I wake to bird chirping and light shine through the window. Getting up I see wooden floors with a desk in the right corner by the door that is in front of me.
Summer-Well what I expect from a small village that in the middle of nowhere.
Tom- 'What you mean the middle of nowhere?'
Summer- 'The continent is big but, I don't know how big.'
Tom- 'Then why not go to a library and find out.'
Summer- 'But I need money, and the best place is to go to a hunter guild.'
Tom- 'And if they appraise you for the element you have.'
Summer- 'Um.'
Tom- 'If they trick you into signing a contract or don't pay you as much that others receive.'
Summer- 'Ok, ok, you made your point.'
Summer gets up from the bed then grabs her bag to check it.
Summer- 'I got the dagger, cloak, and other things.'
Tom- 'You took the cloak off to sleep?'
Summer- 'Yep.'
Tom- 'Sleep with it on.'
Summer- 'Why?'
Tom- 'What are you?'
Summer- 'A girl.'
Tom- 'What else.'
Summer- 'An elf.'
Tom- 'And?'
Summer- 'Oh.'
Summer puts on the cloak, then straps the dagger to her back hip before carrying the bag and leaving the room. She walks down the steps and sits down on a chair.
Mollie-Hello what would you like?
Summer in a kind of deep voice, replies.
Summer-I would like what recommend for breakfast.
Mollie-Ok, that will be eggs, a waterdragon fruit, and blackdots meat with orange juices as a drink.
Summer-That sounds good.
Mollie-That will be at least 10 minutes.
Mollie walks away to put in the order.
Summer- 'I am happy you recommend for me to try to use mana on my voice box  to change my voice but did not know it was this easy.'
Tom- 'Well it was just an idea I had and it works which is great.
Tom- 'Also, why are the food naming weird.'
Summer- 'Well, the legend says that an injured water dragon was guarding a fruit and a human help him recover so, the water dragon gave that human the fruit and this is the evolution for that fruit.'
Summer- 'The blackdots meat, is from a cow that pitch black and when you see them far away they just look like black dots.'
Tom- 'Im betting that the human killed the water dragon for the fruit.'
Summer- 'Well it just a legend so it does not matter.'
Tom- 'True.'
After 5 minutes of them talking about their plans for the next few days, Mollie comes out with the food.
Mollie-Here you go.
She sets down a plate with a blue fruit that is shaped in a weird line and pitch-black meat beside it with orange juices and eggs.
Summer-Thank you.
Mollie-Welcome.
After she is done eating she head out, after getting directions to the library, she walks to it.
Summer-Here it is.
She walks in.
Summer-This place is smaller than I thought it would be.
Tom- 'It is a village libary.'
She can see there is only one floor with 30 shelves in a row.
After looking at the place she walks to the desk where you can see an old women with gray hair read a book.
Summer-Hellow there, I would like to know if this is a public library and when does it close.
Librarian-Yes it is, and it closes at midnight.
Summer-Where is the history books, hunters books, and magic books.
Librarian-The history are the 5 first shelves on the left, the hunter books are 3 next to it and the rest are a mix of them and other things.
Summer-Is there no magic books.
Librarian-*Sigh* Sadly the academia monopolizes the magic books.
Summer-Oh, ok, then thank you anyway.
Librarian-You are welcome.
Summer walks to the far left, passing by people who are reading books. Someone grabs her cloak, she looks back to see a fat man with brown hair and green eyes drinking bottles.
Summer-Let go.
?-Come one I just want to see who hiding under there.
Summer hits his hand away.
?-What the hell!
Summer-I said let go.
She walks away not pay attention to him.
Out of nowhere, he charges at her.
Tom-'Summer!'
She quickly sidesteps right tripping him then grabs him by the head slamming his face on the floor.
?-Aggh
Librarian-What happen here.
?-That person attack me for no reason.
Librarian-You think you can lie to me when I seen what happen, huh.
Librarian-Now, get lost paul, and don't come back, you are banned from the library.
After the incident, she walks and starts grabbing books about history and hunter guild.
Summer-Ok so it says that the continents 7 mi and name fireash and the other continents are about half that and the country is on the very edge of the continent which is called Xexa is about 1 mi. It says here there was a war that was started by the elves and demons for rights to live on the same continent but they were defeated by the humans and beastmen.
Summer-Let see if I can find some more information about this.
She looks around but only find things about other counts and there rulers or big thing that happen in history.
Summer-Strange, well let look at the hunter guild books.
She grabs books about Hunters guild and starts to read.
Summer-So it can be grade from lowest to highest which is 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 star, then there is 7 and 8 which is the highest.
Summer-They have to take an element test, then a combat test after they give a task you have to complete to get your 0-star badge which then you have to work your way up.
Summer-Ok since we have read what we came here to do, then I have some more time to read other books to gain knowledge. 
She walks around grabs the book she can carry then sits down at a desk and starts reading.

Tom wakes up in an unknown place, feeling like a piece of himself is missing but no matter how hard he tries but nothing fits in place. He looks around and is surprise what he finds out.

This is my first novel, so give all the things that can help me also I don't own the picture it goes to the owner I would want to get my own but I am bad at drawing but the title and writing itself I own.

Summer didn't. Instead, she slid the letter towards her best friend for her to read it for herself. Alyssa eyed the letter confused. "Is it-?"

"No." Summer cut her off abruptly. "Why would I let you read them?"

"Then?"

"Look for yourself."

Alyssa hesitated. She didn't want to read into Summer's personal letters but if she was willingly presenting it to her then it must not be that personal. Thinking this. She picked up the letter. And then she gasped as her eyes fell on the envelope.

"S-Sam? For real?" She stuttered.

Summer nodded eagerly, sipping her drink and grinning.

Alyssa took out the letter and began to read the contents. Nick was peeking from over her shoulder and his own eyes bulged out of sockets, such was the shock.

"You got in." Alyssa whispered when she had read the whole letter twice, her voice throaty and her eyes shining with tears, shock still evident on her face. "You got in." She said again, a little louder than before.

Nick, on other hand, was grinning maniacally. "Holy Shit Summer! You fucking got in St. Lewis'!" He announced loudly.

"Oh my God, Summer. You finally got in your dream college. Oh my God. Am I dreaming?" Alyssa was still grasping the facts that her best friend got in one of the most prestigious colleges. When she finally did, her face lightened up like a child on Christmas and her smile was wide enough to split her face in half.  "You fucking got it! With full scholarship!"

She rushed out of her seat and tackled Summer in a warm hug. Nick followed behind. "Guys, please get out of the seat and hug so I can join in too?"

Summer chuckled but Alyssa made no move to leave. "No can do, Nick."

"Oh come on!" He whined and finally, the girls broke the hug and stood up. Nick  tackled them both in a bear hug together. "Congratulations little sis!" He hollered.

Summer laughed. "Why thank you. Will I get treated for this accomplishment?" 

"Definitely." Alyssa and Nick said at the same time grinning like ideal best friends. "Ice Cream is on me." Nick announced.

"And a second round of burger and milkshakes' on me." Alyssa said and made her way towards the kitchen to get the treat ready.

Summer Kingston is finally nineteen and she couldn't be any happier to start college. Why? Because finally, she has a valid reason to leave behind her step mother's wrath and her step sister's mean and bitchy attitude towards her that her father straightforwardly ignores and refuses to see that his own blood, his own daughter being mistreated.

"I need to find out everything about summer, so that I'll be sure what Pat  said was true" I said to them. 

"I can take you to Blackmer's Library " Guy suggested. 

"And where is that" Tyler asked. 

"That is the library where you can find out about Summer's history and everything about her" Guy said. 
"Okay, then lead the way "Echo said to guy. 
Guy walked downstairs and went into a room beside Charlotte's. The room was chocolate brown made of fine wood, it had stairs leading to another shelf. The library was extremely big and wide. 
"Wow, I think Principal Sanders need to see this place and build up a library just like this" Echo laughed. 

"Shhhh,there's someone here, be quiet" Guy said holding up his index finger on his lips and moving forward.

A black elderly man of about 50 years of age stood in our front gaping at us with his specs looking like that of Artemis fowl. He looked confused and surprised. He was holding a bunch of  books in his hands. He made us stop in our tracks.  

"So is this the situation to run or not " Tyler whispered to us.
Guy tried to speak. "Guys no he isn't.....  
"Maybe we should... RUN" Echo screamed. 
"RUN" Tyler screamed. 
"No guys am thinking this is Mr.....,i. said before he cut me short. 
"Blackmer, Mr Blackmer is my name, full time librarian and father" he smiled and beckoned us in. 
"I guess you all came for the story of Summer" Mr Blackmer said. 

"How do you know that sir? "I asked, as I walked by his side. 
He laughed and showed us the passage leading to Summers history. 

"No noise, don't forget this is a library"he laughed and walked away. 

"Okay guys let's dig up something "I said as I ran over to some books on the shelves. I searched and searched, they books we're very dusty and then I came across a book "The evil pendant of Colombo". 

"The evil pendant of Colombo "I whispered. I took it to a close by table and sat down. Tyler and Echo came around. 
I flipped open the pages to the fifth one and I read it out:

    "she tried and tried until she
      was given the evil pendant ". 

"Is that referring to Summer? I asked. 
Tyler and echo glared back at me without saying a word, Guy was still searching through the shelves. I hesitated before looking back at the book. I skipped some pages and landed on page 15. I read it out:

  "Leave her alone! She's possessed
  by it. O. Spirit of Colombo set her
  free."

I glanced at them again but this time echo had a clue. "Does that mean Summer is possessed by the spirit of Colombo? ". 
"I think that's right " Tyler added.

"We need more clues, because first summer tried to get the evil pendant and then here she is possessed by it"I said flipping the pages forward. 

Another one read:
"Touch the red button on the pendant to weaken the wearer, the blue.... "

"Maybe you should calm down and start from page one" Tyler suggested. 

"Yeah maybe you can pair everything up and understand it more clearer" echo added. 
I sighed before turning to page one.

"The Evil Pendant Of Colombo. 

'' That night Nijelle was killed, Summer raced round the city of Colombo, she cried out everything in her body. She yanked anybody that came her way, she staggered everywhere looking for something to pacify her but found nothing. She finally settled for " Nanio". Nanio was the one holding the evil pendant. 

"Not another step, said Nanio. 

"Why? Summer asked whimpering.

" I warned you, summer". 

Summer clenched her fists and nodded in affirmative. 

"Are you ready to be possessed by the evil pendant of Colombo? "Nanio screamed. 

"No am not, I just want power to revenge for my daughter "summer said collapsing to the floor. 

Nanio nodded and laughed. The witch smiled creepy and took a seat on her throne.

  She soon realize she wasn't suppose to be there. She quietly stood up and made her way to the door.
"I shouldn't be here"summer said, wiping her tears. 

  ********** ******** *********
"So that means Summer didn't want the evil pendant? I asked. 

"Yeah, because she realized she would be possessed by it" Tyler said. 

"It all makes sense to me now. 

"So was she forced by someone to do so? Echo asked 
'One way to find out' I said as I continued reading the book out loud. 

**** **** ***** ******
The door shut close hard. 
"Nanio what's happening? Summer asked with shivers. 

"I warned you summer, you shouldn't have stormed in here with a revenging heart". 

"Nanio No".
The blue powdery substance like air settled around summer as she struggled to be free. Her left arm shone like the sun and her right arm was red with fire. 

"Please.... Nooooooo..... "
She tried and tried until she was given the evil pendant. 

Her eyes glowed and she laughed very hard. She stormed out of Nanio's place. 

"Oh my is she possessed? "People murmured. 
Summer stormed her way back home to her family. Her family tried to bring her back to her senses but to no avail. She soon was shown to a pastor for her to be delivered. 

"Leave her alone! She's possessed
  by it. O. Spirit of Colombo set her
  free."

Ah! 
"So this was not Summer's fault at all but Nanio?

"Yeah, I said.

"But how are we gonna confront summer about this? Tyler asked.

"Or.. We don't even know how to get rid of the evil pendant yet" Echo said. 

Wait!! 

"Where's Guy? ". 

Over here! 

He was standing with a big black book with probably about 500 pages. He stood with the awkward man we saw earlier "Mr Blackmer". 

"Guys Mr Blackmer knows everything! He will tell us everything we want to know. 

"You would have said that earlier than now, its getting late already " I said, I was already tired. I just wanted to get to the bottom of the whole  story. I haven't even told Guy about the dream I had. 

"I will need all of you to be here by 3pm sharp tomorrow"Mr Blackmer said, clenching his fists. 

"Okay? Tyler said. 

We all left the library and went into the parlor chattering about everything we just read and experienced back there. 

"Coo doo, coo doo". We heard someone rant. That was quite familiar to me.

I look at Austin as we both are just wrapped in towels; we are just staring at Doctor Wilson. We don't care much for wearing anything, but we only want to hear what those results say. So Austin pulls me close to him and wraps his arm around my shoulder. We watch as Doctor Wilson slowly opens the file that he has in his hand. Now we have no idea by just telling at the expression on his face if it is good or bad. But then, as he asks us to sit down, he gets a frown on his face. If he did not frustrate me before, then he is surely now doing it.
"Doctor Wilson, please just tell us what we already know."'
"Well, Austin, Summer, I found your other results, but when I looked at it, I knew I had to get the results of the ones we did today. So I went to wait for them myself."
"Thank you, doctor, but surely that was not necessary?"
"Well, you are right that it was not necessary for they both told me the same."
"So what do they say now?"
"Well they do say a lot different from what they said before."
Austin looks to me and then to Doctor Wilson again. He has not quite gotten over his anger, so this just sends him raging again. And of course, I know that nothing I say is going to stop him from being rude, so I let him just say what is on his mind.
"Doctor Wilson, I am sorry to be rude, but what the fuck of a statement is that? You told us that you have to operate, so why are we sitting here still and debating what a bunch of tests says when we know what they are?"
"Austin, well, if you are annoyed with me, then I don't know what you are going to be once I give you the actual results of the tests."
"Can you stop talking in riddles and just tell us what is going on."
Then Doctor Wilson hands us the file. Now I have no idea what I am even looking for. He points at me to read a white piece of paper, but I still do not know what I am supposed to be reading. Austin is getting somewhat frustrated, and I can see the increasing anger grow on his face as we are told to read a thing that we don't understand. Then out of nowhere, Austin throws the file back at Doctor Wilson.
"You are a really odd man. We have no idea what half of that means. So please, I beg, please tells us what is going on."
"Summer, you do not have a blood clot."
I stare at him in utter disbelief as those words escape from his lips. I think I must be in a bad dream. Yes, that is what it is. This must be a bad dream. Or, or it might be some horrible joke. Why would Doctor Wilson say such a mean thing? What is he saying?
"What? I do…What? I do not…What?"
"You do not have a blood clot."
Next, Austin jumps off from his chair and almost leaps his way over to where Doctor Wilson is sitting. For a second, I thought he would attack him, but he rips the file out of Doctor Wilson's hands again. The expression on his face is not quite clear yet. Is he angry? Is he shocked? Or is he confused? What the hell is going on here. It is chaos.
"Show me. Show me where it says that. I want to see it with my own eyes."
He reads for a few seconds and then turns to Doctor Wilson again.
"Show me the other test; I want to see what the other one says."
Doctor Wilson flips through the file and finds another piece of paper that looks very similar to the first one Austin read. Austin takes both of the papers and put them next to each other on the bed. He is clearly studying them, looking for anything that might look different. But after a while, he gives up. He awkwardly comes back and sits next to me again.
"Austin, what is wrong?"
…Austin POV…
I don't quite know what I just read. I need to absorb this; I need to think about this. I don't want to tell Summer, and then I am wrong. I don't want to crush her already breaking heart. I need to understand this. Now I have Doctor Wilson smiling and Summer looking oddly at me. This cant be true. This is not real. No, I am dreaming. I think they have mixed up the tests again. Doctor Wilson must go back. He must do this again.
"Take the tests again. I want you to take those tests again."
"Austin, they are going to tell you the same thing. I made them run the last sample twice. It still said the same thing. The test is right."
"No, they can't be; I know we are going to get excited, and then we are just going to get knocked down again. This keeps happening. We are given hope, and then our lives are ripped apart. You must run the tests again."
I can see that Doctor Wilson is losing his patience, but I don't frankly give a damn about his patience. This is Summer's life; this must be completely certain before we can believe it. I swear I will drive with him to the city. I must know that this is real.
But just as I am about to demand Doctor Wilson to take them again, I have Summer rest her hand softly on my arm.
"Austin, I don't want to do more tests. Please tell me what is going on?"
"Doctor Wilson, can you please leave us alone."
With that, he leaves, with only Summer and me, sitting with nothing but towels on. Well, there are two reasons; let us just get to the best part first.
"Summer, those silly pieces of papers say that you don't have a blood clot. Sweetie, you don't have a blood clot at all."
"I..I...I don't understand. What do you mean I don't have a blood clot at all?"
"You are not sick, well you are, something is wrong, but you don't have a blood clot at all."
"You mean, you mean that I am going to fine? I don't need to be here in this hospital?"
"Yes, you are going to be fine princess."
With that, the floodgates to so many pain finally burst open, but this time it runs completely dry, for the pain is now gone. We just cry and cry for a good five minutes, cry about all the pain that we had to go through until today. And then, of course, the reason I ask Doctor Wilson to leave is because as I pull Summer into my arms, her towel goes flying, and so does mine.
I twirl her around in circles as the beautiful laughter fills every corner of the room. There are tears and sobs, but they mean nothing but happiness now. This is the greatest gift that anyone could give her, not ever shall anything match what she is feeling now. I might not be the one that brought this joy to her life, but I can honestly say with everything in me that we have found a miracle, even if it was hiding between two sheets of paper. We have found that little silver lining that be we have been looking for. I guess it is true what they say that magic lives where you least expect the most.
And when the excitement slightly calms down, but only for but a fragment, I look at Summer. There is a sparkle I have not seen in her eyes for very, very long now. That smile that plays at the corner of those sweet cherry lips is real, her heart is spilling over in her face, and every corner of it is covered in happiness. She is happy; I am happy that I can see her like this. If I can say there was only one thing I wanted to accomplish in my life, then this would be it.
But all the pain and sickness she has been through, this must be something else then. So should we really get so excited now? I do not want this happiness to end, not now, not ever again. We might have won the battle, but I think there is just one more uphill that we should still climb. So after getting dressed, I head off to go find Doctor Wilson. I do not say anything but only ask him to come back to the room to explain to us what is going on now.
"Doctor if Summer does not have a blood clot, then what is wrong?"
"Summer, you are pregnant."
"She is what?"
And with that, my body crumbles onto the floor and it all becomes blurry and black.

I want to run. To anywhere but here. Anywhere but this small town. I live in Sunside Valley. A small town. And it's summer. My 5 best friends Tre, William, Sandra, Ryan, and Vanessa are out of town. The only bestie in town is Dylan. He works during the summer at our bookstore our parents own. Me and him also work during the school year but I get summer off. So I'm alone in this empty small town. Everyone's gone. I have this ache in my stomach from missing someone from so long ago as I ride my bike to the bookstore where I spend most of my summer with Dylan because no one else is here.

I arrive at the Bookworm bookstore. I smile because I already get the warm feeling of that small bookstore that's filled with million books. I lock up my bike and notice Dylan is reading through the window not even noticing I'm outside. I knock on the glossy glass window. He looks up from the book in shock and looks straight at me. I see his bright warm smile and I smile back.

I open the door and the coolness of the AC hits me finally somewhere cold other than home. It's burning outside kinda wish I brought Penny along. I see Luka Dyl's dog run to me and I smile. He bend down and he licks my face.

"Hey Luka. Who's a good boy? You are!" I pet behind his ear. He's a beautiful Golden retriever who I've known since he was a puppy.

"Morning L." He greets me and it's vacant in the store. I smile at him. 

"Morning Dyl whatcha reading?" I ask bouncing up and leaning against the counter.

"My favorite of course." He says.

"Why I should have known. You always read the time of day." I smile. "Got anything good for me today?"

"Yeah actually." He reaches under the counter where we puts all books we recommend to each other and slides it onto the counter. I pick it's up and read the title. 

"Dusk till Dawn." I say out loud. I turn it around to the back to read the summary.

"It's about a warlock named Quin and a werewolf named Kaylee. Best friends and they were ripped apart because they are different. But they are in love and the the werewolf is determined to find him." He explains. Then I feel this weird feeling….Dylan really….I know he doesn't know about the boy. But this book is my life with a bit of a twist that they can't be together and get pulled apart by their parents. But the fact I'm looking for someone. I'm the werewolf and he's the witch.

"Can't the boy just use a spell to find her?" I ask. Thinking about how that boy should be looking for me but I don't know that. 

"No, her parents put a cloaking spell on her." He says. Sometimes I wish I was in books because it would be easy to forget or come up with reasons he may not be looking.

"You sure it's good?" I look down at the book and notice how thick it is.

"Yes and I know you read books fast but this one is 2,000 pages and I know if you really wanted to you can finish that easily. But it's better if you don't trust me." He smiles at me. Dylan is always right about books but should I trust him? This could make me break down.

"Look L, I love the book and I think you will to you can keep reading The Fire while you're reading it but come on give it a chance." He tries to convince me. I take the book of the counter and it's a bit heavy. I put in my brown leather sachal and take out The Fire. 

"Read both at the same time?" I question kind of.

"Come on I know you read like 10 books at once." He says. And of course he's right. I can't help but giggle a bit.

"You know me too well." I playfully punch his arm.

"Yeah sure come on." He gets from behind the counter to the door and flips the sign to closed. 

"Come on I got a hour brunch break." He smiles.

"There is no such thing." I smile. 

"Come on my parents won't mind they have real work to deal with." He says. 

"Fine." I say. I never understood why his parents let Dylan and I get our dream and bought the shop when they work. His dad is a doctor and his mom is a graveyard nurse every other night. His mom is always home in the morning sleeping. And really just because this is Dylan's shop it's also mine in a way. Dylan is practically family. Our parents grew up together. And when we were 12 we had this dream to open a bookstore. Our parents split the cost put it under their names and bam. Our dream came true.

"Come on Luka!" Dylan calls and hooks him onto a leash. His tail wags and I pet the top of his head. He opens the door and he locks it behind us. It's a sunny day and I see the rays glowing through the trees. Very little cars pass and I wish everyone didn't leave for the summer. 

"Wait L, you biked huh?" He asks. 

"Yeah but come on we can walk." I smile. 

"Hmm ok right across the park and get some crepes and have picnic?" He asks. 

"Of course. The Breakfast picnic everyday." I smile.

Looking at the description for the puzzle, it seems like they had to read out runes while a designated person would enter in the password.
The way this works is that there is a central platform and four rooms. Each of the rooms will have a small wave of monsters and one of the adventurers would need to protect someone while they read out the rune and its position in the password.
Once all four runes are collected in the right order, they'll be allowed into the next level of this stage.
The slayer would need to either A, delay the situation and let the monsters eliminate the people or B, they do it themselves.
Since they're moving in pairs, the slayer would be revealed should they sabotage too obviously. This also forces them to be the ones that have to think about what they're doing in order to pass successfully. Then again, the reward for succeeding is a free pass to the next round so the task must be hard.
However, for Shiro, this was easy to bypass.
"Right then, who's going to be in the centre platform?" Shiro said with a smile.
Instantly, the people on the team became wary since they can't have the slayer be in the centre platform or else they can lie about the order of the sequence and use the time to eliminate one of the people without anyone else realising.
"Since we don't know who the slayer is, why don't we take a gamble and assign someone random. I'm going to spin my sword and whoever it points towards will be in the centre platform. Of course, you guys can keep a watch on me so that you know I haven't tampered with the spin with my mana." One of the warriors suggested.
"Sure, I'm fine with that." Shiro nodded since this didn't really affect her. Regardless of who was chosen to be in the centre, Shiro can take three people with ease.
Spinning the sword, the warrior stepped back and waited for it to finish.
Eventually, it landed on Shiro's group which caused Shiro to raise her eyebrows.
"Welp it seems like it's us then." Shiro smiled while looking at Summer.
"Mn." Summer nodded but said nothing else.
'Heh~…. This girl is a quiet one.' Shiro thought to herself.
"Alright, now that the teams are sorted, let's go."
Walking over to the teleport circle that seemed to have appeared behind them, Shiro watched as her other party members were also teleported in their respective teams.
'Good luck.' Shiro muttered in her mind as they flickered from their spot. When her vision cleared, they were on a stone platform that seemed to be surrounded by the empty void.
Nodding to each other, they jogged towards their spots as Shiro and Summer readied their bow in case the 'slayer' were to make a move now and eliminate three people quickly.
Arriving at the main console, Shiro saw that it was a holographic rune board that housed all the runes with four empty slots in the centre.
"Do you want to be the one using this or shall I?" Shiro asked.
"You can." Summer replied since the one using the keyboard would be in more danger. They wouldn't be able to react as easily to a sneak attack and Summer knew that she couldn't trust anyone but herself during this test.
"Sure, I don't mind." Shiro nodded.
"Centre platform ready!" She called out.
"Team 1 ready!." Lorenzo shouted out since he was the 'guardian' of team one and he would need to clear the wave of monsters.
This was perfect for Shiro since she could get a clear view of his position. Though it wasn't as if it was too important since her nanobot could give her his position to begin with.
Receiving positive responses from the other teams, they started to test.
Looking over at team 4, where Silvia was, Shiro realised that she must have been the one to read out the runes.
'Well that makes things a bit easier I suppose.'
As the monsters started to spawn, Shiro narrowed her eyes slowly as her lips curved into a smile.
Just before the first rune was shouted out, she flexed her finger a little and detonated the nanobot hidden on Lorenzo's body.
*BANG!
All of a sudden, his body was flung up into the air and all the other guardian's snapped their attention towards team one.
"Found the slayer!" Shiro shouted out before nodding towards Summer.
Dashing towards team 1 with her bow drawn, the two archers had the same intention of eliminating the slayer quickly.
Little did Summer know, Shiro was in fact the slayer.
Seeing the two centre archers dash towards team one, the rest of the guardians called out to their partners and had them come out since they were going to regroup.
Vaulting over the monsters with ease, she twisted her body and pulled back on her bowstrings.
Looking at the frightful face of the one who was supposed to shout out the rune, Shiro couldn't help but look at him with pity.
'Sorry, it's nothing personal.' Shiro thought to herself before firing her arrow.
*BANG!
Exploding into a burst of flames, the adventurer was eliminated before he could even shout out that he was innocent.
"Seems like we're done." Shiro called out to summer with a smile.
Furrowing her brows, Summer nodded and started to make her way back to the centre.
However, just as she turned her back, she felt a burst of mana slam into her back as she was sent flying forward from the impact.
Turning around to look back at Shiro, she saw that Shiro had an apologetic smile on her face.
"Crap…" Was all Summer could mutter before she was eliminated.
Walking out of where team one was supposed to be, Shiro looked at the other teammates that were instantly on guard since they realised that they've been played.
"Aiya~ don't be so on guard. I've already got three of them so I'm done with this round." Shiro waved her hand nonchalantly before narrowing her eyes.
"Unless you want to fight some more? Regardless, I've already passed so anything after this is just for fun." She grinned.
One of the assassins seemed to be annoyed as his body disappeared and reappeared beside her.
However, before he could even attack, Shiro had already spun around and slammed her foot against the back of his head.
Cracking his body against the ground, Shiro pulled back on her bow and eliminated him.
"Anyone else like this f*ck wit over here?" She smiled.
Flinching a little, the rest of the teammates stepped back a little while Silvia had a frown on her face.
Despite the intimidation she felt from this Kasumi, she wanted to stand her ground.
Raising an eyebrow, Shiro kept her eye on Silvia.
"Some backbone huh?" She smiled.
"Maybe. But since you've already eliminated three, I doubt there was a need to provoke the rest of us no?" Silvia smiled while preparing some of her spells discreetly.
"Hm, I suppose so. However, we still need to complete this round so if you want, I can just watch as you do it or I can help." Shiro chuckled.
Seeing as though there were only five of them left, it meant that there were on guardians to help them should they choose to not receive her assistance. 
"It's fine, miss Kasumi can just sit by the side. Everyone, I'll be on the centre console and set a barrier on everyone so that you can read out the runes." Silvia proposed as they nodded.
"But what about this girl here, are you sure she won't attack you since she basically has a free pass." One of the teammates gestured towards Shiro.
"Don't worry, I promise I won't interfere anymore. Like I said, if you want, I can even help out." Shiro chuckled.
"No need." Silvia shook her head.
Giving out roles once more, Silvia stood at the console while Shiro watched from the distance with interest. She wanted to see how Silvia was going to help everyone else out.
Slamming her staff against the ground, a wave of mana pulsed outwards as a quadruple layered barrier wrapped around everyone else apart from Shiro.
Activating her analysis skill, Shiro saw that the barrier gave them a health boost, attack boost, speed boost and a barrier that was equal to around 60% of their health from what she could tell.
'Well damn, she's gotten quite a powerful spell in the time I was gone huh?' Shiro mused to herself.
{Well it has been two months. A lot of things can change.} Nimue chipped in.
'Very true.'
With Silvia's distant support, the team was able to reach the runes without much trouble and complete the task with relative ease.


I'm captured? Fine, I can't help it since I can't move.

Experimented on? At least give me some anaesthetic.

I'm freed? Let me get some revenge.

Want to plead for your life? Sorry, this miss here holds a grudge.

I destroyed the lab so now let me explore this world freely.

I somehow joined Mr Hero's party. Fine, he seems fun.

"Depending on the request I will see what I can do. As the head I should be able to help you with what you need me to. So what is the request?" Leo had started eating but stopped and looked at Kitty. 
Kitty had stopped eating and started to open the letter, "I would like to request the release of Alario." She finally got the envelope open she pulled out the letter and started to read it. 
Salutations Advocate, 
I am quite aware of what you are trying to achieve but I wonder will it really be done? If it does happen to happen I would love to join your cause. I am from a mermaid clan in the far west. It is not normal for us to interfere with the land walkers' disputes but the hunters to try to hunt us down and to get away for that would be very pleasant. I am the queen of my people. We are the ones the circulate the ocean and help all the sea creatures thrive. I personally make sure that their numbers do not deplete. Each species of the sea is important in the way of life. 
You must be wondering how I managed to get this letter to the one you got it from. With being the Queen I can transform under the right circumstances to come to the land in order to chat with the species and find out with is popular for them to get on the solid land. That way I can make sure that a type of fish does not overpopulate or underpopulate but this time I traveled to find the werewolves that are connected to you to pass along my letter to you. I would like to continue to do my job but a few of my workers have been killed by the hunters while they were checking the lands at my request. 
Contraritary to what they may believe we are not sirens that will lead them to their deaths in the water. If this is something that is possible I will be at the west coast ocean when you are free to come chat.

Kitty smiled and placed the letter down. She pulled out the envelope from Sylvie and slowly tore it open.  She started to read its contents.
For the one whom may bring us the peace we need,
Sorry for dropping this on you. I know that the vampires told me that you were not there but it was imperative that I got this letter to you as soon as I could. First I must say that I am deeply sorry for what happened to your clan. Second, I want to ask is it possible for my clan to join your cause. We are not large in numbers but without us around the humans would die. 
I guess I should start by saying that we are faires. We are in charge of the seasons. Without us to be there to change the seasons some areas would never see the summer and some would have a never-ending winter. We have a lot of control over that happening. I do not know if the hunters have any information on us but it is better to be safe than sorry. I want to be able to live a long life and continue to change things around. It is summer right now. I am where summer is. I will write down what you can say so that I may appear. I am hoping that we could sit down and have a discussion about what I would like to request. It is not a hard request but I worry that the hunter association may figure out our existence.
To talk in person all I need for you to say out loud is 'I am spring, I am summer, I am fall, I am winter. The seasons are commanded by us fairies I call upon the being of summer, Aurora.'

Kitty smiled after reading both the letters. "It looks like I am in high demand. Two different clans have reached out to me I thought maybe it would be the same clan but it turns out that it is two polar opposite clans. After I finish lunch I will chat with the first clan with Leo as it will not be hard to get into contact. I still have not forgotten that I said I will explain things to you but this is equally important. Having more supernaturals on our side the less bloodshed that will happen. Let me chat with this one and I will explain everything after that."
"I think that is reasonable. Eat your lunch first love and I will be there to chat with whomever you need to." after seeing Kitty read the letters he started to eat again. 
"More supernaturals? What are they this time? I am curious about what beings could be reaching out this time. The last time you had a clan reach out to you it was the witches." Cindy had finished eating the food on her plate as she watched Kitty read the letters. 
"I am quite curious as well. Who had the balls to contact my father? It is rough to deal with a werewolf. The person that dropped the letter off was not normal, all that my father could smell from her was sunlight which is not something that you would normally smell off someone." Carlos who was eating still leaned over the table. 
"Smelling sunlight? Is that even possible? That seems a bit strange to me but what am I to know I am a vampire who is supposed to be in the darkness." Ketan just sits at the table enjoying the chatter.
"The one the contacted the werewolves was a fairy. So smelling sunlight would make sense and the one who contacted the vampires was a mermaid. Thankfully they both just want peace. Darling, I am done eating so let's get the contact with the fairy over with first." Kitty had finished what was on her plate and picked up her juice to drink. 
"If you are ready then I will come with you. Let's go to the greenhouse it has some amazing plants in there and it will be harder to get spotted by someone." Leo got up.
