              Axis suddenly wakes up because twilight still guarding the cave entrance in case for intruders, But Axis already cast a spell. "Alarming Barrier" that has 30 km radius around from the cave site, with this spell if someone pass through the barrier it will alarm so loud that twilight can hear it from far away. When he about to sleep, the alarm suddenly activated.
             Twilight suddenly go to the site where the alarm was located the intruder. When twilight is capturing some intruders, Axis cast some barrier to the cave. Without a matter of seconds, twilight came back that literally shocks Axis. "Almighty one, I'm here to accompany you to the journey of demon subjugation"
            He sees the chieftain was kneeling and has full gear for battle. "Rux!? How is your body? And how in the hell that you be here? Don't tell me that you escape the guard on your own?" Axis use some appraisal and found out that his stats was dramatically increase even he was only level 1 and there is no effects of the title yet but his hp bar was on 50% only.
           "Rux, You need to rest for now. That is an order" The chieftain follow his order and came back from the tribe. Twilight ask "why that chieftain was so dedicated to save his children and brethren". As far axis knows that twilight emotion still unstable, so he carefully explain why there is some behavioral change to the chieftain.
          "Twilight listen carefully and remember it. Because there is loyalty behind it and most of all love. For you not to be confused, love is a feeling that you should not forget because if you cross some one that has a natural feeling of guilt and strange things. Then you walk the road of love, there is 2 path twilight. So listen" Twilight sits and listening very carefully.

            Twilight ask. "Why there is no cure?" Axis smile and explain it. "Because this poison is within your entire existence and flowing inside of you. And this poison called love. The one that you admire so much that you can't even compare it to me, and that person was your only weakness. But when it call in terms of weakness, that person also your strength to stride further in life."
         Twilight ask a question. "Who's this person?" Axis responds. "Who knows? This person can be your guilt or your pride, this love is so complicated that even you can't comprehend to understand." Twilight ask a question. "Then you experience love? Master?" Axis drastically respond. "Yes, but I choose the first path." Twilight is confused so he explain it.
            "In my case I was naïve to understand, so I choose the first path for me to understand what is the meaning of life itself, what is the truth in this world, but there is one consequence. You have been left alone in the darkness of void."
             Twilight was admire axis because he survive that darkness of a void. "Twilight you're still a child when comes to love and the meaning of life, but I'm sure that I don't even tell you, you will know the answer in the future."
         Axis grab his shoulder and said that to him. Twilight just accept the teachings of his master. Axis turn his back and back to sleep but before that he said something to Twilight. "Twilight, be careful at night" Then he sleeps right away. But that speech of worried sounds, gave him a feelings of happiness.
*9 in the morning*
            Axis wakes up and tidy his bed, before he brush his teeth he heard something from outside. A large sound that has a sound of a little fire crackers. He finish his morning routine and check the outside what is happening. He found out that twilight is having a spar on the chieftain of the tribe. Axis observe the sparing match.
          Twilight use the vanish skill more often the only one attack skill Vanish, with his passive skill the Quick feet. He will be difficult to find. The chieftain uses the stance of a bear. Axis notice that they uses some wooden weapons, he believes that this is really a sparring match but for the chieftain this a life threatening match. The chieftain notice the there is a bloodlust coming from the tree behind him. He attack the tree and someone flew.
            He attack the figure but that was just an illusion. Axis knew that was just a trick. Twilight catch his feet and drag it down from the underground that leaving his only head. "Rux Don't be naive! How can you kill the Demon if that was just a simple act of a decoy that you been fooled already? Now Train some more from the cave that has bats! Close your eyes and use your inner spirit to locate the enemy! Now! Go!"
            The chieftain was hurried to go the caves nearby and using his inner strength to locate the enemy. Twilight saw Axis that has woke up, he immediately kneel and ask. "I'm very sorry for some unsightly display." 
         He order twilight to stand up and he responds. "No! It's good that you already know what his passive skills was even though that was just your guess it's awesome for you to notice it. " Twilight bow and responds. "I'm not worthy for such a praise but I'll promise you master that he will going to level up and be able to slay the demon"
          "Now that's a good goal twilight keep it up "While tapping his shoulder for motivation. When Axis preparing to leave the cave for to visit the sisters, twilight hurrying to axis and make a report.
             "Master! All of the tribe people are kneeling and praying to our destination and also they make you a statue for praying." The program suddenly intervene. "I think this will be a good idea, you can use the Statue imprinting with this you can gather some more power and people" Axis thinks about the situation in hand, he ordered twilight to guide the way.
*Destination of Statue*
           "Our God! Our savior! It heeds are call, and he was arrived to save us from this calamity" Axis thinks this was just an insane cult but he remembered that he was a living God. Twilight kneels and pray using the middle finger the tribesmen are confused about the hand symbol so the tribesmen ask a question. "Great apostle of God, What is that symbol?"
          Axis want to stop twilight for the explanation that in hand, but it was already to late. "This is the symbol of your God, This symbol means are pledge. With the fingers are standing up that was his figure, the other four fingers in close shape that was us." The tribesmen get the idea immediately and they copy twilight for this kind of pledge.
        The program contacts axis. "Be careful Axis you will going to hear many noises without a sec, Endure it for a little bit." Suddenly the program warning came true and hit axis like so many whispers in his ears. "What the hell!"
        He couldn't make a suffering figure that will discourage the tribesmen and also Twilight. With a few seconds the noises stops, and the program gave some explanation and suggestion. "Axis, The noises that you hear was the wishes of this tribesmen, and I also suggest that I will take care of the noises that you heard so that we can organized all of the wishes.
             The tribesmen handling some gifts to Axis. He grabs it and give it to them instead. "I'm here not to collect food from all of you, I only need was loyalty to me!" The villagers kneel and amazed at the same time. When they're adoring the simple Awesomeness of Axis there is suddenly a fire start up that came from the tribesmen. 
        All of the tribesmen are present to the vicinity was running towards to the Tribes. When axis and twilight reach the tribesmen base, Axis saw a floating man, from the air that carrying a large boulder, The chieftain was present and also the two daughters so that they protect the tribe.
         The floating man shout. "All of you! A weak little ants! I'm here to occupy your places! I'm gladly asking to leave this place in this instant or become my slave? I'm the God of the Rocks and Stone! Terminus!" The chieftain suddenly in rage. "I know you! You're the one that kill my wife!" The chieftain activates his battle stunts. Mean while Axis and twilight just chilling around and watching the scene in this case of panic.

If the Twilight Bless wasn't inside the stadium, it would light up the skies like a second sun, reaching all across Avancia and the kingdoms next to it.
"What is this light?" Connor yelled. "I can't even seem to open my eyes right. What is this?"
Polschk was laughing as they all witnessed the unlocking of the Twilight Bless. "Finally! I can taste the power!"
Seeing the boys that binded him let their guards down, Polschk conjured vines from the ground. It was too late for the four boys to react from the attack. The vines had already swirled around their bodies, completely holding them.
"Polschk!" Lance yelled. "Let us out! You said you needed us for the Twilight Bless."
He was moving around to loosen himself from the vines, only to fail every time. The vines had small fiber within them that holds each other together and toughens the integrity of the vine.
"You are all so gullible to think that I'd let you receive such power," Polschk chuckled and shook his head. "But no. I am the one who will absorb all of the Twilight Bless."
Connor scoffed, "So, you lied to us?" 
"Yes, and I also told you that I'm on your side," Polschk chuckled. "You haven't realized how blind you were. You're always being betrayed."
Lance stopped forcing his way out of the vines and stared at Polschk, "What do you mean?"
"Ward Lancelot Alorde." The old man raised his hand. From the back of his palm grew a small brown plant that had a large bud on the tip. The bud opened, revealing an eye that looked around before settling its gaze on Lance.
"I have been spying on you since you decided to become an Adventurer, Mr. Lance," Polschk grinned menacingly. "Your decision intrigued me to the point that I almost wanted you to become part of my new world. I was only looking, seeing everything that you did ever since you were sixteen. I saw… everything."
"You mean you also saw his thing?" Ed asked with a grimace. "That sounds weird."
"For the sake of science and progress," Polschk said. He shook his head and walked closer to the altar. From the hole he dug so he could access the chamber of the keys, Polschk grew a bridge made of plants and wood.
He walked past the bridge and extended his hands on both sides, raising his head up to the skies. "I can feel its power. All the power of the Twilight Bless, they are slowly emerging."
The final key was hovering on the side. It was floating all alone since they didn't have the seventh Twilight Wing for it to merge with.
"I will find your use, little one," Polschk whispered to the key. "I will just awaken your siblings and I'll find your other half. Then we can be a happy family."
"The power is overwhelming," Ed grunted. "This is too much power concentrated into one area. I don't think this place will last."
Connor contorted his face in confusion. "But why does it seem odd?"
"This has to stop!" Hope suddenly yelled. He grunted and used all his strength to break out of the vines that binded him. Hope ran towards Polschk, screaming for the man to stop.
"He's planning to absorb the Bless alone!" Lance yelled. "Polschk, don't you dare do it."
"Oh, I will dare," the old man chuckled. "This power will make me the most powerful being in any realm. I can even make Malice kneel after I give her a taste of my power."
"Polshk, it will destroy your body," Lance said. "Listen to me Polshk. It will kill you. You said it yourself. It killed people before just my taking a whiff of its strength."
"I have created large empty mana pools inside my body for this moment. And if the mana pools doesn't work, I have her," Polschk pointed at the judges' balcony. He softened his gaze and smiled, "My dear Locraine."
"You promised to spare my clan," Madam Locraine yelled from the roof of the balcony. "I will see this happen Polschk, right?"
"What is the meaning of this?!" Lance yelled. "Madam Locraine, we trusted you! Elliot– The boy's dead and he trusted you!"
"I don't need to have any personal attachments when the sake of my clan hangs in the balance," Madam Locraine said. "I'm sorry."
She pointed her palms at Polschk, a rustic cold charge of power appearing in front of her. On the balcony below Locraine were antique items that glowed with the same rustic gold color. The glow floated towards the top where Madam Locraine was.
"While she's charging herself," Polschk turned around to face the boys. "You can enjoy this spare key."
He turned to the side where the seventh key was, but his eyes could only widen after seeing that it wasn't there anymore. "The seventh key. Where is it?"
Polschk looked around for the key. He was starting to panic as to how he lost such an important item. It was also concerning how it was gone in an instant when it was just here not a few moments earlier.
The key Polschk was looking for was in the hands of a slender female figure than ran through the dark hallways of the stadium. The figure continued running until she reached a door, stopping and looking around before entering it.
"Good work," Jameson said after Katarina opened the door. "I knew Elliot wasn't a complete idiot."
Behind Jameson, on the cold stone floors, Elliot's body was laid down. He was now significantly more pale and the blood from his wounds had already dried up. Anyone who could see him would pity the boy because of the fate he got.
"His orders were to not engage before the keys would be revealed. It was my own free will to take his body with me," Katarina replied. "I couldn't bear to see him laying there, dead as a hunted deer."
"That's one of the worst analogies I've ever heard, but okay," Jameson shook his head. He took the key from Katarina and let the woman close the door.
After Isabelle and Kian left him, Jameson saw Katarina watching the fight. He asked Katarina for her intentions and found out she was working for Elliot.
Jameson felt the key in his hand twitch. He opened his hand and the key instantly leaped from his palm, dangling in the air and meeting with the awaiting butterfly on the other side of the room.
When the two objects met each other, they formed a red sphere that glowed brightly. Katarina and Jameson looked at each other after seeing a red sphere instead of white. The other six Twilight Wings formed white spheres, but the seventh one was red.
"What is happening?" Jameson gasped. "I don't think we did the right thing. Did we do the right thing?"
"I was only following instructions," Katarina said. "Don't you know a thing or two about the Twilight Bless?"
"I am doubting everything that Polschk told me," Jameson said. "He even said that I was one of the most handsome boy in the Spice Islands, even that I am doubting."
The two gulped and had no choice but to watch the sphere pulsate and grow exponentially. Jameson had shaky hands that Katarina didn't know why she held it. "Don't worry. I only see you as a younger brother."
"Good," Jameson sighed in relief. "Because I'm too handsome for you."
"Pathetic," Katarina scoffed. Both their eyes squinted when the sphere glowed even brighter, bursting brightly and swallowed the entire room with its light.

"Finally!" Polshk yelled. He kneeled and watched as the spheres stopped growing. They were now with the same size as a large two storey house. "I will start the absorption. Locraine, hit me up!"
The woman from the balcony nodded. She was about to fire her beam when a small dot of black tint grew from the bottom of the spheres. The dot grew and covered the entire pearl-like surface of the sphere. 
The white spheres were now black, making Poslchk confused. "What is happening?"
He was now in complete utter shock when there was cracking sounds coming from the spheres. A large crack was formed at the top, the crack slowly traveling down to the bottom of the spheres.
"Those oddly reminds me of my boiled eggs," Ed gulped. "What in the hell?"
Polschk could only gasp when a large claw burst out of one of the spheres. The claw was pitch black, its nails were long and sharp while its hand and arm was scaled but hairy.
The Man appeared above the stadium. He hovered over the stadium while crossing his arms. "Congratulations, Terrans. You have walked right into the pits of Abyss itself."
"What do you mean?" Polschk gulped. "The Twilight Bless… it says that there's going to be power inside the Twilight Wings."
"And there's also a lot of things in there," the Man chuckled. "You're so pathetic, Terran."
"What is the meaning of this?" Polschk yelled. "What is this?!"
"The Twilight Bless…" the Man trailed off. "Also known as the Seal of the Seven Deathly Sins."


It was always Elliot's dream to become an Adventurer.
He lacked magic powers to which was why society looked down on him.
His life changed when he was lost in the Forest of Gray Lake, and a book found its way into Elliot's hand. The book was a manual to become strong.

CHAPTER 14 


TEAM A (Chaos's group) 

"Kailangan ba natin hanapin ang light switch?" Tanong ni Effie sa mga kasamang kanina pa nagiisip kung paano buksan ang ilaw. 

"It's too dark. I can't even see all of you." Sambit naman ni Chaos habang kinakapa ang bawat pader. 

"There are no light switch!" Friday exclaimed. 

"Give me your phone." Utos ni Matix kay Effie na siyang katabi lang nito. 

"Bakit?" Effie asked nang ibigay niya ang phone niya. 

"We'll turn on the flashlight of course." 

Then an automated voice spoke, "fifteen minutes left." 

Matix cursed as he hurriedly turn on the flashlight. Nilibot niya iyon sa buong kwarto. Habang pinapailaw ang kwarto, may nagreflect na ilaw mula sa kaliwa. 

"There's a mirror." Chaos uttered. 

Lumapit ang apat sa salamin at pinakatitigan ito. "Why would there be a mirror on a dark room?" Friday asked.

"Could it be a two way mirror?" Effie  deduced. 

Chaos interferred. "Hold the flashlight well, Matix." Aniya at nilagay ang daliri sa salamin.

He explains, "a standard mirror has a gap between my finger and its reflection. While a two way mirror directly touches the reflection." Pinakita niya sa kasama ang daliri kung saan ang reflection nito ay magkadikit sa daliri. 

"It is a two way mirror." Friday mumbled. 

"Baka nasa loob ang susi para mabuksan ang pinto?"
Binuksan ni Matix at Chaos ang salamin. Sa halip na makita ang susi, isang papel at box na may padlock ang nasa loob. 

Chaos read what's on the paper. "Ha,
Fooled you. The key is in the box. Goodluck. -Seven" 

"How do we get the password?" Ani Friday na hawak ang box. 

The automated voice spoke, "ten minutes left." 

Matix cussed again then analyzed the box. His eyes then widen in glint. "Alam ko na." He uttered then pressed certain numbers. 

Makalipas ang ilang segundo, bumukas ang lock. 

"How did you do that?" Manghang tanong ni Effie. 

Matix proudly smiled. "There are roman numbers in the box. The first four roman numbers are IV, V, II, VI. It trnaslates to 4, 5, 2, and 6." 

Friday, who's holding the box immediately opened it. But instead of a key, another paper was there. 

She took it and read it. "Fooled you once, it's fine but fooled you twice, shame on you. The key is not in box. -Seven" 

"Damn that Seven!" Galit na sambit ni Chaos. 

"Nasaan ba ang susi na yan?!" Effie frustratingly exclaimed. 

Nilibot ulit ni Matix ang buong kwarto na may flashlight, sinama rin niya ag ceiling sa paghahanap. 

Makalipas ang ilang segundo, sumigaw siya. "The key is there!" Aniya at tinuturo ang susi na nasa itaas ng nakasaradong pinto. 

"I'll get it." Ani Chaos at tumingkayad para abutin ang susi. 

He opened the door using the key. Tumambad sa kanila ang isang hallway na may apat na pinto. Sa tapat ng nakasaradong pinto ay may papel na may mathematical equations. 

Then an automated voice spoke, "Solve the mathematical equations and riddles.
The equations or riddles with the correct answer is the correct door. You have one hour to solve it." 

"Each of us should take one door." Ani Chaos at tumakbo papunta sa isang pinto. 

His equations states "Evaluate the function: 2x^3 + 3x^2 - 6x = 17 if x=2" 

"This is basic." Simpleng sambit ni Chaos at ginamit ang whiteboard sa gilid para isolve ang equation. 

In this equation, he just have to substitute 2 to all the x variable. 2x^3 results to 16. 3x^2 is 12. When you add the two, the answer will be 28. 6x is 12. Subtract it to 28 and the answer will be 16. 

But the given answer is 17 so that means the door that Chaos solved is wrong. 

Sino ang may hawak ng tamang pintuan? 

Meanwhile, Friday is solving a riddle: "You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I'm quick when I'm thin and slow when I'm fat. The wind is my enemy." 

Sa ibaba ng riddle ay ang sagot na: "Fire" 

Is fire really the correct answer? Or there is something else? 

An automated voice spoke, "twist the door knob if you think the door is correct. If you twisted the wrong doorknob, your time will be reduced to twenty minutes. As of now, you have 50 minutes left." 

Friday frustratingly pulled her hair. She was quick to answer and twisted the doorknob but a loud siren filled the whole room. 

An automated voice was heard, "Wrong answer. Time left, 30 minutes." 

Friday stilled. Ilang beses niyang pinakatitigan ang riddle na nasa pintuan. That's when she realized, the answer is wrong. Because the wind is not the fire's enemy. In fact, it helps the fire spread widely. 

Friday then snapped her fingers. "The answer is a candle." She mumbled to herself. 

A candle is slow to expire when it's new and fat but when it's thin, it fastly expires. And when you blow a candle, it's fire will go out. 


Si Effie naman ay may hawak na tanong na: "There once was a lady who really liked pink. In her cozy, little one-story house,
everything was pink. Even her dog was pink. Her hair, her carpet, everything.
What color are her stairs?"

Sa ibaba ay may sagot na: "None."

Effie frowned. "This is so basic. It was pink. Everything in her house is pink." Aniya at hindi ito binuksan. 

Sumunod si Matix na may hawak na tanong na: "Who proposed the theory of continuity of germplasm and strongly discarded the theory of inheritance acquired character given by _____?"

Sa ibaba ay may sagot na: "Lamark, Darwin." 

Marahas na umiling si Matix. "The correct answer is Mendel and Weisman." He said at hindi na binuksan ang pinto. 

"Wait, so where is the correct door?" Naguguluhang tanong ni Chaos nang wala sa kanila ang bumukas ng pinto. 

"Double check your doors. Baka mali ang sagot niyo." Aniya at bumalik sa pinto niya. 

Effie once again checked on her door. 
"There once was a lady who really liked pink. In her cozy, little one-story house,
everything was pink. Even her dog was pink. Her hair, her carpet, everything.
What color are her stairs?"

After a few seconds, her eyes widen. 

She is wrong! The lady doesn't have any stairs because she's living on a one-story house! "Guys, I found the correct door." Sigaw niya at dali-daling binuksan ang pinto. 


When the door opened, bumulagtad sa kanila ang isang malaking screen. 

"Ano naman ang gagawin natin?" Effie asked. 

Again, an automated voice spoke, "Welcome to Seven's third game. The truth or lie game! Several questions are shown on the screen. To open the door, one of you shall answer all the questions honestly, or the walls will narrow down the room. Enjoy!" 

Matapos magsalita, dumilim ang paligid. 

Isang podium ang nasa gitna at sa harap ay isang malaking screen. 

Then, the first question flashed on the screen. 

"For Chaos, do you really like Friday Cortez?"

Chaos was quick to answer. "Yes." 
A green light appeared signals that Chaos was telling the truth. Another one appeared for him. "You are a part of the Genesis." 

Chaos furrowed his eyebrows. "No." 
Then the walls narrowed down. Meaning, Chaos lied. 

"I don't even know what is the Genesis." Depensa niya. 

Sunod na tanong naman ang tungkol kay Friday. 

"Friday, do you really like Chaos? Or you were just afraid of rejecting him?" 

Friday stilled before answering, "I like him. I really do." 

This time, no lights appeared. There was defeaning silence for the whole room. Hanggang sa gumalaw ang mga pader at unti-unting lumiliit ang buong kwarto. 

"Friday..." hindi makapaniwalang sambit ni Chaos. 
"Chaos. Totoo ang sinabi ko. The machine is lying!" Ani Friday at unti-unting namumuo ang luha sa mga mata. 

Chaos didn't speak instead, he hugged Friday so tight like he's afraid of letting her go. 

The next question appeared. "Effie, have you thought of joining the beast's side? Did you have any regrets in joining Chaos's team?" 

Effie was silent for a moment until she answered. "I thought of joining before. When the beast threatened me, I thought of betraying my friends so my family could be safe." Effie sobbed. 

The green light appeared meaning, Effie was telling the truth. 

Agad naman siyang tumingin sa mga kaibigan. "Alam kong tinraidor ko na kayo noon pero sana naintindihan niyo ang sitwasyon ko. Hindi ko naman na uulitin iyon eh." 

Another question appeared for Effie. "Are you part of the Genesis?" 

Effie stayed quiet. She doesn't have the heart to answer yes or no. 

The walls narrowed down. Mas lalong sumikip at lumiit ang kwarto dahil walang isinagot si Effie.

Matix asked, "ano ba iyang the Genesis na yan?" He confusingly asked. 

Marahas na umiling si Effie. "I don't know any of that." Sambit niya. 

Ang sunod na tanong ay para kay Matix. "You have once worked for the beast." 

Matix frowned. "Of course not. I'm loyal to Chaos." He then smirked at Chaos who just winced. 

The green light appeared and another question flashed on the screen. "You are pretending that you don't know Twilight Martinez." 

Matix stilled before answering. "No. Hindi ko talaga siya kilala." 
The green light once again appeared meaning that Matix was telling the truth. 

At dahil dalawang beses nagsabi ng totoo si Matix, bumukas ang pinto para makapunta sila sa susunod na patutunguhan. 

It was a long dark hallway. Habang naglalakad ay hindi maiwasang magsalita si Chaos. "I don't know any of thay Genesis thing. Maybe Seven is making it all up to confuse us." Aniya. 

Effie nodded. "Me too. Pagkatapos ng lahat ng ito, aalamin natin kung ano ang Genesis na iyan." 

Bumaling naman si Friday kay Chaos habang nakahawak sa kamay nito. "Chaos, I was telling the truth. Believe me please. Gusto kita hindi dahil naaawa ako sayo. Please, maniwala ka sa akin." Pakiusap niya. 

Ginulo ni Chaos ang buhok ni Friday. "I believe you than that machine, Friday." Masuyong sambit nito. 

Matix grimaced. "Pwede ba, huwag kayong maglampungan sa harap namin. Single people here." Turo ni Matix sa kanila ni Effie. 

Effie frowned. "Huwag mo nga akong dinadamay, Matix. Ang dami mong alam eh yung mga videos na nasa file ni X, naretrieve niyo na ba ni Twilight?" 

Matix smirked. "Yup. Twilight and I finally retrieved it. Hindi pa namin napapanood dahil gusto namin na magkakasama tayong lahat na panoorin iyon. My tablet is with Twilight." 

"We need to watch it as fast as we can." Ani Chaos. 

Huminga nang malalim si Matix. "I'm tired. This is so exhausting." Komento niya. 

"Oo nga. I wonder, kamusta na ang Agati siblings?" Puna ni Friday. 

Nang makarating sa susunod na pinto, binuksan nila iyon at isang napakalaking warehouse at nasa gitna noon ay ang Agati siblings na hinihingal at pawang pagod na pagod. 

"Twilight? Anong nangyari sa inyo?" Effie called. 

Nagmulat ng mata si Twilight at naiiyak na tumakbo kay Effie at niyakap ito. "Effie! Thank god, nandito na kayo. Alam mo ba kung anong pahirap na ginawa sa akin ng X na yan? At ang mga kupal kong mga kapatid, they made me do all the work!" 

Friday glanced at the three brothers. "Bakit parang mas pagod pa sila sayo?" 

Twilight frowned. "Because I got mad at sila na ang pinagawa ko ng huling laro." 

"What game was it anyways?" 

Twilight was about to speak when the whole warehouse blacked out. 


And all that was heard was a loud gunshot.

After looking at the Heaven-Piercing Twilight Bow's Attributes, Jiang Fei nodded. As an Ancient weapon, the Heaven-Piercing Twilight Bow's Attack and Additional Attributes were much stronger than the Legendary Twilight Bow. Moreover, it provided an additional Lockdown skill.
With the additional skill, an Archer's Accuracy would no longer be an issue. As long as the Archer shot in the approximate direction of his target, he would not miss with the 60-degree auto-correction effect.
However, as it was an Ancient weapon, the Heaven-Piercing Twilight Bow still had its drawbacks. Every attack would cost additional Mana Points. The Archer Class players had Attack Speed second only to the Bandit Class players. If each arrow shot cost 50 Mana Points, their existing pool of Mana would not last them very long.
However, this disadvantage would only be apparent during normal fights. In a PvP battle, the drawback would not be very obvious. This was because normal fights would last very long, while PvP battles between players would usually end very quickly. Therefore, the cost of Mana could be ignored in PvP battles.
Based on the current level of the weapon, it was definitely the most godly weapon the Archer Class players could obtain. Even the Rainbow Equipment of the Hidden Class players could not compare with it.

Night Stripe gave a nod, shaking of the tenseness on his shoulders, glancing at his translator, wary a bit, but didn't make note of it to the other, ending with only another nod.
"Though sorry if, my translation was a little off, I'm still working on it." The other said with an apologetic smile, glad to see the other waved it off, though not long later, another sign went with it.

When finally reaching the class, the translator took a seat, just in time. Teacher nowhere in sight, meaning a small break was given, short it would be by guessing, yet it was something.
"Twilight, where were you in last class?" A voice called out in question, when taking a seat by the one named Twilight, sighing of how busy the day has been.
"I signed up for the translator job, it was short notice and I had to give it a try. From what I have been told, I did really well, but one does not need to brag here, Rainbow Dash."
"You were a translator for what really, if you are being so proud about this, huh?"
"SL . . . sign language, there were others, but they had to go other students in need. And the one, who needed one at short notice, doesn't seem bothered because of it. He was really patience with me, even though how it ended in the classes, was a bit odd. Never knew how close some words were, until it comes off as a weird joke." Twilight implied, while an embracement mark of flush ended on her face, when thinking back to the last two classes.
Rainbow Dash failed at keeping a straight face from what likely Twilight was entailing. Smalls of sneakers slip through her person, not going amiss from the other, who gave a pout.
"Keep in mind, I'm your partner for Spanish class, I watch it if I were you."
Rainbow Dash paled for only a second, before trying to save face, clearing her throat, calming herself.
"Well sorry, I just find it hard to believe, that you would mess something up. Let alone while in front a classroom. Unlike you, also unlikely for someone to forgive so easily because of it . . . you must be a master compare to whoever this guy had last time."
"No, not really, his translator got called away out of town, and what he told me, it was the sub-teacher that normally covers our science teacher. Speaking of science . . . there is so much to do in that class, I can't believe we're given some extra time to do it. I wonder how Pinkie and Applejack are doing right now. They're not partners for the major segment for it, but lab will be overblown for it, trying to coming with different chemical reactions with only a handful of items, is not an easy feat, alone anyway, but still . . ."
At this point, Rainbow Dash was too busy with something else, too engross on her phone to take notice of Twilight's science rant.
Rainbow Dash ended up mindlessly asking out the following words. "You think I should ask Thunderlane to the dance, he's going to graduate this year, so yeah. What do you think?"
Her eyes never leaving the phone screen, texting away.
Twilight somehow was able to pause and look to Rainbow Dash, before stating in a question. "I thought he was going out with Fluttershy, with how those two acts with each other the last couple of months."
"Nope, not the case, a few days ago, I saw them chatting in the hallways, it wasn't pretty at first." Rainbow saying back, before thinking back on what she saw, that even confused her.
Lunch break was the time of this, Rainbow Dash, sparing a moment to skip lunch, hurting the action it was to her, as she tried to get to her locker, before the warning bell rang.
Upcoming to her locker, around the corner she saw Thunderlane and Fluttershy talking. Calming as it was in the hallways, with Fluttershy's soft voice, Thunderlane's was the only one she could here, to what Fluttershy was saying, she could only guess.
From their point of view, the words that spoken were the following; for to ensure in no ill will to each other, just trying to get an understanding to one another.
"Thunderlane, I just want to be clear on, that is to that you hurt a classmate of yours in gym, that happened about a little less week ago?"
"On what happen in gym, umm, let's see." Thunderlane ask in wonderment, before replying with. "I partner up with a quiet kid. We had a disagreement on the steps, he fell, I tried to help him, but he pushed me away. Go over and over that was he was . . . sorry . . . I think that's what the nurse told me when I was able to get into him to nurses' office."
"He fell?" She asked, staring him down.
"Okay, when he didn't even bother to use the neck pad the gym teacher gave him to use to talk with me; when he didn't bother to answer after the few times I asked. I ended up grabbing him . . . too roughly, I'll say I'm guilty of, and it spooked him. His hands were moving so fast, I had no idea what he was trying to tell me until after getting him to see the nurse. Though I guess from how you're acting about this, I'm guessing right."
"About what are you talking about?" Asking in tenseness, while staring down him still, waiting for a reply.
"That you two are seeing each or something?"
"Night Stripe and I haven't even know each other that long, he's someone who I fine nice to talk to. That's it; he's just nice to talk to, nothing else."
"Not dating?"
"No, and after all this, I have b-been meaning to tell you, but things a-always seemed to come up, and n-no more stalling . . . Thunderlane, I'm sorry to say, but no, I don't wish to go on a date with you, I-I know that you have been thinking to ask me. You're nice and everything, but I don't it will work out. I'm sorry."
"Well at least you letting down this easy on me, better than I thought you would. Thanks for at least giving me an answer. Still friends?"
"Yes."
All Rainbow Dash heard of them was being friends, saying goodbyes, before going their own ways. Rough at the start, smoothing out to the end of it, when finally seeing they were gone from sight of the long hallway, Rainbow Dash got to her locker, grabbing her things, making back to lunch in time for something to eat, meeting up with her friends, all but Fluttershy, who showed up later.
Coming back from that deep thinking of storytelling, stopping midway of her texting to look up to Twilight, again, to ask her friend's side of this question, if she should try and ask out Thunderlane.
"Well . . . if they are not going out, I don't see the harm. Yeah, go for it."
"And now you have to do is ask out Flash, and everything will be just right with the world." Rainbow Dash said back, with an eye roll.
Twilight was about to say something back, grumpy face in tow for it, before the teacher finally came in, ready for the class, for the lucky enough reminded those this was a free period, and final for the they were in would happen tomorrow.
"But I studied . . ." Whisper Twilight, but it was overshadowed by most of the classmates' more cheerful words, soon adding to herself, and her close friend's dismay. "Well there is next class."
"Don't remind me."

Mini encounters happen for Fluttershy, as her third year of high school ends and preparing for her last year. At the first encounter, it was brushed off, yet as they keep happening, Fluttershy makes a new friend along the way.

"Am I blacky?"

The black leopard mumbled internally. There was a hint of excitement in its thoughts. Black Mamba was slightly embarrassed. The "blacky" he'd called out without much thought became its name. He felt sorry since the receiver seemed to like it.

"Right. You're blacky."

"Thanks. But what are you?"

"I'm what you call a human. I'm Dong-bang-bull-pae."

"Human? Dong-bang-bull-pae, could you share your knowledge? Your knowledge and way of thinking seem very different from mine. I need to understand your knowledge and perceptions to start a conversation."

"Yeah."

Woosh— 

His brain suddenly felt a cool sensation. The poking sensation he felt on his brain tickled him. At the same time, he could relive a block of blacky's memories as though it was his.

"Wait, are these blacky's thoughts?"

Black Mamba's meditation broke off. The moment he realized it was blacky that had sent him those thoughts, his consciousness returned to the present.

"F***, what is that!"

Dumbfounded, Black Mamba could only look at the black leopard. The b*stard, which he thought would die soon, was staring at him in a comfortable position. It had returned to its original shape. It had also recovered at a tremendous speed. That wasn't the problem. Now that he was in the right mind, he was aware that those thoughts had come from that b*stard instead of his inner voice. He was at a loss for words. 

"Human Dong-bang-bull-pae, thank you for sharing your name and knowledge. With this, I have gained attributes and a form. I have become a defined existence."

"Ha! Is it at my teacher's level? Mind language of enlightening wisdom? Translation of intentions?"

Despite their language differences, its intentions had successfully reached his brain. In other words, it was a standardized thought wave. One's ears could pick up languages through air fluctuations created by sound organs when conveying IPA in which the brain would analyze.

If intentions could be transferred directly to the synapses in the brain's language center, there would be no need for languages. Did the blacky convey its intentions directly to his brain? The situation was turning more and more like Wonderland. It was a living fantasy. Was that even possible?

"I see!"

Black Mamba slapped his forehead. He'd conversed with the black leopard in his silent meditative state. It meant that he could convey his intentions through his resonance waves. There was no reason why he couldn't convey his intentions through resonance waves when he could deliver resonance waves through his voice. That would be the mind language of enlightening wisdom, featured in martial arts novels.

He calmed his mind with the mind centering technique. He disregarded the external disturbances and engaged his inner mind.

Boom— 

It automatically triggered his resonance waves. It was soft and resistant. It wasn't the thick, violent resonance waves that usually rushed around. He placed meaning in his resonance. 

"So, you gained attributes and a form? What are you? Aren't you a black leopard?"

What was that thing? His curiosity might drive him mad. It was an isolated ecosystem from the Mesozoic era. According to the evolutionary tree and no matter how far back he went, the leopard's origins dated back to no more than 4,000,000 years ago.

It was hard to connect a point from 100,000,000 years ago to a point from 4,000,000 years ago. While the differences in geological age were ambiguous, there was too much of a difference. The saber-toothed tiger, which belonged in the same family tree as the leopard, was a good example. Based on the geological time scale, there wasn't much of a difference between its appearance and the leopard's appearance. 

"No. I'm an atypical being that exists yet doesn't exist. According to your stored memories, I'm neither an animal nor a plant. The black leopard is an image you made up yourself. You have a bad memory with leopards. That memory recognized me as a black leopard. So, I appeared in the form of a black leopard. Now, I exist as blacky, because you gave me that name."

"What? So if I recognized you as a female human, you would have appeared as a female human? Does it work like that?" 

"Of course."

"Damn, how good would it be if I had recognized you as Edel?"

Black Mamba clicked his tongue. It was a ridiculous thought. If the black leopard was speaking the truth, there wouldn't be a reason to fight so violently, and he could have spent the time well and peacefully.

"Can you change again if I recognize you as a female human?"

"Kekekeke! You're lonely, aren't you? A rock will always be a rock no matter how much you wish it to be a diamond."

The blacky crackled. The b*stard, which had sent terrifying low-level ELF attacks with glaring eyes, seemed so different.

"I see." 

Black Mamba came to a realization. The black leopard was something like a god. A true god wasn't a presence that could be justified. How could an inferior human understand and conceptualize a higher being?

An ant could only recognize a human's finger as a large pillar. The same went for humans. When justified and conceptualized, gods were no longer gods. In other words, that gave meaning to something insignificant. He'd given a meaningless presence, which took up space, the concept of a black leopard, and it had turned into a black leopard.

When concepts combined with reality, it turned into beings. He hadn't thought of that since the possession of names was natural. He was born a human and existed as Mu Ssang since that was his name. He acted like Ddu-bai-buru-pa, which was why he was called Ddu-bai-buru-pa. The black leopard had become a black leopard with his definition and became a purposeful existence with the given name, blacky.

"Describe your past from before you became blacky."

"I don't have a past. The concept of past and future only existed when I became blacky. It is considered foolish to find meaning in meaningless things. I will explain to you the primitive knowledge I have within me."

Long ago, when the past couldn't be defined by a humans' concept of time, the master of the Earth was the Concretus[1]. They were the owners of the Epidium and me, blacky's master. The Concretus extended their lives with advanced science and medicine. It optimized the genetic map and revived species that died from accidents or age with genetic engineering. I, blacky, was one of the elements required for the Concretus' revival, who died in the Age of Twilight.

"What a surprising story. If that's the case, I can understand the existence of atypical and non-conceptual beings. Your master must have removed the necessary parts from others to fill in any missing parts of those that needed treatment. Was it a level of philosophy beyond medicine? Why did the great Concretus disappear? Are there any other intelligent beings?"

"I don't know other intelligent beings other than the Concretus. Primitive knowledge is based on self-preservation. It is extremely unstable and fragmentary. It cannot be judged or reasoned with at all. My knowledge has increased from gaining self-awareness, but I'm still lacking. It means I can't answer complicated questions. I need you to understand simple things."

"They were responsible for the fall of intelligent beings. They extended their lives using science and medicine. Their lifespan of 120 years extended to 500 years. They praised science and medicine. Enamored by their longer life spans, they desired for eternal life."

"They focused on extending their lives even longer once they fell into the dogma of transcendent science. They could live up to 700 years. They were like gods but not gods. They had developed genetic engineering enough to create me, blacky, but signs of the Age of Twilight, which soon followed, also appeared. The longer they lived, the slower the evolution and the lesser the diversity."

Blacky continued, "Species evolved by overcoming pain and danger. There was no reason for the Concretus to be in danger or be tormented when advanced science had been achieved. The Concretus' genes grew weaker across 1,000,000s of years."

"Anything alive evolved through a selection. Weaker species with malignant genetic factors were eliminated earlier on, breaking off any genetic link. For example, patients with congenital heart disease or diabetes would die earlier, unable to live out their lives. A person with weak leg bones would die earlier from being chased by a ferocious beast. It meant that their genes couldn't pass on."

"But the Concretus didn't die until their lives ran out. With science and medicine, the Concretus lived for 700 years. It could even revive a Concretus that had committed suicide. Was it a blessing or a curse?"

"Wow, to not have the freedom to die is like hell. Those malignant genes must have increased in number," Black Mamba thought.

"Yes. Over the course of 1,000,000s of years, the gene pool grew full of malignant and modified genes. The entire species became weak, and genetic diseases and mutations continued. The HeLa cells, especially, were the problem since apoptosis couldn't function properly. A deformity in which specific body organs would grow endlessly was found. In human terms, it was god's punishment for those who disregarded divine providence."

"Viruses and bacterias are components of the Earth, just like air. Cells evolve by fighting and cohabiting with viruses, even accepting parts of it. Viruses invade cells and leave imprints of their DNA. Cells that overcome viruses become even stronger. In summary, it gains immunity and delivers genetic information to the next generation. The Concretus didn't give a chance for their species to be tormented."

"They used vaccines, immune serums, antibiotics, and clones to save lives. The opportunity for immune genes to grow was deprived, and the weak genes were passed onto the next generation. The Concretus were isolated from the cycle of natural evolution due to advanced science," Blacky went on.

"Although they managed to extend their lives by manipulating genes like telomeres, their immunity system and bodies weakened. In the end, birth rates dropped significantly. Inevitably, they had to resort to external fertilization to create offspring. Strange enough, the offspring born from external fertilization wasn't the Concretus but the Epidium."

"You mentioned an Epidium before. What is an Epidium?" Black Mamba asked.

"Kekeke, that's you. There seems to be a human species called the Paranthropus in your memories. They were originally called the Epidium. The weak Concretus wanted a strong descendant. They modified all kinds of genetic information to strengthen the body and improve sight. The existence born from that was the Epidium."

"They were strong, but for some unknown reason, the Epidium had low intelligence. They didn't even reach the intelligence level of a Concretus offspring. It was probably due to their weak genes. They were flustered by the birth of a strong and unintelligent child. The Concretus tried everything they could for a long time but weren't able to solve the problem."

"They used the Epidium, which couldn't integrate into their society, for two purposes. The tame Epidium took on the hard work for the Concretus. Meanwhile, they injected transmitters into the violent Epidium and released them into nature. They wanted to observe the evolutionary processes following nature's cycle. You're a descendant of the violent Epidium that the Concretus released into nature."

"Huh!"

Black Mamba's mouth hung open at the great story that took place during the ancient times. Apparently, 100s and 1,000,000s of years before the emergence of modern humans, a highly intelligent civilization called the Concretus had existed. The Paranthropus, no, the Epidium was a  result of the Concretus' unsuccessful external fertilization. He couldn't help but be surprised.

Blacky continued the story.

"The aged died, and the birth rate decreased over time. The population's deceleration phase got out of hand. The Concretus named the day of their last birth the "Button of Twilight." 50,000 years from the Button of Twilight to their extinction was referred to as the Age of Twilight."

"In the Age of Twilight, they created soulless beings to transfer their souls into them. That was their last attempt at stopping extinction, I suppose. Countless experiments were carried out. The Concretus slowly dropped from Twilight to Darkness through successes and failures."

"They didn't acknowledge the existence of the experimental outcome. They referred to the creatures of the experiment, Adras, as non-existent beings. According to your knowledge, Adras is a kind of homunculus. While the Epidium were just idiots, the Adras were non-existent beings with bodies. Basically, pitiful creatures without souls or self-will. Well, I suppose the concept of pitifulness was created after they were given their names," Blacky carried on.

"Their end was brought about by a massive meteorite impact. While the Concretus could block a meteorite with their advanced science, they were helpless. They had the ability but hadn't been prepared. They had focused all of their resources and manpower on genetic engineering. They had to, to prevent extinction. Large-scale volcanic eruptions and shifting tectonic plates tore the Earth apart. The Concretus couldn't do anything."

"When society fell into chaos, a hole opened amidst their fight against the viruses. The Concretus conducted indiscriminate genetic manipulation and created drugs to protect their immune system. Countless virus variants were created in the process. They believed that they could control the virus outbreak, but that was just arrogance. Viruses evolved too. The Concretus that was almost in the last phase of extinction during the Age of Twilight suddenly disappeared. Either way, they would have silently disappeared within 1,000 years or so."

"How could this be!"

Black Mamba was extremely confused. It was a story about an ancient civilization that resided on Earth 1,000,000s of years ago and how their extreme intelligence drove themselves to extinction. All the knowledge he'd learned and memorized until now seemed useless. He felt as though he was listening to the future of Homo sapiens, who were completely immersed in scientific universalism. Did the arrogance of intelligent beings lead to destruction?

"A part of the Earth's crust, where the experimental factory was located, collapsed. Some of the liquefied Adras flowed into this place. The liquefied Adras was designed to be sensitive to viruses. It is the same for me. There's no such thing as life for the Adras. Environmental maladjustment and viral infections would kill the Adras. All the Adras that flowed in here were destroyed," Blacky explained.

"I don't know why I am alive. I've simply kept my place, neither dead nor alive, for several years. The smell of the Epidium woke me up. I am glad to call myself by my name. I'm glad to experience this emotion called happiness. My master, the Concretus, disappeared in the Age of Twilight, but the genetically enhanced Epidium survived by adapting to the Earth's climate. I'm surprised an Epidium still lives. There's a good concept called 'friend' in your memories. I want to be your friend." 

"Gosh!"

The blacky's long story ended. Black Mamba had nothing to say except to exclaim. It was an unbelievable story, but the Mesozoic era had existed before him, and there was a blacky called the Adras.
