I woke up at six thirty because I had to be in school by eight.
I got out of bed and I went into my ensuite bathroom where I had a quick shower when I was done in the shower I brushed my hair and teeth then I straightened my hair I applied a little bit of lip gloss I then walked back into my bedroom and I went into my walk in wardrobe I got dressed into a very comfy outfit for the day I then walked back into my bedroom and I slipped on a pair of converse sneakers I then grabbed my backpack that had everything in for today I grabbed my iPod and my iPhone off charge I also grabbed the earphones off the bedside table I also grabbed my wallet and my skateboard I then walked out my bedroom I went downstairs and I went into the kitchen my dad wasn't up yet and my baby brother was still asleep.
I grabbed a bottle of water and a protein bar out the fridge I left my dad a note to say that I had gone to school and that I'd be straight home after school I put the bottle of water into my backpack side pocket I put my protein bar into my backpack I then walked out of the house I skated to school.
When I got to school I could tell all the other students was looking at me I also saw two boys looking at me I smiled and I waved at them.
I got off my skateboard and I walked up the stairs of the school where the boys was.
Lucy Taylor: Can I help you two.
Scott McCall: Who are you I haven't see you around here before.
Lucy Taylor: No I've been transferred here because my dad wanted a change of scenery.
Stiles Stilinski: So what's your name.
Lucy Taylor: I'm Lucy Taylor I'm nineteen and I love animals and video games I also like working out and drawing.
Scott McCall: It's nice to meet you I can show you around if you want to we could be your friends that's if you want to that is.
Lucy Taylor: Yeah I would love that thanks Scott thanks Stiles.
Scott McCall: No problem come on I'll show you to your locker.
Lucy Taylor: Ok.
We walked into the school and we went to my locker which was next to there's I put my skateboard in it.
Three hours later
Me Scott and Stiles was sitting outside having some lunch when I saw a guy standing on the edge of the woods he was looking at me once our eyes met it was like our souls connected it was like I had known him forever wait he was my mate.
Scott McCall: Lucy is everything ok.
Lucy Taylor: Scott who's that.
Scott McCall: Oh that's Peter Hale why.
Lucy Taylor: Nothing.
I smiled.
Three hours later
It was finally the end of school I skated to the local coffee shop that was in the middle of the town I walked into the shop I walked over to the counter and I ordered me a cappuccino I went to walk out the shop and I bumped into someone.
Lucy Taylor: Shit I am so sorry.
Peter Hale: It's not your fault I wasn't looking where I was going.
Lucy Taylor: No I wasn't looking where I was going let me buy you another drink.
One hour later
Me and Peter was just talking about things we liked was I actually falling in love with him.
Peter Hale: Hey Lucy I'd like to get to know you better maybe we could hang out sometime.
Lucy Taylor: Yeah I'd like that Peter.
Peter Hale: Do you have your phone with you.
Lucy Taylor: Yeah do you have yours.
Peter Hale: Yeah here.
We swapped phones and we put each others numbers into the contacts he handed me my phone back that's when I realised the time.
Lucy Taylor: Shit.
Peter Hale: What's wrong.
Lucy Taylor: I have to go my dad will be wondering where I am.
Peter Hale: I can give you a lift home if you want to.
Lucy Taylor: Yes please that would be perfect thanks Peter.
Peter Hale: No problem Lucy.
We stood up and we walked out the coffee shop I was holding my skateboard as we walked to his car we got in and I gave him the directions to my house he parked at the front of the house.
Peter Hale: I'll message you later I really would like to get to know you better Lucy.
Lucy Taylor: Ok I'll be looking forward to it Peter and thanks again for the coffee.
Peter Hale: It's really no problem Lucy you had better get going before your dad comes looking for you.
Lucy Taylor: Ok talk to you later Peter.
Peter Hale: Talk to you later Lucy.
I got out his car while holding my skateboard and I walked into the house.
Lucy Taylor: Dad I'm home.
Adam Taylor: I'm in the kitchen princess with Jonah.
I walked through the house and I went into the kitchen.
Adam Taylor: What took you so long to come home.
Lucy Taylor: I had to talk to the teacher about the homework that and I've made some friends dad.
Adam Taylor: I knew you would.
I walked over to Jonah who was in his bouncer he giggled once he saw me.
Lucy Taylor: Hello little brother.
I kissed his head.
Adam Taylor: So what homework you've got.
Lucy Taylor: I've got to make a presentation on my favourite president.
Adam Taylor: And who's your favourite president.
Lucy Taylor: Easy Abraham Lincoln.
Adam Taylor: You hungry we can order some take out if you want to.
Lucy Taylor: Yes please can we order five guys.
Adam Taylor: Of course we can what would you like.
Lucy Taylor: Bacon cheeseburger fries and a strawberry milkshake.
Adam Taylor: Ok why don't you go and start your homework.
Lucy Taylor: Ok will you bring my food when it comes.
Adam Taylor: Of course I will princess.
Lucy Taylor: Thanks dad.
I grabbed a bottle of diet coke out the fridge and I walked back through the house I walked upstairs and into my bedroom I got changed into a comfy outfit for the night and I started my homework it wasn't due for another two days so I didn't have to do anything fast.
Two hours later
I had finished some of my homework but I haven't fully finished it yet I was watching a movie on Netflix when I got a message off Peter to ask if I was alright.

PH- Look outside your bedroom window.

When he said that I jumped out of bed and I ran over to my bedroom I opened it and I looked down to see Peter standing there.
Peter Hale: Can I come up Lucy I need to talk to you.
Lucy Taylor: Yeah come on up but be quiet.
Peter Hale: I will I promise.
I moved away from the window and Peter climbed through my bedroom window without making a sound we sat on my bed I looked at him.
Lucy Taylor: So what did you want to talk to me about.
Peter Hale: You can say no if you want to.
Lucy Taylor: What is it.
Peter Hale: Lucy I'm head over heels in love with you and Lucy I know your a werewolf your my mate I know you am.
Lucy Taylor: I know your my mate Peter I have known since you was at the edge of the woods.
Peter Hale: Lucy will you be my girlfriend like I said you can say no if you want to.
Lucy Taylor: Yes of course I'll be your girlfriend Peter I love you so much you have no idea.
He kissed me.
Ten minutes later
Me and Peter was cuddling on my bed when we heard footsteps walk up the stairs.
Lucy Taylor: Shit Peter you had better go before my father comes into my room.
Peter Hale: Ok see you tomorrow babe.
Lucy Taylor: See you tomorrow Peter I love you.
Peter Hale: I love you too.
He walked over to my bedroom window while I stayed in bed he jumped out the window and he ran.
Five minutes later
My dad walked into my bedroom.
Adam Taylor: You alright princess.
Lucy Taylor: Yeah I'm fine dad actually there is something that I need to ask you can I hang out at my friends house for two hours after school tomorrow.
Adam Taylor: Yeah of course you can.
Lucy Taylor: Thanks dad how's Jonah.
Adam Taylor: He's fine I've just put him to bed goodnight princess.
Lucy Taylor: Goodnight dad.
Adam Taylor: Goodnight princess.
He walked out my bedroom I fell asleep not long after that dreaming of Peter.

Hi I'm Lucy Taylor
I'm nineteen soon to be twenty and I'm a werewolf me my dad and three month old brother Jonah are werewolves.
My mom died while giving birth to Jonah I've helped my dad raise him don't get me wrong it has been hard but it's all worth it.
We've all recently moved to a town called Beacon Hills and I have to go to a new school there I'm scared of what all the other students will think of me,
I haven't found my mate yet but I'm about to when I meet the incredibly hot and mysterious Peter Hale because it turns out that he's my mate but will he even want me as a mate but it turns out that he does want me as his mate.
What happens when it's the night of the full moon and my father is killed by hunters I find my baby brother hidden in the woods to keep him safe from the hunters and I have to watch as my father dies without making a sound because of my baby brother.
Peter let's me move in with him and he let's my baby brother move in as well.
What will my life be like now I'm the soul guardian of my baby brother Jonah and when Peter tells me that he'll raise Jonah with me as his own son.
Will mine and Jonah's life be better now or will it be a living hell only time will tell.


Surprised for a few seconds at the strange inquiry, Taylor responded. 

"What do you have in mind?" She said somewhat guarded.

Looking at his moms for a second, he approaches Taylor, trying to not get distracted by the fact that she smells amazing. He puts a hand on her shoulder and starts to murmur on her ear. 

"Since my accident and then my coma, Mary stopped playing music and could not pick up her guitar anymore. She always was amazing but because of me, she can't play anymore. I think if we could play together we could help her heal that part of her. Would you help?" Ask Nathaniel with an emotional voice. 

"Of course I would." Answer Taylor, touched by the thought. 

"Thanks, follow me then. Moms you too please." He said. 

Leading them away from the lounge where they were, he started walking toward a door not far away. For the party, his grandparents spared no expenses, going as far as hiring an instrumental band who were playing outside. The guests were essentially situated in the yard and in the lounge which was huge. The topic of the banquet was clearly to make conversation with people and enjoy themself with amazing food. 

The door in question leads to the music room of the mansion. That was a place where he refused to go the last four month for fear of being distracted away from his physical work out. He opened the room yesterday to see what instrument it contained and was surprised to find almost all of them. He could clearly see the ego of his grandfather at work here, never coming here anymore beside the maids but because he was the president of a label, he still insisted to have a well furnished music room. The room in itself was huge, bigger than their old apartment in NY. 

Entering the room, he went directly behind the digitale piano. He didn't play for so long, he was a little scared to go behind the grand piano in the room. He opted for the digital piano because it was less demanding and he could play with it well enough. The goal of it was to help his mother in the first place, the rest was not important. 

Taylor did not lose much time too, she took an acoustic guitar and started it without asking anything. 

"Mom take a guitar please." Said Nathaniel. 

"Baby, you know I don't play anymore…" Answer Mary with vulnerability present in her voice, eyeing the guitar on the shelf with a wary expression. 

"I know mom and I know it's because of me. You always were talented and you can't play anymore, I feel bad. I finally healed myself, it's time to heal you." Said Nathaniel with sadness, he's eyes watering. 

Seeing the tears threatening to flow from the eyes of her son, she started feeling heartache. Since the accident and seeing him bleeding in an emergency room, her heart broke at that moment. She couldn't laugh anymore and she could not play either. Her music was her life for as long as she could remember, but in that moment she knew that her son and her wife meant everything and music would come after that. After the accident her only source of reconfort was her wife and her parents who came back to her life after 15 years. She forced herself to forget music to forge a new life, to help her son come back. So she went to her father's company, winning enough money to pay the medical bill. Her father insists on help but they always rebuke him. They were enough to help their son. 

But seeing her teary-eyed son in that moment, she started thinking of the time where they were playing piano together, laughing and singing. Well, she was singing, he never sang. He always said that he's voice was not good enough for that and he was perfectly fine to let her sing. He was her sweet and kind son, he was supposed to recover and get back his life and yet he was still thinking of their well being. 

She could go through flame for him, so taking a guitar even if she was anxious about it was nothing in comparison. After four years, they would play together again. She stifled her tears at the thought. 

"Of course sweetie, I'm coming." Said Mary feeling Karine patting her back, she turned her head to see her wife smiling encouragingly at her. She needed nothing else. 

Mary chose to pick an acoustic guitar like Taylor did and was currently according it. The guitar she chose was almost the same as the one she had for ten years which reassures her a little. The difference was that her guitar cost 200 dollars when she bought it and this one was worth 10 times that amount. Her father clearly didn't care about money. He only wanted the best there was. 

"What do you want to play Nathaniel?" Ask Taylor once Mary had finished. 

"I thought 'Pumped up kick' by Foster the People sounds good. It's easy enough. Mom and I haven't played in a long time." He said. 

In the past week, he started to look on Youtube and catch up to the music that he missed when he was in a coma. He heard great music and horrible one in equal measure. He was horrified to see a horrible autotune music bestseller. He discovered this music like that and he immediately thought it would be nice to play it for practice as it had an easy rhythm. 

Then they started playing, the hands of Nathaniel were clumsy at first but he adapted quickly. He noticed that the clumsiness came from the fact that his fingers were longer and more powerful that they were four years ago. Once he adapted, he could perform well enough. His mom was even better than him, except a few wrong notes in the beginning, she could follow Taylor with no problem. She had practiced guitar since she was ten so that was not surprising. 

Taylor started chanting immediately, her beautiful voice clearly in display. Mary joins her on the second verse. 

"All the other kids with the pumped up kicks...

...You'd better run, better run, out run my gun...

...All the other kids with the pumped up kicks...

You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.. "

Mary's voice was nice to hear even if it was totally outmatched by Taylor's. She always prided herself to be a musician and not a singer and she proved that by concentrating only on her guitar, her voice was only tagging along Taylor's. 

Once the music was over, Mary wanted to play 'No doubt' so they did. At that point everyone started naming a popular song to play, even Karine was singing along although she was not very gifted in it. A comfortable atmosphere reigns in the room and people attracted by the song of the music start gathering in the room to watch. Everyone was having fun but Nathaniel was not satisfied. At every music they were playing, something was moving inside of him, showing signs of agitation. 

At the end of the music they were playing Nathaniel was done with the clavier. He moves to the piano and starts pressing a diverse note on it, gathering the curious attention of everyone in the room. He was seemingly remembering the sound of each note carefully until the twirling inside of him seemed to settle and a picture finally appeared. 

Noticing the stare of his mom and Taylor, he flashes a quick smile at them before speaking. 

"I want to try something, let's create something new. Just listen at the beginning and follow me after that." Said succinctly Nathaniel, focusing on the piano and the feelings who were inside of him. 

Gathering everything that he was, everything that he lived, he started playing. 
A sad melody starts to gather around him as he plays, permeating every person present. 
And then something unbelievable happened, he started to sing. A pure and unrestrained voice emanated from him as he start singing. 

"
It's so short, a life…
...So fragile, as well...
...What to run, after time..
...Leave nothing, to live… "

While he was focusing on himself, more people started to come into the room which became quite crowded. Among them was Robert and Diane who was looking at their grandson like they were seeing him for the first time. Exchanging a look, they could clearly see the disbelief and awe mix in the eyes of the other. 

At that moment the melody starts to become more powerful, more energizing as he starts the chorus.   

"Too stubborn to die… 
...Too loved to say goodbye…
...Naive enough to fly… 
...Strong enough to cry… " 

After that the song of a guitar starts to mix with the melody of the piano, following it in his path, complimenting him. Like two long lost friends finding themself again after decades of separation. The voice of Taylor accompanying him in the chorus until the song finally finished. 

"... Strong enough… to cry…." they end with their voice, looking each other in the eyes. 

As the last sound finally die down, Nathaniel and Taylor were welcomed by utter silence. Coming out of it, they finally look at the large audience cramp in the room. The stillness lasts for a few seconds before thunderous applause explodes in there. Looking sheepishly at each other, they perform a small bow for their audience who applaud even louder than before. 

A scene attracted his attention soon enough. His moms were kneeling on the ground, hugging each other and crying their heart out. He noticed at that moment that many people had red eyes or were actively crying. He even spied his grandfather with a tear in the corner of his eyes where his grandma was actively trying. 

Going where his moms where prostrated, he got fiercely hugged by two crying womens, joining them in their round of crying. His soul at peace.

Nathaniel was in a coma for four years or at least that is what everyone thought. In reality he was trapped. Trapped in an endless dark world. 

That is until the freshly died soul of Marc, a CIA agent, came along and tried to take over his body. By an accident their souls merged and Nathaniel woke up with Marc's memories intact. 

This is the story of his life and what will become of it. Will he follow the path that was set for himself since his birth or will he forge his own way? Tuned in and find out.

Taylor and Tyler (twins) Ortiz are going to a new school. They were supposed to never go to the same school but all of a sudden their mother tells them they're going to the same school and it’s an all boys school at that. Taylor now needs to hide the facts that she's a girl in an all boys school.

Stolsky and I were jittery and nervous. First time in the Brotherhood of Natives and he was sweating under his yellow ceremonial hood. His visage hidden by a yellow skull mask. It's eyes covered in one way mirrors. That seemed to suck in the darkness making them look like obsidian opals. It's scared the crap out of him when he wore it. It felt like your being sucked into those black hard eyes. How anybody can wear these masks are beyond me. They were in a van ,Stolsky and seven others. On this night as part of the initiation they were going into a neighborhood filled with immigrants. And they were going to get them out of what the Nativists believed were theirs. When said out loud it sounded good, but you keep turning it over in your head, it gives one feelings of shame and doubt. Like what did these people do to deserve this. And what were these people doing that inflicted harm upon me. What jobs were they taking. Stolsky came because he got suckered in by the camaraderie he heard about not for anything that involved attacking innocent people. Of course he wouldn't do this, but it's to late he's here. So they broke into a nuclear family. A father, a mother, a daughter and a son. A grandpa and grandma. A dog. A couple tanks of fish, which the attackers smashed. All murdered except for their mentally ill son who we saw as too defiant to kill. And his sister to watch his torment. He and his sister would be all alone. He would also be targeted by others once we told others that he's weak. His parents told him to be strong but he resisted us. We ate their food, stole their things and all other sorts of sinful revelry all to worship the Blood Father. All except two of us. We were in the bathrooms puking. It was disgusting and terrifying how man could do this to one another. And when they were done partying in sick unholy revelry and slept in the bloodied rooms, He and I took off into the night. Though I do not know what happened to my now real friend he said he liked books so maybe he'll do something with books, he said. Probably a librarian or a book seller. Me I wanted to get a drink at a bar. And maybe get work at an restraunt before opening up my own. So we sit in a bar. And stir in our cups. When all of a sudden somebody taps on my shoulder. A wiry man wearing red dinner jacket and spats. He has a fiddle in his left hand and with his right he seems to be doing a tap dance on my shoulder. 
"Care for a little song and a dance?"
"Your head on a lance?"
"How comedic"
Stolsky smashes his beer bottle and makes it into a shanker. While I grabbed the chair. And smacked it at the crazed bard. He dodges it and pulls out the strangest looking gun. He pulls the trigger and a ray of what can only be described as heat hits and ignites my chair. I throw the chair at him. He dodges it again and plays with his fiddle and from out of the fire comes chittering like that of a combination of chattering of rats and hisses of cockroaches. From which the embers and sparks coalesce into creatures of fire. The flames on the chair seeming to give birth to these creatures as the bard sings and they hop off the chair and run and scamper, sparks flying as they hop all over the bar. Their hissing and what appears to be cackling permeating the bar as much as their heat. Stolsky runs to the door but gets blocked by a sea of fire out of control. Then the demonic live sparks jump in sadistic glee onto Stolsky and slice chunks of him with their little teeth and claws. Stolsky writhes in pain as he is covered in demonic hellfire. I look at this in horror as I feel coldness in my gut region. A stinging sensation as I fall to the ground. I look at my stomach and see a giant hole where my stomach organs would be. I close my eyes for my last time.

I open my eyes. It's dark and shady like that of being under a tree canopy.  I get up and look around. This is a tree canopy but all the leaves have rotted on the stem. Then I notice I'm not alone as what can only be described as a bird appears. It's feathers are mostly molted. It's head half decayed and it's missing its eye. It stinks of decay and gore.
"I am the force that's after death. I am the one who breathes life after death. I am rot and decay. I am the Vulture and by extension so are you. You may think this is redemption but that's long past. It is your job to hasten the demise of this universe so that it begins anew."

With that it swoops on me with its gore covered claws. I scream as it reaches for my throat. I wake up for real and notice the hole in my gut is gone. I'm in a hospital bed and covered in feather. Dark feather ,and right next to me on the bed is a mattock.

The story has circulated that 9 unidentified men and women went to neighborhoods composed of immigrants and killed a lot of people. The only survivors of the massacre were Taylor and Christopher West, Kirin Khalen,Khan and Con Con ,Delilah Cross and finally Ribbon Tsugare. All of witnesses have been sworn. The survivors have all been reported missing. Soon after midnight. And even the witnesses themselves have gone missing a short time later. Before they disappeared it was said the Stringer Street survivors, left for beyond the veil or at least went underground. For they have come upon a discovery that will shake the land itself and beyond.

Ribbon Tsugare woke up her body was sore all over and she had a head that felt like it's been pounded with mallets. And as she rose and got her bearings she saw six others. Their breathing groggy. And they to woke up and saw all others still unconscious. Every person saw that they were in what appears to be a long dark tunnel. They were alone and any attempts to wake the others up did not even elicit a groan. So they wandered aimlessly. Ribbon walked until she heard music, music all around her. A heavenly melody, like that of an choir. She was hearing Gregorian chants, gospel music, rap, pop, blues even metal. All heard at once but you would feel that you are a hearing to a certain genre and not the rest. So overpowering was this rapture from the heavens. Ribbon closed her eyes concentrating on every melody. And when she opened them again she was standing in a courtyard. A courtyard of angels in choir booths. Their were angels wearing what they wore in life, some were wearing robes and some wore nothing at all. Some had wings and some floated in the air without them. They were all singing until they noticed Ribbon and they danced and jumped for joy. And came to her with nothing but love. Many came to her with warnings, others kindly advice and others she recognized were her own family who have come so she would remember what she must do.

Ribbon awoke alone, she was back on her bed in her house. And lying at the foot of her bed was a case containing a flute with music sheets written in the tongue of angels. Somehow she was able to read it. Almost intuitively.

Kirin wandered aimlessly through a storm of elements. The earth beneath his feet turns into water then to lava and then back to earth. The air is cool as the wind blows,yet meteors fall from the sky. Fissures are erupting lava, others are geysers shooting out ice cold ice. It's as if somebody mashed all the elements in this wild landscape. And from out of the elements a being of pure elemental force arises, a being made of earth, water, air and fire all mashed up together like Frankenstein. and in her hands she carries a biwa. Instinctively Kirin takes it. And as he takes it he hears millions of voices emanating from the instrument. It's as if the guitar is a living breathing being. It whispers to him. Giving him the knowledge of how to use the guitar and also that he has an important role to play in the creation of the multiverse. He is to join the people known as the Champions of Light. At which point he wakes up on his couch a guitar strapped to his chest.

Taylor opened her eyes, she was in a forest. Birds chirping a waterfall is heard in the distance. Her area which was a clearing was surrounded by red and blue berry bushes. The sun shines above her. And before she moves, she hears the sound of music of flutes of all sorts pan flutes, oboes, clarinets, reed flute. The bushes part themselves of their own accord and their are animals. Animals walking on two legs. Animals with close human anatomy. Fur, claws, teeth, snouts. But human hands and legs albeit furry ones. They prance about performing for Taylor blowing in their flutes. Taylor is in euphoria as she dances before hitting the floor unconscious. She wakes up before a grove of trees. The animals are gone. They have faces in their bark shaped like a human. Taylor takes a closer look. And she jumps as the tree trunk speaks to her.

She sits down and occasionally they have her apples and other fruit as snacks while she listens.
They speak to her of her part in the multiverse to come and that she must unite the good children of nature together. There is a war for the multiverse  and nature must be preserved in the next multiverse. So she wakes up on a park bench, laid right next to her is a wood case that contains a flute and sheet music. Written in a sort of levity, it was as if the writer was writing while excited. The music notes seem to frolic on the paper. But it's content was at the same time serious. Reading as though she could understand it she ran home flute case in hand.


Meanwhile, a body of a boy can be seen in the darkness it rises up into the sky beyond to the places where mortals are not to go and if known would not tread. Taken by the force known as Daemeion he has been transported to the realm of darkness.

In Abel, a boy is walking down the beach when he spots something on the sandy shore. It's a guitar. He picks it and strums it and he vanishes, seemingly with the tides.

Hiligree is a place of music and neon lights. Self indulgence is at its finest here and the art and food are great. It is a place of the talented. Where creativity is responsible for everything. Fast cars and beautiful women. Peace and love. For the most part.

Cydnie sits down in her English class, but after the weekend the band had, it's difficult for her to pay attention. The teacher drones on about gerunds, but the only one on her mind is playing. Namely, playing for tens of thousands of screaming fans. Her duality festers, however, for while she dreams of shredding her guitar and screaming so loud her microphone gives out, she fears that with stardom, someone will want to destroy her life. She worries about the bullies from her childhood turning into tabloids.
"Hey Cyd," the tall, surfer-looking student sitting adjacent to her goads her back to reality. "Stella's in your band, right?"
"Uhh yeah, Taylor, why?" Cydnie inquires.
"I was wondering if you could pass this along for me?" Taylor requests before moving his hand to reveal a note.
Cydnie glances at their teacher to see if they've been noticed before turning back to him. " She didn't give you her number?"
"She had to get to the stage before I got the chance to ask."
"Alright, I'll get it to her." Cydnie agrees as he sneaks the folded note to her.
[DAMIEN]

The clock ticks ever slowly as Damien slumps through Spanish. "I swear if I hear any more about grammar, I'm gonna blow my brains out," he mutters. Never one to care for his required languages, he's spending his time writing down lyrics in places of notes. A folded piece of paper makes its way across his notebook, meant for him. He sits up from slouching on his elbows and unfolds the paper.
	'Tell your he-she friend that he sucks at playing guitar'
Immediately Damien crumples the note up and looks over at Kate. With the chemistry teacher's attention on the whiteboard, Damien balls a fist then pretends to crank it to extend his middle finger at Kate. In turn, Kate flips him the bird quickly before going back to her notes. As the bell rings, Damien is stopped by the teacher. "Mr. Stubbs, a word."
"Here we go," he grumbles just as he reaches the door. Damien leans on the frame, backpack hanging from one shoulder, ready to get his earful from the teacher. 'Whatcha need?"
"Just wanted to congratulate you on your performance at the bash this past Saturday."
"Oh, you were there?"
"School events have to be monitored by school staff, after all," the teacher explains. "Just remember to put that kind of effort into your schoolwork as well."
"I don't think it'll matter if we make it big," Damien mistakenly blurts.
"I remember being that young," the grizzled teacher reminisces. He sits down in his chair and pulls open a drawer to reveal a worn picture in a frame. He eyes it for a moment before handing it to Damien. He looks over it and realizes it's his teacher. He's playing bass, back against the back of a singer.
"What happened?"
"Nothing happened," he tells Damien. "People just get older. Their focuses change. I had fun, but I realized it wasn't what I wanted to be doing when I'm 60." Damien hands him back his picture and thinks about those words as he slowly leaves the room. Kate, however, is waiting patiently for him.
"Oh, can you please fuck off anywhere else?" Damien brings his backpack over both shoulders as he continues to lunch. Kate follows alongside him, clad in her cheerleader uniform.
"Oh, come on," she jeers. "We were such good friends growing up."
"Yeah, all it took to change that was another girl, so shallow."
"He is nothing short of a tragedy," Kate berates.
"Imagine how good of friends you two could be if you put this kind of headway into staying in your lane." The two reach the ground floor and pass Cydnie as she enters the main building from the fine arts building. "And look who it is, well this sure has been fun, but I have better people to talk to. Take care now, bye bye then." Kate sneers and takes her leave as the two make their way to lunch. 
"Thinking about joining the dark side?" Cydnie asks.
"And miss my shot at a guitar battle with you in Times Square?" Damien asks as he wraps a shoulder around his friend.
"Well, when you put it like that," Cydnie muses as the two laugh. "So what was that all about?" Damien and Cydnie enter the cafeterias and go to the main room to get in line as they see Eric and Victoria on another freshman date in a booth of their own.
	"Oh, just your number one fan trying to be club president again."
"Oh, so more 'he's trash' and 'when's he gonna stop' nonsense?" Cydnie grabs a tray as they reach the food.
"This time she said you suck at playing guitar," Damien remarks as he looks away from the raging inferno he sparked.
"Oh, I am gonna cut a bitch!" Cydnie starts. "I have more playing ability in my toe than she has in her body!"
"Humble one, aren't you?" Damien jests. "Look, it's just Kate. She's been your worst enemy since Washington. Are you really mad that the cheerleaders don't like you?"
"It's more than that, and you know it."
"Yes, the mystical Krystal, and when are you gonna shoot her a message again?"	Cydnie's shoot wide open.
"Crap, I forgot to give Stella that note during chorale!" she groans as they reach the register. She pulls it out along with her ID to pay for her food.
"Who still uses notes?" Damien asks as he scans his ID and the two leave to go find a place to sit.
"It's really kind of sweet, and he didn't get her number during the back to school bash." Cydnie eyes a table by the window and points it out. "Oh, there's one!"
"Aww man, a table? We can't get a booth?" he mutters.
"Hey, you know the rules: Booths are for couples."
[ERIC]

Eric and Victoria joke around about their classes. After a moment, while Eric takes a bite, Victoria grabs his free hand. "Whatcha thinking about?" he asks.
"Just... you," she says with a smile. Oblivious, Eric just gives her a big smile, giving her a laugh. "You know I love you."
"Yeah, I love you too," he tells her back.
"So... maybe we could push our relationship further."
"Oh... oh really?" Eric smirks back at her. 
[DAMIEN and CYDNIE]

Damien glances over at them and notices the change himself. "Uh oh," he mentions.
"What's up?" Cyd asks as she takes a bite of her food.
"Eric and Victoria."
"What about them?"
"They're being all lovey-dovey and gross."
"They're dating," Cydnie says. While Damien continues to watch, Cyd manages to steal one of his fries.
"Hey!" Damien steals a chicken tender off her tray in vengeance. "You keep that up, people gonna think I'm with you."
"Gross!" Cydnie laughs. "I'm eating here!" The two laugh as they watch Eric. "Still though, Eric and Victoria have been together for almost a year. Chances are Victoria is gonna want something special for their anniversary."
"Hm. Get it, E."
"Dude, gross!" Cydnie reaches over the table and bats his shoulder. "They're fourteen!"
"I'm just saying, if E gets it, good for him."
"Boys, I swear."
"And what's your excuse?"
"D, you corrupted me. The first time I was ever over at your house, we ended up watching your favorite scary movie because there were boobs."
"I recall you being just as excited, gay," Damien chides.
"I'll admit: boobs are awesome. That being said, I have my own now," Cydnie adds as she jokingly points at her chest.
"Ugh gross! Cyd boobs!" The two laugh again and finish their lunch. "Hey, you still need to give Stella that note, right? I can give it to her in history."
"Oh dude, thanks," Cyd hands Damien the note as the two join Eric and Victoria at the trash. "You fine kids have a good lunch?"
"Oh, the best," Eric jokes. "Was thinking about getting seconds."
"You're a braver man than I," Cydnie jokes.
"That's one way to say it!" All four laugh as they separate and walk to their respective classes.
[STELLA and DAMIEN]

Damien finds Stella in his next class toward the back. "Hey, Stella."
"Hm? What's up, Damien?" she asks.
"This is from Taylor," he says as he hands her the note.
"Oh. Thanks." Stella takes the note and reads through it while Damien gets his notebook out. "Aww, it's his phone number."
"It's a pandemic, I swear." Damien remarks as he leans back.
"What? Like there's no one you want to be with." Stella asks as she puts Taylor's number and sends him a text. Heya handsome.
Hey cutie Taylor texts back.
"Not saying that. Just saying it's difficult when the only feminine attention I'm getting is either you, Cyd, or Kate."
"I see the issue already."
"Right? There is this one girl I've seen eyeing me though. Name's Angie or something like that."
"Pembroke?"
"Yeah!" Damien exclaims as he turns around.
"I'd avoid that. From what I've heard, it's like throwing a hotdog down a hallway."
"Woof, nevermind."
"Just keep an eye out. Hell, I'm sure Cyd would even help. She is allowed in the girls' bathrooms here, she can listen in."
"I'm sure that just gets Kate right off." Stella laughs a bit too hard, causing the teacher to give the two a stern look.
"Sorry, Coach Shrike," they say in unison.
[AAR]

The band find themselves back in the garage one weekend in toward the end of September. They're practicing their next song, Breaking and Entering. After creating a beat for Damien to sing to, he spent a solid hour doing different takes. He does his umpteenth take, then comes out of the booth exhausted. "I just don't feel it like I did when I wrote it," he explains as he goes to the kitchen for tea. The other three groan. Stella slumps in her chair.
With irritation, she says, "He has done 20 takes now. What is it gonna take for him to okay this song?"
"I don't know, but I can't work on anything else until he gets it done," Cydnie says while she looks over the different tracks. Stella looks over the lyrics he wrote, realizing exactly what the song is about.
"Oh my god, that sneaky little shit," she remarks. Damien comes back into the garage and sits in his chair.
"Hey, I'm sorry I can't seem to get this song down, but I know I'm close," Damien apologizes as he rests his elbows on his knees. He notices Stella marking his notebook and gets a little confused. "What are you doing?"
Stella stands right up with a pen in her hand. "Shut up and get in the booth," she says as she opens the door. Damien furrows his brow and stands up. With the two inside, he finally looks over her additions.
"What did you do?" he asks.
"I turned your song into a duet," Stella explains. "I marked my lines in red, so just do what you did and when it gets to the red parts, I'll take my turn. Cyd, you listening?"
Cydnie gives the two a thumbs up. "Ready when you are!"
"Start the track," they say in unison. The opening begins and Stella sings the chorus with Damien following along in the verse. What started as Damien singing about his feelings toward relationships as a whole becomes a conversation between two bitter exes. It hits deep and hits very differently than before, but it is exactly what Damien wanted to explain. Damien finishes his chorus and Stella takes over for her verse. She sings in response to his first verse about how things aren't always black and white. She sings about her past hurt and stress in a love life and trusting others. As they do this, Cydnie thinks up a piercing solo to match the energy. They finish the song with singing the chorus together as if they're just yelling at each other. Once done, the two finally come out of the booth and Damien yells at Cydnie, "that is the track!"
"Deal," she says as Eric immediately runs in to record drums and Cydnie with guitar right over the lyrics.
"Are you guys really on this?" Stella asks.
"Yes!" the two yell back as Eric shuts the door and repositions the microphones. Breaking and Entering quickly becomes they're favorite song they've produced.
"Good, we're both up." Damien and Stella got up and went into the booth. They moved the microphones from the drum kit up to themselves. They signaled ready to go and Cydnie queued up an instrumental version of the song. The first time they came in late and had to start over. The second time they were flat. "Come on, guys, you can do this. Just remember when we played the talent show," Cydnie tried to encourage. With a hum and a look of determination Stella stepped away from her mic over to Damien's. "What's up?" he asked. "Play the song," Stella said with a thumbs up. Cydnie shrugged and pressed play and Damien came in right on time. Stella stood opposite him, sharing the mic as if they were arguing. Damien started to get into it and argued back his lines. By the time they were done, Cydnie was clapping from the board. "That was awesome guys!" she said. The two came out of the booth and Damien bowed. Stella elbowed him. "Alright, smartass," Stella said before turning back to Cydnie. "What do we have left to do?"

On the synchronous orbit, a large hibernation chamber was shipped into a heavily guarded laboratory. The frozen specimen was the Mars species from tens of millions of kilometers away - Devil Worm.
At the same time, scientists from the major member states of the Earth Defense Alliance gathered here.
These scientists covered a wide range of fields that could help with the research. Their fields included biology, chemistry, and other related fields. Each person was also authoritative and well-respected in their respective fields. After all, spots were limited and each country only received a few spots to divide among universities, research centers, and scientific research institutions. Even to save their face, it would be foolish to send a nobody.
The flow of the experiment was carried out in the order agreed upon.
The entire specimen was strictly enclosed in the isolation room, and all members must wear protective clothing when sampling or experimenting in the room. Only one person was to enter the lab at any time with at most one assistant. No items in the lab were to be removed and all apparatus were to be destroyed after the experiment.
This strict policy was due to the uncertainty of the Devil Worm's body carrying viruses, bacteria, or microorganisms that may threaten the ecosystem on Earth.
It was not a joke.
No one knew if the species that "traveled" through time three billion years ago possessed any obscure traits. Maybe bacteria in its intestines that facilitated digestion would be a biological weapon on Earth that could completely wipe out an endangered species.
In short, the experiment began under strict rules.
The first subject to be studied was its blood.
"...its blood is highly corrosive, and it contains an organic acid that we have never seen before...unbelievable, it is more corrosive than trifluoromethanesulfonic acid!" As he examined the data displayed, Chemist Verdell Taylor from Frankberg exclaimed.
There were shocked voices when they heard the words through the speaker.
It was well known that trifluoromethanesulfonic acid is almost the strongest organic acid known. Not only was it widely used in medicine and chemicals. It could replace traditional sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other traditional inorganic acids in many occasions to optimize and improve the process!
However, after the organic acid in the blood of Devil Worm was separated and purified, it was even more corrosive than trifluoromethanesulfonic acid!
This discovery alone was enough to have a substantial impact on the chemical industry. In the foreseeable future, after this news gets released, the chemical companies around the world would use every means they could to learn about the chemical formula of this new type of organic acid, and then research its application and production methods.
The fervor in everyone's eyes suddenly grew brighter.
Just then, a biologist from Russia spoke out.
"What name should we give to this acid?"
The room was silent, to the point where one could hear a single needle drop on the ground.
This sentence made everyone, including Verdell Taylor in the isolation room, silent. The way everyone looked at the test tube was different.
According to the rules of the scientific community, in general, whoever made the discovery received the naming rights. However, there were more than 50 scientists in this lab. They were all participating in the experiment, and all possessed a significant influence in the international scientific community.
If the acid was named Taylor Acid just because Verdell Taylor conducted the acidity test, the scientists would be not be convinced.
Separation, purification, and measurement of pH, any one of their students could have done that!
Verdell Taylor, in his protective clothing, apparently realized this. He looked at Jiang Chen outside the room and wisely kicked the ball to the top dog. Effectively removing himself from the jealous and unconvinced gazes from his peers.
"I think we should ask Celestial Trade for its opinion, after all, they found and collected the specimen..."
This proposal barely got the nod of approval from the scientists.
They also realized that it was a difficult problem to solve. Whoever receiving the naming rights would offend everyone else.
 "I agree."
"You're right. Celestial Trade discovered it after all."
"No comments."
Jiang Chen took a moment to process while he was under the watch of the scientists around the room.
He was just there. What kind of opinion could he have?
However, since others have asked this question, he decided to respect them. He lowered his head and pondered for a moment, and then said.
"Let's call it Devil Acid, as for the patent... give it to the Earth Defense Alliance Foundation."
"..."
Jiang Chen's words silenced all the scientists, and they all simultaneously sighed in helplessness.
This was a chance to win the Nobel Prize and be remembered in history, but the name ended by being... um, so sloppy.
People say that Celestial Trade's president did not have the best taste in names, it certainly showed today.
However, unlike those scientists who were sighing in grief, Jiang Chen was quite pleased with his name.

"It's incredible! This blood cell morphology has completely refreshed my understanding of biology... It can complete life activities in such an extreme acid-alkaline environment!"
"Its blood vessels can block hydrogen ions from entering tissue cells, but it doesn't interfere with the exchange of blood cells to the blood vessel. It's impossible... it's too unscientific!"
"Let me take a sample again! Just once! I just found something incredibly important! This is what I have been studying! I need to—"
"Hurry up! That subject is over. No matter what you found, go to the back of the line!"
"Yes! Don't waste everyone's time!"

Jiang Chen looked at the zealous scientists and was quite dumbfounded.

I wanted to stop her, "I'm not interested. So please can you put that away? I'm only here for Madonna, and not playing guitar." I gave my whole attention to Madonna, she meowed at me and that made her look cute. I really want to get her home. If I only managed to catch her before she turned into that neighborhood, maybe I was the one who would own her, but that didn't happen.


She took Madonna away from me, "If you are not going to do it, then I won't let you see Janela!" she was glaring at me. Why would she force that on me? I already said no, why can't she take that? "I'm not joking, Jax. Can you please learn one song from me and then I won't force you again if you are not really interested? Please? I want to see you holding a guitar, probably strumming it, that would look good on you." I wanted to say something but she keeps on talking, "You look so scary... you know what I mean? "I am not going give up on you... I will make you play this thing," she slightly raised the guitar, "This guitar! I really think you would be amazing with it... please try, can you? Uh?" and I still don't get it, why people always forcing me on something I clearly said that I don't want to do? Is this the kind of society now? Telling people what to do? I decided, "I'm going now. It's time for me to go home." I don't want to hear anything from her... I just want to stay like this. I'm fine with this.

This is the first time that I held a guitar. July 09, 2020... Thursday, in a cat café. Madonna meowed at me, I've been with cats for more than ten years so she was literally saying that she's cheering me up. I understand cat language. That's right, my little sister is looking at me. One of the customers got angry, "Will you please be quiet while watching the show? I can't get to hear his voice. You are so loud!"


"Oops, sorry..." Jake just focused on sipping his bubble tea.

I had this feeling that I want to crush you while Angela is guiding your finger on the chords... how lucky you are. Look, Angela is the goddess in the school, everyone hailed her for it... and she just wasted a time on you... to teach how to play the guitar? A weird man, like you? But... I'm not going to hate you on that. It's true that you have some connection to the guitar... like you can do everything with it. That's a compliment because I can see what a person can do." And there he goes with his long talk, "For example, Asphalto... he may be a bad lyricist today... but after seeing his hard work... I know he can make it. He can make a hit song for the band. I remember my dream. And for you... though you detest it... it's like you have to touch the guitar... and once you will learn how to play it... you can't take it off from your life. You need it."


I looked at the night sky, and for the first time of my life, I felt this way.

Dad meowed.


"So do you think I should just go on with it? Angela wants me to learn a new song. The title is 'You belong with me', by Taylor Swift. Do you think I have to listen to it now? So far, I've tried learning a few chords. It's exactly, G D Em, C and A. Five in a row. My fingers hurt."


Benjamin walked in, there was something in his mouth. "Hey, buddy. What have got there in your mouth?" it was a guitar pick. "Where did you get this? Oh, did you think it was food? You must be so hungry." Benjamin answered back with a soft sound. And he began clinging on me. When he's like this, he wants me to tuck him in. "Hey, are you also forcing me to learn it?"

"Before that?" Crimo waited.


"I will try to learn how to play the guitar."


"Oh." – Aspalto.


"Yeah," – Crimo.


Jake was almost crying, "You made the right decision, Lord Jaxus! Welcome to the band!" he hugged me. I almost lost my breath. Asphalto knocked him off, "Idiot, why are you crying like that? You look so ugly." Crimo faced me, "So, you finally decided on it. I want to see how hard you can get. Once you are in our band, you have to do everything you can. And let me remind you, you can't leave once you joined." He started threatening me, "And that means, you can't take back what you had said."


Jake can't contain with just one hug, "I'm so happy! You made the right decision! I'm pretty sure you will get better at it! You will master it, Lord Jaxus!"

"So, since the positions of the band have been completed, let's decided now the name of our band. We can't go on with nameless, we have to do a live performance on the streets and someone will say, what is the name of your band? I believe we have to answer that." Asphalto said. He raised a brow, "Any suggestions?"


"Uhm, let's get clear with the positions first. I am the bassist, it's obvious, right? And I don't want to be the leader of the band... I'm bad at leadership." Crimo seconded.


"I'm the drummer, I promise I will hit the drums more accurately," Jake said and he began hitting his drumsticks on the table. "Stop it, Jake!" Crimo interrupted. "And Lord Jaxus is the guitarist." Asphalto looked at me, "But you need to master the guitar right away. In a few months, we would be doing our practices now and at the same time, perform with an audience." Crimo decided, "Since you thought of that timeline very well, you take the leader position, Asphalto." Jake agreed, "Yeah, I think you would lead our band great. We believe in you."


"Do you have any objections, Lord Jaxus?"


What's with the Lord on my name? I don't know if I made the right decision, suddenly the fear is constantly eating me. What if this thing will take something from me? I'm happy what I am right now. And I don't want to throw it all away.

"Wait, Lord Jaxus asked how much is the guitar right now," Jake said. Asphalto thought about it, "I don't know... but there are cheap second had guitars available on electronics shop. I've seen it. But if you want high quality, you would choose popular brands... like Taylor Guitars, Fender, PRS... oh wait, what do you mean? Do you mean electric guitars? Or just a classic guitar? Or acoustic?" Crimo added, "I've mastered bass and I've always watched live performances of rock bands and I believe he has to own those things, I even had my acoustic bass. The cost might probably be a thousand dollars."

"So let's decide now the name of our band." Asphalto changed the topic.

"Don't get angry, Crimo. Let him speak first." Asphalto hushed him down. "So, Jake... tell us your idea."


"Uhm... since we have our own sad experiences... and we both felt another kind of misery... like for example, let's start with Asphalto... he was bereaved after his parents were murdered. He has another sad story to tell to everyone... he felt being lonely... alone in the dark. He's that kind of island that somebody has to reach. In Crimo's case... he is an ex-convict..." Crimo was angry, "What do you mean ex-convict? I am not an ex-convict!" Asphalto had managed to take him back to his seat, "Calm down, calm down. It's true that you've been jailed but Mrs. Garber made a way to let you out. So let's not put greed on that, okay?" Crimo nodded, "Okay,"


Jake continued, "And in my case, the reason why I cut my wrist long ago... it's that I hate the feeling of being alone... and I want someone to be with me... so I tried to gain attention by cutting my wrist. Good thing that the nurses in the hospital are all understanding... but there are days that I want to quit the feeling of being aloof... so I wondered what's like being in the afterlife... and what kind of life will I have there if there's a life waiting for me... and to sum it up! Asphalto is an island that is needed to be discovered, Crimo is an island that has been imprisoned of past mistakes, and I was another island that needs to be connected to another island... and lastly, Lord Jaxus is a new island with spooky features that no one will ever want to enter it because it will become their death. He's a dangerous island but... I can say that he's not. But from the perspective of people, they would think that he's a criminal or something because of his look and personality. We are all an island. And we formed a rock band because we don't want to be an island forever. We want to shout to the world that we will never ever be an island. Let's never be an island... let's build bridges on every island... and let's not burn them down."


"That's kind of creative on your part," Asphalto commended him.


"Yeah, even the real meaning sounds so depressing, I think that's a good idea. So the name you are proposing is..."


"Never Island." he was proud of it, "We are never an island."
