"Wake up! WAKE UP!!!"
Anita shook her sleeping daughter up. 
"There's someone out the front. Carlos needs us in the safe room." Maria nodded blearily at her madre. 
"Okay okay, I'm awake. Let's go."
It was 02:36 AM when Carlos stormed into where Anita had been previously sleeping. 
"Up. Now. Get Maria and get to the safe room. NOW!" He yelled. Anita was quick to react and chucked her jumper on.
"Wait!" She cried after him. "What the hell is going on?!" Carlos turned to her and paused, gazing intensely at her face. He sighed.
"Viva's men are out front. You have to go. They'll be after you and Maria. They want to make me suffer, you know that. Now go!"  Anita hurriedly nodded, but before she let Carlos leave, she looked up at his concerned face and kissed him. Her heart would not allow her peace until she had him by her side. Carlos felt a wave of shock wash over him. After their lips parted from that intimate embrace, Carlos turned away and left. He needed to keep his family safe. 
Anita followed him out of the door and jogged to the room Maria was staying in. She looked so peaceful sleeping. She leant over her daughter and shook her awake.
"Wake up! WAKE UP!!" She whispered/yelled. Maria looked up at her mother blearily.
"There's someone out front. Carlos needs us in the safe room." Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she sat up. 
"Okay, I'm up." She reached for her crutches and stood up awkwardly. "Uhm… Where's the safe room?" 
Anita's eyes widened realising she had no idea either. 
"Hang on! I'll be right back." She ran out of the room and chased after Carlos who was looking through the curtain in the lounge. He shot a look at Anita.
"I told you to get to the safe room!" Anita nodded cheesily. 
"About that… Where is the safe room?" Carlos groaned inwardly and facepalmed himself. Of course, she didn't know. He never told her. 
"Maria's closet, behind the coats. Like the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe." Anita thanked him and ran back upstairs where Maria was waiting for her impatiently.
"Okay, remember The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe?" She asked. Maria nodded. "Let's go then." Swinging wide open the wardrobe doors, she lifted up the coats and beckoned for Maria to go through. "I think you'll have to crawl." She murmured examining the space. Maria nodded and dropped her crutches. She dropped to her knees easily enough and crawled through the space which led to a room with a door in it. The room Maria found herself in, was a four ft by four ft space. It was extremely dark, but you could clearly realise that the door was heavy duty. Anita followed her daughter in. She headbutted her daughter's legs before turning back around. She reached into the wardrobe and yanked the doors shut and brushed the coats back down just in case anyone came looking. Neither wished to be found.
The room was indeed dark, so when Anita yanked open the metal door, a light switch was not taken for granted. The door led to a steel room, not too big, not too small, about the size of a small bedroom. Maria and her madre walked in, noticing the metal shelving unit filled with blankets, snacks and drinks.  Anita helped Maria sit down then closed the door behind her and listened as the locks clicked one by one.
"Looks like we could be stuck in here for the long haul sweetheart," Anita said, tugging some blankets down and handing them to her daughter. Maria nodded. She gratefully took the proffered bottle of water and took a deep long sip. The moisture ran down her dry throat and soothed her immensely. Anita sighed heavily and sat down next to her. 
"What a mess we're in, hey?" She said staring up at the ceiling. Maria nodded. 
"A sucky situation alright." She replied. Maria leant her head on Anita's shoulder and mumbled an "I love you." Anita smiled.
"I love you too sweetheart. And Maria? I'm sorry. About all of this. You shouldn't have been dragged into this."
Maria wrapped her arms arounds her madre to comfort her. 
"It's not your fault. It's just life. We'll get past it." She murmured. Anita sighed again.
"You're too mature for your own good. One day you are going to make a beautiful and wonderful woman." 
Maria blushed. She had never been that great at taking compliments.
The two fell asleep in one another's arms.Their relationship was closer than many other mother/daughter bonds. They had been through hell and high water with each other and trusted one another with their lives. The situation that fate had dealt them was unfair. They deserved far better. Maria deserved a father. Anita deserved her true love. But they had both found substitutions in each other. 
So before we go back to their intrepid story, which as I fear may end with tragedy, we'll leave Anita and Maria to rest in their little safe room, and join Carlos as he fights for his family.

Meet Maria. She's your typical seventeen yr old. Only she isn't. She's about to finish college and is looking at some of the most prestigious universities in the US. She lives with her mom and has never met her dad before, and most of her family is seriously messed up. Think of her family as your riches to rags kinda story. They used to have it all, but not long after Maria was born, it was all taken from them. Unfortunately, Maria is about to be thrown into the deep depths of family arguments, betrayals, and the mafia...

Salazar was extremely pleased with himself as he continued crafting a long-distance portkey for his new apprentice and his companion. he not only saved an extremely good seedling from the wilderness, but he might have also gained another ally against the muggle crusaders!
His slight smirk turned slightly savage as he imagined the things Lucifer would be capable of after he was done teaching him. He knew that Lucifer was special in a way he had never seen before, if his appearance wasn't enough then the aura surrounding his apprentice and his wand spoke volumes of the extraordinary quality of his first apprentice.
His eyes softened as he repeated the words in his head, 'my first apprentice huh?'
He had wished for an apprentice for years, but there simply was no aspiring witch or wizard that matched his requirements, they were all either untalented or so stuck in their light side prejudice that it would be a hopeless endeavor to try and teach them the true might of magic.
But Lucifer was different, he reeked of darkness he had never before felt! but his eyes held a clear glint of intelligence and sanity, so he had not lost himself in the allure of darkness like so many before him.
Yes, Salazar was a very happy man as he finished locking Hogsmeade as the warp destination of his portkey.
"Lord Lucifer, the portkey is ready to take us to a small village outside of my castle" Salazar called out to his apprentice who stood beside him curiously watching him craft the portkey.
"ah! arent we going to this Hogwarts you spoke of?" Lucifer tilted his head in slight confusion as he inquired.
"Patience my apprentice, we first must acquire you not only a new wardrobe to fit your new station as Lord Le Maléfique but also as my esteemed apprentice!" Salazar exclaimed with his nose raised in disdain at his apprentice´s poor state of dress.
'And I fear the endless teasing I would endure from that damned lion if I came home with an apprentice dressed like a barbarian with a lion in tow' was the unspoken words of Salazar as he felt the headache already incoming when he would introduce Lucifer to the school and somehow find a reasonable explanation of where he found him.
Salazar's headache evaporated as he imagined the complete jealousy of Godric when he saw how mighty his new apprentice was!
Lucifer shook his head in amusement as he saw how his teacher had a typical villain monologue look as he was lost in thought, but he was rather eager to get out of this damned wilderness as see the world!
So he swiftly sought out the link he shared with Shiro, sending out the command for his familiar to return.
Salazar broke out of his reverie of the masterful gloating he could unleash on the bull-headed fool when his apprentice´s familiar entered the clearing with a mighty leap, taking the beast from the other side of the clearing to right next to his apprentice.
Salazar shook his head in bafflement at his disciple's apparent luck in getting such a powerful magical beast as his familiar, his smirk only widened as he gained yet another thing to gloat about to his fellow founders!
"Come to me Lucifer, grab hold of this ribbon and keep a hand on the head of your familiar" Salazar hissed in jubilation as he instructed his apprentice to take the final step into the public eye once more.
Lucifer responded to the instructions with his signature soft smile as he reached his hand out and grabbed hold of the viridian ribbon with his long slender fingers, simultaneously keeping his left hand on top of Shiro´s soft head.
Salazar nodded in satisfaction as he met his apprentice crimson eyes and spoke the activation phrase he had set with humor dancing in his eyes
"Demon Lord"
The three figures in the clearing twisted out of existence, leaving behind the lost continent as they embarked on one of the most legendary tales in wizarding history.

Hogsmeade was one of the only all wizarding settlements in Europe, it consisted of hopeful wizards and switched seeking asylum under the strength of Hogwarts as they escaped the relentless witch hunts all over the country.
The people of Hogsmeade were a brave and happy breed of witches and wizards, as they all helped each other no longer survive but thrive in the local community.
Today was just another Sunday for many of Hogsmeade´s villagers as they bustled and hustled to complete the day's errands and meet old friends to brag about their children's progress in the esteemed institute of magic.
That monotony of a normal day was broken when three figures portkeyed into the center of the village, the normal sounds of the village silenced when an ear-bursting roar was unleashed by a horse-sized ivory lion.  every nearby villager froze as they stared in horror at the beast, and the figure standing next to it made their fear turn to slight confusion and unease as they took in the large horned figure with matching ivory hair.
"Calm down Shiro! there are no threats here!" Lucifer smacked the large head of his familiar as he chastised it for scaring everyone, this broke the fog of fear that had surrounded all the villager's hearts as they took in the strange scene of a man of such tall stature lecture such a large beast and not get his head smacked of his shoulders!
Some villagers couldn't help their amusement as they watched the previously fearsome beast now cower at the man's feet as it begged for forgiveness with its adorable large red eyes, causing many a village woman to coo at the now adorable creature.
Salazar pinched his nose at the failed grand entrance he had planned, but he was nothing if not adaptive so with a defeated sigh he led his apprentice and his beast towards Madame Grimholdt to get his apprentice´s new wardrobe.
Lucifer followed behind Salazar with a concealed snicker as he secretly gave Shiro a thumbs up at their little byplay to disarm the public towards them.
He was well aware that he was an imposing figure as he towered above everyone else, and if you add his beauty, horns, and unique features such as his eyes and hair? he could easily become an intimidating existence that would seem unapproachable. 
He wouldn't really care usually, but he would rather not have issues from the get-go in a community he was going to establish himself in. 
They soon reached a rather large establishment with a large sign with 'Madame Grimholdt´s robes for lords and ladies' written in flamboyant letters.
He arched an elegant brow as he turned towards Salazar, "you are aware that I don't have a single coin to my name right?" 
The bald wizard only smirked as he pulled out a big and said "leave such things for your master for now"
Lucifer only shook his head as he and Salazar entered the establishment, leaving Shiro outside to stand guard as his size simply wouldn't permit the beast to follow its master into the building

Lucifer exited the shop with an uncontrollable twitch in his left eye, the experience of the overbearing madame measuring his body dimensions wasn't that bad until she started cupping every single feel she could under the excuse of "I must ascertain the EXACT specifications for such an esteemed lord and apprentice of dear Salazar!"
He had never felt such humiliation and felt he could honestly relate to all those #Metoo women back on earth after that harrowing experience. 
There were moments where he was extremely tempted to grab the small witch and rip her in half, especially when she got way too into examining his infernal cheeks....
Luckily for her, the end product was brilliant enough to warrant her a pardon. the thought of the gorgeous robes she had produced was like a balm for his tarnished innocence.
Salazar had most definitely not cheaper out on his apprentice´s new wardrobe as he splurged hundreds of galleons on the best materials available and insisted on them all to be enchanted to their limits with comfort charms such as heat-regulators and self-repairing charms.
Lucifer went for a void black theme for all his robes under Salazar´s insistence, as it stood in such contrast to the devil's hair and skin and in the words of Madame Grimholdt 'made his eyes truly striking'
So Lucifer now truly looked the part of a Demon Lord with his luxurious ebony robes that he now adorned, so it was no surprise that he was met with stunned and awed looks from the surrounding villagers as the gorgeous man started petting his lion to comfort himself from the experience.
Salazar exited the shop with a prideful smirk as he observed his apprentice´s new look, clothes were an extremely important asset to showcase wealth, status, and power. 
With the robes Lucifer now wore, it would most definitely reach the criteria of any lord or noble for what a lord should wear.
"We can acquire the rest of the necessities another day my apprentice, let us depart for the castle and introduce you to the school!" Salazar almost skipped in anticipation as he leads his now well-dressed apprentice and his familiar to the castle, ready to smear it all into Godric´s baboon face that he got an apprentice first! and such an exemplary one at that!

One moment he went to sleep in the woods with a chest full of Covid... The next he wakes up in a different body, in a different world with a chest full of magic.

Even with eyes protected by the green spectacles, Dorothy and her friends were at first dazzled by the brilliancy of the wonderful City. The streets were lined with beautiful houses all built of green marble and studded everywhere with sparkling emeralds. They walked over a pavement of the same green marble, and where the blocks were joined together were rows of emeralds, set closely, and glittering in the brightness of the sun. The window panes were of green glass; even the sky above the City had a green tint, and the rays of the sun were green.
There were many people--men, women, and children--walking about, and these were all dressed in green clothes and had greenish skins. They looked at Dorothy and her strangely assorted company with wondering eyes, and the children all ran away and hid behind their mothers when they saw the Lion; but no one spoke to them. Many shops stood in the street, and Dorothy saw that everything in them was green. Green candy and green pop corn were offered for sale, as well as green shoes, green hats, and green clothes of all sorts. At one place a man was selling green lemonade, and when the children bought it Dorothy could see that they paid for it with green pennies.
There seemed to be no horses nor animals of any kind; the men carried things around in little green carts, which they pushed before them. Everyone seemed happy and contented and prosperous.
The Guardian of the Gates led them through the streets until they came to a big building, exactly in the middle of the City, which was the Palace of Oz, the Great Wizard. There was a soldier before the door, dressed in a green uniform and wearing a long green beard.
"Here are strangers," said the Guardian of the Gates to him, "and they demand to see the Great Oz."
"Step inside," answered the soldier, "and I will carry your message to him."
So they passed through the Palace Gates and were led into a big room with a green carpet and lovely green furniture set with emeralds. The soldier made them all wipe their feet upon a green mat before entering this room, and when they were seated he said politely:
"Please make yourselves comfortable while I go to the door of the Throne Room and tell Oz you are here."
They had to wait a long time before the soldier returned. When, at last, he came back, Dorothy asked:
"Have you seen Oz?"
"Oh, no," returned the soldier; "I have never seen him. But I spoke to him as he sat behind his screen and gave him your message. He said he will grant you an audience, if you so desire; but each one of you must enter his presence alone, and he will admit but one each day. Therefore, as you must remain in the Palace for several days, I will have you shown to rooms where you may rest in comfort after your journey."
"Thank you," replied the girl; "that is very kind of Oz."
The soldier now blew upon a green whistle, and at once a young girl, dressed in a pretty green silk gown, entered the room. She had lovely green hair and green eyes, and she bowed low before Dorothy as she said, "Follow me and I will show you your room."
So Dorothy said good-bye to all her friends except Toto, and taking the dog in her arms followed the green girl through seven passages and up three flights of stairs until they came to a room at the front of the Palace. It was the sweetest little room in the world, with a soft comfortable bed that had sheets of green silk and a green velvet counterpane. There was a tiny fountain in the middle of the room, that shot a spray of green perfume into the air, to fall back into a beautifully carved green marble basin. Beautiful green flowers stood in the windows, and there was a shelf with a row of little green books. When Dorothy had time to open these books she found them full of queer green pictures that made her laugh, they were so funny.
In a wardrobe were many green dresses, made of silk and satin and velvet; and all of them fitted Dorothy exactly.
"Make yourself perfectly at home," said the green girl, "and if you wish for anything ring the bell. Oz will send for you tomorrow morning."
She left Dorothy alone and went back to the others. These she also led to rooms, and each one of them found himself lodged in a very pleasant part of the Palace. Of course this politeness was wasted on the Scarecrow; for when he found himself alone in his room he stood stupidly in one spot, just within the doorway, to wait till morning. It would not rest him to lie down, and he could not close his eyes; so he remained all night staring at a little spider which was weaving its web in a corner of the room, just as if it were not one of the most wonderful rooms in the world. The Tin Woodman lay down on his bed from force of habit, for he remembered when he was made of flesh; but not being able to sleep, he passed the night moving his joints up and down to make sure they kept in good working order. The Lion would have preferred a bed of dried leaves in the forest, and did not like being shut up in a room; but he had too much sense to let this worry him, so he sprang upon the bed and rolled himself up like a cat and purred himself asleep in a minute.
The next morning, after breakfast, the green maiden came to fetch Dorothy, and she dressed her in one of the prettiest gowns, made of green brocaded satin. Dorothy put on a green silk apron and tied a green ribbon around Toto's neck, and they started for the Throne Room of the Great Oz.
First they came to a great hall in which were many ladies and gentlemen of the court, all dressed in rich costumes. These people had nothing to do but talk to each other, but they always came to wait outside the Throne Room every morning, although they were never permitted to see Oz. As Dorothy entered they looked at her curiously, and one of them whispered:
"Are you really going to look upon the face of Oz the Terrible?"
"Of course," answered the girl, "if he will see me."
"Oh, he will see you," said the soldier who had taken her message to the Wizard, "although he does not like to have people ask to see him. Indeed, at first he was angry and said I should send you back where you came from. Then he asked me what you looked like, and when I mentioned your silver shoes he was very much interested. At last I told him about the mark upon your forehead, and he decided he would admit you to his presence."
Just then a bell rang, and the green girl said to Dorothy, "That is the signal. You must go into the Throne Room alone."
She opened a little door and Dorothy walked boldly through and found herself in a wonderful place. It was a big, round room with a high arched roof, and the walls and ceiling and floor were covered with large emeralds set closely together. In the center of the roof was a great light, as bright as the sun, which made the emeralds sparkle in a wonderful manner.
But what interested Dorothy most was the big throne of green marble that stood in the middle of the room. It was shaped like a chair and sparkled with gems, as did everything else. In the center of the chair was an enormous Head, without a body to support it or any arms or legs whatever. There was no hair upon this head, but it had eyes and a nose and mouth, and was much bigger than the head of the biggest giant.
As Dorothy gazed upon this in wonder and fear, the eyes turned slowly and looked at her sharply and steadily. Then the mouth moved, and Dorothy heard a voice say:
"I am Oz, the Great and Terrible. Who are you, and why do you seek me?"
It was not such an awful voice as she had expected to come from the big Head; so she took courage and answered:
"I am Dorothy, the Small and Meek. I have come to you for help."
The eyes looked at her thoughtfully for a full minute. Then said the voice:
"Where did you get the silver shoes?"
"I got them from the Wicked Witch of the East, when my house fell on her and killed her," she replied.
"Where did you get the mark upon your forehead?" continued the voice.
"That is where the Good Witch of the North kissed me when she bade me good-bye and sent me to you," said the girl.
Again the eyes looked at her sharply, and they saw she was telling the truth. Then Oz asked, "What do you wish me to do?"
"Send me back to Kansas, where my Aunt Em and Uncle Henry are," she answered earnestly. "I don't like your country, although it is so beautiful. And I am sure Aunt Em will be dreadfully worried over my being away so long."
The eyes winked three times, and then they turned up to the ceiling and down to the floor and rolled around so queerly that they seemed to see every part of the room. And at last they looked at Dorothy again.
"Why should I do this for you?" asked Oz.
"Because you are strong and I am weak; because you are a Great Wizard and I am only a little girl."
"But you were strong enough to kill the Wicked Witch of the East," said Oz.
"That just happened," returned Dorothy simply; "I could not help it."
"Well," said the Head, "I will give you my answer. You have no right to expect me to send you back to Kansas unless you do something for me in return. In this country everyone must pay for everything he gets. If you wish me to use my magic power to send you home again you must do something for me first. Help me and I will help you."
"What must I do?" asked the girl.
"Kill the Wicked Witch of the West," answered Oz.
"But I cannot!" exclaimed Dorothy, greatly surprised.
"You killed the Witch of the East and you wear the silver shoes, which bear a powerful charm. There is now but one Wicked Witch left in all this land, and when you can tell me she is dead I will send you back to Kansas--but not before."
The little girl began to weep, she was so much disappointed; and the eyes winked again and looked upon her anxiously, as if the Great Oz felt that she could help him if she would.
"I never killed anything, willingly," she sobbed. "Even if I wanted to, how could I kill the Wicked Witch? If you, who are Great and Terrible, cannot kill her yourself, how do you expect me to do it?"
"I do not know," said the Head; "but that is my answer, and until the Wicked Witch dies you will not see your uncle and aunt again. Remember that the Witch is Wicked--tremendously Wicked--and ought to be killed. Now go, and do not ask to see me again until you have done your task."
Sorrowfully Dorothy left the Throne Room and went back where the Lion and the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman were waiting to hear what Oz had said to her. "There is no hope for me," she said sadly, "for Oz will not send me home until I have killed the Wicked Witch of the West; and that I can never do."
Her friends were sorry, but could do nothing to help her; so Dorothy went to her own room and lay down on the bed and cried herself to sleep.
The next morning the soldier with the green whiskers came to the Scarecrow and said:
"Come with me, for Oz has sent for you."
So the Scarecrow followed him and was admitted into the great Throne Room, where he saw, sitting in the emerald throne, a most lovely Lady. She was dressed in green silk gauze and wore upon her flowing green locks a crown of jewels. Growing from her shoulders were wings, gorgeous in color and so light that they fluttered if the slightest breath of air reached them.
When the Scarecrow had bowed, as prettily as his straw stuffing would let him, before this beautiful creature, she looked upon him sweetly, and said:
"I am Oz, the Great and Terrible. Who are you, and why do you seek me?"
Now the Scarecrow, who had expected to see the great Head Dorothy had told him of, was much astonished; but he answered her bravely.
"I am only a Scarecrow, stuffed with straw. Therefore I have no brains, and I come to you praying that you will put brains in my head instead of straw, so that I may become as much a man as any other in your dominions."
"Why should I do this for you?" asked the Lady.
"Because you are wise and powerful, and no one else can help me," answered the Scarecrow.
"I never grant favors without some return," said Oz; "but this much I will promise. If you will kill for me the Wicked Witch of the West, I will bestow upon you a great many brains, and such good brains that you will be the wisest man in all the Land of Oz."
"I thought you asked Dorothy to kill the Witch," said the Scarecrow, in surprise.
"So I did. I don't care who kills her. But until she is dead I will not grant your wish. Now go, and do not seek me again until you have earned the brains you so greatly desire."
The Scarecrow went sorrowfully back to his friends and told them what Oz had said; and Dorothy was surprised to find that the Great Wizard was not a Head, as she had seen him, but a lovely Lady.
"All the same," said the Scarecrow, "she needs a heart as much as the Tin Woodman."
On the next morning the soldier with the green whiskers came to the Tin Woodman and said:
"Oz has sent for you. Follow me."
So the Tin Woodman followed him and came to the great Throne Room. He did not know whether he would find Oz a lovely Lady or a Head, but he hoped it would be the lovely Lady. "For," he said to himself, "if it is the head, I am sure I shall not be given a heart, since a head has no heart of its own and therefore cannot feel for me. But if it is the lovely Lady I shall beg hard for a heart, for all ladies are themselves said to be kindly hearted."
But when the Woodman entered the great Throne Room he saw neither the Head nor the Lady, for Oz had taken the shape of a most terrible Beast. It was nearly as big as an elephant, and the green throne seemed hardly strong enough to hold its weight. The Beast had a head like that of a rhinoceros, only there were five eyes in its face. There were five long arms growing out of its body, and it also had five long, slim legs. Thick, woolly hair covered every part of it, and a more dreadful-looking monster could not be imagined. It was fortunate the Tin Woodman had no heart at that moment, for it would have beat loud and fast from terror. But being only tin, the Woodman was not at all afraid, although he was much disappointed.
"I am Oz, the Great and Terrible," spoke the Beast, in a voice that was one great roar. "Who are you, and why do you seek me?"
"I am a Woodman, and made of tin. Therefore I have no heart, and cannot love. I pray you to give me a heart that I may be as other men are."
"Why should I do this?" demanded the Beast.
"Because I ask it, and you alone can grant my request," answered the Woodman.
Oz gave a low growl at this, but said, gruffly: "If you indeed desire a heart, you must earn it."
"How?" asked the Woodman.
"Help Dorothy to kill the Wicked Witch of the West," replied the Beast. "When the Witch is dead, come to me, and I will then give you the biggest and kindest and most loving heart in all the Land of Oz."
So the Tin Woodman was forced to return sorrowfully to his friends and tell them of the terrible Beast he had seen. They all wondered greatly at the many forms the Great Wizard could take upon himself, and the Lion said:
"If he is a Beast when I go to see him, I shall roar my loudest, and so frighten him that he will grant all I ask. And if he is the lovely Lady, I shall pretend to spring upon her, and so compel her to do my bidding. And if he is the great Head, he will be at my mercy; for I will roll this head all about the room until he promises to give us what we desire. So be of good cheer, my friends, for all will yet be well."
The next morning the soldier with the green whiskers led the Lion to the great Throne Room and bade him enter the presence of Oz.
The Lion at once passed through the door, and glancing around saw, to his surprise, that before the throne was a Ball of Fire, so fierce and glowing he could scarcely bear to gaze upon it. His first thought was that Oz had by accident caught on fire and was burning up; but when he tried to go nearer, the heat was so intense that it singed his whiskers, and he crept back tremblingly to a spot nearer the door.
Then a low, quiet voice came from the Ball of Fire, and these were the words it spoke:
"I am Oz, the Great and Terrible. Who are you, and why do you seek me?"
And the Lion answered, "I am a Cowardly Lion, afraid of everything. I came to you to beg that you give me courage, so that in reality I may become the King of Beasts, as men call me."
"Why should I give you courage?" demanded Oz.
"Because of all Wizards you are the greatest, and alone have power to grant my request," answered the Lion.
The Ball of Fire burned fiercely for a time, and the voice said, "Bring me proof that the Wicked Witch is dead, and that moment I will give you courage. But as long as the Witch lives, you must remain a coward."
The Lion was angry at this speech, but could say nothing in reply, and while he stood silently gazing at the Ball of Fire it became so furiously hot that he turned tail and rushed from the room. He was glad to find his friends waiting for him, and told them of his terrible interview with the Wizard.
"What shall we do now?" asked Dorothy sadly.
"There is only one thing we can do," returned the Lion, "and that is to go to the land of the Winkies, seek out the Wicked Witch, and destroy her."
"But suppose we cannot?" said the girl.
"Then I shall never have courage," declared the Lion.
"And I shall never have brains," added the Scarecrow.
"And I shall never have a heart," spoke the Tin Woodman.
"And I shall never see Aunt Em and Uncle Henry," said Dorothy, beginning to cry.
"Be careful!" cried the green girl. "The tears will fall on your green silk gown and spot it."
So Dorothy dried her eyes and said, "I suppose we must try it; but I am sure I do not want to kill anybody, even to see Aunt Em again."
"I will go with you; but I'm too much of a coward to kill the Witch," said the Lion.
"I will go too," declared the Scarecrow; "but I shall not be of much help to you, I am such a fool."
"I haven't the heart to harm even a Witch," remarked the Tin Woodman; "but if you go I certainly shall go with you."
Therefore it was decided to start upon their journey the next morning, and the Woodman sharpened his axe on a green grindstone and had all his joints properly oiled. The Scarecrow stuffed himself with fresh straw and Dorothy put new paint on his eyes that he might see better. The green girl, who was very kind to them, filled Dorothy's basket with good things to eat, and fastened a little bell around Toto's neck with a green ribbon.
They went to bed quite early and slept soundly until daylight, when they were awakened by the crowing of a green cock that lived in the back yard of the Palace, and the cackling of a hen that had laid a green egg.

Zoya had spoken about the fast tunnel that would take them to the care house in the city and that they would reach on the day they were supposed to without missing a day or even half a day.

To explain better she spoke about the novel called, 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', which is a fantasy novel for children written by C. S. Lewis. It was published by Geoffrey Bles in 1950. It is best out of the seven novels from The Chronicles of Narnia. Among all the author's books, it is also the most widely held in libraries.  She also explained that this Chronicles of Narnia were made into 3 movies later.

 In that first book and in the first movie also, the children get into the Wardrobe and end up in a different world called Narnia. After meeting a lot of adventures, being crowned there,  they grow up and become adults.  One day they are riding their horses in that very area where they had Narnia through the wardrobe. They recognize the exact spot and slowly make their way to the fir trees to see if it was real. They pass the fir trees and enter the wardrobe and then they tumble out of the wardrobe as children.

They were children when the entered the wardrobe, went into Narnia and went through many adventures. They became adults in Narnia and then they became children again when they tumble out of the wardrobe. 

Ben had added that time for them had stood still while they were in Narnia and when they came back they were as if they had just been playing hide and seek. He remembered as he had read that book and he had even seen the movie.

Cathy had understood and said that in the same way as with the children who went and lived in Narnia for so many years, they no matter how long they stayed here, time will pass but in their own world, the time has stopped. When they reached their own place then their time will start again.

Dany thought they were all very clever as they were having an adventure of a lifetime and when they all got back it will be like they had never spent any time here.

Zen, Sunny, Cathy, Shana, Tina and Nanu nodded their heads in agreement that they only would know that they had been here. Shana added that Mono and Lilly and all the Orbs would also know. commented Shana.

Tina wanted to know if Mono and Lilly would let them visit their world once things settled down here maybe in a year's time?

"We have no objection'" replied Mono after looking at Lilly. "But your coming here next time will be with the permission who will be the head of this little group of towns. We have not given a name to our little Utopia, but we would like you to give us some suggestions."

Mono said, "We will also have to send some people to the cities above to get to know how you administer your country and your cities. We will learn and then come back to implement the same, in a shorter version, in our little place. After all, we have 5 towns and the main town is Town M. The others can be substitutes for Town/City administration and Town M can be like the capital having a local and a country type administration."

"We will need to incorporate the village areas and our industrial areas too as they produce agriculture products as well as industrial products," Lilly added.

"Yes, we will also need to learn a lot from your towns down here especially how to be more pro-environment friendly, and divert the attention of our industries towards that direction," added Luke. 

"This will be done by the appropriate authorities. But you need to protect yourself from unscrupulous people. This we will see when the time comes. Zia and I are there to help you guys, don't worry."

Lilly was keeping an eye on the children that they did not touch any of her machinery. Those machines if tampered with would give her a set back by many months. So, she was ensuring that nothing untoward happened to cause her further delay for reassembling her father from the Orb energy. She was quite apprehensive as to whether she would succeed. She had the confidence earlier but as time was passing, she was getting the jitters.

"Be careful of the wires that are hanging beside that bed!" she exclaimed as one of the kids was about to trip. "We do not want the destruction of this assembling machine."

She then asked the children to come and stand with the Orbs. 

The children obediently came over to stand with the Orbs. The Orbs were all huddled together on one side. There were a lot of them, about 175 and the additional one of Lilly's father. Now they did not need to communicate telepathically with anyone as one of them (Lilly's father) could speak. 

Lilly then spoke to her father by asking him to step to the side. His Orb was recognizable as it was off-white in color as compared to the other white Orbs.

Thereafter, the Orb of Niel came over and spoke to the rest of the 175 Orbs present. There was a lot of noise like a humming sound. The Orbs seem to be in deep conversation or perhaps it was an argument. Some seemed to be unhappy but half of them seemed to be happy.

After the discussion was over, Niel came over and hovered over Lilly. He discussed something with Lilly for quite a while about what had transpired between the rest of the Orbs and him. They both decided to talk to everyone in the group of the trekkers as well as Mono.

 He then called out to Mono, Luke, Zia, Sherpa, the 10 students as well as Lilly.   

He explained that the hypnotizing apparatus that they had been using at the Time machine areas and at the jails was made of crystals. These crystals after use were on the last leg of their life, like the batteries in a torch. They needed new crystals to be added in these 2 hypnotizers. Two crystals were needed in each hypnotizer.

What would happen if you got stuck in Time?

Zia has completed her Ph.D. in Botany and has applied for the post of lecturer/ Professor. She joins a High school as a temporary teacher and is entrusted with the task of leading a group of students on a trekking /camping expedition. 

On the way they meet a guy who seems to be a trouble maker but later, he proves to be a pillar of strength. Early morning their camp is attacked and they flee taking a different route. But they are lost.

They enter a world where people are living, in hiding, for over 250 years. Their technology is much advanced as compared to ours. Their world was initially a Utopia but now it is changing due to an oppressive ruler.

They are trapped in the time of this hidden world and want to help the people there fight against the oppressive ruler and his cronies. The oppressive ruler wants to make a number of Time Machines by using the brains of the scientists who had died in harness at the site of the experiments. 

They all decide to help the good citizens of the lost world. The huge brains are destroyed and the Orbs of the scientists escape to help the rest in their mission. 

In the process, the crystals that are used in the hypnotizing guns are almost finished and to get more they split up to go to the 'Magical World' through a curtain which is a portal. The Magical World is a flat  man made Earth-like satellite, which was made as a joke to taunt the scientists 7000 years ago, and which is still operational. Here they meet the inhabitants.  They are fascinated with the advancement of science especially the talking chips and the flying cars.They see a completely different world where animals, plants, rocks, water etc can talk. Before you touch anything you need to seek permission.

They also meet the Aliens called the 'Crocodile Race' who have come to the Magical World (the flat satellite) to get supplies. They see spaceships being guided to land by the scientists of the Magical World.

At present they are narrating to the Aliens, what they have undergone till date. 

Read on to experience their adventures, their fears, and their courage, to deal with various situations and how, after meandering through various secret passageways, encountering adventures, they finally come back to their time.

Penyihir putih juga sering disebut dengan nama Jadis adalah karakter di The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Ia berasal dari sebuah dunia yang bernama Charn. Dunia itu telah menemui akhirnya (kiamat) dan ia adalah ratu terakhir. 

Sebelumnya ia membeku di salah satu ruangan di istananya, tapi ia dibangkitkan oleh dua petualang asing yaitu Digory Kirke dan Polly Plummer. Jadis sempat masuk ke London (dunia ini) dan membuat kekacauan. Tetapi Digory dan Polly berhasil membawanya keluar dari London, keluar dari dunia ini. mereka (menggunakan cincin pemberian paman Digory, Andrew Ketterley)membawanya masuk kesebuah tanah yang gelap gulita. 

Tanah itu adalah Narnia yang belum diciptakan. Jadi ada 6 karakter yang menyaksikan penciptaan Narnia, yaitu Digory, Polly, Paman Andrew, Jadis, Frank(seorang kusir yang keretanya dibajak oleh Jadis) dan kudanya, Strawberry. Jadis terusir jauh ke utara di Ettinsmoor oleh Aslan, sang Pencipta Narnia. Di sana ia membangun Kastil dan mengumpulkan kekuatan, yang akhirnya ia kembali ke Narnia dan menaklukan seluruh dataran itu, dengan mengutuknya menjadi bersalju selama-lamanya.

Definisinya modern menyatakan bahwa sihir putih adalah untuk "melakukan" atau "membawa ke tingkat spiritual yang lebih tinggi" pencerahan atau kesadaran. 

Dia mengakui, bahwa definisi yang lebih luas (dari "tinggi" dan "rendah") menderita prasangka karena sihir rakyat yang perintah baik dapat dikatakan "rendah" sementara sihir upacara melibatkan komponen mahal atau eksklusif dapat menjawab oleh beberapa orang sebagai "keajaiban tinggi", terlepas dari niatnya.

When I saw writing prompt #167 Female Lead Teen Wolf, naturally I could not NOT write something. So here it is, Lizzy and Jonah's Love Story. Something I've wanted to explore for a long time, because it brings two really amazing characters together.

Luca's POV:

"Read.", Kai gave him a cold smile while answering his question. They all looked at us in disbelief which pissed me off, did they think we couldn't read because of where we come from? Although it sounds weird for most kids to like reading, most of us actually enjoy it, especially Lani and Kai, because it was a way to get away from the hell hole we lived in and was the only thing to do other than starve ourselves.
"Really? What are some of your favorite books?", their mom was asking us questions this time with wide eyes interested in what Kai's answer is.
He turned his head towards her and took a long pause before answering her question, "To Kill A Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Macbeth, The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe.". Although he didn't name all their favorite ones I was surprised he didn't mention Fences or Of Mice and Men, I wasn't a big reader but once Kai told me some details in the books it made me interested so I started to read them. It was interesting to see everyone at the table go wide eyed and silent for a good ten minutes, just because we grew up poor and lived in a crappy area didn't mean we couldn't read or write, and seeing all their faces made me smirk on how stupid they looked even the expressionless oldest was surprised.
"Really?", the first to speak up was Alex with his face now a little amused.
"Yes, sir.", making the words come out a little vile from Kai's lips. "Although we have a 'poor' background it doesn't mean we can't read and write. We're not dumb."
"Well it's hard to tell when you're wearing shitbags for clothes and smell like ass.", I turned my head away from Alex and looked straight at the asshole sitting in front of me. "So how the hell were we supposed to know that you had the basic education when you look and smell like that? I mean look at this kid across from me, he looks like he rolled in dirt and then jumped in a pile of shit. The girl next to him-", he didn't get to finish that sentence because right when he pointed at Lani I stood and punched him hard enough to make him hit the door window from behind. He stood up quick and walked around the table throwing a punch that would have really hurt but being with Ryan all those years and finding ways to gain money made me a great fighter so when he tried to punch me I avoided it and punched him in the gut. Dropping to the ground and grabbing his stomach I was about to knee him in the face when the big guy grabbed my arms putting them behind my back while kicking my knees to make me fall to the ground with him holding my arms. Kai came up behind him and pushed him away helping me stand up, ready to fight anyone that was trying to get back at me for punching the asshole on the ground.
"Enough!", a cold and stern voice called out belonging to their dad. Silas was helping the asshole up while Kai was holding me back from trying not to break one of his bones, he was a rational fighter most of the time so when he found that the fight was over he stopped and tried to calm me down. "We don't tolerate fighting inside the house!", he was looking straight at me, "If you're going to live in this house under our roof then you need to follow the rules like everyone else. When five siblings get adopted by a new family they find things to be different. These kids have been through hell just trying to get away from the agency and moving in with a new family every two months. So moving in with this couple that already has four other older boys doesn’t sound to pleasing, but they need something from the agency before they can leave and this family is the key to getting it.

Once Once upon a time there was a brave and funny girl called Beth Raymond. She was on the way to see her mom Heather Blackman, when she decided to take a short cut through Gurglebridge.
It wasn't long before Beth got lost. She looked around, but all she could see were trees. Nervously, she felt into her bag for her favourite toy, Blankey, but Blankey was nowhere to be found! Beth began to panic. She felt sure she had packed Blankey. To make matters worse, she was starting to feel hungry.
Unexpectedly, she saw a fierce lion dressed in a red skirt disappearing into the trees.
"How odd!" thought Beth.
For the want of anything better to do, she decided to follow the peculiarly dressed lion. Perhaps it could tell him the way out of the forest.
Eventually, Beth reached a clearing. In the clearing were three houses, one made from watermelon, one made from muffins and one made from pizzas.
Beth could feel her tummy rumbling. Looking at the houses did nothing to ease her hunger.
"Hello!" she called. "Is anybody there?"
Nobody replied.
Beth looked at the roof on the closest house and wondered if it would be rude to eat somebody else's chimney. Obviously it would be impolite to eat a whole house, but perhaps it would be considered acceptable to nibble the odd fixture or lick the odd fitting, in a time of need.
A cackle broke through the air, giving Beth a fright. A witch jumped into the space in front of the houses. She was carrying a cage. In that cage was Blankey!
"Blankey!" shouted Beth. She turned to the witch. "That's my toy!"
The witch just shrugged.
"Give Blankey back!" cried Beth.
"Not on your nelly!" said the witch.
"At least let Blankey out of that cage!"
Before she could reply, two fierce lions rushed in from a footpath on the other side of the clearing. Beth recognised the one in the red skirt that she'd seen earlier. The witch seemed to recognise him too.
"Hello Big Lion," said the witch.
"Good morning." The lion noticed Blankey. "Who is this?"
"That's Blankey," explained the witch.
"Ooh! Blankey would look lovely in my house. Give it to me!" demanded the lion.
The witch shook her head. "Blankey is staying with me."
"Um... Excuse me..." Beth interrupted. "Blankey lives with me! And not in a cage!"
Big Lion ignored her. "Is there nothing you'll trade?" he asked the witch.
The witch thought for a moment, then said, "I do like to be entertained. I'll release him to anybody who can eat a whole front door."
Big Lion looked at the house made from pizzas and said, "No problem, I could eat an entire house made from pizzas if I wanted to."
"That's nothing," said the next lion. "I could eat two houses."
"There's no need to show off," said the witch. Just eat one front door and I'll let you have Blankey."
Beth watched, feeling very worried. She didn't want the witch to give Blankey to Big Lion. She didn't think Blankey would like living with a fierce lion, away from her house and all her other toys.
The other one lions watched while Big Lion put on his bib and withdrew a knife and fork from his pocket.
"I'll eat this whole house," said Big Lion. "Just you watch!"
Big Lion pulled off a corner of the front door of the house made from muffins. He gulped it down smiling, and went back for more.
   And more.
      And more.
Eventually, Big Lion started to get bigger - just a little bit bigger at first. But after a few more fork-fulls of muffins, he grew to the size of a large snowball - and he was every bit as round.
"Erm... I don't feel too good," said Big Lion.
Suddenly, he started to roll. He'd grown so round that he could no longer balance!
"Help!" he cried, as he rolled off down a slope into the forest.
Big Lion never finished eating the front door made from muffins and Blankey remained trapped in the witch's cage.
Average Lion stepped up, and approached the house made from pizzas.
"I'll eat this whole house," said Average Lion. "Just you watch!"
Average Lion pulled off a corner of the front door of the house made from pizzas. She gulped it down smiling, and went back for more.
   And more.
      And more.
After a while, Average Lion started to look a little queasy. She grew greener...
   ...and greener.
A woodcutter walked into the clearing. "What's this bush doing here?" he asked.
"I'm not a bush, I'm a lion!" said Average Lion.
"It talks!" exclaimed the woodcutter. "Those talking bushes are the worst kind. I'd better take it away before somebody gets hurt."
"No! Wait!" cried Average Lion, as the woodcutter picked her up. But the woodcutter ignored her cries and carried the lion away under his arm.
Average Lion never finished eating the front door made from pizzas and Blankey remained trapped in the witch's cage.
"That's it," said the witch. "I win. I get to keep Blankey."
"Not so fast," said Beth. "There is still one front door to go. The front door of the house made from watermelon. And I haven't had a turn yet.
"I don't have to give you a turn!" laughed the witch. "My game. My rules."
The woodcutter's voice carried through the forest. "I think you should give her a chance. It's only fair."
"Fine," said the witch. "But you saw what happened to the lions. She won't last long."
"I'll be right back," said Beth.
"What?" said the witch. "Where's your sense of impatience? I thought you wanted Blankey back."
Beth ignored the witch and gathered a hefty pile of sticks. She came back to the clearing and started a small camp fire. Carefully, she broke off a piece of the door of the house made from watermelon and toasted it over the fire. Once it had cooked and cooled just a little, she took a bite. She quickly devoured the whole piece.
Beth sat down on a nearby log.
"You fail!" cackled the witch. "You were supposed to eat the whole door."
"I haven't finished," explained Beth. "I am just waiting for my food to go down."
When Beth's food had digested, she broke off another piece of the door made from watermelon. Once more, she toasted her food over the fire and waited for it to cool just a little. She ate it at a leisurely pace then waited for it to digest.
Eventually, after several sittings, Beth was down to the final piece of the door made from watermelon. Carefully, she toasted it and allowed it to cool just a little. She finished her final course. Beth had eaten the entire front door of the house made from watermelon.
The witch stamped her foot angrily. "You must have tricked me!" she said. "I don't reward cheating!"
"I don't think so!" said a voice. It was the woodcutter. He walked back into the clearing, carrying his axe. "This little girl won fair and square. Now hand over Blankey or I will chop your broomstick in half."
The witch looked horrified. She grabbed her broomstick and placed it behind her. Then, huffing, she opened the door of the cage.
Beth hurried over and grabbed Blankey, checking that her favourite toy was all right. Fortunately, Blankey was unharmed.
Beth thanked the woodcutter, grabbed a quick souvenir, and hurried on to meet Heather. It was starting to get dark.
When Beth got to Heather's house, her mom threw her arms around her.
"I was so worried!" cried Heather. "You are very late."
As Beth described her day, she could tell that Heather didn't believe her. So she grabbed a napkin from her pocket.
"What's that?" asked Heather.
Beth unwrapped a doorknob made from muffins. "Pudding!" she said.
Heather almost fell off her chair.
