Disturbing Events Manifest
Series of bizarre events that Amadeus had been experiencing became an enigma in his life.  A confusion to take a deep understanding of the occurring phenomena that needed to be answered.  But despite all his difficult effort to resolve for himself in which he even consulted some reputable  psychics in town he could not find a single answer for his questions that remained riddles at the back of his mind. But yet, a series of unfortunate events persisted along his way.
There was nothing he could do, but to move on.  Red was stunned with what Amadeus was experiencing, but he could not blame anybody for his close encounter with those unfortunate events. Amadeus remained strong and courageous despite all these negative encounters and thinking of fighting to the end to finish the tale.
" I do n't want to suffer more.  I do n't want to encounter such bizarre occurrences at all. " Amadeus cried out.
" Don't be depressed.  Everything will come to pass by. Have faith in God and yourself."  Sarah urged.
" Every man has his own trials in life to overcome. Be strong in any given trial" she added.
" You're right but, there must be an end to this agony" He moaned.
" Exactly and that is what you have to find out. On how to resolve your problem. Seek in order to find" She continued.
" You must be strong in the Lord.  Don't give up"  She added.
" Perhaps, you're right.  I will try to be strong and seek the remedy to end this riddle." He replied.
Amadeus learned to face another scenario that he would like to repel.  His thoughts began to realize that his dilemma was a reality to handle.
One sunny day off, Amadeus and his family were walking along their way out to the national road as they happened to pass by a defunct old beer garden when he suddenly heard an echo of an enchanting voice that was calling him. It 's a chilling voice. The echo was like coming from a cave.
" Amadeus ! Amadeus !  Amadeus come over here !" " Huh, what was that ?" Did you hear that?  The loud chilling voice was calling me. "  He asked Sarah.
" No, I did n't. I can't hear any voice calling you" Sarah was scared.
" C'mon let's go back home. Something is wrong.  Don't proceed" She insinuated.
" Yes. It's real. Let's go back home to be safe. That's an omen "  He said.
The thought of witchcraft  came into his suspicious mind based on the narrative facts and the series of unfortunate events that Amadeus had been experiencing.
" There must be an implied message why they are doing these things to me.  I believe Linda being an alchemist is responsible for what I have been experiencing." Amadeus sighed.
" You are not so sure, Dude.  How can you prove that? You could hardly prove those events were her works "  Sarah explained.
" Who do you think will do these to me?  They wanted us to abandon this house for Sophia's own benefit." He continued.
" No. Forget about alchemy.  Keep praying.  Events and trials in life just come along the way that we must be prepared to solve.  Everyone has his own trials in life.  It so happens that you are being tried to be stronger and  mature." She continued.
"  I am quite sure they have something to do with these strange events.  They are doing something evil to me "  he added.
In the evening, Amadeus had to check the surroundings to keep them safe. He would lock the gates, windows and possible ingresses and egresses of intruders that had been recently wandering the village.
He got a chain for his mountain bike and tied the front wheel around the pole at the gate.  He would sneak into the window to check if the roof was being hovered by devil bats.  Later, he would lie in bed and get a deep catnap. After a few moments, his slumber would suddenly be distracted by bad dreams.
"Why? What's wrong again ?" Sarah asked.
" I heard a great sound of the slammed door directly into my deep ears just moments ago." He moaned.
Sarah got out to take in a glass of water.
" What could that be? Are you sure of what you heard ?"  She asked.
" Very sure. I heard a large wooden-oak door heavily slammed that woke me up"  He continued.
Sarah was silent and could not do anything but hugged Amadeus.  They opted not to sleep anymore, but to incline against the headboard instead and to be more vigilant just to let the time elapsed until daybreak .
Amadeus went out of the house and went around.  His attention was caught by the chain he tied around the pole.
" Sarah, Sarah come here " He called with astonishment.
Sarah was stunned as she rushed to the gate.
"Why? " " Look at the chain I tied in front of the wheels, It's now tied into the rear wheel ?" He asked reluctantly.
" I tied the front wheel around this pole last night and now it has been transferred into the rear wheel ?" He continued.
"Really?  "
" What do we do now ?" Sarah asked.
Amadeus was anxious and became more restless.
" It's getting worse now. I am confused about these weird occurrences in me" He sighed.
" I will go to the house and ask Red and Ben for help.  We cannot just take things without immediate and serious  consideration otherwise, the next move will be more appalling." He said.
" No.  Let's seek the help of  Churchmen and see what action they could take about these strange things. " Sarah suggested.
They called a Church Pastor and told him the enigmatic events that took place relating to Amadeus's eerie situation.
" I do n't think yours  is just an ordinary spiritual issue.  The chain as you said is one example of the manifestation of evil work." the Pastor said.
" Do you think this could be done by an ordinary person doing some black magic or some sort of what they call  alchemy and witchcraft ?" Amadeus asked curiously.
"Alchemy? I never heard of that yet.  I only know some evil works such as divination, witchcraft, and sorcery."
"Alchemy is a form of witchcraft using different chemicals, oils, and herbs to a person being the subject of their evil work," explained Amadeus.
" But I believe that something has befallen on you that may be the result of an evil work however, I still believe in the power of prayers to repel evil works. You should be prayerful and strong in the Lord.  Cast them out in the Name of Jesus when they manifest again along the way and eventually, it will disappear." the Pastor added.
" But how do you find yourself, I hope you don't mind and I don't want to offend you?" asked the Pastor.
" I am okay, Pastor. My mind is clear as my body is strong.  I cannot say I am insane because an insane person is out of his right mind,  but  I know what is going on around me. I know what's happening now.  I could not have summoned you if I am not in my right senses."  He explained.
" Good, you have to be vigilant and use the power of prayer as I told you," the Pastor said.
" Shall we take steps against those persons whom we suspect are responsible for this?" Sarah asked.
" No. not at the moment and as long as you have proven and have the available evidence.  That will be subject to a police jurisdiction after all." The Pastor added.
" But we have a reliable man who could pinpoint the place of the alchemist and her exact location," Amadeus said.
" Why not let the police do it for you?  Tell the police about the subject and see the place surreptitiously."
" I think your suggestion is better" Sarah replied.
Amadeus and Sarah went to the old house to talk to Red of the persisting events.  They revealed everything that had been happening in the past with Amadeus.
" That's incredible. I won't believe Sophia nor Linda would do that to you" Red said.
" Still,  you don't believe in me and Ben about his testimony. Shall  I just wait for the time that I and every one of us get harmed physically?  I  firmly believe that they have something to do with these events because they are evildoers " Amadeus exclaimed.
" And not only us will be in trouble, but it will also be you next time.  Believe me, they're after your wealth, Bro "  He added
" So, what do you want me to do now?" Red said calmly.
" I will ask Ben to lead me to the place and affirm the information before I tell this to the police.  "  He said.
" But your action may be drastic.  They might be involved in alchemy, but nobody has proven that it's the result of their works.  Nobody would believe that there still exists witchcraft and alchemy today neither the police would believe, too." Red said.
" We can give them the benefit of the doubt as long as there are available material proofs taken or seen in the crime scene, it would suffice to affirm their evil works.  You should know that evil still exists."  Amadeus pronounced.
"  We could not say that sorcery or witchcraft is an outmoded activity.  It could be inherited by the relatives of those who embraced it in the past." He added.
" It's up to you to do so," Red replied.
" To make it clear and affirm that witchcraft still exists today, I will seek for a person who knows something about it," Amadeus said.
"What? Will you spend your time doing it? You will get crazy" Red said with a surprise.
" Why not?  There are places in this country where sorcery and witchcraft do exist or being practice as there are persons who know where they could be found. " Amadeus said.
" I can't hold you back with your decision.  If it's for the good and resolution of the problem then go for it. We're here to back you."  Red said.
Amadeus strongly believed that witchcraft still happened in modern time.  He began searching books pertaining to it.  In the library and in many places he suspected to have experienced the horror of the past and old towns that could have a history of persons practicing witchcraft and sorcery.  As a result, Amadeus was able to learn and discover pertaining to the history of places, persons and the subject of sorcery, however, he was still unsuccessful to find the answers to his personal problems.

To resolve the mystery, they stalk the suspected alchemist and sorcerer who is no other than  his friend. On their way  to the wild prairie they discover the abode of their  mystery foes.  A suspense-thrilling and intriguing  story that will stun  readers on the brink of their seats while unveiling  the reality and existence of modern-day witchcraft and alchemy.

Once Halloween time was over and thanksgiving started approaching, I was left jobless. It was difficult and I greatly needed money, but Pyra's mom thankfully tried to help me get a job at bulls eye(a store popular with people who have money). Anyway, that didn't workout too well. I got interviewed but never got hired. That wasn't the problem though, the problem was that after everything that happened during the Halloween. I started to do a lot of thinking and it was honestly a tough decision at the time. And looking back on it now, it was the absolute worst decision of my entire life.

   In early November, I ended up breaking things off with Pyra once and for all. And it was a HUGE mistake, big time. Of course, I didn't fully realize this until it was way too late. And ultimately was my biggest regret despite what I told myself at the time. At the time, I told myself that it was time to break things off because I didn't want things to be worse down the road. I told myself that it was for the sake of us both and to protect us from an even worse breakup in the future. But, the truth is....I was scared. After Pyra's panic during Halloween, I started to have doubts about whether I could handle and deal with all this. I was worried about snapping and making things worse than they had become.

   And I tried to justify it as protection, but regretted it in the end and made myself look like an ass. Either way, it was tough time. She meant alot to me and she does till this day. Heck, we gave our first times to each other. So she definitely was important to me, and after going our separate ways. It set in motion a great series of unfortunate events.

This is a light hearted and dark tale of an emo guy and his emotional journey through his break up. A tale of parties, drugs, drama, and near alcoholism. I nodded "well you from what I uncovered it all  started after he left the compound..... he was found by a army officer who goes by the name Guren Ichinose. A rather unfortunate turn of events if you ask me humans are despicable Bastards."

Hearing he was located by the humans he grew even more concerned about my new little brother Yuichiro or Yu. "That's not good but at least we have a rough idea of where he is and why is it an unfortunate turn of events exactly?" 

"Simple in the human settlement they have something called routine medical check ups to see the health of the inhabitants if they need a vaccine etc" he nodded looking at me dead in the eyes with dilated eyes concerned about what could come next ".... after this procedure is done it's logged onto their network which I the legendary genius I am managed to worm my way into" 

"Haha good job Hitomi you are smart" I truly am a genius you know even in this world... ah yes Mika more head pats I need more. Satisfied with my petting I continued.

"Anyway after digging through medical records I managed to find lil bro's medical records I found absolutely nothing and that's what's worrying me" 

Hearing this Mika tilted his head in obvious confusion a sick feeling slowly arising in his stomach he lightly grit his teeth. "That's worrying since we don't know much about him anymore but by the look in your eyes it's worse than I thought."

I felt horrible knowing what had happened to little Yuichiro. My blood boiled this is now my body and I will protect what is mine like my family. "Unfortunately you are correct yet again however don't tell Krul since it's still unconfirmed and we don't know how she'll react to this tidbit of information." I looked at him hoping for a favourable response.

He nodded "your right even I can't completely trust her all things considered you are the only person here I can confide in not Tohka though because we'll she's too naive for her own good and loose lipped to add the cherry on top hehe" he said with a rare genuine smile.

"Preach my brother preach. However back to the subject at hand there are absolutely no records on him medically in the past few years the last recorded one being a blood test. If my worst fears are correct they've figured out about the Hyakuya orphanage and the seraph of the end and you better than most know what that means on top of hidden records."

Hearing this the room temperature dropped rapidly the room once warm with familial banter now stuffed with hatred and bitterness towards the human settlement. Mika practically grunted out in response changing into a loud ear piercing screech "human experimentation on the seraph of the end. THOSE GOD DAMN WARMONGERING TAILLESS MONKEYS WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO OUR FAMILY!!!"

After releasing such an ear deafening screech I had a mind numbing head ache. "Dude I understand your anger and all but please calm down sensitive ears remember."

Hearing this he deflates "so what do we do now currently we're both considered essentially high priority prisoners and we can't leave without orders what do we do?"

"If I were you I'd recommend waiting the vampires are planning something big and they will need all the personnel they can get their claws on so we should wait it out they'll either send us out with them worst case scenario. Or best case scenario they send out most guards and we try escape attempt     MK2 electric boogaloo."

"I agree but we should probably try and..." he was about to continue until a loud screaming voice could be heard beckoning us to re enter the throne room.

We briskly strode into the large hall for the second time today and if I'm lucky maybe the last time in my life. I walked to beside Ferid although evil he's nice to those he considers allies which I am his ally.

"So Hitomi was it" asked the brat looking vampire in an arrogant tone.

"Indeed Krul Tepes my names Hitomi Hyakuya my lady a scientist and doctor what is it you require of me" my gods I hate this bitch is this how all the kings vassals felt in game of thrones if so he's lucky they didn't rebel sooner this is just too degrading to deal with constantly.

I looked up to see her face pretty cute with no extra fat on her and looks like a Loli that turned to the dark side whilst being a goth not a great combination but hey who am I to judge. 

"I am aware of your occupation and that is why you have been summoned here. Now tell me why exactly would you require the progenitors blood exactly you had better have a good answer."

Well shit I thought Ferid would be discreet for gods sake well the fact she hasn't gone berserk shows she's at least interested time for Talk-No-Jutsu. "Well you see the black demon series has been causing immense casualties on the front lines and quite frankly we're loosing to many soldiers is this correct so far." She nodded in affirmation to my claims.

"However the demon series's curse doesn affect humans thus making them the perfect weapon against your kind. During my research I developed a theory. If we genetically altered the DNA of a pure blooded vampire like the first progenitor and implanted it in a human the human body would adapt and change on a biological level"

Hearing this if she had a tail right now it would be wagging furiously. Since the black demon series are one of the very few ways to kill a vampire.

"Thus creating a Dhampnir a half vampire with all the advantages of a vampire extreme regeneration enhanced strength etc yet with the human DNA at its base wouldn't be affected by the curse if used correctly could become a trump card against the foolish humans so I humbly request can I have access to a small sample of the progenitors blood."

Hearing this she had a light smile with a contemplative look in her blood red eyes. "That would truly be magnificent to be used however in the entirety of the world there are only 2 vials of it left due to its nourishment affect on vampires which conveniently one is in my posession I will give one to you due to your loyalty and value of your research however..... you may only use it on yourself." She said before having Mika hand me a vile of the progenitors blood.

Yes yes yes this is best case scenario I get blood potential power up of some OP ass regeneration, enhanced strength and speed. And to add the cherry on top they only have enough to make one more mwahaha fuck the hell yes.

I was shaken awake by Jasper. 

"Wake up, the meeting is starting in five minutes," he said.

"I'm coming," I replied groggily. I had somehow fallen asleep on the ground. I seriously need to fix my sleeping schedule, I thought.

Everyone around me was awake, and gathering in the center of the room. Tobias and his men stood near the door: the silent observers. The more senior people like Claudia sat on the limited chairs while the rest of us made ourselves comfortable on the floor. 

Mindy stood up and began to speak. "Hello everyone. As you all know, we are all on this boat on the way to Qatar, to take action against AEXOSR by ambushing their headquarters, the largest one in the Middle East. I will address three main points and then if anyone has questions they may speak. Agreed?"

Everyone nodded and murmured in response. Mindy continued speaking.

"First of all, who is everyone here. The adults here like myself are the ones who were put through the AEXOSR experimental tests a few decades back. Our children have been taken for the same purpose we were: the genetic secrets in our blood. The younger ones here are the few children who avoided capture, such as Jasper, my son, Priti, Beena's daughter, Wren, Vivienne's daughter, and Lukas, Lydia's son."

Tobias pulled out his phone, glanced at it, and almost ran to the door. He was gone from sight within seconds.

"Secondly, why we need to go to the headquarters. The Organisation has gotten hold of some of our blood samples, including Lukas and Wren's. We need to retrieve these, as well as any duplicates. It is also important to get hold of any plans they have made and stored in their databases. These will be crucial in our planning against them."

"Thirdly, how to go about with this attack. This building is like Fort Knox, security is nearly impenetrable. In order to make it past, we need people who are skilled in computer coding and hacking. Is there anyone here, other than Ezekiel, who can help?"

At the mention of him name, a mousy haired man raised his head. Hearing nothing further related to him, he dropped it once more.

No one answered. Except for Lukas. 

Mindy barely glanced at him before continuing. "No children."

But Lukas wasn't going to back down so easily. "There is no one here other than me and Ezekiel who has the necessary knowledge of computer systems. You need me if you want to make it past security and not get caught."

Mindy waved him off. "We'll consider it." 

Lukas looked like he was going to argue, but then stopped himself.

Tobias entered the room once more with his powerful stride drawing attention. "Bad news," he said. "Bullet hit the primary fuel tank. We're losing fuel fast."

"What about the reserve tank?" Asked Mindy.

"Half full," the burly man replied. "It wasn't filled all the way when we were prepping the boat for some reason..."

"How long before we're out of fuel?" Claudia asked the question that was on everyone's mind. 

"Fifteen minutes," Tobias grimaced.

"Whoa whoa whoa," I said. "We have life jackets right? What about inflatable emergency rafts"? 

"There's life jackets for everyone," Tobias spoke, providing us with some relief. "But there's only one raft."

It was Lukas who asked the dreaded question. " How many people can fit on a raft?"

"Five," Tobias replied. "Four of those five seats will be filled by the older people here, that is Claudia, Ebinezer, Jacques, Kathleen. I will sit in the boat to steer and handle the motor. Everyone else will swim. I've called another boat from Qatar, but they won't come all the way here. To save lost time, we leave as soon as possible."

Mindy looked at everyone. Each and every face in the room looked visibly anxious. "Hey listen, I know this wasn't anticipated, but there's nothing else we can do. Are there any questions or suggestions?"

One of the elderly, Jacques, I think, spoke up. "Wouldn't it be better to leave in the morning? That way it'll there'll be light and it'll be safer, especially for those of you who will be in the water. It may delay us, but I think it's worth it."

There were unanimous murmers of consent throughout the room. Tobias held his hands in a surrendering gesture. "Oh alright, if everyone is more comfortable with that. Anymore questions?"

I tremblingly raised my hand. "I do. What if I can't swim?"

Tobias looked directly into my eyes and smiled, making me shudder. "Well then, I guess it's time you learned."

We were supposed to sleep until dawn, but there was no way my hyper active brain was gonna let me rest. About a thousand different scenarios ran through my head, all of them ending with me dead. I finally forced my self to calm down after I envisioned myself getting eaten by a shark.

I felt a hand on my arm, making me jump.

"It's just me," Lukas whispered.

"God Flynn, you tryna scare me?"

"Nah, I'm tryna apologize."

I hid a smile. "Hmmm, what are you apologizing for? I can't seem to remember?"

He groaned. "Do you really have to make this harder for me, Rapunzel?"

I winked. "You know I do."

"Okay, I'm sorry for being stand offish earlier. It was rude, and undeserved."

I grinned cheekily. "Extra points for using the words 'stand offish' better than Count Olaf."

He rolled his eyes. "A Series of Unfortunate Events? Really? Just how much of a child are you? Do you secretly watch Pink Panther or something?"

"Oyy! Don't you dare insult A Series of Unfortunate Events! Or Pink Panther, for that matter."

"What are you gonna do about it?"

I stared into his hypnotizing eyes, all traces of teasing gone. A little boost of courage made me continue. "Hmmm, how about this..." I trailed off as I lightly ran my finger up his arm, towards his face. I let my hand brush over his hair, and trace his jawline. My fingers barely grazed the scar across his eyebrow. He sucked in a sharp breath and closed his eyes tightly. When he opened them again, they were dark with an emotion I didn't recognize.

"You shouldn't have done that," he said huskily. 

"Why not Flynn?" I asked innocently.

"Because now I want to kiss you, and we are in a room full of people older than us who probably don't want to witness a couple of teenagers sucking each others faces off."

I blushed at the last part. Damn him!

He leaned a little closer. "But who cares what they think?"

I pretended to go along until he was so close I could feel his breath on my neck. Just as soon as he was about to, ahem, come closer, I stood up abruptly and smoothed down my clothes. "It's time to go," I smirked. "It's dawn." 

He could only stare at me, dumbfounded. Finally, he shook his head. "I'll get you for that Rapunzel!"

"Whatever you say, Flynn!" I skipped out onto the platform, where the beginnings of dawn were visible. All of my cheer melted off at the sight of the raft and the stack of neon life jackets next to it. 

"Wake up everyone! It's time to leave!" Tobias called from the door into the room. He turned to me and leered. "Get ready. We won't wait for anyone."

This was strange to me, I had once researched what happens after we die and if reincarnation is real. But experiencing it myself, was an entirely outlandish idea and I always had this notion that even if reincarnation is real we would have no recollection of our past life. I mean it's only logical for one to forget certain things. I have no idea how long it's been or who exactly i'm talking to but after over thirty years of having inner monologues I got used to it. My aunt would say I was antisocial but I bet she had no idea what that meant as she probably heard it from her better educated friends.
I sometimes see myself planning out an entire sequence of events waiting for the right moment to put it to good use. Right now I see myself waiting for a long time before that happens. I've read so many books on reincarnated characters but they sometimes never seem logical. Some characters want to spend their second chance at life "peacefully" until one random event pushes them into a series of unfortunate events. Each one either worse than the last or simply devoid of logic. I get that some people read it as an escape from reality but come on. I mean I'm okay with magic, maybe insanely entranced with the idea but I also want a little measure of validity to the events.
Although I would love them to be logical and realistic. I'm not opposed to the idea of illogical events happening in order to move the story given the execution is meaningful and worth the read. Well now it's my turn to dive into a series of unfortunate events and hopefully like most protagonists with my own golden finger and plot armour.
Being constricted in a liquid sac has given me much time to look back at my past life. I grew up in a relatively stable home. Well as long as you could ignore the constant fights and rigorous make up sex. It was like an endless loop constantly repeating itself and the people involved couldn't escape. My dad's sex friend never left him, I guess it was just that good. I recall being unable to understand why she stayed with him. It got me wondering was sex really all that; a question to which I would get an answer seven years later.
Besides being in a toxic relationship and also good at sex, my dad was a responsible father. He made sure I was well fed and cared for but somethings don't last forever. He died in a car crash and was blown to bits. That's what I told everyone at school, I figured it made for an interesting story time. Plus the teachers let me skip assignments and tests for an entire school year until my dad miraculously returned. I was suspended and my dad hit me for the first time in my life. I never did learn my lesson because I returned shortly after telling everyone he had cancer. They didn't believe me but I proved to be very persuasive and wouldn't take no for an answer. Despite my various escapades I managed to graduate top of the class three years later. I was what some may call beauty and brains but society had a different view of things as I was only considered average by my peers.
After graduation I was left wondering what to do with my life. My dad already made plans but I wouldn't be a good child if I didn't resist his desperate efforts at trying to stir my life. He wanted me to be a lawyer and even though it was a good pick. Not to mention well inclined with my set of skills but I beg to differ. His house, his rules and my life, my terms. So I decided to become an actress and enrolled in a prestigious performing arts school. I was extremely good at it and I saw myself making a living out of it plus it was great fun. It wouldn't be life without a dash of pain, misery, stress and disappointments. When I started auditioning for roles I was amazed at the sheer amount of rejections I received but learnt to build from ground up because experience was key. Long story short six year later I got a major role and done properly could put me on the map. This was the opportunity of a lifetime and my father said to grab the bull by the horns so I poured my heart and soul only for the series to be recast on it's pilot episode. I was dropped for a big name actress "who could interpret the character better" than I did. All she had going for her was a pretty face and a good family name; she had zero acting skills. I swear she played the same exact role in every show she's been in. The girl could cry, I'd give her that but she was a horrible actress. I held no grudges but I couldn't help myself so I took to social media and in kind words expressed my grief. She lost the role two months later. The producers decided to withdraw the wrong judgement and I was recast for the role which I was more than ready for.
However the success and global recognition I had hoped for was a far cry from what I had expected and at this point all I needed was one decent gig to propel me to stardom. I often found myself wondering if I expected too much from life. I loved my job but I needed something to show to my dad so he wouldn't think I'm a disappointment. I forgot to mention, although he let me choose my path he made sure I learnt the hard way. His own way was refusing to pay my fees hoping that I would come to some sort of realization that his way was better. I pulled through and finally managed to land a big screen role unfortunately before I could make my big screen debut fate already made plans and my long wish for a reset button was granted. So here I am summarizing my past life story.

At first I couldn't feel anything but I knew I had a body albeit a tiny one. This was strange to me, I had once researched on what happens after we die and if reincarnation is real. But experiencing it myself, was entirely outlandish idea...

Mike looked at the die and was immediately confused at what in God's gracious name he was looking at right now. The die that was in the cube was completely black. Black as in the night sky type of black. Trying to look around the die it still had the same shape that made one think that it was following you to stay the same shape. (Side note: The color of true black cannot take on any shape at all and as a result, this die is going to look the same at any angle no matter how hard you try)
Mike reaches out towards the D20 and he can feel the surface of the die with the different numbers as well. After a few seconds, Mike begins to feel a freezing cold on his fingers, and right before his eyes the die that Mike was holding is melting and sticking onto his fingers.
Startled Mike tries to wipe off the goo but it just sticks on his other hand. Disgusted Mile is scared sh**less as he soon sees that the goo is advancing across his body. Mike struggles but soon gives up as he learns that nothing can slow the goo advance let alone stop it. "I never thought that this is how I would die," he says as he is sitting in a corner of his room sobbing a little at his cursed luck.
Soon after the goo has covered Mike's body completely and he does not say anything just expecting the end. Soon Mike hears something.
'Ding'
Mike opens his eyes (he had closed them as he was expecting this to be the end) and sees a holographic screen in front of him with some text on it.

Looking at this amount of information in front of him Mike cannot help but feel slightly depressed as he realized that he probably had worse stats than a regular human would. Eventually, the dark goo that engulfed Mike's body disappears and Mike feels free at last from the inky black void.
'Ding'
Mike looks in front of him and sees that he apparently got some sort of notification.

Suddenly Mike's field of view is taken over by a huge spinning wheel which showcases a lot of different awards on it. The rewards ranged from money to items and to other various stuff. There was also a piece of text in front of the wheel that said in bolded letters 'SPIN'. Shaking his head Mike did not trust the wheel as he felt that it must be some sort of carnival gotcha game to cheat people for their money.
Mike ignored the wheel and it disappeared leaving him with nothing but his room in his vision. Mike was now tired and confused about what in the world just happened to him as he decides to just sleep and pretend nothing had happened.
Climbing into bed after taking off his still wet socks Mike can't help but feel a sense of unease as he tries to fall asleep. When final Mike falls asleep the clatter of a die can be heard as the die falls to the ground and rolls for a bit before it lands on a 1.
Mike wakes up feeling well-rested and last night only seemed like a bad dream to him. He sits up in bed, yawns, and steps onto grass. 'Wait grass?' Mike looks down and sees his foot on the grass.
Mike looks up and sees that he is in a grand plains area with cotton candy looking clouds in the sky above. The grass is short but mike can still see that the wind causes the grass to move giving it the impression that this is a sea of green. Most people would look at the scene with awe, but Mike was scared and confused since he fell asleep in his room and woke up in this place. What's worse is that Mike is still in his pajamas which is not the manliest thing he owns, to say the least
The pajamas that Mike was wearing was a single piece suit that looked very similar to a teddy bear (As to why the mail delivery guy did not notice it because it was dark and he was more perplexed by how Mike acted with the package). Looking around Mike had no idea where he was or how he got here. That was the case until.
'Ding'

Return home: Through a series of unfortunate events you are now lost and stranded on a different planet in who knows where and now you must return home.

Looking at the notifications only one emotion could be felt by Mike. Pure unbottled rage.
"What do you mean by a series of unfortunate events that is a bunch of bull you did this to me you stupid system! Now I am stranded in God knows where and because of you I am going to miss my gaming session at the Mclarrens house tonight!"
Wanting to hit something the only thing he could hit was his wooden bed which was soon reduced to splinters and other materials.
'Ding'
'User has taken 3 points of damage'
'User has destroyed a bed and earned 2 exp'
Looking at this Mike felt a little better but now there was a terrible feeling of pain on his hands as he used them to destroy the bed. Sign Mike only shook his head and tried to make heads or tails of where he is. "If only I had a map or something"
'Ding'
'The system has now activated the map feature'
"Oh well I guess this an ask and you shall receive thing" 
Mike then thinks back to last night and the wheel that he never spun.
"Uh... system open up the reward wheel please"
As soon as he says that a massive wheel appears in front of Mike with the same bolded text 'SPIN' in front of it. Mike looks at the wheel and the potential stuff he could get before looking back down at the button.
"Spin!"
When Mike shouts out the word the giant wheel moves counterclockwise slowly. Then as if struck by lightning the wheel explodes in a burst of speed and goes clockwise rapidly. The wheel spins while Mike only feels apprehension like someone on a TV show who could get something great or something terrible from the wheel. The wheel soon begins to slow down and now whatever Mike was about to get would be up to fate or luck.
Eventually, the wheel was moving slowly that it soon stopped on a crystal. Mike was apprehensive about what he would get and when he heard the 'Ding' of the notification bell.
'User has spun the Wheel of Rewards and obtained a skill crystal which has been put into the user's inventory'
"Inventory? This thing doesn't have pockets"
Contemplating Mike realizes that it is probably similar to a video game inventory system like that of the very few video games he played.
"System open my inventory"
When Mike says that some 2d boxes appear in front of Mike's vision. There were 20 boxes in a 5x4 formation and one of them had a blue crystal in them and when Mike wanted to see what it did it appeared in his hand. While in his hand a description appeared of the skill crystal in front of it.
Looking at the crystal's description Mike was dumbfounded at what he was reading.
"Did I just hit the motherload?!"

Mike was a high school nerd who liked role-playing games that involved role-playing (of course), dice rolling, and yelling at a piece of plastic because he rolled a one. He loved to buy gear and merchandise for every game he played to be invested in his character. One day a small piece of gear would change his life forever.
After buying an extremely cheap D20 mike now has access to a character sheet of himself!? Now Mike has to roll for almost every action that he does or wants to do. 
In order to get rid of the dice for good and return home Mike has to go on epic quests to survive across the multiverse completing quests and hopefully finding whoever gave him the die.
