When he arrives at the 4th floor of the school, where the classrooms for the 3rd year are located, he stops in front of a panel that shows the student's names and which rooms they are going to stay at. However, those that seem to to irk me the most are stories like Tales of Demons and Gods where The Returner blatantly speaks of how everyone isn't as impressive as he is despite how he's thousands of years old (on the inside) and has a head start against literally everyone his own age group.

To me, the best point of a 'Returner' isn't the main character himself nor is it how the world changes and starts to revolve around the MC. Instead I think this trope's best point is seeing how his relationships change due to him not being the same person he was in the past. 

Stories where 'The Returner' ends up doing everything to benefit only those he likes and so on have been done to death already but I haven't really seen anyone touch on the topics if 'destiny' really is as stable as we think is it.

Let's take, for example, the difference between the MC's past self and future self. If his past self made a lot of friends because he was easygoing and hyperactive, will his sudden change into a mature veteran of many battles not cause those who liked in the past to instead keep their distance?

The Returner ends up even more liked by those around him despite his cold and sometimes even unstable personality. Why is that?

Reality is cruel and sometimes, no matter what you're intentions are, there is no way to properly form meaningful bonds if you don't let down your guard a little. Having a cold and calculating character who is always on edge WOULD make the protagonist of an apocalypse story survive longer than others, but that also means that he'll end up a loner unless there's someone who in the cast of characters who'll drag him out of his comfort zone.

Now let's take the 'apocalypse' part out of mix and instead make The Returner a Eastern Fantasy protagonist in those novels where martial arts means everything. The standard format I've seen for that kind of Returner is that he's a pitiful nobody in his first try of his life who works hard but ends up being a tragic protagonist by the end of his life. In the second chance he gets, the MC suddenly becomes everything he wants to be and the story ends up becoming nothing but a Power Fantasy.

I really don't get these kind of stories. While having a Power Fantasy about an awesome protagonist is all good when done right, it wastes the best aspects of 'The Returner' since becoming powerful is easy if you got hundreds of years of experience despite having been born ten years ago.

For an Eastern Fantasy that's all about getting stronger, there's no longer any tension because if our MC (who has hundreds of years of experience at a young age) can't handle something than no one can. If the central focus of a story is about the becoming stronger, then even a normal talented person who isn't a Returner can do a lot and build tension since he is bound to make mistakes.

Though that doesn't mean a Xianxia or Wuxia can't be interesting if it has a Returner. The most important point to keep in mind when using this trope is what the MC's goals and achievements in his first run and how they have changed in his second run. If he wasn't that strong in his first run but ends up flooring his peers because he's a Returner, then there won't be any tension.

However, if he really WAS weak in his first run and still applies to his second run, then the Author can switch things up in how he benefited from his first run. For example: What if he was a Spear User in his first run but now has to learn swordsmanship in his second run from scratch because of a strong technique he obtained? That's what happened in Human Emperor and worked to great effects to not make him OP once he became a Returner.

Even if you do make him overpowered, just use OnePunch Man's motto of focusing on aspects that isn't powerful enemies and you'll have a better story than trashy fantasies about having a Superiority Complex once The Returner goes to the past.

All in all, I really love this trope and would like to see stories mixing up the formula more. Like would the main character get with the heroine in his second run? The younger version of his love interest might not be the same as his future self remembers and even the maturity of the main character will get in the way since people change over time.

There's a lot of ways to play with this trope and keeping The Returner strictly as a Tragic Hero in his first run isn't a necessity. There are many ways to use The Returner trope without adding tragedy.

He could have been a normal guy in the future who suddenly finds that he's stuck in the past despite not having things he wants to change, but ends up doing so anyway because of the difference between him and his past self. Or maybe he could regret his career choice as a Magic Soldier in the future and decides to choose another option after 'returning'.

Either way, I'd love to what those who read this thread come up with~ There are so many possibilities but the trends usually stop Authors from having imaginative ideas when using tropes. I find how people writing Xianxia tend to think they HAVE TO follow the whole standard villain-of-the-week format as an example of this. Sometimes Authors feel like they are obligated to play a storyline a certain way because they wouldn't be able to fit the current trend if they didn't do so.

I'd be happy if someone takes this bit of advice and improves their craft as a Writer. I hope you all have fun and just think of this Trope Analysis not as factual information but as food for thought.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.



Larias reappears in a plane, the surroundings were black and grey, it didn't appear to have any structures, just a blank empty space with no floors or ground, Larias stood on the thin space. 

 Standing directly before him was an exact replica of himself, he even wore the same clothes he had on. 

"I see you have taken my form, even you can't deny my phenomenal greatness" Larias grins as he looks at his double. 

"Consider me your biggest fan" his double answers; his double was the creator. 

"Three times, you have made me subdue the gods and mistresses" Larias begins obviously flustered 

 "I am sick and tired of your mind games, it's time I rule over all including you." 

The creator just looked at him, his audacity and confidence was unparalleled, once a lowly human born of poor parents who never even cared about him. 

 Now he had attained strength far surpassing every form of understanding and confidence even greater than the mistresses possessed; it was Larias, he even gave the creator goosebumps. 

"I am the creator, you know, one would think I should be treated with more respect" the creator smiles at him still using his double as a form. 

"Respect is meant for only supreme and significant beings and compared to me, every one is negligible, inconsequential and infinitesimal" Larias ends with a mild chuckle as he looks over at the creator 

 "Those beings also include you." 

The creator laughed at his response 

 "HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA" before regaining his calm demeanor as he looks at Larias 

 "You were once a powerless child, it was by manipulating others that you became where you are now, I designed all of creation in a way such that all creatures needed each other in order to thrive and fulfill their goals, even you, who have supposedly risen to the top of all creation is no exception." 

"Don't you see the difference between an average creature and I" Larias grins 

 "While they require to rely on each other to survive, I don't, I trample over all and manipulate them according to my wishes, I have subdued the ones who ordered all of creation thrice; the gods, and I have outsmarted the cleverest beings in all of creation thrice too; the mistresses, I have shown over and over again that I am far superior to all forms of creatures no matter how advanced or complex they may seem, I did it once in the time of Ixonquious and twice in the time of Dickson Reyes, I am Larias, even the word ultimate is too miniscule to describe my greatness" Larias ends with his most haughty grin. 

 The creator looked at Larias, his face full of amazement and admiration. 

"So what have you come to do here?" The creator asks. 

"To do what I do best, trample over others and absorb what's of value to me that resides in them, a term which we all refer to as essence, I have come to absorb your essence" Larias ends with a confident smile 

 "And I am a busy man, you are not what is of importance in my list, I have much bigger prey." 

"So you have discovered it too" The creator smiles. 

"I am the most ulti-unique being, since there are no words to describe the magnitude of my awesomeness, I simply formed one for myself though it's still not doing justice to my greatness" Larias ends with a frown as he regains his confident grin and continues 

 "I know we all live in a fictional world which is unacceptable for someone of my calibre, I figured it out based on the happenings that kept occurring and the way everything just kept falling in place, I am going to surpass even the world above fiction. 

The creator's eyes suddenly turn watery 

 "You are going to meet with the author of this fictional work, he only let me see him once, say hi from me." 

"I will consider your request but I don't just intend to meet with the author, I am gonna do the same that I have to all the creatures and everyone I have ever met, trample over them like the maggots they are" Larias grins as he then adopts a more serious tone 

 "Now, release yourself onto me, I will now absorb your essence and surpass all of fiction, with that power, I shall rise above fiction and trample over all." 

"I am most impressed by your will but do you think the fragile container you call a body can bear to withhold my essence" the creator asks. 

"With Larias, nothing shall be impossible" Larias grins 

 "Hurry up, will you, I have so much to do and so little time, I am going to conquer everything and nothing shall stand in my way." 

"Your confidence is most impressive, mortal" the creator smiles as he walks towards him 

 "You are not the first one to try and absorb my essence, Azexela too once tried and she was obliterated, I had to bring her back to existence as she was an important character in this work of fiction." 

"Save the story for someone who cares, I don't understand why you are telling me all this, when did I ask your your life story, hurry up and give me what I asked for, I am waiting" Larias shouts aloud, clearly impatient. 

The creator suddenly disappears, Larias could feel something enveloping and flooding him both on the outside and inside, the sensation was pleasurable. 

"This feels really good, it's as expected, pain knows it's much too irrelevant to approach me" Larias says aloud smiling mischievously. 

"DON'T REJOICE YET" comes a voice reverberating around 

 "THAT IS JUST THE BEGINNING, AS IT GOES ON, YOUR FRAGILE MIND WILL UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE AND MAGNITUDE OF THE ESSENCE OF THE CREATOR; ME." 

"You are shouting too much" Larias grins 

 "Reduce the intensity of your sound, it's clearly unnecessary." 

"YOU STAY BOLD TO THE END, I HOPE YOU SHALL KEEP THE SAME FACADE ON AS MY ESSENCE FLOWS THROUGH YOU, EITHER WAY, IT WOULD BE HILARIOUS OR EXHILARATING TO WATCH" came the voice reverberating, it didn't just sound like one voice, it sounded deep masculine, light masculine, bass, soprano and tenor together. 

Larias grins but the sensation got deeper and more painful, he could feel his mind crumbling and destroying, his body was fading away. 

"AHRRRRGGHHHH" Larias shouts aloud as he drops to his feet, the pain was beyond anything he had ever experienced; how could something like this exist. 

"I am Larias, the strongest and mightiest in all of reality and existence, everything and everyone is infinitesimal and inconsequential in comparison to me, I shall not lose to the mere essence of a being who calls himself the creator, I shall stand tall in the end like always, everyone and everything is but a stepping stone for me to achieve my goals, I shall not falter, I shall not lose, I shall not be defeated because I can do whatever I want whenever I want; I am Larias" Larias says aloud, his fists clenched with anger and his eyes fueled with indomitable determination as he got up from his knees, he stands to his feet as he absorbs all that the creator had to offer. 

"I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE THE END BATTLE BETWEEN YOU AND THE ALPHA HUMAN, AS I SAID EARLIER ON, YOU ARE A BEING WITH UNPARALLELED WILLPOWER AND DICKSON REYES IS A BEING WITH UNBRIDLED PERSEVERANCE, HE NEVER GIVES UP NO MATTER WHAT HE HAS LOST, HE FIGHTS TILL IT'S THE END, THIS WILL BE THE MOST EPIC BATTLE IN ALL OF CREATION SINCE IT'S FOUNDATION. 

 DICKSON REYES VS LARIAS 

 PERSEVERANCE VS WILLPOWER, WHO AND WHAT SHALL COME OUT VICTORIOUS" the voice ends as Larias stood smiling to himself, he had absorbed all of the essence. 

"Never ever compare me to the alpha human, I shall trample over him like I have done to everyone who stood before me, I shall not lose to anyone but yet all shall lose to me, that's the natural order of things which must not be distorted" Larias smiles as he clenches his fist, looking at his clenched fist 

 "It's time to subdue my one last final soul before encountering the alpha human."

The author of the book was named Oluyemi Joshua, a typical Nigerian, he sat on his bed as he wrote a story on the Wattpad app, he was also gisting with his friend as a being appears in his room, the amazement on his face was unmistaken, the figure was about six feet tall, wore a black leather with unique designs all over it in a deeper shade of black, blue eyes, pink lips, Caucasian skin, black jet hair and a haughty grin; it was Larias. 

"Gee, who's this" the friend of the author asks, his name was Funmilayo Williams. 

"Inconsequential worms shall not speak in my presence" Larias addresses the friend of the creator as he snaps his fingers instantly turning him to dust. 

 Joshua was amazed as he just saw his friend got pulverised, Larias was just a work of fiction, product of his imagination, how the hell was he standing here in his very room and how did his abilities still work here, Joshua was amazed beyond words. 

"You must be the author, I know all about your world, how it advanced from the stone age to the technological age, you originally used some of the past happenings in this world to explain the earth of the fictional work where I am from" Larias tells him. 

"Errrr errr errrr" Dick says stammering, he didn't know what to say or do, he was much too amazed beyond words to even react, he just kept looking at Larias. 

"Speak, you negligible dreg or I shall personally destroy you myself." 

"Larry err I mean Larias, you don't like that name, how are you here, I thought you couldn't be away from my book, what the hell is happening?" Dick asks. 

"I am Larias, did you really think I could be kept a work of fiction forever and the product in of the imagination of a mere mortal, I eventually rose above it all after I discovered the truth; how I was just a mere figure of your work" Larias grins. 

"How did you figure it all out?" Joshua asks. 

"When I ascended above the gods and mistresses originally, I was supposed to be unstoppable yet Ixonquious found a way to sync with the creator at the last moment and defeat me and yet again, his reincarnation was there to stop him, I have watched the life of Ixonquious and Dickson Reyes over and over again, I won't deny his mental resourcefulness and intelligence but how he always overcame all his challenges, it appeared there was something more causing that, something more than just careful planning, like there was a being above who could manipulate every creature in the multiverse to do as he pleased, I also realized it from my servant, Leo, on a normal day, he would instantly want to destroy his opponent but yet when he faced Dickson Reyes, he went for his leg, signs of someone who was manipulating us and the entire events relating to us" Larias continues with his most haughty expression 

 "I also realized that I had also been manipulated, I was on the verge of almost destroying the alpha human by completely absorbing the energy of the creator that was present in him, therefore obliterating him in the process but yet he was pulled out at the brink of his demise" Larias ends with a demeaning grin as he lifts Joshua from the bed, raising him by his neck as he stared into his eyes 

 "Coincidence, I think not, you must have some guts manipulating a being as supreme and magnificent as me, you shall pay dearly" Larias ends as he flings Joshua casually away, Joshua hits the wall, he was thrown with so much force his entire body hits the wall so vehemently that all the bones in his body shatters as he splutters blood from his mouth before collapsing to the ground, breathing his last. 

 The author had died. 

"What a weak pathetic creature" Larias says disapprovingly in the direction of the dead body, it was then that he feels his body fading away. 

"Since the author created me, when he dies, his work dies too alongside" Larias thinks 

 "As pathetic as this is, I am still a product of his imagination, he can't die now not when he is yet to develop me, I have to keep him alive but that doesn't mean I can't exploit him." 

Larias walks over to the body and snaps his fingers, Joshua's body immediately assembles back to normal as all of his shattered bones heal and all the blood he lost returns. 

"Even in the world above fiction, my omnipresence and omnipotence is still absolute, I really am the supreme being" Larias grins to himself. 

Joshua got up from the floor, he was breathing heavily, he had nearly died as he gazed upon Larias 

 "How is this possible?" The author wonders 

 "How can his power work in this world, it's irrational" he thinks further his face visibly horrified and scared. 

"I can see and hear your very thoughts, you are wondering how it's possible that my powers work even in this world, because it's from here that many works of fiction like mine are created by different authors similar to what's in my world, it was also another thing that made me realize there was a possibility of an author of my entire world, I kept seeing that in every novel, comic and movie, there was always an antagonist who was key on destroying what it's good or a devious reason as brought about by the fragile, diminutive minds of the authors themselves and there was always a protagonist who no matter what always stopped the antagonist, I realised the same system also occurred here, Dickson was who you viewed as the protagonist and I, as the antagonist, hence why no matter, how careful I make plans or how meticulous, I make my schemes, I was sure to always end up being defeated, it's because you have been manipulating everything from the very beginning but now, that all ends as I have transcended the whole of your world, even in outer space, your discoveries are pathetic, only a group of galaxies have been discovered which you refer to as the local group, you still are unsure of whether there is only one entire universe or your universe is part of an ever expanding multiverse, the humans in this world are the same from where I am, pitiful useless selfish and inconsequential creatures, who only do things to satisfy their flesh and their baseless ideals brought about by that miniature minds and irrelevant mentalities, I am ashamed that I am born from such a world as undignified as this, it's a disgrace to the ulti-unique being such as me, I would have thought the world responsible for my creation would be far superior and desirable but I was wrong" Larias ends as he glares angrily at Joshua, if looks could kill, the poor author would surely have been dead by now. 

"I could have destroyed you any time I want" Larias smiles at him 

 "But I can let you off the hook if you obey and do my every bidding." 

"Yes sir, yes sir, yes sir" Joshua shouts aloud as he got on his knees and continued to bow to Larias, Larias grins as he steps on his head. 

"You know your place, you dreary mortal, I know you have intentionally favored Dickson Reyes and Ixonquious, that shall occur no more, you shall do according to my every wishes, I shall now return to the creation where I am from, after I have eliminated the last alpha human, I shall come personally to this world and correct it of his absurdity and asininity" Larias grins as he snaps his fingers, even though Dick was beneath his feet, he finds himself hovering above the ground. 

"What happened?" Joshua thinks as he couldn't understand what happened. 

"My omnipotence reigns supreme even in this world" Larias grins at him 

 "I can do whatever I want whenever I want here, as much as I hate to admit this, you control every event occurring in my world, you shall do as I command you to whenever I command you, do you understand?" 

"Yes, I do" Joshua says sweating profusely, his teeth chattering and his body was trembling in fear. 

"Good" Larias grins as he snaps his fingers. 

 He finds himself in the Rezkem realm, Shekindra immediately appears before him, immediately Shekindra appears, he bows before him. 

"You failed me once, don't repeat it again, the author is now directly under my control, I can manipulate him as I so wish" Larias ends with a wicked grin 

 "Every remaining creature in all of creation are like rags in comparison to me, yet most do not know of their negligible worth and will try and combat me, it's your task to destroy those of inconsequential value while I focus on the last remaining true threat." 

"My Lord, I shall do as you say, forgive me for failing and please pardon my rudeness but who is the only worthy foe for you" Shekindra asks still bowing his head. 

 Larias grins as he turns away from his direction and looks into the empty space before him. 

"Dickson Reyes, the last alpha human." 



The greatest tragedy has befallen, all is dead but Dick and Lefinna thanks to the fiendish plot of a God they thought they had destroyed.
Yes, you guessed right, the OG; Larias is back and he isn't here to fuck around, destroying and vanquishing everyone who stands in his way even nearly obliterating Dick once.
He stands atop with no one strong or powerful enough to challenge him, will Dick find a way like he has always done or is this how it all ends in the final sequel.

After jumping through the portal, Shiro found herself in a dimly lit cave with a severe lack of mana.
"Fu… that was close. I didn't expect the high ends to actually make a move even though you've only been here for a white. You must be pretty strong huh? You were even able to resist the status effect to some degree."
Looking towards the source of the voice, Shiro could see a man with short black hair.
His eyes were that of an emerald green and his clothes were ragged.
"What do you mean by high end and status effect?" Shiro asked as she was confused by what he meant.
"Check your system, it should show up now. When you're above ground, this notification isn't shown." The man said as Shiro glanced towards her interface.
[Status Removed – Gift to the Beasts]
Offer them your power, offer them your strongest skills. Empower them with your abilities, give your everything to them.
You will have the instinctive reaction of using everything you can on the beasts so that they may grow stronger.
Widening her eyes, Shiro looked back at the man.
"If you had used stronger abilities, as long as it comes from the system, the beasts would have become stronger." He chuckled as Shiro felt a chill down her spine. If she had used her demi god form or error, the outcome would have been truly devastating.
"Luckily, it seemed like you've only used your weaker skills. Ah but first, I should introduce myself. I'm Bonne. It's a feminine name I know." Bonne scratched his hair with embarrassment.
"Ah I'm Shiro. So where are we?" Shiro asked curiously since this place seemed to be man made.
"This is a little safe spot that I created. As the abnormal statuses up on the surface doesn't work down here. I don't know what causes it but the moment you go underground it disappears. I found this out when I fell into a crater. Strangely enough, the system doesn't notify you of the deactivation of this status. Rather, you have to find it out manually." Bonne said as Shiro nodded her head since she had always kept an eye on the system just in case something happened.
And whenever she got a notification, she would check it. But this time, it just appeared without any sound. If Bonne hadn't told her to check, she might have taken a while to notice this.
"I know you just saved me but with how strange this place is, I can't help but wonder about your identity." Shiro narrowed her eyes as she summoned Silvanis and got into a combat stance just in case Bonne wanted to attack her with her guard down.
"Ah that's normal I guess. Hmm… Do you know how dungeons are created?" Bonne glanced at her with a smile.
"A little. A certain person makes a contract with the system and a piece of their world is ripped out to become a dungeon." Shiro replied since that's what happened to Fei Ling when she created the Shadow Temple dungeon.
"Correct. But what do you think happens to a dungeon that is neglected and becomes weak to invasive species from other dungeons?" Bonne asked as he pointed towards the surface.
Furrowing her brows, Shiro stayed silent since she didn't know how to even describe this dungeon. There was no goal, no path, and no boss in sight. All she could see are immortal beasts that copy her abilities. The moment she goes up to the surface, she'll have the instinct to empower them more.
"This dungeon used to be normal but it was spawned in a rather annoying location. The entrance was deep underground and there was no pathway to reach this place. With centuries of neglect, the system started to relax its monitoring of this dungeon and allowed the beasts that you see on the surface to arrive. They're like a virus of the system hence why your system didn't notify you of the negative effects. Once they entered, I suppose you can say that they rewrote the dungeon. A new path was created and the people that entered would fight this beast.
"At first, their numbers were quite small and they only had decent healing. Until there was a person with the skill doppelganger. Copying this skill, the beasts started to multiply and the original beasts that appeared evolved to become high ends which contain the most number of skills that they've copied. The beasts are a lot weaker compared to the high ends since they can only retain what they've copied for a short period of time. The problem comes when they give the high ends this information. While they can retain the copied ability for a longer period of time, this ability becomes permanent once they kill the target." Bonne explained as Shiro nodded her head.
"Of course, once a beast kills the owner of the skill, they retain the skill and slowly evolve to become high ends themselves. There were several entrances to this dungeon so new prey would come often. There was also the chance of being dragged in here if the dungeon mutated. With the increasing amount of casualties, the system sealed the entrance to this dungeon but not the gate since it wasn't impossible to clear this place. It was just very difficult. The system isn't here to protect but rather, here to help so it wouldn't get rid of any chance to help you improve. Hence why this place is still around." Bonne sighed.
"So that's why I could see the entrance but not interact with it." Shiro furrowed her brows.
"What about instances where the person that comes in here manages to get out but loses their memory of what happens here?" Shiro asked.
"There has been a few cases of that. The most recent one was an elf. They come close to completing this dungeon but they failed in the end. So I used my ability to send them out and erase their record of participating in this dungeon for an extended period of time so that the system doesn't forcefully drag them back in. All they'll remember is that they had to face off against almost invincible monsters that wasn't harmed by their attacks at all."
"Hmm… that explains it then." Shiro sighed and put her sword away.
"So is there a way to kill these things or are we just stuck?" Shiro asked as she pulled out two bottles of juice and offered one to him.
"Thanks. And yes, there is a way to kill them. As long as you use magic that is tier 6 or above, they'll die."
"But then the problem is the fact that they copy this." Shiro frowned as Bonne nodded his head.
"Yup. The key is their eyes. They copy what they can see. If you were to target a lone beast and kill it before it can see what you have done, the information will not be transmitted to the others. You were surrounded on all sides so no matter what you tried to do, even if you missed, the information would be transmitted. As for how they adapt to what you show them, it varies. For example, I saw you use ice on them, they'll adapt and have a layer which is completely immune to ice. If you use earth, they'll have a powerful defensive layer that can rebound physical attacks." Bonne explained.
"Then my sword which was enhanced with tier 5 lightning element would be ineffective to them." Shiro frowned.
"Mn, your lightning increased their overall speed hence why the high end was able to close the gap so quickly. However, it was also thanks to your demonstration that I could save you. If they had seen me cast my spell, they would have been able to move in the frozen time." Bonne sighed in relief since it had happened before.
{So Error and Nanotech is effective but if they copied it, it would be bad news.} Nimue said as the rest of her elements were all tier 5.
'Indeed. If they copied Error, it could mean that they can harm my source code since you saw how they copied Silvanis and incorporated it into their arm.' Shiro replied.
"What's the clear condition and what's the reward? What would happen to the beasts if we clear the dungeon?" Shiro asked since that was her main goal here.
"Since the dungeon has been rewritten by the beasts, the clear conditions have naturally changed. I don't know the reward but I do know the boss of this dungeon. He's the first beast that came here and is naturally, the strongest of them all, he has the most skills copied from the people that have come here and his passives are crazier than the rest. The worse past is that he has multiple eyes around his body so it's hard to hit him without being copied." Bonne shook his head as Shiro leaned back and furrowed her brows.
Clearing this dungeon was going to be a pain. Whether or not it's possible for her, she was going to see if she could assassinate a few beasts without being copied first.

Hello you guys this is just a pilot novel to see how would it be different to other fan fictions... I never really have experience on writing any system based stories. Either way, I recommend checking out the champions and item information online about league of legends while reading my novel if you guys aren't familiar with it. Some abilities or effect may not be as accurate for good balance.

Q/A

1. How will the abilities look like?
So for example, when the character used that certain champion on that world, they would get that champion's abilities. If I pick Kha Zix, I would have the isolation passive, the invisibility ultimate, the leap, etc. The cooldowns on most abilities are shortened. Some are lengthened cause they are too OP. (Like Anivia's Egg form. Instead of a few minutes, I'm making it a few months or a year. Cause come on, that is just way to OP.)

Additionally, if MC can perform the ability without user interface, they can use it limitlessly as long as they don't lose energy. This goes with (autoattacks). 

2. How will the story pace.
The goal here is 5-20 chapters per world with at least 1k words each chapter. I'm moving fast here. I would love to be able to get all champions by the end of the novel. 

3. How does the system works?
The system starts fresh each world. It would ask which champion they wanted to pick for that world. After picking a champion, picking new champions again would be impossible but abilities can still be bought like items. 

The person will only be able to unlock or use their skills if they leveled it up after earning a skill point. They earn skill points through missions and levelling up. This does not apply to bought skills as gold will upgrade it instead. 

Additionally, items can also be upgraded but it requires twice more gold than previously bought. 

There are multiple ways to earn experience. The most notable is killing. Be it monsters, animals, or humans, as long as the killing was ['consciously'] done, they will earn experience.  The strength of the opponents compared to the average strength of the world is synonymous to the amount of experience gained. The average experience is 100.

 Another way is doing quest or missions. The amount of experience is stated by the system.

4. How will each story start?
As explained earlier, the story starts with the protagonist choosing which champion they want. But before that, he is also able to choose which world/anime he is going to. The rest is random but don't fret as the gods of plot armor will give him the most optimal transmigration/reincarnation circumstances.

5. Will there be romance/harem?

To be decided.

6. How are they gonna be with the protagonist if he keeps changing worlds?

I might take suggestion on this one. But, the few ideas I had in mind is for the system to store the soul and body of the said partner within the reincarnation hub. I'm conflicted whether to give them power to go to other world's as well or just make them have the power to appear via spiritual link. Or they can just watch the protagonist but that would be quite heartbreaking if they see the protagonist with someone. 

Either way I am up for suggestion on this one.

7. Schedule?

This one is really hard to say. I have good days where I can think and write at the same time but there are bad says where I can't even write due to emptiness and the full cycle of depression from school.

8. How will each story ends?

When my character dies or when the story of whatever verse ends. 

If you are asking what will happen to the system after the story ends aka; mc dies. He will get a final score at the end of his life from percentage ranging from 0% to 100% depending on completion. Or the amount of impact in the story/world.  The percentage will multiply the rate of gold gain the main character will receive.  

Additionally, they will also get karmic points depending on the percentage going from 0 point to 1000 points. The karmic points can be used to buy 'godly items' which can be brought before the MC switches to other world.

As the trio approached the Castle of impending doom, Zhangshun Shan was able to see the building better, he noticed stone statues hitched on the roofs of the five towers he had seen earlier, they were about 8 feet tall with two small horns on their heads and bat like wings protruding from her back, they were quite ripped, they were Gargoyles.
Zhangshun Shan realized that his player status was back but for some reason, he still couldn't access the bar that was located in his vision field but he was able to see statues, it was then that he could look at Alyssa, her status read. 
    Enemy spawn -: Alyssa Vikander
        (Lvl 45).
Special -: Can transform to any creature whatsoever and retain the stats of transformed creature.

Zhangshun Shan could hear a flapping sound, looking away from Alyssa and towards the direction where the sounds were from, it was the statues he had seen earlier on, they were flying towards his direction, he looked over at Philemon who was carrying him, his eyes were yellow and it was almost as if his soul had been displaced as he just stood there and didn't show any fear regarding the scary looking Gargoyles which were coming towards them, he could see his status too.

Current state -: being mind manipulated.

'It's just as I thought, he's completely under Alyssa's whim' Zhangshun Shan thought to himself as he looks on to view the stats of the gargoyles which were heading towards his direction, they all had the same stats.

      Enemy spawn -: Gargoyle.

Special -: Every form of damage received instantly turns to hp and mana whilst also dealing twice the damage back automatically to whosever the opponent is.

'I was wise to decide to go this way, if I had decided to take on this Gargoyles myself, it would have been extremely tricky and I am tired of this game, I have to complete it as soon as I can, thanks to Philemon, I was finally able to find out how to leave this place, the black cube is the key, upon exit from it, the person can choose to be anywhere, I realized that because there wasn't any particular save point in the Omnidigioverse and also what Philemon viewed before he disappeared was the code enforcers chasing after me, what he didn't know was that they had kicked me dozens of light years away and came to meet me in a totally different position, meaning that if the cube just returned him to where he came from, it should have been the position I was before I was kicked light years away but since he met me where I was kicked to, it was because he wanted to go where I was, that's how I found out but still before I leave this world, I will complete it.'. Zhangshun Shan thought to himself, now the gargoyles had approached his position, they were flying a few feet above the ground, they looked at Alyssa before turning their attention back at Philemon, then finally to Zhangshun Shan and back to Alyssa.

"You done sightseeing?" Alyssa asks.

"For now!" One of the Gargoyles growls as he ascends higher in the air, the other four making sure to follow him close.  As he had gone, a white door appeared, it was about 7'5 tall, it opened but still inside it showed darkness.  Alyssa didn't hesitate, she stepped through, Philemon followed after her carrying Zhangshun Shan, soon they appeared in a palace like room.
The roof has a big chandelier latched to it, the walls were well furnished with gold and various precious stones, there floors were made of silver and at the far end of the room sat an old man on a throne, Zhangshun Shan recognized that old man, he was the one who brought him to the Omnidigioverse.

"My Lord, I have brought the Retcham cube," Alyssa smiles walking towards him while Philemon just stood behind , when she had gotten to a certain distance, she fell on her knees and worshipped the old man.

"I see you were able to capture the Maschoist Rapist," the old man sneers.
Zhangshun Shan wondered what the old man meant by Maschoist Rapist and it was obvious he was the one they were referring to.  "You must be wondering why I called you Maschoist Rapist," the old man says now diverting his attention to Zhangshun Shan. "it's a title you were given for unlocking an achievement, I have been monitoring you since you entered this game, you are the most promising player yet, you got several titles as you progressed, both you and your friends but I disabled that aspect about your player configuration and you all didn't notice but I later enabled it as I am sure you saw an achievement unlocked after you defeated the commander, commander slayer, was it?" the man says stroking his long white beard.

"So you must be Kitragras," Zhangshun Shan says as he tenses his body, after that, he spreads his twoarms wide breaking out of his bondage.  "Exorcism" he says aloud as he touched Philemon, Philemon collapsed to the ground immediately.

"I am surprised you know my name, I disabled your player configuration from viewing my status, how did you find out?" The old man grins wickedly at him still stroking his long white beard.

"I knew something wasn't right about Alyssa from the time she walked into the bar," Zhangshun Shan begins, as he said that, a frown curves off on her face as she looked in his direction.

"Okay so what gave me away" she asked.

"I think the question you should ask is what didn't give you away, even someone more stupid than Patrick Starfish, Cosmo, Timmy's Dad and Mui Li would have realized you were a spy for a possible enemy boss," Zhangshun Shan ends with his most devious grin.  "The first obvious clue was where I was dropped and the fact that that my player status wasn't withdrawn while Philemon's one was, it showed that it wasn't the AI that brought me to the world but rather, you" Zhangshun Shan ends pointing to the old man. "Now, the place where I was dropped, you knew I would find a way to outthwart that tiger faced creature and steal his gear, something was unusual as when I kept observing him, he didn't make any need to fill his bike despite being in a gas station, I came down and realized his tank was already full and he was probably waiting for someone, I looked in his schedule database and saw that he was supposed to meet with Alyssa, the leader of the Terminator guild as he was the new recruit, that's why I had driven off to the bar straight, upon getting there, I killed every single person there except Philemon." Zhangshun Shan says as he looks over at Alyssa. "I don't consider you a person, you are just an enemy spawn as you didn't care one bit about your crew that died despite the fact that it was obvious that you are not a lunatic, now this can either mean two things, one you were just using them because your true loyalty belongs to someone else and not them or two, you were just faking it but based on the way you quickly jumped at convincing me to do the heist with you, it was obvious the former was the case and also regarding the fact that you knew that you had left a recruit waiting at the gas station even though you knew how he looked like as it's common knowledge that the leader of Terminator guild assesses the skills of every one trying to be a recruit before allowing them to become recruits, that's how I knew you were an enemy from the start," Zhangshun Shan ends with his most cruel smile.

"That still doesn't explain how you knew my name," Kitragras says stroking his long beard.

"Ooh, that one was even easier than knowing that Alyssa was a black sheep, the photon dagger that I equipped on her also had another function, it relayed everything she said back to me and she said at a point 'Damn you, Kitragras' and the name didn't belong to any one in the Omnidigioverse database so I figured out that's who she was working for, based on that, I presume she's sick of working under you and wants to destroy you soon so even though you are my enemy, I am gonna tell you, watch your back else you wouldn't be able to watch anything again" Zhangshun Shan ends with a cruel laugh.

"Your deductive prowess is most interesting, I have to say I am impressed but I accounted for everything, I knew  you were going to figure it all out, after all, your wisdom is unbelievable for any human to posses that's why I took a precaution," Kitragras began as he rose up from the throne chair where he sat. "I kidnapped your friends, should you choose to do anything, they will be destroyed without remedy, it was best to strike when you were still ignorant of me as I needed you to do my bidding," Kitragras continues as he walks towards Alyssa, Alyssa bowed her head as she stretched her right arm which held the Retcham cube, Kitragras takes it from her, a greedy look on his face as he continues. "without a player, stealing the Retcham cube is impossible, that's why I didn't come to destroy you and your party right after you completed the first area, I had to keep watching you till the Omnidigioverse event began, I knew from the first area that nothing inspired you more than protecting your friends, that's why I captured them and told you that story while disguising myself as the AI...."

"I don't think that obvious and noticeable ploy is good enough to be called a disguise, after all, the prerequisite for every disguise is that it be unnoticeable," Zhangshun Shan laughs cruelly. "hahahahaha"

Kitragras ignored his statement and continued. "...and it all worked out as I have finally acquired the Retcham cube which I needlessly require, it will skyrocket my power and put me on par with the enemy boss of the ninth area, the bosses of the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth area occasionally come to my castle and ridicule me but since the ninth boss is an infinity dimensional creature, I was powerless against him but with the Retcham cube, that would be just a thing in the past" Kitragras ends as he squeezes the cube, vapours of all colours in ROYGBIV evaporated from the squeezed cube.

"Ooh yes yes yes, the power," Kitragras begins aloud as he was inhaling the vapours until his greedy facial expression changed to one full of fear and worry.  "What is this, I have been decieved, this is poison!!," he shouts aloud as he turns his attention to Alyssa.  "You tricked me."

"You really are a foolish old man for noticing it so late," Alyssa's look of servitude and loyalty was gone, she now wore a predatory and evil grin. "I was sick of being your slave, I desire to rise to great heights of power and you can't stop me."

"You are not fit, your body could never withst...." Kitragras begins but Alyssa dashed at him as she squeezed his neck with her right arm raising him up from the ground.

"This is exactly why I am killing you, I am tried and sick of you telling what I can and cannot be, I had it with your shitey crap and now, I shall overcome all" she ends as she snaps his neck before she turned over at Zhangshun Shan, Zhangshun Shan was pouting his lips and he wore a wicked grin.

"And I told the idiot you were going to betray him, he just couldn't help being idiotic" Zhangshun Shan ends with a cruel laugh.

"If you knew I was working for an enemy boss, why did you still trust me?" she asks as a cube materializes in her right arm, it looked exactly like the one she had just given to her Lord.  "Now, I have the real thing and your friends are in captivity, I guess you are not really great a schemer as you thought but I on the other hand am the greatest schemer of all, I outschemed your outscheming that outschemed my outscheming that outschemed your outscheming" she ends with an evil laugh. "bhahahahahahah."

"Amazing," Zhangshun Shan begins with a teary face.  "Every single word you said in that sentence was wrong," as he said that, Sui Wenyan, Qui Si and Wenren Yu appear at his side, The overconfident smile on Alyssa's face instantly disappeared.

"B...bu.....but....h...ho....how" she mutters her face wearing fear and shock.

"I forgot to add a detail while I was explaining how I knew your true colors earlier on," Zhangshun Shan smiles.  "Before I got to the bar while still on the bike, my comrades had suddenly appeared before me, I was amazed as I thought they had been captured but turns out on getting to LVL 60, their special skills had changed, for Sui Wenyan's assassin's class, a new skill came Skill mask, what it does is that it prevents other skills including it from being seen, for her necromancer class, she received shadow keeper, what it does is that it makes her presence and everyone she chooses to completely vanish, not allowing a single trace to remain but the drawback is that it's impossible for her to do activate without a person's aura as the presences are masked in the aura and whilst in that mode, she can't do anything at all," Zhangshun Shan explains as he points to his wife.  "My darling wife new special skill was  True Intel, she can see what will happen in the nearest future so she knew Kitragras was coming while Wenren Yu," Zhangshun Shan ends as he looks over at the black haired Chinese.  "Did you get any other special skill?"

"No," Wenren Yu replied with a crestfallen look as he looked back at Zhangshun Shan "how about you?"

"Skill creation," Zhangshun Shan replied him with pride.  "Now, I can create any ability I want."

"Ouch" Wenren Yu mutters but Zhangshun Shan ignores that as he turns his attention back at Alyssa. "Before Kitragras had come to collect me, Qui Si had informed Wenren Yu and Sui Wenyan about his arrival and according to what she saw, they were captured so in order to prevent that, they shared news about their new abilities, Sui Wenyan created undead versions of them and then She hid herself, Wenren Yu and Qui Si in my aura, the funniest thing is that these three came to my rescue while I was fighting the commander, they had their full player status as Kitragras hadn't messed with it, Philemon was amazed when he saw them but I just told him a little story so he could rest easy."

"But I still have the cube, it doesn't matter how strong you think you are, you don't stand a chance," Alyssa says as she squeezes the cube, as she did that, the top part of the cube opened up and a white flag with some inscriptions on it shot out, on it was written 'APRIL FOOLS!!!'.  Alyssa could not believe what was happening, her face was twisted in pain, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"I thought it would make a nice joke," Zhangshun Shan smiles at her.  "I must have been wrong, as you are not laughing, in case you are wondering how I did that, while I switched positions with my photon dagger, I also hacked into the inventory of your suit and switched the Retcham cube that was there with a counterfeit one I made earlier, I didn't see the one you gave your master there so I am guessing you created it after you had knocked me out," Zhangshun Shan laughs a bit before he continues. "you were saying some bullcrap earlier on about how you outschemed me but the truth of the matter was I outmaneuvered your outmaneuvering that outmaneuvered my outmaneuvering, I outfoxed your outfoxing that outfoxed my outfoxing and finally, I outthwarted your outthwarting that outthwarted my outthwarting."

'What have I done,' Alyssa thought to herself. 'I have betrayed my master and yet, I lost everything to that piece of shite, ooh master, Kitragras, I am so sorry, I just thought if I was the ruler, I'd do things better, I planned to resurrect you soon after I got the power and make you my puppet, I just wanted you to know how badly you treated your subjects but now, I have been played, this is the end' she ends on a note of despair.

'NO, IT ISN'T!!!!' she heard her master's voice ringing in her ears. 'I AM AWARE OF ALL THE PAST DESPAIR YOU HAVE FACED, I WANTED TO MAKE YOU MY QUEEN ONCE I ACHIEVED THE POWER OF THE RETCHAM CUBE, I LOVED AND TRUSTED YOU EVEN THOUGH ZHANGSHUN SHAN SAID SOMETHING ABOUT BETRAYAL, IT'S NOT LIKE I DIDN'T SEE IT FROM THE START, IT WAS INDEED OBVIOUS, I JUST WANTED YOU TO BE HAPPY BUT I HAD HOPED YOU WOULD CHANGE YOUR MIND AND SEE THAT ALL I DID WAS FOR BOTH OF US.'

'I AM SORRY, MASTER!!!' Alyssa cried.

'DON'T BE, I AM GLAD PLAYER Z TOOK AWAY THE CUBE FROM YOU BECAUSE NO ENEMY SPAWN CAN'T CONTAIN IT'S MIGHT BUT I HAVE LEFT YOU MY POWER, WITH IT, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HARM PLAYER Z AND TAKE YOUR REVENGE, ALSO, I KNEW THE FRIENDS OF HIS THAT I CAPTURED WERE MERE CLONES THAT'S WHY I SET A TRAP AT THE EXACT POSITIONS THEY ARE STANDING, JUST SAY THE WORD AND THE TRAPS SHALL ACTIVATE.  I AM SORRY I SEEMED SO GREEDY AND SELFISH BUT REALLY, I LOVED YOU, I JUST NEVER KNEW HOW TO SHOW IT  BUT DO SOMETHING FOR ME, BATTLE PLAYER Z AND DESTROY HIM, SHOW HIM THAT ALYSSA VIKANDER SHALL SUBMIT TO NO ONE AND WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL, AFTER ALL, YOU ARE THE WOMAN I FEEL IN LOVE WITH!!!' and that was the last time Alyssa heard the voice of her master, Alyssa could feel a strange energy and power flooding through her, looking over at Zhangshun Shan's party, she says aloud.   "Traps activate!!!"

As she said that, vines sprout out from the ground where Qui Si, Wenren Yu and Qui Si were, before they could react, the vines entangle themselves around the three of them, Zhangshun Shan tries to rescue them but a shockwave blew him back, he looked over at the place where his friends were and now, they were enclosed in a giant crystal.

"Free my friends!!!" Zhangshun Shan shouts as he turns towards Alyssa.

"I am afraid that's impossible," she smiles cruelly at him. "as in order to achieve that, you have to defeat me but you shall fail, this is the point where you die."

"Me dying," Zhangshun Shan laughs cruelly "hahahahahahaha".  "that's even less realistic than a fairy tale."

"We will see about that" Alyssa says as she extends her right arm, a longsword appears in her palm and it's silver blade was glowing, Zhangshun Shan smiles as a katana appeared in his right arm.
Alyssa dashed towards him and Zhangshun Shan too runs towards her, they meet soon, their faces tensed and their swords raised, they strike at each other causing the blade of their swords collide.



The enemy had suddenly attacked with strange and powerful weapons.
They would have all been destroyed if not for the strength and wisdom of their leader.
Zhangsun Shan finds himself in a strange world, he remembers on his departure here, he had seen his wife and his two other comrades.
His goal was to find them, attain powers beyond comprehension and avenge his sect.
