To improve one's strength, he had to overcome his current limits and discover the latent power of his body. Tianshan Elder had performed the Divine Art of Moulding to create a cacoon known as the Prison of the Heaven and Earth, to provide a conducive environment for Xiao Luo to overcome his barriers and reach full potential. The process was extremely daunting and required him to go through unimaginable pain and torture.
"Arrgh! Arrgh!"
Xiao Luo's screams had echoed the entire valley, and it was so harrowing that anyone who heard it instantly got goosebumps. Moreso, it was a process that went on for a few days, and sometimes he'd stop screaming for an hour or two, but most of the time, he was screaming for the entire day. It sounded like he was struggling to hang on to life, and it gave a chill to anyone who heard him.

Within the pitch-black prison, blood was oozing out of every pore, drenching Xiao Luo in blood. Xiao Luo had turned into a bloody mess, and the immense pressure had distorted his facial features, making him looked like a bloody corpse.
At last, his screams had turned into laughter; a kind of laughter that was piercing and hysterical, and it showed that his pain was intensifying!
"What is going on inside?"
Sitting from afar, Gu Qianlin's face had turned pale as she broke into a cold sweat. This was the most terrifying scream she had ever heard in her entire life, and it came from a man she knew. Such a heart-wrenching scream was completely unknown to her, even when she was carrying out an interrogation. Hence, even someone like her, who hated Xiao Luo, felt sympathy for him. She hoped Tianshan Elder could end this torturous training soon.
It was day eight and Xiao Luo's scream continued.
It was the same for the ninth day.
On the tenth day, the black prison suddenly fell into complete silence. No one heard anything, not even Xiao Luo's nerve-racking screams.

Elder Long and Xiao Quanren both looked shocked as a powerful pulse of energy burst from within the prison along with the roar. Along the path the energy pulse traveled, the ground disintegrated, creating terrifying web-like fissures from the base of the prison extending outward.
Everyone unconsciously backed off a dozen meters as they stared at the pitch-black prison in disbelief. It was as if Xiao Luo had transformed into an evil being from hell. The deathly aura emanating from within the prison permeated deep into their souls.
"Junior Sister, what... What is going on?" Elder Long was confused.
Tianshan Elder glared at him and scowled, "You're asking me? Then, pray tell, who should I ask?"
She then stared wide-eyed at the Prison of Heaven and Earth, the very cacoon she had created to secure Xiao Luo. It was an unprecedented situation, and Xiao Luo's resilience exceeded her expectation. Had the little brat overcome the barriers of his limits? Why was his aura so beastly, and why was that roar so terrifying like a beast?
Elder Long was lost for words, and seeing that it was her Divine Art of Moulding that created the prison, he assumed she should have the answer.
"Master, is Xiao Luo going to be okay?" Gu Qianxue asked in tears.
"I can't be sure at this point."
Tianshan Elder shook her head, then stared at Elder Long and said, "Long, what is the background of this little brat?"
"Junior Sister, didn't I tell you? He's from the Xiao Clan." Elder Long answered.
"What? The Xiao Clan?"
Tianshan Elder's eyes widened, and she looked terrified. She looked like she had just recalled something terrible, and it seemed like she too had had an unpleasant experience with the Xiao Clan before.


Xiao Luo and his girlfriend had been in love with each other for four years when she proposed a break up. Because of this, Xiao Luo sped his car in the night and ended up in a car accident. But it was a blessing in disguise as he unexpectedly fused with a high tech system that originated from a universe hundreds of billions of light years away. From this moment on, the entire world started to run amok.....

War heroes from the Period of Destruction couldn't be casually appropriated as virtual idols. When virtual idols were first introduced, a few companies modeled their idols after war heroes, but they often distorted the real person, which infuriated the descendants of the heroes. They banded together to clamp down on the trend.
Virtual idol companies were banned from basing their designs on real-life war heroes from the Period of Destruction or even using their names. When exceptions were made, they required extensive vetting. Violators faced legal action.

When designing his prototype, Fang Zhao recalled a conversation he'd had with a few old friends.
"Old Zhao, don’t you think the three of us kind of take after the Longxiang Tianluo? We were just ordinary folks before the end of days—I was a prison guard and Su Mu tended to his cattle…"
"Old Xi, you got it wrong. I was a shepherd," Su Mu corrected.
"Same thing. See, Old Zhao—a shepherd, a teacher, a prison guard, and a composer. All regular people. The apocalypse changed everything. It’s not just us. No one who has survived looks like they used to. It wasn’t for the fame—it was all in the name of survival, no matter what we became."
During the end of days, he used quite a few wooden tools made from Longxiang Tianluo. Vaccines were also extracted from the tree. You could say that the Longxiang Tianluo and mankind had survived the apocalypse hand-in-hand.
Someone once joked that the Longxiang Tianluo was another comrade.
Fang Zhao tucked away his drawing, washed his face, and headed downstairs.
After seeing Fang Zhao for the first time in three days, Yue Qing and Ai Wan both approached to chitchat.
"You’ve been holed up working the past few days?"
"Yeah." Fang Zhao bought some more food from Yue Qing’s shop. He ate while getting a tan.

Fang Zhao chatted briefly with Yue Qing and Ai Wan. When the sun faded, he returned to his apartment to tidy up, then picked up his briefcase and headed to Silver Wing headquarters. He went straight to the 50th floor.
He wondered if Zu Wen had pulled another all-nighter gaming in his office. His sole staffer only responded after several shouts.

Zu Wen stared at the page and went blank for two seconds. He rubbed his eyes and took another careful look. After a long silence, he blurted out, "Either I’m not entirely awake or you’ve gone nuts."
Zu Wen’s first reaction was disbelief. Are you f*cking kidding me?
"Uhm, if I’m not mistaken, you drew a… tree."
Zu Wen had been wondering for the past two days what Fang Zhao would come up with. He'd even wondered whether Fang Zhao would cherry pick features from various virtual idols like previous virtual idol designers had done—this nose, those eyes, this face, and that body. It'd never occurred to him that Fang Zhao would hand over a tree.
There had been all types of virtual idols—humans, animals, fairies, and demons. But as a veteran virtual idol designer, Zu Wen had never seen a plant.
If it was going to be a plant, so be it. But it had to be a unique plant, no? Cuter than usual, more attractive than the average plant, or more colorful. Otherwise, how were you going to attract a following? But Fang Zhao was a renegade.

"You really want to do this? I mean, have you run it by Boss Du?" Zu Wen asked.
"Boss Du is busy," Fang Zhao responded.
"Understood." Regardless of whether Du Ang was actually busy, he didn’t want to have anything to do with the virtual idol project for sure, so Fang Zhao was calling the shots.
"How long do you need to create a detailed virtual image?" Fang Zhao asked.
"Based on your prototype, probably a week. Don’t think I’m a slow worker—it’s just me, after all. A week is pretty quick."
The prototype was like a draft sketch, the first step in deciding the look of a virtual idol. Revisions and fleshing out the design were still to come.
Virtual idols had the upper hand over real idols in that imagination was the only limit when it came to their aesthetic potential.
But how pretty could a tree look? Even an anthropomorphic tree wasn’t that attractive.
A cartoonish design could make it cuter.
Zu Wen was brainstorming how to improve the prototype when he heard Fang Zhao say, "We’ll have to prepare a music video to go with the launch."

The launch of a virtual idol was usually associated with a music video. For example, Neon Culture and Tongshan True Entertainment released music videos when they entered Xun Huai and Fei Lisi in the new talent contest.
Typically speaking, the first music video of a virtual idol in the New Era gave a personal history and introduced its personality.
Launching a virtual idol also involved storytelling. Maybe nobody paid attention at the beginning, but if the idol became a star, you’d have to extend the story line.

He said, 
"Go your way, Daniel, for the words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end. 
Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. 

None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. From the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that desolates is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred ninety days. 

Happy are those who persevere and attain the thousand three hundred thirty-five days. But you, go your way, and rest; you shall rise for your reward at the end of the days."



This book takes its name from its hero, who was allegedly among the first Jews deported to Babylon, where he lived at least until 538 B.C. Strictly speaking, the book does not belong to the prophetic writings but rather to a distinctive type of literature known as “apocalyptic,” of which it is an early specimen. Apocalyptic writing first appears about 200 B.C. and flourished among Jews and Christians down to the Middle Ages, especially in times of persecution. Apocalyptic literature has its roots in the older teaching of the prophets, who often pointed ahead to the day of the Lord, the consummation of history. For both prophet and apocalyptist there was one Lord of history, who would ultimately vindicate the chosen people. Apocalyptic also has roots in the wisdom tradition. Daniel has the gift of discernment from God. Greek wisdom (represented by the Babylonian “magicians and enchanters”) is ridiculed (see especially chaps. 2 and 5), whereas God reveals hidden things to faithful servants.

This work was composed during the bitter persecution carried on by Antiochus IV Epiphanes (167–164 B.C.) and was written to strengthen and comfort the Jewish people in their ordeal. The persecution was occasioned by Antiochus’s efforts to unify his kingdom, in face of the rising power of Rome, by continuing the hellenization begun by Alexander the Great; Antiochus tried to force Jews to adopt Greek ways, including religious practices. Severe penalties, including death, were exacted against those who refused.

The book contains traditional stories, which tell of the trials and triumphs of the wise Daniel and his three companions. The moral is that people of faith can resist temptation and conquer adversity. The stories bristle with historical problems and have the character of historical novels rather than factual records. What is more important than the question of historicity, and closer to the intention of the author, is the fact that persecuted Jews of the second century B.C. would quickly see the application of these stories to their own plight.

There follows series of visions promising deliverance and glory to the Jews in the days to come. The great nations of the ancient world have risen in vain against the Lord; his kingdom shall overthrow existing powers and last forever; in the end the dead will be raised for reward or punishment. Under this apocalyptic imagery some of the best elements of prophetic and sapiential teaching are synthesized: the insistence on right conduct, the divine control over events, the certainty that the kingdom of God will ultimately triumph and humanity attain the goal intended for it at the beginning of creation. The arrival of the kingdom is a central theme of the gospels, where Jesus is identified as the human figure (or “Son of Man”) who appears in Daniel’s vision. The message in both parts of the first chapters is that history unrolls under the watchful eye of God, who does not abandon those who trust in him and will finally deliver and re-establish them. Moreover, it can be pointed out the same teaching in different symbolism; even describes the king’s dream as a “vision.”

Wandering on the hollow, cold and dark object of what death is, I think I reached a conclusion, a down to earth one if I might dare. Death is always someone else's death, not ever our own. We cannot see it except through the eyes of another person, because death and us will never be in the same place at the same time, when death comes, we have left, and while we are still here, death is not. I tried and tried to allude on empty thoughts on it, but it is useless, because all death is, all that it will ever be, is just our sure destination and nothing else. The only sure thing that we have since the very first moment that we come to life is that one day we will die. There is no question over it, the only thing that remains, is the "when". Not even the how matters, that is just a means to an end. Maybe you will wander, why did I just started writing at the very beginning for the end. Well, because I just wanted to take it out of the way. We, even though it is the only certainty that we have, never think of it, never think that it might be tomorrow, that it might be after a couple of hours because we are not accustomed with the idea, unfortunately we do not think of our every moment as our last one. That in my opinion is a very big mistake on our part, being that we are just a number of days, I still have to understand why we fill those days with everything that has so little meaning to us. With things that make those days just a little bit darker, just a little bit sadder. What makes us believe that we will get a second chance, why are we such dreamers I cannot understand. Actually, I would say not even dreamers; we are so eluded and so high on the idea of our greatness that we cannot see it even with our eyes wide open. I know that you expected to have answers reading this, I know I do when I start reading anything at all, but that is not the destination of my path that I started today, and this is just a journey, just as life is. I am also afraid that at the end of this journey, if you decide to stay with me, you will be left with a lot more questions than answers. Honestly that is precisely my objective. I do not aspire to change your views; I do not aspire to change your opinion, because as a fellow human I respect your personality. All I aspire to do is express myself and my views and to anyone that's listening, create the idea that there might be more to it. That is all I have ever tried to do, and will keep doing so till the end of my days, the end of my journey that might be tonight, tomorrow or fifty years from now. As I said before, that is our only certainty; everything else is just additional information. 
So here we are, me talking about death and you following me. What amazes me is that no dead person is a bad dead person. After someone dies you will not hear many bad words for that person, even if while that person was alive made everyone else's life impossible, or miserable, once that person is dead those bad things that it did, they will disappear, death will take them along with him. Maybe this happens because we get that little thought that now life is better for the rest of us, that the person got the major punishment that there can ever be, death. I think this has nothing to do with dead person, I think this happens because we come to the sudden realization of how small and unimportant we are, how fast it goes and  the moment that we will depart from this life, is so unpredictable and so close that it makes everything else dismissible. That is why whatever the dead person did while still alive, does not matter anymore that, is why it will never matter anymore. We are small, and we think that the everyday things that we do define us, define who and what we are. I do not at any extend agree to this idea, I have turn to hate, love, hate again and love again human beings. That is because I did not know any better, because I made it my way to "judge" people and their choices, this until I realized that I am nobody to do so. I am just a mere mortal that is responsible only for its own actions, and I should be able, as whole person to accept their consequences. Sometimes this is the hardest part to do, because we will always try to put the blame somewhere else, to someone else. Why we do this, is because we are not accepting the concept of death, we try our hardest to refuse that concept, because that means that we open our eyes to the reality of how small and insignificant we are. That my friend is one thing that keeps us from forgiving and forgetting, keeps us from looking and moving forward. Why we do this to ourselves, I do not know. It is our twisted way of refusing death, by carrying all our burdens with us, by letting shadows of the past follow us in every direction that we take. This might be because by thinking "I will never forgive/forget this and that" we somehow add days to our number; we add days filled with hatred because somehow hatred is unfortunately stronger than love. I call it our twisted way of prolonging our lives, because when we are happy and contempt, forgiving, our days tend to fly by. Time seems to be never enough to experience all the good things that we have, to extend all the love that fills our hearts, so we fill it with darkness, regret and hate, because like this a single day will feel like an eternity. We will count the minutes that will turn into hours and hours into days to a never ending suffering. The sad truth though, is that no matter how strong that hate we choose to fill our hearts and souls, it will never beat death. At this point I started wandering, is it even worth it? My conclusion is that it isn't. Nothing is worth spending our limited number of days dwelling on what if's, how could and what could have been, because as much as you think that you are, I invite you to just try and divide it in half and from that take away another half and that my friend is what we are, nothing more and nothing less than a number of days. What you decide to fill those days with, will always be up to you and no one else, because we have to hold for dear life to the illusion of choice, to the illusion of control.

Reflecting on the essence of things, rising questions awakening of the mind.

Some time ago, Monica had a surprise that wouldn't laugh.

 The incident occurred on the 13th day of the day of El Clasico.

He handed her an egg-shaped, pink vibrator and then returned to his spot.
The girl blinked again as she examined, with deep curiosity, the pink egg-shaped thing in her hand.
"Don't make me wait. Put it inside," the man ordered and Abi swallowed.
Abi had no idea whatsoever as to what this thing was. She had never seen anything like this before. She wanted to ask him what this thing was and what he meant by 'put it inside' but the man was so serious, she was afraid she'd fail the test if she showed him that she didn't even know what this was.
"Is this clean?" was what she asked instead and the man half-smiled.
"It. Is. Very. Clean." He stressed out every word.
Still unsure about what to do, Abi hesitantly looked at him and then in the next second, she put it inside her mouth.

"All you have to do is follow three rules, Abigail…" He started and Abigail held her breathe in anticipation. She was a little nervous. "First, you will be home before or during twilight. Any later than that and you'll be punished. Understand?"
Abi blinked. She didn't expect that this was actually his first rule.
"I understood… I just thought that my curfew is pretty early." She trailed off but Alexander just looked at her with eyes silently saying the words 'my house, my rules'.
"Second, while you're in this house, you will listen to no one but me. Only do what I ask you to do. Understand?" Abi nodded again. "And last, but not the least –"
"I won't ask or demand for your love. Got it." Abi took the words out of his mouth and Alexander eyes glittered with something she couldn't fathom, as a smile curved on his face.

After what happened on that day, three calm days had passed by. During that time, Alice forgot those thoughts she had very fast. Those few days had a very healing effect on her mind, although she still had to completely sort out her thoughts, it helped to stabilize her mental state that she could put those depressing thoughts aside for a while.

On the fourth day, the tension that seemed to have built up unbeknownst to her suddenly erupted again. It was while Alice was attending to the little herb garden again that they heard the knocking on the door again. 

When her grandma left, to open for whoever was visiting, she didn't expect what happened next. She could hear the mother and daughter pair discussing something for a while, and not much later both of them only became louder as they progressed. 

This suddenly reminded her of what had happened a few days ago. Suddenly, Alice got very worried, she had only truly learned the value of her family after she lost them, so she didn't want to see the mother and daughter pair fighting like this. Still, after her grandma told her not to worry about it, she quickly tried to drive those thoughts out of her mind, although they always stayed in the back of her mind.

Then, one day later, the daughter came again. It didn't take long until the situation became even louder than the day before. Now Alice really started to worry, and this time she didn't stop no matter what her grandma said.

When the two of them got even louder a day later, Alice knew she had to make a decision, although t wasn't a decision at the same time, she just knew what she had to do and acted on it at the same evening.

….

She didn't let her grandma realize anything over the rest of the day. But when it was finally time to sleep, she only pretended until she finally heard the slightly heavy but regular breathing from her grandma. Alice continued waiting for a while before she freed herself from her grandma's arms and got out of the bed. 

Very careful, as to not make any sounds, Alice clothed herself and packed together the few things she had when she came to this place. The clothes on her body and one set of spares, her water bag, the walking stick and finally the comb that had broken into two once again. When Alice looked at the comb, she started pondering for a moment. In the end, she left the end piece on the table and only took the middle piece with her. Then she left the little hut without making a sound.

When she got outside and she closed the door behind her back, her sight fell on one of the other two huts. Alice walked over until she stood in front of the door, lifted her fist, and knocked. She waited a few moments, when no answer came, she knocked again, louder this time. Through the walls of the building, Alice heard someone moving towards the door slowly, and it opened up a moment later.

"Tsk. It's you girl, what do you want at this time?", it was the voice of Charlottes daughter, this was the place where she lived.

Making her hands into fists, Alice affirmed her determination again and spoke:
"I'm leaving."

"Finally!"

"But I have a request. I may not know many things and I don't know what happened between you, but please, whatever it is, make up with grandma!"

"You have no right...", the woman started, but Alice soon interrupted her.

"I don't know what happened, but if I know one thing, than that you will never be able to talk with someone once they are dead."

Beginning like this, Alice started to face all her emotions she had set aside for those few days, although it wasn't easy, once she started to voice out her thoughts she wouldn't let anyone interrupt her.

"Now, I am regretting so many things that I can't see my family ever again that it is almost unbearable, but grandma is still here. She had been trying to hide it, but I noticed, every time she fought with you she always looked extremely sad and lonely! In these last days, she has become weaker each day and needed my help more and more! I don't know what happened, but please! Please!", in the end, Alice still had many feeling she wanted to voice out but didn't know what to say any more at the same time, letting her only with the ability to plead. The more she talked the louder and sadder her voice got. In the end, she almost started crying out of worry but could hold herself back just barely.

Seeing and hearing Alice, the woman in front of her got a troubled expression on her face, finally, she said:
"I... Haaaaa, I will try... talking with her."

For a few minutes, the woman kept looking at the little hut where her old mother was sleeping, and Alice just kept looking at the ground in front of her, getting a little uncomfortable.

Suddenly the woman realized that she still was there and said:
"Didn't you say that you would leave? Then go!"

Alice wasn't sure how to say what she wanted to say next, so she kept hesitating, but in the end, she still asked:
"Could you give me some food? I don't want to take any more from grandma and I have nothing left."

"Tsk. We don't..."

At that moment she got interrupted:
"We can at least give her enough to reach the next town."

Looking up, Alice saw the gigantic man that had been pulling the water from the well every morning, looking at her with a thankful expression.

"Ok, but nothing more!", the woman conceded.

"Oh, and girl, a little tip for you. Don't walk in the middle of the day when it is hot like at the moment. Try walking in the morning and evening and rest in a shadow when it gets too hot in the middle of the day."

When Alice looked at the road in front of her, she confirmed her determination once again. Although she was sad to leave her newfound grandma, this was better for everyone. After all, traveling was her fate in the first place, she thought.

Just like this, Alice just kept walking while avoiding the midday heat. If she found a village or inn before it got dark, she would try to ask for a place to sleep and some food. Sometimes she got lucky and the people took pity on her, but most of the times, they didn't. If she didn't find other people, she would just lie down in the grass beside the road and sleep there.  And if she met other travelers along the road, she got most of the times only ignored.

As the people that lived in those places couldn't really prevent her from using the well, she had at least water most of the time, but three meals a day every day was only a faint dream from a past that seemed distant already. Once, she had to go without food for two days, but no matter what, Alice still kept walking, because, somewhere in her mind, she knew that it would be the end for her if she stopped. And she was definitely not willing to die just yet, she had to keep living to reach her destiny.

In that manner, ten days passed by and at least the weather started to cool down a little from that torturous heat. When on the ninth day the first light rain since a long time fell, Alice couldn't have been any happier. She would have probably laughed if she had the energy to spare.

At the end of the tenth day, Alice suddenly saw something weird. Still a little distance away, at the side of the road stood a large black rock. It was very thin and tall, so tall that even two grownups standing on each other's shoulders wouldn't be able to touch the top of this stone.
