This is my first book here in Webnovel. This book is a Story Poem, it's all about how you interpret the meaning, depends on what your perspective is when you read the book so, I guess it kinda accommodates every reader. It's the magic of reading really, your own imagination is your limit. I'm game for tips about writing and improving. I hope you all like my book, it isn't much as of yet and I'm kind of a beginner, so yeah, hope you guys appreciate it and I wrote this book well, because I wanted to try it and I love writing as much as I love reading.

A poem about a nightmare that only brings dark thoughts.

I wrote all of my poems and there are more to come. 
     The first poem is about a girl that is confused and questioning random things about life. 
     The second poem is about a relationship about a girl feeling like she is doing something wrong in the relationships and how she feels about how she caught her boyfriend cheating on her out of pain.

"Argh..." Theodore's head still aches of the certain trouble that arose yesterday between him and Ray. He spent hours listening to Ray about the hidden games he had.
Even though Theodore is still weirded out by Ray's taste in terms of games, he had to clear our the annoyance in his face and keep a straight one. For today is the real start of their classes.
As he opened the door to his class, he was greeted by Celaine waving at the place where they talked yesterday. He scratched his head knowing that he won't get a quiet day for himself.
With hesitation, he gathered up the courage to enter the classroom and sit next to the window.
With his lightning fast speed and drive to attain silence for the rest of the day, he pulled out his phone and headphone and wore it putting up a non-existent barrier around him.
He waited until the first lecturer went in.
And after a few minutes, someone did.
Everyone rose from their seats and greeted the lecturer with a "Goodmorning!" Followed by the lecturer's name and waited for their professor to respond with the same gesture so that everyone will sit down.
Theodore took off his headphones and brought out his notebook and a piece of recorder to record the lectures of the class.
Theodore was simply impressed by how straight to the point the lectures are. "Its a nice change of pace." He thought to himself.
There's no unneeded jokes, sarcasm or the professor being distracted by the students from useless questions. Everything they saw from the board were just that. There's nothing more, nothing less. It's the perfect place for absolute concentration on their studies and the atmosphere of the classroom is silent. But everyone was determined to learn as their fiery passion for learning helps them to write down all the things Professor Erin is listing on the board.
It has been just one subject but Theodore already filled out three pages worth of information. "If I was in middle school... This would've been a week's worth of lesson. I have to thank auntie for putting me here. There's no obnoxious clowns of professors."
The bell rang and an announcement followed, "Morning classes have ended. Return to your classrooms before 12:40 AM."
"H- hey Theodore." Celaine suddenly asked of him.
"Celaine." Theodore replied back at her as he was packing up his things.
"Well f- from our conversation yesterday... Would you like to continue about it? I've written some passages."
Theodore stopped what he was doing and looked at Celaine. He hasn't had company like this since all of his classmates before weren't simply interested in books. Even though he had plans to get new books in the library, "Sure... I guess. What did you make this time?"
"I didn't want to commit to such large projects yet so I... I- I started off with a poem." Celaine ruffle in the insides of her bag and brought out a notebook. It was filled with cute things like stickers of bears, sparkling with glitters and stars and a text in the middle named 'Diary.' "Here!" She handed it over with both of her hands as she lifted it up in the air above her head with her head looking down.
"Are you sure about giving me this..?"
"Eh?" Celaine brought the notebook she had and took a look at the front. "Ah! I'm sorry!" She took another go at her bag and brought out another notebook. Extremely neat, there's no rolls or anything. It seems to be a newly bought item. "Here!"
Theodore noticed that her hands were shaking. He desperately wanted to ask if this is the first time she's showing anything her work but he immediately knew what was going on. "No friends huh..." He thought to himself. He simply just accepted it and opened it up on the first page.
'Fleeting Feelings,' Theodore wanted to chuckle on how cliché that line is and wanted to say something about it but he just held back. Since he knows how nervewracking it is to show someone your work.
He then began to read the rest of the poem.

"S- so..." Celaine was stumbling in her words. Was it her personality or her being absolute in fear for what would Theodore say? "W- w- what do you t- think?"
Theodore put his fist on the side of his cheek trying to rest on it as he analyzes the content. "Forced rhymes, amateur-ish writing, some things doesn't connect and a cliché topic to tackle. But nevertheless its a good poem to start off with."
"I see!" Celaine's face lit up like a kid receiving a gift from Christmas. Her eyes were sparkling as she desired to know more on how to improve his writing. "What do you mean by forced rhymes?"
"You manipulate the next lines of text to rhyme the final word."
"T- that's true. That's why I had a hard time coming up with a new line of sentence!"
"Sometimes, poem doesn't need to rhyme as long as you relay the message. But sometimes, rhyming is fine too. You just need to find that style that is good for you. You already have a good foundation on what you're trying to do so the only thing that you need to do is improve on it."
"Ohhhh!!!" Celaine's face got even more brighter, "Theodore, have you written before or are you like an internet critique?"
He was confused on how to answer this since he is Adamo. Celaine's idol. "I've written before. I guess..."

This young man in his early life as a teenager is considered to be a talent born once every century. A modern Shakespeare. Highly regarded by thousands of people all around the globe with his tear-jerking creations of love story that will make men and women cry. 

In short, a genius.

But everyone knew of his true nature. Despite being awarded countless awards as one of the best romance author in the whole world, he's... clueless. Everything about love.

His cold demeanor and a stone cold face shows no signs of attractions or feelings to anyone. He doesn't feel any attraction to anyone. 

Now, he enters the first years of his high school life. Several interesting characters entered his life in which fate clearly planned to.

Will he be able to feel the feelings of the character he writes in his novels or will he just be the same old, cold and heartless, 'Void Writer'?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: As much as I'd like to reference real books in the real world in this story, I'm afraid that I cannot since there's copyrights and licensing protecting those things. And I'm not going to risk it. So that's why most of the books in this story will be made up by me.

A book hit him on the head with medium force. Amidst his confusion, he heard a girl's cold voice.
"Stay away from me."
He was dumbfounded.

It was just the first day of the week and Song Yaoyao had already stolen the show.
When the teacher arrived, he did not ask about the absent students. The literacy teacher with his half-bald head, minded his own business as he explained the textbook. Most of the students slept through the class, while a few listened to music on their headphones or played games on their phones.
So, when Wang Zhongyun glanced away from his textbook momentarily and saw the scene before him, his voice paused for a moment.
Who was the girl that was listening seriously to him? Song something...?
Wang Zhongyun furrowed his brows and thought seriously. Logically speaking, he should have had some impression of this beautiful and well-behaved girl. But for some reason, no matter how hard he tried to search through his memory, this girl did not seem to exist in his mind.
Evidently, Song Yaoyao did not leave much of an impression in the past.
"Ahem!" Wang Zhongyun put down his book and asked, "Student, what class are you from? Did you walk into the wrong room?"
Song Yaoyao, who was busy writing down notes, lifted her head in confusion: "???"
"Puhahahaha..."
As soon as Wang Zhongyun spoke, a troublemaking student burst into laughter.
As he pointed at Song Yaoyao, he said, "Sir! That's Song Yaoyao!"
Wang Zhongyun was completely confused, "Who's Song Yaoyao? Is she part of this class?"
"Yes! You've already been teaching her for 3 years!! Ever since the first year of senior high!"
The boy rolled his eyes speechlessly.
"Really?" Wang Zhongyun was skeptical. These students always caused trouble, so he didn't quite believe them.
So, he waved at the aggrieved girl as she looked at him with a pair of big watery eyes. "Come here, student. Do you know what I was teaching? Can you recite this poem?"
Song Yaoyao stood up obediently. "Are you talking about 'Ode To The Lute Player'? This poem was written by Bai Juyi, a poet from the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the long Yuefu poems. Do you want me to recite it?" She tilted her head as the sun shone down on her eyes, making them sparkle like glitter.
Her voice was delicate and her tone was gentle, creating a pleasant vibe.
Wang Zhongyun was amused as he looked at Song Yaoyao forgivingly. "This poem is really long. It's okay if you can't recite it."
To be honest, he was already pleased that Song Yaoyao was able to tell him what he was teaching and where it originated from.
At that moment, several students became interested and started watching the scene.
"Ode To The Lute Player? What's that? Is it a song?"
"It must be, right?"
"Oh? Is he asking Song Yaoyao to sing?"
The discussions entered Wang Zhongyun's ears, causing him to roll his eyes. Just as he was about to slam his hands on the table angrily and scold these useless kids, a girl's voice started reciting the poem calmly, immediately drawing his attention.
"One night, at Xunyang Pier, I bade my guests goodbye. Maple leaves and reeds created a magnificent autumn scene.
"As I dismounted my horse, my guests boarded their boat. We raised our drinks for a toast but there was no music to accompany it.
"We were drunk, but we weren't happy because parting neared. Meanwhile, the moon reflected in the river.
"Suddenly, from over the waters came the sound of a lute. I was distracted from returning home and my guests were reluctant to leave.
"Following the sound, we tried to see who was playing. But the lute stopped playing..."
...
"...She was skilled with the strings. First, she played 'The Rainbow Dress' followed by 'The Little Six'."
"The low notes were like pelting rain. The high notes were light like gentle whispers.
"High and low, a melody was formed. Like drops of water falling on a plate..."
As Song Yaoyao recited the poem, the wind swept up her hair, and beams of light danced above her head. She stood straight in her school uniform, and the well-tailored suit accentuated her slim waist. The scene was so beautiful that even the light that fell on her shoulders made one envious.


Song Yaoyao had already died in her previous life. Her life ended on the day of her 19th birthday. Cause of death: heart failure.
But now, she was alive again, and the throbbing pain in her temples told her that she wasn't hallucinating.
Not only had she come back to life — she had transmigrated into a silly novel that she once read and she was now in the body of the secondary female character. A pitiful girl with a weak personality and low self-esteem who ends up living a tragic life and dying!
But Song Yaoyao was not going to let that happen...

"Anjana, are you fine? Where are you sweating badly?"
            "Huh?"
            My mother was waving her hand in front of my face. I was hallucinating. Vayu, my husband wasn't standing in front of me.
            "Where are you lost?" She asked suspiciously.
            "No, nothing. I will get ready soon." I said and locked the door panting heavily. Soon I got ready in a creme sari with flowers on my head and my hair plaited. With my family we visited the temple. While my in laws visited another temple nearby. The weather was cloudy and the cool breeze was pleasant. 
            We reached back home and I decided to pack my stuff. So, all the clothes, jewelry and all my other stuff. I neatly folded and placed in my case. Just then I found my journal. The one which my brother gifted me on my eighteenth birthday, six years ago. I opened it and it was filled with my words. The words of sadness, happiness, tears, smiles and all of it. All of it written in the form of poetry and short stories. I kept turning the pages reading one by one, until I reached the middle of the book where I had written the last poem. The happiest poem ever,

It was my first day at college. The campus was huge and there were a lot of students enrolled here. KPJ college was know for all the grand fests, events, inter-collegiate completions and also the most successful alumnae. The academic curriculum had its own special values to add to the list. I was excited and finally it was a great escape from home. 
            On the first day we had welcome ceremony by all the teachers and the faculty. Then for the following week we participated in student induction program. All the activities and games were conducted by our seniors with exciting gifts for the winners. It was a wonderful experience. I wrote all my feelings in my journal. I carried it everywhere I went. It stored all the best and the worst feelings which I experienced. Sometimes I drew pictures around the words. Most of it were written in the form of poetry and short stories. 
            It was finally the time of the month where our college was conducting its grand cultural, literary, and sports intercollegiate tournament. Many students from other colleges visit KPJ college for three straight days and enroll in the competitions and finally one college will be awarded the grand prize for winning the greatest number of competitions. I decided to just enjoy the eccentric atmosphere and witness the games and competitions. But my English professor enrolled me in the open mic competition which was to be conducted on the day two. I couldn't deny her, so I had to participate in one event. The topic was given on spot with five minutes preparation time and six to eight minutes performance on stage. I got the topic 'Love' which doesn't even exist in my life. I actually had a notion in my mind it is painful and untrue. I remembered a poem which I had written a few days ago about love and all the pain it had caused. So, I recollected it and recited the same I the open mic, with some melodrama. It did bring some tears in my eyes. 
            "Don't cry in front of the whole crowd. You are going to shame yourself." My brain said.
            "What?" I asked. 
            "Its okay. Letting all your pain out is a good thing." My heart said.
            That was the first time they both started the conversation in me. I had never expected I would have to listen to two different organs losing me. 
            I walked to the backstage as I finished with my performance. I heard a thunderous round of applause as I walked towards the backstage. At least they enjoyed my performance. I was glad. 
            "Claps and whistles for your pain." My brain commented with a sigh.
            "Think of it in a positive way. It was a lesson in your life, another door is opening for you." My heart motivated me. 
            "I don't know. I just performed for fun. Let's hangout." I lied to myself.
            "You are avoiding the real you." The brain said.
            Avoiding their chit-chats, I went to join my other classmates who were watching the other competitions. At the end of the day, the results were announced but the award distributions were held the next day. 
            Unexpectedly, I bagged the first prize, I was happy. Very happy. Since, after a long time I got a prize for my work. 
            The next day we had the finale rounds for the sports championship. And as the day came to an end; the prize distribution was held at the indoor stadium which could accommodate all the students from various colleges. Before my name was announced I was writing a poem in my journal.
Victory is so beautiful,
Wish I could share with you.
Sad am I, lost yet to be found,
Not in need of happiness.
In search of the real me,
Not a journey but pain to heal.
Did love cause the chaos?
Or was it destined?
Happiness I regret,
Maybe live a life just a joke.
Reality is all sorrow,
Award to fake words.
            I tossed the journal in my bag and dropped it near my seat while my name was announced. I ran towards the stage to collect my prize from our institute's principal. All the winners were asked to stay backstage for a group photo. All of us were happy and excited. Later, after the felicitation program I went to my seat and tossed my trophy in my bag and immediately left home as the event commenced at eight in the evening.
            Later, at home I realized that I had picked up some one's else bag which looked very similar to my bag. I couldn't find his or her contact details in the bag other than our college jersey for the football team and a empty sports water bottle. I panicked as my journal was in threat. I immediately took a picture of the bag and sent it across the lost and found page in our college website. No one responded to the post I updated. The next day I immediately went to the department to return and exchange my bag but every time I received the same answer that no one had come to report about it. 
            Sometimes I wandered holding the bag at the stadium and sports arena. No one seemed to notice the bag. 
            "No one wants to stay with you. Love gone. The journal which was like your best friend, left you." My brain told like a hero. 
            "Hey. It's nothing like that. Don't think bad. Maybe the owner of this bag couldn't find you. Have patience." My heart consoled me.
            With disappointment I sat there watching the players practice their games.

The pages of my book turned yellow. This thing was away from me for a long time and returned back mysteriously. I still kept examining the book.
            "Don't worry. Just like all this journal all the happiness and love will return back to you." My heart said, dancing around.
            "I sense a but in your statement." The brain trolled. 
            "You two started again?" I asked.
            "Anjana, shall I help you with the packing?" My brother walked in with a smile.
            He noticed the journal which was in my hands. 
            "You still have it? I never knew you will keep it all this while. Anyways now you won't be needing it. You have your life partner to share all the tiniest to the biggest things with you, right?" 
            "Hmm." I smiled and hugged him.
            Just then I saw Vayu sitting on the bed smiling and giving me flying kisses. 
            Was I hallucinating again?  

Poetry is a form of expression of a feeling, emotion or something which catches your attention into rich words.

"You know...we should probably get started on our other projects," Olivia blurted out.

Emma groaned. "Do we have to? Right now?"

Her girlfriend only shrugged. "Well, not right now, but—"

"Shh," Emma placed a finger over Olivia's lips, then proceeded to hug her even tighter. "Let me enjoy this for just a while longer. I don't want to think about school right now,"

Olivia chuckled. Funny how she was the one who wanted cuddles. They both knew Emma was the real snuggler between the two of them.

"Anything for you, princess."

"I can't seem to get this part," Emma rubbed her temples and groaned in frustration.

"Come on babe, you just gotta see it differently," Olivia walked over from her seat and stood behind her girlfriend.

"I don't get it," Emma spoke softly, trying not to let the fact that a girl as beautiful as Olivia was standing just inches away from her.

"Here," Olivia used her pen and circled a few words on Emma's poem before reading the stanza out loud.

"Bella,
tus senos son como dos panes hechos
de tierra cereal y luna de oro,
bella. [Translation: Lovely one,
your breasts are like two loaves made of grainy earth and golden moon, lovely one.]"

She looked over at Emma, who had her bottom lip between her teeth as she stared intently at the poem before her.

"Do you remember reading this in class?"

Emma nodded. "I couldn't help but think of you the whole time," she chuckled.

"Well then," Olivia raised an eyebrow and kissed Emma on the cheek. "Why are you having so much trouble writing your review?"

"I just don't know how to express everything I feel about this poem in words," Emma explained. "There's so much I want to say, but there never seems to be enough time...or space,"

She cocked an eyebrow and the A5 notebook Mr. Boldman had given them at the start of the semester for assignments.

Olivia rolled her eyes playfully. "Do your work, Emma Cassidy Jensen,"

"Oh, using my full name now, are we?" Emma turned her attention to Olivia.

"You're not listening," Olivia hummed. "Come on," she wrote a few lines in Emma's notebook and walked over to her own seat. "There. I've written the first few lines for you. The sooner you finish, the sooner we can do something else!"

Emma whined.

"I swear...you're such a baby,"

"Fine," the cheerleader resumed her staring at the notebook. This time, she had Olivia's notes to look at.

'This poem really speaks to me because it makes me think about how I've fallen in love with...well, the idea of love. The poet uses such soulful words and phrases that in turn form metaphors to convey his idea of what love really means.'

Emma let out a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding. Olivia's interpretation of the poem they'd recited in class was...beyond beautiful. She wasn't aware that her girlfriend had thoughts like these in her!

Emma always saw Olivia as the quiet girl who painted her feelings rather than articulating them with words. She supposed she should've seen this coming; what with Olivia being so good with the song they'd written for their music project.

This however, felt different. She could feel Olivia's eyes on her, seemingly awaiting a response. Emma looked up and sure enough, her eyes met those of her girlfriend's.

"Liv, this...I—"

"You don't have to say anything," Olivia chuckled lightly. "I was just helping you along,"

"Right," Emma cleared her throat. She could've sworn her girlfriend was playing mind games with her. Where was she going with this?

She decided not to harp on it too much and wrote the rest of her review.

"Mediocre," Emma said, once she'd completed her work.

"Let me see that," Olivia scoffed. She hated it when Emma talked herself down.

Emma had commented on the poet's perspective of love, much like she'd shown her just a while before.

'As quoted from the poet:

Bella,
tus senos son como dos panes hechos
de tierra cereal y luna de oro,
bella. [Translation: Lovely one,
your breasts are like two loaves made of grainy earth and golden moon, lovely one.]

This shows how in love with his partner that while it was her body he fell in love with, it wasn't just her physical attributes that drew him to her, but rather the fact that he had love for her stringing, quite literally, to the moon and back.'

"You're amazing," Olivia kissed Emma's temple. "I've finished my portion of the poem too. How about we go grab some froyo?"

"Please," Emma nodded in agreement. She hadn't wanted to admit it, but she really wanted to get out of the house.

She loved spending time with Olivia, but she wanted to spend their semester break outdoors, not cooped up in her room, reading poems that got her hot and bothered while not being able to do anything about it...

"Can I drive?" she asked.

"You're not letting that go, huh?" Olivia cocked an eyebrow in response to Emma's question. It seemed like whenever they had plans to go out, the younger girl would ask to drive, no matter how well she knew Olivia would say no.

Today could be an exception...

"Fine," Olivia replied after a moment of silence. She fished her keys out of her pocket and handed them to Emma. "I trust you," she smiled.

Emma squealed in delight.

"I'll be careful," she promised.

Olivia hugged her tightly. "Well then...let's go,"

The girls grabbed whatever they needed 9ff their desks: phones, wallets, keys.

Olivia was halfway out the door when she saw Emma stop for a quick run to the kitchen.

"Em, what are you doing?" she called out.

No response.

"Emma?" Olivia hollered once more, walking towards the kitchen now.

She spotted her girlfriend's bottom half by the fridge. Emma's full body came into view just as Olivia approached her. "Hi, I was trymmfg—" the younger girl tried to speak with a mouthful of marshmallows. 

"You're just doing this on purpose now," Olivia laughed. "Come on babe! I wanna get there before they run out of...marshmallows,"

They headed out to where Olivia had parked her car. Turning the key in the ignition, Emma backed out of the driveway and made their way to the frozen yoghurt place a few streets down.
