"That does not even make sense. We do not have sacred-blood beast souls from Second God’s Sanctuary, even if we do, it is impossible that we exchange them for something in First God’s Sanctuary," said Ma Mingjun with his brows knitted.
The sacred-blood beast souls in Second God’s Sanctuary were much harder to come by than those in First God’s Sanctuary, and thus much more valuable.
However, an unevolved person could not receive any beast soul from Second God’s Sanctuary. If Han Sen was to purchase a beast soul from Second God’s Sanctuary for his mother, his mother would have to receive the beast soul from the other party directly. Otherwise, a primitive beast soul from Second God’s Sanctuary would easily beat most sacred-blood beast soul from First God’s Sanctuary.
Because the beast souls from a higher phase could not enter a lower one, the sacred-blood beast souls of First God’s Sanctuary were still very valuable.
However, using a sacred-blood beast soul of First God’s Sanctuary to exchange for one in Second God’s Sanctuary was still out of the question.

Su Xinmei bristled, "Should we just let him go like this? We had fought the sacred-blood creature for a long time, and he basically took advantage of us."
Ma Mingjun shook his head and said, "This person was using the secret skill of Ares Martial Hall. Not a lot of students could use the skill. He should be a very important person in the martial hall."
After Han Sen returned to the ground, he summoned Meowth and put tornado wolf’s body on its back. They traveled a long way to find a clean lake and Han Sen made a barbecue out of the wolf.
The tornado Wolf was the same size as a bull. Han Sen could not finish it himself, so he summoned holy angel to join him. It was too heavy for him to travel with anyway.
Holy angel had been in the great mood these two days as she was fed first the mushu and then the tornado wolf. She became so excited that her eyes were sparkling.
The tornado wolf had a lot more meat than the mushu. Even with her shocking appetite, holy angel could not finish it in a short amount of time. It took Han Sen and her three days to finish the entire tornado Wolf. As for the bones and inner organs, Han Sen fed them all to the worm king.
The worm king was exhilarated. It was never fed sacred-blood meat before, and was happy to taste some bones and gut.
Han Sen gained another sacred geno point from the tornado wolf and now had 80 sacred geno points.
Soon, they had traveled across Dark Swamp. Han Sen made a fire at mealtime and decided to heat up some of the mushu meat he preserved. Since it was not a lot, he did not summon the two pets.
Just as he started to eat, he saw two persons arriving on their mounts, who turned out to be Ma Mingjun and Su Xinmei.
Han Sen was not surprised. He was always cooking these days and it was natural for them to catch up with him.
Ma Mingjun and Su Xinmei were surprised to see Han Sen. Since Han Sen was in Steel Armor Shelter, they did not understand why he would be traveling to Glory Shelter.
"What a coincidence! Good to see you again. Can we use your fire to cook?" asked Ma Mingjun.
"Help yourself." Han Sen did not mind and continued to eat his barbecue.
Ma Mingjun and Su Xinmei regarded Han Sen, puzzled. It was easy to tell that the meat Han Sen was eating did not come from the silver wolf. Next to Han Sen, there was no large parcels either, which was strange.
The silver wolf was as big as a bull. It had only been a couple of days since they parted, so it would be amazing if Han Sen could finish one fifth of the meat, let alone the entire wolf. However, to their shock, the silver wolf had disappeared.
"I am the head of the Glory Gang, Ma Mingjun, this is my girlfriend Su Xinmei. How shall we call you?" As Ma Mingjun started cooking, he started to make small talks with Han Sen.
"Han Sen, a nobody in Steel Armor Shelter," replied Han Sen casually.
Ma Mingjun did not know much about Steel Armor Shelter. He thought about what he knew and said, "Dollar from Steel Armor Shelter is such an impressive figure. It is a shame that the only participated in one contest for the Chosen and did not even compete in the last round. Do you know him?"
"Everyone knows him in Steel Armor Shelter. However, he does not know me," said Han Sen with a smile.
"Where did that silver wolf go? You couldn’t have finished that in these two days, could you?" After chatting for a while, Ma Mingjun voiced his doubt.
"I fed it to my Pet," said Han Sen indifferently.
Ahem!
Ma Mingjun choked on the water he just drank. It was the first time for him to hear someone would feed sacred-blood meat to a pet.
Su Xinmei looked at Han Sen incredulously and asked, "You fed sacred-blood meat to your pet?"
"What’s wrong with that?" asked Han Sen.
Ma Mingjun quickly said, "Since Brother Han would use sacred-blood meet on his pet, this pet must be extraordinary. Can we have the honor to see it?"
Ma Mingjun and Su Xinmei did not believe someone would do such a thing. However, the silver wolf did disappear, and it was impossible for Han Sen to have finished that on his own. It seemed feeding his pet was a plausible explanation.
However, what a pet it must be for someone to be willing to feed it sacred-blood meat! Even if Ma Mingjun had a sacred-blood pet, he would not spare any sacred-blood meat to feed it.
"It’s just a pet, nothing special about it," said Han Sen, smiling.
"We are so curious to know what kind of pet it is to deserve sacred-blood meat." Su Xinmei still did not believe that Han Sen actually did it.
"That’s okay, but my pet has an appearance fee of a mutant beast soul. If you could afford it, I could show it to you as you wish," said Han Sen arrogantly.

On paper, Wendell Carson is a fascinating character. Wendell suffered heavily from post-traumatic stress disorder. Plagued by nightmares, he turned to liquor to help himself forget the atrocities he had witnessed and, on occasion under orders, partook in during the war. Sinking deeply into alcoholism, he left his rented apartment one day and never returned. He had never quite adjusted to life after the war and the chaos had always brewed inside him. Rumor had it that he hiked up into the mountains and disappeared forever into the woods: he was thirty-seven years old.
After disappearing for nearly seven years, Wendell Carson had pretty much been forgotten by the world at large. His old apartment had long been emptied and his few worldly possessions had been taken extra-judicially by his many creditors. All physical traces of him had disappeared. He found kinship with wolves, and the solace he found in his communion with them gave him the vision to dedicate his life to preserving their natural habitat.
At age 50, Wendell Carson was a respected conservationist and a known member of the community. He mostly kept to himself up on the Sanctuary, managing the place and caring for the animals. While he had no formal training in caring for animals, he became the local wildlife expert, rescuing and breeding wolves in the Sanctuary and on occasion, taking in and caring for other wounded wild animals. 
On paper, Wendell Carson's story is one of hope: it's a feel-good story that really inspires people to find their purpose in life. It's particularly encouraging for veterans who suffer from PTSD because they can see their story lived out in Wendell's struggle. Wendell overcame his illness and became a better person. If he could do it, they could too.
The thing about Wendell Carson's story though is that it's all true, but only up to a point.
Did Wendell Carson serve as a soldier in the Border War for five years? Absolutely.
Did he suffer from PTSD and become an alcoholic? Unfortunately, yes.
Did he wander off into the woods one day and never return? Yes and yes.
Yes. Read that again. Yes and yes.
But wait, if that's true, then who founded the Northern Spirits Wolf Sanctuary? Wasn't it Wendell Carson? Yes, on paper, Wendell Carson founded the Wolf Sanctuary.
On paper, Wendell Carson is 50 years old. He was born on August 10, 19xx.
On paper, Wendell Carson is still alive.
At the bakery, a cake is being made for Wendell Carson's 50th birthday to be delivered to the NS Wolf Sanctuary. There's a birthday card that comes with it, saying "Happy Birthday, Wendell" from Tim and Nancy, the owners of the bakery.
The man known as Wendell Carson is up at the Wolf Sanctuary. Today he turns 50, if you base it off of his government papers. In truth, "Wendell Carson" is now one hundred and twenty (120) years old.
In his old life, he had lived on a grand estate in M City. His wife is long dead. He has one son and that son's government papers say that he is just as old as Wendell Carson is today. In truth, his son is 70 years old. He has a grandson who is 18 years old. Of the three of them, his grandson is the only one who has not yet needed to lie about his age in the human world.
The truth is, the real Wendell Carson, the ex-soldier, never made it out of the woods alive. Perhaps he died of hypothermia from sleeping outside in the cold. Perhaps he died of a heart attack or complications from liver cirrhosis. No one knows how the man died; Wendell Carson himself probably had no idea what killed him either. What is left of him is the ash scattered on the grounds of the Northern Spirits Wolf Sanctuary.
The man known as Wendell Carson now used to be known by a different name: Silverio Guzman. When his son was born, he named his boy after himself. To distinguish between the two Silvers, the older Silverio Guzman became known as Old Man Silver and his son was called Young Silver. 
Young Silver did not name his own son after himself. Young Silver's wife chose her son's name: Hunter. And it was just as well, for while the boy inherited his father and his grandfather's pale yellow hair and piercing blue eyes, he did not inherit the silver mane of their wolves. His wolf was dark, like his own mother's hair.
Old Man Silver was the last of the old generation of Wolf Men. He saw the end of the power of the shape shifters and he survived the hunt that brought the species to heel. He shook hands and said the words in the truces between the Wolf Men and the Night Walkers. The Spell Casters and Mind Melters had all gone quietly underground and the Faeries settled even deeper into the green. The function of the gourd was to store and release sand but first the sand controller needs to fill it up with his Mana and of course sand.
The wish of the trident wielder was to strengthen the power and endurance of his body to a whole new level.
Shadowslash nodded and asks him if he was comfortable with fusing with a monster bloodline and he was surprised when he heard the trident wielder agreed.
Shadowslash then went to the Sanctuary together with the trident wielder and searched for monsters that have grade at least Legendary and has an attribute of fire and darkness.
After searching for a while they did find a monster just like that and it was a Draconic Three Headed Wolf that was staying in one of the cave inside the Draconic Sanctuary.
Shadowslash was quite surprised finding a monster just like this but then he realised even though the wolf is the size of a cow it was actually a juvenile.
That is when he remembers about the Egg Daycare it seems that they are doing their jobs quite well.
Shadowslash thought that killing the Draconic Three Headed Wolf would be a shame so he only extracted it's bloodline and fused it with the trident wielder.
The Draconic Three Headed Wolf started whimpering feeling powerless but after Shadowslash extracted some of its bloodline he used his Transcendent Qi to strengthen the wolf before bringing it with him.
He decided to give it to one of his group or on one of the three knight riders.
When they returned back to the garden they saw that there were some changes on the trident wielder.
His eyes were now dark red in color and his aura have also increased in strength and pressure.
The others from his team were tempted to do the same thing as he did but suddenly the eggblade wielder step forward and made his wish.
His wish startled Shadowslash so does the others from his group.
His wish is to make a contract with the wolf on Shadowslash's hand.
Shadowslash smiled as he lifted the eggblade wielder and brought him to the Sanctuary and started initiating the contract process.
The eggblade wielder was ecstatic to find out the wolf was a Legendary Grade monster and it was on its juvenile stage so it would definitely be able to strengthen his spiritual sense as long as it matures he could also build a close relationship with it.
He was only trying his luck since he saw Shadowslash bringing an unknown monster back to the guardian he would have never thought his gamble would make him win a great opportunity.
With his return he look extremely satisfied upon seeing him back the trident wielder looks at him with a bit of envy.
One of the members of their group wished for his very own weapon intent so like the rest Shadowslash puts him into his Illusion world.
After approximately 50 minutes Shadowslash have woken him up it he wasn't there checking on him he wouldn't able to last even half an hour much less 50 minutes.
The remaining person left is the leader of their group his wish a weapon that is compatible with his fighting method.
Shadowslash nodded bringing him into the Sanctuary before taking out large amount of blood from Hentai's storage and other materials for creating a sword.
With a twist Hentai quickly finished creating the sword the only thing remaining is to let it bathe in killing intent.
When the leader of The Supremes touched the sword he immediately felt intimate and falls in love with the sword.
The sword had the function just like Lisa's dagger which absorbs blood as long as it was bathe in killing intent it would become a magical weapon.
But because of its unique abilities it would evolve into an evil weapon but since it was created specifically for the leader of The Supremes as long as he did not fall into the path of evil the sword wouldn't too.
The next group that Shadowslash chose was the Dark Triad that means that the Heavenly Sword Sect would be the last group that would be asking for their wish.
The first person to step forward was Darkai his wish is to stabilize his body as after having his bloodline awakened his body felt extremely uncomfortable since it started it's rapid changes.
His bloodline was too high rank for his present body so he looks for Shadowslash for help.
Shadowslash then started checking his body and realised that there was a high quality dark energy that was spreading throughout Darkai's body they were improving the body but because it was too rapid the body would collapse in this state.
Seeing that his condition was actually very critical he did not waste any time and brought Darkai to the Sanctuary and starts to improve his core.
The most damaged part of him was actually his dantian that was already overflowing with energy.
Inside his dantian there was actually an illusionary figure of an angel with 6 black wings if it weren't for Hentai he would never be able to find it.
As he starts to improve Darkai's body and starts to collect all of his high quality dark energy and directed it towards the dantian then repeat.
As Darkai felt his body calming down he lets out a sigh of relief.
Shadowslash was not able to change Darkai's body as it was too mysterious for him but he could direct the overflowing dark energy and as long as they had a stable movement then the body wouldn't collapse.
He then told Darkai about the condition of his body when Darkai heard that he was actually on death's door he broke in sweat.
Shadowslash then starts to remind to train his body and maybe create an innate weapon for himself so that he could direct the excess energy to the weapon.
He the brought him back to the garden when Darkai shared his experienced all of the members of his group were shocked to find out that he was actually slowly dying.
Tank was up next his wish is to be healed it seems that fusing with his shield would bring detrimental effect on his body.
Shadowslash felt that this wish was too ordinary so he made a minor adjustment to the wish.
He started to use his Transcendent Qi to improve Tank's body to a whole new level as Leafinia was healing him besides her was her disciple and Herish who was taking care of Niko.
The four of them are inside the Sanctuary as they were busy dealing with the two especially Niko who have accumulated more than enough injuries that would able to kill even the elite fighters.
With Tank's return everyone was shocked he was now taller and his body width was now wider he was now bigger than before.
The next person to step forward was actually the leader of their group the one so called the eldest brother.
His wish was to release the seal on a sword he took out.
Shadowslash expression sharpens as he felt a Qi belonging to a Transcendent from the sword.
He couldn't help but feel extremely curious as to what really is hidden in this continent there were actually weapons belonging forged from a Transcendent.
Once again he seek Yshelia help and after they destroys the shield of the sword a howl sounded out as a large figure of a black wolf appeared.
It lets out a menacing growl towards Shadowslash upon seeing this he lets out a laugh as his aura burst out.
Outside he might be cautious because of the continent's restriction but now that they are inside his domain he was fearless.
The black wolf dispersed as it turn into black smokes and went inside the sword.
Shadowslash then returns the sword back to the leader of the Dark Triad but he caution him to be careful and not activate the sword's ability if it isn't necessary.
After the leader of the Dark Triad step back the others from his group looks at each other before looking at Suiryu.
Suiryu nodded he then step forward and his wish is to obtain his own intent.
Shadowslash then puts him into the illusion world and just like the others he was fighting his own doppelganger.
Suiryu already have great foundation so achieving his own intent would be quite easy so Shadowslash decided to help him incorporate his intent on his fighting style by letting him stay for a while but he would also monitor the fluctuations of his spiritual sense since he do not want the accident of Cassandra to happen again.
Harry wanted to improve his Mage Tier so Shadowslash brought him to the Sanctuary and started to experiment on his Mana core.
It only took a bit of time since Hentai was already proficient in this work as Harry immediately felt his magic power have increased in power and his Mana increased in quantity.

It has been almost a month now and I've been hunting wolves around the periphery of Sanctuary for the wolf meat for Rudmiya.

Wolves always hunted in packs of five. So it was hard at the beginning since the weakest of wolves were level 15.

Then, next time I planned more intricately and finally managed to finish one pack with difficulty because my shadows couldn't keep up with them. 

After I reanimated the first pack things got easier and I was surprised that shadow Wargs were Elite grades.

I was currently walking towards The Bannered Mare to give Rudmiya today's batch of wolf meat.

And this monster is back even stronger than before?"

"You have been hunting the monsters around the periphery of Sanctuary and there was a talk that the Shadow Monarch from Eastern Trainee's Village, who hunted the monsters with his shadow army is in Sanctuary for a month. It has to be you isn't it?"

"...Yes that is me."

"Then I have a request. I don't have much to offer but I'll do what I can. The Commander of Guards, Arnold,  is gathering an army to deal with Fenrir, I want you to go with them to deal with the monster. You can create another miracle if it is you, please... if they fail I don't want to think about what could happen..."

Rudmiya was talking with water in her eyes, she looked like she was about to cry. Her appearance was very pitiful to be honest. But...

They can choose which side they want to be on. Either enemy side or your side. (Some quests will force to experience one side.)

This is my first time writing please go easy on me, updates won’t be regular because I’m not that creative of a person.

I own nothing in the story.

Actually I don’t remember much of the novels I talked about here. I will use the wiki and if I am wrong please correct me. And I don’t remember much of the game too, I used to play it when I was young and I quite liked the pets in the game so I just thought why not. The game is called Rappelz if some of you know

They say that every story has a format; a beginning, a middle and an end with a life lesson that everyone can and must benefit from. Easier said than done right? Well what people don't fully realize is how unique a story can be if done right. Such is the case of a pack of seven canines (lupines to be precise) of unusual backgrounds to come into a world not like their own, and in turn help create something of their own: a bridge of understanding.

As it all goes, it begins on sunny midsummer day in June. Upon a little clearing in a forested part of Montana we find little and humble wolf sanctuary named 'Haus der Wölfe' (German for House if Wolves). Owned by a lovely couple who had much interest in preserving the species, this sanctuary was just staring out with three wolves: Meika, a beautiful female Artic wolf; Achak, a gray wolf; and Elda, a large Canadian Timber wolf. With the husband and wife duo was their 'kid' Duke, a wolf-dog they took in after a family couldn't handle his wolf side much longer. Where he lost a home he gained a new one, a better one. Though it was first rough trying to get acquainted with his lupine brethren, they in time all warmed up to him. He may have enjoyed running with them and learning to hunt with them, he still had his inner dog and loved to cuddle with his adoptive furless parents and looked forward to them visiting his pen. During the times before and after he arrived at the sanctuary, he acquired an approximate amount of logic and knowledge from his owners by listening and watching all that he could. 

Upon a particular day of play, they caught ear of a truck coming up near the main gate. They all came up near the visiting area to see what the commotion was. The previous three had seen this truck before. It was green with words spelled out 'DNR' and it was backing up towards the gate. The back of the vehicle opened out came three new wolves one at a time: an Eastern wolf, a red wolf and an Arabian wolf that seemed like a dwarf to the other two. While the Eastern wolf was eager and hopped off, the other two were unsure of their new home. After some coaxing, the two eventually got off. Soon the three newcomers were greeted by Duke who took it upon himself to be the mediator for today. "Hiya fellas. Welcome to Casa de Lupine or simply just home. I'm Duke and who are you fellas?"

The first to step forward was the Eastern wolf who spoke with confidence and a slight southern accent. "Howdy and salutations my hombre. The name's Colt, I came here from ol' Mississippi from another preserve." The next was the red wolf. He too had a slight southern drawl. "The name's Radolf, just came here from a nature preserve along the two Carolinas." And then finally at last, there was the Arabian wolf. "Hhhi, I'm Boris. I'm not from any reserve or preservation. I'm actually...well was formerly a pet."
"Get out of here! You were some humans' pet?" Colt exclaimed. "Shoot! I bet you never had taste, if not a mere nibble of the slice of life we wolves have." 

"Probably for good reason." said Radolf. "What happened, did you get flirty with neighbors' dog or something?"

"No! No! Nothing like that honest!" Borris panicked, his ears folded back and his tail between his legs. "I guess...they just didn't want me."

"It's nothing to judge you on Borris." said Duke. "I was fine at my  previous home until they decided to send me here. I believe they said something about me being too big, but anyways let's get you guys introduced to the other two here."

"And who they be exactly?" asked Colt, his tail wagging in hopeful happiness.

"You'll see. Follow me gentlemen." As the owners opened up the gate to the main part of the sanctuary, the wolves led by Duke explored the vast spacious acres of forest with pines erect like solitary guardians. They all took in the smell of fresh pine sap leaking from bits and parts of the trees. After a bit of trotting, they finally came across his three other friends. "Achak, Meika, Elda meet Colt, Borris and Radolf." The wolves all exchanged greetings with each other as normal wolves do, as Colt was trying to make moves on Meika. "Well hello beautiful. What brings a pretty little snow angel like you a nice outfit like this?" he said flirting with her.  "Just well and fine thank you."  she replied, accepting his flirting with ease. Unnerved, she turned to the small Arabian wolf. "So who brought the coyote in here?"

"Actually ma'am, I am a wolf; an Arabian wolf actually." Borris said nervously. He had his head lowered in a show of submission hoping that the three wolves would be friendly with him. Her eyes softened as she greeted him. "I do apologize Borris. I've just never seen a wolf so little." said Meika.

(Little known fact: Coyotes stand at 21-24 inches tall at the shoulder, while wolves grow to 26-32 inches tall. Arabian wolves stand on average 25–26 inches (64–66 cm) at shoulder height. Talk about being an in-between)

"Neither have I." said Achak who padded on over with Elda. He had a bit of a scar along his cheek. "You could have been easily mistaken for one."

"It's not a big deal really." said Borris, still acting a bit shy. "I guess I'm not all that accustomed to the outdoor life just as much."

"You'll get pretty use to it." said Elda towering over Borris like he was a young cub. "The three of us were relocated from our homes here. Weren't too sure what to make of it at first, but we got comfortable once we got settled in. This place is kind of the same as any other forest. Just with some slight differences."

"What kind of differences?"

"Like wired fencing for one thing." Radolf spoke out. "To try to keep any unwanted humans from hunting us or taking us, well so said the human that I was left with."

"So far we haven't had any trouble like that here." said Achak. "Just peaceful living hunting for prey, simple life for us wolves. The humans that look after us aren't so bad either."

"Humans? Here?" asked Borris, nervous just from his past experience with humans. 

"Don't worry Borris." Meika reassured him. "There are only two here but so far they've been the best as far as we're concerned."

"If you say so darlin'." said Colt. "So what exactly we got here in terms of food?"

"Well we got the occasional moose we often track down." said Duke. "Several various small critters too but mostly deer. In fact, it's almost about time for a hunt. You three game?"

"Sure." barked Colt enthusiastically.

"As long as we're all pitching in." replied Radolf.

"Borris how about you?" Duke asked Borris who picked his tail up a bit. "Well...I suppose I can give it a go."

"Don't worry little buddy." said Elda as he nudged the little wolf. "It'll be fun I promise. We'll think of something for you to do."

Hesitant for a moment, Borris reluctantly agreed and all seven took off on the hunt for food as one pack.

Six wolves of various breeds were on their way to Europe from North America for a showcase for wolf preservation but something happened and the six canine compatriots find themselves somewhere in the African savanna. Will they be able to make their way back or is it more likely their stuck for good? Only with working with each other will they be able to make it through. 

This would take place in the middle of Lion King 2 and of course all rights and content pertaining to this belong to respected owners.

Spear in hand, he ran through the woods. Moving side to side, he maneuvered his way around the sturdy trunks of trees and avoided the dense underbrush where he could. The sounds of gunfire and animals barking grew in intensity with each impact of his heavy boots onto the packed dirt. The trees blended together into a green blur as he drew closer and closer to the fight.
Soon enough, he could hear the shouts of men and women above the sharp cracks of gunfire. Now, he had a decision to make. His eyes flicked over the metal loop on the ring finger of his left hand. He had discovered that with his mana manipulation skill, he was able to wear the ring constantly and not have it be activated. The problem was that activating and deactivating the ring took a few seconds of concentration with his current skill level. That meant he had to answer the question now; did he want it activated?
There was little doubt that using it would give him an advantage in the pure combat against the beasts. Additionally, it would allow him to remain anonymous; if they couldn't see him, then they couldn't use identify on him. Anonymity to the inhabitants of the Sanctuary was something that he had thus far gone to great lengths to ensure.
What made him hesitate, however, was the very fact that they wouldn't be able to see him. If the people from the Sanctuary, the ones with guns that were shooting at the beasts, couldn't see him, they wouldn't know to not aim in his direction. While the beasts could withstand a few bullets, he wasn't quite ready to test his own resistance to them.
He looked up from his ring and focused on reaching the scene of the battle as soon as he possibly could. I'll hold off on using the ring. Instead, I'll move quickly. If I'm only in the line of sight of the people from the Sanctuary for a few seconds, they might not be in the state of mind to use identify on me, he reasoned; besides, this way, I'll save my mana for if I need to use the ring for a quick escape.
After a short run, he was close enough for some of the shouts to be comprehensible above the cacophony of gunfire, barking, and growling. The first voice he was able to understand had the higher pitch of a young woman. "Dammit! There are too many of them. I'm nearly out of ammo!" she called out, the stress and strain in her voice clear even from a distance, "What about you two?"
The gunfire continued for a moment before a response came, all the while Octavius grew closer and closer. "I've got a few mags worth left, but I don't know if it'll be enough to take down all of them." a male voice finally responded.
Not a second later, a third voice spoke up with a much lighter tone than the situation seemed to warrant. "Well, I'm nearly out too. Good thing wolves can't climb trees!" the speaker called out with a voice that had the higher timbre of someone still a good deal away from seeing the end of their youth.
By now, Octavius could hear growls and the scraping sound of claws on tree bark. Slowing, he peered through the leaves ahead to catch a glimpse of the battlefield. His eyes focused on a copse of trees that was surrounded by what appeared to be an entire pack of wolves.
They were of the same breed that he had encountered all those weeks ago at the start of the tutorial and a handful of times since. When he used identify on a few, he realized that these wolves were of a relatively low level. The lowest he saw was level 6, and the highest was level 9.
However, even with their low levels, the fact that they were in the area at all puzzled Octavius. He would have expected the hunting parties of the Sanctuary to wipe out a group of dangerous predators in the vicinity, even if they weren't of an especially high level. Perhaps the massive population center that was the Sanctuary had drawn them here over the past hour?
It was of no importance at the moment, though. Now it was the time for Octavius to get to work. Holding his left hand to his mouth, he shouted as soon as there a lull in the gunfire. "You, in the trees! Hold your fire!" his voice seemed to snap at the eardrums of all that heard it, and the shooting quickly halted.
Exploding from a bush between two solid trees, he activated his instant thrust skill as soon as his spear was properly aimed at his first target. Although necessary to avoid being turned into a pincushion of bullets, his shout had alerted the wolves to his presence.
From the way that the wolves furthest from the trees that the gunmen were on threw themselves at this new threat, Octavius knew that they held the same rabid viciousness as the smaller creatures he had encountered since the start of the Emergence.
The wolf he had initially targeted was about average level amongst the wolves, middle of the pack as it were. It was bleeding from a handful of gunshot wounds to the back but wasn't slowed in the slightest. The moment it had heard Octavius's shout, it had spun and pounced with no regard for its safety.
The spear point, accelerated to an extreme degree by his instant thrust skill, took it directly in the maw. The wolf didn't even have time to react before the message detailing the experience points Octavius gained from its death appeared unobtrusively at the edge of his vision.
He barely had the time to remove his spear from the now-dead wolf before its packmates were upon him. Snarling and biting, they attacked with none of the cautious intimidation wolves usually employed in the wild.
Faintly, he heard one of the people in the trees above cursing out loud, "Who the fuck is that?!"
Octavius ignored the call and locked his green eyes onto the bloodshot ones of the nearest charging wolf. Bringing his spear to bear, he waited for the perfect moment before stepping to the side in a single fluid motion.
The wolf went sailing to his left, but he didn't have a chance to take advantage of its moment of weakness before a third wolf was upon him. The brown-green blur lept for his throat, jaws open wide to tear it out. Octavius brought his spear up horizontally, catching the snapping jaws with the metal haft.
With the wolf held in place on its hind legs, his right knee snapped forward. The wolf seemed to barely register the blow, but the force of it did push the wolf off balance. With the wolf already only held up by its hind legs, Octavius was able to take advantage of the loss of balance his blow caused and stepped forward, rotating to the left as he did so.
The wolf's forelegs batted at him but didn't hold the leverage to injure him as he drove it to the ground. With both arms no longer needed to support the beast's weight, he drew his dagger with his right hand and drove into the matted fur of the animal's underbelly. It took him stabbing the wolf four times before the message from the system announced that he had killed it.
The whole exchange took place over the course of barely two seconds, but that was enough time for the wolf that was now behind him to recover. Octavius recognized that with wolves approaching from both the front and the back, he was in a dangerous position. Resheathing his dagger, he took his spear in both hands and held it at the ready.
Two wolves were charging at him from the direction of the trees that the rest of the pack surrounded, and one charged him from behind. The two wolves ran side by side with no regard for the other, only trying to reach Octavius as soon as they could. Bumping each other out of the way and even scratching at one another, they grew closer and closer to him.
Octavius once more waited until the last moment before the wolves from both sides reached him before leaping out of the way. The wolves collided in midair and fell to the ground in a heap. Growling and barking, they climbed over the bodies of their pack mates to get to Octavius again.
Octavius held his spear at the ready as the first wolf was able to untangle itself from its comrades and charge. Taking advantage of the range provided by his spear, he used instant thrust just as the wolf entered his range. The wolf continued with no regard for its safety, its only goal being to tear out Octavius's throat.
Due to that lack of care for the threat the spear posed, Octavius was able to stab his spear straight into its body below its head. The silver-colored metal of his spear reflected the golden rays of the sun as it pierced the wolf's body just to the side of its sternum. The wolf died without a sound as his spear cut deeply into its heart.
Quickly withdrawing his spear from the now-dead wolf, he readied it to face the other two wolves that were not far behind the first. One wolf was slightly ahead of the other, and that was the one Octavius targeted. Stabbing his spear into it in the same manner as with the previous wolf, this one collapsed as well.
The difference this time was the angle of his thrust. Before the thrust, he had moved slightly to his right, which meant when he stabbed the wolf, it fell to its own right and directly into the path of the third and final wolf that was attacking him.
He was distracted for a moment when the young man above shouted, "Oh shit! I jinxed it!" before rapid cracks of gunfire resumed. Octavius could tell that there weren't any bullets coming in his direction and assumed that they were firing into the group at the base of their trees. He didn't have time to look, though, as the final wolf had gotten back to its feet in the second he was distracted.
With just one wolf attacking and the fact that he now knew that they wouldn't flinch back from the deadly strikes of his spear, it was the matter of a simple thrust to end it. Turning, he faced the copse of trees that had the rest of the pack of wolves surrounded.
The writhing mass of brown and green that was the wolves was only broken up by the various splashes of red blood from the multiple bullet wounds on each of their bodies. He wasn't able to discover what had prompted the team to resume firing until he looked up slightly. The muddy green form of a wolf was digging its claws deeply into the bark of the tree as it climbed unsteadily.
The small sprays of red mist signified the impacts of bullets on its body. It barely made it another few feet before it lost its grip and fell unmoving onto the ground. Though, even as that wolf died, another immediately took its place. It leapt onto the tree and began to scramble up, ignoring the very real possibility of joining the six bodies of wolves that were arrayed on the ground around the tree.
Although the wolves now seemed to have a chance to get at the fighters from the Sanctuary, it was at the cost of allowing the shooters to all focus on one of them at once. This strategy was proven futile for the time being when this wolf also fell from the tree to lay unmoving on the red-stained grass.
Octavius knew that this was making it easier for the team in the trees to kill the wolves, but they were likely quickly running out of ammo. His first thought was to try to get the wolves' attention, but he couldn't make a sound that would distract them more than gunfire. The only thing that he could think of was to charge the mass of wolves. The problem with that was the bullets that were constantly impacting that specific area would likely hit him.
He frowned for a moment, considering his options. Eventually, he decided to call out to the group in the trees to stop shooting for a moment so that he could get the wolves' attention then lead them away. "HOLD YOUR FIRE!!" he screamed over the deafening noise, "I'LL LEAD THEM AWAY!"
The firing slowed for a moment but picked back up after a second. One of the people said something, but Octavius couldn't hear it clearly over the noise. He cursed inside of his own thoughts. The three of them would run out of ammo and then wouldn't be able to stop the wolves from climbing. Even if Octavius could draw all of their attention the moment the shooting stopped, chances were that at least one wolf would be in the process of climbing a tree.
He watched the wolves scramble to climb the trees in a frenzy as he waited for the last few shots to ring out. His thumb ran over the smooth surface of the ring on his finger as he waited at the ready. After the time it took for them to shoot three more wolves off trees, they finally ran out of ammo.
Octavius counted to three inside of his head just to be sure that none of them were just reloading. The frightened cursing coming from the trees above confirmed it for him, and he closed his eyes for a moment. Now that the people above posed no threat to him, he could use his illusion ring.
The light around him seemed to bend and distort for a split second before the illusion snapped into place. All that was left where he stood was a glimmer like one would see above the black asphalt of a road on a hot day.
One wolf was climbing the tree, but Octavius couldn't do anything about that at the moment. Instead, he laid into the mass of rabid wolves with a detached fury. Blood sprayed through the air as he cut through wolf after wolf as they searched futilely for him.
The wolves' sense of smell, along with the sounds he made, allowed them to learn his general location, but that information was obvious from where wolves fell to the cuts and thrusts of his spear. He danced between them, his spear in constant motion. After a number of the wolves fell, the remainder seemed to go even more mad.
They began attacking whatever was in front of them, be it empty air or their fellow pack mates. The rest of the battle was a slaughter. Octavius cut down wolf after wolf until the ground was dyed red, and all that remained were the corpses of the once-proud beasts. He didn't even receive so much as a scratch through his thick clothes and armor.
Now, the only wolf that remained was the one that was climbing the tree. Octavius wasn't even sure how its claws were able to dig far enough into the tree to hold it up, but it was making slow and steady progress. The shouts of the group in the trees became more and more hysterical as the wolf grew closer. They didn't even seem to have noticed that all of the other wolves were dead.
Octavius took a dozen steps back and held his spear like a javelin. The wolf was three times its body length above the ground and scrambling up the tree far too quickly for something of its size. Drawing his arm back, he threw his spear in a high arc. When he activated his instant thrust skill, the spear seemed to leap from his hand.
It caught the sun's light as it became visible for a moment upon leaving the illusion before slamming into the back of the wolf. The throw was far from enough to kill the wolf but was plenty to send the wolf falling backward off of the tree. It slammed into the ground with a solid thunk and laid still.
Octavius quickly approached it before retrieving his spear from where it had been thrown during the fall. The wolf growled as it heard him approach in the now silent forest but failed to return to its feet before he skewered it to the ground.
Once he was sure all of the wolves were dead, he turned and moved out of the line of sight of the group in the trees. Concentrating, the illusion around him fell, and he became visible once more. Looking over his notifications, he grinned.

It seemed he had gained a bit over six and a half thousand experience points from the massacre of the wolves, and that had pushed him over the top to level 11. He had already decided what to do with the points he gained from this level and didn't hesitate before putting them all into constitution. Looking over his status, he nodded in satisfaction.

Closing his status window, he inhaled deeply. It had been weeks since his last level up, and it seemed he was correct in guessing that the Emergence would be a great opportunity for him to increase his strength.
He set off at a jog back away from the Sanctuary just as the sounds of people running through the underbrush began to reach his ears. If reinforcements had arrived, that meant it was time for him to go. There was still plenty of time before nightfall for him to kill for beasts.

A blue marble floated in the unending void. On that marble, billions went about their lives, unaware that somewhere else, something had changed. Some requirement was met, and suddenly, a new type of energy saturated the universe.

A mother closed her car's door and lifted a bag of groceries in an arm before vanishing into nothingness. Across the world, a teenager disappeared mid-word from a conversation with friends. In eastern America, Captain Octavius J. Asher of the US Army vanished from a mountain trail with no witnesses. People all over the Earth disappeared simultaneously.

This would normally cause a mass panic across the globe were it not for the fact that there wasn't a single person left on the globe to panic.

Ari sank his teeth into Kang's right arm, Kang had seen the attack coming and raised his arm in defense.  Ari started to shake his body back and forth, ripping Kang off his feet and making him look like a rag doll in the huge wolf's mouth.  Kang yelled as he tried to punch Ari's head with his loose hand, missing every time because he was being shaken so violently.  The Blood Ties pack began to transform, attacking Ari but not having much luck as he was shaking.  One man was able to grab hold of Ari's neck, but was just knocked to the ground.  After what seemed minutes, but was truly only seconds, I reached Ari and Kang, what was I going to do?  Ren was right beside me instantaneously.  

"STOP!!"  I screamed, Ari continued to shake but slower, I walked up to the shaking mad wolf.  I was as close as I could be without getting smacked with Kang's thrashing body.  Ari was very resistant and obstinate.  "I said stop Ari!  You will kill your own brother!  Do you really want to be known as a monster?!"  I screamed.  Ari immediately dropped Kang to the ground and charged at me, his mouth open for a bite.  Ren stepped in front of me, and several members of the den ran to get between us.  Ari knocked Ren over and started grabbing at people with his teeth and tossing them, some of the crowd began transforming into their wolf forms again.  I couldn't allow that, I didn't want anymore fighting.  I looked back at Zeke, who had sat on the ground, he was sweating heavily and pale, Rai stood near him with a look of worry.  Zeke was loosing too much blood.  I had to do something, but what could I do?

"Stop, everyone!  The Shadow Wolves property will from now on be considered a sanctuary, any who break the rules of sanctuary will be executed!"  I yelled, everyone stopped moving, including Ari.  Sanctuary is sacred, it is a place where no harm will be done to anyone who seeks a safe place.  If anyone attacks in a sanctuary they are executed for their crime.  Any alpha, Queen, or King may declare a place as sanctuary.  I sighed as everyone fell quiet and still.

"There, no one else may fight here, Ari please leave, you are banished from this place.  Do not come back here, ever."  I gave the directive, hoping he would listen.  Ari folded his ears back and he bore his teeth at me, letting out a low growl, he walked straight up to me and put his head down so his snout would be centimeters from my nose.  

"I am not afraid of you Ari, we were once friends, even if it was fake for you, it wasn't for me.  I loved you, and looked up to you, but now you are nothing.  Leave."  I said, looking sternly at him.  Ari stopped snarling at me and bowed his head, I have a feeling it was more of a mockery than an actual sign of respect.  He turned around and ran out of the gymnasium through the splintered doors.  Kang lay on the floor unconscious, Zane was knelt down beside him.

"How is he?"  I asked.

"Well, he was shaken quite violently like the equivalent to being hit by a semi-truck going 80 miles and hour, then hitting a brick wall."  Zane's analogy made me shutter, that would be painful.  "I am not sure he will survive, but it is possible with him being a true wolf and unconscious, he will heal faster, like how you healed overnight just from sleeping."  I looked at Zane, I didn't know true wolves could heal just from falling asleep.  

"To be honest, I am not sure I care if he survives."  I said, I had no love for this man who had done those awful things to me so many years ago.

"Me either.  But do what you can anyway, his pack will not join the den if we let him die."  I heard Zeke's voice from right behind me, when had he gotten there?  

"Yes Alpha."  Zane still had a bit of anger in his voice when speaking to Zeke.  

"I may be the alpha to our pack, but she is the leader of the den.  Omega Queen's have even more influence than any alpha.  They still follow their alpha's orders, but they can also influence the alpha's orders."  Zeke said with a bit of a giggle.  

"We should all go rest now, here in the new Sanctuary, so we may all heal as much as we can and rise to a new day tomorrow.  On that new day, we will start recruiting more packs to the den, even absorb smaller dens if they are willing, to aide in the war against the panthers.  Go now, rest well."  Zeke gave the order, and the hope for a new way of life going forward, life with unity.  

Everyone began to leave the gym, some limping, some dangling broken arms, some gasping through pain of breathing with broken ribs, and some dead being carried out.  Zeke spoke to a small older man before the old man left the building, he asked him to set up a pyre for the dead.  There would be a funeral party tonight.  

"I will need to report all that has happened to the authorities, as is required by law.  They will investigate, and determine if any one person's acts were enough to be sent to prison."  Zeke said to the small group that was left in the gym, Ren, Zane, Rai, two men I didn't know, a woman I didn't know, and myself.  

"You best leave one thing out, and make sure no one else speaks of it."  Zane said to Zeke, scowling at him.

"Yes Zane, I will make sure no one knows what we are."  Zeke sighed as he spoke.  "Liz, can you please start making phone calls to local packs and dens to set up an assembly in two days, here at the sanctuary?"  The woman I had never met stepped forward and lowered her head slightly,

"Yes Alpha Zeke."  She said, then flashed her golden eyes at me with a smirk.  What was that about?  Liz pulled her cell phone from her pocket and started dialing as she left the building, her long, wavy, blonde hair swishing as she walked.

"So, how did your Mother and Father manage to make babies?  I understand they fucked, but how can a true wolf and a panther make a child, let alone two?"  I asked, curious.  

"We aren't totally sure either.  Apparently it does happen on occasion, but the infants will be slain once born if not while still in their mother's womb.  Our Father made sure we were kept secret, and safe."  Zane answered, looking over to Siren's lifeless body that was still on the stage.  

"I see."  I looked at Siren as well, wondering what kind of man would protect his children so, but then hire someone to **** and torture them.  

"We will discuss more tomorrow, let us get ready for the funeral party."  Zeke said to the group.  Everyone nodded in agreement and left the building, I grabbed Ren's hand and walked closely to him.  As we walked, we started to smell a fire burning, we had assumed it was the pyre for the dead.  We continued to walk toward the smaller homes that were in the community.

"I live in house five."  Ren said as he leaned his warm body into mine.  We went around a corner to a building, there was smoke filling the streets to the housing community, and the large cabin that Siren lived in was ablaze.  Ren stiffened up and began to breath faster, panic setting in,

"Sara!!!"

I searched for Emma after school, calling out her name. Why did she run away from me? Did I do something wrong? As an Alpha, I was supposed to be able to control my emotions, but when it came to my mate, I just couldn't.
Rushing down the school hallway, I spotted Ny and Grayson talking. I smiled at them.
Grayson finally met his mate. I'm so happy for him, especially because of what happened with his previous one-
And that's when I was mind linked from him
"Alpha, there's been a huge situation that you're gonna hate."
"What?" I asked, confusedly.
"So, uh, let's just say that my gorgeous, sexy, beautiful, wonderful one and only mate told me about Emma's situation, and I don't... I don't even know where to start," Grayson said sadly.
My forehead creased in confusion. What the hell was he talking about?
"Start talking, now," I demanded.
"So, Emma lived with her mom and dad when she was young. She was closer to her dad, though. Then, he left and went to the army, and on the day that he was supposed to come back, a black car pulled up on their driveway instead, and Emma and her mom found out he had passed away. Her mom was so depressed that she killed herself that same day, leaving Emma alone. She had to stay with her abusive uncle and aunt, and she still is now.
"She's been there for around 5 years, and to be honest, I don't know how she's even alive right now," Grayson said honestly.
I just stood there in shock. I couldn't believe this. This... I...I couldn't believe Emma had to go through that shit.
I felt a blinding pain in my back, causing my knees to buckle. I cried out in pain, knowing it was Emma. My sweet, beautiful Emma. How could someone treat her like this?
"Xander? XANDER!" Grayson panicked.
"We need to find her now," I say angrily.
Grayson brightens. "Oh! Let me lighten the mood first. Ok, so why does a mermaid wear seashells?"
Ny and I just stare at him, waiting for him to give us the answer.
"Because she outgrew her B-shells! Get it? Seashells, like the letter C... no... ok."
He sighs and hangs his head in defeat, causing Ny to chuckle, and instantly, he brightens. He's a lovesick puppy.

Unlike the Underground City, the defenses of the Demon Sanctuary were very formidable and easily noticeable, the Demon Sanctuary had put over a thousand different Inscription Patterns to protect their base.

The Demon Sanctuary's only purpose to exist was to free it, their Sovereign, that was their only purpose. Their Sovereign was sealed by the Supreme Leader of the Underground City several hundred years ago.

The Demon Sanctuary had dozen Demigods, and their strongest expert was someone who had nearly entered the Heavenly Fate Realm, merely standing at the gate between the Demigod and Heavenly Fate Realm.

The aged and hoarse voice the Devil Monarch had a conversation with, was one of the strongest Demigods of the Demon Sanctuary, and similarly to their Supreme Leader, was only a very thin line away from the Heavenly Fate Realm.

In total the Demon Sanctuary could hold their own to the Underground City for a while, but if the Supreme Leader interrupted the fight, it would be one sided, with the Underground City easily winning the battle.

Deep inside the Demon Sanctuary, the Demon Council had been gathered, which had several dozens of Demigods and Legend Rank Demon Spiritualists participating, waiting for their leader to come.

"The Devil Monarch does not want to give us the Seal's Key, we need to destroy the Devil Monarch's Kingdom now. They will be a problem to our future plans, my fellow members of the Sanctuary!"

One of the Demigods put forth his opinion, while another one shook his head," While that indeed would be a good idea, with our current power, if we put our troops to thin, we will be exterminated by the enemies."

" I agree with you, the White Monarch's Faction is just waiting for us to lower our guard, while the Underground City might look silent, but they are also a dangerous faction to look for in the future."

The strongest experts, had the most to say, and their words were the ones which were usually listened to, but the other experts could also have a say here, the Demon Sanctuary had many experts, which caused this.

In the most grand looking chapter in the middle, was a man with red skin, as if someone had burned it, and closed eyes. There was no noticeable hair, the man was probably bald, however he had a very mysterious aura.

No one dared to look at him, in fear of pissing him of, the man was blind, but he could still sense everyone in this room, it was said that he purposely blinded himself to sense the Soul Force more carefully!

The man finally opened his mouth, and told his opinion,"I think that we should first destroy the White Monarch's Dungeon, and then deal with the Devil Monarch's Kingdom, we do not require the Seal's Key immediately."

The rest looked at him with widened eyes, the man rarely revealed his opinion of the issue,"After all, we are still not sure where the Seal where our Sovereign was sealed inside is located, the key can wait."

"Tong Zhong, you might be right after all… As the Leader of the Torture Department, I believe your opinion should be considered the highest here, since the Vice Patriarch and Patriarch are not present."

Tong Zhong, looked at the one who spoke, he was a very loyal person to the Demon Sanctuary, who more than anything else wanted for the Sovereign to be unsealed, and for him to lead them to glory.

"Then we have decided, first we will destroy the White Monarch's Dungeon and then the Devil Monarch's Kingdom, we have to be fast and effective, we don't want them to get ready for us!" The rest cheered.

Shen Tian frowned, Xiao Ning'er was still not ready for the date,"Ning'er can you be a bit faster? We don't have the entire day for ourselves!" Feng Hao was in his room, laughing at the couple, much to their dismay.

A moment later, he started to hear footsteps, he looked up and saw Xiao Ning'er, who had changed into some clothes, which really suited her and added a certain charm to her  beauty, he nodded.

A slight smile appearing on his face,"You look even more beautiful today, Ning'er." Xiao Ning'er blushed slightly, Shen Tian wore the clothes he usually wore in Glory City, with different colors and accessories.

Xiao Ning'er smiled," I thank you for the compliment." She walked towards Shen Tian, and intertwined her hand with his, and they left the mansion to go to the Underground City and into a restaurant to have dinner.

After a while, they decided to enter the Solar Wolf Restaurant, one of the most highly rated Restaurants inside the Underground City, with top notch quality meat of various Demon Beasts.

"Shall we go sit there?" Shen Tian pointed into a corner of the Solar Wolf Restaurant, to a table next to some windows, revealing a wonderful sight of the Underground City in it's full glory, she nodded.

Xiao Ning'er sat into a chair, and looked at Shen Tian, who sat at the chair at the other side of the table. She felt attracted to him, and now that he had become even more handsome due to the breakthrough, it was even higher.

"So Ning'er, I've been wondering for a while, but… Do you miss Glory City? I mean you haven't seen your father in what could be considered to be around a month and more." Shen Tian looked at her.

Xiao Ning'er had a sad expression on her face," I do miss my father, however I also do realize that we have a mission to discover the limits of this city in middle of the Dark Ruins." She sighed in sadness.

Shen Tian said,"Then, since you miss the city, and there isn't really an use for us to stay here for a very long period anymore, I will lead us to leave the Underground City after we settle our issues here."

Xiao Ning'er brightened, her expression showed happiness,"Let's hope we get rid of all the problems here as fast as possible then!"
