My body was in a tremble as I noticed Cory wasn't in bed. The room was darken so I rolled over on my back looking to the left. Now reàlizing the curtains were over the balcony windows.Then I also noticed the IV wasn't in my arm,pressing my lips together to feel my mouth wasn't dry.My lips felt pretty smooth which was good to know, I wasn't dehydrated.So I tried to situp but when I did the weakness shook my bones. Clearly, my *** still had me drained even if I was feeling slightly better.When I did manage to get my upper body up some. I noticed a dim light coming from the small spaced gap,up underneath the bathroom door. Which told me Cory was likely showering or putting on his cloths for bed. Although, I had no idea what time it was from the curtains blocking the view to the sky. Then I am to weak to even try getting my phone from inside my nightstand. What else could I do beside think to myself, until Cory was done?Really,I felt like I needed some warm tea which I'll have to ask Cory to make it for me. Although, I feel horrible for constantly asking him for food or drinks, I just puke up within minutes. So maybe I should just ignore this and fell back to sleep, I thought to myself. Well it was either that or stare at the dark celling, right? Gradually, my eyes started to shut as I swear to hear running water.Hmm? 
Guess Cory was showering so maybe he was getting ready to leave for training, I pondered on this thought. Yet, I still just tried to rest my eyes and mind since this weakness is making me feel sleepy. I felt myself zoning out. Until I heard a door knob sounding as if it was trying to open from this light jiggle it made. Guess Cory was done in his shower, I tiredly think. As I try to only fall into a deep sleep. But yet oddly this time, I heard that knob squeak slightly louder like it needed oil. Yet, I was puzzled beçause it sounded like it came from the balcony? A cold air came through to feel this light breeze. Why would he open the balcony if he's only just going to leave, I thought? So I open my eyes slowly with catching a black shadowed figured come hovering somewhat over to my bedside. 
Asking Cory in a soft tone; Can you please shut the balcony doors, your making me cold? 
Oddly, he said nothing to me as I heard from the bathroom the shower turned off? That was when I noticed from the dim lighting. 
This man isn't Cory! 
I went to scream but his hand covered my mouth instantly! Yet, I fought hard and clawed at his wrist but it was all useless. Since he smashed his bodyweight onto my face, suffocating me. This unknown man started pulling me outa bed as I kick and still tried to break my mouth free. All I needed to do was scream loud enough for someone to hear me. Desperately, I squirmed my body from his grasp around my ribcage and palm suffocating my mouth.

Horlaika left Silent Night Town.
When he walked out of the secret passage and returned to Edatine Castle, he went around in circles many times to make sure he wasn't followed. Then, the Undying could no longer hold back the excitement in his heart.
He could already see the rise of Snake Sect!
Silent Night Secret Society would surely be doomed!
As a member of the Snake Sect, he was eager to announce his identity, but he knew he couldn't, at least not yet. He still had to wait for the dust to settle once and for all.
Inhaling deeply several times to calm himself down, Horlaika was ready to head down to the slums of Lower Seventh Ring. That was the place where he could contact his allies in the most straightforward way possible.
However, before he even took a step forward, a dagger silently appeared at his neck.
Even when the edge of the dagger touched his neck, he still failed to notice the presence of the dagger, and when the icy cold feeling appeared, Horlaika was astonished.
'There's someone behind me? Since when did…'
Horlaika assumed that he was vigilant enough, even drowned in excitement just now, still keeping an eye out for his surroundings, but he failed to notice the person approaching his back.
This person behind him was powerful, it was the first impression Horlaika had.
Then, Horlaika started to think about where this person came from.
War God Temple? Or the internals of Silent Night Secret Society? Or the Edatine royal court?
The thoughts in his heart did not slow him down or cause him to hesitate, raising his hands in surrender.
Since the person had the chance to kill him directly but didn't, it meant that there was still ground for negotiation.
If he could negotiate, it would be easier.
He was the Undying after all!
Although sustaining death would cause some serious after effects, it would be better than dying for real.
"What do you want? My purse is at my right waist. If you are looking for answers, ask away," said Horlaika.
"Ho? Since when did Silent Night Secret Society become this kind and true to the heart?" A cold chuckle came from behind him.
Horlaika clearly felt a cold presence behind him. The moment the person spoke, the presence seemed to materialize, pushing against Horlaika's back strongly as if it were a knife.
Powerful! The person was much more powerful than he expected! At least a councilman level!
Horlaika evaluated this in his heart and tried to make himself look relaxed and harmless, knowing his struggle would be useless against a councilman level opponent.
Even though he was confident in his own abilities, the gap in strength shouldn't be neglected.
Horlaika's relaxed state was obviously felt by the person, who chuckled.
"Bring me to Silent Night Town," as he spoke, the dagger pushed against his neck.
Horlaika's neck immediately bled.
"F-Fine! I'll comply, but… do you think I can bring you in like this?"
Horlaike laid his hands open with his back at the person. He actually wanted to shrug but the dagger had cut his neck and any big movements would enlarge the wound, so Horlaika wisely gave up.
There wasn't an answer.
The dagger then left Horlaika's neck. Not only that, Horlaika even got to see the person behind him, the person appearing right before his eyes righteously.
Under the black mantle was a leather armor of the same color, and other than a dagger in his hand, a row of daggers were strapped to his waist. The daggers gleamed coldly in the night.
The man wasn't hooded, hence his aged face was revealed—it was Anderson!
Horlaika immediately recognized the old Demon Hunter.
He had never truly come in contact with the old Demon Hunter before but he heard of Anderson due to his identity as Wolf Sect.
It was also because of this that Horlaika instantly knew what Anderson was trying to do.
Wolf Sect Demon Hunters would never wait passively.
Since Silent Night Secret Society had appeared in the slums in Lower Seventh Ring, then Anderson ought to make the folks at the secret society know what kind of cost they'd have to pay for the unwanted visit.
A very straightforward thinking, stubborn in a sense and likewise, not likable.
Many higher-ups hated this kind of straightforward method, but not Horlaika.
Do note that he too was a Demon Hunter, despite the fact that his identity was hidden, so he too preferred the straightforward way.
However, he knew the important thing was to hint Anderson about his identity.
Otherwise he would be the first Snake Sect to die under an ally's blade.
According to how Wolf Sect carried out their work, they'd never spare mercy to their enemies.
Therefore, at the next moment, Horlaika signed with his hands quickly and cast a shadow of a wolf on the wall, his mouth the hissed.
'He's Snake Sect?'
Anderson got stunned.
The old Demon Hunter would never have thought that the person that he simply seized would be one of his own.
Of course, the old Demon Hunter would never believe Horlaika easily either. He sized up Horlaika with a dubious gaze.
"Let's talk somewhere else. You pick the location," Horlaika was being direct.
The old Demon Hunter thought for a second before he nodded slightly, "Fine."

The old Demon Hunter never expected things to unfold this way.
He was going to do exactly what Horlaika expected of him: teach Silent Night Secret Society a lesson—kill one or two councilmen and create chaos in the organization.
He knew how Silent Night Secret Society worked a little too well.
While the southern councilmen hadn't truly broke free from their shackles, using assassination against the secret society would be the best approach.
Both the Mist or Snake Sect would be the same, at least before this.
Now? He was forced to alter his plan.
The old Demon Hunter really never expected Snake Sect to successfully infiltrate Silent Night Secret Society's ranks and acquire a certain position for himself.
In his original thought, even though Snake Sect was inconspicuous, being able to successfully infiltrate Silent Night Secret Society as a normal member was already good enough. Who would have thought the spy would be an elite field agent. He didn't even dare to imagine. These elites of Silent Night Secret Society were only second to the councilmen and above everyone else after all. 
Of course, a validation of his identity would still be necessary.
Therefore, the old Demon Hunter brought Horlaika to the palace of Edatine.
He needed Colin to help him verify Horlaika's identity.
But…
Right after the old Demon Hunter snuck into the palace, he was astonished by the news he heard.
Colin was the true heir of Edatine VI!!!? How was it possible?!
That was what the old Demon Hunter had in mind when he first heard of the news.
As for Horlaika, he was surprised.
'As expected of Snake Sect! This is what Snake Sect should be!'
Unconsciously, a sense of pride appeared on Horlaika's face.
The old Demon Hunter saw the sense of pride, and he started to believe Horlaika was truly a Snake Sect member because the pride came from the bottom of his heart and it wasn't something that a Silent Night Secret Society member would simply show.
"I think we need to be more respectful when we meet Sir Colin," said Horlaika.
As for the respectful address of sir, it wasn't because of the identity of prince but because Colin had a very special position in Snake Sect as well.
If things went smoothly, Colin would become the leader of Snake Sect. 
It was what his teacher told him.
Horlaika had zero intention of arguing on that point, the thoughts of his teacher were something a student like him could never understand, all he needed to do was learn and complete the tasks his teacher assigned to him, like what he was doing now.
Horlaika suddenly understood why Colin would become the leader of Snake Sect in the future, because nothing would be better than the king of a country being an ally.
As he thought of Colin ascending to king and taking over Snake Sect as leader, Horlaika's eyes shone brightly.
The rise of Snake Sect was never as simple as he thought.
Silent Night Secret Society would eventually be replaced, together with… War God Temple!

Looking at Horlaika's reaction, the old Demon Hunter once again confirmed that Horlaika was indeed a member of Snake Sect and might even be a core member.
The old Demon Hunter could even guess what Horlaika was thinking because he was young before too.
He understood a young man would always have some ridiculous ideas risen in their mind at a special point of time, and they'd think they were right and others were wrong. Of course, as they got older, the idea would change and they probably would be ashamed of the idea that they once embraced wholeheartedly.
But, so what?
If a young man has no dreams, what is the difference between him and a salted fish?
Even if he'd be a salted fish, he'd be the saltiest one!
The old Demon Hunter nodded as he understood Horlaika's thoughts and also agreed with Horlaika's suggestion.

Monte strode to the kitchen.
He had a clear grasp over His Highness' whereabouts and also knew why His Highness would go from the garden to kitchen with Kuer Horton. Among the higher-ups of Edatine Castle, the hobby of the young noble wasn't exactly a secret.
In fact, in the eyes of the higher-ups, there was barely a secret.
There were sufficient agents and brain trusters to deduce things accurately, but the vassal cared more about his Highness.
"His Highness is fond of eating," muttered the vassal, thinking about how he could win over Kieran.
The vassal wasn't at all conflicted about sucking up to Kieran, it was his forte after all.
Of course, he also knew that he should finish his own tasks first.
The royal kitchen was behind a corridor beside the garden.
The vassal, who strode all the way, arrived there quickly and was stunned on the spot.
What did he see?
20 chefs were sweating like fountains as they cooked, and despite that, they still couldn't keep up with Kieran's eating speed!
Meat slices the size of a palm were stacked into rolls from a side and stuffed into his mouth directly.
Small chunks of steak with a little cinnamon powder over them were tossed into the mouth for several chews before he swallowed even the bone.
A whole lamb was being roasted on the roaster, the golden exterior alluring. His Highness tore a strip of meat with his hand, the skin crispy and the meat juicy. The juicy oil rolled down from the edge of his mouth, but before it truly fell off, his Highness sucked it back into his mouth.
Then, even his hands moved in a flurry, so fast that they whipped up layers of afterimages.
In a blink of an eye, the whole lamb was gone, the same thing went for the beef.
The roast beef that required five people to work around was left with that iron stick after His Highness got near, not even the bones left behind.
There were no table manners, let alone the bearing of a gentleman.
However, the vassal did not feel rude at all, he felt an unknown happiness, a happiness towards food blooming from the bottom of his heart.
Gulp.
Unconsciously, the vassal gulped his saliva, suddenly feeling hungry.
He was eager to grab a piece of roast meat, mimicking his Highness in curling them up and then delivering them into his mouth.
However, his instinct told him that it would be best for him not to.
Monte trusted his instinct a lot, so he walked over while swallowing his saliva.
When he got near, only then did he realize Kuer Horton was hugging her stomach from eating too much, leaning back and panting heavily.
It was obvious that she overate.
"Your Highness, Demon Hunter Anderson requests a meeting."
The vassal wisely kept his eyes away after a very short glance and reported to Kieran.
Although the two of them still hadn't verified their relationship, who'd know about the future or anything about it?
He couldn't afford to offend the future king, same went for the future queen.
"Let them in," said Kieran after he chewed and swallowed a piece of meat fried with egg batter. 
Through Bloody Mary, Kieran saw everything and was not at all surprised.
It was time to put the Wolf Sect Demon Hunter onto his chariot, thought Kieran from the bottom of his heart.
Then, he swiftly swept the food on the plates clean.
He stood up and walked outside.
A holy ground like the kitchen shouldn't be used to discuss proper matters.
A holy ground must be protected, its purity must be retained.
The chefs finally heaved a sigh of relief after they saw Kieran walk out.
It was too scary for them, they had never seen someone with such a ridiculous appetite.
His stomach was like a bottomless pit, not even legends or myths mentioned something this scary before.
It was truly terrifying.
Suddenly, Kieran, who was walking out, paused.
The chefs, who had just heaved a breath of relief, were frightened once more.
Kieran stopped, turning around and saying in a solemn manner, "Thank you for the food, it was delicious."
Kieran then bowed and left.
The chefs were stunned. When Kieran's figure completely vanished from their sight, only then did they regain their senses.
It seemed like… his Highness wasn't scary at all, it's just that his appetite was a little big.
What was so strange about a person with a great appetite?
Who never felt extremely hungry at one point in their lives before?
The nervousness in the chefs vanished completely.
Kuer Horton felt the change, her eyes gleaming colorfully.
She felt like she found the most anticipated moment in her life. She held the table and carefully stood up, struggling to bend over and said, "Thank you for the meal."

Kieran chose to enter this VRMMORPG game without hesitation, because he knew this was the only way for him to escape death’s grasp. Things were starting to fall into place. Drugs were a problem at all schools and Kingston Royal Academy was no exception. Instead of meeting a dealer outside of school hours like an average secondary school pupil would, they had a whole secret society devoted to drugs.

The person that sent him the cat had to be a member. It was now obvious. He still couldn't tell if it had been a warning or a threat though.

He thought back to Christoper and Alvin's description of Jack's behaviour before his death. Paranoia and puking up did match the symptoms of drug taking. The secret society had led him to his death by getting him hooked on drugs. Perhaps they had killed him by letting the withdrawal symptoms get to him and he fell of his own accord. It was a possibility.

He felt genuine hate towards the Pudding Club that was stronger than he usually felt. It was one thing to have a drug ring, it was another thing completely to get a pupil that people had been waiting to bully into the inner sect alone and get him addicted to drugs.

Felix must have known enough to tell Sunny that they had killed him. The black pudding he had made with blood for the Pudding Club might have been his own version of a threat to them. 

He heard running footsteps and tensed up. Much to his relief it was only Sunny rushing into the toilets.

"There's syringes and other things everywhere. They're doing drugs here," she told him breathlessly. "I think we should leave as soon as possible. It's dangerous."

He could see that the discovery had made her realise the precarious situation they were in. Daniel was inclined to agree with her. He knew that people went to extremes to obtain drugs and protect their stash. If they were caught here, they would end up like Felix or worse.

"We're leaving," he said. "I'll get George."

The poster caught his eye again and he hastily took a photo of it and stuck it back on the wall before rushing off to retrieve George. The redhead had found the same things as Sunny and was similarly terrified. Daniel took a few photos and pocketed a syringe whilst their attention was diverted by the fear of being caught.

He needed evidence of the inner sect's criminal activities.

"I'm never going back there again," Sunny vowed. "We're lucky that no one was there."

They hadn't stopped to speak until they reached Sunny's house and were in the living room with the curtains closed.

"Daniel, don't make us go there again," George begged.

Daniel knew that if he joined the Pudding Club, he would eventually end up there sooner or later with people that weren't as friendly as George and Sunny. He didn't know what he would do once he was in that situation.

"I won't," he promised. "All I wanted to find was a clue for what they were using it for and we know now."

"I guess we should have considered drugs before," Sunny sighed. "I wish it was something smaller. It's life threatening. What do you think happened to Jack?"

Daniel appreciated that she had calmed down enough to make the link between the club, drugs and Jack.

"From what I've heard, it sounds like he was brought into the drug taking part of the club which is the secret society. They wanted to get him away from Felix so they could bully him," he explained sadly. "I don't know what they gave him, but it affected him badly. They might have not even needed to push him down those steps, his impaired senses from taking drugs could have caused his fall."

Sunny's eyes welled up and Daniel wasn't sure what to do. If Ben walked in now and saw her crying he would be in trouble. Then again, he'd rather face Ben than the secret society.

"They're evil," George stated plainly.

"They'll probably say it's something to do with tradition," Daniel answered truthfully. "Tradition has a strange meaning here. Scholarship students have to be treated badly because it's tradition. The secret drug taking is most likely another tradition that has to be upheld."

He thought about the prefects. Prefects were usually chosen at the start of the year at most schools. Kingston Royal Academy's criteria for choosing prefects was unknown. There had to have been a prefect that was against drugs at least once. It was clear that any prefect unhappy with the situation would have been forced to go along with it or lose the coveted position.

The current four prefects had shown a lot of devotion to the secret society. They had recruited Jack, led him to his death, attempted to kill Felix who was also a scholarship student and had even targeted himself by drugging his coffee. He realised that he should have seen his drugging as an early hint of drugs being involved.

He thought about the cat again. Had one of the prefects sent it to him as a hint so he could uncover the true purpose of the secret society? It was worth thinking about.

"What do you want to do now?" Sunny questioned him.

"Go back to my dorm," he replied simply.

She shook her head.

"I know that. I meant, what are you going to do with what we've found out? You said that they wanted to recruit you into the secret society. I don't want you to get hooked on drugs," she said fervently.

Daniel was somewhat touched by her strong feelings about his well being. Her concerns were completely correct. If he joined, there was a huge risk involved.

"Liam is coming around to see me tomorrow and he's kind of forcing me to join the actual Pudding Club. I have some time. They won't get me into the secret society immediately," he told her to reassure her.

In a way he was also reassuring himself. He never wanted to get into the drug taking part. Some of his cases in his past life had shown him the consequences of drug taking and they were never good ones. 

"If you need to hide out, we'll help you," George promised him.

When he crept back through the dorm building to his room it was half past one in the morning. He removed the pile of clothes from under the duvet and lay down. He knew he wasn't going to get any sleep considering what he had found out.

"You really owe me," he said to Felix's empty bed. "Wake up soon."

He stared at the ceiling all night. Who had sent him the cat? Was it their way of doing him a favour? Could he get out of joining the Pudding Club?

There was the option of going to the police with the syringes. The problem with that was that it was a short-term resolution. The only part he had definite evidence for was the drug taking. The Police would probably give an anti-drugs speech in assembly and then leave it to the school to deal with.
The inner sect wouldn't have existed for as long as it had by leaving themselves open to something like that. Presumably all the members that joined stayed because they needed to get a drugs fix themselves.

It was sad to think that everything was this way because of tradition.

His thoughts were interrupted by a phone call from Anabelle which made him realise that it was already 8 in the morning.

"Are you still all right?" she asked eagerly. "Christoper told me about the cat."

He didn't know how to answer her. It was difficult to explain.

"Do you know what meow meow is?" he asked to start off on an easy part.

"Mephedrone," she answered. "'Is skunk stronger than badger? How long is a line of coke?' They're both from anti drug posters in the same series. When I looked up the phrase in the note, I found out where it came from and what it meant."

Annabelle had definitely done her research. She also sounded oddly calm about the drug issue. He waited for a meltdown but nothing came.

"I went to their meeting place last night and there were lots of syringes. I can guess what happened to Jack," he said.

"Daniel, I know you are clever and want to solve everything. Can't you let the school and the police handle this?" she requested in an even tone.

"There's not enough evidence. I need to find definite proof and I can only identify four members at the moment," he told her. "If I'm to bring it down, I need to know a lot more."

"I bet you think that you can only get it by being invited into the secret society. It will be too late then," she paused. "Have you found what Felix took from them yet? He was probably looking for definite evidence as well."

He realised she was right. Felix's actions showed that he'd known a fair amount about the secret society. He might have found something that could be definite evidence before him. That evidence might also have led to the secret society trying to murder Felix.

"No. I should start looking now. He must have found something major for them to want to kill him," he answered. "I really need him to wake from his coma."

Felix was the one person who could turn the case to his advantage rather than the secret society's. Without his knowledge he was stumbling around in the dark.

"If he does wake up, his memory might not be intact," she warned. "Head injuries have lots of consequences."

"You're right," he sighed. "I'm going to look around the school for the mysterious item that Felix took. It can't be in this room; the prefects and I have both looked through everything."

"Did you check the cistern of the toilet?" she asked suddenly. "That's a place that usually gets overlooked."

Annabelle might have read more mystery novels than he had which was saying something. Toilet cisterns did turn occasionally turn up in novels as a hiding place. It had never come to his mind because he'd only been considering practical places to hide things. Admittedly, anything could be hidden in a toilet cistern if it was small and enclosed in a watertight bag. However knowing that only widened the search parameter. 

Each room had their own bathroom and people were going to wonder why he kept using their bathrooms.

"No," he groaned. "Any other suggestions?"

He had asked Sunny the two days ago, but she hadn't come up with anything.

"Under the floorboards?" she guessed. "That might only be in stories though."

Annabelle was definitely a secret mystery fan. When this case was over he would have to see her collection.

Daniel decided to start with Anabelle's suggestion mainly because the bathroom was the closest place and he might as well do the easiest one first. He locked the door behind him and pulled the lid off the cistern to have a look. 

There proved to be nothing out of the ordinary in the cistern to his disappointment. He decided to visit the library next and then the classrooms that Felix would have used. Daniel decided to look in everyone else's toilets at night if he hadn't found anything before that. The search had the added benefit of getting him acquainted with the layout of the school.

The library was Victorian in style with a musty air to it. It was also annoyingly large for a search. Normally Daniel would have revelled in massive library, instead he groaned. If Felix had concealed something in a book, there was a lot of choice.

Felix's known interests came to mind so he located the cat books and the pudding books. Interestingly enough there were some Victorian era recipe books and he wasted a little time reading through them. However there was nothing odd concealed in them. The only part of the library that was busy was the study area and there were no prefects to be seen which was good for his investigation. He was dreading encountering Liam.

Next, he checked the classrooms that Felix was timetabled to be in during lessons. All of them were locked because the term hadn't officially started. That didn't leave him with much choice. He walked back through the entrance hall despondently. He was about to continue along back to his room when Mr Collings came running past him. Mr Collings stopped in his tracks when he saw Daniel.

"The hospital just called," he told him breathlessly.

Daniel waited for more details with a nervous heart. Either Felix had died or he'd woken up from his coma. One signalled the mystery being solved and the other meant that he'd lost his most important lead.

"He's woken up," Mr Collings said. "I'm heading over there immediately."

The one person that could definitely help him solve the mystery was now firmly in the land of living.

Daniel thinks he has it hard going through school again at a snobby all boys academy in the middle of nowhere.

Instead his first day ends with his roommate bleeding out into the snow right in front of him.

His boring second life just got interesting and dangerous.


A/N: so I was going through cool names searching for the cool name I could add to the story, but one name stuck to me aligned with my objective of securing dangerous artifacts or creatures. I'm talking about SCP Foundation; I will be changing the timeline of when SCP started to a much older organization funded by three dominant factions: trinity (templars), Illuminati, and triad syndicate (dragons). And you could guess which idea this comes from its the MMORPG The Secret Worlds. So Mythical creatures walk on land in their secret city in the UK the same in the of Secret Worlds. I also change something about the story in the Secret Worlds. One change is instead of random people who are running around with superpowers without supervision; I change it to train soldiers with superpowers. And yes, I played the game before I got bored, so I will be using my character build to make my powers. So mainly guns and blood magic. I know that the SCP foundation. Have some most recent anomalies. So the change I made is I will touch on some SCP Files "NOT ALL FILES WILL BE ON IT AS  THERE IS TO MANY OF THEM TO CHANGE."

So there will be cat people, lizard people, etc. but if some individual creatures commit murder, we have the right to detain them to keep society safe. Where cops for this part of citizen that are living in this society.
Euclid - they take more resources to take care and are not to be in the vicinity of human life. They sometimes don't follow standard human society and might try to take over the world.
Keter - they take extremely more resources to contain as in the hands of wrong people they could rewrite reality itself.
Thaumiel - they are unique objects, used to fight off other anomalous entities. So blood magic books, necromancy runes, ancient cultivation books, antimagic guns, etc.

I have seen too many anime fanfics. I want to change that by adding video game fanfic based on the tomb raider games and comic book. I am also first writing fanfic, so go easy on me when criticizing. Seeing no more members coming, Lin Jingyu came to realize what had happened, so he questioned the current president of the Sword Association.
"Apprentice Brother Lin, it's not my fault." Pointing at Jiang Chen, Mo Jianfei said in anger, "It's his fault!"
It turned out that it hadn't been Mo Jianfei who had started the Sword Association. It had been handed on to him from his predecessor.
But by then, it had nearly fallen apart in Mo Jianfei's hands.
"Him?" Lin Jingyu looked towards Jiang Chen. The disciples standing between them hurried to scatter, afraid they would get involved in the trouble as well.
The fact that he had been assigned to such an important job with Li Nanxing meant he was something, too, but Li Nanxing was so brilliant that he had been outshone.
Currently, due to the affairs of the Sword Association, he had attracted attention. He was also handsome.
Compared to Li Nanxing, he was more masculine, tall and majestic. His look was sharp, and even sharper when he frowned. No one even dared to look into his eyes.
"All right. It's too trivial to handle now. Settle it later in private." The grand elder didn't give him the chance to pick a fight, but rebuked him.
"All disciples, you must arrive at the Flying Dragon City before sunrise tomorrow to wait for the opening of the secret treasure. No killing will be allowed in the secret treasure. You should help and support each other. And watch out for the Evil Cloud Palace," the grand elder announced.

Jiang Chen had a Golden Dragon Card. He intended to buy some useful things, but before leaving, Nan Gong came up to him and gave him something. He said, "Jiang Chen, this is the emblem of your guild, the Holy Sword Society. Anyone who wants to join the Holy Sword Society will have this emblem on their tokens."
Jiang Chen smiled bitterly and said, "If only I could have had it earlier."
At that time, everyone was busy with the secret treasure. No one had extra time to join a guild.
"It's even better timing now."
Nan Gong looked at him confusedly. He pointed at the disciples who were still there and said, "All of those who haven't left have the intention to join a guild, so that they can be part of a team."

Ying Wushuang pressed the emblem of the Holy Sword Society on her disciple token. It was like a seal that symbolized she had joined the Holy Sword Society formally.
It was undoubtedly a challenge to the Sword Association.
Jiang Chen wanted to say something, but seeing Ying Wushuang's firm look and thinking of the pain she had suffered in the Sword Association, he decided to let it go.
Lin Jingyu strode over, his expression terrifying.
Since it was Ying Wushuang that had spoken, he aimed his aggressive energy directly at her.
Ying Wushuang almost stepped back in fear, but Jiang Chen stood in front of her before that.
Lin Jingyu's sharp look met his.
"You're Jiang Chen?" His voice was very low, and with the questioning tone, it sounded very fearsome.
"Yeah."
"Did you know that your state is the lowest among the starters of the Hero Palace's guilds? Aren't you ashamed?" asked Lin Jingyu.
"With your strength, you don't have to be hooked by your own lies. You know that state isn't the only thing that matters." Jiang Chen looked toward Mo Jianfei disdainfully, who was standing behind Lin Jingyu, and said, "If the presidents of the Sword Association are so crappy, why would I be ashamed?"
He wasn't frightened by Lin Jingyu's aggression. Instead, he fought back toughly. It was quite surprising.
Lin Jingyu hadn't anticipated that. He squinted, giving off a strong energy.
"A foreigner, how ignorant."
Lin Jingyu suddenly shook his head and said, "You'd better listen to me, you won't be able to survive with dirty moves in the secret treasure."
"Think about the difference between a team led by Apprentice Brother Lin Jingyu and one led by Jiang Chen. You should know what to choose."
Mo Jianfei, who had defeated by Jiang Chen, took the role of henchman.
But he made sense. The reason others were still hesitant was because they were afraid if they rejoined the Sword Association, they wouldn't be able to use Jiang Chen's spiritual practice tools anymore.
"A treasure from the secret treasure could save you three years of hard practice. Besides, if you die there, what's the point of the so-called restriction?" said Lin Jingyu.
What he had said helped those who had been hovering between the two make a final decision. Ninety percent of them rejoined the Sword Association.
But around ten of them joined the Holy Sword Society.
These ten-odd people might not have had the highest states, but their judgement and ambition were beyond compare.
They saw potential in Jiang Chen. They believed he would be much stronger than Lin Jingyu one day.
By then, as members of the Holy Sword Society, they would be quite honorable.
Lin Jingyu was unhappy to see those people join the Holy Sword Society. Among them were former members of the Sword Association.
"I can't believe the Sword Association recruited a bunch of fools like you," he cursed.
"The current Sword Association isn't the previous Sword Association anymore. Mo Jianfei has ruined it!" someone mustered up the courage to say.
"Cheng Kang, what did you say?!" Mo Jianfei said, pointing at the guy.
Cheng Kang was hot-tempered, too. He answered, "Your fiancée Murong Yuan doesn't know how to use a sword at all, but you recruited her to the Sword Association. She ran amuck in the name of her fiancée, the president of the Sword Association. The whole Hero Palace knows that!"
Lin Jingyu hadn't known that until then, so Mo Jianfei was quite nervous when he heard.
"Whatever, don't regret your decision later in the secret treasure." Lin Jingyu waved his hand impatiently. He wasn't going to waste anymore of his precious time on this.
He gave Jiang Chen a long stare before leaving.
"Jiang Chen."
Ying Wushuang was a little nervous.
She had dragged Jiang Chen through the mud in order to vent her anger for the humiliation the Sword Association had brought her.
Although Jiang Chen had dealt with others for her multiple times, he had done it of his own free will.
It was the first time she had behaved like this. It meant she had formed a strong attachment to him.
Jiang Chen said, "It's all right. It's not your fault."
He looked towards the other members of the Holy Sword Society and memorized their names. Then he hurried to head for the Sacred City to purchase some necessary things with others.
It suddenly occurred to him the Golden Dragon Card actually belonged to Master Chu Yun, rather than Jiang Chen.
This put him in a difficult situation. Did he have to tell Yin Shuang who he was?

But you… you surprised me the most. Mason was secretive but he had no option but you chose to hide the truth from everyone, from your friends, from Gen and Tyson" Diana said.
"Because I had no idea what was going to happen. I liked being normal. A normal friend… a normal person" Tyson remembered past sadly.
"Do you ever think the past would have been different if you have told Tyson and Gen about you being another creature of night, a werewolf" Diana asked.
"Everyday… Diana I wonder everyday about that" Tyson replied.

Mrs. MacCleod found Mason in the kitchen drinking water out of the bottle.
"I scold Gen very often for that" Mason spilled the water on his shirt and floor when he heard Mrs. Macleod's voice.
"Careful leader!!!" Mrs. MacCleod cried lightly.
"I am sorry!!!" Mason said.
"You are leader of our society. I know it's scary but you will be fine." Mrs. MacCleod said.
"What if I will never be fine?" Mason said sadly.
"Heyyy!!! Don't say that. Why would you think like that?" Mrs. MacCleod told Mason.
"I don't like it aunty. It feels pointless" Mason was worried that future does not hold good news for the society if they carry with that plan.
"You think life of a person does not matter" Mrs. MacCleod questioned Mason.
"I think putting every body's life in danger for a single person is not wise choice" Mason said. Mrs. MacCleod was impressed that Mason with such a young age is not ruthless and reckless in making decisions.
"We are desperate Mason desperate time's calls for desperate measures" Mrs. MacCleod tried to explain Mason.
"Do we? Are we really this desperate?" Mason asked with piercing eyes.
"This fight will surely cost us lives" Mrs. Macleod admitted fears of Mason to be true. 
"No aunty it will cost not some lives, a lot of people will die and it's not fight anymore we are talking about raging war here and the sad part is this society was made to bring peace in the world and in the society but this war could destroy everything which stands on ground today" Mason closed the water bottle and put it back into the refrigerator.
"This is why you are our leader. You think and you think for everybody" Mrs. MacCleod said while smiling.
"I know why father choose me for this role" Mason said while taking a seat in the room.
"Not your father… not only your father Mason… every one of us chose you for this role. We voted and everybody wanted your conscience and smartness to be used for the betterment of this society" Mrs. MacCleod encouraged Mason. Mrs. MacCleod was really impressed with me
"So why don't you listen to me. If you all choose me so why don't I have a say in it" Mason cried. 
Mason did not understand any of the things happening to him from last few weeks. His father three weeks ago suddenly breaks the news that he and his family along with Gen's family were a part of secret society and their ancestors were hunters. Their ancestors were the guardian of humanity and they fought from mystical creatures and with them from time to time but the prime purpose were always to serve humanity. Some of the members of the secret society still believe that their actions are only to serve humanity but Mason has doubts. Mason thinks differently. He does not follow belief based on dogmatism and assertiveness. When time changes, certain rules and ideology should also change so that life can be carry out with alike pace with that of world altogether.
"Because even if you might me the brilliant from all of us… you are afraid of war and that is okay because you still too young but you have to understand this that this war is not about revenge… it's about power too because without power you become defenseless and fear takes home inside you and it is the fear on which these monster prey and we cannot let that happen" Mrs. MacCleod tried to cheer up Mason. She was being very honest with her words and Mason knew it.
"What about Gen? Why don't you tell her the truth? I hate lying to her the most. We have been best friends from the childhood" Mason complained. He was truly worried about Gen's reaction if she would find out that the lies he has telling her. She would eat her raw and he knew that he cannot reason with angry Gen. Gen never keep secret from him so should he.
"She is my daughter but I love her but there is still a lot she needs to learn and understand before becoming a part of this society but imagine if all this go smoothly and we win there will be no need for this society and Gen to be a part of it. It will be perfect and I know you want that for her too" Mrs. MacCleod said. 
"You know she believes that you do not love him enough" Mason told Mrs. MacCleod.
"I know… I know she has many complaints regarding me and my husband as their role of mother and father and she is right somewhere" Mrs. MacCleod said with a faint smile.
"Don't you think you are missing a lot?" Mason asked. He knew that Gen's parents really care a lot about her especially her mother has a lot of things to say and discuss and most of them were related to Gen, her twitches and her tantrums. She had told a lot of childhood stories to Mason and Mason and laughed in each one of them. Last few weeks made Mrs. MacCleod and Mason to come even closer. Mrs. MacCleod helped him in the secret circle and around the people of secret circle. She helped Mason cheer up whenever he was feeling low or when he needed.
"If it ensures the security for my child… so sure… I can miss everything and I have already and so have my husband. We have our priorities fixed regarding that and I am sure one day she will understand it" Mrs. MacCleod answered and she meant it.
"When do you plan to tell her the truth?" Mason asked uneasily.
"Its chaos right now Mason… and she…. she is too impatient and chaotic herself" Mrs. MacCleod worried about Gen.
Mason chuckled on hearing that. "That's very true aunty" Mason said while having difficulty in controlling his laughter.
"Make sure she does not find out before we decide to tell her" Mrs. MacCleod said to Mason.
"Yes aunty… I will be careful" Mason promised.
"I am seriously requesting you Mason… do not let her have any doubts before its right time to reveal the truth" Mrs. MacCleod made a heartfelt request to Mason. Her words were not strong but her eyes hold a hope which Mason reciprocated.
"I know aunty… I will make sure that she remains unaware of these things until you people decide to reveal it to her but I request you to be quick in this case… I am not very good in lying and she is very good in catching my lies" Mason told Mrs. MacCleod.
"I cannot argue on that… you are a terrible liar" Mrs. MacCleod admitted by teasing him. 
"And she is good too" Mason remarked.
"If she is so good then why has not she caught us in all these years?" Mrs. MacCleod asked Mason which was both practical and true.
"May be you have been very lucky" Mason replied by scratching the back of his head.
"I do not know Mason but it has been so long to be just lucky for that" Mrs. MacCleod replied with a sweet smile.

"Those people really believed that they were working for the better of society" Diana mocked the past and the people in it. She mocked the people who were responsible for creating havoc between species and mystical world.
"Some of them may be but I am sure that Mason meant good and regarding others I cannot say much" Tyson took Mason side. There were various reasons for that. Mason was his friend and also he knew Mason, Mason was a good man. He was doing what his elders and his family told him and so was Tyson.


Sophia moved to a new town called Mysticburgh as a member of historical society for starting a new life with a little girl named Aisha. Although being a new person in the town she seemed to know a lot about the town and people in it then she says or pretends. Sophia bore a secret of her own and a agenda in her mind.

"And are you planning to share to us his secret identity?" Gene asked.
"I might if you stay and listen long enough," Nathaniel replied with a cunning smile. "Where do I even begin? The secret society, the one he is part of is located on the top floor of a skyscraper in the city's shopping district. Its members have one common interest and that is to rise on top of society. They meet and trade information ranging from business to politics. Sometimes, they even coordinate sabotages. One might say that they have direct influence on the city's economy."
"Why is Auriel part of such a shady group?" I asked.
"Good question. It turns out that one of the founders of this secret society is a blood relative of Auriel. When they started taking interest in the phenomenon of people possessing control over animals, they needed a quick way to collect all the volumes of research. Auriel was the answer to that. They made Auriel their public face to draw out the other parties that have the remaining volumes."
Gene looked a bit uncomfortable.
Nathaniel continued, "Have you ever wondered why Auriel always saves you, Miss Beatrice?"
"He told me I reminded him of someone."
He laughed. "More like reminded him of yourself."
"What do you mean?"
"Have you ever considered that maybe Auriel is someone you know personally?"
I was overwhelmed by all the information he just gave out casually out in the open. As my brain was processing everything Nathaniel just said, I felt a hand grab my arm.
"Let's go, Beatrice," said Gene as he hurriedly pulled me away from Nathaniel.
"What? Why are we leaving?" I was confused.
"I don't think we need to hear any more from him."
"It sounded important though. Weren't we out to find information?"
"Information on the Verdi family perhaps, but not on Auriel."
"What if they're connected?"
"They're most likely not."
"You know, you're acting a bit suspicious."
"Do you doubt me, Beatrice?"
"I don't want to."
Suddenly, Nathaniel appeared in between us. "You can't hide it from her forever, Gene." He turned around and waved. "I still have a meeting to catch. Have a good day, Miss Beatrice!"
"Are you hiding something from me, Gene?" I asked.

Under Bond's guidance, Fang Yuan quickly arrived at a pub in Purple Finch City.
"Bond?"
Two well-built white people gazed at Bond before looking at a cool-looking Fang Yuan wearing sunglasses and felt that something was not right.
"He is a big buyer. I've brought him here!"
Although Fang Yuan's hands were both in his own pockets, Bond was not willing to risk his own life and could only lie. "Is Boss in the pub?"
"You're lucky, Boss is in a good mood today!"
The well-built bodyguard smiled and opened the door.
"Rumble!"
The noisy atmosphere became much louder and was deafening and pressurising.
In the pub, colourful lights were illuminated everywhere and weirdly-dressed male and females were mixed in a few metal cages. The dancers wore skimpy clothing and were performing seductive dances.
Bond made his way into the crowd and thought about escaping.
However, at that moment, a firm hand gripped on to his shoulder and the tight grip which caused him immense pain made him plead. "No… no! I'll bring you to the 'doctor'!"
"Are you still playing tricks with me?"
Fang Yuan immediately tightened his grip and crushed a few bones.
Before he could say 'doctor', a few people could sense that something was wrong and were looking towards Bond nervously.
'How can he be still so nimble in such an environment? Could they be mutants?'
Releasing his spiritual will, Fang Yuan shook his head. "2 Mortal Grade mutants and 2 Ghost Grade mutants? Hmm… There is another Ghost Grade mutant in the secret room behind and its ability is similar to Sun Xiaohong, which should be related to quick recovery."
"Ah…"
Under the immense pain from the shattered bones, Bond started to kneel on the ground and broke into cold sweat.
"Hey! The handsome fella from the East… do you wanna dance?"
Fang Yuan could detect that a Ghost Grade mutant was approaching him. It was a pretty lady in her 20s, and she threw a seductive look at Bond.
Bond stood up and no longer felt the pain as he was in a daze.
'Is this casting an illusion?'
Seeing this, Fang Yuan sort of knew what was happening as he followed the lady to a corner with a sofa.
"Listen up… dude! I don't care who you are, but the White Pigeon Society will deal with the Brother's Sect!"
Sitting on the sofa was an old man with two bodyguards by his side. Fang Yuan could detect that there were a total of 4 mutants here.
"The White Pigeon Society?"
Fang Yuan sat on the sofa without any reservations and got himself a cocktail. "I've never heard of it!"
"We are a peacekeeping organisation, kid!"
The old man gave a compassionate smile. "The Lord has given us various special abilities, but not for us to misuse them. Mutants are ultimately still humans and therefore, we should live in peace with normal humans…"
"That's a great speech…" Fang Yuan gave a long whistle. "After that… are you guys prepared to maintain world peace? How is this related to me?"
"The Brother's Sect is not simple. It is involved in a secret plan of the Black Man Society… Therefore, we cannot be reckless!"
The lady which brought Fang Yuan here retorted.
"I'm sorry… We have yet to introduce ourselves. I am Paul and this is Lucy…"
Paul chuckled. "Lucy has a bad temper…"
"No matter who it is, anyone who has dealt with these alcoholics every day will have a bad temper…"
Lucy scoffed. "Old man… How long are you intending to collect information?"
"Soon. I've received information that there will be a representative from the Black Man Society who will meet up with someone from the Brother's Sect!"
Paul gave an apologetic smile.
"Wait a minute… Haven't the Black Man Society reconciled with the Federation?"
Fang Yuan twitched his eyebrows.
"They have only colluded with a few of the generals in the Federation Armed Forces! They are collectively working on the invention of a new weapon… Furthermore, the society leader of our White Pigeon Society knows the society leader of the Black Man Society. We know that they are insistent on forming a mutant country!" Paul sighed.
"I see! But what has all this got to do with me?"
Fang Yuan stood up. "Since the Brother's Sect has offended me, I will destroy it completely! It's that simple!"
"Hey! Are you not listening to me? Sit down!"
Lucy glared at Fang Yuan and started to spread her mind power in an attempt to hypnotise Fang Yuan.
"Little girl, you must know that this is not how you should use mind power!"
Fang Yuan took his sunglasses down and had a mocking look in his eyes.
"You…"
Lucy's expression changed as she felt as though she had entered a scary world. At that moment, that insubstantial mind power of hers was consumed, and a dreadful force started to come her way, pulling her into a bottomless hell.
"Phew…"
It only took a few moments before this white lady turned pale. She fell to the sofa, weakened as she breathed heavily.
This was after Fang Yuan had controlled his powers. Otherwise, Lucy might just turn into his slave or even an idiot, and that was within Fang Yuan's control.
"A mind power mutant?"
Paul was shocked. "Who would've known that you are one of the rare types of mutants…"
"Hmmm, another one is here. It seems like he is from the Black Man Society!"
Fang Yuan looked towards the secret room and released his senses. With that, he could detect the traces of a Murderous Grade mutant.
With a look of pity, Fang Yuan glared at the old man before him.
If not for the fact that Fang Yuan was here, how could the old man possibly think of capturing all of them with their collective powers? They would be considered fortunate if the people of the Black Man Society did not counterattack and capture them instead.
"No one can stop me from what I want to do!"
Fang Yuan announced his intention and walked towards the secret room.
"Stop! This is private property!"
10 over bodyguards formed a human wall and some of them even reached out for their guns.
"Scram!"
With a shout, an invisible force spread out. The glass windows shattered, the tiles on the floor flew up and a path of destruction was formed.
"Rumble!"
Such a huge commotion created chaos in the pub. All the youngsters started to scream and run towards the exits.
"Force of the mind?"
Paul looked at Lucy, not knowing what to do. "Are you okay?"
"Be careful, he is extremely powerful! He might be a 3rd Tier mutant!"
Chinese Country classified the mutants into Mortal, Ghost, Murderous and Calamity Grades. After receiving intelligence, other countries started to grade their mutants as well. Of course, they wanted to seem original and changed the naming convention.
The 3rd Tier mutants of the Golden Eagle Federation were the Murderous Grade mutants of Chinese Country. Every one of these mutants was extremely powerful and normal mutants or police forces could do nothing to stop them.
"A 3rd Tier mutant? When did such a powerful mutant appear in Purple Finch City?"
Paul gave a sigh of hopelessness. Suddenly, a wall of sand appeared around them, separating them from everyone else. "Inform the headquarters that this place is out of our control…"

"Doctor, it seems like you have caused some trouble!"
In the secret room, two silhouettes walked out. The first one was a middle-aged man with green eyes. He was wearing a suit and as he walked out, he gave a cunning smile.
"After all, by doing the investment, I have already left too many traces!"
Behind him, a doctor in white robes raised his glasses. "Did the society send you here to settle all these?"
"That's right!"
The man in a suit walked forward and appeared proud. "I am Roger of the Black Man Society! Are you from the White Pigeon Society?"
"Nope… I am merely a tourist! However, doctor, your Brother's Sect had offended me!"
Fang Yuan replied with a smile and leapt towards Roger. "Get lost!"
"Bang!"
With his fist striking out, he slammed into Roger's face. Like a cannonball, Roger flew backwards and was struck into the wall behind him before becoming buried by the falling bricks.
"Brother's Sect? No! This must be a misunderstanding…"
Seeing how Roger flew out in a single punch, the doctor's expression changed and his arms waved frantically. "My special ability is in healing and I can be useful to you. I can make lots of money for you, so don't kill me…"
This doctor was a mutant who had the ability to regenerate himself. Seeing how Fang Yuan was approaching him, he knelt down.
"Bang!"
Beside them, the fallen bricks exploded and Roger's silhouette appeared. "Kid… you've angered me!"
At this point in time, Roger's body was crystal-like as though he was covered in a layer of thick ice. There were crack marks on his face.
"It's Roger the Iceman!"
Within the sand wall, Lucy shrieked. "D*mn it! It's another 3rd Tier mutant… old thing, you almost got us killed!"
"Die!"
Roger paid no attention to Paul and his company. He rushed towards Fang Yuan and struck his fist out.
"Cccrrrrrr!"
In mid-air, a cone of ice started to grow out, forming an icicle.
"Hehe!"
At this point in time, the kneeling doctor suddenly revealed a surgery knife in his hands. Like a snake, his arms slithered as he aimed towards Fang Yuan's throat.
As the leader of the Brother's Sect, how could he not know any self-defence techniques?
"Bind!"
Without changing his expression, Fang Yuan muttered one word.
At that moment, the doctor froze in his comedic posture as though he was being restrained by thousands of invisible chains.
Roger's attack also slowed down and Fang Yuan easily dodged it before returning another punch towards Roger's heart.
"Bang!"
The iceman flew back once more as though he was being hit by an oncoming train. Quickly, he leapt out from the rubble once more. "It's useless… with my defence, even bullets cannot penetrate me!"
"Idiot… Why do I want to destroy your defence?"
Seeing this, Fang Yuan shook his head and sighed. "Do you not know that there is a technique in Chinese Country known as 'hitting the bull across the mountain'? Oh… I'm sorry. You're an uneducated swine and must not have read much…"
"What?"
Roger had a look of confusion before his expression started to change. He held onto his chest tightly. "You…"
"Bang!!"
A dull explosion was heard.
With a shriek, Roger spat out a mouthful of blood and many pieces of ruptured organs before falling to the ground. His eyes were wide open and his death was certain.
