Rebooted as "Harry Potter Transmigration"


An 18 years old boy has just finished reading what he found as the most annoying series of books ever: the Harry Potter Series. There were two reasons for his annoyance with the series.

One: our MC was also named Harry Potter and he was greatly teased by it.

Two: the main characters in the books were seriously underdeveloped.

"I mean come on, an average guy defeats the most powerful evil wizard alive? Who are you kidding?"

P.S. I do not own Harry Potter. This is purely fan-fiction.

It's 2 am in the morning and i feel tired but i can't sleep,I actually have insomnia i started having insomnia at the age 13.I don't really know what could have caused it.I sat up from my bed and looked at the clock on my desk 3 am.I have been thinking for an hour about my insomnia?well it sometimes happen that i zone out.I got up from my bed and went to my closet i got my usual cloths out and got dressed.I went to the kitchen to get a midnight snack,I decided on a small cereal bar,i walked slowly to the living room and sat on the couch and turned on the tv.I watched Pokemon on the tv for a while until i heard someone walking to the living room.I looked behind me and saw my sister Suki she was also suffering from insomnia.
"Hey sis"I said"Hey LW"she responded the name LW stands for little wolf she heard that name in a series she watched i don't know the name of the series but i know she really like the name so she started calling me Little wolf for while and then got stuck to calling me LW."So what are you watching?"She asked "Pokemon"i responded"You still watch that show?"She asked"if you want to watch the tv here you go"i say tossing her the remote"i saw this episode a 100 times already"i say to her standing up from the couch"Cool thanks LW"She said turning the tv onto one of her favorite shows.I walked to my room and got my laptop out and started watching BNHA because god it's a cool anime.after watching the 5th episode of the 3 season i look at the clock on the desk and saw that it's 5 am.I stand up going to the small bookshelf in my room and look at my books 'let's see what should i read'

I finished the philosophers stone so i guess i'll go eat. i look at the clock on my desk and see it's 7 am.I Went to the kitchen making some pancakes for Yokai and Suki as i finish making the pancakes and putting them on three plates Yokai comes in he sat down at the table and started eating,i walk to the living room and see Suki is still watching her show."Hey Sis breakfast is ready"i say leaning against the wall she looks at me with bags under her eyes and she smiles"Thanks LW"She responds sitting up we both walk to the kitchen Suki sits at the table and starts eating,I grab my plate of pancakes pour some syrup on them and going to my room to watch more anime.As i walked in my room i turned on my laptop and decided that i'll watch wolf rain it's a cool anime.

As Yuki walked in her room i quickly finished my pancakes."Hey i'll feed the animal k?"Yokai said i flinched when he started speaking but i calmed down quite quickly.I walked to my room thinking about Yuki she is too young to have insomnia She is only 15 years old.I started having insomnia at the age 18 but she?She got insomnia at the age of 13 that's a really young age.I'm worried about her she has quite visible bags under her eye.I should stop worrying she'll be fine she is strong for her age.I walk to the bookshelf in my room but not before looking at the clock on the desk my laptop is on.It read 9 am so i guess i'll read a book let's see the options

So, I was just checking out the symbolic meanings of various animals in order to decide the animagus form of the protagonist of my story (SPOILER, Yes, He will have an animagus transformation.). While scrolling through the list, I came across the Stag, the animagus form of James Potter, it's symbolic meaning matched accurately with the character of James Potter as portrayed in the book. Getting curious, I searched for all the known characters of importance in the series and came across the fact that,


J.K. Rowling absolutely loves symbolism and absolutely hates the Shakespeare's popular phrase, 'What's in the name?'.


Some of you may know this, but then again, some of you may not. Anyway, I felt surprised on discovering this trivia on my own and felt like sharing it. I'm listing some of them here; you can find more about your favorite character on your own.

1) James Potter

James- That Supplants.

Animagus- Stag

Symbolic meaning- Protector, Fatherhood, Grace, Wisdom.

2) Lily Potter

Lily, in flower language, means devotion, purity, sensitiveness, gentleness, passion, and drive.

Patronus- Doe

Symbolic meaning- Love, Kindness.

3) Petunia Dursley

Petunia, in flower language, symbolizes anger and resentment especially when they are presented by someone with whom you have recently had a heated disagreement. They can also symbolize your desire to spend time with someone because you find their company soothing and peaceful.

In the sixth movie, Petunia has a conversation with Harry. She tells him that, "You were not only one who lost someone that day. I lost my sister too." Along these lines.

4) Sirius Black

Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, the Dog star, depicts the role of Sirius in the life of Harry, an orphan deprived of familial love, perfectly.

Animagus form- Dog

No need to specify. Everyone knows.

5) Remus Lupin

Remus- mythological character raised by wolves

Lupin- Latin for Wolf.

Werewolf and Wolf patronus- 

Wolf is a symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit. Wolf has the ability to make quick and firm emotional attachments, and often need to trust their own instincts.

6)Minerva McGonagall

Minerva- Roman goddess of wisdom and war.

Animagus- Cat

Cats are symbols of mystery and magic, but also unpredictability and even healing.

Minerva is unpredictable in the books. 

7) Severus Snape

Severus- Severe

Nicknamed as – Overgrown Bat

Bats represent the perception of things that others cannot see. Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new. They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning.

Sometimes, they are known as the "Guardian of the Night."

Depicts actions of Severus Snape since book 1 in regards to Harry. Protector in the dark.

Patronus- Doe- As mentioned above, Doe symbolize Love and Devotion.

Everytime I see Snape, I can't help but recall the scene between Dumbledoor and Snape with regards to Harry being the last horcrux and his need to die. Probably the most impactful scene in the complete movie series.

8) Dolores Umbridge- 

Dolores- means pain and grief in Spanish. Enough said.

9) Bellatrix Lestrange-

Bellatrix, star in Orion constellation, means Warrior. Bellatrix was among the best under Voldemort.

10)Narcissa Malfoy

Narcissa, derived from a flower, Narcissus, means Pride in flower language.

11) Ronald Weasley-

Ronald- Meaning: "advice", "decision" + "ruler"

12) Alice Longbottom

From what I recall from the books, of the two, Alice and Frank, Alice was the more responsive one. She could move a little but seemed lost in her own world. Probably a play on her name, as in Alice from the famous story, 'Alice in the Wonderland'.

13) Harry Potter and Tom Marvolo Riddle

The main protagonist and the main antagonist of the series are the only exceptions I could find from the popular book series. 

Both were extremely common names of their respective times but their bearers were anything but common.

Harry, as mention multiple times in the books, wanted to be 'Just Harry', i.e. normal. Probably, due to his upbringing at the Dursley's. But, he was anything but normal. After all, he WAS the protagonist.
Tom, on the other hand, wanted to be anything, but normal.

If you consider the complete book series, J.K. Rowling has drawn parallels between Harry and Tom throughout the series, showing disturbing similarities between their upbringings, while at the same time showing equally contrasting differences between their ideals.

Perhaps that's the reason for the overwhelming popularity of the book series. Seems plain on the surface, but unveils unexpected surprises the deeper you look.

As a novice author, I hope to someday reach that level.

I wake up as my phone vibrates and find myself in the middle of a mess I created with my scrapbooking stuffs. I look for my phone around but in this sleepy mood in the of this mess it's hard to find it. So rather I go to freshen up. I can find my phone later. It's probably a message because I have my ringtone on. And usually it vibrates only when I get a text or notification. 

I get dressed in my usual clothes. A jean and a high neck white t-shirt. I try to clean up the mess a bit in order to find my phone and I find it under the designed papers. I open it to see who texted or what the notification is but rather I see the time and close the phone. I'm super late already. I just have 10 minutes left for class. Hurriedly I take my bag which should be filled with my necessities since I didn't take anything out. I lock my doors and get downstairs only to find my cycle missing. Suddenly I fill panic arising in me. Did I lose it? 

That's when it hits me that I left it in Evylnn's shop last night. I'll have to get it tomorrow. I sigh and start to walk. If I call a cab now it will take too long and also the distance from my house to College isn't a distance worth taking a cab. 

I'm almost running to the class breathless when I bump into Joe. He grins. 
"Why do you look like you just finished running a marathon?" he laughs. 

"It's a short story but too long for now," I say. "Come on, we're getting late for class." I take a grip of his hand and am about to run when he stops me. 

"Clam down girl!" he smiles, "The class has been postponed. So rest here for a moment." He grins, "You don't need to run another marathon now." 

I roll my eyes, "It's not funny." Once I'm back to normal with my breathings I say, "Come let's get going." 

I start to walk and he catches up. 

"So why's the class been postponed?" I look at him. 

"Classes not class. And I don't know," he smiles, "Probably some issues in the administration." 

"And why are you so happy about that?" I ask groan. 

"Because I don't have to attend any classes today," he shurgs. 

"Yeah, but you had to wake up early in the morning and come all the way here just to listen there was no need of all that. Isn't that pissing you off?" 

"No, I'm trying to look at the positive part only." 

"You are too optimistic even in this time of the day." 

"Now let's check the negative side of this. We'll have to do this classes tomorrow after our regular class," he makes a sad face.

I groan. "Ugh! I am feeling more angry now." 

"I wanna throw everything right now. I had to run all the way to college only to find out I have to do make-up classes tomorrow as my todays class has been postponed! Urgghhhh!" I let out my frustration. 

"Clam down !" he laughs. "I get it you are in shock right now." I glare at him angrily. 

"Leave all this. Are you busy now?" I ask. 

"No." "Why?" he asks.

"Let's go and grab something to eat," I say. "I'm really hungry!" I add, "Also if we have make-up classes tomorrow, then we won't be able to go for lunch." 

"Okay, let's go." He asks, "Where do we go though?"

"Anywhere," I shrug. 

"I know a amazing coffee shop nearby," he smiles, "It's my favorite in here till now. Wanna go there?" 

"Sure," I smile, "Why the hell not?" 

We go there walking as the distance is not much. And also because that way we can talk more. Though it doesn't take us long to get there. Maybe ten minutes at highest. 

"Coffee Day" - the sign reads. Okay, so I've basically heard of this place before. It's the most favorite hangout place for students of our college. But I never came here though. And there's only one reason for that- I didn't have any friends unlike the others. But now I do and so I'm here as well. 

Getting inside we take a corner sit near the glass walls. You can see out through them but it's kinda blurry. 

"What do you want to order?" Joe asks as a waiter places the menu cards in the table. "They serve the best waffles in the town," he states, "I'm going to have the them only." 

"And I think I am going to trust your choice today," I say taking a look at the menu card, "I'm too confused to choose. And also I've never been here so technically you'll know better than me about what's good here." 

"Why haven't you been here before?" he raises his brows and asks after motioning for an waiter to come and get our order,"I thought everyone in our college loved this place." 

"Yeah, they do." 

"Then why don't you?" 

"It's not like that, it's just before today I haven't had a friend to come here with and also lack of time is a reason," I exclaim and then stop as a waiter comes to take our order. 

"Two waffles. One Cream and chocolate," he orders his and then looks at me questioningly.

"Cocoa toffee," I order mine.

"And I'd like to have a Chocolate shake as well," he says and looks at me again.

"A cold coffee for me," I say. That's the most common thing I drink.

Once the waiter leaves he asks, "Do you like reading story books?"

"I love reading," I smile.

"What's your favorite series?" he asks.

"Harry Potter series," I say in an instant. It has to be the Harry Potter series.

"After all this time?" he tries imitating Dumbledore.

"Always," I try to pretend like Snape and then we both burst into laughter.

"Harry Potter is a classic!" he says, "I don't get it how people can dislike it."
"You know, a few days ago, I used a Harry Potter reference and the guy was like 'I'm to cool to use or understand a Harry Potter reference' ".

"Cool my foot," he says angrily making me laugh.

"What's so funny?" he asks.

"You," I say. "You look like a kid when you are angry."

He makes a blank face as I say.

"That's really mean of you," he says and I shrug. By that time the waiter arrives with the order and we dig in. 

By the end of breakfast, we both know each other better than anyone else. Throughout the meal we talked more and ate less - thanks to that for making us food friends. Joe is a funny guy and he not only has a nerdy look but he's actually nerdy. And I'm not saying it in a bad way. It's of course good! Also Joe is a good listener. But he's a bit hot headed, which is something we have in common. 

What else we have in common? We both love reading books. We are both Potter heads. And yeah, we both share the same sun sign; Leo.

Except for that we are quite opposite, for an instance - I love music and he hates it. 

Bidding him bye I catch a metro to my office. Since I have a lot of free time this morning, I decided that I'll go to office early and get my work done to lessen the work pressure for tomorrow. 

Unlike the other days today everyone finds me super cheerful and happy - at least in my definition I'm super happy today. I'm smiling and even saying 'hi' to people! Can you believe that? I can't though. 

I take out my files and laptop and start working on them. I am working but it's not much fun to work alone here. I guess I'm habituated with having Ben talk constantly when I'm here. I look at the time. Still 2 more hours to go. I sigh and try to concentrate on my work. 

Once I'm engrossed in my work, I don't even notice when the time passed. I look around feeling a presence around me. I look up from the laptop screen and find Ben putting his necessities in his table. 

"Hi," I beam. 

"Hey," he give a small nod. 

Something is wrong. I'm saying, something is super wrong. This is not how Ben behaves. Not smiling and blabbering, neither teasing me, he didn't even ask about what's going on in my life - this can't be Ben. I reject to believe that this is Ben! 

Okay maybe I'm over reacting but everything I am saying is true. 

Seeing him not initiate the conversation, I try to converse. "What's -" I try saying but he's gone into boss's office. Great! Maybe he's some urgent work? We'll talk later. 

I start focusing on my work again. One he's back he doesn't even spare me a look and just start working making me sigh again. 

I too start working on my projects but can't focus on in completely. Ben's my best friend, my only best friend. And I can't even understand what I did to piss him off like this. 

"Bye," I smile as he's leaving once our work time is over and he just nods. 

What's wrong with him? He didn't talk with me today. He didn't ask me how I was. He didn't even wait for me to leave the office inspite of a the fact that we leave office together. 

But whatever. Just whatever. If he can show attitude then so can I!

Harry's life consisted of a series of unlikely events. Faced with basilisks, Dark Lords, and killing curses, the only certainty to be had was that he would never be normal. So while Harry had dared to hope that once Voldemort was defeated, peace would follow, it was inevitable that the opposite turned out to be the case.

The idea of Pureblood Superiority did not die alongside Voldemort. The Death Eaters remained in control of the Ministry and, in the chaos following the Dark Lord's defeat, managed to free those who had been captured during the battle at Hogwarts. They quickly made their power felt, passing dozens of laws supporting purebloods and suppressing Muggle rights. The Death Eater regime met with little resistance from the public; their bigoted beliefs were popular and had gained legitimacy over the previous year. Those who would have protested had already been silenced. Only a handful of witches and wizards joined the Order in fighting back, but those who did were vilified, hunted down and even killed by the Ministry.

Harry, his friends, the DA, and the Order found themselves alone in their fight against an entire society. There was simply no way for them to win; for three years after Voldemort's death they continued their futile struggle, losing too many good people with nothing to show for it. The Death Eaters' control over the Ministry was unshakeable, Hogwarts was a school for the Dark Arts, and there were only a handful of Muggleborns in Britain left alive.

After the capture and execution of eleven Order members, among them Neville Longbottom and George Weasley, the small group of survivors finally admitted to themselves what had been obvious for years - they had lost the war. The remaining Order and DA members, along with their families, decided to leave Britain and restart their lives far away from the memories of death and bloodshed. They scattered across the globe, no more than a handful going to any one place as a precaution against their locations being discovered. Seamus, Dean and Ginny picked Canada; Andromeda took Teddy and moved to Romania with Charlie Weasley (a pairing which raised a few eyebrows); and Arthur and Molly decided to travel to Brazil for a second honeymoon and to recover from losing yet another of their sons. Eventually Harry, Hermione and Ron were the only ones left on British soil.

"Sure you don't want to come with us, mate?" Ron asked again. "Maybe you and Ginny could-"

"No, Ron." Harry shook his head. His relationship with Ginny was over for good and while he would miss Ron and Hermione, he was firm on not going to Australia with them to join the search for Hermione's parents.

"I just don't get why not," Ron said.

"It's not too late to change your mind, you know," Hermione added.

Harry sighed. "I told you. The Death Eaters won't stop hunting me and I don't want my presence putting you two in danger." That wasn't his only reason, but it was the one he thought they'd accept.

"Oh Harry!" Hermione lunged forward and smothered him in a hug. "You never change, do you?"

"Well, I'm taller than when we first met," Harry joked as he hugged her back.

Ron snorted. "Not by much. You're still a midget compared to me."

The three friends grinned at each other. The nature of their friendship may have changed over the years - an inevitable result of fighting a war and Ron and Hermione starting a relationship - but some things stayed the same.

"Take care of yourself, Harry," Hermione said fretfully, no doubt picturing all the trouble Harry could get into if left to his own devices. "Oh dear, maybe we should stay…"

Ron groaned and rolled his eyes. "Here we go again."

"I'll be fine," Harry said. "You should go, Hermione. Find your parents, settle down, marry Ron and have a dozen red-haired children."

"Well if you insist…" Hermione gave him a wobbly smile and dried her eyes. "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you, too," Harry said. "Good luck, both of you. Name your first son after me, yeah?"

Ron clapped Harry on the shoulder. "That's a promise, mate."

Moments later Ron and Hermione disapparated, leaving Harry standing alone in the entrance hall of the Order headquarters.

If he were brutally honest with himself, Harry knew there was nothing left for him here in Britain. Yet he couldn't bring himself to leave it all behind. How had it come to this? How had everything gone wrong? How had he fulfilled the Prophecy, but lost the war? He obsessed over every wrong decision and missed opportunity, trying to find answers.

Surely he or Dumbledore or someone could have chosen a different path and prevented such a terrible outcome. Surely there was something he could still do, some way to keep fighting, some strategy he'd overlooked. That was the real reason Harry had decided not to join his friends - for him the war wasn't over yet. He simply couldn't imagine happily living his life somewhere far away, complete with a wife, children and a white picket fence, while Voldemort's followers ruled Britain.

Instead he had decided to stay in Grimmauld Place and to wait for any chance of bringing down the Ministry. His self-imposed isolation was mostly spent practicing spells he found in the Black library and drinking too much – while always hearing Hermione's voice in his head nagging him to put down the firewhisky and sober up. The loneliness and sheer tedium were almost too much to take, but forays into the muggle world kept him sane and gave him a sense of purpose. That was one thing he could still do – save as many Muggleborns as possible.

He kept watch for any rumours of magic and occasionally managed to find young children who had yet to be identified and arrested by Snatchers for the ludicrous crime of 'stealing magic'. Harry visited the families and got them out of the country, either through honest persuasion or the use of compulsion spells. Each life saved renewed his determination to stay.

The news he managed to get from stolen copies of the Daily Prophet suggested that the Ministry had abandoned its search for the so-called criminal Order members. The bounty on Harry's head was cut in half and then halved again, with the Death Eaters seemingly deciding that he was no longer important. Harry even began entertaining the idea that he might manage to survive long enough to see Ron, Hermione and his other friends again one day.

Which was what made the attack, when it came, so very unexpected.

Harry didn't know who killed him. All he heard was a voice crying out "Avada Kedavra" while his back was turned, not giving him enough time to even draw the Elder Wand from his pocket. Nor did he have any idea how his attacker had found him as travelled in the crowded Muggle underground. The truth behind his murder would have to remain yet another unsolved mystery it seemed, as upon opening his eyes he found himself lying flat on his back in the middle of a ghostly Kings Cross Station. He was dead - again.

Harry scrambled to his feet and cautiously looked around. Thick fog swirled through the platform, making it hard to see anything, but after a while he spotted a small figure approaching through the white mist. It wasn't Dumbledore this time, perhaps because Harry - unfairly or otherwise - blamed most of the war's disastrous outcome on his old Headmaster. Instead he found himself faced with an over-excited House-Elf.

"Oh Harry Potter, sir! You has arrived!" Dobby exclaimed loudly, his voice echoing along the empty platform. "Dobby is so glad to be seeing the great and noble Harry Potter once again!"

"Er… hello, Dobby," Harry said, staring down at the small being he hadn't seen in over three years. The elf was just as he remembered him, wearing mismatched socks, a yellow and purple striped scarf around his neck, and a bright red tea-cosy as a hat. Overwhelmed with affection for the odd being, Harry knelt down on the hard tiled floor and hugged him. "Thanks, Dobby," Harry said. "Thank you so much for everything."

"No need to be thanking Dobby, Harry Potter sir!" The elf's ears flapped wildly as he bounced on his toes. "Dobby is proud of having protected sir and his Grangy and Wheezy."

Harry slowly stood back up. "You're a great friend, Dobby."

Death seemed to have calmed the elf somewhat, since Harry's words didn't cause him to burst into tears of happiness. His already manic smile became even wider and his bouncing more energetic, but he otherwise contained himself. "Dobby is not having much time, Harry Potter! Dobby must be giving you a message before you is leaving."

Harry frowned. "I suppose that means I'm still not completely dead then." It was ridiculous - he'd been hit by three killing curses in his short twenty-something years of life and not a one of them had worked. Not that Harry wanted to die, of course, but he didn't like there being yet another reason for him to be considered a freak. If this was the consequence of mastering all three Hallows, Harry wished he had destroyed the things while he'd had the chance.

"Harry Potter's mind is being very much alive," Dobby told him, "but Harry Potter's body is most dead. The bad wizard is chanting nasty spells and burning it."

"Huh." Harry puzzled over Dobby's words. "They seem to have learned something from the last time, then. Does that mean I can't go back? Not that I'd be likely to live long, what with the bounty on my head and everything, but I'd like to spend more time with my friends…"

"Harry Potter cannot go back, but he cannot yet go on," Dobby said. "Harry Potter must go to a new world, where he can die properly!"

Harry was overwhelmed by what he was hearing, but understood enough to be angry at the injustice of it all. "What? Are you honestly telling me I have to be killed all over again! I've already died twice, isn't that enough?"

"Not killed!" Dobby's tennis-ball eyes grew even wider. "Never killed. Dobby is wanting Harry Potter to be safe and happy and wrinkled!"

"Wrinkled? You mean old?"

Dobby nodded enthusiastically. "Very wrinkled!"

"Well, dying of old age doesn't sound like such a bad plan," Harry said slowly, needing time to adjust to the idea. He had long ago been forced to give up such hopes, with his lightning bolt scar meaning he might as well have had a bulls-eye painted on his forehead. "But what's this about a new world? Sounds dodgy."

Dobby looked hesitant all of a sudden.

"Yes?" Harry prompted, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. Considering that Dobby's idea of a good plan involved Harry's near expulsion from Hogwarts and a fifty foot drop after being knocked off a broom, any hint of caution from the elf had to be a very bad sign.

"It is being another world, Harry Potter sir, one without the great Harry Potter in it!"

"Why, what happened to me?" Harry had heard Hermione debate the existence of alternate worlds on occasion, but he'd never believed there could actually be other versions of him running around. It was a disconcerting idea and one Harry wasn't too pleased to find out was true. It meant there could be countless Harrys in innumerable worlds - he wondered if they all suffered from the same bad luck as he did.

"Harry Potter is being killed in a car crash when he is being five years old, Harry Potter sir," Dobby informed him, a sad look on his pointy face. Then he brightened up considerably. "But no Harry Potter means that Harry Potter sir can join world and live there instead!"

Apparently the Potter luck really was inescapable. Harry found it tragically ironic that his counterpart had died from what he'd grown up thinking had killed his parents. "So I'm supposed to take the place of a young me?" Harry asked after working out who all the Harry Potters mentioned were.

"Oh no, only if sir is wishing it," Dobby said. "Time is moving slower there, so Harry Potter sir is being ten years old when he arrives – as old as Harry Potter is being if he had lived - and can become anybody he wishes. No one is suspecting sir, since other Harry Potter is dying many years before."

"So I'll be starting Hogwarts and everything, but I don't actually have to tell people I'm Harry Potter," Harry checked. Dobby nodded eagerly, clasping his bony hands together in delight. "Back to the year nineteen ninety one, a proper fresh start…" Harry couldn't help but be tempted by the prospect. "No more Boy-Who-Lived or Undesirable Number One…"

"Then Harry Potter is accepting?"

Harry frowned and held up a hand to stop Dobby saying anything more. "Hang on a moment. If I can accept, doesn't that mean I can decline?"

"If Harry Potter is saying no then he is staying as a ghost forever and ever and ever!" Dobby looked distraught at the very idea. "Harry Potter sir is never going Onwards, never going on his next great adventure!"

"Oh," Harry said. The thought of never joining all those who had died – his friends, family, Sirius – was a most unwelcome one. No matter how unsure he felt over travelling to a strange and unfamiliar world, he knew it had to be the better choice. "There has to be some catch, though. I mean, what's wrong with the world I'll be sent to? I'm sure there's something."

"It is being similar to sir's old world. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is still lurking and Professor Trelawney is still telling future, but Harry Potter will also be seeing many differences. Dobby is not allowed to tell, Dobby must be keeping secrets. Dobby is sorry!"

"That's all right," Harry said hurriedly, seeing that the elf was on the verge of busting into tears. He might not know exactly what mess he'd just got himself into, but he'd figure things out as he always did. "At least I know for sure it's not all going to be sunshine and roses. It'll give me a chance to prepare."

"So Harry Potter sir is saying yes?" Dobby nervously fiddled with the ends of his multi-coloured scarf. "Harry Potter must hurry, almost being no time left to decide."

"Well… all right, I suppose I'll accept," Harry said after a long pause. He'd wanted a chance to win the war and a new world would give him that – there was nothing left for him here. "So long as you promise me that the next time I die, I'll stay dead."

The elf nodded solemnly. "Dobby is promising."

"Well then, I suppose this is good bye for now." Harry smiled down at his small friend. "Take care of yourself, Dobby."

"Good bye, Harry Potter," Dobby said, and snapped his fingers. With a loud crack that echoed down the empty platform, Harry disappeared. His last thought was that Dumbledore had been right about one thing - death really was the next great adventure.

Harry potter is my evergreen favourite. When I was studying 5th standard my uncle brought the CD of harry potter and no one from our family liked to watch. He was so disappointed and he made me sit with him to watch the series daily after I came from school. Initially I literally hated Harry potter because of my uncle's torture and slowly I too started to watch. I watched 'Harry potter and chambers of secret' is first movie watched in that series and for me that is the first part of series even I know 'Harry potter and sorcerous stone' is the first part among the series. 

Slowly I was too interested, you can say addicted to watch that movie again and again that the CD stopped working because of many scratches one due to repeated playing. That is the time I stopped watching but started to act like harry potter. 

In our group, Kavin is Hermione, Navya is Ron and I am Harry potter and Abi is Dumbledore, role of us get changed such that sometime I act as Hermione and Navya as Harry and Kavin as Ron but Abi always play as Dumbledore and he also fights that he wanted to play as Harry, but it never happened. 

We all will take the broom stick considering that as Magic wand and play with it and get lot of scolding from my mother and Kavin's mother to damage the broomstick. And we have competition that who will memorise maximum number of Harry potter spell's and my always favourite is 'Riddikulus' which is easy to say and also due to purpose of the spell. 

Abi will be the winner always in the competition followed by Kavin, Me and Navya. Navya as drama queen, she never accepts that she is last and used to fight and throw lot of tantrum, she is still the same till now. 

"oiii, Hello come to earth" Manik tapped my shoulder to bring me back to present. 

While the movie is playing, we heard a sound 'Riddikulus' and later I realized it was me who shouted the spell. I tried to control a lot but I started to speak the dialogue with characters in the movie mostly dialogues of Harry and later Navya and Abi too joined me. First Fab5 gave us weird 'Are-you-3-losted' look, but we 3 didn't give a damn and continued with the dialogues and later Cabir, Mukti, Dhruv, Alya, Veebha and Manik too joined us playing.

Everyone started slowly and at last end up shouting the spells on each other and we started to fight. It was so much fun like olden days but now no one knows what character we are playing, we randomly said the spell throws pillow at each other and whole hall become the mess. But there was continuous laughter of Cabir and Manik from the starting to till end that everyone for some moment become statue and watched Manik like they are seeing rainbow at the night (Note naturally rainbow at night is impossible). 

After getting conscious Manik stopped laughing and Cabir to stopped. To avoid the consequent talks, Manik went to his room and everyone started to slow retire to their respective room. 

'Aiyappa' I freaked out. 

"What happened Nandhini, anything wrong?" everyone gathered with worry. 

"Guys relax, it's nothing serious' Navya replied and I glared at her, she knows the reason why I freaked. 

"No, the time is 2.30am, how am supposed to sleep now. I cannot sleep now' I said everyone glared at me and threw pillow at me and started to move to their rooms. 

Navya was watching me with smirk. 

"Guys serious, I cannot sleep after the clock past 12" I said with puppy face that Mukti came near me and said. 'Go and lie on bed, one sleepless night won't cause big problem" She came near as if cares for me and giving some advice but she said one sleepless night won't be big problem. 

'What the hell' I murmured and Navya's smirk become wider. 

'Navya' I called her sweetly. 

'Yes Nandhu' 

'You are going to share the room with me right?" 

'Yes of course' 

'Let me see, how are you going to sleep if I am not' I smirked and went inside the room. 

Navya decide to not to come to the room and might went to Alya and Mukti's room, clever she is. 

I am not able to sleep; I am really not able to sleep. What type of disease I have that I cannot sleep after 12? 

'Aiyappa' why did you allow me awake till 2? 

'Any way what will he do, I had so much fun with them that I didn't even realize it is past 12 who is usually not able to keep the eyes open even after 11pm." 

Already the timing and top of that Manik's thought. 

Why everyone saw him weirdly while he was laughing is that so rare or what? 

I have seen him laughing even saw him laughing more careless, and Fab is his friend and obviously they might have seen him laughing more often right? 

Then why those stares? 

I moved to swimming pool and half dipped my legs in the water and sat there. 

I wish it will starts raining. 

I saw the ripples in the water nearby and saw the great Manik Malhotra already sat near me same half dipping his legs like me. 

"Nandhini, it is so cold here and I think it will starts raining" 

"You think it will start raining?" Before he replies, the rain itself answers. 

I was so happy it rains now, I hadn't drenched it for almost one year. In my hometown whenever it rains, I will always drench and me my mom used have fights over that. She never allows me to play in the rain of course she will be one who is going to suffer if I catch cold more than me, but I never listens to her and she gradually stopped fighting with me. Now days if say it rain, she will start to say cold remedy that she was sure I would have played but in Pune I don't know when it is raining, that we sit inside office, I don't know what is happening outside like I completely shut down from outside world. Some irritating thing cause of IT employee. So now a day I was longing for the rain and it rains today. 

"Oh hello Nandhini Murthy, don't say you like rain also" 

"Manik... I don't like rain" relief wave passes through is face and vanished by my following statement. 

"I love rain, I love them more than moon, star, sun, mars, Jupiter and everything in solar system. In fact, it fascinates me more than anything in this world" I was so happy that I am not aware of what I am blabbering, all I know is I am playing in the rain. 

"Manik, can we dive in swimming pool?" 

"What, are you mad?" 

"Yes ofcourse" I didn't wait and I pushed him into the pool along with me. 

"Nandhini, I think you lasted completely, I haven't any nutcase more than you..." 

He was saying something actually scolding but I didn't listen and spread hands to shoulder level, lift my face above such that rain drops directly land on my face from the sky. 

I was enjoying for long time that I forgot Manik presence near me when I turn towards him as there was no sound from him and he was staring at me with so much intense that his stare send shiver throughout my body. Does Manik has this effect on me? 

Seeing me feeling awkward he spoke. 

"Does really rain fascinates you?" 

"Seriously Manik, Can't you see that rain fascinates me? Your question should be like how much the rain fascinates me" 

He chuckled, "then answer your own question then" 

"Rain is top most thing in the list of things that fascinates me. I always and will love rain. I usually imagine whenever I drench in rain, it not only drench and remove dirt from my body but also from my mind" I stated looking above the sky and turned to see confused Manik. 

"I know you are confused but I have this ideology and I don't know from where I get this but I believe this ideology from my childhood. There are some problems you have neither control over the problem nor solution, only time can heal some. In that case we have to lose the hold of grudge on that person causing problem or reason for the problem in order to move on instead of killing yourself with it and struggling inside. In such case I choose to let it go and forgive the person or thing that causes the issue and I let it go by drenching in the rain and felt myself new born after playing and drenched in the rain. I feel that it removes the negativity from me" 

"What if you don't believe in this ideology of rain but you are suffering from inside because a that the problem that neither you have control over it nor find solution." 

"In that case, time will heal the hurt" I replied understanding where our conversation is leading. 

"If healing is changing the whole person to new one that he can't recognize who really he is, then it is healing?" 

"Yes, time makes the person more mature and strong and ..." I was cut off by Manik. 

"What if the person does not satisfy with this type of healing that he wants his old self back but struggles to become his oneself?" 

"In that case, you share the pain your pain with the person who cares for you" 

"What if the he didn't find the person who genuinely cares for him but actually people sympathize him" Manik is growing more tense and impatient I don't what will be the end of our conversation. 

"then he has to search the one who really cares for him instead of sympathize him" 

"Searching there was no one who probably care for him and feeling empty is better that going through the pain all alone" 

"Manik, I don't know whether you have noticed or not you need both your hands to hold or lift when the things are heavy. Either your right hand or left hand alone hand lift or hold up to 10kg, 15kg or little more but what about 75kg or 100kg weight object, you need two hand there, the same goes with bearing a pain. A person can bear the pain to certain limit, beyond that he need someone to hold him and share his problem" 

One look from him I immediately hugged him not aware of the reason may be I saw pain in eyes that I have never seen Manik this vulnerable ever. 

He holds me tight and whispered in my ears, "I think I have found that person to hold me"

Do you believe happily ever and forever???
May be and may be not.
Every one has different story to tell, sad, happy and plain ones also. 
But do you believe every story has only sad... only happiness???
No right every story has both, some have more happy parts and some sad part and also that depends on perspective.
Now I want tell my story, you decide whether it is happy one or sad or both.
