I walked into the school on Monday and saw that most of the students were gathered.
"Quite unusual". I thought. 
It didn't occur to me that I might be the reason behind that gathering. 
"Look who is here". A student said happily and most of the other students in the hallway turned to look. They all stared at me and smiled. Most of them tried to get closer to congratulate me. 
"Congratulations". Someone said. 
"This is like the best thing we have had to talk about in years". Another student commented. 
"You are so good at this". 
"You should do this more often". 
"You are a superstar now". 
"Can you sign my paper?". She pointed out the paper and a pen. I snatched the paper from her with exaggerated force. 
"Eesh, easy". She said to me and frowned her face. 
"Being popular means being known by most or all the people around a particular place. Being popular in different cases entails different things for different personalities. While some people are known for their beauty, others are known for their expertise in sports and some are popular because they can sing or dance very well. 
     Being popular in Duncan high school is way different from all of this. A space in the upper echelon is guaranteed if only you can prove your worth. The lingering question is "How can you prove yourself worthy of a space in the Duncan high school upper echelon?". Anyways, I won't leave you hanging. In today's article Duncan Chronicles, I will answer the question that has left many students hanging. 
To be popular means to impress your friends and make everything think you are "cool". It's no news that I got detention last week for fighting with high school queen Kimberley McAdams. The fight was as a result of a scandal she caused about me in the school. To Kimberley McAdams and her friends, such shameful act is tagged as being "cool", how true is this? 
Popular girls and boys are always very revengeful. They will go at any length to exert revenge on whoever offends them.  This is further worsened by the fact that the victim refuses to open up to the school authorities. Being feared is being part of what guarantees you a space in the upper echelon. 
The surprising thing about the Duncan high school hierarchy is that getting to the top is as hard as staying at the top. After struggling to get to the top, you have to struggle even harder to remain there as even your own friends can bring you down. This is one of the things I learned from Kimberley McAdams and it will forever remain in my mind. Kimberley and I became friends after the detention. We were both seen by Clara Williams and Monica Hart walking out of the female bathroom. A few minutes before walking out, I recall we were chatting and laughing only for her to deny me in front of her friends because she thinks am "uncool". 
She apologized later and we went to The Seven's restaurant on a girly date to make up for denying me in the presence of her friends. You might ask yourself why The Seven's when we could go to a restaurant nearby and less expensive. The answer is that Kimberley McAdams doesn't want to be seen with me. She faces a lot of pressure from her friends. They (especially Clara Hart) decide her life for her. She might be the high school queen but she needs the approval of her minions to do certain things. The high school queen is afraid that she might lose her position if she goes against her friends or against the set of rules. In a later paragraph, I will explain the set of rules you have to follow to be a popular girl or boy or to be accepted by the popular group. 
It's is a known fact that the Final year Arts A class is the coolest and most notorious class in the whole school but how so? The most popular girl and boy (Kim and Marc respectively) are from this class and the other students are also considered cool. In this class are twelve ranks of being cool and only twelve students, the first being Kimberley McAdams and the last being Barbara Marvel Jesus. The funny thing is that the class representative, Disney Roberts is in rank eleven. All the power of being a class representative goes to Kimberley while Disney is only class representative in duties. Academic prowess is the last item on a priority list while fashion quality is the top item. The fewer morals and regard for authority you have, the better for you. 
Kim is a very nice and smart girl who loves kids and Ice cream. She is viewed by a lot of people as a meanie and a jerk. 
The class representative Disney loves to read and write but can't fulfil her dreams because she doesn't want to get on the wrong side of the high school queen. Disney is a very smart girl and can do better in her academics if she doesn't have to spend endless times after partying and hanging out with the cool crowd. She does everything Kim, Marc, Monica and Clara tells her to do even if it goes against her morals. Once did she not turn in her Spanish assignment despite the fact that she had done it because the other kids haven't. Thank God we have to wear uniforms, if not a lot of students would have been humiliated by the proud cool kids. 
Monica is a nice girl who cares so much about her best friend Kim but doesn't show it because the cool kid rules are against kindness and affection. 
Clara, on the other hand, is a professional gossipmonger and can gossip about almost anything. "She is the source of most rumours in the school" Kimberley McAdams said during my interview with her. The good side of Clara Hart is yet to be discovered. 
Rumours and gossip is part of being a cool kid. A lot of people will talk bad about you behind your back and pretend to love you in your presence. 
You never know who the real bad kid is but most of them are just pretending to be bad to get accepted by other people. 
You might find this hard to believe but below are some rules that relate to being popular:
* Be mean to people even if they are nice to you. 
* Party, take drugs and alcohol
* Gossip and spread rumours
*Do anything to stay at the top even if it means betraying your most trusted friends
*Wear cool and accepted clothes. Be in vogue. 
*The most popular girl must date the most popular boy in school. 
*As a popular guy, you must play at least one sport. 
*Do not join school clubs except when forced to. 
*Do not offer nerdy subjects like Trig, advanced science, quantum physics and engineering mathematics. 
*Do not be seen with a nerd even if your life depends on it. 
*Get into trouble regularly. 
*Be tagged as the school enemy by the teachers e.g Marc as school enemy number one and Kim as school enemy number two. 
*Make fun of other students especially the science nerds. 
*Be feared by all. 
*Hate all, love none. 
I hope this article is eye-opening for whoever reads it and I believe I have answered all the questions about being popular and has left no iota of doubt in you. The popular kids are just like us and should be treated no differently. Being cool should mean being a smart kid and having morals and values not otherwise.

Babe's Diary is the book you should read this season. It's is realistic fiction, it talks about real-life issues and is directed to the general audiences. It's a book you can discover yourself in. The author brings you closer to the character and creates a connection such that you can substitute yourself in the book. There were times I found myself disagreeing with my own characters. It's like I am living the story and I think you should do the same, of course, it doesn't matter what I think....lol. I enjoyed writing this book so much and I hope you enjoy reading it. This book is # Child abuse # Romance # Teen # Tragedy. 
This book may be quite different from other books you have read but am positive in the end you will be glad reading it. I could rightly tag it the book of all times but I won't be so forward.... lmao. I'll leave you to decide, share this book if you agree.

So I liked Ereku for a long time. Yet every time I tried to talk to him he'd just shove right 
pass me, which I found quite rude. 

I started to doubt that I could ever get with him. Of course I knew he didn't like me but...
I thought I could still try.
I even thought about him crawling back to me after I got more hot and popular. 

Not to brag but I was already rich so...
Well everyone was rich at my school.

I sort of looked nerdy. Braces, my school uniform which some of the girls didn't even wear and glasses.


Everyone would have laughed if they knew I liked Ereku. There was no chance that he'd like someone like me. And even if so, I was still a new kid after all. It was kind of a rule that popular kids couldn't date  new kids. Especially the nerdy kind.

But I didn't pay attention to that "rule" because it was made from one of the popular kids them self. Ereku's girlfriend, Araki Loi.

Okay enough explaining let's get to the good parts. Bye for now!!!😁

The battle already begun when we just entered. It started with A-yeong skipping past Yeon-min to hug me and now, it's evolved into a different type of battle.

The battle where we get to sit. 

The tables are all the same with the same grill, same plates and same wood. The only different on the different tables were the people sitting at them.

Don't get me wrong, everyone in this room is popular. There are literally zero unpopular people here, it's impossible. 

If you are here, you either know a national league swimmer, you know someone who knows a national league swimmer, or you know someone who knows someone who knows a national league swimmer.

Either way, guilty by association, right?

However, even within the popular circles amongst the Seoul school, there are tiers. Think about billionaires. 

A billionaire worth 1 billion and 100 billion are both called "billionaires", but there's a difference. 

The truly popular people such as A-yeong, Young-jae, So-young and I, we have the status to start these types of parties. We are the popular kids' leaders. That's tier 1.

These include, but aren't limited to: captains of varsity teams and models

The second tier are our close friends, such as Mi-cha, the girlfriend of Young-jae and Beom-sok, a close friend of A-yeong. 

These people are popular not only because they are good looking, but because they hang out with the tier 1 popular kids. That's the tier 2.

Tier 3 kids are mutual friends or regular friends of tier 1 or tier 2 popular kids. Unlike the tier 1 and 2, they can't host a proper party with their own connections. They need help from tier 1's or tier 2's.

The rest are well...irrelevant.

Yeon-min is barely a tier 3 who behaves like a tier 1.

With that in mind, a person could imagine how much Yeon-min is liked amongst the tier 1 kids; not very much. 

Most of the people who are nice to Yeon-min are either the really nice people like Young-jae, or they are the tier 2 or tier 3 kids who think that Yeon-min is actually liked.

The rest are gold diggers most of the time. I'm sure Yeon-min knows that most people want his money, but he is probably doing selective blindness.

"Min-chul! Over here!"

While I was searching for a table to sit at, some people from the corner of the room call me over. By the window was a table full of people I knew.

In fact, in addition to So-young sitting at the table and A-yeong's seat right in front of her, there was Young-jae, the person who called me over and finally, Mi-cha.

Seeing Young-jae and Mi-cha's enthusiasm in calling me over, I smile, a bit embarrassed and make my way over to them. 

However...

"Oh! If it isn't my main man, Young-jae! And Young-jae's girl! Mi-chaaa~"

I was leisurely walking towards the table with A-yeong making some small talk when Yeon-min, ever the charmer, pushes past me and greets Young-jae and Mi-cha.

Mi-cha, even though she is fine with being called Young-jae's girlfriend, she hates it when that's all they see in her. 

Even though her boyfriend is more popular as the rugby captain, she is still a track and field runner; a fast one to add to that. So, you can call her "Young-jae's girlfriend", but it shouldn't be her defining feature.

She isn't a vase! She is a...fast vase. Yeah, like a vase, nothing much is going on up there in her head except thoughts about her friends and running.

It's just that string of sentences, Mi-cha, who just met Yeon-min for the first time, immediately hates him. From having an amiable smile to looking like she ate a lemon.

Young-jae isn't pleased either. He has met Yeon-min before and didn't like him, obviously. Now? He REALLY doesn't like him. He insulted his girlfriend, for crying out loud.

Who wouldn't hate him?

"Young-jae ah~"

"Min-chuullll~"

"Min-chul Min-chul!"

"Mi-cha!"

With a massive contrast to how Young-jae and Mi-cha treated Yeon-min, I firmly shake Young-jae's hand and then hug him, while Mi-cha and I do a sort of weird hug.

The kind of hug that you do to your friend's spouse that shows that you're close, but that they aren't cheating on their spouse with you.

...it's hard to explain, but we basically hug while keeping out crotches as far away from each other. Like they are the same side of a magnet.

Young-jae knows what's happening and chuckles at our antics. Despite him knowing that I can attract women, he knows I won't take his.

After all, I already got 2 women on me; 3 if you count the missing one somewhere around the world.

"Ahh! Mi-cha! Come 'ere! Waaaa~~~! You are so soft, what moisturizer do you use?"

"Guh! Hak hak...ahem, uhhh, regular s-soap..."

Seeing this, Yeon-min goes in for the hug with Mi-cha. Despite being distraught, Young-jae lets out a chuckle when he sees his future wife struggling with a farm animal.

...well, I'd assume that it would be ex-future wife for now. Give it 3 months and she'll get over it.

"Heehee- ahem ahem, I think that's enough for now, Yeon-min sshi"

"Waaaa, don't get jealous now, Young-jae! You shouldn't worry, I'm not gonna steal her from you"

When he said "steal her", I swear that I saw the table that Young-jae was gripping slightly crumble into little dust particles.

Mi-cha, seeing her boyfriend's forehead veins tighten and bulge, decides to let his previous chuckle go. After all, this Yeon-min fellow might not leave this place a full man.

I notice that the situation might get out of hand and remembering Young-jae's temper  when he's actually mad, I tap his shoulder with my hand and then shake my head.

(Bro-lepathy POV)

'Don't do it, my guy. You are the captain of the team, don't risk it'

'M-Min-chul, it's too hard'

'First of all, never say that to me again. Second of all, let's just let it go for now, alright? This isn't the proper time'

(MC POV)

After a few seconds of convincing, he lightly let's go of the table with his fingerprints and sits back down. The seating arrangement goes like this:

Me, Young-jae and Mi-cha on the wall side and A-yeong, So-young and Yeon-min on the other side.

Why am I not with So-young and A-yeong? That's because before I could pull out the chair, Yeon-min took the chair from me. With So-young scowling at A-yeong, she ignores it completely while conversing with me.

"Min-chul, you did so well!"

"A-ahh, thank you A-yeong. It was a bit hard, but I pulled through"

While I answer A-yeong's questions, So-young is glaring at her with her usual scary eyes. Meanwhile, Yeon-min is trying to converse with So-young, and failing horribly.

"Ahhh, my queen! It's so nice to see you again! Actually, I got you a little gift. HANA! BOX!!!"

If him buying a gift for a girl who doesn't like him isn't enough, he yells out a girl's name like she is his property for said gift.

By now, So-young is looking at him as if he was a dung beetle. She really, really hated this "man". Somehow, even more so with that little stunt.

I'm sure he saw it as bragging about his maids or something, but it comes across as pretentious and annoying.

As Hana hands him the decorated wooden box, she lightly winks at me before leaving. Gosh, is she courting death? Because death was right beside her, staring at her.

With the box in hand, he opens it up and...it's a diamond ring. Not just any diamond ring, but a MASSIVE diamond ring. I'm talking above 5 carats large. 

"This is a small gift of mine. It costed not too much; only 70 million won. Ahahaha, wanna take it?"

"Grrr.....t-th-thanks, Y. E. O. N-M. I. N"

With gritted teeth, she accepts it with a heavy heart, considering the cost of this damn ring. Something about the same size as her pinky finger costing more than her mother makes in about 2 years.

It's stupidly expensive. She'll probably just sell it on the market some time later when he isn't looking.

Oh oh poor him.

Life isn’t fair and Kim Min-chul knows it...except it isn’t for the reason you are thinking.

he has a tall height of 184 cm, a fast metabolism, perfect swimmer’s body without even trying and is unknowingly a ladies man!

Unfortunately however, he let this all get to his head. Not starting his swimming career until he was in junior high and barely making it into the international leagues. Even then, he would neglect his training regularly.

With his 184 cm height, his constant slumping caused him to lose some height, eventually reducing  to 176 cm.
Even with his fast metabolism, he ate too much and rarely exercised; giving him a potbelly at 29.
Despite his natural swimmer’s body, his shoulders got narrowed down and social skills now non-existent.

NOTE: This story isn’t one of those “ sport is life” novels. This is the story of redemption for a man who lost everything due to his own negligence. He isn’t a swimmer, he is a regular guy with a life who is also happens to be a swimmer. 

Don’t get me wrong though, there will be tournament arcs and swimming tournaments but I will focus on a more slice of life type story for this novel.

"you shouldn't say that.." she said silently. "maybe it's real?" she said silent again. I sighed and asked angrily: "UGH, tell me already? what is it all about?" it was complete silence in the classroom. "well first you have to say: "welcome me to the unknown, Welcome me to your eyes, welcome me to your death. welcome me to you..uh what was it again?.. anyways something like that... and you have to say it in complete darkness. because in the darkness you can find the unknown...." she said creeped out. My dumb self still didn't get that it might be dangerous. "rumours go that one student got granted and was never seen. all we can remember is a bloody scream "PLEASE DONT TAKE ME". that student was never seen ever again. that's why this game is not allowed at school. But maybe it's not real? because many tried it, but they are still in the world. we dont even know if the student played the game. it is... unknown..." she said even more creeped out. that's when it got my interest, and my CURIOSITY took control again. "alright, if I try this. everyone knows not to call me freak, clingy or scared. or else I'll force them to do it." I smiled evily. Even though that evil smile was fake, and I wouldn't do that. "alright alright..." she said a bit scared of me. "ha! nobody will want to mess with me if i do it" I said proudly to myself. "alright, I'll do it." I smiled. but how could i have been so dumb to hear such a story and still try it. But for your safety, i will not say what and how I did the game. first because it might curse you, and second because it might do worse than give you a curse. well if you try it... I was lucky, know that. "hmmm, Bri said she didn't have the game's papers anymore.." I said to myself questioning how I would try it. you might be thinking: "why not just lie and say you have even though you haven't? better to be safe than sorry." honestly at that time I was blinded by humanity. And I hated lying. I tried searching on google but nothing came up. I tried finding any books about it. but there were none to find of how to play. more overly just fictional stories that probably haven't even heard about the game of the "One eyed woman". One time at 0:00 AM. I was awake at midnight. i tried to find a way to search it as. "The unknown of the One eyed woman" came to my head. I laughed at the thought of how dumb that sounded. but I tried anyways. it came up...IT CAME UP! I thought to myself happily. I clicked it. The instructions were looooong. there were no such things as "welcome me to- whatever" part. I guess what bri said was wrong and fake." I said to myself a bit disappointed in her. I did what it said. and nothing happened. "what a waste." i said to myself. I printed the papers so I could show them it. and went to bed. I woke up in the morning. Brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, made my lunch and went to school. Bri and some popular kids walked to my direction. "Hey miss weird clingy girl! did you find the paper?" she asked. I looked at her, and I felt proud. "Yes and I tried it. Nothing happened." I smiled. "No way! when?" she asked desperate. "0:00AM at midnight." I smiled proud. "No way! Your lying!" she said shocked and not believing that I did. "Oh ya? Check the printed one out." I said trying to convince her. "It is it... how?" she looked at me unbelievable. "but I don't believe you did it and definitely not at 0:00AM!" she said unconvinced that I did. "I can do it again if you want. in front of you!" I said unscared. I was so confident. after school, at a dark room. Bri and some popular kids including that dumb jerk Blash. were all there about to watch me do it. directly when I started. she stopped me, "What kinda language is that???" she looked at me weird. I looked at her, "What?" The popular kids looked at me weird. one girl from the popular kids said "Its not whatever you said first! its written "Welcome me to the unknown" first!" the others shook their head in agreement. "What? but it says ○●□■°•☆¿¡¡ <o> ¿ not welcome to the unknown or whatever" I look at them weird. "what...? anyways I'm not the only one seeing welcome me to the unknown" one of the popular kids looked at the others who all shook their head in agreement. I sighed, "Is this a prank?" I looked at them. "you think this is a prank" Jason a guy from the group of popular kids asked offended. "Ya, you guys always mess with others like me" I blicked him. "Are YOU pranking us, or are you actually blind" Bli asked offensive towards me. "Excuse me, honestly you guys are the blind ones!" I talked back. "Shut up, all of you..." bri said silent. "read what it said again." she commanded quiet. "○●□■°•☆¿¡¡ <o> ¿?" I said. "Are you reading this as english?" she asked again. the others started to watch silently as well. and Jason and Bli came to their senses and started to shut up completely. I answered creeped out by the question: "Yes, ○●□■°•☆¿¡¡ <o> ¿ is what it says at the first. are you hearing this as another language." Bri and the others stood silent. "it's no language, I have never heard that before. trust me, I have heard of a whistling language but never this." others became completely silent. "there aren't any human pronunciation or sounds that can represent it" bli said starting to understand. I was still confused. "DON'T YOU GET IT?!" jason screamed at me. "Can you see more than what we see?" bri asked, pointing the paper to my face. she points where the instructions end for them. I pointed where it ended for me. my view of it was way longer than them. "Its real then, dont do it". I shut up completely. "I didn't lie when I said I did it at 0:00AM...." I said mumbling. everyone was silent. bri and the others looked at me. "please forgive us for our actions we have caused for you, if you ever come back.

It was all normal. Everything, but I had to ruin it. Let me introduce you to me. I'm a girl, 13 or so. I lived in a big city. The city of Nirae. I went to a normal high school... but a bit more strict than usual and with a ton of rumours.

Today is my first day of highschool. I go to Red Brick High. First impressions really count if you're wanting to be popular. Walking to school is not a good first impression. Some people are staring at me as I hit school grounds. 

As I walk into the building, I start scoping out the competition. There's not much so I move on. Within seconds, I start making my way to the popular kids. Afters years of practice, you know which kids are cool, and which kids are complete idiots.

"Hey, what's up guys, I'm Jack." I stood in front of three guys, all wearing hoodies and leggings. Two of them were tall, definitely over 6 feet. They both had light brown hair and looked liked they could've been twins. The other, however, was shorter, about 5' 9" and skinny, with black hair and dark skin. They probably had a lot of girls chasing after them.

"Hey bro! I'm Cameron, and this is Carter and Itsuki." Said the kid with light brown hair, pointing to his look a-like, then the other kid.
"Okay, quick question, are you and Carter twins.", I asked Cameron.

Carter piped in nervously, "Heh, no, we're not related in any way, we just look similar." "Oh, sorry dude." I said. "Hey, I was wondering if we all could be friends?"

It's simple enough to talk to the cool kids,  but way harder to join them. I almost thought I wouldn't get in by how long they took to answer. "Yeah, you seem like a cool dude."

'Phew! That was close.' I thought. "That's great! What classes do you guys have first period?" I said, trying to figure out how to stay in the friend group for more than a hour. "Itsuki and I have math with Ms. Larsen.", said Carter, looking melancholic. Taking that cue, I put in, "Oh, that's sucks." "Yeah" Itsuki finally spoke. "What about you Cameron?" I asked, cause you had to include everyone in a conversation as important as this. "Science, Mr. Black."

"I have gym first. Well I got to go, see you all at lunch?" Inviting them first makes it seem like they can trust you. "Yeah" they all spoke in unison. 

With that I walk away, heading to my next class. Talking to the already popular kids worked. If people find out they let you join their group, you can guarantee they'll know you. I am already getting looks as I walk past them. A girl even walks up to me asking, "H-Hi, you're J-Jack right?" Yep, already getting noticed. "Yeah, you are?" "Abbie", and with that she runs away back to her own friends.

Step one to breaking a person's heart:

•Be kind, nobody expects you to be mean otherwise.
•Befriend them, if you gain their trust, their hearts break even more.
•Become popular, people will then take your side over their's.

Now that step one is in action, I can begin destroying this school's student body one by one. I won't stop until everyone either hates me, or is too blinded by trust to question my loyalty.

They didn't have time to look after kids. Therefore, some kids were sent to the village to stay with their grandparents. She found it disgusting at how two-faced they were. Alyce felt bad that Adora had to hear all these things but in due time, the rumors turned into compliments.
While the kids were playing outside, Alyce was setting up the plates and cups. She set the basket full of pastries and sandwiches in front of her while organizing the wooden utensils.
While setting up a couple more things, a sweet voice called out, "Mommy! We're back!"
A cute little girl with braided red hair and large cute orange eyes rushed up to Alyce with a big smile. Alyce engulfed the little girl in a big hug and pecked her cheek, "Did you have fun, Ari?"
Arlette nodded happily as her older brother walked up behind her, "Mom, why is Ari acting childish now? She was talking with a mature voice at a 12-year-old boy earlier but I scared him away."
Arlette continued to hug Alyce and glared playfully at her brother, "Because I love mommy!"
Tyon rolled his eyes and sat down beside Alyce with a book. He flipped the book open and started reading.
Alyce smiled as she watched her son read. If he was in the modern world, he'd be called the handsome nerd.
Alyce was a bit upset that Tyon didn't miss her and decided to tease him. She set Arlette to the other side of her and sad with a sad baby-like voice, "Ty! Mommy wants a hug."
Tyon shuddered when hearing the voice and looked at Alyce with a pained expression, "Stop please..."
"Not unless mommy gets a hug!"
Tyon sighed helplessly and put his book down with a dejected face. After Tyon set his book down, Alyce grappled him into a bear hug and kissed his cheek.

So many customers would come at once so Alyce had to expand her cafe quite a bit. In the end, everything worked out well.
Alyce closed her eyes feeling the sun's warmth from under the tree. She was about to doze off until she heard footsteps running up to her.
The two figures plopped themselves beside her and Tyon whispered, "Mom? A woman was following us."

She wanted to at least and try to keep the villainess alive despite her past and future bad deeds. She manages to stop the bullying plan to the female protagonist led by the villainess. In the end, fate isn’t that easy to change. On the exact day, the villainess was supposedly supposed to die, she appears in front of Alyce’s cafe in labor. With help, Alyce manages to save the children through the dangerous pregnancy leading to the villainess’s death. Ever since that day, Alyce kept the children away from the nobles and the royal family. 

Of course, the prolonged avoidance didn’t last too long. Many years later, Alyce was threatened into going to a party with nobles hosted by the royal family with the children. Scared, she goes and has her first interaction with the female protagonist but, something seemed strange, and her children could sense it too.

The female protagonist wasn’t hostile at all but oddly… friendly.
