. With Bai Mo gone, Ye Ci focused her attention back on the computer.

Bai Mo reappeared after a short while, dumping a bag of vegetables on Ye Ci's desk, "Help me sort these out. Why didn't you at least get the rice ready when I'm still online? It's so late now. Do you want to die of starvation or something?"

Ye Ci silently enabled the auto scrolling function and began sorting out the vegetables without once removing her attention away from the screen. This aroused Bai Mo's curiosity, "The heck are you looking at?"

"Huh? It's nothing. I'm looking at a dragon." Ye Ci replied absentmindedly.

"A Dragon?" Bai Mo was astonished after listening to Ye Ci's words. He nudged Ye Ci aside and began reading the same thread as he worked on sorting the vegetables.

Bai Mo exclaimed in awe as he watched the videos, "Wow! That's a huge Dragon! Holy shit! It killed so many by breathing fire! That's so awesome!"

Ye Ci chuckled and continued her task of sorting the vegetables.

Bai Mo eventually quieted down after his initial excitement. As Ye Ci raised her head, she found him exploring the other threads on the forums, and paid him no heed. She was hungry. And when she was hungry, she was unable to focus, and would even become grumpy.

Just then, Bai Mo spoke up, "Oi, you had nothing to do with the appearance of that red Dragon right?"

"Why do you ask?"

Bai Mo pointed at one of the threads, "Well according to this thing here, the red Dragon appeared in the Swamp of Sorrows and butchered the players in the area because the battle between the Eastern Continent and Northern Continent players because they've disturbed the ley lines in that place."

Ye Ci's mouth twitched, "Oh come on… Ley lines? In a Western Fantasy game? Are you sure this guy is okay?"

"Don't dodge the question. I know that the theory might not be true, but I saw something in the screenshots he posted," Bai Mo narrowed his eyes as he stared at Ye Ci, "It was that dumb and gluttonous dino of yours."

"Eh?" Ye Ci was momentarily stunned. She had thought that with the appearance of the red Dragon, nobody would focus their attention on the battle itself. She shoved her head closer to the monitor, and saw her pet in the screenshots. Although she did not appear in the photo, the huge size of Ol' Four and its fierce appearance is a hard thing to miss. The series of screenshots was just like a photobook for Ol' Four, with pictures of the beast from different angles. Ye Ci was gloomy. Was that guy a wildlife photographer or something?

"See? I told you. That's your dumb dinosaur right there! Look at that fat ass of his... I highly doubt that there are any pets with such a formidable size other than yours. I've always thought that it's a good-for-nothing, but damn it's quite ferocious in a fight!" Bai Mo chuckled, poking fun at Ol' Four's appetite and its slightly obese figure.

The statue's size was around that of a small building. It was made of some unknown black material that gave it an otherworldly shine, only enhancing the image of the Hero.

Beyond the statue laid a long winded path that stretch forward into a small green pastures and beyond that was the opening to a forest. Its dense trees gave Erin close to zero visibility of what may have laid within.

When he turned around however, he noticed that there was a wide street, bustling with much activity. There were many NPC's walking about and Players who were haggling prices.

Some shops had an interesting variety of items laid in display. Magic potions, swords and even tailored clothing seemed to blend in quite well.

Erin had read about this place. This was where every player in the world started their journey in the Critical world, The Island of beginnings.

Yes, an island.

The island was perhaps around 140 Kilometers in length and a majority of it was taken up by the massive city that was nestled within. The rest of the island was filled with lush forests or even wide pastures.

Erin turned forwards once more to regard the statue. He had read on the forums that there was a small plaque beneath the statue that told of the history of this island.

Sure enough, as he looked for it, he found it.

Beasts, monsters and even people of other races. Honduras saw that the other races had a prosperous economy and strong kingdoms.

Erin's eyes flashed with various thoughts as he glanced at the majestic statue. He sighed in slight admiration.

Although this world was a game, Erin was sure that if he was put in Honduras's shoes, he wouldn't have been able to accomplish even 1/10th of what the first king did.

Erin turned behind him and glanced at the massive city before him. Without hesitation, he walked in, ready to search for opportunities to grow stronger.

However, he knew that he wasn't ready. His skills in combat were sub par compared to the veteran players who had been playing the game ever since it came out. They had all encountered numerous life and death situations which had evolved their skills and made them predators instead of prey.

Erin had to become like that, a predator.

But first thing was first.

With their departure, Young Master Han and Brother Assist dove straight into that room that they were always occupying. War Without Wounds and Royal God Call rushed over in no time. Seeing that the bar was nearly empty, they quickly figured out what had happened and also hurriedly made their way to their usual room. 
Inside, Brother Assist was currently counting all the gold coins they had earned from this business venture as Young Master Han looked on. War Without Wounds and Royal God Call originally intended to ask about the situation with Silver Moon, but the thought quickly fled their minds upon seeing the dazzling pile of gold coins on the table. The two asked instead, "How much?"
Brother Assist just finished emptying the last coin pouch. Lifting his head to look at the two, Brother Assist steadied himself first before he carefully announced, "18400 gold coins!"

"We collected 3000 gold coins more than what we had initially expected. Although some guilds out there did not come despite our invitation, even more people whom we had not invited turned up." Brother Assist picked up two coin pouches and weighed them in his hand. Before the four men was not a small mountain of gold coins but a pile of coin pouches stacked up high.
"18400 gold coins… Each of us gets 4580 gold coins! AHHHHH!" Royal God Call danced excitedly. Players could strut on the streets if they had several hundreds of gold coins in their pouches, while those with several thousands of gold coins could nonchalantly order two glasses of liquor in the taverns in one go – one to drink and one to pour to waste.

Drifting stared fixedly at the mountain of coin pouches, but his expression was a lot calmer than Royal God Call and War Without Wounds.
"Who are you? Get out!" Royal God Call went over to drive him out.
Drifting reached out, ruffled Royal God Call's hair, and he pulled him to the side.
"I wanna have a deathmatch with you!" Royal God Call declared, fuming.
Two more heads poked out from behind Drifting. It was Left Hand of Love and Right Hand of Cool.
"Duel means one versus one. You better not play foul!" Royal God Call quickly added.
No one bothered with him.
Left Hand of Love and Right Hand of Cool retracted their heads as Drifting entered the room and casually occupied a seat, "I'm the one who has done the most work today, so I deserve to take 4000 gold coins!"
He was not necessarily lying. When Drifting became the man of the hour due to Gu Fei's disruption, he had to 'entertain' all those leaders and fend off all their queries as best as he could. As for Young Master Han and Brother Assist, all they had to deal with was the mental roller-coaster that the situation had created. They came close to problems but always managed to extricate themselves from it. The point was that it was not a particularly tiresome task, so it was definitely not as difficult as what Drifting had to go through.
"Didn't we already agree on 3000 gold coins before?" Young Master Han began to negotiate with Drifting.
"When did we settle on that?" Drifting shot back.
"You opened with 3000, and I accepted that!" Young Master Han raised his three fingers.
"Didn't you show me two fingers to represent 2000 gold coins, to which I said we would discuss the matter later?" Drifting refuted his claim.
Young Master Han shook his head and lifted his two fingers, "You're mistaken. This doesn't mean 2000 gold coins. This means 'Oh, yeah. I accept!'"
Drifting was flabbergasted.
"Stop nagging! Since you've already settled the price, just take your money and leave!" Royal God Call quickly lifted three pouches of 1000 gold coins and tossed them over to Drifting.
"Forget it. 3000 gold coins it is!" Drifting waved his hand, showing his generosity. He then took the three pouches and stood up, "I'll take my leave now." With that, he left. 
Royal God Call stuck himself next to the doorway and watched Drifting leave the bar before turning around and laughing uproariously.
"What's so funny?" the three asked, nonplussed.
"That d*mb*ss!" Royal God Call replied between breaths, "Out of the three coin pouches I gave him, one only has 400 gold coins in it."
The three exchanged glances.
"It's time for us to split the money!" Royal God Call did some quick maths, "There are 16000 thousand gold coins here, so we can just take 4000 gold coins each."
War Without Wounds was about to say something when Young Master Han waved his hand to interrupt, "Let's split the money evenly! Let's not worry about the minor details, or this will never end."
War Without Wounds was intending to mention the extra compensation he was promised at the start, but he decided to just forget about it when he heard Young Master Han's words. This whole matter had plenty of twists and turns, and it was truly not possible to quickly make a proper account of everything, so they might as well split everything evenly and be done with the matter completely.
As the four grabbed four coin pouches each, the curtain of the room rustled once more. The four of them looked up and Brother Assist was the first to speak, "Hey, Sword Demon!"
Sword Demon nodded in greeting, entered the room, and took a seat.
The four were still holding on to their coin pouches, and for some unknown reason, the sight of Sword Demon made them feel somewhat ashamed. War Without Wounds pushed one of the coin pouches in front of him over to Sword Demon, "Want one?"
Sword Demon smilingly shook his head.
"You're done with Silver Moon?" Royal God Call changed the subject, asking the question he and War Without Wounds had originally wanted to inquire about.
Sword Demon nodded his head.
"Do we need to inform Miles?" Royal God Call looked at Young Master Han with an expression that showed his glee in reveling in someone else's misery. No Smile was one such target that Gu Fei had set his eyes on, and Royal God Call would love to see Silver Moon experience the same thing as No Smile's.
"No need," Young Master Han replied.
"Ending this only after three kills? That's not like you!" Royal God Call said. Although Young Master Han was a Priest, he lacked compassion for others. He's so indifferent that he would even sacrifice them if the need arose, treating enemies and friends alike as cold as the winter's frost.
"I mean we don't have to act on it ourselves anymore," Young Master Han clarified.
"Who's gonna do it, then?" Royal God Call asked, puzzled.
Young Master Han gave a slight smile, "Who else do you think would? When everyone left, Dusky Cloud also brought his men out in a rush, not even bothering to bid us goodbye."
"Oh!" The rest of them finally remembered that episode.
"Such deep hatred!" Royal God Call marveled, "It's been so long, yet Dusky Cloud still has such strong desire for revenge."
"Didn't they recognize each other in the bar from the start?" Brother Assist wondered.
"Dusky Cloud was the first to arrive, so he sat by the front. Silver Moon was one of the last few to enter, so he sat behind. If Silver Moon didn't have so many things to say, Dusky Cloud would not even notice him in that crowd. By the way things have turned out, it's likely that Dusky Cloud has already set his eyes on him, yet Silver Moon is still unaware of it," Young Master Han explained.
"What goes around really comes around!" everyone sighed repeatedly.
"Let's just sit and wait for some news!" Young Master Han was quite self-possessed as he took up a comfortable pose, "Ray, bring me two bottles of your most expensive liquor."

Young Master Han chuckled, "I have the money, all the guild leaders are pretty much satisfied, and Miles doesn't seem to be holding a grudge; what more could I ask for?"
"What?" Sword Demon was not in the 'meet and greet', so he knew nothing of what had transpired during it.
Young Master Han narrated the situation as succinctly as he could, and Sword Demon listened to him wordlessly, only asking at the end, "Miles seems to have come prepared, so who told him?"
Young Master Han shrugged his shoulders, "You should ask him that yourself."
"Brother Assist has announced it on the forums. Maybe, Miles read it there," Sword Demon hypothesized.
"Does that guy even know how to visit the forums?" Young Master Han snorted derisively. 
"That's hard to say for sure," Sword Demon replied. 
"Then, it's just a coincidence," Young Master Han stated simply.
It was indeed purely coincidental. Gu Fei had 'coincidentally' visited the game forums that particular day. However, this was not something unprecedented. Gu Fei would always visit the forums every five levels to search for a grinding map with humanoid monsters that he could use his kung fu on. It just so happened that he rose to level 40 that day, so he visited the forums to begin his research after getting offline.
Brother Assist's posts originally did not enter Gu Fei's notice, but because the matter of an Insta-kill Mage was riveting to many, his posts made it all the way to the top of the forums. Given his familiarity with Brother Assist, Gu Fei casually read through one of his posts out of sheer curiosity, only to discover that the latter had continued with his plan to use Gu Fei in his moneymaking scheme.
Gu Fei felt very helpless. He did not wish to be treated like a product that could be sold, but he also did not wish to quarrel with his friends over it. In the end, Gu Fei decided to approach it as something to entertain himself.
