"Yes!" Keiji replied while staring at the guard. With Keiji's past experiences, he knew that if a fight occurred between him and this guard while using their current strength, he wouldn't even last a second while fighting him.

Keiji thought that this game was really interesting even though his strength was weakened, he can still determine wether his enemy were stonger or weaker than him just with his instincts alone. But what I am fascinated the most is why do I feel it even though it was just a game.

"Do you have any particular places you want to go great adventurer ?" The guards asked while smiling in a weird way which looked like he has no emotions but also has, and he looked like smiling but also mad if a normal person saw this they would freak out.


'His face is pretty scary, I am now curious if this guard always give that smile to those who use your teleportation array' Keiji thought as he smiled back to the guard and said " I don't have any but you can transport me to a human empire "


" I am sorry to disappoint you great adventurer but I cannot decide on where you are going. You can go there to read the list of places where you can choose " The guard said and point towards the wall where there are many posters that are attached .



Keiji walked towards the wall and saw that there was so much information that was posted on the walls.


The information attached to the wall was about this world, but this poster looks old and tattered but it was still readable.


When he got near the posters a blue transparent screen appeared with words attached on it.

He chose a random place and the blue transparent screen dissipated after it dissipated Reign glance at the papers that are posted in the walls and saw that it was written in a strange letters which was very familiar with Reign because the words that are written was written in a vampiric language


'This game is really interesting to think that it can know my real identity' Reign thought that the words there was written in a vampiric language is because his the one who read it or simply he thought that if you are korean and you read it the letter will change to korean and if an american read it the words will also be english.


Keiji turned around and walked back to the teleportation array that he said the place where he was going to and enter the portal.

Malfina is a girl working for the Union. This is the biggest organisation and this is supported by all the government leaders and all the strongest ability users in the real world.


Her job was to list down all players who exit a certain portal and their information, especially their innate abilities and looks.


Every portal that are connected to the beginners village was monitored by the Union and this union recruits all people who have innate abilities and if you have innate abilities  you will be called ability user in real life and it has many benefits like treating you with respect.


Based on public views the Union was only monitoring the portal to recruit them and the Union said that they can choose whether to hide or conceal their Identity and stats but what they didnt know is that every worker who are monitoring the union have an appraisal skill which mean even if you don't reveal it they will still know it.


Malfina also has an appraisal skill. She acquired this skill by the help of the Union but she signed a contract with the Union in real life but this is not a simple contract this is a contract used by an ability user which you need to follow by any means or there are consequences.


Malfina was so bored because beginners rarely arrive and almost all beginners are 12 years old or so.

After some time she saw a person emerge from the portal, this man wears a full black colored outfit with a height of around 5'8 and a long black hair, he also wears a white mask that covered his entire face and only his yellow eyes can be seen, she was shocked when the man got out fully because she never thought that a grown man will emerge she could only expect a 10 year old man or so although there are some player who was also at the same age like this man it was rarely seen and those peoples come from slums, but this person in front of him wear a fancy clothing and he did not use his money to buy something in the beginner because in the beginner there are items that only in the beginner area can be bought so it will fetch a high price so this man did not come from slum for sure but if this man also come from a rich family why would he enter the virtual world in that age, but she shook his thoughts and got up.

"What the fuck kind of an ability is this? Half the things are displayed as'???' in the ability window. What is this usable skill thing?" Edward cursed to himself in frustration.
The worst thing for him right now, after getting all hyped up about becoming a Player would be his Ability being garbage or unusable. After looking at what happened with his ability, this unfortunate situation was the first possibility to come to his mind. 
He didn't understand what was going on. Abilities were supposed to be the most basic feature and identifying factor of a Player. Why did he not even know his ability's name, even less what it does? Edward was perplexed about this situation, but he wasn't completely deprived of information. 
He knew that a skill of his ability was called 'Bless (Apprentice)'. Assuming that Apprentice was the level or mastery that he currently had of the aforementioned skill, he decided to find out what exactly bless was.
Edward read further in the Ability window and found out more information about the skill, 'Bless'.

This skill gives the user the ability to bless regular objects, resultantly imbuing them with the power of an artifact.]
For a couple seconds, Edward was frozen. His eyes were sure of what they read, but his mind didn't seem to believe it.
'Holy shit!!! This turns normal objects into artifacts? This weird ability actually has such broken skills…' Edward was shocked and still didn't believe what he had read.
Artifacts were the most important physical, material things for Players. Just like how their Ability was their most important corporeal aspect, Artifacts were the very valuable physical goods for the Players. 
Artifacts were objects imbued with special powers that worked inside of the Labyrinth. Since no normal weapons seemed to function inside the Labyrinth, these Artifacts were the only external help that Players could receive except from their own Ability.
Along with being very useful, some Artifacts could also be basically cheat codes with what kind of powers or buffs they had. Artifacts were basically treasure for Players; and just like any other type of treasure, Artifacts were very hard to acquire. 
Having one could easily turn the tides of a battle, so it wouldn't make sense for them to be common in the first place. Edward had just found out that he could basically create artifacts; such information could easily be breaking news for Players everywhere.
While trying to digest this new found skill of his, Edward realized something. This supposedly ground-breaking power of creating artifacts wasn't even his Ability; it was only a subsidiary skill of his ability, which was not even fully mastered. How strong would his full ability even be?! A drop of sweat traveled down his face as he thought about this.
After overcoming the initial shock, Edward read more about his Bless skill.

Edward smiled after reading this, realizing that he could basically create an Uncommon grade Artifact per hour infinitely with this skill. Artifacts had multiple grades based on their quality. 
As of right now, Edward didn't exactly know what the grades of Artifacts were because he had only recently become a Player. He figured that the Player Interface would have some kind of a guide for beginner Players and he decided to check if something like that really existed.
Since the Player Interface was thought based, it loaded up a window right as Edward thought about this.

"Ugh…" Edward groaned as he felt a sharp, piercing pain in his head and stumbled onto the couch.
At this moment, his mind started to get crowded with all sorts of information about Players, the Labyrinth, the Interface and other related stuff.

After a minute or so, this rapid flow of information ceased and Edward was back to normal. The Player Interface had directly transferred the information from the beginners' guide into Edward's brain.
Now Edward knew a lot more about being a Player, along with the grades of Artifacts.
According to what the Interface told him, Edward knew that Artifacts were graded from lowest to highest grade as: Normal, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Relic. He also knew that there were Artifacts above these grades as the Interface only gave him a Beginner's guide which didn't have complete information and as a beginner he would never encounter any Artifacts above these grades.
Since he now had some basic information from the beginners' guide, Edward decided to try out using his ability. Even if at the moment he only had one skill at his disposal, it was more than enough for a beginner. He also wasn't held back by a lack of knowledge on how to use skills and abilities as the beginners' guide had already solved that problem for him.
Edward now only had one more thing to do before he could try out his 'Bless' skill; and that was to find an object to use as the base. His skill would amplify a normal object up to the ranks of an artifact, so finding an object to be amplified was essential.
'Hmm, what should I choose to 'Bless'? Since I just became a Player, I don't think armor or any other gear would be necessary. Should I just go with a weapon? But do I even have a weapon here in my house?' Edward thought, trying to decide what object to choose, 'Wouldn't a kitchen knife be enough for now, since it can be wielded as a dagger? I guess I will go with that since I don't really have many other options right now.'
He walked over to the kitchen and chose the best quality knife he had. It was pretty much brand new and had no dents on its blade. 
The knife had a length of 9 inches, the blade being 6 inches long and the hilt being 3 inches. The knife was easy to handle, wasn't much weighty, had a good length and width and was in mint condition.
'Perfect!' Edward smiled, looking at the knife he was holding, 'Now, it's time for using 'Bless' on it.'
Edward held the knife in his hand, concentrated and said the word in his head, 'Bless!'
In an instant, the knife lit up and started glowing, a blinding white light emitting from it. Edward blocked the light from the knife with his other hand and moved his hand holding the knife further from his face. 
After a couple seconds, the knife reverted back to its normal appearance and suddenly, a Player Interface window appeared right in front of it.

The Past Joshua investigated and found out that this was a plan of the greedy merchants to seize their land and that they funded the bandits as they were their private army as Joshua was about to tell his mother he found her killed by 2 strange man as he was filled with rage he rushes towards them but gets knocked out cold and got put into the small house where was killed by the kicks of the thug our Joshua killed when he reincarnated into the past Joshua's body.

So from what I remember my faster told me last night that I'm going to deliver a letter to Fairy Tail and i need to pack my bag for a long stay there, well let's get going.

Get ready Fairy Tail here comes the Silver Wolf!

While walking home from the store Niji Yuki saw a little girl playing in the park but then the ball she had rolled into the street so she chased it but a truck was coming and so before Niji had time to think she had run over and pushed the little girl behind her but she wound up getting hit instead.

The tunnel the entrance opened up to was narrow. The dagger user had already gone deep into the winding paths. Where I didn't know. I made sure I kept track of the turns I made in the dull red glow. If food was scarce, I needed to be able to get back to the entrance. I hated the idea of having to lure silent maw into enclosed space. Vicious even if they were delicious compared to cliff huggers. Starvation, I remembered, was a killer.
The big guy had taken a different branch as the tunnels wrapped their way deeper into the cliff. It seemed while I truce lasted, we both knew it would be hard enough feeding ourselves. I could hear him push aside debris still, the sound getting fainter as our paths diverged.
As I got further from the opening, the air got stale and heavy. The moisture was uncomfortable after the dry sulfur of the open ledge. In some places the tunnel narrowed to slits only a few inches wide. I pressed on, my demon body suited to such narrow passages. Even so, the scraping of stone against my back and the thought of getting stuck and dying a slow death terrified me. Better to die torn apart.
I'd long stopped hearing the other cliff huggers when I came across the first opening. Not big enough to fit through, I could see the small tunnel give way to a large cavern full of thick mushrooms and fauna. The fruiting bodies of the mushrooms pulsed with unnatural heartbeats. Corded veins of fungus wove a dense net between them. The air from the vent smelled bad, the slits of my face instinctively closing. Poison? I couldn't tell.
I was sure that chambers like these would be where the hunting would begin. One of these would make a good place to try and defend. I hadn't felt the need to sleep yet, but as sure as I needed to eat I'd also need to rest.
Up ahead, I heard lumbering, low and heavy. Had the big guy looped all the way to the same tunnel?
Talking a page from the dagger users book, I moved to the ceiling. Trying hard to lay flat and avoid attention I was careful to disturb as little as possible. As I moved forward, the footstep faded, as did my own. The familiar silence of the maw enveloped me.

So I did lose my own sense of hearing. Inconvenient. In a way, the silence would give me away too. My prey might notice the aura before I had the chance to strike. It would be difficult for me to understand my range.
Creeping forward, a new demon, form low and long crawled across the tunnel floor like a fat lizard. Two fat pustules throbbed over its shoulders. Bright yellow in contrast to its near black green skin. Poisonous for sure.

I mentally hissed at myself. I could get the drop on it, but how could I protect myself. I thought back to the mushrooms. Eating one could grant me some sort of resistance. It was much more likely to kill me for no benefit. At least with this lizard, I had the chance to survive through a level up.

Well that could be useful. Observation had saved my life countless times already, foresight must help me plan. I mentally waived off the unease of the System altering my mind. Being human seemed so temporary and long ago. Why could I remember dying but not my name?
Now wasn't the time.
I felt the hunger of greed. I wondered if that feeling was letting me know if new skills were available. It came up when I was considering the options and always pushed me to the more dangerous one. What secrets would this fat lizard hold.
How would it taste?
The lizard didn't seem to notice the muting of its own footsteps. I had no evidence it could even hear. The bright yellow and black contrasted with the red stone and light, an easy target. Like a trapeze artist in a silent performance, I twisted myself against the ceiling. Aiming, I arched my body so my maw was facing the demon. Waiting for it to pass the intersection, I leapt.
I did not expect for it to roll. As I landed and dug my teeth deep into it the lizard demon barrelled around and around. It was popping its own pustules and smearing them across the tunnel floor. My own flesh scoured against the ground. I tried to shriek as I felt the poison force its way into the wounds with every roll. My own aura kept me from drawing attention from other demons in the dungeon.

His skin was so tough. My arms were being battered as he rolled over and over again. Clenching my maw as hard as I could, I tucked my claws into the only place they could go. Right into the gaping holes left by the pustules. I gouged deep, using the leverage to pull my maw even tighter. My back was screaming even though the pain resistance. Just a little more...
The lizards back collapsed as tough scales and ribs gave way to soft organs.

With great effort, I forced the heavy creature off me and aid there. I had underestimated my opponent. The fight had been short but devastating. Without having leveled up, I was sure the poison would have finished me. Rolling off my back with some difficulty, I examined what I could of the damage.
The single heavy scar on my thigh was now married to a vast mesh of silver flesh. New tirrue from where leveling had knit it back together. Moving felt stiff. Was that permanent or a side effect of my exhaustion? I was too tired to tell.
If there were two of these, I wouldn't have survived. I expected the poison, but turning the very tunnel into a weapon was something I didn't expect. Foresight wasn't anything like I'd hope. A misleading check on my guesswork that told half truths at best. Even without the poison, I would have been in danger. In fact, the vulnerability of the sacks might have been the only leverage I had in the fight.
My claws had worn into sharper points. The skill changing the body or the body changing the skill? The scars on my back suggested neither were all inclusive. Lowering myself onto the body, I crunched into its flesh, consuming it. It did nothing to relieve my exhaustion, but I felt a little restored.

I looked at the two unknown forks in the tunnel. Either I go to where the lizard was, or go where he was going. Thinking about it was causing my mind to ache. The demon had survived where he had been, so that was a big plus in that direction. But there could be more of his kind. I thought back to the Cliff Huggers. We had been more dangerous to each other than anything but the Silent Maw.
Dragging myself up, I pulled myself towards where the lizard had come from. Death was becoming preferable to thinking. The fork didn't go very far, two more bends, narrowing lower and lower each time. When I got to the end I had to lay flat to push through into a small open area. Something soft piled in the corner, and small bits of bone and horn littered the floor.

Emiru couldn't believe himself that he lost to a boar. Well, that's to be expected. Since he's a novice, he just went into a battle ground without knowing the level gap of his enemy. Emiru was level 1 with an equipment of a beginner and a great sword, so it isn't weird for him to lose to a level 8 wild boar.

Since logging in, inside the game. He hasn't even taken a peek to his status information. All he knows is that one can become anything they wanted inside the game. Not that he had no knowledge when it comes to status information, it just, he thought it's a bother to even read it out of laziness.

Emiru let out a long sighed and took a peek at his inventory by calling it out.

In the loneliness of the night, only one light could vaguely be seen throughout the street. Inside the plain room with the light, sat a boy the age of sixteen at his desk.
His hair was greasy, with dark circles under his eyes. His eyes were staring into the depths of his computer, almost like being sucked into the screen.
His name was Midas, and just Midas alone, no last or middle name. He was an orphan, never being in a family his whole life. He had no friends, and all he did was read all day.
Although, this may sound pitiful and sad to you, this was how Midas wanted it. He loved immersing himself in these amazing fantastical stories of novels, manga, and so on.
He had a terrible sleeping schedule, where he would wake up at 12:00 A.M and sleep at 12:00 P.M. He never went to school, and eventually the school and his orphanage stopped coming to get him.
Every night, he would read. Whenever he finished a new story, he would quickly find another one. He's done this since he was just a child, and has read countless stories.
One night, in the lonesome eve, Midas finished yet another story.
This fateful night, was different from the rest. For what happened shocked Midas. It was something he had read countless times, and fantasized happening to him for years.

[Compatible Host has been found, beginning transmission in one minute, please prepare]
"Huh, who's messing with me?" Cried Midas in the night.
No one answered, and as the clock ticked, you could see Midas sweating.
Although he believed someone to be fooling him, he had a sliver of hope seeing the time dwindle.
He readied himself, sweat dripping from his greasy face, with a hint of anxiousness.
Although, he was anxious, in no way was he nervous or scared. In fact, he was incredibly excited.

As the clock hit the last second, a bright, strange white light enveloped Midas, creating an ecstatic sensation throughout his body.

As the notification rang, Midas found himself in a strange place. It was a small room made of wood, with only a bed lying in the corner, nothing else. 
"What? It really happened? I'm not dreaming?" Said Midas with excitement.
Midas pinched himself, feeling pain, he was overjoyed. He instantly looked around in detail, seeing how real everything was.
"It really happened! I have been sent to a fantasy world with a system in tow! My dream has finally come true!" Said Midas as he belted his excitement with a scream.
"Since I have been given this chance, I will grasp it fully, and become the ruler of my own destiny!" Midas vowed to himself.
Looking down at himself, he realized he was in strange clothing, resembling that of the ancient Chinese style.  Also, his body seemed to be cleansed, and was silky smooth. 
He then looked around the wooden room, looking at how plain and rustic everything was. 
While surveying the room, he remembered the message that appeared before. If this was anything like the novels he read, he knew exactly what he had to do.
"Hello? System? Where am I?" Midas said, hoping for an answer.
*Pop*
[You have been transmissioned to a world known as the 'Anchored World']
Seeing the message in front of him, he was on cloud nine. 
He had finally got away from that boring mundane world, where people work like rats just to have the same conclusion in the end; death.
Thinking that, he asked the system for more information. 
"System, what are you, and why have you chosen me. What is my purpose?" Midas said in the shabby hut.

I am the only decider of my fate, and don't have to be controlled by some mediocre system. This system is incredible!" Midas thought to himself as he was astonished by the system.
After finishing his thoughts, Midas realized he needed more information about where he was, and about this world. 
"System, may I have information about this world? Is this a cultivation world, and may I have information on where I currently am?" Midas asked humbly to the system.

Midas once again surveyed the tiny wooden room he was currently in, smaller than the average apartment. Extremely plain, with only a rustic bed lying in the corner. 
He then headed towards the door.
As he opened the door, his eyes flashed with white, they adjusted and he found himself atop a hill. 
The air was so pure and refreshing, it was like a high. 
Midas then surveyed his surroundings, and found that at the foot of the hill lay a small village, with buildings of all different sizes.
He looked further into the distance, finding them to be located at the entrance of a huge forest, one that spanned as far the eye could see.
But, this was not your ordinary forest.
It's beauty was unparalleled.
The trees had a thick and curvy wood, with cracks seeping all over them. The long grass like leaves were swaying in the wind. 
The leaves ranged from light blue, light red, purple, and a multitude of different colors.
The trees had shining blue or red dots all over their trunks.
The grass had the most beautiful shade of colors he had ever seen; bright green, light blue, and pink. They were bright, and shined in the light of the sun.
Everything to the mountains, trees, grass, insects was extremely gorgeous. Anyone from Earth would have instantly cried finding themselves here.
But, Midas didn't cry, instead he just stared at the vast beauty of this forest for an hour. 
When he was done, he made his way towards the village. 
The route to the village was short, only having to go down the short hill he was on.
When he entered a strip of the village, he saw many people, conversing, buying things from the stalls laid out all over the place. 
He wondered how a small little village could be so bustling.
Wondering that, he went to the nearest stall to him.
He asked an older man manning the stall why it was so busy.
The older man in his 40's looked at the young fellow who was roughly 16 years of age and wondered why he would ask such a silly question, but he answered anyway.
"Boy, we are in the Willow Village. The reason it's so busy for a mere village like this is because it's right off the main road of one of the three big cities in the West Province of the Alluring Empire, known as the Sun City."
"Oh, so that's how it is. Thanks, old man, I appreciate the information." He said as he continued down the bustling little village. 
As he surveyed the village, he found it quite nice. Although the little huts weren't anything lavish, they were very well made, and appealing to the eye.
The village was very small, with stalls laid out everywhere. There were no stores, and all the white wooden buildings seemed to be houses.
After wandering around the village for a while and obtaining more information on this world, he returned to the hill top where the little hut lay.
 He didn't go into the hut, instead he sat on the edge of the short cliff, with his feet hanging off, pondering what he should do in this world. 
With that thought he asked the system a series of questions.
 "System, how can I become stronger? What are your functions?"
*Pop*
[To become stronger you can do a multitude of different things- to name a few; cultivating, slaying living beings, consuming pills, and so on. I have many different functions, including the store, roulette, inventory and so on
"Hmm, okay. How does slaying living beings work? Also, how do the functions you mentioned work?" Midas asked the system.

[Once you have slain said living beings, you absorb their energy, which the system then converts into points for you. These points are the main function of the system, through them you can trade for martial arts, cultivation methods, armor, buy a spin in the roulette and so on]
"I see so that's how it works. It's very easy to understand with my vast knowledge on novels," Midas said to himself.
Knowing how these novels operate, I can guess a multitude of different things. 

"System, do I start with a beginners reward of some sort?" Said Midas with hope to the system.

The grading for techniques, martial arts, pills and so on are the same; Profound, Mortal, Earth, and Heaven. Further ranked into four different grades; Pre, Low, High, and Peak.
"Since the Transcendence Cultivation Technique is of Transcending Grade, it must be something amazing, this world doesn't even have knowledge of it," Midas thought to himself
After staring at the beautiful forest for some time, he then went back into the little hut. When inside, he went onto his bed, but did not instantly go to sleep. Instead, he sat cross legged, and started cultivating the Transcendence Cultivation Technique.
Once he started this technique, he felt a tremendous amount of energy flow into him. A huge amount of energy was being absorbed into him from as far as the depths of the forest a hundred miles away.
Ten minutes of cultivating, he had already reach the second layer of Body Tempering. 
Midas was thrilled, but he didn't stop cultivating there.
Two hours later he advanced two more layers, now being in the Body Tempering Realm fourth layer.

As the sunrise dawned upon the world, Midas opened his eyes. Instantly, a wave of energy was exuded from him, making the grass and trees tremble close by. 
He had advanced to the sixth layer of Body Tempering Realm in just one night. 
Midas was thrilled, in just one night he had achieved the sixth layer of Body Tempering Realm. 
"This technique is off the charts! No wonder this world has no knowledge of it, it is indeed supreme!" Midas said to himself.
As the sun rose in the sky, Midas' first day in this world ended. The second day approached, and he was ready to start his life in this new world!
"Just you wait, in no time I will be unparalleled," said Midas as he rose his fast to the sun.
