A sigh escaped Alice's lips.  It was one of the numerous sighs she has made in the past few minutes when she first read the <Stranger Danger> title.  All the things that has happened so far were miles away from what she goes through in other MMORPG where there are quest markers for quests and that the NPCs were supposed to be generally welcoming.  This game is definitely different.

As she continues walking around the forest she saw three insects scurrying about ahead.  She looked at the monster and saw a read name floating above it as well as a health bar.

As the name suggest.  The beetles were blue with some black spots.  They're about as big as an adult cat in real life and they just scurry back and forth carrying some sort of goo.

Alice wanted to fight the beetles.  She knew that these were probably the weakest monster in forest and therefore, shouldn't be much of a problem.  However, when she checked her inventory, she found that she has no weapon nor armour whatsoever.  The items she was wearing were the  generic tunic given in character creation.

God damn it.  Alice screamed internally.  Forgetting basic weapons and armour is such a noob mistake and she isn't supposed to make these mistakes anymore.  She was a gamer before she even became a successful person.

Alice cannot help but grumble about the <Stranger Danger> title.  She became so flustered when she heard the children screaming those damned words towards her, resulting to her running blindly into the forest without any preparation whatsoever.

Alice decided to leave the beetles alone and turn back towards the village.  It didn't take long though for her to lost her way and wander around the forest without a sense of where she was going inside the forest.

As Alice was wandering around Evergreen Forest, she unknowingly keep on walking deeper and deeper into the forest.  It didn't take long for her to arrive in a clearing full of flowers and in the middle of it was a beautiful woman.

The woman can easily be mistaken for a human except for the fact that she has clear wings, like those of dragonflies.  What Alice is seeing is a fairy.

This discovery got Alice excited.  It was a fairy!  A motherfreaking fairy!!  It was every girl's dream to see one, notwithstanding Alice who is an adult but still, for Alice who failed to shed her inner little girl, this was amazing.

It didn't take long, however, for Alice's fantasy to be broken.  Floating above the fairy's head was a bright gold name.

It was a boss!  Alice was starting to seriously doubt her luck.  She was a beginner with no armour, weapon, or support item with her, in the middle of the forest, near a level 30 boss.

The only good thing happening for her is the fact that the boss still haven't noticed her presence.  This small consolation is thoroughly exploited by Alice.  She stepped away from the boss, until she was in a considerable distance, and then hid behind a tree.

"System – Log Out" Alice spoke.  Her vision blackened followed by some system prompt.

After these prompts, Alice removed her VR gear and got up from her bed.  She looked around first to reorientate herself to the real world, before her eyes landed on her clock near her bed.

9:15 PM

She has been playing the game for 30 minutes IRL but in game it felt like 2 hours has passed.  This gave Alice the time discrepancy between the real world and the game.  An hour IRL is 4 hours in game.

Alice sighed.  She knew she has to do whatever she has to do IRL fast.

Standing up, Alice walked out of her room.

Welcome to a small wedge of a book series is to come. This book isn't even the first in the timeline of things. However starting here can make sense of the laws and creatures encountered in other books. 

Some of the volumes could each be considered its own book. Some views of the same event aren't always written the same ways. Some chapters will inevitably be repeated in other books. As the series as a whole wasn't intended to be posted online originally. 

The concepts touched on are just imagination and theories in a sort of storyline. I mean no disrespect towards anyone. So enjoy with a side of salt and open mindedness. Discussion is how always to resolve misunderstanding. 

Disclaimer for any spelling or grammar errors. I use writing stories as a way to counter my dyslexia. It also seems that my dyslexia has its way of telling any sort of story in the wrong order. I guess this is how I ended up with 20 books to edit and post.

Gusion goes back to the police station and asks about the status of the investigation on their case but just like what they always say, still nothing yet.

  He then leaves the station to go to his usual spot to perform. 
  "It kinda feels like I'm in a loop." Gusion sighs, "Time to perform, again!"

  Heading to his usual spot for his performance he saw a crowd of people clapping and laughing, he got curious about what they are watching so he joins them. He saw someone, a performer just like him,  a magician. People were laughing as the stranger performs. They almost have the same tricks but the stranger has a lot more under his sleeves and every time he does an act he makes the crowd laugh. 

  After the performance, Gusion heads to the stranger's tent and confronts the stranger for performing on his usual spot.
  The stranger tells him, "Hey kid this is a free country;  You do not own this place, just like you I need to earn money.
  Gusion tells the stranger to find another spot. The stranger packs his things and stays a little bit to watch Gusion's performance.
  Gusion then starts to perform but sadly the audiences booed him and walk away. He still continues to perform even though there are only a few people left to watch his performance. He blames the stranger for doing an act on his spot. Now he only got few audiences.

  After the act,  Gusion sees the stranger again so he confronts him to tell that it is his fault. Again the stranger tells Gusion that, "Kid this is a free country, I do not even know that you always perform on that spot,  I am sorry."

  Gusion suddenly asks the stranger about his trick, "The way you perform out there, are you a professional magician?"
  Stranger answers, "Magician?, I don't think it is the right word; I would rather use the title "Illusionist" than Magician, because all the acts we do are just illusions, we only want them to see what we want them to see, that there is magic, but the truth is we only confuse the audience for them to say that it is magic; One example is the sleight of hand; As we do the trick, we want them to follow our movements, so they will, then we'll use a distraction for them to be confused how we did the trick; Sometimes we use props and sometimes we pay some participants to join us do the trick. There are so much more tricks some illusionist use." 
  Gusion asks, "So there is no magic? 
  The stranger laughs and replies, "There is magic; no there is no magic." The stranger just revokes what he said while laughing.
  Stranger whispers, "If you only knew that "Prodigies" like us do exist. "
  Gusion whispers, "Crazy old man!"
  "Are you saying something kid?", Stranger asks. 

  After the conversation about magic, Gusion decides to ask the stranger to teach him more magic tricks but the stranger says, 
  "No!". 
  Gusion begs and keeps on begging the stranger. 
  The stranger then asks him, "What are you doing out here wasting your time performing; You should be with your family playing games, not here in the streets wasting time; Where are your parents? " 
  Gusion bows down and cries, "You're right!; I should be with them right now but it won't happen anymore; My parents are dead, my brother and sister got abducted. So I am here alone doing whatever it takes to earn money for me to survive every day, earn money to find those criminals and to find Harith and Oddette. I perform here almost every day but same tricks same act, maybe it is the reason why audiences find it boring cause it is the same act as yesterday so I am begging you to teach me more magic tricks. Please! "
  The stranger tells Gusion that he is feeling sorry about what he just heard and about what happened in Gusion's past. The stranger breaths heavily and starts to think as he looks on Gusion's eyes. Stranger sighs, "Okay, I will." He then decides to teach him more, but have conditions.
  "First I need you to show me that you are worthy to be my apprentice. Second I want you to put all those miseries away while you perform. Third! Last but not least, I need a place to sleep."
  Gusion smiles, "Is that all? "
  "Wait, Do you want me to add more,  Do you want me to teach you or let's just forget we met?", Stranger jokes on Gusion.
  
  "I'm Faramis by the way; what's your name kid? ", -Stranger
   "My name is Gusion; Call me Gus if you like. ", -Gusion
  Stranger jokes again, "I thought "Gas" are invisible, wait if I light you up will you explode?"
   "Nya..ha.. ha.. ha.... haaaa, is that a joke? It is not that funny,  Crazy old man.!", -Gusion

The story of a boy named Gusion who had a happy family but was ruined by a group of criminals. He decided to find these criminals who killed his parents and abducted his sister and brother. While in search of those criminals he will meet someone who holds the truth about his past and who he really is that will change his life forever. Along the way to find those criminals he joined a group of magical assassins called "Twilight Phantom". Then he will discover a world he never knew exists.


"Ok, Diablo I'll just let you know I might as well play along." Said Haruko. "Anyway, I might as well go home, if I stay at Harumei's place call me a dead man and just kill me in my sleep." Added Haruko. "What ever say Haruko-boy." Responded Hoshiro. "And why do you call me'-boy' what's up with that?" Asked Haruko. "It's a personal Honorific." Replied Hoshiro. "Oh, that's what it is well, later you can rest now, Hoshiro." Said Haruko. "I know, I know do treat me like how your wife does to you." Said Hoshiro as he parted. Haruko arrives home. "Haruko! Where have you been?" Said Yurēi Angrily. "I was non-ya." Said Haruko. "Non-ya?" Asked Yurēi confused. "Non-ya business." Said Haruko sarcastically. Yurēi slaps Haruko on his Left cheek. "Stop, being like that, the Girls where worried about you." Claimed Yurēi. "Either they lied or you lied for them" Said Haruko sarcastically. Yurēi slaps Haruko's right cheek. "I said stop being like that." Said Yurēi. "Why, do you even want to know, it's not like you care anyways." Said Haruko. "Yurēi burst her fist upwards towards Haruko's jaw, making his fall backwards. "You're a disappointment, Haruko." Said Yurēi as she walked into the house. Black fills his mind but fades. "Well, there goes my relationship." Said Haruko. Walking towards to forest being deeply attracted towards the direction for no explicit reason this, mind flooded with a imagine of him walking further in his direction falling into a ditch and getting impaled by a broken and sharpened tree trunk, he stopped and went back towards his house. "I'm not gonna question what my purpose of living is or if 'Destiny' or 'Fate' is a real thing but what the real value is life is." Haruko thought to himself. "the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. -Job 1:21." Haruko too had thought.

"Well, I am tired, kinda wanna be put out of my misery but it's whatever." Haruko thought. "I could spend the night at Harumei's yet I wasn't planning to especially since it's this late and if I could and did I would just get a painful death." Said Haruko. Tears of blood ran down from his eyes. "Huh? Why am I crying blood? Anyway, I now what I must do but, I don't know if I have the strength to do...that's a lie I'll just go home, but also I don't and I'm hungry so what should I do I mean I could just...Holy Crap I forgot about Busaiku's Investigation." Said Haruko running down from the mountain he walked. He arrived at Busaiku's House. "I'm sorry Harumei I wasn't here on time I didn't mean t-" He was gonna say, before Harumei slapped him. "Hmp, Nothing you say or do can change my mind." Said Harumei. "Is that so?" Said Haruko kicking the back of Harumei's legs which made her fall and Haruko catching her and kissing Harumei. "Wait, stop yourself Haruko you are marr-" Harumei tried to say before he continued kissing her. "This isn't good Haruko just turn the legal age and he is married plus he is, well known around the town if they catch us they call Him a Adulterer and Me a Homewrecker." Harumei thought. "Haruko please stop this if someone catches us then..." Harumei tried to say but, every time she pushed back he kissed harder. "I can't stop his lips are soft and if we do eventually do get  caught both of reputations will be ruined, but I can't back away I'm just getting subsumed in his softness and I can't.." She said as Harumei gave into Haruko's kiss. "And, that's what I think will happen." Haruko explained to Hoshiro. "That...is...seemingly true." Said Hoshiro. "I know right." Said Haruko. "But, if you don't want that to happen do less talking, and more walking." Yelled Hoshiro. "Oh, shèt your right." Said Haruko. "He runs down the mountain from his home to Busaiku's House. "I'm sorry Harumei I wasn't here on time I didn't mean t-" Haruko was trying to say, before Harumei slapped him. "As, shid here we go again." Said Haruko. "No matter what you do or say I'll won't forgive...I mean unless you want to...I mean if...you want...w-want to...we could...we could um, we could...k-" Harumei tried to say. "Kiss?" Asked Haruko. "What?! No, I mean well, you see..." Harumei said as she freaked. "I mean okay." Said Haruko as he kicked Harumei's legs back carrying her as he leaned over to kiss her...but, with his mouth over her mouth making it seems like he kissed he with both Haruko's face pinkish and Harumei's face blood red as she jumps on His back. "Hey, hey idiot I never said that I wanted to kiss you, I wasn't finished with my sentence so how do you know that a 'Kiss' is something I really want?" Complained Harumei. "Fair point." Said Haruko. "Ok, well you perv let's get going." Said Harumei. "Ok." Replied Haruko.

"Sure thing, Mademoiselle." Said Haruko with sarcasm. "Whatever, Haruko. They, look around again double-checking in the light and find nothing. "I can't believe we can't find anything there has to be." Said Harumei. Harumei sees a trail of footprints leading to the forest. "Hey, Haruko I think I see something you stay here I'll be right back." Said Harumei. "Ok, be safe." Said Haruko. Harumei follows the trail of footprints and the Prints come to and end no more after that. "Hey, why did the trails stop out of the blue there should be more but, also there should be small hints unless they were made on purpose...like...reverse psychology." Harumei though to herself. Then, almost immediately she if picked off of the air by a force and get tossed around like a rag doll hitting trees rolling on the ground and her back hitting walls then she gets released on the floor bleeding and extremely hurt. "Well, little girl this unfortunate for you especially since yo took a beating." Said a random voice as the stranger stepped out of the dark forest. "Who...who are you?" Asked Harumei on the floor trying to get up. "Well, that isn't a proper question to ask for a person in a bad position but call me 'Horiku Lotune-orik Perdition Kawagichi' some call me Haruko and some Hoshiro but you may call me Diablo." Said The Stranger.

Said The Stranger as he said that Haruko comes in thrusting a powerful flying side-kick. "Another brat." Said The Stranger. But, unlike Harumei he can see lines of The Stranger's ability and where it's going towards. Haruko dodge the line and asked the stranger. "Hey, is this a Psychokinesis or Self-made Art." Asked Haruko. "That's for me to know, and for you to die not knowing." Yelled The Stranger. "No, but wait Psychokinesis is the regular Spoon-bending and Telepathy reading, but this is at least Gravity Manipulation...but, could it be the 'Seal of Space, abyss and Gravity?' No, because if it was I wouldn't be alive for more than a second of meeting this guy." Haruko thought. Haruko gets close and throws decent punches, but Horiku avoids it and his lines of reach Hanukkah's drag, shoves pushes and pulls his around so hard 2 of his rib crack, and this happens for about 47 seconds. "Okay, boy I'll deal with you later, now watch closely as your friend dies." Said The Stranger. "But, as he tried to stomp on her head, Haruko with his last bit of Energy uses Devil's Doeing: Tailed Armor. (Uses the Tails of Devil's as a shield). But, as it protects Harumei he turns hit attention towards Haruko. "Since, you're still being a brat kid I'll just have to kill you know..." Said The Stranger. "Hey, what is that power? What the hell kind of energy is that." Asked Haruko in pain. "Well, since you're gonna die might as well, you see it's not a Seal nor Grace it's actually just Sluice Energy." Said The Stranger very precise. "Sluice Energy? No way, but how there is no way in hell that's Sluice Energy he must be lying, but hold on Sluice Energy just gives you the ability to The Manipulation of Living and Non-Living or Karma and Natural Things, but if he is telling the truth about Sluice Energy than, this man may be the most strategic and smarter person I have ever faced. "Hey, question..." Said Haruko. "What is it now kid?" Asked The Stranger Horiku. "Well, you see...have you ever heard the calm collecting sounds of chains?" Said Haruko as he started crying out blood. The stranger gets hit with chains. "Well, not just chains but vines, ropes, strings, wire things like that." Said Hanamel as she clearly walked from the shadows of the deep. They had a interesting battle and a intense one too, but The Stranger wounded up disappeared being unable to find. Haruko passed out, then he wakes up in Harumei's house. "Rise and shine little Haruko." Said Hanamel. "Oh, here Haruko I made a potion just so you can get better." Added Hanamel. "Wait, Mama Hanamel, you aren't letting that title of your get to right, you know you aren't actually a witch?" Said Haruko. "I know I mean I made it out of herbs and tampered fruit and vegetables, it sound disgusting but, it good for you so drink up (Green Potion)." Said Hanamel as he drinks the medicine. "So, how do you feel Haruko?" Asked Hanamel. "I feel woozy but, I just wanna go to slee..." Said Haruko as he drifted off too sleep. Hanamel is about to walk out the room until she looks back at sleeping Haruko. "Hey, I never noticed that, must be something new because when, Haruko is sleeping he looks almost...like he looks 'Feminine' to me." Hanamel told herself. "Man, that was the best sleep I got in 6 days, but man my shoulders are stiff and I feel a weight on my chest for some reaso-" Said Haruko as he touched his chest and felt something. "Hey, what this *squish* *squish* heh? Hey, for real is this a prank what are these think oh wait I can just look under my shir-" Added Haruko following up a silent scream. "Ok, okay you know what don't panick you aren't a girl Hanukkah pull it together I could have just been given steroids in that drink and could have grown some humongous ...no, giant?..no, gumongous...that's worse...no, but if it was steroids I would have taken plenty for things to grow...and my voice is squeaky...wait, but there is one more place to check..." Said Haruko. Haruko checks that one last boy place, he is done checking and takes one breath in and one breath out, following up a yell. "What happened? Haruko." Said Hanamel as she sees Haruko rolling around crying. "Mama Hanamel what did you give me I have been turned into...into..." Haruko tried to say. "Into a what?!" Said Hanamel. "Into...A...Girl." Yelled Haruko. "What?!" Screamed Hanamel. "It's your fault Hanamel for giving me that medicine Mama Hanamel, no stupid Hanamel, stupid Hanamel." Whined Haruko as he rolled side to side like a child. "Stupid Hanamel, wait this morning Hanamei, got a potion the same color it was the potion of hermaphrodite and androgynous, but she never told me which one it was." Hanamel Thought. "Be right back darling." Said Hanamel. "Hanamei, what did you do to my precious darling Haruko?" Said Hanamel furiously.

Aside from the 4 skills in the arsenal of a Supreme General, a maxed out character like Feihren has 3 vacant skill slots which allow him to select skills from other classes that he meets the requirements for, with the exception of Ultimate skills. At the moment, he hadn't applied any skills to these free slots.

A calm and composed figure could be seen on the river bank. Not a single motion can be seen aside from his casual breathing.
"Should we approach him? He does not seem to be hostile?" A burly man asked in a quiet voice.
"What choice do we have? We are heavily outnumbered and I can feel that we are still being tailed and chased by our enemies." A petite looking guy in his middle age replied.
A strong looking woman with a heavy build shrugged at the suggestion of the two people hiding with her, saying, "What good is a random stranger to our plight? We better just keep still and hide, what's the point of dragging some stranger into this kind of mess?"
The other two sighed as they remained still and continued hiding.

'Hmm, they're not enemies?' Feihren thought as he saw that the 3 dots on his map turned gray (neutral) while the other 17 things approaching were still showing up as red.
'It seems like they're not together'
Feihren stood up and casually stretched, then proceeded to lie down on the ground with his eyes shut.
The 17 people arrived from the eastern side of the river. By opening one of his eyes, Feihren casually inspected this new group of people who had just rushed over.
"Medieval troops?" A barely audible voice drifted from Feihren. He expected it to be some gang of thief's or even a pack of wild beasts, but military personnel, in the middle of the wilderness? Something feels amiss here, and the fact that they are wearing heavy plated armor. Feihren wondered,
'Is the setting of this world… medieval times? Holy cow, don't tell me there are wizards and magic here too!? And there might even be some sort of demon lords and loli's?'

At a reasonable distance, a troop of cavalry halted as they neared the Jujelei River.
The scouts crossed the river first as the other knights rested and let their horses drink from the river.
The leader of the group, Knight Commander Marvin Mendi, had fixed his gaze upon the only figure he could see on the other side of the riverbank.
"Is that someone there?"
As soon as Marvin let out that inquiry, several other knights turned their heads in the direction of his gaze. One of them asked, "What do you think is he doing there sir? Do you think he belongs to that group of people from the Shodan continent that we were looking for?"
"I do not think so. He seems to be aware of our presence, so if he was one of our enemies, he would have easily distinguished us even from quite some distance. So if he was with that group then he would have been hiding by now, but he seems calm and relaxed" Marvin replied, while still thinking about who the other party might be "Send some of the scouts to that man and ask him the usual questions. Do not act hostile." Marvin is of a high rank, but is in no way a cocky person.
A knight jokingly replied, "If he was really one of the enemies, then by all means, he's the cockiest guy I've ever met."
"I'd respect him for being that stupid" Another knight snorted. Marvin paid no heed to the joking comments and shushed the entire cavalries' collective noise.
Around 20 minutes passed before the scouts that they sent for that stranger reappeared. Shockingly, the scouts brought the stranger back with them. They seemed to carry a hint of pride in their faces as they walk towards the commander.
Marvin sighed inwardly 'Bringing someone unknown in your own camp is pretty dumb! What are these scouts thinking?' But none of these words were said aloud, and he just proceeded to ask the scouts about what they had learned about this mysterious stranger. Looking behind them, the stranger seems to be nonchalantly checking out the surroundings. Neither hostility nor killing intent was emitted by this middle-aged man. Marvin let out a soft sigh of relief.
"Commander Marvin, this man stated that he's a retired general, now living a nomadic life near this region. I doubted some of his words, so we brought him back here for you to verify his story."
'A retired general? He doesn't look that old, does he? And even if it's true, I doubt he still has the prowess he once had since it seems he has been living in the wilderness. But just in case…'

Marvin was extremely confused. What's with all this unrevealed information? He has used this magic item quite a few times before. Even though it is not of the highest tier, it was still in the (Uncommon) tier which is difficult to find and has great effectiveness. But this time it seems to have failed… On top of that, Gama Feihren… Supreme General? How can a title be a paradox?! With all the information not being revealed about this guy, it was hard to assess who he really was. But one thing was easy to decide, he should definitely not provoke this man.

I tried walking, but I fell. I tried for 10 minutes until I got used to moving my new body. It helped a lot when you pictured your front legs as normal arms, but I still walked a little bit awkward and when I tried to run, I fell down.
 
I could not really see what I looked like. I knew I had black scales, pointy spikes going down my back, and a few horns on my head, and I had really sharp claws. I even hurt myself with them because they were so sharp.
After checking my body I thought I should check out my status:

That seems alright. Looks like all the skills are in order, but what does the Dragon Eyes do?

 So, I started walking around the forest and I heard something in the bushes. I immediately sent a fireball that way, then I heard a yelping sound. It was a wolf, and I have the feeling there are more of them around,

[Me] "Wow! That is a lot of levels. I should probably look for those wolves that give a lot of XP." I start to look for more wolves, then I see a small pack of seven wolves standing in an opening. 
 "I should probably try to use my Dragon Eye skill." I use my Dragon Eye skill.
 
Grey Wolf:
Grey wolves are common in forests and can be killed by an adult human as long as they have weapons. But in packs, they are dangerous and could kill a whole village.

"I should watch out, especially for that big one."
 
I summoned eight fire spears above the wolves. The wolves looked up and I let the spears fall down on them. They all died instantly.

 It was getting late; the sun was already setting. I started walking around the forest and I found a big tree, then I heard someone calling me.
 
[Unknown] "Hey dragon, what are you doing all the way out here."
 
[A/N: Stranger danger, Stranger danger]
 
I see a woman with green hair waving at me.
 
[Me] "What do you want?" I asked.
 
[Unknown] "You don't see dragons walking around here normally, they are usually somewhere in the mountains, especially not infants," she pointed North.
 
[Me] "You know where the other dragons are! Please, could you bring me there?"
 
[Unknown] "Sorry little dragon, I'm stuck to this tree. But that is not what I wanted to say. I wanted to ask why you are here, as normally mother dragons don't even allow their babies out of their nest or homes nowadays"
 
[Me] "I walked out of the nest and fell, then I got lost," I said with a sad face.

 [Me] "Nice, now I don't have to try my best on lying," I thought to myself.
[Unknown] "Ok, I'll try my best to help you, but the forest is dangerous and watch out for the humans. They will try to capture dragons and sell you." she said with a serious face.
 [Me] "I'll be wary of them."
 
[Unknown] "It's getting late so you can sleep here. Tomorrow we will figure out how we're going to get you home."
 
 [Me] "Sleep well."

In a dark forest, is a child running through the brush of leaves and low hanging branches. As they run through puddles of water and mud, they keep looking back. They're being chased by something big and fast.
The child stumbles onto a old wooden cabin in the middle of the forest. The abandoned cabin seems like a perfect hiding spot from whatever is chasing after them. 
Quickly the child heads into the cabin after giving the door a good push to open. Afterwards the child closes the door and looks around the room for something to place against the door as a barrier. They notice an old dinning room table by the corner of the room, and decide to use that.
With a couple drags and afterwards two good pushes, the child places the table right against the door.  They soon run off into the kitchen and grab an old rusty knife hanging above the counter.
With the blade in their hands, they guard their eyes at the barricaded door, armed and ready to face the monster lurking outside. 

"What the hell did you do to Frank", an officer screams at the stranger.  The stranger remains silent while his hands are raised in the air. "Can someone please check on Frank for Christ's sake", the officer announces in a panicked voice.
"Check for what! He's clearly not breathing. He's just a corpse or whatever you want to call that thing laying on the ground", another officer yells out as a response.
You can feel the uneasiness in the room as everyone around keeps looking at each other for some sort of answer. Nobody seems to have the nerve or better yet courage to at least deal with the corpse on the floor, because of the fear stirring in their hearts.
Then again, it was really the fear of catching whatever Frank had and meeting their maker too.
Mike soon takes charge of the situation and tells everyone, "lower your guns". 
"What! Are you insane", Tim exclaims to Mike as he tightens his grip on his gun. "Clearly this situation isn't one any person here has ever dealt with, so maybe this whole Mexican standoff isn't making the whole thing any better. Plus do you really want to risk being the next victim of a man with a literal death touch on him", Mike says to Tim. 
Afterwards Mike places his hand on Tim's gun pointed at the stranger.  He lowers the weapon down, looking at Mike and telling him, "easy now". Everyone one else starts to put their guns down and backs off real slow.
"Okay now, let's all take a deep breath and figure this whole mess out one step at a time", Mike tells everyone. 
The stranger clears his throat, and announces to everyone, "yes let's figure this shit out".
He starts to tidy himself up by pulling his shirt from it's bottom so that it sits well on his body.
"I'm not going to waste anyone's time, so let me cut straight to the chase.
You may call me by whatever title you'd feel fits me. Death, Stranger, Devil, Black Abyss, Collector or Harvester.  But really all you should know is, I'm here to search through all the apples in this town's basket and pick out the bad ones from the bunch", the stranger says to crowd of officers.
"Wait. Bad apples, what do you mean", one the officers asks the stranger. The stranger sighs heavily and exclaims, "in your little town here lives the bad hiding amongst the good. The bad hasn't really brought up any good for your little town obviously. So it's my job to take care of the bad".
The stranger looks at the corpse lying on the ground. "Your friend here had a little more to his character, and a very disturbing past.
Your boy here had a record of sexual cannibalism in the previous town he previously lived in
Soon after Frank here slept with a girl he just met, he'd soon after indulge on her very flesh as an after snack. And of course to keep a record of all his meals, he'd get a tattoo referring to his latest meal or victim", the stranger says all of this.
Everyone in the room stands there shocked and completely disgusted. 
"Of course none of you knew about your locals little eating habits, hence your faces", the stranger says. 
"And how do you happen to know such information. How do we know you're not making this shit up, or better yet were likely involved in this sickening act", Tim asks the stranger.
"Let's just say I have a wide knowledge for these sort of things.  Now for the meat of the matter, no pun intended. 
My arrival here has clearly upset the natural order of things around here.  But it's only going to get a whole lot worse, because I'm yet to deal with the other eleven of the twelve bad apples in this town.
They will soon meet judgment for their hidden original sins", the stranger exclaims.
"Sins", Mike exclaims as a question. "Yes Officer James. Your sins have led you to your demise", the stranger replies. "So who are these people", Mike asks the stranger.
The stranger laughs and says to him, "now where's the fun in that. You'll know soon enough after they meet their fates".
"It could be anyone in this room. Possibly everyone in this entire town. But I'm only here for the twelve",  the stranger announces to the room.
"This is bullshit", Tim yells as he pulls out his gun and points it back to the stranger. Before Mike can do anything about it, Tim pulls the trigger.
The sound of the gun echoes in the room, and everyone ducks down.  When the smoke clears, the stranger is still standing without any evidence of a gun shot wound.
He looks Tim straight in the eye and exclaims, "that's definitely going to cost you later on".
In a blink of an eye, the stranger disappears with the wind, leaving everyone there lost and completely perplexed.
Later that night the entire town holds a meeting in the Town hall.
"He was as white as a canvas!? I find that hard to believe"; one of the locals exclaims. "I seen it with my own two eyes. We all seen it", Tim responds.
Another local gets up and says, "you know what this means. We have a devil in our town and we need to cast him out". 
"We don't even know where he is, so how can we cast him out"; Tim exclaims.  Mike rubs his head and breathes out heavily.
His daughter walks up to him, and tugs his hand. "Is the bad guy coming to punish us for our sins. Is he here to take you away from us",  she asks Mike. 
"No my sweetie. Daddy is here to stay", he tells her.  Mike looks at the Pastor and asks him, "you wouldn't happen to have any clue about what exactly this is all about".
"Uhm. This is really beyond my knowledge", the Pastor exclaims. "Well then we're screwed", another local exclaims. "But how can one person know our hidden sins. And do we really have such things in this quiet town", a lady asks the room.
"Frank apparently had a hidden sin. A really disgusting one I might add.  Point being, people are beyond what meets the eye in this town.  We all knew Frank was one for starting up fights but not for cannibalism"; Tim exclaims.
The room falls to whispers, as everyone starts to question the whole situation.
"We could run away for safety. I mean he can't pick us out if we're not here", the town butcher suggests. "But wouldn't that just mean we have something to hide if we're running away", Tim exclaims.
"Tim is right. Running away won't solve anything. This stranger definitely isn't human, so who's to say he wouldn't find us wherever we run off to. 
The best play is to stick together, and protect each other. And the only way that's going to happen is by us being honest with each other and telling everyone of any hidden sins we might have lurking in the dark", Mike tells the entire room.
The room falls silent.
One of the old locals says, "why must we risk our own lives for the guilty. If death is to follow for their sins, let it follow".
Everyone in the room seems to agree with the lady by their loud chattering.
"Everyone is guilty of something. If this man is out here picking out people by their sins, we're all guilty of something. But we should always remember that there's no rating or scale of what makes a sin bigger or worse than another", Mike says to everyone.
"A sin is a sin right Pastor", Mike says while looking at the Pastor.  The Pastor nods yes in response.
"And how exactly are you going to protect us from this stranger. It seems damn well impossible", the butcher exclaims.  You leave that to me and the Sherrif's department to handle that okay",  Mike tells the man.
"You seem to be the most worried one here Ernest. You got something to hide, like charging extra on people's beef", Tim asks the butcher. "You're just speculating things that aren't there. I'm just looking out for my family as a father should"; Ernest says.
"Is that so", a voice from the back exclaims. 
Everyone's attention turns to the voice, and the stranger walks out of the shadows to greet them all.
"And who are you", Ernest asks the stranger in an annoyed voice.  The policemen in the room soon recognise the man, and quickly go to grab their guns.
The stranger chuckles and looks at the butcher saying, "I'm just the young girl whose heart you took a long time ago. Time to return the favour old man".
As soon as he says that, the stranger pulls a heart from behind him. The heart beats in his hand with fresh blood still dripping from it.  Everyone in the room falls silent in shock, but Ernest's eyes grow wide as he grabs his chest where his heart is supposed to be.
That's his heart in the stranger's hand.
Ernest falls to ground, failing to breathe.  His wife quickly rushes over to his side, while Ernest fights for his life.  His two sons stand back, watching their father die in front of their eyes. Everyone else in the room just stands and watches this whole thing happen.
After a few huffs and puffs,  Ernest gives his last breath and slowly rests his head on the ground, and shuts his eyes.
The stranger with the heart still is his hand, drops it to the ground and smiles afterwards.

A quiet peaceful town is soon thrown into disarray at the arrival of a mysterious figure, bringing a promise of 12 people dying at the cost of their sins.
