This is my very first LN I hope you like it 'cause I'm having fun writing it. Sorry if I have poor writing or grammar I'm not very good at English. and yes, my native language is English. Also, constructive criticism would be appreciated, just please don't be mean about it. I'm currently working on the first few chapters so you can have a bit to read before waiting for chapters to come out.

note: I'm currently writing this while also taking college classes and working a part-time job so I probably won't post very frequently, expect a chapter a day at most and a chapter a week at least

This is a non-fiction work. based on an incident I had when attending a family gathering. I found this very amusing and thus, I am sharing it today.

Mórrígan, the ancient raven of war, comes home one last time, and needs to face the fact, the city next to her castle doesn’t know her name. She became a ghost in the eyes of her Republic, what slowly started to collapse in her absence.

As we see from the title, the snake and the mirror are the two most important things in the story. This homeopathic doctor encountered a snake, the snake fell on the doctor. When the snake saw its reflection in the mirror, it was more interesting in that and the doctor’s life was saved.

Akirai gasped as she lept to the side, the snake pursuing her relentlessly, intend at claiming her as its next meal.
She flinched as the snake collided with a tree, biting through it with its sharp fangs, the left over stum corroding under a layer of green venom, potent enough that it began to smoke.
Akirai paled, in her life she had seen many, many poisonous and venomous animals, living out in the wilderness guaranteed that, add to that Akirais many travels across the lands to explore new regions, but she had yet to see such destructive venom before, not taking into acount the force of its bite, that thing was dangerous to make her want to turn around and run.
Akirai wasn´t sure if she should be happy or terrified that this being was a No-grade, a King Beast, sure, but a No-rank nontheless, she didn´t want to imagine this thing if it could spit fire at her, Akirai was a skilled fighter, but she was only human, to face off against such a Beast was the best she could do, but anything above this?
The only reason Akirai had managed to slay so many beetles before lay in the fact that their joints were weak and that the Beasts were one of the weakest Bronze-ranked beasts recorded.
The thing reared its ugly head again and hissed at her, Akirai entertained the thought of hiss back at it, but decided to keep on dodging instead.
To some, it might even look like a dance, the prize to win would be to live, the loser would perish, nether had the intentions of losing, one retreating, the other advancing.
Akirai looked around in a calm panic, her hands weren´t shacking, she was only sweating midly and her breaths were only slightly laboured due to her running and dodging continuesly, internally she was silintly panicking, trying to figure a solution out, sadly, due to her Beast, running was out of the question.
Should she climb a tree and wait it out? No- Snakes could climb trees, and even if this one couldn´t, her Beast could be the next target.
The area around them was destroyed, a few trees upturned with most of them being at the very least dented, only the giants were still standing, and Akirai feared what would happen if they fell, they would crush the both of them.
Akirai stilled.
Crush them!
Yes! That´s it! She had to crush the snake, even if it didn´t die upon impact, it would be restrained and could pose no more threat to them! Akirais eyes lit up as her thoughts raced in her head, coming up with strategies upon strategies, discarding them, and replacing them with new ones in the blink of an eye, she smirked, she had a plan.
Now? She needed to inact it, its own venom would, if all went to plan, be its downfall.
She circeled the snake, prompting it to attack her, the snake lunged again, and she once again lept out of the way, letting the Beast crash into the tree with full force, the tree barely even budged, but thats what she already expected.
She kept circling the tree, making the snake attack it again and again until holes and dents were beginning to show on its surface, to a bystander it might look like Akirai was just dodging without any other reason, but she was carefull and let the snake attack the tree trunk in one area more than others, this would hopefully be the place the tree fell, and fell onto the snake.
They began to wittle away at each other, and Akirai was only waiting until the tree finally gave out, the snake didn´t seem to notice that the trunck it kept crashing against was slowly becomming thinner and thinner.
Akirai didn´t know how long she´d been doing this, but she knew that she nedded a break, she held on stubbornly and when she finally heard a large crack coming from the tree she nearly danced in joy.
A grin crept onto her face, but it wasn´t a cocky grin, an amused one, or even a condescending one, no- the grin was full of sharp teeth and radiating blood thirst as she watched in anticipation as the the giant, hundred meter tall tree came crashing down.
It turned out even better than she expected as the snake got stuck in the trunk of the tree, Akirai ran away and to the side to avoid the falling tree, the snake managed to free itself as it tried to slither away from the tree, but it was too late, the snake barely managed to get halfway out of range before the tree crushed its lower half under its weight, it screamed in anguish, and Akirai laughed.
She laughed and laughed as she saw that the snake was trapped, completly imobile from the it´s neck down, she was roaring in laughter, feeling the adrenaline rush trough her veins, she fell backwards and sprawled out on the mossy forest floor, watching the crown of trees above her and the small hole in the ceiling in the forest her two fight had caused, the warm daylight gently spilling onto her face as she laughed like a mad woman.
She stretched out her hand towards the sky, seemingly holding the sky in her handy, she grinned widely as she closed her hand into a fist, seemingly catching the sky in it.
Akirai was breathless but far from tired, although her muscles were screaming at her, her mind was racing, recounting the fight and the many close calls she´d had, her chest was rising and falling rapidly and she felt her heart thrumming in her ribcage.
She let her hand fall, letting both of them lie in the grass beneath her and just stayed on the ground, she listened to the wind and closed her eyes.
Sylvie, as usual stayed silent unless spoken to and let her have this moment.

The girl lying in the destroyed, now clearing, was bathed in a halo of light, it stood out like a star in the pitch black night sky, as if the light chose to focus on her alone, the rest of the forest still shrouded in shadows, blood dripping from her form, eyes closed and a smile on her face, clothes in tatters and a few wounds on her form, she seemed etheral, untouchable.
In that moment, in that clearing, she seemed to be otherworldly.
It was at this moment that the girl lying on the loor, covered in blood and clothes in tatters, a content smile on her face, choose her own fate.
To live and breathe what she loved, to be free of all that shackled her down.
It was the real beginning of : The Shade and -The Shop of the night.

Akirai had been "Unique" ever since she was a child- Orphan, unwanted, stubborn- a street rat.

But Akirai became "Unique" in another way after she died in an unfortunate hiking accident, a landslide- there was nothing to be done.

But of course Akirai´s stubborn self didn´t let it end there.

How is it possible?
Wasn't I ant? 
How am I now a wasp? 
There was a new chain of questions in my mind, that needed to be answered. 
And the best way to answer the questions was to observe an get used to my new body. 
So this is what means special body? 
Something like a changeable body? 
No, not like that... 
So how Is it? 

I started to fed used to my new body first was walking.
Well, this body is absolutely better than that of an ant. 
Why? Because I got wings! 
Wait! 
Do I have new memories inside this new body? 
I started to discover that in my mind was a route to my new nest.
So this is how I can fly? Let me try.
After a while I figured out how to fly, it was pretty easy. But I had to look for birds and stronger winds. 
Hmm, I'm now in the middle of the forest, there is even rocky mountain at the edge of the forest. But which way should I fly? Should I fly this way or this one? After a while of consideration I decided to fly ahead because I didn't have another suitable way.
Before I started flying I detected several species of bugs and animals but I didn't care much about them because they weren't life threatening so I decided to
ignore them and leapt to air straight ahead. After a while of flying he stopped and landed near the river.
"Hmm, there is the bear from another day, should I try it again to obtain even better body?"
The bear was hunting fish from the river and when he caught one he quickly ate it at the riverside.
"Should I do it? Or not?"
"Rather not, the bear is now hunting and its restless more of it he is in water and if I get wet it will be end for me maybe I will be snack for some fish."
"Let's just continue straight ahead."
But as he was about to fly, he saw something that made him not to. In a distant sky there was a flock of birds about to land near his position.
"Oh, shit what now?"
"Let´s just hide..."
As was Quaren searching for some gap in stones near the river he felt a life-threatening horror and that was something he never experienced before.
While searching Quaren forgot to fly at a low height so that the birds will not spot him. But now he made a big error.
One bird looking his way made a quick motion and turned around to enjoy some hunting experience.
Quaren still searched for his hole when he noticed this sole bird.
"Fuck! I have to quickly find a hole to hide or I might end up being devoured!"
Just as he was flying for life a opportunity presented itself, Quaren noticed that something moved near the stones. And crazy life-saving idea quickly made a turn in his brain.
"Snake? That´s the best timing!"
Without thinking he charged straight near the snake. 
"What?! No!!"
But just as he was near the snake a bird caught up to him and nearly ate him so Quaren got no other choice but just to fly even more desperately near the head of the snake
to let the snake eat the bird. But our little wasp forgot a beautiful thing...
The snake hidden and wanting to ambush its prey landed his eyes on young bird that was hunting and wasn´t able to know that he also became prey of the predator.
Snake seeing closing bird chose to wait for it to get even nearer to have absolute confidence in catching the bird.
As the bird was just on distance what it takes to grab an apple the snake shot his body and directed his teeth at the weak body of the bird.
Bird not expecting any hidden danger got caught in mouth of the snake and in just two chomps got eaten. This is what the snake thought...
But he didn´t know that he even gulped little wasp with the body of the bird.
"What?! No!" Quaren screamed in his mind and tried to avoid getting eaten with the bird but unfortunately he was slow and got eaten together with young bird.
Just as that little wasp entered the mouth of a snake, snake closed his mouth still thinking about that easy kill. 
Quaren didn´t have another choice but to get stuck to one of the hidden fangs of the snake because if he did not do so he will get digested.
When Quaren avoided the body of the unlucky bird he quickly used his sting to launch an attack to snake´s tongue.
"Puchi"
The sting drilled itself pretty deep and poison in sting took care of rest.
Snake not expecting a thing to happen to him suddenly jerked and started rotate.
"Wow, so strong response but I think that it wasn´t enough.
"Puchi"
Another sting attack landed in the tongue of the unlucky snake.
Snake still rolling from earlier attack suffered a horrible setback from getting attacked again so he thought of revenge and started to crawl to the river.
Quaren knowing nothing still persisted in attacking with his sting.
"Puchi"
"Puchi"
"Puchi"
"Puchi"
Another wave landed on the snake´s tongue. Snake totally enraged from piercing pain that kept increasing hastened his crawling and in no time was in the water.
As he was in the water he opened his mouth fully open to let it get washed.
Quaren seeing that incoming water froze on spot and didn´t know what to do.
Water instantly engulfed little wasp and flow took care of rest.
"Noo!" Quaren screamed in his mind, he was unwilling to get wet but it was too late because he was out off snake´s jaw and he was just like a fragile
leaf in raging river. Fortunately the flow wasn´t raging but for little wasp it was still enough.
Quaren desperately searching for something that he can ride on was struggling with his breath.
Luckily he grabbed on some flowing wood and was saved.
Quaren exhausted from his bizarre adventure started to close his eyes.
His last thought before sleeping was: 
"This was pretty unlucky, but fortunately I got lucky."

I opened my mouth as wide as I could and caught the crystal midair and swallowed it with a blissful smile on my face. This time it tasted like what I could only describe as 'sweet release'. Ah this feeling is so intoxicating I could get addicted to this taste.
Right when I Sahra threw another green crystal at me, I heard the system notification again.
*Ding*
[Small poison affinity detected!]
[You will now be slightly immune to poison!]
[Your poison is now more lethal!]
[Due to lack of a monster core you wound get any other bonuses!]

'Auch!'
I rubbed my head as the magic crystal falls onto my head.
He?
This is unexpected...
As I read the notifications Sahra looked at me and tilted her head in confusion.
Slithering towards the crystal on the floor that dropped next to a tree I opened my jaw and wanted to swallow it, as I felt a slight breeze past my head.
*Swoosh*

After the human's cruel attack us and killed singing stone of metal, our leader and my big brother, we properly made his body to an tombstone, as we do it with all fallen for our species. We looted the bodies and ate sucked their blood to replenish ourselves. I carried the cute little snake who saved our life. Never would I thought that he could manage to do something like that. Despite being so small and young he was so brave and didn´t escape when he could.
Carrying him in my arms we walked towards the mystic forest on the first floor. We don´t know why but the pathways between the floors that normally compelled us are now so week that we could effortlessly walk through. Arriving at the cleansing hot spring I took a quick dip while the other two were resting and sorting the loot.
Cleaning my little hero I could feel him steering awake as he wiggled a little bit in my hands and let out a cute little hissing yawn. While looking at his cute antics a small smile formed on my face.
Continuing to rub his soft scale I got a little bit excited and he hissed at me. I immediately lessened my strength and continued to gently clean him.
After a while, the little snake just jumped into the water and almost drowned himself.
Panicking I quickly searched around the steaming water and fished the coughing snake out of the hot spring. After coughing up the all the water he had swallowed he looked at me gracefully and slowly neared my face.
Seeing him nearing me I froze up and waited to see what he going to do.
*flick* *flick*
!!!!
Wha- wha- what! Did he just lick my cheek! Uggg, I hope I didn´t taste bad...
Blushing a little bit I turned my head away to hide my embarrassment.
Hearing his hiss I turned to him and smiled, and he smiled back.
Not long after he prepared to jump again, but I quickly stopped him. He looked at me with pleading eyes and let him do as he wished but watched him closely.
After a few times he suddenly convulsed in pain and cried out.
Seeing the little grey snake wiggling in pain I franticly put him on a flat stone surface and ran to my other two companions.
Walking up to them I saw them having their things packed and signaled to me to get ready. We couldn´t verbally speak so communication was hard for us. We only do it with the color pigments in our face.
Not caring what they want to say to me I just pulled at the arm of singing stone of earth. We don´t have names as it is irrelevant her inside the dungeon and no one bothered to give each other names. And as spawned monsters we don´t have parents that could give us one.
I dragged him all the way towards the snake, but where the little snake should be is now a black egg or cocoon in its place. Not knowing what happened to the cute little snake, I looked at singing stone of earth, who literally made a '!' face. He was surprised to see a black egg slightly pulsating.
He then put his hand on my shoulder. I looked at his face and he signed me that little snake was just under evolution. Walking towards the egg I wanted to poke it a little bit but was immediately stopped as it was dangerous to disturb a monster during an evolution.
I released a small sigh and crouched next to the egg to wait for little snake to wake up, but i felt a tug on my shoulder. Singing stone of earth signaled me to go as we have to keep moving to avoid the treants from overwhelming us. Normally we live in the 5th to the 8th floor but more and more treants have been invading our floors none stop.
As the second strongest of our group he was naturally the leader as singing stone of metal died. Refusing to let little grey snake alone I pushed him away. Stumbling back a little he raised his hand.
Realizing what I did I looked down, closed my vision sensors, and prepared to get hit, but the pain never came and looked up again only to hear him growl at me in disappointment and walked off.
But before he went back to singing stone of salt, he threw his backpack towards me and vanished behind the trees. Leaving me complete alone with my little hero, who was undergoing his evolution I continued to observe him till night fall.
Seeing the illuminated 'sky' dim I began to dig a hole right next to the stone slape where the egg is and laid in there.
The next morning I woke up feeling quite hungry and had to leave little snake for a few hours to hunt food. But before I went, I gathered some dried-up leaves and covered the egg with it.
Walking around the forest for 10 minutes I finally felt a vibration and pressed my hand on the ground as to feel where it was coming from. Feeling the vibration going up my sandy second skin I determent the location of 5 small monsters more or less 100 meters right from me.
Sneakily walking up to them I could spot 5 woodland goblins equipped with weapons walking around searching for food. Two of them were carrying bows and arrows and the other three were wielding one-meter-long wooden spears.
Having already dealt with woodland goblins many times I quickly changed into combat mode and manifested my glass dagger preparing to ambush one of the goblins who has a bow hand and quiver.
*Putchi*
Ramming the dagger into his neck and ripping it sideways I felt the hot metal smelling blood gushing onto my face witch my sand skin rapidly absorbed.
Not wanting to waist the opportunity I dashed towards the other goblin wielding a bow and slashed across his face blind him instantly, before even the dead archers body hit the ground. Letting a blood curling screech out and covering his face in pain I immediately stabbed the goblin in his throat.
'Two down, three to go.' thought I to myself as a slight smile creeped up to my face.
The others seeing me kill two of their kind so quickly, were shaking in fear as they readied their weapons.
Seeing that they were scared shitless, my smile grew bigger revealing my sharp needle like teeth and quickly dashed towards them.
Letting out a war cry the three goblins raised their wooden swords and swung them at me.
Dogging the first one while slashing his stomach I blocked the second swing with a sand shield witch I conjured on my left hand. The last one didn´t manage to slash me as I already drove my dagger into his under jaw piercing his brain.
The one I slashed in the stomach is now on the ground holding the wound in pain while the other one is running away.
Not wanting to let my prey escape I threw my dagger at him and pierced his neck killing him before he even knew.
Turning around I grabbed the groaning goblin by the neck and lifted him up.
I looked at him struggling, grasping desperately for air whilst clawing at my hand dealing no damage thanks to my sand skin.
After a few seconds I got bored and crushed his throat while my other hand pierced inside his stomach to claw out his monster core and absorbing his blood.
After collecting the remaining cores and sucking the goblins dry, I checked on my status.
*Ding*

A typical reincarnation story about a dude who got reincarnated into a fantasy world as a snake inside a dungeon... but with some twists!

This information astonished the guards slightly as taming skills were extremely rare because they were not only incredibly expensive but furthermore not as practical as other skills due to their high requirements one has to fulfill before purchasing it.
Even the lowest [Mortal-(Bronze)] Skill tome for Taming was probably 10 times more expensive than common ones, without taking the efforts to fulfill the requirements one had to fulfill to obtain the permission to buy it.

They could only nod and let Shane through as the beast inside the bag was extremely weak compared to the strength of common guards and if a Low-Wild Shadow-snake were to escape, it was still somewhat acceptable.

If something were to happen, Shane would still be held responsible and punished.

The guards messaged their Captain through the system, that a Shadow-snake youngling entered the proximity in addition to his name, which was prescripted.

Looking at the message, he received through the system, the guard captain frowned lightly.
'Why would you begin testing the taming skill with a Shadow-snake youngling? Other beasts are much easier to tame for beginners?'
But the Guard-Captain couldn´t really understand this youth and he decided to remember his name if something were to happen in the future.

Neither the guards nor the guard captain found the name [Shane Suro] suspicious and they would never imagine that he could possibly be the son of their president John Stella, or even remotely related to him.

This had many reasons.
One of the reasons was that not many humans knew that John had a son or Shane even existed.
Only their servants and the federation's highest authorities, in addition to some other important families, knew about him.
In total, probably only a few hundred humans knew about Shane´s existence while his family name was still kept secret.
Shane always introduced himself as Shane Stella, instead of Suro in front of his father´s colleagues during important events and balls, because he wanted his family name to remain his own, personal secret.

Another reason for him to keep his family name a secret was exactly for the shelter inspections, where he had to show his name.
There were only a handful humans that could connect his family name to his father, which was exactly what he wanted.

Without the servants, there was only his fiance and his father's friends that knew his family name, because his father told his fiance.

While his father was touring around all the time, Shane was more curious when he would find out that his only son vanished from home than the possibility to get found and he smiled lightly while walking down the dark alley.

Right now, Shane could see more humans strolling through the streets and he could even see a few food stalls when his stomach began to grumble.

The dirt on his face and hands was slowly washed away from the heavy rain that poured down from the sky and his appearance didn't look that bad anymore as it had been when the guards inspected.

As such he was still served food without showing any prejudice because of his dirty looks.
He bought a large but weird looking piece of pizza that smelled extremely tasty, in addition to fried rice cakes, and sat down on a chair, where he ate everything with relish for 3 bronze coins

Shane was never allowed to eat junk- and street food, as such he was extremely happy to savor the taste, and the woman who sold him the food looked at him with a faint smile, disregarding the small prejudice she received due to his dirty experience and upon looking closer, she had to acknowledge that this youth could be considered extremely handsome if he washed his face.

After he finished his meal, Shane thanked the vendor and went further down the street, where he found the shabby building he searched for.

It was an Inn that required a renovation but Shane didn´t care about that and he purchased the cheapest room with a basin of warm water for 5 bronze coins.

Shane lived luxuriously his whole life but he didn't mind the shabby room he sat now inside and he closed the door after he received the tube of water.

Before he could wash up, Shane opened the leather bag, and the Shadow-snake immediately bit after his hand, which he immediately took back.

With a slap on its head, the Shadow-snake youngling felt dizzy and collapsed on the ground where Shane seemed to hear a faint whimper sound.

"Don't attack me and I won't hurt you...Easy, right?"  Shane explained in the [Primordial Language] he learned since he was four years old.

It could be said that most humans learned the Primordial language as their main language because it was way more important than their own planet's language as every race spoke it.

Due to that, everyone grew up bilingual and Shane found the primordial language extremely interesting, as he had never heard such a pleasing language ever before.

Every being inside the Primordial Dimensions could at least roughly understand the primordial language and the snake looked at him with fear in its eyes as if it wanted to plead for mercy.

Shane only shook his head with a faint smile as he began to wash up.
The room was completely sealed, even though it looked shabby, there wasn't much space for the Shadow-snake to flee and its head hurt way too much to even think of fleeing.

In addition, it was extremely exhausted to the efforts it took to break out of the cruel leather bag, but everything seemed useless.

It didn't want to die, but the human in front was too strong and it´s will to live seemed to grow weaker.

Shane never averted his attention and gaze away from the Shadow-snake youngling and he was astonished to see that it seemed so intelligent.

Normally, beasts would either go berserk in such states or give at least everything in their might to prevent dying, but this small fella next to him knew that its darkness enveloped fangs, couldn´t seriously injure him, and even more importantly for Shane was, that this Shadow-snake didn´t simply follow it´s natural instinct, which might be helpful for him.

"Little fella… I have a proposal for you... Do you want to be my companion?" Shane asked and the Shadow-snake looked at him confused like it didn´t know what it meant.

Pondering how to explain it the easiest, Shane released his Innate Skill [Taming] when a small but complex white magic circle appeared on his hand, shining impulsive as if it was alive.

Seeing the magic circle, the Shadow-snake instinctive slithered back and hissed, as if the magic circle was something evil and it knew, once the magic circle bound it, its freedom would vanish completely.

Shane looked at the Shadow-snake and was unsure what to do, as such he continued talking, terminating his Innate Skill
"I won't force you but I'm confident that you'll have a better life with me. You can receive good food, and journey with me through the dimensions. Maybe I´ll be able to help you become stronger and evolve into a Shadow-python or even mightier existence in the future."

He didn´t like forcing anyone to do something but he really wanted to have this Shadow-snake as his companion, because it seemed more intelligent than its brethren.
With his statement, that it could grow stronger, Shane mainly dependent on the Shadow-snake's potential and ambition, so he couldn't really tell how far it would be able to go.

Even though the Shadow snake seemed more intelligent than its brethren that didn't mean it could completely understand what he meant.

It had only been born a few days ago and couldn't think of anything else than growing.

However, that was before it smelled the food, Shane ate previously.
It also wanted to eat the same thing but that wasn't possible at its home.

As such its stomach won over the instincts and the Shadow-snake slithered towards Shane.

Both Shane and the Shadow-snake didn't know that [Artemis' Blessing] played a huge role to establish an amiable relationship until now, as the Shadow-snake liked Shane more than it hated him for killing its brethren, which was uncommon.

Shane thought with the Shadow snake slithering towards him, it accepted his proposal and he smiled while releasing his Taming Innate Skill.

The white, vibrant magic circle appeared once again and Shane targeted the ground and the magic circle appeared on the wooden floor.

Still slightly hesitant, the Shadow-snake entered the magic circle and a white light enveloped the snake, as a connection was slowly formed between him and the Shadow-snake

Around five minutes passed before the white light vanished and the mechanical voice echoed through his mind

"Finally,“ he thought,  stepping through the spatial membrane, into the vast and dangerous `Primordial Dimension` where life and death are infinitely close to each other.

Dying unexpectedly, Shane found himself in the body of a newborn baby, within a strange, foreign world.

The foreign world, inhabited all kinds of terrifying beasts which escaped from the Primordial Dimensions in order to create havoc on it.

Even though humanity was on the brink of extinction, the Primordial Dimensions provided an unimaginable opportunity to reach higher realms, while imminently threatening them with the possibility to be conquered by foreign races.

But who would have thought that the destructive and cruel Primordial Dimension where monstrous existences emerged from, would one day become humanity´s ray of hope?

Becoming stronger and wielding elements by absorbing mana was not a dream anymore, only to notice, that everything was not as simple, as they initially thought...


Follow Shane Suro on his journey through the vast Primordial Dimensions where he learns about freedom, friendship, cruelty, loyalty, and betrayal.
