-the resilience test you need to find a certain item in a world both chosen by the instructor, there is a time limit determined by the instructor for this one and the 'world' is just an illusion space with an item that will remove the space when found and collected

with the main body of origin being the core of the primordial ancient void the energies there are so dense anything not strong enough dies and on the outskirts of it there is the voids of other novels that are much less dangerous

Indeed, High humans is one of the best races in any RPG. Although I lack physical raw power, I might be able to make it up with my high magic stats. The best thing about them for me is their lifespan!

Modern Earth was quiet on that day, the day that three worlds collided with ours. Well, more of returned.

You see, Earth was once connected to thousands of worlds, a chain of energy so vast and unhinged that chaos was a thing of normality. Wars amongst races and planets was not something to marvel at, but something to relish. 

But Earth was one of the lower classes, a species of undeveloped humans being more of a zoo animal then an actual functioning race. And in the time energy needed to be conserved, Earth was picked to be separated. Becoming one of the many planets that no longer were connected to that chain, planets like this called The Adrift.

And so, Earth finally developed over billions of years, and the world now was thrust into the limelight. The once idiotic and brute of a human race replaced by ones of intelligence and curiosity. 

Then, it happened, something no one could of seen coming. Earth fell into a path of three worlds, a smaller weaker chain created out of the four worlds.

Earth, a world of modern society. Odin, a world of swirling energy ready to explode. Ragnarok, a never ending world of beasts, and Requiem, a place of nothingness.

And so, Earth was exposed to Odin's massive swirl of energy, evolving humans into a society were growth was common and feats of strength wide spread. But, that also meant the creatures of Ragnarok began to mutate and change. 

Soon, Earth would be invaded by Monsters of untold strength and abilities, the worlds falling into chaos. 

In that darkness, the humans united in their best efforts, trying everything they could to suppress the waves of Monsters.  And after five hundred years of pushing back, humanity finally secured a foothold, modern society flourishing as they used the materials from the creatures they slaughtered.

And a new profession was now sought after. Slayers, those who hunted Monsters and protected the lives of humanity. Making sure that Ragnarok and Earth stayed separate. 

Also during this time, Earth created a super continent called Hope, so that the war torn land was not a place of refuge, moving 90% of the population there. 

Slayers also discovered two anomalies about the worlds they were now forced to live by. Requiem was indeed a world of nothing, but a world in which Slayers could practice battles without actually dying, the travel back extinguishing all injuries. Meaning it became a world of simulation battles for the hundreds of Academies that soon popped up to train generations of Slayers. 

The other discovery was that if humans drank the blood of Monsters, they would gain their characteristics without changing their bodies. Though, this was only successful for those who have breathed in the air on Ragnorak.

Meaning a new form of Slayer was born. Monster Slayers. It become everyone's dream to become a Monster Slayer, but soon hierarchy took ahold and those with weaker abilities would fall and those with great ones would become rich and famous.

But soon, none of that would matter, especially after what befell upon Earth on March 27, ME 880.

The world soon reminded that Beast was always stronger.

Ryu Haruto was above average student on Earth. His hobby was reading novels. He was also good in studies too but was easily bored so the hobby of reading novels.
One day after spending whole day reading novels he got tired and got ready to hit the bed for the day. But he didn't think it will be his last day on earth.
He opened his eyes and he saw that he was in a white room with a beautiful goddess. As lover of novels he inferences that either he was dead or he was dreaming. So he decided to talk to the other person present there.
Ryu : "Hello, My name is Ryu Haruto. Can you tell me where are we and who are you?"
Yue : "Oh, aren't you the polite one. My name is Yue, the Moon Goddess. We are now between  the living and the dead."
Ryu : "Can you tell me what am I doing here?"
Yue : "You died and I summoned your soul here."
Ryu : "Eh! I am dead. How? I remembered I was alright before I slept. What happened?"
Yue : "You fell from your bed and hit your head. You died after that and I summoned you here because I was bored. Anything else?"
Ryu : "Oh! *sigh* Why have you summoned me?"
Yue : "I just used summoning and it was random and you are here."
Ryu : "Why did you summoned me?"
Yue : "I want you to go to other world and spread my name. I will give you 5 wishes for it if you're up for it."
Ryu : "Fine, I will do it."
Yue : "So, tell me your wishes."
Ryu : "Before that let me ask. Can my wishes change anything on earth too?"
Yue : "Yes and no. Yes if it's not too much and you can't go there or grant magical powers there."
Ryu : "My first wish is to let my Parents and siblings live their life healthy and without illness."
Yue : "Oh! It's simple. Done. Next?"
Ryu : "I want best energy, body and soul cultivation techniques."
Yue : "No can do. I can give you the best technique for them which are suitable for the world you would go. I can't disrupt too much of the world order."
Ryu : "Fine, but make it that I don't have to change it when changing worlds."
Yue : "This can be done."
Ryu : "Third. I want a personal dimension in which I can control time flow, cultivate, grow plants and animals."
Yue : "Ok but its size will be small  and time is 3 times. If you want more understand space and time laws."
Ryu : "I will take that. Fourth. I want a system with all features helping me reaching the top of the worlds I'll visit."
Yue : "Done."
Ryu : "Fifth. I want body capable of cultivation all types of energy with no bottlenecks and high comprehension."
Yue : "No can do. There will be bottlenecks. You can have comprehension and use it to break through. Now tell me which world you want to go first."
Ryu : "I will go to Naruto world first. Time will be when Tsunade was born." I am coming Tsuna and gonna make you my wife. Hahaha.
Yue : "Ok. FYI, you're a soul so I can hear what you are thinking. So get going and don't forget to spread my name."

So this is another story about how a guy with a system got into another world.  And ask how it differs from the rest.  Well, in the first place of our innocent guy the gods cursed. This is my first work or book.

In less than one day, fifty-seven Assassins scattered across the Empire vanished with their kill teams. White smears were all that were found of most of them.

 The next day, a hundred and six more vanished. Very quietly, Assassin teams on active missions across many, many worlds began to go dark. The fact their mission details had been decoded at the Mountain might have had something to do with that, and the Ranthas had been urgently getting Riftcutting coordinates for more and more worlds, adding new ones every day in ever-increasing numbers as the number of Alias-class ships continued to increase, and Ranthas and Briggs slowly dispersed across the Empire.

 Retrieval teams could reach ever more worlds faster and faster, starting with the Seat worlds and moving out from there according to population.

 On a quieter note, the absences of over five hundred different V&V recovery teams was not missed at all. Given the number of planets in the Empire, it was unsurprising. There were well over a million more inhabited worlds, after all, what was .05% going silent? Just no children of interest getting born, was all...

 Ronnie Rantha, 'The Fantastic Rantha', threw the switch symbolically.

 She ran over the calculations and components one final time, and sisters actually smarter than she was double-checked all the math, just to be sure.

 Power hummed, subdued, yet strong.

 Building a planet-wide Ward to keep out the Warp was a hideously expensive and demanding process that probably wouldn't be viable until they could do full-on suntaps and use that level of energy in the construction process. Really, you'd need TL 20 fabbers to make it viable.

 But... the best way to lock out the Warp was to strengthen the Veil. The best tool to strengthen the Veil was vivic energy feeding into the land. The best thing to feed vivic energy with was death... death energy.

 The death energy collected by the Tekrons. The death energy that powered Dead Walking Events.

 By consuming the energy that started the one Event, they could also stop the other.

 The necroic siphons had been installed in every existing mega-city and kiloplex on the planet, harnessing the constant flow of negative energy from people dying from deaths natural and otherwise. The Tekrons used it to defy time and power their systems. She... was using it to build massive efficient vivic torches pumping that energy directly into the Veil, radiating out slowly and constantly from the vivic torches.

 She couldn't really tell if it was taking effect, as Nulls are only sensitive to breaches in the Veil, not to it getting stronger. However, Mindring Egil Rosenblaum, My Queen, and Shadowknife Terse were on hand to provide their opinion of the effectiveness of what was going on.

 Helices up, the men short and tall felt the Veil of Reality separating the planet from threats high and low. Transparent crystalline helices and liquid grey-silver reached out and felt, feeling the Veil flowing through and around them.

 "I'll defer to my Senior Brother, but by my estimation, the strength of the Veil has already doubled in this area, and it is expanding slowly," My Queen attested in his normal flat voice.

 The hyn slowly nodded. "The Prime Plane is not my expertise, but that seems reasonable. How fast is it expanding?"

 "We believe about a foot for every person dying in range, below about the hundred an hour required to maintain it. If we manage to saturate the planet, the maintenance rate should plummet to half that rate or less," Ronnie sighed.

 That was indeed a lot of people dying. Fortunately or otherwise, it wasn't a hard number to meet for even the smaller kiloplexes. The megacities had no difficulties doing so whatsoever.

 "Based on calculations, how long will it take for the planet to be Shrouded?"

 "Three or four weeks, unless there's a mass genocide event to spur things along."

 "That should reach the Warp Zone very quickly then..."

 "No." Ronnie shook her head, a faraway look in her eyes. "The Warp Zone is coming down within three days."

 "Oh." Egil naturally had seen the Celestial Tribute, so he knew about the great ship, and the delays that had been taken before it would take off. The Warp Zone had been termed cleared months ago, and a trooper named Kalek Hash had been credited with the last demon kill within it, and was promptly dubbed 'The Final Nail.'

 "Because I just hit Fifteen, and I just figured out the next stage of the Tachyon Drive."

 Ronnie's achievement rippled across Markspace, igniting a nerd frenzy. Countless Ranthas and Briggs bemoaned and celebrated her Achievement as she took over first place on the Leveling Leaderboards.

 As the NPC Expert Class.

 NPC Classes required half the Karma to advance that a PC class did, and a twelfth or less of what advancing the Rantha racial Class did. Just not having to pay full price for breaking the Ceiling at Ten ensured that she'd catch up to the Ranthas who had made Eleven, and would blow right on by them... which she had, in dramatic fashion.

 A viable, useful, self-sustaining method to vastly increase the strength of the Veil on a planetary level was a huge defense against the Warp, as it made Warp Events nigh impossible, Warp Sorcery very hard to pull off, and even tamped down general psionic ability.

 In an engineering chamber in the core of the great ship in Tribute City, at the heart of the Warp Zone, a certain Spell Weaver knew that its day was at hand as it unmade the great formation erected upon the mighty power cores of the great ship, and laughed and laughed as the great work was undone, his master's plan was foiled, and it, it was responsible!

 Then Constanz Rantha killed it, triggering her own leap to Eleven, and that vivic energy went into the collapsing formation, and out.

 The Warp Zone exploded with vivic power on a scale none of us had ever seen. Seething dimensional touches that had been briefly held at bay now collapsed entirely as the energy that had sustained them was consumed. A whole world's worth and more of energy, ripped directly from the Warp, ignited, shearing across time and space, and rolled across the world like a harrowing wind.

 The psions could all feel it, like a massive, living force, pushing against their minds and souls, the feeling of a great and massive force rolling over and, if not waking, responding to a mighty stimulus. A screaming white wind tore across the world, and began to unmake what had been made.

 The life seared away by the energies of the Warp erupted as that energy was returned to the land. Time and space were unmade, and DNA from dust and ash long past respun into living organisms once more.

 Grasses, shrubs, whole trees erupted forth. Water fell from the sky, burst forth from the land, and began to run. The caustic salts and bitter bases that dominated earth and sky spontaneously uncombined, and the ever-present dusts vanished from the air, and fell away into the land.

 Over a billion eyes in Janus Prime were watching the vid feed as that white wall swept across the Spiked Plains outside the city, and those endless razored crystalline formations, thrusting up from the supersaturated oceans below... fell apart and melted away, like sand castles in the rain.

 Behind them was left clear expanses of blue water, cold and clear and completely mind-blowing.

 Up in orbit, the ships and crews on station could only stare in awe as the white stretched out, all-hungry, all-devouring, chasing down every last bit of the time and space0rending energy that had turned the planet into what it was, and took it all back.

 Colors swirled through the yellow-white dust and haze that had covered the planet. The blues of water, the whites of ice, the greens of forest, the yellows of plains, the earth tones of hills and mountains. Clouds swirled into existence, storms began to run and rumble with new energy, and auroras suddenly danced about the poles of the planet as they never had before.

 "Sir, there's a ship rising from the Warp Zone!" called out a Marked member of Flight Control. 

 Admiral Ontif had been read in some time ago, and just stood there nodding. "Send the Duke Corunsun our congratulations, and wish him godspeed, Ensign!"

 "Yes, sir!" the controller called back, his voice not betraying a bit of emotion at the news.

 That flash of silver rose above the spreading vortex from the clear zone at the heart of the whiteness, where many an interested party could see that some sort of settlement had been constructed deep in the heart of the Warp Zone. 

 While those who were not read in were agog at the very idea of a settlement existing in the heart of a Warp Zone, the massive ship rose smoothly and lightly into orbit, moving with very little of the ponderous grace to be expected of a ship of its size... that size made quite noticeable by the numbers of escort craft that were rising with it.

 "Emperor's Throne!" blurted out a visiting captain from one of the walkways of the Orbus Station. "That's a colony ship!"

 There were two dreadnoughts pulling escort duty next to it, built with the new, clean lines of Angeltech shipyards, and a whole flotilla of cruisers, destroyers, frigates, scout vessels, fighters, transports, and cargo vessels.

 The whole flotilla, a fleet of new starships dwarfed by the silver hull of the mighty vessel they were escorting, paraded past the tower and the gaping eyes of the Fleet admiral and captains there for everyone to see.

 The amount of firepower there wasn't that far below the System Fleet!

 Moving with improbable speed, the flotilla streamed past the Threshold stations, picking up speed very quickly indeed, aiming for the nearest edge of the gravity field. The fighters smoothly docked to their carriers as they crossed the threshold of the gravity plane, and then the whole flotilla went to jam in perfect synchronicity, flashing away at a considerable chunk of the speed of light, and was lost to sight almost instantly.

 News of the Celestial Tribute, its fleet, and the Duke Corunsun commanding it had the astropathic stations of the whole sector humming in very short order. There was no doubt that it was definitely the hottest news item since the Rift itself had cut them off from the empire.

 In multiple Mechanist facilities, leading in a straight line to the Throneworld of the Sector, prominent cyborgs cursed and swore as they realized that thousands of years of plotting and planning had been for utterly nothing. Their only hope now was to attempt to claim the ship and its ancient technology for the good of the Empire. and try to investigate very harshly how it had been restored, and who was responsible for it.

 A day after the Tribute left Janusspace, all those individuals were dead by various accidents, including one very senior Mechwright who plugged himself into three different power circuits at the same time. Data raiders went in and managed to abscond with some very, very old Mechanist files that even the Guild's recovery teams were unable to find the contents of.

 Now, everyone wanted to know who the Duke Corunsun was, how he had done what he had, and why the Coronals and Umbrans hadn't bothered to do anything about it or announce the fact to anyone.

 Hard questions were going to be asked, and heavy hands were starting to move...

The mental devil seemed to have been convinced by Professor Mo Xuan. As it was deep in thought, the evil brilliance inside its eyes was even more intense than before, and the bloody thorns around Li Yao were dancing much more actively, too.
Li Yao's screams became more and more hoarse, as if he had been completely suppressed by the mental devil.
Professor Mo Xuan thought that the mental devil was really tempted. He was overjoyed. "How about it? There's no need for me to deceive you at all. By then, I will only need the world in cyberspace, and the bodies of the hundreds of billions of people in the entire federation will be the most prosperous home for the Blood Stripe Virus. No. Not just hundreds of billions. As long as the two of us join our hands, it is definitely possible to accomplish what the Mad Armageddon started ten thousand years ago and sweep across the entire universe!"
The mental devil sniffed, giving neither approval nor disapproval. "Blood God, the Mad Armageddon. You are truly cocky enough to compare us to him. Getting to the bottom of it, the two of us are merely two bumpkin extraterrestrial devils at the edge of the cosmos…"
"There's no other way now. We have no retreat," Professor Mo Xuan replied, half calmly and half insanely. "The Pangu Civilization is about to be reborn. The Alliance of the Holy Covenant is the best evidence. We also saw a living member of the Pangu Clan personally on Kunlun!
"The Pangu Clan cut their emotions with secret techniques, transforming themselves and all their vassal species into cold, heartless machines, for the sole purpose of destroying the soil in which Chaos, or the extraterrestrial devils, thrived!
"Chaos, the extraterrestrial devils, and the ancient Blood Stripe Virus were the same in the eyes of the Pangu Civilization. They were all evil energy lives. The sole significance of the Pangu Civilization seemed to be annihilating energy civilizations!
"Now, the existence of the Star Glory Federation is no longer a secret. Since the Imperium of True Human Beings is capable enough of discovering this place and launching an expedition army, one day, the Alliance of the Holy Covenant will discover us and send an expedition army, too, with the will of Pangu!
"The Pangu Civilization is cold and merciless. Do you think that they will let us go? By then, in a relatively better case, everybody will be brainwashed, their feelings and emotions gone. Kindness or evil, beauty or ugliness, all the emotions will be washed. After that, all individuals will be resealed with the 'Three Fundamental Laws' and turned into the walking dead and the most perfect tools!
"In the worst case, the entire habitable planet will be demolished and burnt into a translucent glass ball with overwhelming fire that is beyond the imagination of any human being. Not just human beings, even bacteria and viruses, which you considered carriers in the past, will not survive!
"It is definitely going to happen!
"For the Imperium of True Human Beings, this place is a conquerable territory, a land of high wealth and value. At the very least, the civilians here are slaves that can be exploited. So, the Imperium of True Human Beings has come to swallow this place. They won't completely destroy all the habitable planets or kill everyone here.
"But for the Alliance of the Holy Covenant and the Pangu Civilization behind it, the edge of the cosmos, savaged by the extraterrestrial devils, is a highly-infected area of plagues. They will not come here to conquer the place but to purge it!
"Do you see it now? The extraterrestrial devils and human beings should be good friends fighting by each other's side. Or rather, they should be in a deeply integrated symbiotic relationship. Whether you consider yourself an extraterrestrial devil or a human being, this is no time for an inner struggle! Let's build a powerful Human 2.0 civilization to bring out the maximal power of the Grand-Unified Spiritual Nexus. That's the only chance for us to resist the 'purge' of the Pangu Civilization. We may even be able to march to the center of the cosmos before we are attacked and exterminate the reborn Pangu Civilization while it is still in its cradle!"
The mental devil and Li Yao both widened their eyes.
Professor Mo Xuan was not just shouting desperately; he was also persuading them heartily.
The mental devil thought for a long time and then mumbled, "Then, I'm more confused now. Was the ideology of 'absolute peace' you mentioned just now merely an excuse?
"Most of the extraterrestrial devils feed on the intense emotional fluctuations of living creatures. If all the worlds you build up in the virtual world are as peaceful and eventless as Peach Blossom Paradise, there won't be too much intense emotion at all!
"Also, you know that the Pangu Civilization is gradually reviving. They have even found a strong spokesperson named the Alliance of the Holy Covenant. After they finish the Imperium of True Human Beings, they will certainly come here and 'purge' the Star Glory Federation. Still, you are planning to build virtual words of 'absolute peace'? Won't it destroy everybody's fighting will and get them killed in the end?"
Professor Mo Xuan was silent for a moment. Then he burst into laughter.
In his laughter, the whole world was shaking violently again. The sky and the earth collapsed. The furiously burning village turned into red, dancing butterflies before they became shiny crimson crystal balls far, far away.
Now, Li Yao, the mental devil, and Professor Mo Xuan were in the middle of space.
Glittering stars were all around them. Upon closer inspection, every star was a crystal ball in a different color that contained all the things in the tiniest details. They were all splendid and wonderful small worlds!
Hundreds of crystal worlds were emanating eccentric brightness in the deep, profound universe. An extremely thin wire extended from every world and was connected to Professor Mo Xuan's body.
Clusters of brightness as tiny as millet were transmitted into Professor Mo Xuan's body from the crystal worlds through the wires, as if they were providing powerful energy for him incessantly!
The mental devil looked around and observed, "This is…"
"Welcome to the deepest part of the Spiriters' Realm. If it weren't for the fact that you are my own kind, I never would have opened this place to you."
Professor Mo Xuan smiled. The thousand wires that were connected to him shivered quickly and pulled a few crystal balls over.
Behind him, the crystal balls were enlarged nonstop, and bloody scenes of war were clearly visible. Together, they constituted a cruel, ruthless world of killing.
"Your question does have a point. The challenges that Li Yao proposed just now were quite reasonable, too," Professor Mo Xuan said. "If everybody lives in a peaceful, quiet paradise after they enter the Spiriters' Realm, and they can get anything they want without any trouble, wouldn't the spirits and will of mankind be utterly deformed and destroyed? Where will the civilization of mankind go? How can it defend itself when faced with the Pangu Civilization or other alien species?
"Hehe. Even someone like Li Yao was able to think of the simple question. How could it have escaped my attention?"
Li Yao grunted while he was struggling in pain. "Hey, hey, hey. Professor, what do you mean by 'someone like Li Yao'? You extraterrestrial devils are too mean!"
Professor Mo Xuan finally glanced at him and smiled. "Li Yao, don't worry. I've got everything planned out for the civilization of mankind!
"Distress is the source of progress, and contentment is the beginning of decadence. The Spiriters' Realm is certainly much more than meaningless entertainment. In the Spiriters' Realm, there are both peaceful, quiet, carefree places such as 'Peach Blossom Village' and places where resolution and courage will be honed. There are also places where you can study all kinds of latest technology and explore the external world!
"Do you see those worlds of killing? They are as perfectly real as Peach Blossom Village and even more real than reality! After the souls of ordinary people enter them and receive the battle training of the highest intensity, they can also grow into great warriors to defend the civilization of mankind one day. By then, their souls will be projected to advanced 'battle shells', like what we did in Deep Blue Super Brain Hospital. Together with the help of the tremendous battle artificial intelligences, they will be the great army for us to resist the Pangu Civilization and march into the sea of stars!"
As Professor Mo Xuan introduced his plan, the pictures of battlefields in the crystal worlds were enlarged one after another.
It could be clearly seen that countless people were fighting one another among mountains of corpses and oceans of blood. On the land, in space, and at the bottom of the sea. With blades, with guns, and with starships. Assault, annihilation, and massacre… It was happening everywhere.
Those who were trapped in the battlefields all had twisted faces and bloodshot eyes. They were vomiting foam like rabid dogs, not having the slightest idea that they were in a virtual world.
There was no telling how many of them were the 'Deviant Spirits' digitally simulated and how many were the actual souls of humans!
Even the mental devil felt creeped out watching it. It could not help but observe, "You have constructed so many virtual worlds!"
Professor Mo Xuan smiled casually. "I have the best team of virtual world architects."
Thinking quickly, Li Yao roared, "It was Wei Qingqing and all the other culture-type Cultivators who helped you build them. You—you even corrupted Wei Qingqing!"
"No, I didn't. Such trouble was highly unnecessary," Professor Mo Xuan admitted frankly. "It's true that Wei Qingqing and the rest of them helped me construct the prototypes of a lot of worlds, but they didn't know the first thing about the truth and were under the illusion that what they constructed were 'test worlds', which would be preserved for the brand-new civilizations in billions of years to come to make sure that they are similar to us.
"Some other fundamental data is from the game 'Civilization'. You know that 'Civilization' has hundreds of different war DLCs. Tremendous data on wars and killing have been accumulated in the past hundred years. With the data as the foundation, it is very easy to build the most perfect worlds of slaughter!
"After we seize control of the Star Glory Federation, human beings will be infinitely expanded on the Spiritual Nexus. An individual will be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility in Peach Blossom Paradise today, discuss with the most talented geniuses in a super metropolis that have a population of ten billion tomorrow, and enter the gory battlefield the day after tomorrow to hone their courage, valor, and killing skills with repetitive deaths. After the killing missions are accomplished, the negative emotions caused by the memory will be sealed, allowing them to return to their normal life without any hindrance.
"Should the enemy really invade us, or if we are establishing an expedition army toward the center of the cosmos, we will turn on the enormous war database and activate everyone's battle memories, emotions, and skill sets. Billions of civilians will be transformed into elite warriors. Together with the army of Deviant Spirits who are tens if not hundreds of times larger in number, who will ever be match for us in the entire universe!
"As for the parts in you and me that originate from the 'extraterrestrial devils', we can extract the intense emotional fluctuations from the warring worlds as a stable source of food. Isn't this the most perfect symbiotic relationship?"


“Even if this universe is truly nothing more than a brutal, bloody, shadowy forest, we Cultivators will burn all that we have just to give off a single weak flickering spark in the darkness! 
“No matter how weak each spark is, how short-lived, how small… As long as the sparks flow unabated, then one day one of those sparks will light some tinder, and that tinder shall light some fallen branches, and those branches shall set ablaze each and every last tree of the forest!
