This kind of resembles those character sheets my students carried around for their tabletop games. Although mine is more suited to a monster than a human. When I focus in on the minor details of my status it brings up some more information, that's probably how I look at the potential mutations and evolutions. So STR affects my physical strength, VIT seems to be a measure of my stamina and how durable I am, DEX affects my agility and reflexes. INT is just a general intelligence, WIS is more common sense and perception. So kind of like a book smart over street smart thing. MND or Mind is... magic aptitude, power and defence. CHA or Charisma seems to be pretty straight forward, persuasiveness and my ability to get along with others. And LUCK is rather simple, a measurement of my luck. Taking a closure look at my race, Elite Hatchling Sea Snake, it seems a normal Hatchling Talonian Sea Snake has really low stats. I got a boost to INT and WIS from my previous life, my luck, on the other hand, is actually worse than a normal snake... System what's different about my regional variant compared to others?
The Robotic voice speaks up again as the screen changes from my status to a description of the Talonian Sea Snake.
"A Sea Snake native to the continent of Talonia. As Talonian Sea Snake if the coldest climate one can find any sea snake in, as a result, they are adapted for colder environments with scales that can absorb more heat from the sun. Talonian Sea Snakes are the only sea snakes to lay eggs on land. They are also the only sea snakes to have corrosive venom as well as the ability to spit said venom up to 1 metre away."
So I'm well suited to attacks with my venom, the system really did put me into a body well suited to me. The use of venom was one of my favourite killing methods after all. But moving on lets take a look at the things that really interest me, mutations and evolutions. Going back to the status screen, I begin to focus on Mutations and shortly after the screen changes.
"Mutations are an ability unique to Elite Monsters. After consuming a sufficient amount of biomatter, an Elite Monster can mutate their physical form in various ways. The potential mutations available to the Talonian Sea Snake are: Enhanced Size, Spiked Tail, Enhanced Lungs, Superior Eyes, Gills. Your current state can not sustain any mutations, please hatch from your egg to view biomatter requirements."
They all seem to have their uses but I wonder if there is a limit to how many I can have? I suppose I'll find out once I break out of this egg but I should look into what exactly this evolution is and check my potential evolutions.
"All monster species can evolve after a certain amount of biomatter is consumed. Most Evolutions are streamlined from the infant phase to the adult phase. There exist special evolutions that can change a monsters species, these can be unlocked under special circumstances. Note that if an Elite Monster changes its species it will lose incompatible mutations it has undergone."
So this world's evolution if different from the concept I am familiar with. Seems more in line with umm what was it called again, Pogimon? Probably something like that. So how about the potential evolutions I've got.

The Juvenile evolution is straightforward, just the natural progression of my current species. But that path seems to be set and limited in growth compared to the special evolutions. what are the other paths available?
"The Pale Snake is a long extinct species that could traverse both land and ocean environments. Also called the Silent Death, due to its unusually small size and the lack of noise when striking its prey. Was known for its aggressive behaviour and extremely potent venom. Driven to extinction by the humanoid races in the past era. Follows the Hatchling>Juvenile>Adolescent>Adult evolutionary path and cannot evolve further. Available due to actions from your previous life. Unlock requirements: 50kg of biomatter consumed, kill 100 of your own species, kill 100 of other snake species, kill 100 of any other species."
Seems this is a special evolution I have because I was a famed killer before. Since my goal will most likely put me into conflict with many people I don't mind being a species so hated that I would actively get hunted, the Pale Snake doesn't seem to be very durable. I can't assume that venom alone even a super potent one like what the Pale Snake has will work well on deities. Can't just be a one trick pony and expect to come out on top against those Him after all. This doesn't even take into account the limited growth options. How about the Sea Serpent?
"The Sea Serpent is an aquatic monster; when young they are often confused for a sea snake, although they do share a common ancestor. They are far larger than sea snakes at all stages of evolution. They give birth to live young, unlike sea snakes that lay eggs. The Sea Serpents dwell in the middle layer of the ocean compared to the sea snakes which inhabit the shallows. They are known for being territorial, as Adults, they tend to use their large bodies to wrap around any ship the sails through their territory. Follows the Infant>Adolescent>Adult evolutionary path, further evolution is locked upon reaching the Adult phase. Available do relation between sea snakes and previous life title. Unlock requirements: 1500kg of biomatter consumed, be an Elite Sea Snake with the Massive Size mutation (upgrade of Enhanced Size), be an Elite Sea Snake with the Enhanced Size mutation. Note, both mutation requirements cleared due to the previous life's title, The Serpent Killer."
This doesn't seem too bad and its growth isn't restrictive like the snake lines, so long as I don't evolve into an Adult. But it completely restricted to the ocean. If not for that one demerit I would have seriously considered this. One should never underestimate a size advantage after all. Doing so nearly cost me my life once. So System, how about that Sea Drake?
"The Sea Drake is an aquatic monster and the ancestor of sea snakes and serpents. They carry the venom of the sea snakes and the size of the sea serpents. Few in number and only found in the near depths of the ocean. They are known for their solitary nature and ferocious battle capabilities. While not as strong as the monster who live at the very depths of the ocean the Sea Drake is still a beast most people will stay clear of. Follows the Young>Adult evolutionary path, further sea evolutions past the Adult phase are restricted to ??? but can potentially evolve into a land dwelling monster. Available due to having both the Sea Serpent and any Snake evolutionary path unlocked. Unlock requirements: 2500kg of biomatter consumed, be an Elite Sea Snake or Serpent with Enhanced Size or Massive Size, and Superior Eyes mutations."
Damn, that looks nice, I'm almost definitely going to try for this one. The Sea Drake has the Size and power advantages of the Sea Serpent while also having the Venom of the Sea Snake. But the only question remaining is the option that's unknown, it also showed up in the Sea Drakes description.

I've decided. This will be my end goal. Since it is available to all descendants of Spirit Dragons, I can freely evolve so long as I stay on this path I can eventually make more way to the Ouroboros. since one of the required titles is God Slayer it would mean that becoming an Ouroboros would be more than enough to take Him on. For my starting goals, I should focus on becoming an Adult Sea Drake and make my transition to land. Now that the plan as all laid out it's to break this egg, Lets boogie.

The cold hold of death was suffocating, but somewhat comforting in the form of release from life.

Alex awoke from his death like sleep in an inky black abyss, with no feeling of his limbs or body in general. Then after what seemed like forever a screen appeared in front of his view.

The information slowly appeared in front of him, an overwhelming amount of information that didn't seem to make since. This was a system, something he had only read about in books before, but now one was clearly right in front of me. Was I that lucky to be chosen to be reincarnated and with a system at that.

Alex looks through the skills and slowly came to a decision. 
The general understanding of each species were that they each played a different role, the wolf was purely based on combat, and the mouse seemed to be based on the opposite, the ability to get out of combat, while the the snake seemed to be a mixture of both. After some thought Alex picked snake for he didn't want to rely on combat or running away from combat in the new world that was to come.

I wince at just the memory of the pain that I had to go through mere moments ago. Slowly a new sensation appears, that of sight. Light peeks through my vision for the first time in forever and I can slowly see my surroundings. My body is very different then what it used to be but it seems like I completely understand how to use it. The feeling is strange almost natural, I slowly take in my surroundings.

A lush forest surrounds me, my vision almost normal yet I see red flickering blurs everywhere, I generally assume that to be my infrared sight. I look directly around me and notice a few others of my kind, snakes huddled up and looking quizzically around them like I am but they seemed less confused and more at place then me. After a few moments of confusion I realize feelings finally have come back to me, the feeling of sight and smell and taste all over load me, and this slight buzzing sound is heard with no other sound invading my senses. 

After a few moments I slowly realize that my brothers have started to leave the small nest and go out into the world and seem to be making there way, through the forest leaving the nest as quickly as possible. I get the memo that were to leave and slowly leave the previously cramped nest in search for someplace to hole up in. 

The forest was very large and my size was in comparison abysmally small and it took ages for me to slither to a safe looking nook in a tree, which happened to be unattended at the time. Getting used to these new senses was a must and I have to find somewhere to hole up into a safe place so I can hide if the time comes where I need to hide. 

The small hole was enough to call home as I snuggled deeply into it and slowly went to sleep after practicing using my basic senses. The thing about this new race of mine is that they can't really hear, well if they do then its these weird vibrations that feel really strange, not only that but my normal vision is horrible compared to what it used to be, now I can't even distinguish color only light for the most part. Many passing thoughts slip by before I fall asleep but the main thoughts are on how i am too get food, though i am not hungry now that doesn't mean i am not gonna be hungry soon. 

After a few hours of sleep I wake up as I detect motion that coming very close to the hole i am hiding in. Up until now I haven't been using any skill other than my infrared vision skill, and its only do to that ability that I can easily tell somethings coming. I try out my sneak skill that instantly makes me hug tightly to the wall and become slightly less noticeable than before but the creature seems to be dashing towards the hole I am currently staying. It dashes at an impressive speed, hiding in the hole very quickly, and only then can I tell what it is. A mouse cowards in the small hole, while i'm slightly further back, I slowly make my way closer too it only unconscionably and almost as if directed by instincts I snap forward biting it. 

I can feel vibrations as it squeaks helplessly as I hold it in my vice like mouth and slowly it stops moving and without a second thought my body slowly starts to move it down my throat and the mouse is swallowed rather whole. A feeling of supreme fullness slowly overtakes me as I get tired, yet the system inter ups me before I not into sleep.

Though my jaw is a little sore, these gains are far worth it. I quickly note the huge drain in stamina do to the sneak attack on the mouse, it seems Venom Strike takes a lot of stamina or maybe thats because my horrible skills, and keeping it down was probably a bad idea, that could have contributed to the huge loss. Either way I quickly Spend my AP and I decide to go all in  on endurance as that seems to be a large factor on any fights I take apart in and it will also probably help me if I need to run away from something for long periods of time. 

As soon as I finish with my AP I move on to the my evolution points but as I spend it I notice a different list than before.

The list seems a bit bigger than before, and I can't quite tell what caused it. It could be me leveling up or it could be the achievement I gained, or maybe even have to deal with my previous choice of evolution. Either way it doesn't seem to have increased the amount I can buy right now except by one, climbing. 

I slowly look through all three skills again and determine on getting Iron Jaw because of the sneak attack earlier, if I were to have gotten in combat with anything else I would have been toast for.

After his untimely death, the man named Alex finds himself reincarnated as a snake in a different world with a strange system called "The Evolution System"

Well, nothing happened, and the atmosphere became extremely awkward at one point.
The corner of Shao Zifeng's mouth twitched. If not for the fact that there were still blue light spots flickering by the edge of his eye, he would have thought that he had experienced a hallucination earlier.
After he determined that his mother was fine, Shao Zifeng felt a little excited about this new time and space. After all, in the other place, he was just an academically-underachieving, confused, smelly university student who could not see his future.

The light blue screen slowly unfolded as a dark blue circle rotated on the screen.
He did not know if it was him, but he felt that this system had a slightly high lag time.

When Shao Zifeng noticed the genetic defect indicated on the screen, his gaze suddenly blurred.
A related memory suddenly crossed his mind.
It turned out that this timeline was the same as the one in his original world, but the turning point came when there was a sudden change 20 years ago. For some unknown reason, it had caused a mutation in animals, and it was officially called the Unknown Revival Event.
After the Unknown Revival Event, many plants and animals had mutated and gained incredible powers.
As more and more mutated creatures were contracted as pets, the so-called purebred cats and dogs that were originally beloved by all became less and less favored.
Later on, a research report said that cute pets such as the Ragdoll, Scottish Fold, Teacup Poodles, and the like did not become stronger after the Unknown Revival Event due to human intervention, which resulted in genetic defects. As such, they could only survive as ordinary pets by a human's side.
The scholars did not find any one of them with an enhanced variation, not in that sampling study at least.
Additionally, in the recent 20 years of research on the mutated creatures, humans had found that after the Unknown Revival Event, the mutations were roughly divided into three types of evolutionary directions.
They were atavistic evolution, collective evolution, and individual mutation evolution.
Take the giant pandas in Tianfu's Wolong Nature Reserve for instance. The Ironeater Panda, one of the national animals in the twelve municipalities of Daxia[1], was the only giant panda to experience an atavistic evolution in the reserve. The atavistic type of evolution had been determined as the only evolution path within that species group.
Aside from the Ironeater Pandas, the giant pandas in Tianfu's Wolong Nature Reserve were generally no different from each other. Every panda in their species group possessed the same initial abilities, which was different from the Ironeater Panda's control of metals. The evolution in the panda species mainly involved the strengthening of their physical bodies.
Such collective evolution was universal, and no matter where in the world, the evolutionary direction of a species was the same. It was similar to the Pokemon Shao Zifeng had seen in the other timeline.
As for individual mutation evolution, it was not like the singular uniqueness of atavistic evolution. This type of evolution was almost irregular. Among the pandas with enhanced physical abilities, the birth of pandas with other abilities was possible. This evolution type was extremely rare, and many of the powers that resulted from it were very strange, most of which were not suitable for combat.
After Shao Zifeng digested the knowledge of the animals' evolutions, he quickly looked at the few other artificially-bred albinos, and as expected, they had no potential like the albino corn snake.
As creatures that had not even mastered any skill, they might never be regarded as true mutant creatures.
Several juvenile snakes with no potential cautiously kept to a corner, giving Shao Zifeng a headache. Why did everything in his hands cause him to lose money?

Shao Zifeng secretly ridiculed the system. Why don't you work on fixing yourself first?
It was outdated, laggy, single-function only, and a bit sharp-tongued.
Of course, it might not be sharp-tongued and was just a preset program. Otherwise, anyone with any sense would not have made it so crude.
A while later, he had inspected almost all of the juvenile snakes in the snake cabinet. Besides their names and slightly different descriptions, there were no surprises.
The reason he had persisted for such a long time was perhaps due to the mentality he had whenever he drew gacha[2].
At first, he would be full of expectations while he tried to run through them all. As he opened the gacha one by one, his mind would become more and more at peace. After all, he already knew the outcome, and pushing on was just a result of his obsessive behavior.
When he came to the last snake box, Shao Zifeng hesitated and subconsciously touched his waist.
Through the acrylic wall, the Daboia viper could be seen coiled up in the middle of the box, and it stared at him with its cold eyes.
The moment Shao Zifeng saw it, he felt a throbbing pain in his waist.
Should he go out tomorrow to buy some goji berries for nourishment?
This little guy was scary.

While he thought of the other possibility, Shao Zifeng shuddered and made up his mind to buy goji berries tomorrow.

[Host is injured! Choking on Bad Fishy!] 
 What were the odds of a snake choking on its own prey? It was extremely likely, but that very improbable event was happening to Zhao Fu. Plus, it was initiated by the suicidal Bad Fishy that rammed into his mouth. 
 'This goddamn fish! If it wanted to attack, it should have attacked me, why the hell does it have to choke me?' Zhao Fu cursed the fish for rushing into his mouth so suddenly, but he calmed his state of mind quickly and tried to properly swallow the fish. 
 After struggling for a few seconds, Zhao Fu was able to finally allow his glottis to go outside of his mouth and he slowly swam back to the top of the pond. 'I would have died. What little shit really knows my weakness.' He couldn't help but lament his fate. He just wanted to increase his bloodline purity so he could level up once more. 
 Zhao Fu then began to slowly digest the fish. Although he wasn't as bloated as before because of his Void Stomach ability, he was still unable to move.

 He was finally able to digest the fish and so he slithered back towards the pond. He needed just nine more fish and he could finally increase his bloodline purity. He felt both excited and nervous thinking about what would happen after he finally achieved the next level. Would he just grow bigger? Or would he evolve into a different snake? Maybe he might unlock a new ability? 
 These questions appeared in his mind and just wouldn't go away. In his previous life, it was a common occurrence for beasts to evolve after reaching a certain stage in their strenght, however there were also cases of some beats not being able to evolve no matter what miracles happened. It was just not genetically possible for them to actually evolve.
 Roaming inside the pond, Zhao encountered various types of fish. Some increased his bloodline by a tenth, while others had no affect. There were even a few fish that would poison his very being, which frightened. Since he himself was a venomous creature, how strong would the fishes poison be to actually do harm to him?
 He avoided any fish that would do him damage, especially the suicidal Bad Fishy which would try to choke him once again. Of course, he had to go up the pond a few times since he couldn't stay underwater forever. 
 Hours passed by and Zhao Fu was finally able to find his last prey. It was a fish that was about the same size as a butterfly. It wasn't too large, but it's speed was astonishing. After chasing after it for a while, he caught in the end and made to cause it some pain before swallowing it. 
 'That f*cker was quicker than those humans. Good thing I made sure it cried for its mom before eating it…. Maybe I should go and find its mom later on and eat her too for giving birth to such a shitty fish.' As his thoughts roamed all over the place, the voice of the Bloodline System appeared in his head. 
 [Bloodline Purity has Reached Max for Midnight Viper! Commencing Evolution!] 
 'F*ck yeah!' After saying those words, his vision blacked. A bright light enveloped his small body.

 Opening his eyes, Zhao Fu looked around and found that the cave seemed slightly smaller than before. He looked down and saw that his previous blackish scales were still present, but they seemed to be able to come off. He quickly slithered towards a sharp rock and began to shed his skin. 
 'Oh baby! Yes, yes, YES! This is the shit!' As he shed his skin, he couldn't help but violently scream in his head. 
 A few minutes passed and he finished shedding and when he looked at his new look, he was very pleased. He was black all over with shades of white here and there. Slithering over to the pond, he looked down and saw that his previous blue eyes also changed somewhat. He now had two different colored pupils. One white, while one black. It was peculiar, but somewhat cool. Even his body got a little larger. 
 'This is crazy. I basically turned from an ugly snakeling into a fricken super snake model. Hehe.'

 With a nod of approval, Zhao Fu began to slighter around the cave in order to completely understand his larger body. He also tried out his new skill, Cold Venom Spit. Although he still had his Midnight Venom, his new venom was much more practical to the current him. Especially since he couldn't get close to most animals. If he could freeze them for a moment, then he could quickly strike them and then use his more OP Midnight Venom. 
 *PEW PEW*
 He shot his venom everywhere in the cave. 'This is f*cking cool.' He kept shooting it everywhere and for some reason the venom was never ending. It felt like he had an unending supply of venom, which made things even better. 
 While he shot his white venom everywhere, he didn't notice a large shadow slowly creep towards him from the back. 
 'With my new venom, I could kill anything! Just let me at them!' His laughter filled his own head. 
 With his eyes closed, he turned his head and shot another round of venoms. Not seeing that his venom landed on the scaly face of the creeping shadow. 
 *ROOOOOAAAAAR*
 Zhao quickly opened his eyes and saw his venom on the beast's face and he suddenly felt faint headed. 'I was just joking, why the hell did you actually send me a f*cking monster!'
 Closing his eyes, he pretended to faint and began to mumble quietly. 'I am dead, I am dead. You don't want to eat a dead snake. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! Bohoo!'
