"Oh good gracious Gaia!!! What is that stench!?"

"Oh, it is my very own intricate system of spells that I meticulously devised just last night, the magic of the Onions!!!"

"Life is a journey. Not a destination." The saying appears true for Adam Crownswell as he laid dead in the cold caress of his own blood.

He had been chasing immortality since he picked up his first wooden staff.

He had went through countless, incomprehensible trials and succeeded them all.

He had even bested the mightiest champions and earned himself the title of World Champion.

Yet,

Even he could not stand against the mighty forces of the Gods and their pantheons of ruthless warriors. Driven by fury and regret, he used his own body as sacrifice to made his last spell.

                                                                  ~ A spell to redo everything.~

Zuhn saw countless foxes roaming around below him. Zuhn was sitting in a tree watching below, tracking the movements of the animals below. The foxes had dark gray eyes with bright red bodies. 

Besides foxes, there were several others animals that were hunting for food and looking for Zuhn. Zuhn was getting chased by a hybrid animal as he was running down to the valley.

Zuhn decided not to deal with the bird and just hide. The bird was at least Martial Sky Ranked, Zuhn couldn't quite see what stage it was. Above Zuhn there was a loud noise of the bird flying over. 

The bird flew straight over Zuhn, once it passed Zuhn let out a small sign. Suddenly, the bird turned around and came rushing back Zuhn. Zuhn's heart jumped when he saw the bird flying towards him.

Zuhn jumped off the tree, avoiding all of the other animals while running as fast as he could. Maximus was making jokes while he was running, saying that it was pointless to run. 

Knowing that it was pointless to run, Zuhn ran until he found a cave. Ahead of Zuhn around 50 meters away was a dark hole in the side of the mountain. Zuhn's target was this hole in the mountain. Running at full speed he jumped into the hole, landing in a pile of mud.

Zuhn couldn't see if he put his hand in front of his face. Maximus spoke to Zuhn, telling him to turn to page 75 of the Ancient Magic Book. 

In Zuhn's mind, he thought of a simple spell that created light. With Ancient Magic, Zuhn was able to create simple spells with a bit for thinking.

Zuhn thought back to his time on earth, 'maybe this will work.'

'Let There Be Light!'

Zuhn shouted that phrase in his mind and looked around waiting to see if something would show up. He waited and waited, but nothing happened. Maximus was having a laugh listening to Zuhn try to make spells.

'Zuhn, try to think of the spell. Think about how the spell would work, how much power it would take. The time length of the spell, all of these factors need to be accounted for.'

Nodding his head, Zuhn went again to try and create a light spell. Zuhn closed his eyes and started to imagine what the light would look like. He thought of a bright yellow dot.

Zuhn wanted to start simple, and not make things too complicated. He now thought how bright the dot should be. He thought of a star in the sky, then made the length of time for the spell. Zuhn didn't want to keep recasting the spell, so he made the spell special.

The spell that Zuhn was about to make, let the spell stay cast forever as long as there was enough magical power to support it. Zuhn was getting excited with the new spell that he was about to create. 

'Zuhn, there is one last thing you need to do, you need to name it.'

A bright grin appeared on Zuhn's face when he heard Maximus's words. Zuhn closed his eyes and thought deep to try and figure out a good name for the spell.

After thinking for a couple of minutes, Zuhn decided to make a name that was stupid simple. 

'Light'

Zuhn thought of the spell and said the word light in his head.

Seconds later, a bright light appeared in front of Zuhn. Once the bright light appeared, Zuhn still couldn't see in front of him. The light was too bright, Zuhn canceled the spell.

Zuhn went through the process of creating the spell, then put a way to control the light. Zuhn tried the light spell again, this time there was a different reaction. 

Zuhn cast the spell, and he was able to control the light of the spell. When he used the spell it was bright at first, though he used the functions of the spell to make it dimmer.

Once it was dim enough for Zuhn to see, he was able to see what was around him. In front of Zuhn laid a tunnel that was a plain sight of void darkness.

Above Zuhn was the whole that he jumped in from. The hole was directly above him, but he could see a little bit of light coming in from the hole. Zuhn moved the light above himself, shining on the walls of the tunnel.

The walls looked fairly slippery from the mud on the walls of the tunnel. Zuhn still tried to climb out of the tunnel. He moved the spell farther up the tunnel so he could see ahead. 

Zuhn put his foot on the wall and tried to put the other one on the wall. He instantly fell down to the floor. Zuhn tried a couple more times than gave up. 

After giving up, Zuhn decided to go into the void of darkness. Zuhn put the light through first before he crawled through the tunnel. While crawling through the tunnel, the mud started to get thicker and thicker the father he went.

Suddenly, the mud became thinner. The space of the tunnel started became wider, revealing a cave like an area. Zuhn got himself out of the mud and made the spell shine brighter. 

When Zuhn made the spell as bright as he could, it still didn't reach the ends of the cave. Zuhn let out a long sigh and turned down the brightness of the light. 

Maximus was in awe when he was looking through Zuhn's eyes. Just like Zuhn, Maximus couldn't see to the walls of the cave. From as far as the light could go, was just barren land.

There wasn't any rocks, or hills in the area. Most if not all of the land was filled with wet and dried mud. Zuhn started to walk forward through the mud. By now all of his lower body was covered in a thick layer of mud.

Zuhn walked for a couple of minutes before reaching a clearing. There was a small number of lights coming from a small hole in the ground. When Zuhn tried to look down the whole, all he could see was blue light below. 

He looked around one more time, making sure he didn't miss anything. Once he was sure that he searched through the top of the cave, he jumped down the blue tunnel. 

Landing at the bottom, Zuhn found out that the ground solid. It was not muddy at all. It felt like a regular grass covered ground when he looked down it was true. 

Zuhn landed in grass and dirt. The dirt wasn't wet, it was dry and there were blue lights on random trees. The trees were quite strange, they had small blue orbs on the sides of the tree.

The trees gave off a little bit of light, inside the orbs was a blue liquid that was moving around. Maximus was getting excited inside of Zuhn's head. Rambling on about how great an Ancient Trial was. 

Maximus explained that the orbs on the trees were Ancient Blue Flare trees. Blue Flare trees were extinct on the outside world. Though, they were at an abundance in this trial. 

Maximus explained that there were several uses for Blue Flare tree. For one the orbs on the trees were good for healing. They were one of the best ways to heal the human body.

One drop of the liquid could heal someone that was on the brink of death. The liquid also adds 100 years onto human life. This can be stacked, though all the liquid did was add years to your natural death. 

After hearing Maximus's explanation of the liquid, Zuhn filled with greed and was about to approach the tree. Maximus forcibly took over Zuhn's body and made him back up away from the tree.

'No… Don't go near the tree. Each of the trees is Spiritual Sky Lord ranked. Spiritual Sky Lord is a very high ranked in cultivation, close to my rank. You wouldn't be enough to even get close to the tree. Once the tree detects a life form, it sends out spikes and slashes towards the target. Once the target is dead, it gets sucked into the ground, food for the tree.'

Zuhn gulped when he heard what the tree was able to do. Zuhn slowly backed away from the tree, trying to figure out how to pass the trees without dying. 

Maximus guided him through the grove of trees, leaving behind the amazing liquid left a tear in Zuhn's eyes. Walking farther into the cave, they found a couple of trees. In the trees were regular Ancient Fruits, these fruits were guarded and could be taken. 

From all of the chaos of the 'Light Spell' Zuhn totally forgot about going to page 75 of Ancient Magic Book. Zuhn took out the book and flipped to the page that Maximus told him to go to.

The page read '10xSpaceRing' The Space Ring was a special ring. This ring gains the user access to put items into a stalled time of space. For example, if you put food inside of the ring, it would not go rotten. Time in the ring was stopped.

The 10x part of the name meant that it was 10 meters by 10 meters. On the page besides the 10x10 SpaceRing, there were other rings with different names.

The ring that caught the most attention to Zuhn was Lightning Attribute Ring. The description read, 'Ring that gave the ability of Lightning Attribute to anyone using the ring.'

Zuhn was shocked by how powerful the ring was. He really wanted to use one of them. Zuhn's happiness was short-lived when he looked at the materials he died.

Maximus let out a sigh after seeing the ingredients needed to make the ring. 

'Zuhn, My cultivation just recently reached Mystic Ranked. Which means you have one out of the six.'

Zuhn could hear the weak smile on Maximus's face through his tone of voice. 

'Okay, Let's see about the SpaceRing'

Zuhn wasn't hoping for much after seeing how hard it was to get the other ring. Zuhn looked at the description and began to read. 

'Any user of Ancient Magic Book can have a free 10xSpaceRing'

After reading the sentence, Zuhn couldn't help but let out a cry of joy. Maximus was also shocked when he had the book he wasn't given a free ring. 

The Ancient Magic Book wasn't just a book. The book was alive and could interact with its users. Meaning, it could change the book according to the user's skills. Inside the book was ways to create certain items, as long as you gave the book the required materials. The book could create any item that it had a recipe for. 

'Maximus, how does one get the free ring?'

Maximus was silent for a couple of moments.

'Uh… I truly don't know. For me, when I had the book, I just thought about the item and it gave it to me...'

'Okay, I'll try that.'

Zuhn looked down at the ring and started to think about the item. The book didn't move, just sat still. Zuhn tried again looking at the item, making his face turn red.

Once again, the book didn't move. Zuhn put his hand on the book and felt a small pinch on his finger. Zuhn lifted his hand off the book and looked at his finger. There was a drop of blood that was dripping from his finger.

The book had turned bright red and was glowing. Zuhn looked down at the book, the book started to move. The words on the book changed, a small purple gem was coming out of the book. 

Slowly the gem moved up and up until a full ring came out of the book. Zuhn reached out and grabbed the ring from the book. When he picked up the ring, all he could feel was the power of the ring.

A ring had such power, Zuhn himself was quite shocked at the aura around the ring. Zuhn put the ring on and looked down at his finger. Maximus mocked him at the site.

The book below Zuhn turned pages on its own and moved to a blank page. On the page, words started to be created. The book was talking to Zuhn, and it was telling him to move forward.

Zuhn already used the book a lot during the time he was in this world. So he listened to the book and walked forward. In front of everyone was darkness, but far into the darkness, there was a strange white light.

Zuhn moved forward edging his way to the white light, the closer he got the brighter the light. Once he was close enough to make out a silhouette, Zuhn was shocked at the site.

What Zuhn was looking at was a city. The city was huge, it had a small thin bubble around the whole city. If someone didn't have good eyesight, then they wouldn't have noticed the bubble. 

Zuhn moved closer to the city, looking at the ground and around to make sure he doesn't run into a trap. When Zuhn got outside of the city, he tried to look inside. 

While Zuhn was looking, the book became slightly warm. Zuhn took it out, the book turned the pages again and wrote something on the blank page.

'Put this book on the forcefield.'

Zuhn took the book and moved up to the bubble, he brought out the book. Zuhn took one deep breath before he put the book on the bubble.

A youth around the age of 16 is a normal teenager with hobbies like anyone else. Though, his hobby includes killing people and leaving White Roses on their bodies. After multiple killings, the news and the media decided to label him ‘White Rose’. 

Later, the police along with the government set out to capture White Rose. The police attempt to capture him multiple times but end up failing.

Finally, White Rose turns himself in but is later shot on the way to jail by a victim's father. White Rose wakes up in a new world in someone else’s body. His new body is named Zuhn Sheng and he is being hunted by every large Mortal Sect in the region because of his powers.

Follow Zuhn Sheng as he sets off on his journey to become stronger and explore his new profound powers, While sticking to his roots of being a skilled killer.

AN : This applies to the rewritten version of ROSK. The old chapters will be deleted once I have a good release rate along with a decent amount of chapters stocked up.

'I can make the "Dark Rope" work. It is a variable and flexible spell which should synergize well with other tools. It may be a weak spell model standing alone, but it will give me the flexibility I need.' 

Still on the book page of "Dark Rope" Fraser continued to ponder. Choose "Dark Rope" as his first spell model or not? 

'I should continue to look for other spell models of the element darkness, maybe I will find another spell model which sounds interesting.' 

Fraser continued to look for his first spell model and got surprised by the variety of the element "Darkness". Apparently each element had different sub-categories which even though synergized with the element had different attributes. 

For example there was the spell model "Poison Fog", even though Fraser saw it in the plant element section as well, in the darkness section of the book there was a spell model with the same name. But the poisons were different. As the "Poison Fog" of the darkness attribute described a corroding poison, almost an acid like substance, the plant "Poison Fog" on the other hand described a green fog which had poisonous results like paralyzes or illnesses. 

To say that these sub-categories spell models were a little bit more powerful were an underestimation. Even the academy book filled with the information said that these sub-categories spell models were more powerful than the more common ones like the "Dark Spear", "Dark Net" or just "Dark" in front of them. 

Yet the reason why Fraser saw the fellow students who protected him on the way casting mostly those "common" spells was the sheer amount of knowledge needed in order to control them properly. 

The academy book even put on warn signs on all those element sub-categories, warning all fellow students that the students who tried to use those spell models without the proper know-how got killed by their own spell. As it backfired and killed them. 

'To be really special I should need to learn one of those spell models. Yet it is better to choose a common spell and then improve on it. I heard from Elise that the really powerful spell models are those that are modified.' 

Fraser evaluated the options before deciding on buying a common spell model with the "Dark". 

As sub-categories tended to be dangerous without the necessary knowledge Fraser decided to learn a normal dark element spell before acquiring the necessary information. After all Fraser had no information how many magic crystals he needed to spend for the lessons. 

Besides even the amount of knowledge variated. There was a dark element sub-category spell model which only required advanced knowledge in anatomy. 

Here is the problem: Advanced knowledge in anatomy was extremely hard to get. One of the daily free lessons which Fraser attended had the title of anatomy of a normal fish. Even that turned out to be an endless flow of information during the time of the lesson. 

Fraser had an AI in his mind so saving the information was easily done, yet Fraser couldn't imagine a normal student memorizing the amount of information. 

Though it was hard to have the qualification for a sub-category spell model Fraser still wanted to learn one in the future. 

As almost each sub-category spell had a wide use, multiple fields of usability and were weird and bizarre. 

Fraser only looked into the darkness element sub-categories spell model yet each fascinated him. A banshee summoning spell model, a spell model which turned your shadow into the most loyal and really helpful companion, a spell model which invoked a curse and weakened the receiver allowing an easy upfront confrontation, were only a few examples of the dark element sub-categories spell models. 

Making his decision Fraser walked towards the receptionist who had taken a small nap but quickly opened her eyes as soon as Fraser stepped in front of her counter. 

"What do you want." said the receptionist with a monotone voice. 

"I would like the spell model for "Dark Rope"." replied Fraser while putting ten magic crystals on top of the counter. 

The old women counted the magic crystals one by one before taking a thick book out and placing it on the counter. 

On the book cover it read: "Spell model of Dark Rope". 

Taking the thick book Fraser quickly walked out of the Academy market and stowed the spell model of dark rope in his chamber. 

However Fraser didn't immediately opened the spell model of dark rope. Instead he grabbed a parchment and a feather and hurried back to the Academy market. 

Back at the Academy market Fraser opened the book again and searched for sub-category spell models which he may want to learn in the future and copied down their knowledge requirement. 

The sub-category spell model which interested him the most was the spell model which summoned a banshee. After all the banshee sounded really powerful and would allow Fraser to control the battle. 

He still didn't knew whether he needed to battle other Apprentices, but he remembered one of his instructors saying that competition between fellow members of the same organization may lead to death. He even told a few real life experiences where he mentioned that he was from a Knight Academy of a bigger empire and got injured by a fellow student. 

As he got injured and couldn't show the potential he once had, he got kicked out from the Knight Academy. Thus he, the instructor, said that he is pretty happy that the Duke of Rosethorn hired him as an Instructor. 

The essence which Fraser took from the story was that in order to stay at the same position, one needed to have somebody soak up the major damage. After all the Instructor wasn't the one who caused a fight or provoked anyone, instead he got hired to fight for another fellow student who had a lot of money. 

This resulted in him getting beaten and injured. 

After copying down the requirement for the sub-category spell model "Banshee Summoning" Fraser quickly walked back to his chamber. After all the spell model dark rope waited in his chamber and Fraser really wanted to learn a spell in order to become a real Magus. 

Well not a real Magus like Magus Sept, as Fraser also realized that someone like Magus Sept was way higher on the power scale than Apprentices, but someone who could use magic or a cast a spell. 

As soon as Fraser opened the thick book which contained the Spell model for dark rope, he could see pages full of runes. 

There was only one book page which didn't contained a single rune, the first page which had a short description on what Fraser had to do. 

'So I need to create the runes one by one and then link them with the other runes in order to create a 3d spell model which will allow me to cast the spell dark rope? It sounds rather easy but creating these runes in my mind will take a long time.' 

When Fraser advanced to Apprentice Level one he could access a mind room which allowed him to create things out of his spirit. He played a little bit with the room but never explored it completely. Now he knew what the mind room was for, for the 3d spell models in his mind.

Someone transmigrated into the body of a noble that was on his way to become a Magi. His only keepsake, an AI-Chip that had the ability to calculate and store information. Thus, follow the journey of Fraser Rosethorn.

"Fire?"
Wizard Bass was momentarily stunned. He was extremely proficient in Fire-type spells and had constructed his own spells until he became a Seventh-level Spell Casters. Fire-type spells, in particular, was one of his strongest element.
Yet, looking at the pale white flames released by the black-robed Wizard, he felt a sense of acute danger. It felt as if once he came into contact with the flames, there would be catastrophic damage.
It was a feeling which Wizard Bass had not felt in a very long time.
"Retreat!"
Wizard Bass did not hesitate and retreated backward. After all, he was a Seventh-level Spell Caster with lightning fast reflexes. The moment the thought formed in his mind, a spell had been released. His figure retreated backward in a flash and away from the burning flames.
Seventh-level Spell Casters derived spells that were best suited for them, so the level of compatibility was very high with some even achieving a hundred percent compatibility. Merlin, too, had been constructing Fourth-level spells with one hundred percent compatibility.
There were no essential differences between self-derived Fourth- and Seventh-level spells, but very few Spell Casters could derive new spells at the Fourth-level.
No matter how talented an elementary school student could be, it was impossible to understand calculus without slowly accumulating the knowledge that it comprised. Similarly, with the accumulation of profound knowledge and experience in constructing spells, it was much easier to derive a spell upon reaching the Seventh-level.
In terms of quality, however, as long as the spells were self-derived, there were no fundamental differences between them. The only difference would be their power levels.
Another benefit of self-derived spells was that the reaction time to cast a spell was nearly zero. On the other hand, previous spells, due to lack of perfect compatibility, would have a slight time lag. The time lag was usually very short that it was almost indiscernible.
Nevertheless, in a life-or-death moment, that tiny time lag was enough to determine the outcome of a battle. If Wizard Bass had not been a Seventh-level Spell Caster, there was no way he could have escaped the attack of Fiery Collapse earlier.
"Who the heck…?"
Wizard Bass was still a little nervous as he watched the black-robed figure gradually emerge from behind the pillar of flames.
"Hand over the Neverending Book!"
The mysterious black-robed Wizard was still covered in a layer of menacing flames, almost like an embodiment of fire. Of course, it was Merlin, who had entered the Thousand Miles Snow Cave earlier.
Merlin had followed the strong Fire Elements fluctuations and rushed here. Unexpectedly, he was the first to arrive and witnessed the exchange between Wizard Bass and the two other Seventh-level Spell Casters.
However, Merlin kept himself hidden in the dark. Since Wizard Bass and the others were fully focused on guarding against one another, they did not notice that there was someone else lurking in the dark. It was up till the point that Wizard Bass tried to leave that Merlin showed himself.
Since the Neverending Book was in Wizard Bass' hands, Merlin decided to act immediately. However, he did not expect that his sudden attack would be dodged by Wizard Bass.
On the other hand, Wizard Bass just had a close brush with death and was extremely wary of the mysterious black-robed Wizard. The flames earlier made him shudder in fear. It was definitely not the kind of force that he could handle by himself.
Nevertheless, obtaining the Neverending Book had not been easy for Wizard Bass either. He had to track down Nelson for many days and nights to obtain the Neverending Book, and even devised a plan to stop two Seventh-level Spell Casters from attacking.
Unpredictably, in the end, he was just one stroke short of success!
"Heh heh, you're not the only one who wants the Neverending Book!"
Wizard Bass was trying his best to delay time because the black-robed Wizard was far too intimidating. He did not have the confidence to challenge the black-robed Wizard alone, so the best he could do was to delay time and wait for the other Spell Casters to arrive.
He believed that the fluctuation earlier would have attracted a lot of attention from the Spell Casters inside Thousand Miles Snow Cave. At this point, Wizard Bass could only hope that he would benefit from the imminent chaos.
The catch, however, was that even he himself was not confident that he would be able to hold onto the Neverending Book amidst the chaos. Nevertheless, it was his only hope!
"Unwilling, I see?"
A cold look flashed across Merlin's eyes. He must get the Neverending Book, no matter what!
"Boom!"
It was only a single step from Merlin yet it felt like a huge stomp directly on Wizard Bass' heart. With a light flick of Merlin's finger, infinite darkness enveloped Wizard Bass, trapping him in complete darkness.
"Illusion?"
Wizard Bass was shocked as he recognized the illusion at once. The revelation made him even more shaken because he was a Seventh-level Spell Caster who had achieved the Mind Power of the peak of the Seventh-level. Most illusions were unable to affect him.
Yet with just a gentle flick of his finger, Merlin had cast an unknown Darkness Spell which managed to trap a Seventh-level Spell Caster like him in an illusion although the entrapment only lasted for a second before Wizard Bass managed to regain his consciousness.
Nevertheless, in a battle involving Seventh-level Spell Casters, one moment was all it took to determine the outcome!
"Incinerating Fire!"
The icy voice rang out again, and a faint gulp appeared on Wizard Bass' face. He had been entrapped by the illusion for just a second but when he regained consciousness, the opponent's Fire-type Spell had been activated.
This time, Wizard Bass was no longer able to escape. Pillars of fire had formed a circle around him and trapped him within. The scorching temperatures climbed, slowly draining his Defensive-type spell.
"Darkness Eye, disintegrate!"
Merlin extended his palm again and pressed downward. A crimson ray shot out and surrounded Wizard Bass. The Defensive-type spell on his body shattered immediately, allowing the white flames to engulf him and turned him into ashes within seconds.
Within a short time, Merlin had managed to kill a Seventh-level Spell Caster. It shook the other two Seventh-level Wizards to the core. Even if they joined forces, the most they had hoped to achieve was overpower Wizard Bass. It was downright impossible for them to kill him.
Contending and killing were two completely different concepts. Usually, the intention to kill required a person to be much more powerful than his opponent and had an absolute advantage over him in order to succeed.
Despite Merlin using only a short period of time to kill Wizard Bass, he had already used Fiery Collapse, Darkness Illusory Death, and Darkness Eye, all three of which were his strongest abilities.
It was with these three strongest abilities that he was able to kill Wizard Bass in such a short time as it was not easy to vanquish a Seventh-level Spell Caster.
Once he killed Wizard Bass, Merlin caught his opponent's ring in his hand and examined it with his Mind Power. Very quickly, he found a quaint book shrouded in a sacred aura. Lo and behold, it was the second volume of the Neverending Book. It was exactly the same aura that he sensed previously while obtaining the first volume, which proved that it was indeed the Neverending Book.
Merlin kept the ring securely, and turned around but narrowed his eyes again the next moment. Apparently, while he was examining the ring, the two remaining Seventh-level Spell Casters had blocked his way out.
"What? You want the Neverending Book in my hands as well?"
A chilling look flashed across Merlin's face. Two Seventh-level Spell Casters were indeed more troublesome to handle. Even so, it was just a minor inconvenience as he was confident that he would be able to eliminate these two Seventh-level Spell Casters within a short period of time. 
It was for the sake of the Neverending Book, especially combined with the second and third volumes, to get the maxim left behind by the mysterious Wizard. That was Merlin's true purpose.
Therefore, Merlin would not easily give up on the Neverending Book, regardless of the obstacles.
Just as Merlin's murderous intent began to build up and was about to act, jovial laughter reverberated from inside the cave. "Haha, I'm not too late!"
"Swish."
When the sound faded, a burly middle-aged Wizard slowly emerged from the passage and gazed at Merlin and the other two Seventh-level Spell Casters.
Seeing the weakened Wizard leaning on the cave wall behind Merlin, a joyful look appeared on his face. "Nelson? I see, that means one of you have gotten the Neverending Book?"
The middle-aged Wizard did not emit a particularly dangerous vibe but the two Spell Casters' expression changed rapidly upon seeing him. In a low voice, they said, "Mad Wizard Mobundo!"
"Oh? There are people who still remember me? Not bad, not bad, it must be rare to find a such a loyal and kind Wizard who is willing to do good deeds like myself…"
The Spell Caster known as Mad Wizard said with a twinkling smile yet it sounded extremely sarcastic in the ears of those two Spell Casters. Both their faces showed a weird expression.
Mad Wizard Mobundo was a shameless, unscrupulous Wizard whom many Spell Casters were unwilling to go against. This was because Mobundo would do whatever it took in order to win. Normally, this was not frowned upon but Mobundo disregarded even the basic dignity of Wizards. He even used various despicable tactics such as poisoning and sneak attacks. In other words, there was nothing he would not do.
Once, he even dressed up as a woman… The fact that a Wizard like him dared to claim to be loyal and kind, literally made the two Spell Casters who knew him to feel ashamed to be called Spell Casters.
"Three!"
Merlin looked at Mad Wizard Mobundo calmly. He did not sense a particularly strong threat coming from him.
However, with the appearance of Mobundo, more Spell Casters began to appear. All of them were Seventh-level Spell Casters, and one after another, it came up to eight Seventh-level Spell Casters!
These eight Spell Casters all knew that the Neverending Book was in Merlin's hands, so their gazes were locked on Merlin. Nevertheless, no one dared to act because they could feel the extreme danger emanating from Merlin. No one wanted to be the first to strike.
"Eight?"
Merlin took a deep breath. At this moment, his heart was filled with adrenaline. So, what if there were eight Seventh-level Spell Casters? He would triumph over all of them!

Lilya: thanks for comforting and telling  me that... Well because im not strong enough we failed on our ....we didnt save Kyle... If only i was a little stronger...
Aisha: so you want to get stronger... 
Lilya: yah... i really do and with that power im going to save kyle for Maple...
Aisha: i can help you with that... i think i have a book that will help you get strong and master spells...

" Aisha started to find the book... its the book of the forbidden and sacred spells of spirits...
" She went into the lower part of the library.. and they found the book they were looking for....
" Aisha handed the book to Lilya .... 
She tried casting a medium spell she failed Lilya still need more training before she can cast forbidden and highleveled attack spells.

" Lilya trained really hard... She mastered it within 2 days... but her wand was weak to cast a highlevel magic ... and so Aisha given her a new wand... 
" This wand wasnt ordinary it was made by Aisha ... she used a high leveled creation magic to make this wand...

" With her new wand she was able to cast any spell from the book...

" It was called the Deox Life necklace because it was owned by the powerful and magical healer in all the realms..... but before it was just an ordinary necklace... 
" Deox died in an accident... he wasnt aware of that time and got killed.. cause of the strong desire of healing people and other creatures... he posessed the necklace to serve as a powerful healer....

" While Lilya was reading Aisha entered the room... Lilya got shocked thought that Aisha would be mad but she didnt... instead she told her more information about it...
" Lilya got even more shocked aftet hearing that the necklace was missing... and no where to be found... then Lilya remembered ... she saw Bella wearing it... 

" When Maple and Bella were fighting the necklace keeps glowing in every wound that bella would get... 

Aisha: So shes the one who took that necklace... 
Lilya: well that also explains why Bella didnt receive any damage...
Aisha: but were really in great danger... if they have that necklace in their possesion it would be hard for us to defeat them... 
Lilya: well Aisha is there anything we can do to stop or take that necklace...
Aisha: Well there is one way to stop the necklace... all we can do is destroy the necklace gem...
Lilya: then if it would be destroyed the necklace wont exist anymore... 
Aisha: no if it shattered all we need is collect the broken pieces...and i can fix it... the only problem is... the necklace isnt easy  to be destroy... it can only be destroyed by a very high and forbidden magic spell.. Look at your book... there should be total 1000 page but the last page was missing... 

Lilya: your right the last page was missing...
Aisha: the spell in the last page was a very very high leveled magic spell... its the only spell that can break the necklace... but none of the past spirit sorsoccer succeeded casting it.... they all died trying ...  Casting that spell cost up a lot of mana but if you havent enough mana... the spell will take your life as the replacement of the needed mana...
Lilya: wow  it was really a very high leveled magic... ( she looks at Aisha seriously )

Aisha: but its dangerous you might cast it and end up dead...and no one has ever succeeded casting it.

" He saw Maple was resting and still unconscious and so he went to Lilya.. and sent the message...

" Lilya prepared everything and about to leave after hearing the news from rain...She told aisha that she was going leave and  save Kyle .... 

Lilya; aisha im going to leave and save Kyle... i know where to find him...
Aisha; but it would be dangerous for you to travel on your own.. 
Lilya; dont worry aisha... i can do it and im not alone Rain is with me... and i already mastered the spells you taught me and the spells in the book....
Aisha: ohh okay..... becareful on your way... ill let Maple know about it if she woke up...
Lilya: okay thanks for everything Aisha...we'll be heading off now... kyle might cant hold on to long and give up...

" Aisha teleported them ouside the Bloody Dungeon Gate...They went inside silently... 
" It didnt take so long they found Kyle.... Lilya took off all the spell that was cast in the prison... it was just a piece of cake for her to take it off... but then Redvered showed up...

Redvered: Hah as expected there was a intruder... and as i can see you are a spirit... well  that boy looks so dear to you...is he your boyfriend...
Lilya: wha-- what no.. he isnt... 
Redvered: then why are you so shocked hahhaha
Lilya: its none of your business... 
Redvered: well i can sense a strong magical presence in you.... you must be strong.. this is gonna be a great fight..
Lilya: I dont have time to fight some old man...i need to take Kyle away from here...
Redvered: what you called me old man... ohh shame on you... how dare you say that... infront of this handsome face... you hurt my feelings ouch ....

"When this book has lost its value for you, please give it to someone in need of it. The truth must be preserved."

That was the first sentence Benjamin saw after he flipped open the cover page. As expected, the content after that was the mages’ version on how the magic and the divine arts originated. It was another version of Cain and Abel’s story.

In this story, there was no devil. There was only the God of Magic and the God of Light. They blessed two mortals each with the power of magic and divine arts. The antagonist in this story was the perilous environment and the mighty magical beasts. Cain and Abel cleared the wastelands and led the human race to build a place that they could call their home.

However, as stories go, good times will never be long. The brothers had a conflict over the sacrificial ceremony, where the God of Magic favored grains and vegetables, so Cain insisted that all sacrifices should be grains and vegetables. On the other hand, the God of Light preferred cows and lambs, so Abel wanted all sacrifices to be likewise. The followers of both parties had increasing clashes too. One day, the brothers finally broke apart, and they had a battle in a valley.

When the battle reached its climax, two beams of holy light descended from the sky. The God of Light and God of Magic made themselves known. They were saddened by the fratricidal behaviors of the humans, and thus killed Cain and Abel with the divine punishment. They declared that they would never step foot on this land ever again, which was why the land was called ‘the Abandoned Land of Gods’, the battlefield named ‘The Abandoned Valley of Gods’.

Lost without their leader, Cain and Abel’s followers fought with each other, fueled by their long-constrained resentment. Since then, the two factions went into a great war. Abel’s followers were more skilled in winning over the support of the people. They built the church and expanded on the land; Cain’s followers gradually became isolated, and was dismissive towards the practice of banding together. Hence, the church took the advantage and started a massacre of the mages. Finally, the land became what it is today.

After he finished the mages’ story, Benjamin felt that this version was more objective than the church’s version. It did not contain any discredits to the opposing faction too. However, the Rashomon effect dictated that as long as someone was involved in the story, his narrative will never be totally objective. Therefore, he finished the story with the spirit of investigation and query.

At this moment, his mind was no longer wandering in this mayhem of a legend.

This Bible was not thick, and it used up half of its pages to illustrate the story. Benjamin was slightly bothered by how little the sections on magic would be. Thankfully, Benjamin came across a multitude of spells as he read through the pages: Fireball Spell, the Water of Life, the Land Subsidence Spell…. Among them were the familiar Waterball Spell and the frustrating Binding Spell.   

These spells were written phonetically using similar sounding words, and it was as easy as translating "good morning" into mandarin literally according to the pronunciations. If it was not for the detailed analysis of the pronunciations of the spell under the transcriptions, Benjamin would be very suspicious of the accuracy of the spells. Additionally, as Benjamin knew the incantations of the Waterball Spell and the Binding Spell, he inferred that he would be able to grasp the pronunciations of the other spells without making any mistakes.

The rest of the book was all used to introduce these spells one by one. There were more than 50 spells introduced, and the mess was apparent. Besides, according to the explanation of magic given by the book, these were all Beginner Level magic, easy to master but has no actual threat. Some could even be symbolized with chicken ribs - tasteless but a waste to throw away. Facewashing Spell? Face Moisturizing Spell? Did the person who invented these spells work for Watsons in their past lives?

Benjamin was quite disappointed.

He had hoped that the book would explain some magic theories to him, or maybe tell him the purpose of the space of his consciousness, or detail the elements, energy and the others. The result? This book only knew how to stuff spells down his throat.

He did not mean to say that spells are bad, but he had higher expectations.

He was slightly worried too. What if under the long period of suppression by the church, the standard of magic on all lands was only empirical? What if the mages only knew how to memorize and regurgitate spells, but did not manage to innovate an advanced methodology? What can he do then?

If that was really the case, he would be the bellwether in the field of magical theory....
 
After a brief period of disappointment, Mr. Bellwether decided to retain his spirit of academic pursuit. He went into the space of his consciousness, and started experimenting the 50+ spells he just learnt.
 
He started with the spells that had no relations with ‘water’. One by one he chanted: Fireball Spell, Numbing Spell, Latent Image Spell…. The results were the same. A repelling force was felt from the space, and sometimes even the wandering particles started to protest, as if they were saying, "The one you’re chanting is my enemy! Shut up, or else I’ll choke you to death!"
 
He was left with no choice but to pick a Water Barrier Spell, and chanted after confirming the pronunciations and focused all of his attention. A wave propagated from his body.
 
The surrounding water particles stirred and slowly had a tendency to gather. However, when the particles were halfway through the gathering process, Benjamin suddenly felt an immense pain in his brain as the energy wave dissipated and the water particles stopped gathering.
 
The spell failed.
 
Benjamin did not give up. He had a hunch that there was something going on with this spell. Therefore, he repeatedly summoned the water barrier, and he finally succeeded after more than 10 failures.
 
It was a steaming thin membrane that enveloped him like a bubble. He felt a refreshing feeling as if his heart and mind connected. He gazed at this barrier that looked so fragile, and could not help but poke at it with his finger.
 
The bubble popped as it burst.
 
Damn, it was really fragile….

That could not be helped either. This was the first time he had casted the spell, and it was very tiring due to its unfamiliarity. Benjamin could only comfort himself using this line of reason. Then, with the determination he had when he looped the spells before, he started practicing this spell again and again.
 
It was very exhausting for him to repeat an unfamiliar spell, especially after numerous failures. After another round of failures, he was once again ejected from the space of his consciousness.
 
The success rate for this spell was 5 out of uncountable trials. It was obvious that it would be impossible for him to deploy this spell in actual combat when the success rate was so low.

At first, Benjamin was dismayed. Despite all that, he managed to calm himself down thanks to his thirst for knowledge, which was instilled in him by modern education. He thought about the cause for the failures. The Waterball Spell was deployed for an infinite amount of times in his space, and the success rate was 100% with minimal drainage of energy. Although the Water Barrier Spell was slightly complicated than the Waterball Spell, it was impossible for it to be so arduous!
 
What was the problem?
 
When he compared the incantations for the Waterball Spell and the Water Barrier Spell, Benjamin finally found his answer.
 
Everything was due to the glittering blue symbol in the space of his consciousness.
 
When he was chanting the Waterball Spell, the symbol would vibrate and emit waves to guide these water particles. And when he was casting the Water Barrier Spell, the symbol was not involved in the process, and he could only rely on himself to give out a wave. Thus, his control over the water particles dropped drastically too.
 
Once he understood this, another bigger problem surfaced. Why did the symbol not react when he chanted the symbol? In other words, what should he do to let the symbol help him in casting spells aside from the Waterball Spell?
 
As he returned to the space, he tried the other spells that were related to water: the Water of Life, the Freezing Spell, Ice-Breaking Spell, the Misting Spell …. All of them had similar results with the Water Barrier. The triangular symbol was just like the door in the story of Alibaba, the Waterball Spell its ‘Open Sesame’. Other than that, it would not bother reacting.
 
Now, he was at a loss on what he should do.
 
If he was honest, how could it be possible for him to understand the mechanisms of the symbol when he had no idea what the symbol even was? As the bellwether of the field in magical theory, his research was all on the process of magic. He still needed to investigate more in order to know how everything works.  
 
Basically, he was a mere common folk. He knew that the hands of the clock relied on electric power to move, and that if the clock ran out of electric power, he would know how to change the batteries. However, if a gear broke within the clock, only a clockmaker would know the more detailed parts of a clock and thus be able to fix it.
 
Where could he find the ‘clockmaker’ for magic?
 
Benjamin sighed, feeling slightly dejected. He switched back to reality and flipped the Holy Bible in his hand to the last page. Aside from the story and the 50+ spells, the last page on the book also had a sentence written on it.
 
‘’You are the 56th person to finish this book. Please pass this book to the next person who needs it, and pass the magic forwards.’
 
Not long after he flipped to this page, the numbers in the sentence shifted in a spooky way. It changed from ‘56’ to ‘57’.
 
Benjamin was amazed for a moment, but once he confirmed that that was just a tiny magic trick that would not even have a magic ripple, he was composed again.
 
This line, however, did touch him a little.
 
Under the draconian raid and arrests done by the church, these mages took shelter in the darkness and strove for survival. However, never did they forget to pass the magic on to the next generation of mages. Because of that, they wrote and edited this simplistic Holy Bible to pass the message on, one mage at a time.

It finally landed in his hands.
 
No wonder Michelle did not mention about this book when she spoke about equal exchange. This book was not a gift she gave to Benjamin. Michelle was only fulfilling a promise, a promise that all 56 people already fulfilled.
 
Woot! Benjamin shrugged helplessly. What was with all this sense of purpose for one book? Were they really planning for a revolution? He could not even fend for himself!
 
He set his emotions aside and returned his attention onto the triangular symbol again. Or else, despite learning all these spells, he could only hug the Waterball Spell and tremble in the corner when he was under attack.
 
How did Michelle and the others learn magic? Was it as strenuous as he experienced?
 
Could he only wait for Michelle to appear again and ask her about this? That was too passive for his taste. No matter if he asked or not, the power would still lie in Michelle’s hands, and he also had no patience to wait for that time.
 
Think! Do he have anything else that he did not use?
 
"I found it! I’m a genius! I’m the most genius and unrivalled super artificial intelligence system!"
 
Suddenly, the System that was silent for a long time jumped up and screamed madly in Benjamin’s brain, and it shocked him so much he nearly threw the book in his hand.

".... Before you launch a sudden attack like this next time, could you please turn down the volume first?" Benjamin deadpanned before he continued, "Wait, just put yourself to mute, and I’ll deliver a letter of appreciation to your supplier."
 
The tone of the System was proud, "Really now? I just had a groundbreaking research, though, are you sure that you don’t want to know about it?"

Benjamin was too tired to make up a retort. In this day and age, even a System started doing its own research?
 
"Don’t want to know it? Alright then, I won’t say anything." The System was trying to be cool.
 
"Oh, please don’t say anything. I’ll thank your ancestors for that." Benjamin nearly cheered and applauded the System’s decision.
 
The System was furious, "What the hell is wrong with you? Stick to the script! Nope, you’ll still need to listen even if you don’t want to! I spent so much time on this. Now, listen carefully," after it said that, he feigned coughing a few times to clear his throat.
 
What business a System has clearing its throat….
 
Benjamin wanted to spite the System, but before he could get the words out, the System continued saying, "Do you still remember the time Grant nearly used divine arts in the castle to save you?"
 
Benjamin could not do anything but nod and followed, "Yes I do. He did not use it, though. I wanted to see how divine arts looked like, to be honest, its posture looked strong."

The System then said, "Oh, there’s no need for you to be curious. You’ve seen it before."
 
Benjamin’s eyebrows raised to his hairline, "Did I? I never witnessed the divine arts after I teleported here. Anything before the teleportation cannot be taken into account."
 
The System did not answer immediately. Instead, he was happy being a tease, and only answered boastfully when Benjamin was seconds away from scolding it.
 
"Not only did you see it, you even used it yourself," the System dragged on, "According to my analysis, magic and divine arts are basically the same thing. Magic is divine arts, divine arts is magic, you don’t even need to separate the two."




Kubei was just an ordinary pencil and button pusher working a day job, hating his boss and making horrible speeches when one day he fell asleep after pushing an all-nighter. When he woke up, he was bound to a chair, facing three creepy robed women and in a body way too young and way too weak to be his own. As he slowly came to, he realized that he was no longer in the same universe as he was before. Third floor, tower of magic books.

I was browsing around the area where the meditation books are located. This tower is really wide, it also has so many floor. 

Where did all this books came from? Are the previous owners of the tower wrote books? It could be.

I mean the books would not magically appear on their own ain't it?

Anyway, I already know this tower is a mystery itself. No one knows where it came from and who created it.

I pick all the books that I think would suit my training, After browsing from the meditation book section, I move to another floor.

It's the 12th floor, That high. Ugh, is there some kind of elevator or something? While I was thinking such thing.

A coincidence appeared, A cleaning android is standing on a floating slab that was moving upwards. Without hesitation I jump.

Stepping on the round slab I couldn't feel any different from walking on the ground. It did not even shake. amazing, It's a magic levitation.

Arriving at the floor where the books I'm looking for, I jumped down.

I just realized, There are no windows in this tower. I mean up there, at the top of tower. I could see a sunlight but yet there are no windows.

Shaking my head, Let's find out that later. There are many oppurtunity I could get in here, I should use that oppurtunity and not waste it. let's not waste on something we could not get an answer.

Walking towards the shelves where the books I'm looking for while carrying two books about meditation in my hand.

The two books are called, the first one is "Clear mind, Calm soul meditaion" The other is "Tough mind, Strong soul meditation." The two books had the same writer. 

The first can help me focus and calm my raging soul while the other is for resistance against mental attacks. 

The book I'm looking for in this floor is about magic spells. I really don't have any powerful spells but just basic ones. I want to learn powerful spells too.

I keep humming while walking until I arrive. 

Browsing around, I found good spells I'm looking for. As for why I did not search for very powerful spells it's because I have a feeling I can't use powerful spells yet without learning the intermediate spells. After all there is no shortcut to success.

I found a really interesting spell, it's called 'parallel mind' I took the book cause it pick my curiousity. I read what is inside and thought what an amazing spell, No it's not just a spell but a mental training.

This will greatly help me. With this book I could think fast and think more. As the book can enable another second thought. Meaning I could think twice at the same time. But, It will cause headache if use too much or if one doesn't have strong mental resistance or mental energy.

Fortunately for me I could just refill my mental energy anytime I want. Sleeping can refill energy, I did not use my energy to replenish my mental energy cause I love sleeping.

Combine with the two meditation books, this will be so easy. I chuckled.

The second book that I pick was a disguise spell. 'Morphing spell' It's not the mastered one but the intermediate. It can only change the skin's shape. Unlike the mastered one that can make the person into complete different person from height, weight and etc. The mastery can also change gender. Although it can change gender, it's just an illussion it's a fake and cannot function.

I mean for example; I learned the mastery of morphing and decide the change my gender. My dick would change into a vagina but the shortcoming is that it's just an illusion that would trick the mind. In reality my dick did not really turn into a vagina. Also I don't want to lose my dick, or else I cannot fuck my women.

If a person really want to have the ability to become anything, then that person needs to learn the ancient spell 'metamorphosis'. With that spell anyone could become anything from human to animals to things or even dust. But learning the spell would take many centuries to learn, according to the intermediate book of morphing. 

Why did I even pick this book? 

Because this book will help me too. How? The world is full of women, If I want to freely roam around the city I need to disguise my self as a woman or else, I would be raped on the road if I did not dsguise myself. Frustrated women are quite scary sometimes.

While I was searching for another book. I only picked up non-elemental magic spells. I also need intermediate elemental magic spells, so I grab all elemental books that interest me. Some books have cool names such as 'Whirlwind storming the earth' or 'Water dragon strike's again'.

There are also weird names. I laughed while reading them. 

While I was browsing books I notice something peculiar. Between the shelves there is a wide gap and there is a table place on the middle.

On the table there is a book and it look very supicious, The book is covered in black and have black paper. It looks mysterious and could grab my attention anytime. But I'm not that stupid, Who would fall such trick. I read too many stories and this thing is very suspicious.

But I ignore the book and resume searching for books. I pick books after books, when there is nothing that could grab my interest. I go to other side of the shelf, but what greeted me made my face twitch.

I peek to the side where I came from. I saw the table on the middle disappeared. I turned towards the table that appeared on middle of the side where I am.

No matter how you look at it, this thing is very suspicious. It's intentionally luring me. I shook my head and ignore it. 

That might be cursed or something, I don't want another problem in me. It will be very hard and would cause me headache.

I continued picking up magic spell books. At some point I already pick up so many books. I need some hands.

While thiking such thing, I android robot suddenl appeared on my side, scaring the shit out of me. For fuck sake, Don't appear out of nowhere.

"Sir, do you need some help. I could carry the books for you."A robotic voice came out from it's speaker. This android is not a human-like but just a normal robot. 

"Yeah, Here take this."I dump all the books I was carrying. There is no need to be angry wit this program thingy. even if you lash out it some words it would not uderstand. Except for the latest adroids my famiy told me.

The robot and the black book keep following my from aisle to aisle. I continued ignoring the book.
